❤. 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐋.

aka, prequel. a pre-game canon verse, following the adventures and first-meetings of maria and her friends up until the last time they saw her - when they parted ways for spring break, and she went missing.

❤. 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐓𝐄𝐃.

a girl once doomed to die by the narrative, maria in this verse survives the horrors done unto her by the sawyer - hewitt family -- thanks to the bravery and love of her by her sister and friends. she is, however, haunted by the memories of the traumatic weeks she spent there -- [ depending on interaction as well : held captive by johnny ( lamb's ) at first, and later his mother figure, nancy. ] in this verse, upon the friends surviving the ordeal and returning home to recover, maria is overwhelmed by the attempt to return to a sense of normalcy - between locals and schoolmates bombarding invasive questions of "what actually happened" and the toll on her mental and emotional state, maria makes a hasty, heart-breaking decision to quietly move away without a word to her friends. she now resides in the pacific north west, in the gloomy forests just on the outskirts of a small mountain town, where she lives with two large dogs for protection and deterrence and revolver and shotgun in arms reach. just in case.

❤. 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐄.

an alternate route of WILTED, maria is discovered packing her apartment up. in the ensuing confusion and upset at her seemingly leaving without warning, maria reverts her decision to move away and instead stays in texas, with her friends and family close by, to support one anothers' healing from what they experienced. maria still deals with the emotional and mental struggles as in Wilted -- ranging from hallucinations to depressive episodes to anxiety attacks, sleep paralysis / night terrors and more. this route, however, slowly shows a brighter future ahead of them, as they continue with their lives -- together.

❤. 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓.

they did it! voice in head whispers. she could see them up ahead, frames silhouetted by the rising sun awaiting to bask them in its radiance. the back of one of them, so warm and comforting as they carried her towards the light, brought a wave of relief into her tired, aching body, and she could feel herself relaxing far more than she's felt since she was first brought to this hell. peering past closing eyelids, at the rest of them ahead, haloed by the sun, her angels whom she loved so dearly, for coming to find her, for loving her so deeply in return. for everything, voice softly whispers close to the ear of the one carrying her, i love you all. thank you. smile spreads across her face. and as they pass through and into the open air, as the suns warm rays of light shine down on them all - relief and happiness on their faces at everyone getting out safely - maria sighs quietly, and welcomes the light of the sun one last time. an alternate end to the young woman with a smile and heart as bright and warm as the light shining down on them when they have escaped the familys' clutches. maria, upon seeing that her friends have all made it out alive, succumbs to her injuries in the height of their celebration. bitter yet sweet, it may be comforting to know that they - at the very least - can lay her rest someplace far better suited for their sister & friend than to leave her to be picked at and rot in the depths of the basement.

❤. 𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍.

aka, chapter 2. basement brawl begins once again. almost two entire decades later, with everyone having seemingly moved on, comes the proposition to return to the house - finish what was started, ensure an end is put on the family that so greatly altered their lives all those years ago. essentially ch.2 overall, but also serves as a catch-all for other verses ( ie cc/nosy or wilted/shine's versions of the friendgroup returning to the house to finish what was started twenty years ago ).

❤. 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒.

aka, college au and beyond. all the silly, lovely adventures of a group of friends simply living their lives - no murder house, no hell basement, no losing a friend. simply good vibes and good times ahead.

❤. 𝐌𝐘 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆.

a modern verse plopping maria down in todays setting. she has a very successful side career of roadtripping and uploading vlogs & photography about her travels.

( with johnnysslaughter ) what happens after a person goes missing? when trail runs cold, evidence and leads are suppressed, and search is called off in spite of family and friends' pleads to continue? when the man who murmured sweet praises to you and flashed handsome smiles as your gaze met his across the room -- now towers over you, cowering in fear, with teeth bared into wild grin? kept in the shack outside of nancy's home, maria is held captive by johnny serving as a cute little plaything to torment, to mold into something lethal like him. this timeline explores several routes of the years maria has spent with the murderous family, a lamb amongst wolves. ( multiple routes. )

❤. 𝐍𝐎 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔.

aka, nosy or dire au & we saved us or wsu. ( with johnnysslaughter & lifesver ) intertwining two ill-fated ends of two remarkably kind-hearted, sunshine-coded friends, maria & leland are caught by johnny in this timeline -- held captive together. the leverage johnny gains on them amps the harsh treatment of the two, being pushed to limits and violence in desperate attempt to keep one another as safe as possible in spite of the circumstances they have found themselves in. ( multiple routes. )

❤. 𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐁𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃.

aka, medieval / fantasy au or pre-prequel of maria & johnny. ( with johnnysslaughter ) [ maria ] is the only child -- a princess -- of a king struggling to retain peace and strength of his kingdom. brought up to eventually step in to rule and protect their people and be eventually married off, her safety is entrusted to one of the kingdoms' most loyal and strongest knights -- sir james [ johnny ]. however, time passes and something brews between the princess and her devoted knight -- an oath is promised and broken, an oath is promised and kept -- and the consequences of those sacred vows unraveling spiral the forbidden lovers into a vicious cycle of reincarnation spanning centuries, spanning universes and timelines. a tale of the beginning of maria & johnny's red string of fate. a pair of souls doomed to live and die and cross paths -- some ending peaceful and loving; others . . . violently.

