been playing through TWDG after like 10 years and I decided to draw a really self-serving idea of "what if every child throughout the series made it to Ericsons with Clem"

Duck is not a smart man but he's exceptionally loyal. His lack of wit is countered by his raw strength, despite losing a hand all the way back at the motor inn. At Ericson's he'd probably hang around with the likes of Mitch and Willy. Totally has his dad's hat somewhere.

Becca is the local pain in the ass. Constantly breaching the safe zone and acting primarily in her own interests, few people actually like her but can't deny her capability; she's good to have around in a fight. She's come to respect Clementine's resourcefulness but would never admit it.

Sarah stays firmly within the walls of the school, but that doesn't mean she doesn't pull her own weight. Following in her father's footsteps she's the closest the school has to a doctor now. She'll hang close to Clementine but also gets along with Ruby and Aasim.

Gabe Garcia is the local sadboy. He's not as moody as he was in Richmond, but he's still a little mopey and insists on stepping up. Despite her protests he's very protective of his sister, and still harbors a soft spot for Clementine - so naturally doesn't get along with Louis/Violet.

Mariana Garcia is young but capable, and weirdly well adjusted and mature for her age - she's younger than Gabe but feels like the older sister. After the New Frontier shot her eye out she hasn't been as active in a fight but she'll still insist on pulling her weight while knowing her limits. Gets on with everyone.

James Fairbanks is the oldest known surviving member of his family (unless Sam is still out there) and is brutally protective of his younger brother, Alex. Has a mutual respect with Clem and is very good at setting traps outside the school.

Alex Fairbanks would probably like to fight walkers more but James prefers he'd stick to supply runs and stay on watch. He feels stuck at the kids' table and wants to do more to help, but is at a loss on how to do so.

twdg s4 really gave us an adorable wlw romance for the main character about building a home and a family where the two antagonists are an evil woman who she was partially cared for by as a child and her girlfriends fucked up not-exactly-ex girlfriend who wants her dead (who has been manipulated by Evil Woman and they are character foils) AND its written by a gay woman and its fucking CRICKETS!!!!! i dont understand !!!!!!!

MORE AUTISTIC JAVIER GARCIA

So i like to imagine when javi was younger and finding out he was autistic, he would feel ashamed of himself because he felt like he was weird and more different then other kids. He never really liked loud noises or playing with people his age and was always a picky eater when it came to certain food textures. This would cause him to get picked on a lot and the only person he openly talked about it with was david, and david (because i crave more brotherly fluff between these two) would just sit with javi and offer his best support.

Speaking of david, i could totally see little javi infodumping about all his special interests to david and david would just sit there and smile the whole time while also forgetting half of what he's talking about because of how fast he would speak.

I also see javi stimming in multiple ways. (e.g chewing on different stuff like pencils and his own shirt, humming to himself, rocking back and forth and rapidly tapping his feet.)

(AND LIKE IMAGINE DAVID GIVING JAVI NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES IN CASE HE GOT OVERSTIMULATED AND JAVI WOULD JUST GATHER HIM IN THE TIGHTEST BEAR HUG EVER.)

But as javi and david grew older and their relationship began to crumble, i imagine javi would start to feel more ashamed of himself and would desperately try to hide his autistic traits, such as stims and sensitivty to loud noises (at least whenever he was in public). And as the apocalypse began it got even worse (escpecially when the events of ANF happen.)

Thinking about how after Javi gave Gabe Mariana’s tape player Gabe would look for batteries and then listen to the music in hopes of feeling that connection to his sister. His arms would wrap around his legs as he listens to the music and mourns his little sister wishing she was here with him but instead all he has is this tape player and a few songs.

I just realized out of all the Garcias, Kate is the only one that doesn’t have a defined relationship with Clementine. Do they even have any scenes together where they interact one on one, I don’t think so?

It’s just like…yeah Kate and Clem sure know the other exist

Idk makes me kinda sad, I wish we got to see Kate and Clem talking a lil bit, maybe Kate could’ve been a cool auntie figure for Clem idk
