a/n: don’t worry bout nun sweetheart. just laugh n vibe🫡

luffy: we all know how luffy acts but i think that everytime he sees his grandpa or his brothers he starts acting like the whiney kid he was when he was younger.

kidd: him and killer made the “if im not married by 30 then we’re getting married” promise to eachother. killer forgot all about it but the memory of it haunts kidd til this day.

doflamingo: i swear that he has tripped over that feather cape he be wearing.

law but younger: he has dyed doffy’s feather cape black and hid corazon’s and proceeded to help them search for it… (absolute menace)

franky: he has 100% poured water on iceberg in his sleep and til this day he’s never gotten caught.

ussop: for a period of his childhood i feel like he was an adamant believer that he didn’t have a dad. (yassop knew he could’ve sent a letter or sum)

benn becky: acts like the responsible one but is just as irresponsible as shanks when it comes to certain things (THEM FAWKING CIGARETTES THATS RLLY A BLUNT)

sanji: he has a journal(it’s a diary) and he writes little letters to his mom everyday…he’s done it since she passed and he still has all the journals he went through. (damn that’s kinda sad)

whitebeard: as much as he’d hate to admit it…he kinda considers shanks and buggy as his sons seeing as he kinda watched them grow up. (him and roger coparented lol)

roger: he accidentally forgot shanks and buggy on an island…yes it happened more than once. (man ik rayleigh was on his ass..)

The Rocky Port incident...

...turned out to be another instance of Law meticulously crafting a plan only to shoot himself in the foot, then forming an emergency alliance and somehow turning the tide in his favor. That's incredibly consistent 😭

But now everything makes more sense. It seems Law's intended bargaining chip for becoming a Shichibukai was to hand over a Poneglyph/rubbings to the World Government, and he was accepted not because he submitted 100 hearts of random pirates, but primarily because he played a key role in taking down Ochoku and saving some VIP royalties (also for securing the Poneglyph, I suppose).

According to the translation we have in hand rn, the name of the vessel Law hijacked was "Rocky Port". We know there's a port in Hachinosu with the same name. Maybe it was named after the ship after this incident? (edit: it seems it'd always been a ship and not a port, so, nevermind lol)

But what "important" Poneglyph was there, anyway?

I don't think it's the missing Road Poneglyph. Probably a Rio Poneglyph protected by the resident pirates. I wonder if Law was originally looking for the Road Poneglyph possessed by the man marked by flame, but then changed his target. Curious that he didn't know two of the Road Poneglyphs are possessed by pirates, let alone Kaidou and Linlin..

The chaos that broke out was not part of Law's plan, he was lucky that Blackbeard arrived to join the fun, and they could come to an agreement. Koby, on the other hand, was probably the only marine who agreed to work with the pirates, and thus was able to save the most number of innocent 'Rocky Port' passengers.

I'm pretty sure it was Law who proposed the alliance. Scoring cookie points aside, his conscience surely kicked in. It wasn't his style to drag a ship of innocent civilians to a devil's nest, so he offered to form a pact with the marines to reduce casualty. Without his presence that buffered both sides, a three way alliance wouldn't have been possible.

I had a hunch that Blackbeard and Law might have worked together for some time. But why did Blackbeard need to work with Law? Was Ochoku that strong?

It seems Law didn't know Blackbeard could use two fruits at once (during their flight at Winner island), so Blackbeard likely didn't go all out. Possibly it was of Blackbeard's best interest to secure his victory without greatly damaging the island that he was soon going to rule, so he decided to follow Law's plan. He likely invited Law to his crew too, similar to Kuzan.

In retrospect, it makes sense as to why the alliance with the Straw hats puzzled Law so much, it wasn't because he didn't expect the chaos but because it was entirely different from his previous experience.

I didn't expect the main story the dive deep into Rocky Port incident, it was only a matter of time until we got a short summary. There's enough meat to it to extend it into a short comic, and there's plenty of time in future.

For now, I'm looking forward to the Japanese fanworks flood on Monday 🍿

You’ve riled him back up now. “Idiot. Didn’t I warn if you said such a stupid thing again, I’d fill that mouth of yours with something far more attractive?” Yet he still smirks at you because he was going to do this later anyway. But you’ve just guaranteed that it will be now instead and even that much rougher. Way to go you stupid worm, he thinks to himself. Hope you like the carpet burns on your knees and a sore throat to match.

Corazon/Rosinante (honorary pirate 😆)

“…….” He stares at you to the point that you start to get upset, but his expression changes to him being equally devastated as soon as you are. He grabs his notepad from the nightstand and frantically writes on it. It says: “Of course I’d still love you! But you are not a worm, please don’t ever think that!” He proceeds to accompany that writing with the most heartfelt, adoring stare you’ve ever seen on a man. He then cuddles you intensely for the rest of the night. The only worm he sees here is himself. He’s terrified that you’ll realize this too eventually because he does not deserve you.

Law

He gives a drawn out sigh, thinking that this is exactly what happens when you spend too much time with Shachi and Penguin. “Go. To. Sleep.” He says in utter annoyance before looking back to you and the puppy eyes you are now giving him. And this is something else that you have obviously learned from Bepo instead. It’s infuriating, but he just wants to go to sleep dammit as his resolve finally breaks. “Fine. What species of worm are you? Does it reproduce sexually or through parthenogenesis?” You don’t even know what that word means though. And he realizes that. Congratulations, you’ve now earned a biology lecture on the reproductive habits of a very specific flatworm species he had to dissect back in school at Flevance. You fall asleep while he’s still talking.

I don’t know why, maybe because I’ve been on a Garp kick lately.

But I do really think that Garp kind of became like a surrogate Uncle to the Roger boys and by extension Mihawk. Like I can just imagine Roger telling them that if they were ever separated from the crew or if something ever happened to him or Ray and they needed help they should go to Garp (I mean he entrusted his own baby to him it makes sense he’d also entrust his boys)

(for whatever reason Mihawk got this talk too despite him already traveling by himself and not being officially part of Rogers crew. But since Ray adopted him he’s Roger’s brat as well)

All this to say that Garp takes his uncle duties very seriously and what is an uncle if not an inconvenience and an embarrassment?

So Ofcourse he pulls up to Kuriagina during the timeskip (Hawain shirt and all) to visit his new grand babies (read Perona and Zoro) that he’s heard so much about. (read shanks immediately gossiped with him abou mt after stumbling upon them last time he came to visit Mihawk)

And because Garp is essentially the one piece equivalent of Florida man, this goes well for absolutely nobody

Except Zoro who is nothing if not a troll. And game must recognize game.

The monkeys love him tho, he communicates with them on a wavelength nobody can quite understand least of all Garp.

Was super jazzed to participate in the @opmetgalazine doing some little cute downloadable note/memo paper designs, it was a super fun project to work on and it came out SO nicely. Each sheet (with the exception of novas) had one larger and one smaller drawing that featured SWORD, X Guild, RA, Marines, and the Supernovas.
