Filming begins on SAS Rogue Heroes series two, as new and returning cast are announced
Spring, 1943. With David Stirling captured and Paddy Mayne now in charge of the SAS, their attention must turn from the conflict in North Africa to mainland Europe. But GHQ have cast doubt over the future of the regiment, while the creation of a new unit and a surprise arrival make things even more difficult for the men. Can they prove that the SAS remains essential to the war, wherever it may lead them?
Jack O’Connell returns as Paddy Mayne, alongside Connor Swindells as David Stirling, Sofia Boutella as Eve Mansour, and Dominic West as Dudley Clarke. Gwilym Lee (The Great, Bohemian Rhapsody) joins SAS Rogue Heroes for series two to play Bill Stirling, David Stirling’s brother and founder of the 2SAS regiment, while Con O’Neill (Happy Valley, Our Flag Means Death) will play General Montgomery.
Also strapping on their boots to return for series two are Theo Barklem-Biggs as Reg Seekings, Corin Silva as Jim Almonds, Jacob Ifan as Pat Riley, Jacob McCarthy as Johnny Cooper, Stuart Campbell as Bill Fraser, and Bobby Schofield as Dave Kershaw. They will serve alongside new recruits Mark Rowley (The Last Kingdom, The North Water) and Jack Barton (Heartstopper, War of the Worlds), who will play SAS members Jock McDiarmid and John Tonkin respectively.
Further new cast members for series two include Paolo De Vita (Anonymous, La Grande Guerra del Salento), Anna Manuelli (Blocco 181, Pezzi unici), Edward Bennett (Industry, Save Me Too) and Matteo Franco.

Rhian Ramos is Mitena, Cassiopeia's twin sister who is going to be the main villain on the show.
Giiiiirl, I have always, always wanted Rhian to be a part of Encantadia and I am so happy that she's finally here! ❤️ I am so impressed with her latest performance as Margaret Royales in Royal Blood and I just know that she's gonna nail this role. I hope and pray that Solenn is going to reprise her role as Cassiopeia.
I am also happy to see Glaiza back as Hara Pirena, still wishing for Sanya, Gabbi and Kylie to be part of the show 😭.
Anyways, these are the rest of the cast members:
I see some really seasoned actors like Sherilyn Reyes, Ricky Davao and Bianca Manalo and some fresh faces whom I hope will not disappoint.

Dear President Biden,
We come together as artists and advocates, but most importantly as human beings witnessing the devastating loss of lives and unfolding horrors in Israel and Palestine.
We ask that, as President of the United States, you call for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel before another life is lost. More than 5,000 people have been killed in the last week and a half – a number any person of conscience knows is catastrophic. We believe all life is sacred, no matter faith or ethnicity and we condemn the killing of Palestinian and Israeli civilians.
We urge your administration, and all world leaders, to honor all of the lives in the Holy Land and call for and facilitate a ceasefire without delay – an end to the bombing of Gaza, and the safe release of hostages. Half of Gaza’s two million residents are children, and more than two thirds are refugees and their descendants being forced to flee their homes. Humanitarian aid must be allowed to reach them.
We believe that the United States can play a vital diplomatic role in ending the suffering and we are adding our voices to those from the US Congress, UNICEF, Doctors without Borders, The International Committee of The Red Cross, and so many others. Saving lives is a moral imperative. To echo UNICEF, “Compassion — and international law — must prevail.”
As of this writing more than 6,000 bombs have been dropped on Gaza in the last 12 days — resulting in one child being killed every 15 minutes.
“Children and families in Gaza have practically run out of food, water, electricity, medicine and safe access to hospitals, following days of air strikes and cuts to all supply routes. Gaza’s sole power plant ran out of fuel Wednesday afternoon, shutting down electricity, water and wastewater treatment. Most residents can no longer get drinking water from service providers or household water through pipelines…. The humanitarian situation has reached lethal lows, and yet all reports point to further attacks. Compassion — and international law — must prevail.” – UNICEF spokesperson, James Elder
Beyond our pain and mourning for all of the people there and their loved ones around the world we are motivated by an unbending will to stand for our common humanity. We stand for freedom, justice, dignity and peace for all people – and a deep desire to stop more bloodshed.
We refuse to tell future generations the story of our silence, that we stood by and did nothing. As Emergency Relief Chief Martin Griffiths told UN News, “History is watching.”

