ISAT SECRET SANTA !!

hihihi!! some of you may remember the interest check poll i made a few weeks ago. now that were getting closer to the holidays, its time to finally put this out.

(i encourage you to read through everything before signing up!)

what is secret santa? how does it work?

to summarize… each participant will receive the name of another participant, and be tasked with creating a gift for them. the catch is that the gift, and who its for, is intended to be a secret until the gift is given.

for this event specifically, i will be hosting it through a discord server to give me easier access / communication with all participants.

important dates

NOV 20 -> sign ups are closed! no more participants past this date will be allowed in

NOV 21 - NOV 22 -> gifts and participants will be distributed

NOV 23 -> buffer day. an extra day added for me to go through and make sure there werent any errors or changes needed to be made to the randomized assignments

DEC 15 -> progress check-in! (no actual progress required to be shown)

DEC 25 - JAN 1 -> posting week! gifts are revealed and given.

rules + extra notes

all gifts should be kept pg! be extremely mindful of what you include in your gift. additionally, sensitive topics / imagery should be limited to be safe

while i have no actual control over your actions, i encourage people not to spoil their gifts early. its more fun as a surprise!

ocs / aus are allowed to be worked with so long as there are ref sheets + enough information for your santa to work off of

joining the server is required for participation, to make things easier for me to work with.

should go without saying, but- the gifts you create are required to be your own original work. stolen or AI generated gifts are not permitted

have fun with your gifts!! there is no point if your are not having a good time :)

how to sign up?

TWO very important steps.

1. fill out the google form!!

make sure to fill in all required spaces!

2. join the server!

both steps are required for your to be added to the participant list! if i see youve completed one without the other (example- filled out the form, but havent joined the discord) i might reach out and poke you about it.

okay so i watched all of mouthwashing last night and i have so many thoughts and feelings about it:

is it a good game? yes. overall, yes. the character writing, the sound design, the non-linear storytelling approach... 10/10. i love. very good. yummy. yay

i found myself incredibly pissed with the ending but that is NOT a criticism... more just a reaction. because like. what the Fuck

jimmy shouldve been the only one to die and im sure im not the first to say this but GOD. daisuke dies because of his incompetence. anya dies because of his selfishness and disguisting power hungry control. he straight up just shoots and kills swansea directly with his own two hands. like. jimmy is 95% of the downfall of the crew.

he encourages daisuke to drug swansea and tells the boy, knowing he's fully dependent on the orders and support of his "captain," to climb into the vents despite swansea's urging. he breaks into anya's room and SA's her (literally no justification for doing something like this. like. i cant imagine how anyone can defend this. genuinely.) gets her pregnant with a baby she never wanted, and refuses to take any accountability for it knowing full-well what he'd done. after swansea is forced to put daisuke out of his misery and anya is found to have ended her own life, jimmy ties up and shoots and kills swansea. LIKE...

AND THEN GETS TO JUST KILL HIMSELF IN THE END? call me evil idc but he deserved so much worse and everyone else deserved so much better

curly is somewhere in-between.

he knew the ship had regulation issues and not enough emergency pods for a crew of 5, but still made no about daisuke being added last minute.

he knew anya was pregnant. knew exactly who had forced her into that position. he should've been livid. should've beat the shit out of jimmy within minutes, but does virtually nothing. he does virtually nothing to hold him accountable nor truly comfort anya.

um. so yeah that game gave me emotions and thoughts and feelings
