Part 4 of timinette siblings with Kon and Bart coming over and bonding?
Maybe they were on an off-world mission of something and they video-called him
A second Anonymous person asked: If you make a part 4 (you do not have to) for the sibling Tim and Marinette, I think its time we see some protective big brother Tim moments don't you think? Stepping in when he spots a guy crowding his sister to suing Lila and Alya when he discovers the bullying, and the blog. Helping Mama Sabine bring evidence to the school board over the mistreatment of Mari, maybe his reaction to hearing Damien calling Mari a 'harlot' or 'tramp' (Tim totally goes to Luka for 'how to be best big bro' advice)
So I’ve decided to put them together. Enjoy!
Siblings Don’t Stand Back and Watch, They Always Get Involved
First <> Previous
Tim absolutely ADORED his sister. She had done so much for him and he could never thank her and her their parents enough. Tim had gone from hating who he was and feeling like a tool to be used and tossed away to knowing that he was loved and needed not for his intellect and what he could give, he was needed because he existed and they enjoyed spending time with him. They were all so supportive of him and his choices, and he almost cried when they said it was okay if he didn’t want to talk some days and just silently stayed with him. No interrogation, no forceful tactics, not even a hint of manipulation, they just loved and cared for him.
He had explained all of this to Cass during a lunch they had together while Marinette was at school. She had smiled brightly at him and said,
“Happy for you Little Brother. They good for you.”
Her tone was gentle and he could hear and feel the joy and love that she felt for him. Once he was finished retelling everything that had happened since they had seen each other in person he asked her about her time in Hong Kong and about all of the different things she had done and learned there. He loved the way her eyes lit up as she signed out all of her experiences. The way she moved her hands with such excitement and the swiftness showed just how much she loved the new city she called home.
After they finished their lunch Cass asked if they could surprise Marinette at school. Now that Tim thought about it, he’s never actually been to Marinette’s school before, and it had been months. He quickly nodded and they headed to Collège Françoise Dupont to surprise their little sister at her school. Once they got close enough to the school they could hear a loud commotion which worried Tim.
“Look at Maritrash!”
“Where are your bodyguards now, huh?”
“Not so invincible now, are you?”
“I can’t believe she would do that to Lila!”
“What happened to the sweet girl we once knew?”
Tim and Cass made eye contact for a moment before both rushed through the crowd and through the school in search of the small bluenette. He had heard things here and there about how cruel some of the people here could be, heard about the girl that could twist anything, but it seems that it was extremely downplayed if this was what was happening during their lunch hour.
They shoved their way toward the center of the gathered mass of students to see Marinette in the center, food completely covering her, and every time she took a step toward the crowd in hopes of an opening to escape, she was pushed back and something else was thrown at her. And near the center watching what was going on with a face full of sorrow, but eyes full of gleeful malice and Tim snapped.
“Marinette!”
He yelled while rushing towards her which caused her gaze to snap towards him. He quickly pulled her to his chest which caused her to start shaking, her breath spiking slightly, his shirt becoming damp. He needed to get them out of Paris and quickly before Hawkmoth got the opportunity to use her rightful emotions against her.
“Cass, I need you to call Kon.”
He yelled over the cacophony of people yelling and shouting profanities toward him. He couldn’t focus on that right now though, he had to stay vigilant and protect his sister. She was priority number one at the moment. He wondered where the others were, but then recalled that Chloe, Adrien, and Kagami were on a business meeting with their parents out of the country. It didn’t help that Kagami and Luka were out in different schools, but that didn’t explain where Juleka was, and he couldn’t find her in the crowd at all. He could feel things begin to hit him, but that didn’t matter because they weren’t hitting Mari.
Bang
The entirety of the school froze and turned toward where the noise had come from. Teachers began to pile out of the room with looks of fury and outrage even before they noticed the crowd of students, but once they did their looks made even Tim shiver in fear.
“So you think it’s funny to trap the entire faculty in the boardroom just so you could cause havoc? Well you’ve all got another thing coming to you.”
The girl with sinister tear filled eyes spoke, clinging to another student.
“M-Marinette did it! We tried to get her to-to stop, bu-”
“I’ve heard enough from you Rossi! After a similar stunt was pulled we were able to get the camera footage sent directly to our phones, we know exactly what happened, and so will your parents.”
At that the girl paled, and Tim felt a vindictive satisfaction. There was a small yank on his sleeve and he looked to the side to see Cass pulling him towards the doors. Kon must have arrived.
“Hey, I have a few friends that want to meet you. Follow me.”
He whispered softly into her ear. She nodded wordlessly and let herself be pulled along as they traveled past all of the students who were still being yelled at by the teachers and staff. Once they made it to the stairs Kon ran up to them and looked all three of them over, slightly panicked.
“What happened Tim?”
“Can you take us to the tower? We need to get out of here quickly.”
Tim urgently replied.
“Lila might become Akumatized.”
Marinette murmured against his chest. Tim ran his fingers through her hair and whispered,
“It’ll be you if we don’t leave now.”
Tim gently pushed her towards Kon and looked him directly in the eye,
“This is Marinette, take her first and make sure she’s safe.”
Kon nodded and waited till Marinette came towards him before he picked her up and left. Tim slowly clenched his fists and took in long slow breaths before relaxing them again. He needed to be level headed right now, he needed to tell their parents about what happened. Sabine had told him all about how she, Tom, and many other parents protested against the school to the school board and how, because of that, the school had gotten new administration and a stricter zero-tolerance policy. They needed to know about this.
Cass placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, grounding him, keeping him present. He carefully placed his hand atop hers, taking one last calming breath before giving her a small nod.
“I need to go tell Tom and Sabine about what’s happening.”
Cass gave a serious nod and once Tim released her hand they made the quick walk to the bakery.
To say Sabine was upset would be the understatement of the century, she was enraged.
“I knew it! I knew that it wouldn’t be enough. We are either transferring to homeschool or to a new school completely. Kagami said that the school she attends gives out scholarships, I just know Marientte would be able to get one with her designs. She is never going back to that Hell Hole ever again!”
Sabine yelled as she paced anxiously around the apartment flat. She made a quick turn and looked Tim directly in the eyes, her face softening as she did so when Tim flinched back.
“Sorry dear. Thank you for saving Marinette. Please make sure that she’ll be okay for us.”
Tim nodded.
“Of course. You’ve all helped me so much, and I’d do anything for her.”
Sabine pulled him into a tight hug that he quickly returned.
“I’m so proud of you Tim. You truly are one of the greatest souls to be on this Earth.”
Tim could feel his eyes water, but he quickly pushed them back feeling Cass’s gaze on the two of them. He could feel the soft smile she was sending the both of them. Sabine pulled away a few moments later only to leave a gentle kiss to his temple.
“Tell Marinette that she can stay with your friends as long as she would like. It will take some time for me to complete the transfer process, but it will happen.”
Tim nodded, his eyes showing a determined fierceness.
“Of course.”
Tim felt his phone buzz. Kon was back.
“Be safe. I love you Tim, and please tell Marinette that I love her too.”
Tim nodded shyly, still unused to the open shows of affection.
“I will.”
A pause.
“I love you too.”
It wasn’t the first time he had told them that, but the words still felt foreign on his tongue. Sabine softened a little more, placing one last kiss on his temple before she stood up and left. And with that, Cass and Tim left the small apartment to meet Kon who was waiting for them right outside.
“How is she?”
Tim immediately asked. Kon stared at Tim in shock, his heartbeat was through the roof.
“She was very distraught, but Cassie is taking care of her right now.”
Tim let out a sigh of relief.
“That’s good, Cassie should be able to help her. Alright, I need you to take us.”
Kon raised a brow, he had so many questions, but from the panicked look on his friend’s (practically brother’s) face, he knew that he wasn’t going to get them until this was resolved. He bent down slightly, letting Tim climb onto his back before he scooped Cass up and they flew to Titans Tower.
________
Marinette paced around the room like a caged animal. There was so much that could go wrong, and she was stuck here unable to do anything. Cassie and Bart watched her with concerned eyes. Kon had only given them the briefest rundown of everything, saying that this was “a friend of Tim” and that he had asked for him to bring her here.
“She doesn't seem very crash.”
Bart stage whispered as he snacked on a bag of potato chips. Cassie rolled her eyes at her friend,
“No, she doesn’t.”
Marinette wasn’t paying attention to their words though, she wasn’t even aware that they were talking. All she could do was listen to the thoughts in her mind telling her that something bad would happen and it would be all her fault. That because she was gone she would not be able to help or save her people if there was an attack which would make her the worst and most useless hero in the world! Then she would lose her Miraculous, Chat would demand that she pass on the guardianship because of how irresponsible she was, Tim would abandon her when he realized how useless of a sister she was and-
Warm arms wrapped around her causing her racing mind to pause.
