(more…)

23rd Jose Maria Forque Awards
The 23rd edition of the Jose Maria Forque Awards were held on Saturday (January 13) in Zaragoza, Spain, where the dress code was quite varied among its attendees.
Goya Toledo: Wearing her favoured designer, Elie Saab, Goya relied on the intricate embroidery of the bodice to add a sense of glamour to the gown that was quite neutral in colour. Embellished accessories attempted to add a sense of sparkle to the look, but she could have done without the ribbon choker. We expect her to wear Elie Saab at the Goya Awards on February 3, so I am looking forward to what she brings to the red carpet there.
Juana Acosta: Even though we’ve seen Tilda Swinton rock this Chanel Fall 2017 jumpsuit, I didn’t mind its second showing here. Opting for a girly-chic approach, she styled the classic-cool piece with a ribbon ponytail whilst celebrating its cropped proportions that showed off her Jimmy Choo sandals.
Dafne Fernandez: I wanted to like this Fernando Claro suit, but it was missing some of the polished structure that makes these menswear-inspired looks so sleek and smart. The taupe colour was also a bit bland, especially with her shoe choice. Not even the brassy Jimmy Choo clutch could enliven it.
Hiba Abouk: Cut dangerously low—and dangerously high—this Balmain raw-edged gown was something of an eyeful. Aquazzuara ‘Zandal’ silver sandals were an odd choice with the gold buttons.
Maribel Verdu: I can see where Maribel was going with this Temperley London Spring 2018 ruffle gown, brightened with colourful embroidery. But, it seemed to lack the structure and shaping that would have greatly helped its silhouette. Yanes jewels were fine, but she should have lost the watch.

LUCIANA’S PUBLIC KUWTT ACCOUNT!
NAME: Lulu Lopez! NICKNAME(S): Lulu Lemon AGE/DOB: 19/7/9 LOCATION: Tuscaloosa, Alabama. GENDER: Female! SEXUALITY: I love love. RELATIONSHIP STATUS: In love with the best girl SCHOOL: University of Alabama Law School SELFIE: [click here]
OTHER INFORMATION, NOT INCLUDED ON KUWTT
FULL NAME: Luciana Alison Lopez GENDER: Female PRONOUNS: She/Her BIRTH ORDER: Third TYPE: Solo (Half) ORIENTATION: Pansexual/Panromantic MAJOR: Pre-Law MINOR: GRADE: Sophomore FACE CLAIM: Lauren Jauregui
LUCIANA’S STORY
[Anxiety tw, kidney disease cw, blood cw]
Maribel Lopez had two great loves of her life: the first, was Pedro Fernandez. The second was Andres Lopez. Pedro was the kind of man who Maribel just couldn’t quit, they’d been in love for years but ended up marrying other people. It was one hot, summer night when Maribel ended up sleeping with Pedro, therefore cheating on her husband, Andres. Lucianna was born out of love, but the kind of love that tore a family apart. Maribel slept with Andres as soon as she realized she was pregnant, so that he’d never know the truth.
Growing up in Lima wasn’t exactly the best place in the world for a girl like Luciana. Nicknamed Lulu from the time that she was a child, she always was a very curious little girl. Inquisitive was a great way to describe her, as she constantly was bombarding her mother, Maribel, with questions. More than that, she could never let a conversation end unless she somehow had the last word. Once Lulu started talking, she never stopped, which her siblings can definitely attest to. Charming, beyond sweet, and extremely caring would be the ways that one would describe her. While you wouldn’t exactly call Lulu a pushover, she definitely was the sort of child who had a great moral compass.
Her temperament could only be described as charismatic, but despite her talkative nature, Lulu is definitely a modest person. She spent the majority of her childhood years exploring every possible hobby and interest she could, but figured out fairly quickly that she enjoyed public speaking and being on a stage. Her voice was beautiful, of course, but she preferred acting for the most part. She loved the idea of being able to put on a costume and then suddenly be a different person. She began to be in school plays and musicals. Lulu debated even joining the Glee Club, but found that she’d rather act and sing than just sing.
It wasn’t until Lulu was a teenager that her anxiety started to manifest in itself, but only because she expected perfection and anything less than that was a failure. Receiving a 94 on tests was only okay, and despite all of the studying she did in the sciences and math, she never seemed to pull her grades above an A-. With the pressure, in part put on her by her mother, and by the fact that her relationship with Andres was rapidly deteriorating, Lulu began to have panic attacks in situations where she wouldn’t do well. Amazingly, she could get up onstage in front of hundreds of people while acting and singing her soul out, she could demolish any opponent in her debate class, but when it came to taking a physics test, she would freeze up.
Lulu was sixteen years old when she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, which would require her to have frequent blood transfusions. It was here that the truth came out– her father was not a match. After he demanded a DNA test from Maribel and from Lulu, the truth came out. Lulu holds a ton of guilt for her parents’s separation and realizes that she’s probably the cause of it.
Lulu quickly gave up the acting bug she’d began, mostly because she was missing a lot of school due to her constant need to rest, but because she still had her sights set on going to college. She began researching professions that also would make a good match for people who liked theatre, and she quickly decided to try for law school instead. It would be a bit of a reach for her, not only financially, but between her illness and struggling to catch up with all the work she’d missed, plus the new strain on her family, she was devastated when she didn’t get in to her first choice. She did rack up a free ride to the University of Alabama’s Law School, where she is studying criminal law.
Lulu’s style could definitely be described as comfortable and minimalist. She wears a lot of collared shirts and pants. She can always be found in glasses. Lulu doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, and prefers to let her natural beauty shine through. When she was in high school, she tended to be a lot more dramatic and creative with her makeup and style choices, but now Lulu tries her best to blend in.
