February Horoscopes: Romance & Reality
February will be a transitioning month from all of the heavy energy in January. More planets have moved away from Capricorn, but we still have three there. This month will bring our first Mercury Retrograde of the year, a Juno Retrograde and Venus will enter a Fire Sign. This planet will also be in Retrograde a few months from now. Expand on your creativity with the Venus and Neptune conjunction or just feel a little bit of the romance in the air on Valentine’s Day. Aquarius Season promises to be interesting this year and Pisces Season will bring on the same.
Aries – Venus will be in your sign early this month, giving you that sense of confidence that you have desired for quite some time. As the month progresses there will be some challenges when it comes to communicating as you will retreat to your mind but will struggle to let known what you want. With Mercury Retrograding in the sign of Pisces, this will definitely make you want to stay away from the limelight as you become more contemplative. The Nine of Swords in the Reverse is your card for the month, foretelling that you will be released from whatever traumatic events are holding you back. Once more, you will step into the light and begin to fight for what you want as that is part of the Aries nature thanks to the energy from the Full Moon in Leo lifting your spirits during this month. Your motivation and drive will be your crowning achievement as Mars shifts into Capricorn, making you top boss. When the Sun shifts into Pisces, you will feel more energy and happiness as you prepare just one more month for your season.
Taurus – Your ability to relate and engage others will be favorable for you this month. The Pisces energy will motivate you and bring inspiration to any creative endeavors you will take. When Venus enters Aries, you might either feel the benefits of this transit of the chaos. Venus will help alleviate your worries as you feel more accepting of what is to come. You will be bracing yourself for the Full Moon in Leo, allowing you to focus on the importance of sprucing up your home. During this transit you will have an urge to make changes, to bring more comfort and joy that will translate for the next couple of months. When Mercury goes Retrograde in Pisces, you will experience seeing a lot of people from the past who will make their way back in to help boost your confidence or your networking skills. Finally, the impact of Mars in Capricorn will boost your confidence and drive to get things done. It will be beneficial for you because it will help guide you and remind you of what you want. The Ten of Pentacles is your card for the month, signaling to abundance and prosperity making its way to you. A great reminder that anything is possible as long as you have the right mindset and put in the effort.
Gemini – February will give you a taste of what will come when we enter Gemini Season. The Juno Retrograde in fellow air sign, Libra will have everyone worrying and doubting the sustainability of their partnerships. Some of the themes we see now will be repeated during the Venus Retrograde in the summer that will be in Gemini. For now, you will experience a lot of fun and thrills with Venus in Aries, making you the star of the show just briefly. With the Full Moon in Leo, you will benefit a lot from this transit, allowing you to make choices you have been putting off as well as rekindling missed connections with those from your past. Mercury will go retrograde this month in Pisces, creating some tension with planning and career goals, but you will manage to get through this by practicing patience and control. The High Priestess in the Reverse is your card this month, urging you to become more in sync with your intuitive side. Do not fear it but learn to hone it. Meditation can not only help you bridge that gap but will also bring clarity and harmony during the retrograde chaos.
Cancer – This month will be riddled with many challenges and obstacles, but you have your head in the game and it will allow for you to navigate any issues. With Venus entering Aries you will be on the spotlight, and many will be enamored with your accomplishments. As long as you keep your dreams alive and the drive going, you will be unstoppable and will achieve anything you set your mind to. The Full Moon in Leo in the second week of the month will shift your focus to improving finances. If you play your cards right and add in more effort to your pending projects, your income could receive a much needed boost for the next couple of months as your desires and hopes will be highlighted during this transit. This is a month where you manifest your future and focus on ways to bring about your happiness and it is highlighted in your card for the month which is the Ten of Cups. Continue to fight for your dreams to become a reality as you will see the fruits of your labor unfold.
Leo – A lively month for you as you will feel the urge to connect and strengthen bonds. Venus is entering Aries and you are ready to embark on new things and take on new adventures. With Spring just a few months away, you might even feel inspired to take a trip and get away from the mundane. You are in your element this month with the Full Moon also in your sign, helping you to heal any wounds from the past. You are embracing this new version of yourself and feel ready to embark on greater and better things. With Mars entering the sign of Capricorn, your obsession with security might push you to put more effort into the things that you want. While you will be working hard, you will make sure to play harder. Just because you might feel like you are back to normal you, you should still try to be more cooperative with others since the Three of Cups in the Reverse is your card for the month. Play nice, be assertive but do not make others feel any less. Remember, you are the Aristocrat here to unite, not destroy.