“I need you to breathe Mars, I know you’re scared, but everything is going to be okay.”
Marinette sucked in a deep breath, she wasn’t even aware of how shallow they had been, but now that she thought about it she had been seeing small black dots in the corner of her vision.
“That’s it, you’re doing so good now. I’d never leave you Marinette, you and the others, you’re the last bit of family I have left. Even if you weren't, you're still my sister, and that means everything to me.”
Tears welled up in her eyes, but she needed to fight them back, she couldn’t have strong emotions, those emotions would attract,
“It’s okay to cry now. You’re not in Paris, if you need to cry I’m right here.”
She heard a door slide closed behind her, they were moving. When had they even started moving? Her body was gently moved down and she could feel herself sitting on her brother’s lap, her head resting against his chest letting her hear the steady beating of his heart.
Thump thump,
Thump thump,
Thump thump.
It was a steady rhythm, soothing in more ways than one. Gentle fingers brushed through her hair and the dam broke as tears fell down her cheeks and sobs wracked her body. It wasn’t fair. She had done everything right, she was kind, patient, tried her best not to cause a scene, she forgave others, she helped them even when they didn’t like her, she had done everything right! So why did they all hate her then? What had she done, what was so bad about her, what did she do to make others hate her so much?!
“You didn’t do anything. It’s all on them, you are so good Marinette, far too good. They don’t deserve you, I don’t deserve you. But we’re going to get through this, we’re going to do it together. I’m not going to leave you to suffer on your own, I’ll stand by you, I’ll be your shoulder as long as you need me.”
Marinette clutched onto her brother, letting her hands fist around shirt. Marinette didn’t know how long they were there, how long she spent ruining his shirt with her tears and snot, it could have been a few hours, minutes, even a day. Despite that fact, Tim never once left her, always either rubbing her back, running fingers through her hair, humming, whispering comforting words, and just being the comforting presence that she needed. It made her heart warm and helped to silence the sobs and slow the tears. Tim loved her, he was here for. She had Adrien, Chloe, Kagami, Luka, and her parents too. She wasn’t alone. Marinette slowly lifted her gaze to stare at her brother where he gave her the softest most loving smile she’d ever seen on him.
“You feelinging any better?”
He asked. Marinette nodded, wiping the tears away with the back of her hand. Tim leaned backwards and grabbed a box of tissues from some corner of the room they were in.
“Thank you.”
She whispered hoarsely, using the tissues to wipe her eyes and a few more to wipe her nose. Now that she was thinking a little clearer she began to look around the room. A mess would be an understatement, but a pigsty would be an overstatement as well. She could tell it was a form of organized chaos, papers scattered across the floor, boards covering each of the walls with red strings wrapped around them, pens were scattered everywhere on the desk as well as stacks of manila folders filled to bursting with different papers, and when she looked up there was another board up there, this one was empty though, which was strange. It kind of looked like her room, except it was mostly paper rather than bolts and scraps of fabric.
“Is this your room?”
She asked, sniffling slightly. Tim blushed a little in embarrassment as he too looked around his room.
“Yea. It probably looked a lot worse before. I have no doubt that one of them was nice enough to clear out all of the trash and coffee mugs. I’ll be doing the dishes for a month.”
He replied, grumbling the last sentence. Marinette let out a small hum, leaning into the warmth that was her brother. So who are your friends? Tim smiled at that before he let out a long sigh.
“The one that took us here was Kon, he’s the one that we saved from that lab I told you about. The blonde is Cassandra Sandsmark , though we call her Cassie. She’s an Amazionian fighter, Wonder Woman’s sidekick, I think you too would get along really well. Probably too well.”
He mumbled. Clearing his throat he continued,
“The last one, the one who’s going to absolutely talk your ear off, is Bart. He’s a speedster from an apocalyptic future that is living here. So if he says something you don’t know or understand, there’s a high chance we don’t know either.”
Marinette giggled at that, causing time to smile as well.
“Your-er, Mom,”
She snickered again causing him to roll his eyes.
“Mom told me to let you know that she is going to try to transfer you to Kagami’s school. She’s probably already called her by now to ask her about scholarships and admissions. I’ll help of course, you deserve the best.”
Marinette sniffled again at that. She would be leaving her old school then. It wasn’t technically a bad thing, but it was still a foreign concept in her mind. That she would be able to leave and escape the cruelty there. She still had two years of school left and she had a feeling that they would be well spent at Kagami’s school, even if she did have to wear a uniform. She had once asked Tim why he wasn’t in school, she had learned that he had actually skipped three grades and instead of graduating, like he should have, got an online GED. He said that it didn’t matter to him since he “was running Bruce’s company before he even graduated”. Sabine and Marinette had not been thrilled to hear that.
“Can I meet your friends?”
Tim smiled at that, he knew she was just trying to change the subject but he would let it go. She deserved a break anyways.
“Yea, I can also get you some water since they’ll probably be in or near the kitchen anyways.”
With that marinette slowly stood up, Tim followed after her though he stretched his legs first before he opened his door and began his tour of his home-away-from-home.
__________
Tim watched from the sidelines with a smile as he watched his friends/family talk with Marinette. He had no doubt that they would all get along, but it was still a relief and a weight off his shoulders to truly see it happening. He watched Kon whisper something in her ear, Marinette glanced at him for a second and Tim felt nervous. The next thing he knew Marinette burst out laughing and Tim was blushing despite the fact that he had no idea what was said. He glanced over at Kon to see if he could get a hint of whatever story he was telling but only got a sly smirk and sideways glances from a chuckling Cassie. He didn’t know if he wanted to know what story they told her. They had so many stories, most of which he didn’t even remember due to his sleep deprived state that it was frankly concerning. For him at least, they seem to enjoy holding these stories over his head whenever they need something.
Slowly, Tim approached the group, his family, and hesitantly asked,
“What exactly did I miss?”
Kon shook his head and placed a finger to his lips, smug smirk still firmly in place. Marinette’s eyes glittered with mirth as she followed suit and shook her head.
“Sorry Tim-Tam, can’t say.”
“And why not?”
He asked, crossing his arms and lifting a brow to look at all of his team members. Bart zipped right next to him, causing a small breeze in the room before rushing out,
“It’s a secret story. Maybe one day you’ll be able to find a way to unlock it in one of your side quests.”
Cassie snickered as Tim pouted. He honestly hadn’t played one of his open world adventure games in a while. He mostly played any version of UMS with Marinette and her their family. Tim sighed, dropping his hands to his side casually enough as Bart placed an arm around his shoulders. He could tell that there was some sort of trap here, they were holding out on something but he couldn’t tell what yet. The kitchen was clean (that was a first); Kon, Cass, and Cassie were all gathered near Mari; and there was nothing that could be considered suspicious on the counters. There was just a bag of flour, one on his side of the counter and one in hers.
…….
Oh no. Tim could tell that Marinette knew that he figured out what she planned to do. So with almost inhuman speed she lord the bag and threw a handful of it at Tim. He quickly closed his eyes as the dusted wheat hit him square in the face. Quickly reaching for his own bag he began to throw flour at her, only missing and hitting Cassie instead. The fight went on for a while, everyone getting involved until they were all white as ghosts. Marinette and everyone else was laughing, he knew that this was her idea. Probably revenge for the last time he initiated this same kind of fight. It was worth it though. She was happy, she wasn’t worried about a thing, and hopefully she can accept his friends. Let them be a part of their small found family. Tim never liked standing on the sidelines before. But just watching her, seeing her happy like this even if it wasn’t fully him that made her smile like that. Maybe he could make an exception for his dislike, but only if he could see her like this more often.

Fellow Traveler - Part 3
AO3
Tim can't say he's surprised to find people in his apartment. Just because he left his old relationships behind, it doesn't mean he didn't make a few acquaintances in university, and they ended up gathering at his place a few times.
Marinette also has friends of her own and, while most of them live in Paris, at least one of them lives in London – Adrien, who's “pretty much an adoptive brother”, according to her, ever since he moved in with her family after his father’s arrest – and he's visited too.
Tim is, however, surprised to find three people who have nothing to do with his university or his girlfriend in his apartment. It takes him a second to recognize the people occupying the navy blue couches near the entrance.
"Dude", Bart says, somehow eating an entire croissant while being sprawled sideways on one of the armchairs. "Your girlfriend's great."
"You're just saying that because she's feeding you", Tim easily replies, as he deposits his camera bag on the floor.
Bart shrugs, and Cassie and Kon laugh at him from their spots on the room's bigger couch, but they're also taking part in inhaling the pastries distributed on the coffee table. Tim doesn't really mind; lord knows Marinette's stress baking gets out of control when her anxiety is acting up, and finals season isn’t doing them any favors.