My personal SDV Shane HCs

Sebastian reminds Shane so much of his younger self it makes his heart ache. Seb, Abi and Sam remind him of himself and Jas’s parents when they were younger, before the accident.

His ears are covered in healed piercings, his lip and eyebrow also.

When he either marries the farmer or when the Joja Mart closes he starts working on the farm, and gets big. Like I picture year five Shane fuckin swole. Hay bale lifting and heavy machinery pushing all goes to his shoulders

Im not saying washboard abs, the kinda strength you see in proper weight lifters, all muscle and roundness thats rough around the edges.

I like to think there are old home videos of Shane and Jas’s parents that she plays sometimes, when the saloon gets a TV she brings them in to watch on the proper TV rather than the poor excuse that Marnie has, Shane cries like a baby seeing is old friends on a decent screen, in high quality.

and Seb, Abi and Sam watch jaws drop as alternate timeline versions of them appear on the screen

Shane can fuckin sing, while hes working that man has the OG emo anthems either blasting or singing them himself.

He does the cough at the beginning of ‘dear maria count me in’ and it makes him laugh everytime before he sings with the most angelic ex-emo voice the world has ever heard.

Shane and Jas’ parents definitely had a band of their own, Shane gives me Bass or Keyboard vibes along with primarily back up vocals but once he has a drink in him he could lead vocal for hours.

He seems like the kinda guy that once upon a time was probably the most stressed waiter known to man, nineteen years old Shane having decided to not go to college his roomates/bestfriends are pregnant and are planning a shotgun wedding, stressed outta his mind, industrial piercing rejecting and infected, eye twitching while a customer asks for their fries to be replaced with prawns and refusing to pay any extra costs for that

He gives screaming match in the kitchen with the chef and then going out back to smoke weed with him vibes.

A.N: ( See even though im like late I STILL POSTED! im on like grind yall but, this man so fine I'm like i must write my deepest soul wrenching words about him)

I'm not perfect.

That's it. I tried every day as a kid to be perfect; pretty hair, small frame, soft voice everything to look desirable to others I tried to be. In high school I needed to be bold, thicker but not too thick, tall but too tall; never speak overly passionate it was a turn off, don't wear too much makeup it's like I'm a slut, and never can venture out and find a comfortable look for me. I never let the girl inside eat.

I wasn't berated though? Yes, I got stares when I wore something sitting and people saw my stomach, like yes mothafucka I got a stomach y'all thought it was a huge ass pot in my shirt? Yes, I did get the ' I'm sO cOnFideNt!' talk when I ate something like fruit, who doesn't like pineapple? When shopping I had looks of could I fit this or that and nobody ever comforted me when I would cry about not fitting jeans.

I was never perfect. But he never cared.

" What are you having for lunch?" was asked by my closest coworker, Maria she and I was friends since our college days when cramming information about law, statistics, and for some reason Shakespeare; we were forever. I turned to her in this damn rolling chair that was obviously not made for a girl with that thang back there, I mean why is half my leg practically on the floor? I thought about it for a second.

" I could go for quick burger, what about you?

" That's fine! Also did you finish your report? I didn't even get to..." I just stared at her though my head in space, Maria turned to see what I'm looking at and she saw a strange man walking inside the room.

" Um...I don't think he works here?"

" Is this when we got to fight for our lives? I don't have no weapon."

The man tall, dark unruly hair not curly though it looks like a one of those emo people from the 2000's like my chemical romance vibes, he has a homeless man look on him...its kind of sexy thought but, he doesn't work here?

We watch him while towards us and goes to the head manager cubicle that two rows ahead of us. We look at each other and look down acting like we're working but, we really being nosy. We hear only indicant chatter and the strange man's voice, his name is Riuzaki? Or Rukai? I don't know and our manager asked again, and he ignored the question and started talking about something different. Kind of rude but, with the way our manager is I'd do the same; Maria looks at me and looks at the time and tells me it our lunch break so, we both get up and I make sure to push down my jacket a habit I did as a teen to look slimmer, we walk out and down the little pathway to the front of the office when we get close to the strange man I turn my head down, his eyes immediately traced to me and he stared at me and he turned, kind of weird his eye contact was intense!

We walked over to the company lunch places inside it's a tiny burger spot filled with American dishes; we haven't really eaten there so we decided to try it out since it was also raining. Maria order first, a chicken salad with extra chicken and cheese with a large drink and dessert then it's me, a cheeseburger with fries and a large drink with a cookie; we wait a bit and sat down at a two-seat table and we talk about the sight we just saw.

" I wonder if he's trying to get a job here? "

" For what though? we ain't got nothing available yet."

" What if they fired somebody!? I heard but I didn't hear from department C that somebody was overusing company resources and they got let go."