Virgo – After a period of feeling like a hermit, you finally come into your power this month. Mars will be in fellow earth sign, Capricorn, sparking up some more drive in you. The Full Moon in Leo will highlight some changes that need to be made as you will go down memory lane and wonder if you should reconcile with someone from your past or just let things go and move on. The Saturn and Pluto conjunction might have felt like a Debbie Downer, cramping up your style, but Mars entering will help to liven the party. Venus in Aries will bring some intensity to your life as you may even encounter some interesting people in this transit but beware of committing to any passions just yet. As the month progresses, the Sun will enter Pisces, once again highlighting that romance zone. Keep your head in the game and make sure to analyze the situation before making any leaps because the Eight of Cups in the Reverse is your card for the month, showcasing that you have some unfinished business with someone from your past. Are you ready to cut the cords and move on?
Libra – It will be an interesting month for you when Juno goes Retrograde in your sign in the next few weeks. Commitment issues might come to light as well as topics relating to that. However, Venus in the sign of Aries will still help to rekindle your love and bring about an inspiring force with those you have interpersonal relationships with. This will be a month of work and action as Mars moves into Capricorn, once again adding pressure to your home base, but since you are already used to the energy, you will come out of this successful and with more insight. The Sun entering Pisces later this month will bring focus to your health, so you might be inspired to make some changes to your life in order to bring happiness and balance. With the Full Moon in Leo, it will be the perfect time to reconnect with others as well as make your mark on social media. Who knows, you might even have an influx of followers after this transit. Your card for the month is the Six of Swords in the Reverse which reflects your fears of the unknown. Things will change for the better as long as you are willing to let go of the past and see the future.
Scorpio – Pisces energy will prove to be favorable for you this month as the planets slowly begin to shift into your fellow water sign. Venus in Aries brings harmony to your daily routines and with the Full Moon in Leo, the refinement in your plans as well as the efforts that you have put into your career and goals will receive a much-deserved highlight and recognition. When Mars moves into Capricorn, this will benefit you more when it comes to success since you will be more confident when it comes to making decisions as well as planning. Everything now is setting up to something greater and all it takes is your confidence and drive to keep it going. Your card for the month is the Six of Wands in the Reverse reminding you not to limit yourself and to keep going stronger. Things will work out in your favor when you have faith and trust yourself.
Sagittarius – Many fire signs will enjoy Venus entering Aries early this month bringing some relaxation and changes. This is all preparing for the other great energy that will accompany the Full Moon in Leo, kickstarting new paths for many fire signs this year. The Full Moon will help shift your attitudes and elevate your mindset and will inspire a new passion that will allow for you to learn and grow. One conflicting drawback to this month will be Mars in Capricorn, once again intensifying how you view yourself and your foundation. Bring back the stability through mental preparation as well as planning. Do not let impulsive spending take over this month. With the Sun entering the sign of Pisces later this month, you will want to be reunited with family or close friends, adding to a very chill and relaxing feeling that will accompany you through the months of March. Your card for the month is the Two of Pentacles in the Reverse and this shows that you need to take some breaks and relax. Doing too much can only burn you our quicker. Do not be afraid to turn things down and saying no.
Capricorn – A change in energy this month will bring some new opportunities for you. Jupiter in your sign will help you keep some optimism and faith during these tough Saturn and Pluto transits that are also in your sign. The Full Moon in Leo this month will bring into light some changes that need to be made involving your outlook on many things. Letting go of past hurts will help you move forth. This healing energy will be felt some more when Venus enters Aries and you will have the opportunity to feel safe and comfort in your immediate environment. Tensions will cool down and then everything will kick back into gear when Mars enters your sign, pushing you to work as hard as you can and once again bringing four planets into your sign causing some chaos. This month, the Knight of Swords in the Reverse is your card, reminding you to take it easy, especially when Mars is in your sign. Look before you leap.
Aquarius – For you, the Full Moon in Leo will bring a sense of magic and fantasy in the air. The Month of Valentine’s will make us all want to tap into our romantic side and Venus in Aries making a harmonious aspect to your descendant is only helping to encourage it. Nevertheless, you will be able to develop more intimate bonds during this transit. We are still in your birthday season at the beginning of the month, moving through the heavy Saturn energy. Towards the middle of the month, you might feel lots when Mars enters Capricorn, bringing your energy to a halt for a bit. Use the time to contemplate your next steps. Finally, towards the end of the month, we are entering Pisces Season. Another step towards accomplishments and triumphs as you get your head in the game. It is no coincidence that the Queen of Wands is your card for the month since it shows your best qualities and your ability to connect and make changes through the collective.