Tim meets her eyes when she comes out of the kitchen with a teapot and four cups, but Marinette just smiles innocently, as if she hadn't spent the night slamming pots and pans on the counter to make macarons. Nope. Wasn't her.
"Could've introduced me to your wonderful friends earlier, Timmy", she says, and smiles tightly at him.
"Well, I didn't know they were coming over", he replies, aiming the unspoken question at his old teammates.
Kon coughs. It sounds ridiculous, because he's a crap actor, but no one calls him out on it.
"Well, you see. We assumed you were still living alone, so we kinda… let ourselves in?"
"Really?"
Cassie has the decency to look a bit ashamed when he turns to her.
"In our defense, it looked like no one was home. It was really quiet."
Tim imagines it was, after Marinette finally crashed from her late night baking marathon and he left early to go to class. But one of the present people can literally hear people's heartbeats an entire continent away, so they can't really use that excuse.
"Conner got hit with a frying pan. It was great", Bart helpfully adds to the conversation.
Marinette grimaces as she hands Cassie a cup of tea.
"Sorry for that, again”, she tells Kon.
"No worries. Didn’t hurt anyway", he replies.
She looks at him like he missed the point entirely, but doesn't say anything other than "So, does anyone want éclairs?"
---
Tim has been staring at Marinette while she’s embroidering a garment for 32 minutes. Cassie, Kon and Bart left a few hours prior, after explaining that they only decided to stop by because they were on a mission in Belgium.
Tim had to bite his tongue to keep himself from asking what kind of mission, against what or who, if they knew enough, if they were safe, if they needed help. He can’t take that road again. It’s a slippery slope from giving Young Justice some intel to putting the mask back on and he's only just starting to find his footing in this new beginning.
After another 14 minutes, Tim concludes Mari isn’t about to start the conversation, so he does.
"Aren't you going to ask?"
She looks up momentarily, but doesn't stop moving the needle and the thread.
"No, not really."
"Not even about how they got in?"
"I know how they got in.”
“Not even about the-”
“Tim.”
She puts the garment down, fixes her sharp blue eyes on him and shuts down whatever questions he was about to ask her next.
“I know you have secrets. You know I have secrets. We’ve been through this. Most people in your position would demand to know what I’m hiding, and you’re smart enough and skilled enough that you could figure it out without even having to ask me, but you didn’t, and I appreciate it.”
She pauses to think about her next words for a moment, which gives him enough time to wonder just how much Marinette has noted about him. He never once shared his investigative abilities with her, so the fact that she knows about them shows quite the observation skills.
“I’m trying to return the trust you put in me”, Marinette continues reluctantly, but she doesn’t avert his eyes. “I won’t ask why you’re friends with superheroes or how you met them, because, honestly, it’s none of my business, just like what you told me of your family.”
And that’s another thing, isn’t it? After Tim told her about his siblings, his parents, his… mentor, Marinette took whatever information he gave her and didn’t ask for more. It was almost unfair, considering Tim himself got to meet her parents, stay at their house, sit at their table, and eat their food.
“Okay”, Tim says. “But I think it is your business, this time. They broke into your house, you know?”
She smiles at him, as if she’s just amused by the fact instead of scandalized by it.
“Fair enough. But you don’t have to tell me anything you feel uncomfortable sharing.”
Tim measures his next words carefully. What Marinette said about his ability to figure her out on his own also applies to her. Marinette is smart, and telling her about Robin would be more than enough for her to figure out Batman and everyone else. He should choose what to tell her, if only to keep the others’ identities safe. Then again, the choice was taken out of his hands when his friends used their superpowers to break in.
He takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly, then tells her about how he met Kon, Bart and Cassie, and how Young Justice came to be. Marinette doesn’t interrupt, even though she looks like she wants to. By the time he’s done talking, she has a pretty clear picture of the stuff Young Justice got up to back in the day.
Marinette hums. She still has her embroidery on her lap, but hasn’t been working on it for a while. Tim raises his eyebrows to indicate she’s gonna have to give him a better response than that. She gives him a small smile in return.
“You know, I always wondered how Robin’s grapple gun worked. It had to be tricky to figure out where it was safe to latch on, since the line was limited”, she says. Tim doesn’t understand what she’s getting at until she adds: “My line was infinite, so I wouldn’t know how to do that. I guess that’s why people were so freaked out when I first jumped off the Eiffel Tower. They thought I wouldn’t reach the nearest building.”
What follows is not one of the most absurd stories he’s ever heard. No, he’s seen crazier things than a 13-year-old being given the power of the gods to fight evil while dressed in red and polka-dots. That doesn’t mean it isn’t strange for him to hear it.
This is Marinette: the girl he met in the middle of nowhere, Tibet; who convinced him to move to London with a single word; who texted him for months and months until they saw each other again; who took him to Paris for Christmas and watched fireworks with him on the freezing balcony of a hotel; who treated his secrets the way she treated her own.
This is also Ladybug: the girl who put on a mask when she was too young to know what it meant; the girl who fought against an enemy who couldn’t be defeated with fists; the girl who made herself a leader when her city needed one; the girl who vanished when the job was done.
It’s not that he hasn’t heard of her. The Parisian superheroes showed up on the Justice League’s radar as soon as they made their first appearance. If Tim had trained with Shiva for a month longer, he would’ve seen them in person.
The Justice League attempted to go to the city a few times to see the situation for themselves, but there seemed to be an insurmountable magical barrier around the place, keeping out anyone seeking to interfere. After a while, the heroes simply accepted that the locals seemed to have things under control – as much as things could be when a super-powered terrorist was involved – and that they had more important problems to take care of.
By the time Tim went back to the city of lights as Red Robin, Le Papillon had been dealt with, and the superheroes who used to fight him had been gone for a year.
“Well, today’s been full of revelations”, Tim says, after a few minutes in silence.
Marinette just laughs.
---
They don't go back to the capes and masks subject, but after surviving the last of their classes and finding themselves free of classes for two months, Marinette comes up with a new idea.
“See, since you said you have no plans for the summer, I thought we could travel a bit. You know, enjoy a nice vacation somewhere warm, see some different places…”
“Mari, did you book a vacation to Spain without telling me?”
She looks at Tim seriously, a little offended.
“No”, she says. “I’m not that cliché. It’s Greece. And I assure you it has nothing to do with my good friend Alix being involved with some research that’s going on there. Definitely not.”
Tim can’t help it, he laughs. Then he sees Marinette’s fake annoyance and laughs some more. Finally, she raises a single eyebrow and asks:
“So, what do you think?”
“Sure, let’s go to Greece.”

The Demon and the Guardian
The Demon and the Guardian
Ra’s Al Ghul glared at the hidden box in the corner, he could tell just from sight that it was empty, meaning either all of the Miraculouses were in use or, more likely, the Guardian knew he was here.
“Doesn’t anyone in your family know to visit during the day?” Asked Marinette, as she entered the room.
Ra’s turned his glare onto the Guardian, as she frowned at him. Marinette took a step to the side, dodging Talia’s lunge.
“I see and hear everything that happens in this house, did you seriously hope to ambush me in my own home?!” Demanded Marinette, before snapping her fingers.
Talia gasped as she found herself in a plush armchair, while Ra’s kept glaring.
“I don’t see why two Guardians can’t have a civilized conversation without having to rely on violence.” Said Marinette, leaning back in her chair.
“I’m surprised you even recognised me as a Guardian, Mrs. Agreste.” Said Ra’s, his glare only deepening.
“Honesty, are all of you exactly like Su-Han?” Asked Marinette, her eyebrows raised, and tone exasperated.
“No, I just don’t like interlopers.” Said Ra’s, making Marinette grimace.
“I can see where Damien gets his attitude.” Said Marinette, leaning forwards and opening a book, “I know about you from the Temple’s archives, Ra’s Al Ghul, taken from his family around the same time and Wang Fu, believed that the Miraculous should be used to control the world, departed the order when you realised you weren’t going to get anywhere, founded the League of Assassins and then capitalised on the vacuum of power when the Temple fell, I assume that the Order’s been giving you some trouble?”
Ra’s glared at her, as Marinette smirked and closed the Tome.
“I’m going to give you the same answer as I gave the Justice League and all the other heroes and villians kicking around the globe,” Said Marinette, her face impassive, “Paris, is my turf. You stay out of it and I don’t invade your turf.”
“I was under the impression that ‘Hawkmoth’ had been neutralised.” Said Ra’s, making Marinette scowl.
“The Order’s informed me that the Butterfly has been stolen.” Said Marinette, frowning, “They don’t know who it was, but it was someone who knew the layout and general security of the Temple.”
Ra’s grunted, already seeing how little the order had changed, “And, yet you keep the miracle box in this room.”
Marinette snorted, “Don’t be ridiculous, Ra’s, that is a fake, a decoy to prevent anyone from looking any further.”