" Omg, who?" Maria was going to say but we hear a buzz, and our food was ready we grabbed a tray and the person who gave us our orders gives me a look, ya'know the look of ' Breaking that diet huh?' Its common but still is annoying so I mean mug him back and he backs off. Sitting down we talk about our topics of choice like vacations, fashion trends, the latest news when the man from earlier comes down; didn't even see him till he pulled up a chair beside me and stared. Like what?

" Oh, Hello!" I introduced myself and Maria does the same, but how says nothing and stared at me.

" Are you going to eat that?" He points at a strawberry cookie I got, I look and shake my head "no' even though I was saving it I give it to him and smiled. He takes it and thanks me and then turned to Maria and asked how she feels about the company. Now, Maria is a sweet girl but, if she can't say her opinion without lying so she tries to say it's wonderful but, he caught on.

" Don't lie. I'm not going to do anything."

" Oh! but I'm not! really it's a won-"

" Your eyes turned up, when some people lie, they eyes turn up to think of somethings. Your hands turned over into a clasped position saying you're more of nervous than calm when I asked."

She's shocked and so am I, he takes a bite of the cookie and then looks at me to which I look away and he stares at me; deep black eyes pierced into, and I just look away because if I looked back what if he jumps me and I gotta kick and scream like that would be so embarrassing!

" Are you nervous?

" No, never"

" Hm...You look uncomfortable" He continued eating and I looked at Maria with a head tilt.

" So, what's making me uncomfortable."

" Your clothes, your shoes are hurting your feet by the way you walked quickly, and you have the heels of them off" He responded quickly, and I was shocked I mean he didn't lie. I just look and Maria excused her and mouthed ' Whoop his ass' and went to the bathroom, so now it's just us. We look at each other and I just shook my head and began eating again. He just looks at me and then turns his body towards me completely.

" What?"

" Do you like your position here?"

If I had the choice between working here and $20, I would pick $20 and a bag of skittles, it has it benefits from time to time but it not worth the headaches and long hours and I tell him just that. He hums and says nobody ever been that honest and I could care less, I listen and eat when he asked another question.

" If you're really don't like how you look why don't you change it"

It wasn't even a question it was like a statement like he knew, he knew from when he stared at me, he watched me. I look at him shocked and I just chuckled and threw the rest of my food away and left, texting Maria that I got sick. Walking away I see him get up and follow me, so ignored him; he just walked beside me and just looks either at me or around him hunched over like he finna throw up. Like what compells somebody to say that? Did he think I'm the one to try to play around with thing you'll get a good joke ooutta me? I should've shoved that damn drink up his stuck up ugy big headed-

" Your mumbling"

"...ok"

" If what I said made you mad just say it"

" If I did I'll go to jail for man slaughter."

He just chuckled, even though I'm pissed he sounded a little smexyyy but, I'll still beat his ass. I keep walking towards the parking lot, and he grabbed my arm asking can he be honest.

It has already been a month since you have been living with Natasha on the same roof and a lot of adjustments have been made, not only at home but also at school. Some of them were fine but the rest of them annoyed the hell out of you.

You hate her that was certain, but you have been feeling things for her whenever the two of you had interactions with each other. Whether they were good or bad. You knew it was wrong and weird but you fantasized about kissing her

“You coming Y/N?” Wanda asked as you were walking to your next class along with Pietro, Peter and Carol.

Pietro is Wanda’s twin brother and you have the same classes with him in almost every single subject except for Russian Literature that’s why you have been friends with him too.

Well for Peter, you and him have been lab partners since freshman year and he has been a huge help for you when it came to Science. He is definitely a Science geek but he means well.

As for Carol, apparently has had a thing for you since you started playing for the volleyball team of the university. She’s a beautiful blonde, has a bold yet great personality and is even the captain of the cheerleading team.

You decided to give it a shot, even though you already told her that you don’t take relationships that seriously. She agreed saying that she’s willing to risk it and that she might even change that for you. And now, you have just been letting the relationship take its course and see where it will take you.

“You know I can’t Wanda, ever since Natasha moved in I haven’t been able to go out after school because I apparently have to ride home with her.” You replied with a hint of disappointment and annoyance in your voice.

This was one of the adjustments that annoyed you, since Natasha brings her car to school everyday, your sister told you that you can just ride home with her. Except for the days that you have student council work to do or you have volleyball training cause you go home later than usual. You couldn’t even stay in one room together without you feeling a bit angry or annoyed at her, let alone a car ride home with her even though it’s only a 30 minute car ride.

“Oh come on baby, it’s the weekend tomorrow, why don’t you text your sister that you’re going out later and see how that goes.” Carol said as she placed her arm around your waist.

Wanda rubbed her temple and said, “I swear, Professor Romanoff isn’t even your sister and yet she acts like one more than Maria.”

“She’s more like a babysitter in my opinion.” Pietro snickered, making Wanda roll her eyes at her twin brother.

You started typing your text message to Maria and a few seconds later you hit send. Your sister immediately read the text message and replied with, “Alright, just don’t be home too late.”