INTRODUCING: CRACK IN THE CHASSIS
Because we always need more cracky fanworks. Yes, even if we have a billion already. We need more.
Every absurd crossover or AU, every ludicrous pairing that would never ever happen in canon, every "What if?" thought that was followed by "Actually, it'd be weird as hell but I could make that work"--we want them.
SPN canon brought us evil clowns that explode into glitter and an entire season where the villain was high fructose corn syrup. Fandom can make it worse. We have the technology.
Crack in the Chassis is bang and a reverse bang at the same time--but NOT limited to fanfic and 2D fanart!
THAT'S RIGHT. You can get cracky with format as well as content!
Have a bunch of SPN figurines you'd love to pose for photo stories or--if you're a masochist--stop motion animation? We'll take it.
Do you have a ton of red color gel food dye and a sheet cake that would make the perfect canvas for a torture scene? We'll take it.
Do you have a few "in this essay, I will" jokes that you're lowkey dead serious about, even though you know you'll look like the Pepe de Silva meme? Don't be self conscious. We'll take it!
Filk, animatics, short films, cosplay--if you can find a way to transmit your fanwork over the internet and it's ridiculous as hell, then you can submit it to CRACK IN THE CHASSIS.
You can be either a pitcher (creating your work first) or a catcher (claiming a work from the gallery and creating a work in response to it.)
And don't worry, if you want to keep to the traditional ways, fanfic and digital fanart are fully welcome.
As pitcher, you can specify which types of fanworks you're willing to claimed by! You can treat this as a traditional bang or reverse bang if you want to--or you can get a bit adventurous. Allow your fanfic to be claimed by another fanficcer and see what it's like to collaborate with the same equipment. 😏 Mark yourself as exclusively fanart4fanart and watch the ficcers cry about it.

Brazil is a difficult country to be represented due to its large ethnic and cultural diversity. As we do not have only one traditional clothing, I decided to add to her casual clothing some cultural aspects and details.
Mayara is a parda (mestiza/mixed) woman. She has long dark curly hair and bright hazel eyes (they're not green) with a small mark below her left eye (Portugal's influence).
(The images above are some examples of Brazilian women that inspire Mayara's appearance).
Her basic clothing is composed of a white lace blouse and a tiny turban made of floral green chita cloth.
She wears simple jeans shorts with a guaiaca (gaucho belt) decorated with an Aparecida buckle.
Her earrings are based on indigenous (povos originários) earrings, made of beads and feathers.
Her sandals are made of leather; they're traditional sandals worn in the Northeast region of Brazil.

Brazil Rallies Global Leaders to Fight Climate Misinformation
In a significant stride toward combating Climate change misinformation, Brazil, in partnership with the United Nations, has initiated a groundbreaking international collaboration. Announced during the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro, the Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change aims to tackle the spread of false information that could impede global environmental efforts.
With the participation of Chile, Denmark, France, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and Sweden, this alliance marks a collective effort to promote truth in the Climate change discourse. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva emphasized the necessity of a united front, stating that no country can address this challenge in isolation.
Under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the initiative plans to raise between $10 million and $15 million over the next three years. These funds will be channeled into grants for nonprofits dedicated to researching climate misinformation and enhancing public awareness.

Princess Anne’s visit reinforces Sri Lanka-UK bonds - Plaudits for hard work and modest outlook
Published 14th January 2024
By Pramod de Silva
The British Royal Family is changing their outlook following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II and amidst increasing calls for truncating or even abolishing the monarchy.
Indeed, gone are the days when the British Empire was known collectively as a region where the “Sun never sets” as its colonies were located all over the globe, from Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) to South Africa. Now there are only a very few British protectorates left, including the Falklands Islands. All others have either become Dominions with King (Charles III) as the titular Head of State (examples include Canada and Australia) or Republics with no sovereign ties to the British King, such as Sri Lanka and India.
A humble Princess Anne carried her own bags off the plane as she arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake with her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy LaurenceA humble Princess Anne carried her own bags off the plane as she arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake with her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.
Yet, the British Royal Family maintains a measure of popularity in the so-called Commonwealth Countries, which are former colonies of Britain, even if their fame has taken a hit in the UK itself particularly following the death of Princess Diana, and the separation of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle from royal life. The couple has since been living in California, USA.