Ra’s didn’t react, only tilting his head when there was a loud thump.
“Expecting guests?” Asked Ra’s, as there was another thump.
“No.” Said Marinette, opening the door.
There was a man with a foot long beard with blood running from his eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Marinette flicked the man on the nose, and he vanished in a puff of orange smoke.
“The black cat miraculous is to be given to Damien.” Said Talia, getting a growl from Marinette, “It’s current wielder is unworthy-”
Talia gasped for air as she felt a lump form in her air ways.
“Let’s get something clear,” Snarled Marinette, thunder rolling, “you do not command me in who, or what, receives a Miraculous, especially since I’ve given all the Kwami permission to kill anyone who’s stolen or is using a Miraculous for their own ends, and I assure you, Damien Wayne will never wield a Miraculous as long as I still draw breath.”
Ra’s and Talia found themselves back in the head quarters of the League of Assassins.
“You stupid girl.” Said Ra’s, stalking away from his daughter.
TDaTG
Damien winced as Marinette grabbed Bart and threw him across the room.
“How do you do that?!” Demanded Bart, rushing back over to her.
Marinette smirked, before pulling her sleeve up, revealing the snake miraculous, “Luka’s having an operation today, and we’ve been bonded to our Miraculouses to the extent where we can use our powers outside of the suit.”
“Recognised; Batman: 02.”
Marinette folded her arms and looked at Batman, not reacting when he glared at her.
“Ooh, the famous ‘Bat Glare’,” Snarked Marinette, smirking, “What’s happened, the Batmobile lost a wheel and the Joker got away?”
“Talia Al Ghul sent me a letter.” Said Batman, holding the envelope up, “Something about you threatening her family?”
Marinette snorted, “No, what I did was illiterate that she didn’t decide who got what miraculous.”
“Meaning?” Asked Batman, his tone flat.
“Her son isn’t going to wield as Miraculous as long as I live.” Said Marinette, shrugging, “He doesn’t have a good enough control over his emotions.”
“Neither did you.” Said Batman, everyone tensing.
“All the more reason to not give him one,” Said Marinette, glaring, “When Hawkmoth first reared his head, I sent out requests for help to the Justice League. And you all laughed about it, it wasn’t until Hawkmoth went to New York did you deign to even investigate the claims and then what happened?”
“The Justice League and all foreign heroes and villains were denied access.” Said Wonder Girl, as Marinette nodded.
“But that didn’t stop the various assassins that Ra’s sent after my team, my family,” Growled Marinette, the room slowly growing colder, “if that child is anything like his mother or her father, I wouldn’t hesitate in relieving his shoulders of his head, just as I did to all the other assassins that thought they could take the gems.”
Batman was silent, as Marinette exhaled sharply through her nose. Marinette rolled her eyes and flicked her hand, opening a portal back to Paris, “If you don’t mind, I’ll be taking my leave.”
Marinette stepped through the portal, before it closed.
TDaTG
Marinette scowled and rubbed her eyes. She frowned, she knew Bruce was concerned about her safety, and she knew there were similarities between her and Damien, the only difference was that she wasn’t raised to be a weapon. Marinette heard a light ringing sound, she sighed heavily and hung her head.
“Let me guess, Cheshire?” Said Marinette, looking at the woman’s mask, “How many times do I have to send you to the rainforests before you stop turning up here?”
“I need the money.” Said Cheshire, as Marinette shook her head.
Cheshire jumped at her, Marinette opened a portal to Cheshire’s living room and closed it after the Assassin had gone through.
“This is getting beyond a joke.” Muttered Marinette, rubbing her face.
“Cheshire’s here.” Said Adrien, looking up at Marinette, as Emma played on the rocking horse.
“She was, she’s home now.” Said Marinette, going to sit down, only to gag and slap a hand over her mouth.
Adrien sighed and passed her a bucket, allowing Marinette to throw up.
“Does the baby have to be so disgusting?” Asked Emma, stopping the rocking horse and looking up at her parents, “I don’t like it when Maman feels yucky.”
“Emma, all babies make their mother throw up, it’s what makes us know they’re there.” Said Adrien, as Marinette shook her head.
“Really?” Asked Emma, as Adrien froze under his wife’s glare.
“Well, it’s one of the things that makes un know they’re there,” Corrected Adrien, quickly, “there’s ultrasounds, cravings, mood swings, the odd fainting spell or two and the way Maman’s belly swells up.”
“So, Maman’s going to get fat?” Questioned Emma, as Marinette buried her face in her hand.
“No, she’s growing a baby.” Said Adrien, sweating slightly.
“The embryo starts out at the size of a pea and, over the course of roughly 40-weeks, grows to the be size of a watermelon, once it starts to get too big, her water will break and she’ll go into labour and over a period of several hours, the baby will be born.” Said Damien, making everyone jump.
“How’d you get in?” Asked Adrien, as Damien had the decency to look ashamed.
“I picked the lock.” Said Damien, as Marinette threw up again.
“I really hope there’s a reason for your visit.” Said Marinette, as she reached for a bottle of water.
Damien shifted uncomfortably.
“Damien, if you’re here to demand a miraculous-”
“Can you help me control my emotions?” Interrupted Damien, “I heard father say you had trouble with your emotions when you were my age.”
Marinette sighed, before standing up, “I can direct you on certain courses of action, but emotional control is only something you can learn from yourself.”
Damien looked down.
“But” Damien looked up at Marinette’s voice, “I will help you wherever I can.”

Early start to the day for me, so you'll get two updates today
@laurcad123
“What does the island hold, Diana?” The girl looks out the window of the jet her honorary aunt had.
“It holds the most splendid fighters and the past Ladybug that you are going to meet, my mother, Hippolyta.”
Once they landed, they were crowded by women. “Welcome home, Princess. Who have you brought with you?”
“This is Marinette. She is the new ladybug holder, so I brought her to meet and train with my mother.” Diana looked over the crowd. “I see Cassie is here as well. Sparring with someone her age could probably do her good.”
They walk up to the palace, and stroll into the throne room. “Hello, daughter of mine.” A woman sits on a throne, sharpening an axe. “You are back sooner than I expected. What business do you have?”
“I thought you would enjoy teaching the new ladybug holder.” The woman looks up, her attention suddenly pinned on the young girl partially hiding behind Diana.
“I’m guessing this is the girl? What is your name, young one?”
“My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I am 14. In addition to being the holder of the Ladybug miraculous, I am also being trained by the current guardian to be the Grand Guardian of the Miraculous when he passes.” She glances down at her bag, then smiles at the woman. “Tikki is very excited to see you again.”
The woman's face softens. “As much as I would like to converse with an old friend, I have to ask: how are you a holder and the Grand Guardian? And at your age?”
“He..” The girl hesitates. “He doesn’t have many options besides me. The rest of the Order has died, and my partner has already started slacking on his duties after a few months. I’m coming here since I need improved skills to take down akumas on my own.”
The woman nods solemnly. “In that case, we will train you as best we can, and you can spar with Cassie.” The motions the blonde over. “This is Cassie, current Wondergirl, demigod daughter of Zeus. Cassie, this is Marinette, holder of the Ladybug miraculous and future Grand Guardian.”
So began the months of training, alternating between being taught by the older women and practicing with Cassie. Her only breaks would be using the Horse Miraculous to go back to Paris to take care of Hawkmoth’s newest creation. Hippolyta taught her how to harness Tikki’s power directly without having to call for her Lucky Charm. Diana had also offered to take her to the Watchtower to observe other heroes. She won't take her up on taht offer just yet, but it is nice to have the option.

Ok but like AU that when Marinette was younger, the Teen Titans were just established and she was - still is, actually - a fan of Donna.
And since the Teen Titans is like the breeding ground of teen heroes, the Miracle Team does get invitations to work with them, as allies. Mostly they team up for magic-related cases.
The first time Marinette sees Donna, she just squeaks and hides behind her nearest teammate.

Retirement
Read Retirement on AO3
Masterlist
For Maribat March Day 21 - Domestic Bliss
The first time Marinette and Garfield ever discussed retirement was before they even started dating. For superheroes, retirement was just a fact of life. One day, if you make it long enough, you'll put down the suit and you'll never pick it up again. Maybe someone will take your place. Hopefully, no one will need to. But no matter how strong you are, not even if you're Superman in his prime, the simple fact was that someday you would retire.
"What do you think you'll do after you retire?" Marinette mused to Garfield. Out of all the Titans, Marinette spent the most time around Gar, simply because the two of them spent a lot of time in the living room. Marinette liked the ambient noise that his video games provided when she worked on her projects, and Gar liked to have someone to talk to while he played. Most of Marinette's current focus was on the embroidery in her hands, as she stitched vines running down the sleeves of her shirt, but she still took the time to start a conversation with Gar.