Pisces – The end of February will bring your season and we have all been anxiously awaiting it. Venus entering Aries will bring you back to focus on helping you build a foundation that will keep you grounded for the next year. Do not let impulsive spending take over. Many people might look to you for decision making as you will show how witty you are during this transit. It can also help provide a diplomatic attitude when confronted with conflict. The Full Moon in Leo highlights your efforts and brings some clarity into how you are approaching your day to day challenges. This insight will serve as motivation and a lesson for the future. When the Sun enters your sign, there will be a relief in the air as we see more planets moving away from the Capricorn Stellium. Use your new position of influence to show just how generous you can be. The Six of Pentacles shows that you will be victorious but will also know how to share the wisdom with those who are looking up to you.

Wren Blakely; MARCH HOROSCOPES ↳ Star Seer issue #1
To those who’ve asked and to the others that didn’t there will be a three page booklet, handmade by Wren, tapped to the doorways of each house here at camp. It is a simple black aesthetics with hand doodles of constellations along with with the moon cycle of the month. You open the first page to read---
“Greeting demigods, creatures, man or beast I welcome you to your first step towards the cosmic light and the introduction to what the stars whisper about above. I know after what feels like a year of retrogrades and eclipses we get to usher in this season with a gentle cleansing of our fishly sister, Pisces. As Pisces is now in command, the sign of spirituality, gentleness, forgiveness, and compassion. She’s ready to help us mend our hearts and smooth our jagged edges and feel less quilty about that midnight pint of icecream we had. Are you willing to heal? Do you need a hug this month? Now is a time to take a second and process the powerful changes that has happened at the start of this year and exhale...This month is a month to be reminded of our compassions as the new and full moons activate loving Venus, dreamy Neptune, and healing Chiron. Look up to the sky and open your arms...you’ll be surprised who’s there to embrace you if you do. “
ARIES: This month begins with the sun in a spiritual and reflective zone until your day in march. Last month was fairly hectic, but the coming weeks bring a chance to mull over all that has happened, come to some conclusions, find some answers, and tie up loose ends. Maybe big news about your birthright has shaken you up or maybe you’ve been searching for other answers and they are on the tip of your tongue. This month as Mars your ruler passes through Gemini, take a page from their book and meditate on the questions you seek. Journaling might not be your pace but reflection can stick longer if you spend the time to write it down.
TAURUS: The sun and friendly Venus in your social sector bring opportunities for greater connection and linking up with kindred spirits. The weeks until the twentieth are perfect for reaching out to others who share your ideas and morals, their good sign that it’s your time to step out and make connections. There’s a new moon on the 13th that speaks of harmony, maybe this is a chance to take those first steps towards those big dreams of yours. You don’t need to do it alone! (even if you normally want to) Pisces is the time to lean on those who you call your family or friends, let some gentleness in compared to your stubborn style.
GEMINI: This month is your month to sieze what you want and try not to pussyfoot around it, this is your chance to showcase your best assets and let others see you in action. Both Mercury and Mars are pulling strongly in your sign this month; mercury in Pisces on the 15th,you’ll have more of a platform to share your ideas and opinions & Mars on the 3rd giving you a bit more energy in your various interest. Don’t waste that, let all the thoughts and ideas and concerns be let loos this month. Pisces is the sign of forgiveness so don’t worry if that tongue of yours steps on a few toes (better to ask for forgiveness than permission right?)
CANCER: You might be ready to try something new. This month encourages you to be bold and step out of your comfort zone. If you feel limited by your beliefs, this is the time to think outside the box. Mars & Venus heavily influence this month, this blend of energies can gift you with the charm and people skills to take things to the next level. In addition, reaching out to those on your wavelength might strike up new connections you weren’t expecting.
LEO: You’re on a roll, and it looks like being around other people is helping you get your act together. “The more the merrier” may have been your motto last month. However, this month, you might need some quiet time to reflect on all that has happened and draw a few conclusions. This month the sun is influencing your more private zones of you Leo, Mercury and Mars are both in opposite elements of you. Learn from Pisces this month and embrace the quiet, meditate, take a moment to reflect. Life isn’t always a party sometimes you’ll need to spend time cleaning up to look forward to the next.
VIRGO: Slow moving sun and a sultry Venus, is an opportunity to iron out any wrinkles in your life right now. If you and your partner, friend, or lovers have had any issues, this is a good time to look more deeply into them and find a compromise that works for both of you. Likwise, with a focus on the dreamy sign of Pisces this month, it can also be about defining the relationship and your role within it. Ask your what are we, where am I going, who do I want to be this month. You might be surprised by the answers but you can’t control anything until you can define it...isn’t that right Virgo?
LIBRA: Are you ready to learn something new, Libra? Assertive Mars moves into lively Gemini on March 3, so your curiosity could ramp up. You might find training that are relevant to your current needs and be eager to enroll. You might also be drawn to join new hobbies or be taught by someone who interests you. New information can be your fix and you could get hooked, so be careful with casting too wide of a net. This month is less about being a jack of all trade but more of a devout student to a new craft. Now learning something new doesn’t always need to have a purpose, reminder that Venus is strong this month and shines brightly on you Libra. Perhaps this month you can learn a few things more intimately if you care to....