Queen Elizabeth II’s visit
Sri Lankans, for whatever reason(s), do have a soft corner for the British Royal Family, in spite of the mixed colonial legacy in the country. This was evinced when Queen Elizabeth II arrived here for the first time in 1954. This visit was significant for two reasons. The first was that Sri Lanka hadsaman gained Independence from Britain just six years earlier, in 1948. And Sri Lanka was still a Dominion back then.
The second was that this was one of the Queen’s first official overseas visits after her Coronation on June 2, 1953. She wore her Coronation Frock at one of the events in Colombo during this tour. She would go on to occupy the Throne for nearly 70 years. Her next visit to Sri Lanka was in 1981, by which time the country had become a Republic. But judging by the raucous reception she received wherever she and Prince Philip went, her popularity in Sri Lanka was intact.
In between those two visits, the couple became the proud parents of four children – Princes Charles (the present King), Andrew (Duke of York, though now mostly retired from Royal Duties following a string of scandals), Edward (Duke of Edinburgh) and Princess Anne, now known officially as Princess Royal. She thus happens to be the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth.
It is no secret that Princess Anne is the sibling closest to King Charles, ever-ready to steady the ship amidst the turbulent storms that the Royal Family faced in the years following the tragic death of Princess Diana in Paris in 1997. Her scandal-free life and easy going nature had endeared herself to Royal fans all over the planet.
This might explain the buzz surrounding last-week’s official visit of Princess Anne to Sri Lanka to mark 75 years of diplomatic links between the two friendly countries. Given the revolving door that is Number 10, one cannot imagine a better ambassador to mark this occasion than apparently someone from Buckingham Palace – and the hardest working member of the British Royal Family at that. Princess Anne has earned that moniker from the press thanks to her non-stop work for good causes around the world.
A royal expert has explained why the Princess Royal was chosen as the first member of the family to go away in 2024, as she was praised as being “invaluable” to King Charles. Richard Fitzwilliams said: “Princess Anne is an example of what the public most admire in a working royal, she is dedicated, conscientious and prefers a low profile and no fuss.”
First-ever Royal visit for 2024
Princess Anne began the second day of her Sri Lanka tour with a visit to the Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic) in KandyPrincess Anne began the second day of her Sri Lanka tour with a visit to the Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic) in Kandy
In fact, her trip to Sri Lanka gained international media attention due to several reasons, with magazines such as Hello! And People devoting multiple pages to the coverage, not to mention all mainstream British newspapers. After all, this was the first-ever overseas visit by any Member of the Royal Family for 2024. Princess Anne is no stranger to Sri Lanka, having visited the country previously in 1995, as a patron of the Save the Children Fund.
The media were quick to highlight the fact that Anne (73) and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence (68) flew on a commercial airline to Colombo, whereas they could have requested a Government Airbus A330 or other aircraft from the Royal Air Force (RAF). In fact, SriLankan Airlines, the only carrier which flies directly between London (LHR) and Colombo (CMB) could not hide its delight, posting on X under the headline “A Service Fit for a Royal”.
A SriLankan Airlines post said: “We are delighted to welcome onboard Her Royal Highness (HRH) the Princess Royal on her journey from London to Colombo on a three-day official visit to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and the UK. It is truly an honour to extend Her Royal Highness and the delegation our inherent Sri Lankan warmth and hospitality, thereby presenting the first taste of our island home through our service. We thank the HRH for honouring us with her presence onboard and choosing us for the journey.”
Royal commentators and observers were also delighted to note that the couple carried their own bags, both at the points of embarkation and disembarkation. Princess Anne and Sir Tim’s down-to-Earth nature was displayed by them carrying their own bags onto the flight, the commentators said. One eagle-eyed royal writer even noted that one of her bags was from the French brand Longchamp’s La Pliage Line, costing just 115 Sterling Pounds, at a time lesser mortals like to show off bags from the likes of Louis Vuitton costing thousands of pounds or dollars.
A welcome ceremony at the airport saw the two Royals greeted by dancers, music, Union Jack flags and a red carpet. Princess Anne, sporting sunglasses, was received by dignitaries including the British High Commissioner Andrew Patrick and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry, PC.
Princess Anne and Sir Tim kicked off their engagements right away, heading first to the MAS Active Factory near the Airport, one of the largest apparel tech companies in South Asia and identified by the UK Fashion and Textile (UKFT) Association as an important Sri Lankan partner. As President of the UKFT, the Princess Royal met staff and toured the facility to hear more about their innovative designs and partnerships with leading UK brands.