"I dunno..." Gar glanced up from the game he was playing. "What'll you do once you give up being Ladybug."
"That's a tough question. I used to think that I wanted to run a big fashion company, like Agreste Fashion, but now I think I want something a little more low-key. In my ideal future, I own a little boutique where I make custom clothing. There would be a fabric store and a café on the same block as me, and I would never have to leave the neighborhood."
"That sounds nice. I think I might try going to college and see where that takes me. I applied to Jump City University right before Christmas, and they accepted me. If I went, I would start classes in the fall.”
Marinette’s head jerked up as she gave Gar her full, undivided attention. “I’m going to JCU next fall!” she exclaimed excitedly. “We might have classes together. What are you planning on majoring in?”
Gar shrugged, “JCU has a veterinary program that I'm interested in. I'd be taking animal behavior, biology, chemistry, and a whole bunch of other science classes.”
“That’s so cool!”
“It’s nothing much. I didn’t expect them to accept me, anyway.”
Gar seemed oddly subdued about the idea of going to college. He was a naturally enthusiastic person, which made it very out of character for him to be so dismissive. It worried Marinette. “No, you deserve praise for your accomplishment. Jump City University is a very selective school.”
“I’m not a genius. I’m just me.”
“You’re smart, Gar, I know you are. Getting accepted to JCU is just one of the many reasons why you are brilliant.”
“Are you gonna name them all for me?” joked Gar.
His question was rhetorical, just a joke, but Marinette wasn't finished convincing Gar that he deserved all the praise in the world. “For starters, you can finish any video game in less than a day. Even the ones where you need logic and strategy, you fly right through them. Secondly, you’re a genius when it comes to animals. And it’s not just because of your superpower. You taught yourself animal behavior so that you could blend in with the animals you’re imitating. Thirdly, you pretend not to be invested in politics, but I’ve seen how you keep yourself informed about environmental policies and activism. You really care about the planet. Fourthly-“
"Alright, Buginette,” laughed Gar, a slight blush on his cheeks. “You’ve proven your point.”
Marinette set her embroidery down on the coffee table and moved to Gar's couch. "Is this game multiplayer?"
"Yep. Do you want to play a few rounds?"
"Hmm... I think I could spare a few minutes to kick your butt."
"Please. I'm going to squash you like the little bug you are."
"You wish!"
----------
The next time Marinette and Gar discussed retirement was well after they started dating. They got together in their Junior year at JCU after spending two years in relationship limbo, with both too nervous to make the first move. They finally confessed their feelings for each other after Dick and Starfire locked them in a closet together until they admitted that they liked each other. They graduated college as a couple, with Gar planning on attending veterinary school and Marinette planning on starting up her fashion business. That summer they spent a lot of time talking about the future.
"I've been thinking of recruiting someone to take over as Ladybug," remarked Marinette as she cuddled up next to Gar on the couch.
"Really? Who do you have your eye on?" asked Gar.
"Wonder Woman recently took on a new protege, Cassie Sandsmark. The Ladybug Miraculous already has some connections to Wonder Woman and her home of Themyscira. Her mother, Queen Hippolyta, was a wielder of the Ladybug Miraculous for quite some time."
"If you gave up the Miraculous would you still fight crime?"
Marinette shook her head. "I think it might be time to give up crimefighting. It's been ten years since I took up the Ladybug Miraculous to fight Hawkmoth, and six years since Hawkmoth was defeated. I wasn't ready to give up that responsibility then, but I think I'm ready now."
"When would you give up the Miraculous?"
"Soon. I talked to Wonder Woman about it last week and she's enthusiastic about the idea. I would need to spend some time getting to know Cassie, just to make sure she's a good fit, and Tikki would need to vet her as well, but I have a good feeling that she'll pass any tests of character we put her through." Marinette turned to face Gar. "I didn't want to make any concrete decisions before I talked to you. I know that we've always fought crime together, but I'm ready to move on with my life. I'm ready to retire."
Gar nodded. "I understand and I fully support your decision. I've been considering leaving the Titans as well. I know I could continue living in the Tower and attend veterinary school at JCU, but last week I got an acceptance letter from UC Davis for their School of Veterinary Medicine."
Marinette's eyes widened. "Gar, that's amazing! I remember looking into UC Davis when you were applying, and their program is nationally ranked."
Gar grinned. "The best in the country. It's too good to pass up."
"You have to go!" exclaimed Marinette. "This is your dream!"
"I think I'll send in my acceptance tomorrow," decided Gar. "Maybe we can go to Davis this weekend and scout out an apartment."
"And fabric stores," chimed in Marinette.
Gar laughed. "Anything for you, Buginette."
----------
The final time Marinette and Gar discussed retirement was years later. Marinette and Gar had gotten married and had moved back to Jump City. Marinette opened her fashion boutique, which had very quickly exploded in popularity. Gar started working for a non-profit veterinary clinic, which provided free veterinary services to lower-income neighborhoods. They had both achieved their dreams, and yet neither seemed content with their lives.
"Maybe we just need a change of scenery," suggested Marinette, leaning her head against Gar as they both sat on the beach watching the sunset. "I'm so tired of the city."
"Maybe," said Gar. "It would be nice to have a house with a backyard, rather than just an apartment."
Marinette sighed. "I know that I always said that I wanted to be the owner of a successful boutique, but this wasn't really what I had in mind. I'm so busy that I feel like I never get to spend any time with you anymore. Every day my inbox is filled with emails asking me to sell my company or expand to more locations. I'm tired of it. My passion is for making clothes, not running a business."
"I know how you feel. Every day I encounter another neglectful pet owner who brings their animal to the clinic for help but refuses to listen to me when I tell them that they need to change the way they treat their animal. It's exhausting."
"We could both just quit our jobs and move into the woods," joked Marinette.
Gar nodded, but he wasn't joking. "I've actually been thinking about that. There are a lot of remote regions with a real need for veterinary practices to provide medical assistance for the farm animals out there. I would feel a lot more useful taking care of animals that don't have anyone else."
Marinette turned to face Gar. "I wouldn't mind moving. I've been sending all of the offers to buy my boutique straight to my email archive, but I'm sure if I looked through them all I could find someone who would be able to take care of the business aspect of Ladybug Designs. I could retire from the business and design on my own time, when the inspiration strikes, instead of forcing myself to churn out design after design."
"You really wouldn't mind?" asked Gar, a hopeful look on his face.
Marinette shook her head. "I was serious about moving out of the city. There's something I've been wanting to tell you for a while, but I've been waiting for the right moment. I think that moment is now. Gar, I'm pregnant."
The deer-in-the-headlights look on Gar's face was comical, to say the least. Marinette giggled, "Well?"
Gar snapped back to reality, transforming into an elephant, trumpeting his joy. He turned back into himself and wrapped his arms around Marinette. "I'm so happy! This is the best news I could have ever heard, Buginette. Now we have to move. I want our kid to have a backyard and a dog and a big driveway where I can teach them how to ride a bike and a pond where they can swim in the summer-"
Marinette cut Gar off with a kiss. "One thing at a time," she giggled.
"I think this will be the best decision we have ever made," declared Gar.
Marinette agreed. "I think that partial retirement will be good for us."
----------
This was bliss. The feeling of grass under Marinette’s bare feet as she walked back to the house from the lake, hand in hand with Gar. The sound of their daughter's laughter as she danced around them, catching fireflies. The taste of homemade apple pie and vanilla ice cream, eaten rebelliously early as Gar proclaimed, "Dessert before dinner!" The sight of the stars up above them, no light pollution to mask the beauty of the heavens. The sound of Gar's voice, whispering, "I love you, Buginette," into Marinette's ear. And as Marinette settled into her husband's arms, she knew for certain that retirement was the best decision she had ever made.

A hogwarts au where the teachers are the members of the Justice League and Bruce Wayne is the Headmaster. Mostly Young Justice ships, with a side of maribat.
I might write this, but if you want to take a shot at it, you’re free to do so!
The faculty meetings are boring and the teachers start a betting pool on the students’ love lives.
It starts with Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon. Literally everyone knows that their romantic feelings towards the others are returned except them. Everyone.
The Herbology Professor, Pamela Isley, produces a chart, and they start placing bets.
The Headmaster refuses to take part. The rest of the teachers are happy participate if it means escaping the torture of Bruce’s lectures.
Enter Conner Kent and Megan Morse. Dinah Lance, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, brings out the chart again, and bets are made.
Bruce still refuses to take part. His loss.
“Stephanie Brown is looking a bit cozy with Tim Drake.”
“Nah, Cassie Sandsmark is definitely pining.”
Tim dates both of them, but decides that they’re better off as friends.
Who’s going to end up with Tim now?
“I bet it’s Bart Allen.”
“But Bart likes Jaime Reyes?”