SCORPIO: Scorpio, the coming weeks are perfect for enjoying life whenever you have the opportunity. And if you have creative talents, this period is helpful for making the most of them. Your water sister Pisces influences dreams and creativity, take a moment to tap into that and let yourself benefit from it. This month is the calm before the storm, as the follow month will intensify affecting your finances,  deep-seated emotions, or patterns that are hidden from view. Armed with this information, you can begin to make changes and prepare.
SAGITTARIUS: The month begins with the sun, lovely Venus, and ethereal Neptune in shinning in your chart. You may find yourself in a contemplative mood, and it would pay to take time out to enjoy some nurturing. This could be on a physical as well as a mental and emotional level. If you are searching for specific nurturing pay attention to the a full moon on March 28, feelings could surface, and you and others may be edgier than usual. But there is also the potential to clear the air and perhaps share more romantic feelings if you’re ready. Pisces allows everyone to search the depths of themselves, I encourage you to explore those depths with someone else beside you.
CAPRICORN: Venus is harmonious with you this month over speech and thought. Which means this is a good time for all kinds of negotiations, meetings, and connecting with others who share your goals and interests. Be thorough this month, more than you naturally are, as Pisces being such a dreamy sign, it would pay to examine the fine print in some depth. Don’t leave anything to chance. Use this month to seize what you want and not to leave anything to chance.
AQUARIUS: There continues to be a strong emphasis on your sign this month since the start of this year was a coming of an age...and with that come plenty of opportunities to kick-start your favorite plans and projects. However, with the sun in poking around in your wealth along with sweet Venus and dreamy Neptune, your thoughts may be on how you can better manage your money. You might have the urge to give it away or spend it on pampering treats, and both are fine as long as you can still pay the bills and have enough left over for unexpected expenses. Money can buy you dreams but be wise and remind yourself of your future this month.
PISCES: As the month gets underway, the sun continues in your sign along with luscious Venus and dreamy Neptune. The first three weeks could find you eager to express yourself and focus on those plans and projects that resonate with your nature and purpose. The more you do what you love to do, the happier you can be. Like many signs the first full moon of this month screams new beginnings...so be sure to use this opportunity for a fresh start. This lunar phase is the best of the year for you. It’s a good time to set your intentions for the coming months, begin wholesome habits, and get moving on your biggest plans.

NYR: February in review.
Post-February horoscope: “I am learning everyday to allow the space between where I am and where I want to be, to inspire me and not terrify me.”
Another big month, but with a lot of brightness, a lot of moments of joy and excitement for the future. I’m not sure I dare to speak the words, but maybe 2021 will be a good year for me. Here are some things that have happened:
got furniture. As of today I put up the last of it and the place is looking great. It’s so exciting to see our home forming around us. There’s maybe a handful of minor things to get and then we’re going to start putting up art, possibly later this month. I’m very keen for that.
read new books. Only a couple, but one is the goal, so this is a distinct success.
ran another game of Dread! This is a big one and I’m very proud ofit. I ripped it off like a bandaid: I gave myself like two days of planning and then ran it, which was a wild experience but really helpful as far as building confidence as a GM. I had to make a lot of it up on a fly and react very dynamically with player choices, but overall everyone had fun and I’ll be running this same game again in a few weeks for some other friends, so I’m going to tinker and improve it for the next pass.
set up a ko-fi. This still feels a bit surreal, but also very exciting. I’ve been thinking about it for a long time and I’ve finally committed to doing it--primarily because I’ve been stuck for a while between doing what I do for fun and for the benefit of myself and others, but also I do want to make something of a career out of what I do and I need to start getting used to actually putting a monetary price and value on my time and skill and effort, etc., which is something I’m currently struggling with a lot, and ko-fi felt like the best compromise. Someone even donated the other day--what a rush.
wrote letters. Not as many as I planned to, but some is better than none!
started regular exercise. I’m feeling very good about it. It’s nice to be feeling more positive about having a body. It’s becoming something I look forward to, especially since I put on an Attenborough documentary as background noise, and I’m thinking eventually I might actually take up going to the gym, since there’s one just around the corner now.
writing. I’ve been doing it! And I’ve been really enjoying it. I have some specific goals I want to work towards now that I’m feeling more in touch with it again, and I’m looking forward to finishing up some of the projects I’m working on soon too.
got a surprising amount of money. Something else that feels totally surreal and is very wonderful. We love a windfall, especially when it means buying a place inches closer as an option for the future.
playing Planet Zoo. Not a goal, really, but this past month I completed the entire campaign on gold star level, which is apparently something only 1.2% of players do, which feels nice. It’s been so fun to finally really get into this game and have a totally different avenue from creativity than the writing-based stuff I’m used to.
doing well with the program. Not a lot to say, except that I’m happy.
talking to a boy. We started talking at the very beginning of February and it’s been genuinely nice. We’ll be meeting up later in March.
still being social. Catching up with lots of friends now that we’re all basically in the same area again, which is so great.