Letter from King Charles
The couple also met President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prof. Maitree Wickremesinghe at the President’s House. Her brother King Charles had outlined “considerable challenges” that the world is facing in a letter delivered by Princess Anne to President Wickremesinghe during this meeting.
The Royal Couple also got the opportunity of meeting former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga on this occasion. She was the incumbent President when Princess Anne last toured the island in 1995. Royal watchers praised the Princess’s modest outfit worn to this important event. Hello! Magazine described her outfit in this manner: “Putting on a colourful display, the Princess Royal asserted her sartorial prowess in a ravishing red shift dress adorned with blooming pastel flowers. For an additional pop of colour, the royal added a berry-red lipstick, balancing her ensemble with a draped cream scarf and white gloves.” Another royal watcher said that her white gloves worn at the event were a subtle nod to the legacy of her mother.
Princess Anne, with her lifelong affinity to the Save the Children Fund, also took time off her busy schedule of meetings to visit its offices in Colombo and inquire into their programs in Sri Lanka. After unveiling a plaque commemorating the 50th anniversary of Save the Children working in Sri Lanka, she gave an impromptu speech to staff and guests at the charity’s Colombo HQ.
Princess Anne said: “It’s a real pleasure to return to Sri Lanka and the chance to visit Save the Children’s (headquarters) and underline the fact you have been doing extraordinary work here for 50 years.’ And I know, because when I came before it was slightly different, things have changed a lot. But the very fact that you are here and seen as valuable partners to the Government and the departments – that says a lot for what you’ve achieved…So a big thank you to all those who have been part of that journey, thank you all very much.” She also visited the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) in Colombo.
Princess Anne paid her respects to the Fallen Heroes of World Wars when she laid a wreath in their memory in Colombo, during her first visit to a Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) cemetery in the Jawatta area as the organisation’s President. They also visited the nearby Vajira Pillayar Hindu Kovil, where Sir Tim dashed a coconut to ward off bad luck. Chief Priest Sachithanantha Kurukal went into the shrine to conduct the pooja as Princess Anne and her husband watched, and they later toured the temple viewing the many shrines to Hindu Gods.
The Royal Couple then left for Kandy, where they paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha at the Sri Dalada Maligawa. Dressed in white, Princess Anne was ushered into an inner sanctum, reserved for the temple’s most important guests, to make her offering to the Sacred Relic in private.
Princess Anne engaged in a friendly conversation with Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike KumaratungaPrincess Anne engaged in a friendly conversation with Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga
Later, the couple travelled to Jaffna, where they toured the famous Jaffna Public Library, which was burnt down by mobs in 1981 and then rebuilt to reflect its former glory. The couple toured the library “where they heard of its significance to the community and met key figures from the fields of education, arts and culture,” said the British High Commission in Sri Lanka. Andrew Patrick, British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, called the building “a landmark of great significance”. “This important moment marks the first visit by a member of the Royal Family to Jaffna,” he added.
The library was one of the largest libraries in Asia and housed over 97,000 unique and irreplaceable palm leaves books (ola), manuscripts, parchments, books, magazines and newspapers, before its destruction in 1981.
The couple had several other engagements in Sri Lanka before they flew back to the UK after a highly successful visit, which reinforced UK-Sri Lanka ties. Several more events will be held in 2024 to mark this milestone.
Princess Anne’s Sri Lanka visit is her second official engagement of this year, having returned to duties on January 4 to attend the Oxford Farming Conference.
The King and Queen are also set to fly overseas later this year. The couple are expected to visit Canada in May, before flying to Australia, New Zealand and Samoa in October.
As for the Prince and Princess of Wales, they too will be preparing to return to Royal Duties in the coming week, which comes after the family celebrated Princess Kate’s 42nd birthday on Tuesday January 9.

FULL NAME sicily alessandra de - scorro silva
BIRTHDAY september 1st ( 23 ) .
BIRTHPLACE boca raton, florida.
GENDER genderfuid.
OCCUPATION college student / wants to be a marine biologist sooo bad.
BUILD slim, althetic.
HAIR COLOR brown .
EYE COLOR brown.
HEIGHT 5’6.
PARENTS tbd ( wanted connection ) .
SIBLINGS tbd.