“So?” Wanda asked as she heard the sound from your phone.

“She said yes.” You replied, making Wanda squeal with joy.

“Hell yeah! We’re getting drunk tonight.” Peter cheered.

You were now at the parking lot of the school on your way to find Natasha, a few moments later you finally saw Natasha and she was leaning against her car with a cigarette in hand, she was also already looking in your direction.

“Isn’t this a non-smoking area?” You asked with your arms crossed.

Natasha hummed, “Yes, but I am not a student like you.” She quipped.

You wanted to roll your eyes so badly at her response but you stopped yourself, “I’m not riding home with you today, I’ve got plans.” You said as you looked directly at her emerald green eyes.

“And by plans you mean?” She asked with her brow raised and a drag from her cigarette.

“I’m just going out with my friends.” You simply replied.

Natasha looked behind you and saw that Carol was waiting by the light post a few meters away from the both of you. “Right, friends.” she said with obvious sarcasm in her voice. She clicked her tongue and asked, “Does Maria know about this?”

“She does,” You replied and showed her your conversation with Maria earlier.

It wasn’t what she meant, she wanted to know if Maria knew about you dating the cheerleader but she would just ask you about that some other time.

“Fine, I’ll see you later.” She lastly said before she dropped her cigarette onto the ground and stepped on it, she then went into her car and drove off.

“Shall we go?” You suddenly heard Carol ask as she held your hand.

You nodded and said, “Yeah, let’s go and have some fun.”

A few drinks later, you decided to call it a night, it was getting late and you didn’t want an earful from your sister at an ungodly hour.

But what you didn’t expect was seeing a very familiar car waiting by the entrance. The window rolled down and you saw the very least person you wanted to see, Natasha.

“I didn’t ask for a chauffeur.” You said with annoyance.

“Your sister asked me to pick you up. She has an emergency at work if that's why you're wondering I'm the one picking you up instead of your sister.” Natasha plainly said to you with her piercing eyes almost as if she's going to eat you whole.

You were a bit scared with how she's looking at you but your anger and annoyance were dominating, “I'm not riding with you, I'm clearly not drunk so I don't need someone to bring me home. Plus, I'm going to walk Carol to her dorm.”

If Natasha was keeping her composure earlier, she’s sure as hell isn't now after you mentioned that girl.

What she did next is something you didn't expect at all, she got out of her car and grabbed both of your arms, placed them on your back then pushed you onto the wall and twisted one of your arms making you hiss and curse in pain.

“Ow! S-stop that!” you yelped.

Natasha leaned on your ear and whispered, “I'm going to stop once you step inside the car. So, I'll tell you this one more time, get. in.”

The way her voice husked in your ear definitely made you feel something but you still weren't going to easily fold, “Like hell I will.” you said making Natasha twisting your arm more making you scream in pain this time. After a few moments you finally gave up, “A-Alright, I-I'll get in.” you said, making Natasha chuckle and let go of your wrist, “Good, thought we're going to be here all night.”

Natasha then strutted back to her car as you continued to rub your wrist in pain later seeing a slight bruise forming as you entered the car.

“That's gonna teach you to listen to me, Y/N. I may be living rent free in your household but that doesn't mean you're allowed to disrespect me once we're outside campus.” Natasha said as she started to drive away.

You rolled your eyes and sat silent in your seat, until your phone rang, the caller ID revealing that your girlfriend was calling. "Hey babe. Yeah sorry, apparently, my sister told Natasha to pick me up." you heard Natasha click her tongue.

"I'll make it up to you tomorrow, I promise. Alright. Bye." you said then ended the call.

"Didn't say the 'L' word?" Natasha suddenly asked.

You scoffed, "No, we're not seriously dating. There's no need for that."

"Ah, so it's more on just sex then?" Natasha asked with a smirk on her face.

"What? N-no I mean… kind of, I mean…" you groan in frustration, "You know what, it's none of your business."

"Fine, I already got a clue anyway just from the answer alone." Natasha replied, her smirk not leaving her face.

"Whatever." you said while rolling your eyes.

Natasha suddenly grabbed your thigh and dug her nails into it making you hiss in pain, "Roll your eyes at me one more time, you're going to get it." she said as she continued driving and digging her nails into your thigh.

What she said and did made you remain still and silent in your seat, thankfully, you were already near your home.

Once you arrived, you immediately left the car and went inside to your bedroom, laying face planted onto the mattress and finally succumbed to sleep.

"I'm going on a business trip for a few weeks," Maria said as you ate breakfast.

"What? You're leaving me here?" You said in shock and disbelief.

"I wish you could come with me but you have school and plus, you have Natasha to stay here with you."

That was the issue, you didn't want to be left alone together with the woman you certainly despised with your whole being.

"When are you leaving?" Natasha asked as she got up from her seat and placed her dishes on the sink.

"Tonight, so that's why I won't be here once you guys get back." Maria replied as she also got up and placed her dishes on the sink.

You lastly got up and gathered all your dishes and placed them in the dishwasher. After that, you hugged your sister and said, "Take care big sis."