In March, I will:
run another game of Dread. Already guaranteed, the victims are booked in.
got some much-needed equipment. Already did this, but still. I got some wrist rests for using my laptop since I’ve been suffering a bit from jank joints and RSI, and just yesterday got some proper running shoes to better support my poor feets when I go out walking. Also got new bed linen, which was overdue.
read at least one book. But hopefully more.
write some of the first thesis chapter. No word count, but I’ve got work hours blocked out and I want to stick to those.
write more. Specifically I’d like to finish up (or at least get close to finishing up) on the major WIP I’ve been working on, and progress on some other projects as much as possible.
go on a date. With myself! To the zoo! I’m so excited, I’ve been thinking about it for ages. I’m treating myself to an annual pass, so I’m thinking this will become a regular day out for me. But also I do have a second, different date with a boy planned.
send letters. Write to the friends who haven’t been written to yet.
set up a website. One of these months I’ll actually do it. It stays on the list until then.
go for a massage. I’ve been meaning to for absolutely months at this point--and when I was packing to move a while back, I discovered a tin full of birthday and Christmas money that I’d apparently hidden away from myself, so I’ve decided that’s going to be my massage slush fund for this year. Time to actually use it!

Hockey Horoscopes
March 21st - April 19th - The Captain
at the end of the day The Captain only has one job that’s written down -- talking to the ref. Don’t like a penalty? Don’t like a missed penalty? don’t agree with a no goal call? well you literally can’t change their mind because it’s almost against the rules for the refs to do so, but you get to be the one to yell at them about it anyway. Are you actually a good leader? maybe. but it doesn’t matter. for you it’s about yelling. and making sure the rookies have their names written on their lunchboxes.
April 20th - May 20th - The Selke Winner
A player who wins the Selke will always be underrated. They could win the Hart and they’d still be underrated. Why? Because they fucking score and play defense? literally no other type of player does this. Is being relied on like this stressful as hell? sure but someone’s gotta do it. In some ways you enjoy it. Yeah it kind of sucks but at least if you’re doing it, you can try not to fuck up. No one else is trustworthy enough.
May 21 - June 20 - Trade Bait
A lot of the time the team doesn’t even want to trade you they just really want a first round pick and your name gets stapled to whatever package is being sent for it. Which team will you be on next month? who knows but jerseys are really expensive and you pretty much have all of them at this point, that’s just good economics. Someone who is trade bait has inherent value that’s proven over and over again but this can end up making you feel more like a possession than a person and you constantly struggle with your identity and your concept of personhood because of it.
June 21 - July 22 - The Bro
Summers are for fishing, golfing, dogs, and posting shirtless pics to instagram. Can real life have homo erotic subtext? ask the picture you posted at 5 am this morning of you messily hanging over another player on someone’s boat. Some think you don’t take your work seriously but of course you do because how else would you buy all your snapbacks? They’re not cheap these days. Do you bank on people finding your personality overexaggerated and a little fake as a way to keep them from knowing and therefore judging the real you? Probably. but hey, you’ve only been traded twice for off ice conduct and you haven’t had a scandal in three months. you’re doing fine.
July 23rd - August 22 - Good Ol’ Canadian Boy
Remember that time you yelled at an old lady in the grocery store? Doesn’t matter cause literally no body else does. You’re good boy image has done that for you. All you gotta do is say the same three things in every interview and all the 40-80 year olds who watch hockey will love you and at the end of the day, that’s 90% of people who watch hockey so you’re good. Does your lack of individuality and the constant pressure for you to be The Savior wear on you and cause you to make impulsive and stupid decisions? Oh for sure, but no one will hold it against you. or maybe they will. Your life is kind of just like an exciting game of reputation roulette.
August 23rd - September 22nd - 4th Line Enforcer
No one has to ask you to bloody your knuckles for your team, you’ll do it any day of the week. Your teammates all love you, they fetch your food and drinks for you. They clean up your locker for you and your goalie even lets you score during practice. You just can’t shake the feeling though that people do nice things for you as part of a transaction where you pay them back by beating the shit out of any guy that takes a run at them. You protecting those you’re closets with is of utmost importance, and you know they appreciate it. But you also know at the end of the day loyalty can only go so far and when it comes time for your GM to trim the fat off the salary cap, you’re first to go. but hey, during your first game back that rookie you took under your wing who’s now a full grown man will make eye contact with you, and for a split second you’ll remember why all of this was all worth it.