PETS irwin ( cat ) .
mun is autistic & takes forever to respond back to dms. don’t be alarmed by this and after a while if i haven’t gotten back to you, feel free to nudge.
the information about where sicily comes from match the memory of this time in her life: nothing. there's a few scraps of paper, a torn birth certificate that omits most useful parts aside from her name in the basket, underneath the wool blanket she was placed ontop of. a firehouse baby, the one you hear about in stories and have those lifetime movies about overcoming adversity. this is not one of those stories.
from a young age, sicily never truly felt like she belonged anywhere. bouncing from foster home to foster home, the girl was always a bit too much emotionally. sudden outbursts then socially withdrawing, unsettling comments to peers and teachers alike, general dislike for most of the population .. she never made many connections that were worthwhile, at least to her. you have friends, you have acquittances, then you have whatever sicily considers bearable. every change of home was like a bad omen of what's to come, and for what it's worth, she never did it on purpose. much. they just didn't understand her. and after a certain point, she stops trying.
sicily goes through life like a lone wolf. thinking she doesn't need anybody, but instinctually, knowing she does. she throws herself into her interest. instead of spending days trying to get to know whatever foster parent she's with for the moment, she spends it somewhere else. free things: window shopping on main street or using the library computers. they'd rather fill up their brain with knowledge on favorite subjects than just withering away, wishing for a different life. it's no secret that their foster parents give up on them, but he knows that at the end of the day, it's just another thing she has to deal with. the mantra repeats as she gets into the social workers car, silent and stoic.
there's a change of pace. they're brought to a group home — the kids there are noisy, bouncy, all in your face. sicily is offput by this. preferring to be alone and protect their peace, these kids weren't having it. this marks the longest stay sicily has ever had in one place, because they had a plan: travel to new york city and start a new life, together. he wasn't convinced. they're kids. what could they possibly do there? but nevertheless, finding the only people who doesn't make her wanna rip their hair out, she goes along. and it goes about as well as you can expect.
they hop on a train to new york city. almost a singular day, and by the time they exit the station, they're doing their best not to get noticed as a bunch of outsiders. the plan was to get a hotel and go from there. a group of rag tag teenagers shouldn't be too suspicious, but within the week, they're caught. sicily hates it. right when she thought she found the people she could be a family with, they're snatched from her. while a dumb decision, she knew that she needed somewhere new. somewhere she could actually try to be someone better. those fleeting moments of having people ( even if you asked her, it was ‘against her will’ ) was better than she'd imagined.
she was then moved to massachusetts. there were no more ties to florida, and at that point, they'd exhausted all options in the local area. it was pitiful, the beg to be somewhere else to her social worker – she's sure it wasn't protocol, or whatever, but they're not caring as much as they land in the bay state. bounced around a few more times until she landed with her current and final family. it was rocky waters, but they got to a somewhat - normal household. kind of.
she's not easy to get to know, nor does she bring their walls down despite desperately wanting to. always afraid they're going to leave, be taken from him. it's a hard price to pay, but she's slowly warming up, even now. it took eight years for her to have no friends, to a small circle. to being completely closed off to being .. semi - okay with being known. still to this day, they're still hyperfocused on things that serve them rather than personal relationships. schooling was and still is their strongest suit — he's currently majoring at an online university in marine biology, their first and only love.
ever the nomad, despite being on hiatus from this, sicily has been looking for work, internships, to further her career ---- though it's slim pickings, he's had a few different call backs. it's hard to decide what's right when they've grown .. semi - comfortable, if that's the correct terms for this. in a shock to her, it's easier for them to stay than it would be to go. this realization makes them sick to their absolute stomach, and she's unsure of how to approach it without wanting to faint. being comfortable is not something she's willing to give up, nor is it something she wants to think too hard about. so here they sit, pondering and thinking about the what ifs and what should've beens when their mind runs a little too wild.
she is cordial and tends to be somewhat mutual in most interactions, is not friendly. quiet, aloof and doesn’t like 90% of people. it’s not you, it’s her. after spending a majority of her life ignoring societal norms and doing her own thing, she doesn’t plan on starting to follow them now. she’s abrupt, brash and all consuming. she tries to spare feelings if she likes you, but she’s overtly blunt in a way that’s not malicious .. but definitely can come across that way, and has lost a lot of friendships.