She hugged you back and replied, "Of course I will. I love you little sis."

You said I love you back and Natasha was just watching the whole scene unfold in front of her, it always made her smile when she would see you let all your guard down around your sister, it just meant that you really felt safe around her.

It reminded her of her sister, Yelena. Who is busy traveling the world and living her best life, making up for the lost time she had before because of their past.

Maria released her embrace. “Go wait for Natasha in her car, I have to talk to her about something first.” she said and you nodded in response then left the room with Natasha's car keys in hand.

Once they heard the door close, Maria took a deep breath and spoke, “You can… take care of her for me right? She tends to be reckless sometimes and I just want to make sure she's not going to be in some trouble while I'm gone.”

“You can count on me Maria, I mean, I already got a taste of that when I picked her up last night.”

What Natasha said made Maria raise a brow at her, “Really? What did she do?”

“She refused to get in the car with me, but it's fine, I managed.” Natasha replied with a slight smirk on her face.

“I see, well… I hope you won't experience more of that in the next few days. Well, anyway, you guys got to go, it's getting a bit late.” Maria lastly said before they hugged and Natasha left the kitchen.

Starting tonight, you'll be left with the woman you hate but at the same time feel certain things for. You're nervous but excited even to see what will happen the next few days of the two of you living together without your sister.

Natasha got in her car and started the engine. But before she starts to drive she looked you in the eyes and said, “Look, I know you don't like me and I can't blame you for that but we'll be living together for a few weeks and I want us to be friends even just for the time being for the sake of your sister.”

A smirk formed on your face, “Alright, if that's what you want then let's be friends.” you simply replied and Natasha did a simple nod in respone and started to drive you both to school.

One of the many perks to being Tony Stark’s daughter was that you got a whole floor of the Tower to yourself. It had everything you needed: a kitchen, living room, office, bedroom, bathroom, and a small lab. You didn’t leave your floor much over the next few days due to the amount of work Pepper needed your help with and your college assignments. Natasha forced you from your floor once a day for training. You had learned the hard way to never fight Natasha on going down to train, so you went when called.

Once Saturday rolled around, you had finished some major school project and what Pepper needed, including planning the night’s party. You began to get more anxious for the party, as you always did. You had been to a few of these parties that Tony held at the Tower, but you were really never allowed to go as yourself. Always the Stark Industries employee who just happened to be close to all of the Avengers. 

Before you got ready for the party, you decided to head to the lab and check in with Tony. She had been informed by Natasha that Bruce and Tony had hardly left the lab since the latest mission. It didn’t shock you, Tony was where you learned to lock yourself up in a room to focus on work. You found Tony in his lab, alone and mumbling to himself.

“What did we miss?”

“I’ll continue to run variations on the interface,” JARVIS responded to Tony’s mumbling. “But you should probably prepare for your guests. I’ll notify you if there are any developments.”

“Hey! That was low.”

You laughed. “Sorry, Dad. I love you.” You pressed a kiss to his cheek. “I’m going to go get myself ready. See you at the party?”

Tony nodded. “Of course.”

The main common area was already bustling with party goes when you finally arrived. Your outfit was simple, a pair of Vans and a black, knee-length, t-shirt dress. Something comfy, yet cute. You had stopped at the top of the stairs so that you could see how the party was going and to see where the Team was hiding out. Over playing pool, you found Steve and his friend, Sam, while Thor was chatting it up with some old war veterans not far from there. Rhodey, Maria, and Natasha were talking on the couch, Helen and Clint were outside on the balcony, and Bruce, who had a thing for Natasha but was too scared to say anything, was awkwardly standing around and looking at Natasha. Too busy observing, you didn’t notice Tony coming up from behind you. He slipped his arm through yours, linking them, and causing you to jump slightly. You looked over to see Tony wearing his usual multi-pieced suit and a pair of red shaded sunglasses.

“You look beautiful, kid,” Tony complemented. “I don’t think I’ll let you leave my side all night. Can’t have anyone trying to make moves on you. I’m not ready for that yet.”

“No one will be able to do anything, Dad,” you retorted as Tony began leading you down the stairs and towards the bar. “The Team will be on high alert for my safety as well as you. Besides, you forget that I can take care of myself. I’m sure that I can do way worse to anyone who tries to harm me.”

“I don’t doubt that,” he smirked.

Tony pulled his arm from yours behind leaning against the bar and ordering himself an alcoholic drink. You found yourself a different bartender and ordered a non-alcoholic drink. Thor, Maria, and Rhodey made their way over to the bar, each grabbing a drink before Rhodey started telling one of his War Machine stories.

“Well, you know,” he said, in the middle of the story when you finally began paying attention, “the suit can take the weight, right? So I take the tank, fly it right up to the General’s palace, drop it at his feet. I’m like, ‘boom. You looking for this?’” Tony and Thor stared at him unimpressed, waiting for something more from the story. You shot him a sympathetic smile. “Boom. Are you looking—Why do I even talk to you guys? Everywhere else that story kills.”