September 23rd - October 22nd - The Lone American
Maybe you’re patriotic or maybe you couldn’t give a shit but the truth remains that you are alone on a team in the middle of Alberta with 99% canadians. Your only confidant is your finnish d partner and the video review coach’s assistant, Jeremy, who just graduated from UMich and even he  says “about” funny. Because of this you take every opportunity to repeat the miracle monologue and you insist on stopping at every dunkin donuts you come within a 50 mile radius from. You’re not used to being the odd man out but now that you are, you find that you are almost regretfully being proud of something you previously didn’t connect with. Did you know all the lyrics to the anthem before? nope but now you do if only to sing along loudly enough to piss off everyone else on the team plane wondering why you’re standing in the aisle with your hand over your heart. You may need to stop defining yourself by the things that make you different from others, before you sever the bonds completely. Until then, do you believe in Miracles? YES!
October 23rd - November 21st - The Rat
The Commish has you on speed dial and your coach made a soundboard so they didn’t lose their voice yelling at you all game. You spend your free time studying the greats, the founding fathers of trash talk. Being the one everyone loves to hate has become so much your identity that you may forget every now and then that you’re not just an entertainer, you’re a person. In between making cooing noises at opponents and criticizing hair cuts of your teammates try to say one genuine thing. Just at all. Before you lose yourself entirely in the persona.
November 22nd - December 21st - Second Line Centre
Sure people usually follow up your name by saying “...makes how much?” but you’re worth it goddamnit. Not everyone lead the league in playoff goals in the 2014 season even though your team didn’t win that year RIP. Despite doing your best at every turn you never can seem to really please anyone. You’re stuck in the shadow of someone you consider a life long friend and have to constantly surround yourself with good people and good words to not grow to resent your space. Those who like you, like you for your easiness and your work ethic. But remember, there’s nothing wrong with an over celebration and patting yourself on the back every now and then.
December 22nd - January 19th - The Vet
Welcome to the big leagues kid, work hard and you may find a home here... is what you usually say to others when they enter your locker room. You care and you take things seriously because that’s just the right thing to do. But you also can realize the importance of real life over a game you play for money. Your head is on your shoulders and you have a life time experience under your belt and you aren’t even 50 yet. So that’s pretty cool. But as one chapter ends and another begins, don’t forget what excitement and exhilaration feel like.
January 20th - February 18th - The University Graduate
Sure a lot of your teammates went to school, the american ones mostly, but almost none of them actually got their degree. Why should they? they’re making bank. Unfortunately for them but mostly you, they’re all fucking dumb jock meatheads and make fun of you for reading. You only got your Bachelor’s with a straight B average, but these guys make you feel like you got your PhD when you were 17. “You went to Harvard?” They ask in awe, as if you didn’t get in solely on your athletics scholarship. Try not to let your own academic success get to your head though, Kindness and compassion are a lot more valuable in the long run and you’d be surprised by what dumbass jocks have to say. or probably not. but i’m trying to make a point about how academia does not equal = intelligence. to again make another point about how when we’re surrounded by people with different values than us we may begin to feel superior when really we should take the opportunity to learn from them as much as they learn from us. this is all fun and games folks.
February 19th - March 20th - Almost Joined a Punk Band
None of your tattoos are lions or include your own last name/family crest, you’re too original for that. As a kid you used to dream of being on a stage more than you dreamed of raising the stanley cup, but hey in world juniors you scored an OT goal and got to play air guitar as your celly so it’s kind of the same thing. Your parents were iffy about you playing a sport with the same type of kids who would have bullied you in high school but you stand on your own. But you made friends by teaching your teammates how to play the guitar. So sure you’re the odd man out but people like you. and you know what it’s like to be judged, so your open minded attitude draws people to you naturally. Just make sure you don’t trust too much because that open and creative attitude can turn into you being jaded, washed up, and wishing you actually did join a punk band insted.

The Walking Dead Actors Relationship Compatibility Readings Based on The Secret Language Of Relationships Concept (Part 1) (Over 90% Accurate!)
Tumblr media
What Is Secret Language?
The Secret Language scientific personality reports have proven to be over 90% accurate after 21 years in use by millions of people in a dozen languages worldwide. Our data comes from Gary Goldschneider’s 40-year empirical study of the life stories of more than 20,000 people, analyzed by date of birth. Gary looked at 50 people born on your birthday and found the personality traits held in common by 45 of them. Then he created personality profiles from those traits for each day, week, month, season and year and I further combined those profile names into the ultimate distillation of your personality - your Secret Language Name.
