Dungeon Meshi - Holm's undine, Marillier

I finnaly did some Holm drawings <3

Holm and Mickbell got separated from the rest of the party because of monsters. Mickbell is terrified because he knows they're the only left alive. If Holm dies, he'll be all alone down here and probably just get killed too. Holm is... badly injured, has little mana left, not enough to heal himself. He's having trouble breathing and everything hurts. Mick is pressing his hat(? against one of his many injures, but it's not doing much. He knows they'll both die here.

Everyone died before him trying to protect him. The monster took all his companions lifes before dying thanks to Marillier. He is so tired and roughed up of this happening (because it does happen a lot, to him to be the the last man standing and everyone dying in protecting him bc he can revive them), but let's it happen. He can't really do anything other than survive to help his friends and it's frustrating.

He's a silly creature. Frozen in place. Having prision flashbacks. He not okie-dokie.

Hello Mr Holm,

I had been wondering if you could tell me about about the husbandry of undines? I have read about them in our libraries, and I've heard they can sometimes make good pets. I never really did get to meet many being stuck in the castle for so long. I tried to ask Thistle about them a couple times, but that never did go well. In fact, I doubt he really even heard me.

(Ooc: I don't actually know alot about undines so this may be a kinda of wrong)

In the original fairytale, undines were said to be nymphs who's live were likely to be shorten if married. This is because if the man was unfaithful to her than she would die off. Undines are almost invariably depicted as being female, which makes sense because in Greece water is depicted as being a female element. And although I don't know alot about breeding them, I've heard that if a human and an undine have a child together that the child will have something called a "water mark", due to the human and spirits soul merging together. Also, I've raised Marillier since she was a water droplet so I would not suggest trying to catch a wild one for a pet.

Part Two of Holmposting for Episode 17

Today we're gonna focus a bit more on Marillier the Undine! Again, spoilers and violence ahead, with rapidly moving/flashing gifs.

Also, shout out to @/littlelightfish for this post that focused on their relationship:

Man, I really wanna know more about the spirits! The movement of the Undine as it primes itself to attack is really mesmerizing :D

And the way Falin pulls Marillier to her hand is just aaa!

And then LOOK AT HOLM. HE'S SO SAD D:

I wish they focused on his distraught face in the anime more, to be honest, but the bigger focuse was supposed to be for Kabru stripping his armor.

Here is Holm being in the aftermath, with comparisons to the original!

When the return spell is cast for the parties, Holm would be seen behind Kabru in the manga. In the anime, you only see him as he waits for Mickbell to hurry the fuck up lmao