“That’s the whole story?” Thor questioned.

“Yeah, it’s a War Machine story.”

“Well, it’s very good then,” Thor laughed. “It’s impressive.”

“It’s a good one, Uncle Rhodey,” you added, trying to help the situation.

“Quality save,” Rhodey responded. “So, no Pepper? She’s not coming?”

“No,” Tony answered.

“What about Jane?” Maria asked. “Where are the ladies, gentlemen?”

“Umm…” you raised your hand, “I’m here.” Nobody seemed to care.

“Well, Ms. Potts has a company to run,” Tony said.

“Yes, I’m not even sure what country Jane’s in,” Thor added. “Her work on the convergence has made her the world’s foremost astronomer.”

“And the company that Pepper runs is the largest tech conglomerate on Earth. It’s pretty exciting.”

“There’s even talk of Jane getting a… un, uh, Nobel prize.”

You and Maria shook your heads as you shared a look, both believing this conversation was getting ridiculous. “Yeah, they must be busy because they’d hate missing you guys get together,” Maria commented.

“Testosterone,” you fake coughed, earning the stink eye from both Thor and Tony. “Oh, sorry, excuse me.”

“Let’s go,” Rhodey said to Maria, linking their arms together before walking away.

“Jane’s better,” Thor muttered as Tony took another sip of his drink.

“Well, not that this hasn’t been fun,” you started as you slowly backed away, “but I’m going to go mingle.” You turned and headed into the crowd.

“Be safe!” Tony called out.

You waved off your father as you entered the crowd. You had love-hate relationships with events like this. Pretending to just be an S.I. intern was nice sometimes, no questions that were too personal and no one was using you just to get close to your father and the Team. But then it also hurt, feeling like you couldn’t form true connections because you weren’t allowed to be your true self.

As you walked around the room, you noticed that Steve and Sam had moved up to the loft, looking over the party as they chatted. You and Steve made eye contact, causing you to send a smile and a wave. He responded in kind before you continued your walk around the party. You did this for most of the night, avoiding any real conversations besides telling a few of the workers what needed to be restocked and cleaned up. A few men did come up and try to flirt with you. Almost as soon as they started, they were scared off by something over your shoulder. You could only assume that it was Tony doing something to scare them off.

You eventually found a place to sit near where Thor, the veterans, and now Steve were hanging out. Thor pulled out an Asgardian flask and started passing it around. You rolled your eyes and went back to observing the rest of the partygoers. Slowly, your focus moved to the glass that you were holding, your finger running along the circular rim. Honestly, this party was more lonely than you thought it would be. So, you decided to stay put and lose yourself in the circular motions of your finger tracing the rim of your cup.

After trying some of Thor’s Asgardian liquor, Steve decided he needed to find a different crowd to be with, especially once the veterans tried to drink as much as they could. His eyes scanned the room to see where any of his other friends were. His eyes stopped at you. You were sitting alone on one of the couches, staring at your cup. Steve looked at you sympathetically, knowing that you had put so much work into this party only for you to end up alone. He headed for you, never taking his eyes away from you as he did. Stopping in front of you, Steve waited for a moment to see if you would notice. He smiled to himself when you didn’t notice and tapped your foot with his. Your eyes snapped up to look at him, your heart stopping for a brief moment upon meeting his caring, blue eyes.

“Hey,” Steve smiled down at you.

“Hey, Steve,” you replied. “What’s up?”

“I believe you promised me a dance.” He held out one of his hands.

You quickly glanced around the room. “But no one else is dancing.”

“And I don’t know how to dance.” He reached down and took a hold of your hands. “Let’s go.”

Steve pulled you up and led you to a small opening amidst the mingling crowd. There was music softly playing in the background, but not necessarily the type that people would slow dance to. Steve faced you and slipped one hand around your back before fixing the other to grip your hand better. Hesitantly, you rested your free hand on Steve’s shoulder, sending a silent prayer that Steve’s super hearing couldn’t pick up the sound of your pounding heart.

“This party is great,” Steve said, slowly guiding you around in a small circle. “You did really good.”

“Thanks,” you responded.

“How has your night been?”

“It’s been good. A bit lonely…”

“Why is that?”

You sighed. “I just don’t feel like I can make any true friendships since I have to pretend that I’m someone I’m not most of the time.”

Steve had never taken that into consideration, that you had to hide a lot of yourself from people. “I’m sorry… Tony is just trying to project you. There are dangerous people out there and with your…” Steve paused briefly as if he was trying to figure out the right thing to say, “past,” he finally got out. “We don’t know if there are people out there looking for you. Tony simply wants you kept safe… As do I.” You lost your breath for a brief moment. “Though, I do believe that you can handle more than Tony believes you can.”

“I know, since you did suggest that I was ready to join the Team.”

“I did say that, didn’t I?” Steve shook his head with a slight smile. “I shouldn’t say things that may get your hopes up.”

“Aren’t you the Captain of the Team? Can’t you make the call to put me on the roster? You know that I am more than ready. Besides, I’m an adult.”

