Nathan’s flatmate is moving out and he can’t afford to keep his flat with just his own teacher’s salary. Thankfully, a new physics teacher is starting at Truham and is looking for a place to live.

Hey everyone! Prompting for FireWorks Fest opens on January 27th, which is just 3 days away!

The theme of this fest is cliches and tropes, but what exactly does that mean? A trope, by definition, is a recurring element or a frequently used plot device in a work of fiction. Think enemies-to-lovers, hurt/comfort, there’s only one bed, soulmate AU, etc.

There are many categories of tropes, including:

-romantic tropes (ex: friends-to-lovers, fake dating)

-platonic tropes (ex: found family)

-character archetypes (ex: jock, nerd)

-AUs (ex: coffee shop, superheroes)

Prompts for this fest should include at least one fandom cliche/trope and at least one Heartstopper character.

Here are a couple of examples of prompts to hopefully help spark some ideas!

Tao is stuck in a time loop and can’t figure out how to break the loop! Will Elle be the answer he’s been looking for?

Darcy is mentioned to not have the best home life so maybe an exploration of how each member of her found family helps her heal.

Charlie gets snowed in at Nick’s during that snow day. Oh no, whatever are they to do?!

After Elle and Tao break up to go their separate ways for uni will they get a second chance at love after reconnecting at Nick and Charlie’s wedding?