is autistic! love that for my baby. he knows that this isn’t a determent, and will share it proudly with anyone who listens. hyper fixates, a lot, and is very particular in how they shape their world. due to sensitivities, he often carries headphones and fidget toys ( is particular in a needough ice cube ) . safe foods or bust. tends to also think in somewhat black and white, but tries his best to see all perspectives. it just takes a while to get there.
throws themselves into activities and interests, and there's no stopping them from learning every last detail they can. this can range from new york city subway maps to their lifelong fixation, marine biology ( particularly sharks. they obsess over sharks. ) . is known to go to the library for hours upon hours, or have their face shoved into their tablet until the break of dawn on wikipedia. documentaries on rental, the whole thing. mentions them unprompted, and without care of the other party.
never wears anything fancy. wears the same five outfits in variations and rotations. never puts her hair up, always down. doesn't entertain fashion over being comfortable.
never had social media until about 2 years ago, and only owned a flip phone up until that point. he doesn't quite understand lingo and online terminology, and limits her social media useage. she doesn't like the impending doomscrolling and jealousy. the only one he tends to favor is tiktok, and even then, she limits herself to 10 videos at a time. usually about sharks. do NOT try to contact them. they will contact you.
her favorite color is blue, if you couldn't guess. wearing one variation of blue at all times. wearings the same adidas superstars they'd gotten about six years ago, the entire bottom is wore out and there's holes on the inside of the heel, but they don't want to let them go. they are also blue.
doesn't care about the norms of society or gender norms. answers to any and all pronouns. doesn't care to conform to anything, and does anything his way. truth be told, it's kind of freeing, in a way, and doesn't really care about what anyone else thinks …
that is, unless you're someone they like. she knows that the opinion of those she likes and cares about is important, and this is something they carry heavy in their heart – even the slightest turn of events that could make them upset can ruin their whole month until it's resolved, and even then they're still worried someone is mad at them. if they like you, they'll ride and die for you. those in his inner circle have them for life, unless there's some kind of betrayal. it's hard to know their limits of loyalty considering they haven't had a ton of relationships, so they're trying to feel it out.
they can hold a grudge for as long as they need to. never backs down from a fight in the petty game, and knows that they can play it better. will never be an outright asshole unless the situation ( or, what they've clocked from the situation ) calls for it — then you're dead fuckin' meat, bub.
has many enemies. including my own muse, sorcha.
has never been kissed or ever in a real relationship, as expected. as little to no experience nor interest in that kind of thing. whoever will be the first must be pretty damn special, because to get her to pay attention to you and not the shark exhibit at the boston aquarium will be hard. no interest in flings or hookups. just vibes.
holds in their emotions and doesn't tend to think before having an outburst. it's hard for him to realize when things are going to be too much as their is a ton of disconnect between interpersonal connection, so recognizing emotions before they spill over is hard — but there's tics to watch out for ( picking at her scalp, biting their nails, being agitated / irritable, extra fidgeting ) . he's trying her best, but it's a work in progress.
wanted connections ..
parents! on the main. they're somewhat close, or, as close as they can be. sicily appreciates them and lets them know in her own weird way (usually by crafting something or buying them things)
friends. this group is relatively small, and in my mind, they probably aren't in a mutual group – probably only know each other in passing or the like because of sicily. they attract various people, from all places and things. these are the people sicily has her loyalty lock set on, and can't find the key ---- y'all are stuck with him.
positive acquittances. these are people who know sicily and he knows them, but they're not friend level. sicily doesn't actively hate them or have malicious feelings for them, just .. there. they have the ability to level up or down, depending on future interactions.
negative acquittances. these are the people sicily can and will be a major asshole to because of past experiences. they have the ability to change her mind, but they're not very quick to let that happen. remember: grudge holder master.
family friends. these people know sici's family (perhaps parents or adoptive siblings?)
ex classmates. coming to hollowcreek in late teenhood, sicily attended the local high school until graduation
past foster siblings, particularly the group she ran away with. i think not being in contact then coming back into contact would be really fun to explore. i am also open to past foster siblings in hollowcreek and florida as a child as well!
someone she tutors unwillingly. aka she's like. do u want me to do this for you? (asks silently) and they're liek no? teach me this instead??? and he hates it.
older sibling / parental figures who take them under their wing.
perhaps a crush he doesn't know is a crush yet. she just like to silently hang out with them.
a bad influence, though she's very resistant towards it so it'll be really hard to achieve lmao.