“Yes, but Tony can be scary sometimes when it comes to your safety.”

“He needs to let me live a little. I can’t stay in this Tower forever. I’m not Rapunzel. I will find a way onto the roster, with or without my Dad’s permission.”

“I’m already scared of the plans you could come up with. Don’t try to trick me into letting you on the roster. It won’t work.”

“Well, dang it. Here I thought that I had you wrapped around my finger.”

“Don’t doubt that, doll.”

Suddenly, Steve spun you out, causing you to let out a squeal before spinning you back into his chest. People looked over at the scene, clearing judging, but neither of you cared, too much in your own little world. Steve pulled you closer than he had before, locking eyes with you. It didn’t go unnoticed by you that Steve’s gaze briefly fell to your lips. But before you knew it, Seteve had let you go and stepped back. You tried to hide the hurt and confusion that now filled you.

“Thank you for the dance, Miss Stark,” Steve bowed playfully, trying to defuse the awkward tension rising between them.

You quickly devices to play along, giving him a curtsy. “No, thank you, Captain Rogers.”

“I need to make a few more rounds.” He started backing away. “I’ll see you later.”

“Yeah… see you later…”

A Brief Look at Stem(me) History

Wanted to know more about Black lesbian identities and I couldn't find a lot on Tumblr or Twitter so I did some research on stem/stemme myself. I'm not involved in queer discourse like that but I've noticed stemme being compared with futch both positively an negatively. The term "futch" is a mash up of butch and femme and the OG Futch Scale was posted 17th February 2011. In 2015, it got posted to Tumblr and became a meme, then an accidental "guide" on lesbian identity. Regardless of stances pro-futch or anti-futch I wanted to find info on stem/stemme as a Black lesbian identity for gender and gender expression. The modern definition of a stem/stemme is a Black lesbian whose gender expression and mannerisms fall between stud and femme. I've managed to find definitions not only supporting this but also definitions predating the futch scale, both pre and post meme version:

"Stem – A person whose gender expression falls somewhere between a stud and a femme.  (See also ‘Femme’ and ‘Stud’.)" Stud is defined as "An African-American and/or Latina masculine lesbian.  Also known as ‘butch’ or ‘aggressive’." (John Jay College of Criminal Justice LGBTQ+ Terminology, Eli R. Green, 2003-2004)

"Stemm A stemm is a gay/lesbian female who dresses like a guy, and dresses like a girl. Person 1: Look at that girl, she looks like a dude with all those guy clothes on, she has to be a stud Person 2: Well she was wearing girly clothes yesterday, so I thought she was a femm Person 3: Actually she's a stemm, she's wears boy clothes sometimes, and girl clothes other times" (Urban Dictionary definition of Stemm by user JenniferHill, November 8th 2009)

Many participants refused to recognise that stemmes existed and instead described them as confused. As Shane (age 22) admitted: ‘Sometimes they [studs and femmes] think that we’re confused. Skills are allowed (and encouraged!), if you don't want to give them in game, add them in their description and I'll handle the rest

Relativity Falls AU time

This won't be a one on one counterpart for the entirety of Gravity Falls. Since we're not doing this one on one, we're changing contents of some episodes!

Here's the swapped characters:

Ford = Mabel

Stan = Dipper

Shermie is a fusion of both twins

Wendy = Fiddleford

Euclid and Scalene = Preston and Priscilla

Soos = Abuelita (her name's Maria, or 'Ria' for short)

And now, context!

Mason is the Pines brothers' grandpa, who had a falling out with his son Filbrick before the events of the show. The fight is unknown (but will be revealed later on) but Filbrick cuts off all contact- until he and Sherman began butting heads, teenage rebellion and all, so Filbrick asks his dad to 'set Shermie straight.' What happened was the best summers Shermie has, and annually he goes to Gravity Falls to be with his grandpa.

Much to the family's obliviousness, Shermie has been helping Mason cover up any supernatural things happening within the town, while also using the tourist trap known as the mystery shack to give tourists and other townsfolk the benefit of the doubt. Because of this, Shermie has few to several run-ins with the Society of the Blind Eye but disagrees with their methods of keeping the townsfolk safe from Gravity Falls' weirdness.

Mason trusts his oldest grandson completely with working around the house and keeping the supernatural creatures distant from their family, but he hasn't told him anything about his sister or the portal inside the basement. He doesn't trust Shermie enough for this.

In Shermie's 18th year, his parents are finally in their divorce proceedings, and Caryn wants custody of his younger brothers. Since he's been admitted to college, he offers that he and his brothers stay in Gravity Falls with their grandpa Mason for a while, to which both parents accepted.

Shermie secretly keeps the fact that he was moving away from New Jersey to California for the college years for his university, something that WILL be found out by the twins. The twins assume that Shermie is going to be studying in a community college near them.

Stanley doesn't trust Grandpa Mason at first but starts warming up to him when he sees how much Shermie trusts him, and the way Ford is smiling to be with someone as weird as him.