The Personality Periods
The forty-eight personality periods, made up of twelve cusps and thirty six weeks, are units between six and nine days in length. Personology predicts the personality characteristics of anyone born within these dates. In other words, those born in the same period will share certain predictable character traits. While this may not completely represent ever individual, it is sufficient to provide an understanding of his or her basic energies. Extrapolating from the personology periods, it is possible to predict the nature of the relationship between any two people. Thus, The Secret Language Of Relationships combines each period of the year with itself and every other period to predict the nature of the resulting relationship. For example, a person born on March 31 falls into the Aries I period. This is the Week of the Child which symbolizes the freshness and openness of early childhood and of the spring season (lasting from March 25 to April 1). People born during this time are characterized by a childlike, enthusiastic orientation. This in contrast to a person born on November 10, who would be a Scorpio II (encompassing November 3 to 11). Born in the fall, which is symbolically likened to middle age, this week takes Depth as its central symbol. Thus, it becomes possible to consider the theoretical implications of an Aries I-Scorpio II relationship.

Which Are The Best Combinations For You?
Conventional sun sign astrology has maintained that in general the best signs for you are ones that are trine to your sun sign (120 degrees away from your sign in the zodiac). In fact, this means that the signs that are of the same element as yours. In other words, if you are a Taurus (an earth sign), things should go well with Virgo and Capricorn, the other two earth signs. Similarly, all three water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), the three air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius), and the three fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are recommended to each other. Although this theory makes sense, it does not always work in practice, particularly when it comes to sustaining interest over a long period of time. In fact, it often seems that the best combinations are ones that sun sign astrology rarely suggests: the two signs on either side of and the opposite of yours. For example, if you are a Taurus, it is not necessarily the other two earth signs but rather the sign before yours, Aries, the sign after yours, Gemini, and the sign opposite of yours, Scorpio, that are. good bet and your favourites. In The Secret Language Of Relationships the situation is much more complex, since there are not only five types of each sign but also at least five different areas of life in which relationships can manifest themselves. Making any hard and fast rules is difficult. However, if you look at the descriptions of your period, you will find a list of the best periods for you to get involved with in each  of the categories, a list that has been culled from the results found in the forty eight matchups. Once you begin to embrace personology and work with The Secret Language Of Birthdays and Relationships, you may be interested to see which types of people you tend to be involved with. Observe your relationships past and present. You might find, as we did, that many of the people in your life are frequently born in the same weeks of the year. In other words, we are attracted to the same personality types and combinations, over and over again.
How The Relationships Are Revealed
Four primary but different tools were used to create the relationships profiles or combinations. The first was to draw a bead on what the relationship between two people is all about, its main energies or focus. This was crafted based on a traditional astrological tool called “the composite chart”, a fascination method propounded and endorsed by astrologer Robert Hand. It involves synthesis, in which a combination horoscope is made from the two originals. This composite chart is built up from a series of midpoints between the planets of the two individual charts. The composite or midpoint method creates a new chart for the relationship itself; it is viewed asa a new entity, with its own character, strengths and weaknesses: a synergy, if you will, of each person’s traits. Also employed was another traditional astrological tool called synastry. This second method involves examining both partners’ individual characteristics and comparing them point by point for compatibility. Thus we go from viewing the relationship as a discrete entity in itself to focusing on the individuals and their interaction. The third method used was to create an imaginary psychodrama, in which hypothetical individuals from two periods were allowed to interact. For example, by placing a theoretical prototype of a Gemini II and Scorpio III in a variety of situations (domestic, professional, intimate, etc.), their interaction could be viewed and studied psychologically. Finally, the biographical as well as personal information about well known couples and those personally known to the authors provided a reliable source of insight and most interesting observations. The relationship profiles presenting their core energies and tendencies were created. However, these could be applied to many different kinds of relationships, son. decision was made to look at five of those relationship types.
The Five Relationship Categories
Love
Under this category are included intimate relationships ranging from platonic to sexual in nature. It should be noted that love means different things to different people. In addition, ever type of relationship probably involves some sort of love, to a greater or lesser extent. Yet to call a mother-son relationship, a sibling matchup or a friendship a love relationship does not seem appropriate. Therefore, love is used as the name of this category, without implying in any way that it lays claim to the emotion exclusively. Traditionally, a love affair is considered by psychologists as an entity limited in duration and more likely than not to eventually disintegrate, perhaps due to a lack of social commitment, involvement and support. These relationships tend to be characterized by an emotional intensity that may be difficult to sustain and an absence of reality-based thinking on the part of the partners. Many love relationships are kept hidden because of fear of disapproval or rejection, often familial in nature. The fact that such relationships tend not to have a realistic basis does not make them less likely to occur; on the contrary, it is often the incongruous and unimaginable that precipitates them taking place. Sexual attraction is discussed in this category for the most part. Yet romantic feelings are not in any way restricted to the erotic, and some romance can manifest itself in many of the personlogy combinations that have little to do with physicality. In most love relationships, psychological projection, replaying scripts from childhood, acting out, and a whole host of emotions including jealousy, anger, a desire to dominate and control, nurturing and protective impulses, violence, narcissism, idolatry and even worship struggle for the ascendancy. Maddening, exalting, thrilling, frustrating, the promise of love continues to drive human beings into these situations in their search for the perfect partner.