Once Bart and Jaime get together, the professors are stumped.
And then Diana Prince points out how competitive the French transfer student is with Tim in her Transfiguration class.
Selina Kyle, the librarian, adds that they have bi-weekly study sessions in the library and all the professors agree that the two Ravenclaws are seen everywhere together.
Like, everywhere. They take the same classes, are in the same house, and even though Tim isn’t on the Quidditch team, he shows up to every practice and every game to watch Marinette play.
All of a sudden, everyone ships Timari and Bruce is just Done™.
“Can we please have a normal faculty meeting for once?”
Timari has their first kiss under the enchanted mistletoe Zatanna put up in every single doorway for the holidays.
They weren’t paying attention when she announced it at breakfast, instead quietly debating the ethicality of using house elves as unpaid servants.
So, upon exiting their usual study session, they are trapped under the doorway until they kiss.
Zatanna enchanted it so a cheek kiss would work too, but they don’t know that.
So Marinette just pecks him on the lips and makes a dash for it.
And Tim stands there for the next five minutes, mouth slightly ajar and face bright red.
Selina pretends to read a book (it’s upside down) while grinning from behind her desk. She just won a lot of money from her colleagues.
BONUS:
Zatanna comes into the meeting one day squealing about how Bruce’s youngest son helped Clark’s youngest learn Wingardium Leviosa in her Charms class.
“Jon gave Damian the brightest smile! But get this- Damian smiled back! He actually smiled back!”
Clark puts down fifty Galleons for DamiJon.
Bruce slams down two hundred, to everyone’s surprise.
“I don’t know, Bruce, the Mizoguchi girl totally has the hots for Dami-”
“Dami. Jon.”
Hal Jordan is terrified into silence.

Maribat March 2021 - Half time
In my AO3 account I am also updating the 'A playboy billionaire, an ambassador and the secret love-child' title, and sometimes I add(ed) commentary why I write something the way I do.
Masterlist
From the last fifty days here is all the plus note:
First day
In Red Robin (2009-2011) comics Vicki Vale was a little bit too noisy for her own good, that's why I used her personal annoyance against Bruce Wayne in this story.
Third day
Vanessa Rios was an assistant district attorney in Gotham in the Robin (1993-2009) run. Here I am using her as the Wayne's legal team head. Tamara Fox, Lucius Fox's daughter, is friends with Tim Drake in Red Robin (2009-2011) comics and here too. Also she is an intern with the HR department who knows about the BatFam alteregos.
Fifth day
In the comics, Alfred always followed Bruce to his 'trips' (in 'Batman and Son' to London, 'Batman & Robin Annual' to an scavenger hunt, in 'Batman Inc.' to every country where they found representatives...) However because of Damian's unpredictable behaviour he stayed at the manor with the children in this story.
Sixth day
So Young Justice thing is a little complicated to me if I dare to say something about it. There was the 'Young Justice: The Secret' and its sequels. Then there were 'The New52' and 'DC Rebirth' era, plus the animation show. And they all are kind of okay..ish, furthermore I wanted to keep the principles like the main members (Tim Drake, Connor Kent, Bart Allen and Cassie Sandsmark), however I never liked their too childish behavior in some of the works (and the mixing with 'The Titans). So in this story, here, they are more adult..ish, but more relaxed and cheerful than 'The Titans' ever was (like in comics, not in the shows).
Eighth day
In the 'Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir' show they showed Lila as a manipulator without any remorse, which got me to think she has antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). I am not a doctor but I had some basic lesson in psychology, and I have a natural curiosity about things so I always research everything. With diagnosed ASPD the person has to be older then 18, however I read its symptoms can show up in childhood, and it can lead to an earlier diagnosis like 14-15 years old early.
In the case of Lila she deceives people and uses them (✓). Don't makes long term plans or thinking through about her behavior (✓), however has a set on some goal she wants to achieve (✓). She has a sense of superiority above of her classmates and adults in her environment (✓), nevertheless does't have any remorse or guilt to mistreat them (✓). Uses charisma and her fake charming persona to get something or someone (✓), however didn't value them more than tools or prizes (✓).
I didn't see any real aggressive behavior from Lila beside akumatizations (✓), but on its own I think it's enough evidence, that she has this disorder (and not the many that she claimed). In normal aggressive way Lila didn't show herself (like physical violence, loud angry outbursts, big fits in front of everyone) yet, rather she uses Akumatization to hide that kind of behavior (when Adrien tried to stand up she became willingly Chameleon, or the Heroe's Day, or Oni-Chan). So her Akumatised forms and helping to Hawkmoth are the evidences that she has aggressive behavior, however they are not the classic forms (but we also can remember the threatening in the bathroom, but I think that was more intimidation and showing her superiority then pure aggressiveness).
And I wanted that recreate and strengthen this 'fact' a little bit so it would be more obvious than in the show.
Ninth day
In the comics there are so many take on Bruce Wayne it's kind of hard to count it. We could list the Batman persona, when he kind of let his children do what they want within his no-kill-rule (like living alone at fourteen with bunch of other teenager - 'Teen Titans' or 'Young Justice' or as it looks like to go rough - Robin, Red Hood). And there is the obvious martyr-parent take, when he has to know everything about his children, but he is always silent about the important things ('Death of the family' - 'Batman and Robin: Born to kill' - 'The Hunt for Robin'). And one of my favorites the worried-tired father take, when he is kind of showing his emotions and trying to love his kids ('Super Sons' - 'Robin Rises' - 'Prelude to the Wedding: Nightwing vs. Hush' ...).
And I decided to use the last with a more active take from the first (like he lets everyone do their thing but he is monitoring them within reasons). In the comics there are many accusations about being someones father (with Julie Madison or Mariah Shelley), and here in my take he is trying to be responsible (for the sake of his children, mainly for Damian and Jason) and checks every claim out personally (so they also can do DNS test).
Tenth day
Alya Césaire is a complicated someone in the show. At first she is portrayed as a fierce helper for the protagonist, Marinette. She is stubborn and reckless, but royal to her best friends.
Then came Lila and the makers sharpened her stubborn tunnel vision. This I saw it first at the 'Lady Wifi' episode, when she clearly didn't remember about the first day, when Ladybug saved Chloé (or ignored it). After that she always fixated on 'Adrienette' (or everything else if it's interesting - Dark Cupid) when the girl, herself had other things to do (Princess Fragrance, Puppeteer 2, Reflektdoll 2, Timebreaker). So it was not that big surprise when her tunnel vision turned to Lila, and she (and everybody in her class) forgot about that they all met Jagged Stone and with his crocodile already.
Yeah, it's all true, however unlike Lila, Alya didn't show any other big social flaw. And she is 14 years old and middle child, which is kind of important in someone personality. She has to be a mature figure and a little child at the same time in her sibling's eyes. She has to compete attention in their parents eyes and be smart about it.
Moreover if we look at the Collège Françoise Dupont's students, they are all spoiled, not just Chloé or Lila or Adrien. Yes, they are not that bad like the three, but they are all sheltered to a certain degree. Their family don't have financial problems (famous chef, designers, mayor, famous bakery, curator in the most famous museum, police officer, famous pantomime, ...), plus they are all in a prestigious school where they can't meet people with everyday problems (and rich spoiled kid is not an everyday occurrence in my country). And beside some vision problems (Max, Sabrina) they are all healthy and the first time to meet a disability is when Lila arrived. So it's natural if they don't really know how to interact right with her (putting aside that whole lie thing).
And I think they, especial Alya, need first a little life experience, before they could be called responsible about their acts. And here I am trying to write it this kind of way, where they are all flawed, but they can learn from it.
Human being can be shallow and not perfect. These children only heard one perspective from Lila, and another from Marinette. In the show the makers not exactly specified about how well the classmates know Marinette and how depth Marinette and Alya friendship is, so there is already some trust issue.
Like yeah all of they are going to concerts, cinema, each others, however they didn't show so far any serious conservation between them (maybe the only exception is Adrien-Marinette combo). Until this year when Adrien and Alya got transferred in the class, the classmates don't even help Marinette with Chloé bullying. And one year friendship - how beautiful is it tho - is not that depth and stable, especially with that many secrets they have. And Lila 'charming' personality came into this still fragile relationship at the right time to prove this.
I am not saying that the makers is doing good to simplifies the relationships. Because rather they missed so many ziccers for the sake of promote new hero designs and the overwritten romantic scene, it's physical hurting me. But they are right that we are talking sheltered-traumatized-too naive kids, who sometimes had unearned magic powers (looking at Chloé, Alya, Kim).
And I didn't ever going the length of mentioning the adult characters. It's an other kind of wormhole.
Marinette was the only one who openly disobeyed Lila's wants. She stands up against her lies in the public so she is a real obstacle for Lila. While Adrien is only trying in the background without any witness (I don't say it's bad, because with some case it's better, but not here), and the boy is too valuable to Lila.