Ford's main gripe with Mason is the fact that he makes a 'mockery' of weirdness, which is then soured by the fact that Gravity Falls is TRULY weird and Mason seems to think they're just 'special effects.' When he found the third scrapbook, he starts trying to find out about the author, and figuring out the many weird things in Gravity Falls, even adding more information in the scrapbooks provided.

Since Shermie is included in the twins' adventures (mostly- if he's not being a distant dumbass most of the time) some of the stuff will not stay the same if Shermie has anything to say about it. He just has a hard time trying to be like... a perfect role model for his brothers. He's not socially awkward, he just doesn't feel dedicated socializing with people. It's a lesson he learns at the end of the series, that being distant won't help him in the long run.

Mason and Mabel have a good relationship. Once Mabel is out of the portal, Mason takes it upon himself to resolve the rift that had formed between the two of them, and grow a stronger sibling bond. Meanwhile, Ford and Stan's bonds are starting to fracture. Stanley idolizes the bond they shared, promising that he and Ford will be like Mason and Mabel when they grow up, minus the portal thing.

Mason feels very guilty about pushing Mabel in the portal. Even if it was an accident, he still managed to rob Mabel 30 normal years. She's always wanted to get married, and Mabel tries to make him feel less guilty over it. He was just paranoid, mad and hurt Mabel was sending him away over again. She takes responsibility, wishing she could've been more direct and explained the situation better.

Wendy is Fiddleford, wherein Mabel asks her to help her with heavy work and heavy lifting, along with Candy and Grenda who were recruited to help with the portal project. She was the one who fell into the portal the testing day and found out about Pacifica's true plans. She tries to get Mabel to stop the project, but she only ended up convincing Candy and Grenda, who admit that ever since the portal project started, Mabel hasn't been feeling herself. Mabel wouldn't budge, so Wendy and her friends left, causing Mabel to be isolated socially.

Mason married a high school sweetheart after he left his house when Mabel was still upset with him over accidentally ruining her discovery that won the science fair. He stayed with her and decided to have a family, because that's what grown-ups do, right? Start a family and raise kids? And he wants to be better than his parents, no fighting with children and whatnot.

But happy endings don't last forever, he ends up being in the same cycle as his parents are, but at least the two of them fight privately unlike what his parents have done. But it was inevitable that they end up divorcing, and his wife won the custody battle with Filbrick. But that's mainly because he had been in Gravity Falls during the entire divorce trials, seemingly not caring about the divorce proceedings and his son.

Mason and Mabel reunited after ten years of no contact on the cusp of winter. Mason is incredibly stressed with the divorce proceedings, while Mabel is paranoid, sleep deprived, and afraid of Pacifica coming to get her, and Mason is eager to get this over with so Mabel can maybe vouch for him in the divorce proceedings so he can gain custody of Filbrick. But then he sees Mabel look so broken and shattered, he stops his motivations, tries to calm her down, but it leads to the portal incident. Or accident! Mason tries to hold onto her, but Mabel still fell, and now he has lost both families in one day.

When he realized he lost the custody battle, he relocates to Gravity Falls fully, becoming some sort of monster hunter and tourist guide respectively, and to work on the portal. He introduced everyone as Mabel's brother, saying she entrusted him to take care of her house while she navigates the Arctic. Then, he fabricates Mabel's death, stating she is forever lost at sea after her shipping vessel exploded, so now Mason has the rights to the shack. Of course, when he is found by Mabel's old friends, his memories of the unknown were almost erased, since the trio ended up making a cult.

Candy is the new leader of the Society of the Blind Eye, however, because of her close ties to the author and Wendy remembering her old friend even a little bit, the twins are a lot more lenient with erasing almost the entirety of her memories. She does face the consequences of her actions about running a cult, though.

That's all I have for the characters as of this moment! As I said before, not everything is gonna be a one-on-one counterpart! Everyone is unique in their own ways!

Here's a few episodes that might be altered thanks to Shermie's involvement (idk some stuff yet ok):

Tourist Trapped: Dipper and Shermie immediately figure out that Stan's new girlfriend Darlene is a spider monster and ushers her out there. Stan becomes rebellious and rendezvouses with Darlene, causing her to reveal her true nature. Ford thinks she's a fairy about to kidnap Stanley to make him her queen.

Society of the Blind Eye: He's going to punch Blind Ivan, RIGHT IN THE FACE-

Lee, Ford, and Shermie vs. the Future: Instead of Mabel asking Ford to be his apprentice, Ford asks Mabel if she is willing to mentor him. When she asks if his brothers would be fine with that, he says so, and she says she'll think about it. When he returns, he finds out that Stan heard the conversation, and Shermie immediately begins to scold Ford for thinking about himself. The ensuing argument forces Shermie to reveal that, since he's going to California for college, the twins should stick together. This makes the Stans feel betrayed, that their only possible role model is now going away from them 'forever.' Stanley runs away, and Ford and Shermie try looking for him.

Some episodes may be different or have a different monster of the week! I want Ford and Stan and Shermie's adventures to not be identical to the Pines twins!