"In the woods, with the passing years, the leaves change, those of one year falling, and new ones growing in their place, so words grow old and perish, passing like the generations of men from birth to maturity and then to death." Horace. Today marks the start of late autumn by the Roman reckoning which lasts until start of winter at the setting of the Pleiades in early November. A beautiful season of wine pressing, nut harvesting & trees preparing for winter's sleep; their leaves turning colour then falling.
"Ut silvae foliis pronos mutantur in annos, prima cadunt, ita verborum vetus interit aetas, et iuvenum ritu florent modo nata vigentque". Horatius
“No bosque, co paso dos anos, as follas cambian, caen as dun ano, e no seu lugar medran outras novas, así as palabras envellecen e perecen, pasando como as xeracións dos homes dende o nacemento ata a madurez e despois ata a morte." Horacio.
Hoxe comeza a segunda parte do outono pola conta romana que dura ata que as pléiades desaparecen debaixo do horizonte en novembro. Unha fermosa tempada de prensado de viño, colleita de noces e as árbores preparándose para o sono do inverno; as súas follas cambiando de cor e despois caendo.

Brazil’s rising role as a geopolitical heavyweight
Brazil takes center stage as host of this year’s G20 Summit, marking a defining moment in the nation’s ascent as a geopolitical powerhouse. Dina Ting, Head of Global Index Portfolio Management, explores Brazil’s economic ambitions alongside its increasing influence in shaping the future of international economic cooperation.
For many people, Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro evokes images of sunny beaches and colorful celebrations. But the city’s biggest international event of this year (in fact, the largest since the 2016 Olympic Games) will likely involve more suits than bikinis. Next month, for the first time, Brazil will take center stage on the world’s preeminent platform for global economic cooperation as host of the G20 (Group of 20) Summit in Rio.
The coalition, which includes the United States, China, India, the European Union, and most recently, the African Union, represents the world’s major economies—accounting for roughly 80% of global gross domestic product (GDP), 75% of global trade and two-thirds of the global population.1
Since taking office early last year for his third non-consecutive term, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s (Lula) has spent much time abroad trying to raise his country’s global standing. His efforts may be paying off. A recent Pew Research survey found that most Brazilian adults are optimistic about their country’s status as an international power.2
Beyond the G20, Brazil is also slated to play host for other high-profile events, such as the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) and the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit in 2025, while concurrently pursuing membership in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

“1988 marked the 100th anniversary of the Lei Áurea in Brazil, the legislation that officially emancipated slaves throughout the country. This anniversary sparked conversations about the historical significance of the Lei Áurea, and provoked new criticisms about how far Brazil had come in its treatment of Black people since that historical decree. It was in light of this renewed interest in the Lei Áurea that actor/filmmaker/activist Zózimo Bulbul debuted Abolição (Abolition), his first and only feature film as a director and the product of more than ten years of thorough research. Bulbul intended to use this anniversary as an opportunity to critically reflect on the conditions of Black Brazilians after the emancipation and to demonstrate that the abolition in fact had been a farcical scam. Notwithstanding that there were other films1 produced at that time which covered the Lei Áurea and racism in Brazil, Bulbul’s film explored these topics in a particularly unique way - it was the first Brazilian film shot by a nearly all-Black crew to portray the reflections of Black Brazilians on their own post-abolition condition.
One of the major aspects which made Bulbul’s filmmaking process stand-out from the other works that explored the conditions of Black people in Brazil is the breadth of locations which the film covers. The crew of Abolition traveled with their camera through sites and cities that remain crucial to the development of Afro-Brazilian culture. These included Bahia and Pernambuco (Northeast), Manaus (North), Rio Grande do Sul (Deep South), and São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (Southeast). Another of Abolition’s achievements is the way that Bulbul managed to shed light on a diverse array of situations in which Black people were living. For example, the crew captured interviews with key icons from the Afro-Brazilian community, such as Abdias do Nascimento, Lélia Gonzalez, Carlos Medeiros, Beatriz Nascimento, Grande Otelo, Joel Rufino dos Santos and Benedita da Silva. In the film, these interviews are occasionally shown on-screen sharing perspectives informed by their own Blackness, but in other moments, voices from the interviews materialize as the camera shifts its attention to Black bodies that are, despite being part of our social urban fabric, perpetually rendered invisible throughout our history: workers, the homeless population, the impoverished living in the slums, the street artists and so on.”