Lila already showed in the series she didn't stop with the lies and she is brave enough to ruin someone carrier with them (Marinette - 'Ladybug', Nathalie and Gorilla - 'Oni-Chan', Alya - 'Volpina'). And Adrien watched all of it in the front seat, and he kind of knows that Lila's main target here to discredit and broke Marinette/Ladybug (and Adrien, himself also, but it's his perspective and he is very sheltered and naive about it).
And this story she got another one to ruin. Bruce Wayne, himself. And as her fake charming side melts away in her anger as she is focusing more and more on her targets.
Eleventh day
Speed Force is one of the Seven Forces of the Universe. It grants the power of the speedsters. And some of them merged with it (for example Barry Allen). Speed Force has a direct connection to the time flow and with the Multiverse (or now Omniverse). The biggest event of it is the Flashpoint (2011) which started the New52 era. And Batman doesn't want to mix this kind of force with a really mysterious ancient magic.
Nightrunner's first appearance was in 2011 in Detective Comics Annual #12. Within the Batman Incorporated line Bruce recruited Bilal Asselah, French-Algerian citizen to represent Batman in Paris. Here he is a mentor/background assistant to the Team Miraculous and a representative of Batman Inc.
Fourteenth day
Wang Fu is not the most mature character in the show and I think it says it all. Being an 186 years old is the Great Guardian after he accidentally destroyed the temple, he is kind of shameful and amateur. And if we contrasted him with Batman... yeah. Batman is NOT happy and takes the control from the old master.
Fifteenth day
I know Cyborg, alias Victor Stone is currently shown as a founding member of the Justice League (since 2011), however I am prefer him more in the Titans. And it's not just because of the animation show form 2003, but also in the comics he is more himself with the first Titans then with the -all mighty- Justice League. And I also wanted him to have a little cameo in this story because in the Super Sons (2017-) he was kind of like a babysitter for the boys. And to me it's kind of funny how many times the bats short circuited him (Robin Rises, Super Sons: Parent Trap, ...).
Sixteenth day
Damian Wayne is a complicated character. For ten years he was teached to kill. He only learnt about his mother at eight. He only learnt about his father at ten. Thalia used him for anything from power play to plotting someone death. Bruce loves him, but he is so moronic about his own emotions it's kind of painful to read sometimes. And there is the thing where Damian is never enough, his mother cloned him (Heretic), his father has other wards (mainly Red Robin). Dick Grayson went incognito spying when the boy had finally a healthier relationship (Grayson: The Superspy). His best friend, Jon Kent was suddenly older then him (2018 Superman #16). Alfred was killed in front of him (2016 Batman #77). Yeah, Damian is a jerk, but he has every right to be a jerk in my opinion. And I wanted that recreate here as Lila is a liar and threatening his 'only' position as a blood son. His only weapon to prevent it to have a fit and doing what was teached to him.

Maribat March Day 14: Death
ao3
part 2, part 3
@maribatmarch-2k21
Marinette stands in the same spot Tim had probably been however long ago, and starts talking.
“I'm sorry I didn't come earlier, but I just heard.” She let out a bitter chuckle, “They called me halfway through my first class and said that my grandfather was on the phone and that there was a family emergency. It took me a second to realise they were talking about Alfred, even though we all think of him that way, he would never introduce himself as such. Not unless it meant they wouldn’t let him speak to me otherwise. That probably should have been the first of many indicators that something was wrong. And then I actually spoke to Alfred and I don't really think I registered what he said at first.” She smiled sadly, " how could I? I still don't know if it was that I didn't want to believe him or genuinely didn't think there was a possibility he was speaking the truth. "
She fell silent then, a lone tear slowly making its way down her cheek, “when I walked into the cave, I was expecting Cass, Dick and Tim to be preparing for patrol, not Dick lecturing a little kid in a Robin suit. Were you even planning on telling me I had a little brother or were you waiting for one of the others to tell me first?”
She's crying she realises dimly as tears trace their way down her face.
“Who’s apparently Talia al Ghul’s son. He launched himself at me with his katana, screaming, “there’s an intruder in the cave Grayson,” she makes a crying laughing sound, “under any other circumstances it would have probably been funny, but I just stared at Dick in horror and Dick had to grab Damian back by the cape. Said something to him and he stormed off. I just continued to stare. Dick in the Bat suit, was not something I thought I’d ever see again. He’s gonna break y’know, with you gone. The whole family has fallen apart, Cass left for Hong Kong, handing the mantle of Batgirl to Stephanie, I don’t even know what’s going on with Jay, Alfred’s keeping it together but that’s just Alfred, Babs is probably the most level headed right now and Tim-”
She broke off into a sigh, “well, I’m worried about him. Apparently, I witnessed the after effects of Dick giving the Robin mantle to Damian without telling him. That clearly didn’t go well. I have no idea what he was thinking doing that without talking to Tim beforehand, I get his reasoning, I really do but that was a shitty thing to do. I can’t even begin to imagine how he feels-”
She breaks off again a sob escaping her, “Dick sorta caught me up on the things I missed, and I looked through the cave footage, and I’m not the least shocked about Tim’s reaction. I had to call Cassie Sandsmark and Steph to have some idea of what happened, it’s still very vague but it’s all I know. But, the two of them were clear on one thing, he’s leaving to continue his search. Because Dick didn’t believe him, told him they’d put him in Arkham. Honestly, I’m not even sure how it devolved into this mess.”
She sits down facing the grave and after a considerable pause continues, “I’m staying. Mr. Bug can take care of Paris. Dick’s going to need help. They’ve moved out of the Manor, using the penthouse instead. Probably too many painful memories for Alfred and Dick. And I don’t know about Damian. Dick’s signed himself up for a lot with him. I can’t leave him to take care of both Damian and Gotham alone. You might’ve managed it but you’re not exactly a model of mental health either. Maybe me being here will help with Damian’s mindset of being the Batman’s sole heir since he’s the blood son. Doubt Talia told him about the biological daughter. Afterall he had no idea who I was.”
She curls in on herself, sobbing freely, “It isn’t fair. I know Death isn’t fair not that Life is either but I can’t help but feel angry by the unfairness of it all. We still need you. Every single one of us, even if we might never get the chance to tell it to your face.”
"I still need you," she whispers, her voice breaking.
She stops, perhaps her father’s allergy to processing emotions was genetic, “I read Tim’s research or whatever little he had. I think he’s right. I hope he’s right. However, I doubt that he knows for sure either. But I need him to be right. I need you to be back. I need whatever corpse that has been buried in the ground here to be a fake or a clone or, or something,” her voice getting more desperate as she continues, “You can’t be dead. I need my dad.”
She sits there for a little longer, letting out all the tears. Eventually she stands up, pulling herself together and wiping away her tears. Leaving the cemetery hoping her brother’s right and her father’s lost in time.

it’s a WONDERful day
Maribat March 2020, day 2: Training. Because we do not have enough WW & LB solidarity. Or friendship. Or fucking anything.
Ao3
This is Maribat -- don’t like; don’t read
__________________
“Aaahh, finally done. Never again. Chat, did you get the Peacock Miraculous? I need to get them to the Guardian,” Ladybug said, reaching out her open palm for Chat to give the pin to her. She already had the Butterfly in her other hand, so now as long as she got the Peacock from Chat, it would be great. He did hand it to her, after a moment.
“Do I— Do I have to give my ring away too?” he asked, hesitating. There was uncertainty and sadness in his voice, and it just broke Ladybug’s heart.
“I don’t know. I’m not taking it away from you, if that’s what you’re asking. If you do need to give it away, the Guardian will come to you and take it himself, just like he was the one to give it to you. I certainly hope he doesn’t want them back, I would hate to have to give Tikki back,” she replied. Ladybug put her hand on Chat’s shoulder and rubbed it with her finger. “But whatever happens, remember what we agreed on doing if we or one of us loses their Miraculous.”
Chat simply nodded before he took off, saluting to her and the woman standing behind her. Ladybug watched Chat go, a sad smile lingering on her face. Then she turned around to face the woman clad in red and blue armor, along with golden accents and a golden lasso. The woman smiled at her warmly.
“It’s wonderful to finally meet you, miss Ladybug,” she said and bowed to her. Ladybug was taken aback. She knew this woman was strong — after all, she had helped them defeat Papillon and Mayura, and she kept her emotions in check rather easily when Ladybug had told her how Papillon could and would use emotions against them, but she didn’t really know her. The woman continued speaking. “I am Wonder Woman, the champion of the Amazons, and the daughter of Queen Hippolyta, a previous—”
“Your mother was a Ladybug?”
Ladybug’s eyes were filled with fascination as they widened. Maybe there was a chance she could meet a previous Ladybug after all, if this woman indeed was Hippolyta’s daughter. She’d heard a lot about her from Tikki.
“Yes, yes she was, and when we heard there was a new Ladybug, we thought we would like to meet her. I was sent here to see how you were doing first, since the Ladybug is never brought to the world unless there is a great threat, and it seems I came at a good time. That man was your threat, wasn’t he?”
“Yeah. Papillon’s been a pain for too many months, but I’m pretty sure defeating him would have taken far longer had you not come and helped, so thank you for that!”
“It was no problem, I was happy to be able to help Ladybug. It seems you hadn’t managed to complete your training before being thrown into the war, so I would like to offer you a chance to train with my people. They are one the best warriors there are, so I am certain you would benefit of that,” Wonder Woman said and smiled at Ladybug.
Kwamii, the woman was gorgeous and she was offering her help, their help. There was absolutely no way she could say no.
Except, she was still barely 14 and had not finished school. Also, she was rather certain that they would not be here in Paris, so she would also have to come up with a reason to leave her parents, which was going to be much more difficult.
“I would love to do that, but… I’m not really sure I can? There’s school, my parents… I don’t think I know a way to avoid all that to be able to come,” she admitted, and Wonder Woman’s face hardened a little.
“Parents? School? Are you still in university?”
“No, I’m in middle school still. And I live with my parents — I’m not an adult yet.”
“You’re what? Were you put in the middle of war as a child?” The tone of her voice, while calm, radiated cold fury, but Ladybug got the idea that it wasn’t directed at her and rather at the person who’d chosen her — so Master Fu.
“Yes…?”
“I would certainly like to have a word with whoever your teacher is. They must have known that a child is not to be put to fight adults’ war, not when the evil you’re up against is far older than you are. You did wonderful considering that, though. Good job, I am proud of you.”
Wonder Woman was, for the lack of a better word, seething. She definitely wasn’t happy with Master Fu, but the reassurance she wasn’t angry with Ladybug (no, instead she was proud of her and said she’d done well!) brought a smile on her face. To be complimented by someone who certainly knew how to fight better than she did was an intoxicating feeling.
“Thank you!”
“Regardless, the offer of training stands. If it is a requirement, I live in the United States and know rather many influential people, so I could come up with something that would allow you to come with me. I understand revealing your identity is something you aren’t comfortable with, and shouldn’t be either, but that is likely necessary. If I know what you’re interested in, I could contact a person who could be responsible for you in your parents’ eyes while you trained with my people. Education would not be a problem either, that can and will be provided to you should you ask for it.”
Ladybug considered it. It was a wonderful opportunity and she didn’t want to miss it for the world. Besides, she had a feeling she could trust this woman. She was actually pretty certain that little voice in her ear telling her it was alright to have faith in her was Tikki.
“Alright, in that case, yes! Will you follow me so I can detransform somewhere safer? And if you could wear something more… civil, that would probably make things easier. My civilian self probably shouldn’t be seen near Wonder Woman,” Ladybug laughed nervously. She hoped it wasn’t too much to ask, but regardless she hurried to add, “it’s okay if you’re in a disguise even then, it’s just that I don’t want others to know my identity. My privacy is violated enough as it is.”
“Of course, Ladybug. Lead the way.”
Ladybug led them to a quiet alley where she could let her transformation fall. It was relieving to feel Tikki slip out of her earrings, and her suspicions about it being Tikki whispering in her ear were confirmed when Tikki didn’t complain about revealing herself to someone and instead flew to Wonder Woman and happily greeted her. “Diana! It’s so great to see you again! How long has it already been, at least two millennia, right?”
Wonder Woman — Diana — smiled and offered her hand for Tikki to land on. She did. “Yes, it has certainly been far too long. Is it alright if I take your Soul to Themyscira? It seems she hasn’t completed her training yet, which is unacceptable for a Ladybug.”
“She never did get any training. We didn’t have time before Papillon appeared. But yes, if she wants that, it’s all good with me. After all, I’d love to see your mother again, and all the others as well, but you know. She was my holder at some point too. Also, how did you know?”
“She what? And do you really think I wouldn’t be able to sense who the Soul you created belonged to? Tikki, you underestimate me. I’m no longer a child — she’s clearly the Soul of Creation,” Diana laughed and flicked Tikki’s head gently. It was rather adorable, if you asked Marinette.
Except.
Wait.
The soul of creation?
“It means you’re the true holder of the Ladybug Miraculous, Marinette,” Tikki said, suddenly floating in front of her. “I created your soul — it seems it decided to be born as you in this time and this place. I didn’t know when you were to be born, just that you would, one day.”
Oh. She’d said that out loud.
Diana changed her appearance as well, and then they were ready to go.
It… It didn’t take too long to convince her parents. It worked even better since Diana found out she loved designing clothes because Diana herself owned a fashion company and knew a few people who she could create a collaboration with to give Marinette a chance to try her hand at creating an actual line. The fact Diana was going to be the one responsible also felt better since that meant she wouldn’t even need to lie to her parents, really. Diana would actually let her do it.
The flight to the States to first get to Diana’s boutique and to have one of her acquaintances in on her plan (Marinette was rather surprised how quick Bruce Wayne and Oliver Queen were to create a collaboration with her but Marinette decided she didn’t want to question it. She felt like there was a story behind both she wouldn’t be too happy to know), and then they left to find the Paradise Island, the new Themyscira. Diana advised her to transform into Ladybug because the Island could exist anywhere and anywhen, so being Ladybug when entering would make it much easier upon finding it.
The Amazons welcomed her warmly and gave her a small bow as well. This time Ladybug had been expecting it as Diana had explained that any Ladybug would be held high in their eyes as their Queen had been Ladybug once upon a time. It didn’t make it any less weird, though. It was wonderful to be welcomed so well, though. It made her happy (and maybe a bit teary-eyed but that was another thing.)
While Diana went off to talk with Queen Hippolyta, Tikki and Antiope who had come back just because she’d heard Ladybug was back, Marinette took it as a chance to get to know Artemis of Bana-Mighdall and Donna Troy, as well as one of the Honorary Amazons: Cassie Sandsmark. It was nice to have (relatively) younger company, and she ended up especially liking Cassie who was the closest to her age. They’d all come just to meet the new Ladybug as well, all having at least heard the stories of Hippolyta as an Amazon.
Artemis had taken another look at Marinette when she offhandedly mentioned school and just stared at her before speaking, slowly, as though she couldn’t comprehend it (Marinette doubted it was that — it was more like she was just as scandalised by it as Diana had been earlier), “Gods damn it, why is the new Ladybug a literal child? Considering you aren’t an Amazon, that is far too young to be actually fighting in a war with the strongest Miraculous there is. Please tell me the Cat was an adult so you had someone supervising you, at least.”
“Nope! Just me and Chat, who is of my age, fighting against Papillon and Mayura, both definitely adults.”
“You did get to at least start proper training before you started fighting, though, right?”
“Again, nope. I got my Miraculous maybe twenty minutes before I had to transform for the first time because Papillon had attacked Paris.”
Artemis had buried her head in her hands and groaned something that sounded like “kids aren’t supposed to be fighting adults’ wars, what the hell.” Marinette just shrugged. Then, just as Cassie was about to take her to a tour around the Island, Hippolyta turned to look at them.
“Are you actually telling me you have no training? And that you were thrown in the middle of war with absolutely no training by your teacher?“ Marinette nodded; Hippolyta sighed. “Alright, we’re most certainly going to give you a proper Amazonian training so you will never again be the inferior one in a fight. Any Ladybug deserves that much, especially one with the Soul of Creation. Cassie, take her to the tour because you already managed to promise it to her, but afterwards, we’ll start your training. Artemis, if you can stay for a while to train her as well, that would be wonderful, but if you have to get back to the Outlaws, go ahead.”
Artemis stayed.
And yes, Marinette got her training, from the Amazons, but also a few superheroes both Artemis and Diana were in contact with, namely the Red Hood and Batman, since neither of the two had superpowers and the Amazons thought it would be good she got some training from people who were only human, like her. Superman was roped into occasional training sessions as well. All of the training sessions with Superman, Red Hood and Batman always happened outside of Themyscira, though.
Needless to say, the next time anyone dared to rise against Paris and especially the new Ladybug, it didn’t take long to end it all and return the world to its natural balance.

“Does everyone have everything they need? No one needs to use Mari to use the puppy eyes to get Dick to go to the store?”
Marinette laughed at Tim’s words while the others shook their heads. They had checked they had everything at least thrice already, it wasn’t going to change no matter how many times he wanted them to make sure of it. When Tim still didn’t look convinced, Marinette simply grabbed his wrist and stroked the skin with her thumb to help him calm down, just like he sometimes did for her.

First<>Previous