Marriage
In an age in which over half the marriages end in divorce, it is puzzling why so many people still get married. What is even more puzzling is why they take the oath to love each other exclusively in the light of statistics of infidelity. Yet marriage is a powerful social institution and the raising of children within the conjugal family unit is still the widely accepted norm. The Secret Language Of Relationships considers that the question of whether two people are suited for one another maritally is of vital importance, particularly if children are to be involved. Moreover, it cannot be assumed that love is always the main motivating factor in marriage or the one that holds such units together. The emphasis on this area is on pointing out matchup strengths having to do with shared values that are of a more practical, financial, social, intellectual and aesthetic nature.
Friendship
Deep friendships has elements of love and marriage built into it. Two friends can be extremely self-sufficient and not in need of much external input. Should such friends also be engaged in a professional ventures with each other, they may in fact spend much more time together than lovers or spouses. If one makes a list of close friends, it is quite likely that their birthdays are not spread out equally around the year but are clumped into certain areas. The Secret Language of Relationships does its best to alert the reader to certain combinations that can prove highly beneficial in the sphere of friendship and others that, although attractive, had best not be developed.
Family
The family relationships most often discussed are parent-child and sibling combinations, although grandparents and more distant relatives are also mentioned occasionally. Here, some of the most possessive and destructive drives of human beings come out, whereby many parents are all too prone to push their children to make up for their own failures and inadequacies. Parents and children are urged to build bonds of trust and acceptance, because sooner or later, they will have to confront their problems and come to some sort of peace with each other.
Work
Most work relationships are fortuitous; two individuals are thrown together in an office or other work unit and have to make the best of it. However, it may be useful for personnel officers to check both The Secret Language of Birthdays and The Secret Language of Relationships for a quick hit on whether two people have compatible personalities, In the work category, The Secret Language Of Relationships considers co-workers, boss-employee pairs, administrative colleagues, business partners, entrepreneurs, and freelancers as categories worthy of special recommendation or warning. Also, certain work relationships are more likely to develop into productive friendships than others.

Freedom From Dependency
The Week of the Literalist, Sep. 11-18 ─── with ─── The Week of Acceptance, Feb. 8-15
A curious dynamic emerges here: a need to be supported and nurtured conflicts with an equal need for independence. Overall, however, the relationship’s energy is beneficial to both partners. Week of Acceptance people often derive inspiration and strength from Week of the Literalist individuals, who will sometimes have preceded them down the road they are traveling; but the benefits they receive from the relationship may become habituating, and their reliance on their partner can become a bad case of overdependency. Somewhat paradoxically, they will be able to turn to Week of the Literalist people’s wisdom to help them in their struggle for autonomy within the relationship. Week of the Literalist individuals, too, have much to learn here, though their lessons will be more absorbed than struggled over. In their own way, they can be quite rigid, and they could learn something from Week of Acceptance persons about the freedom they might find by accepting things as they are and moving on. Week of the Literalist people’s patience will be necessary in love affairs if Week of Acceptance individuals become starry-eyed over them. Instability can be found in this relationship. Maintaining a kind of dynamic equilibrium of feeling will be a principal challenge here. In marriages, too, those born during the Week of Acceptance will need to come into their own as equal partners. The relationship usually gives them the chance to do so. Siblings and friends in this combination, especially when of the same sex, will have a rough time of it in childhood through their habit of unfavorable mutual comparisons. Angry arguments, including physical confrontations, will not be unusual in these cases and in fact may be expected. As the two mature, however, they grow much closer and can achieve mutual respect as they free themselves from childhood roles. Career connections require sensitivity from both partners if they are to avoid power struggles and promote equality. Since Week of Acceptance people are prone to seeing Week of the Literalist individuals as role models, they must beware of falling too much under their influence. As a result, boss-employee relationships are less recommended here than co-worker or colleague matchups.

Battling For Ascendancy
The Week of Prophecy, Dec. 19-25 ─── with ─── The Week of Determination, Jan. 3-9
It may be very difficult for these two to reach a point of compromise. Each arouses the other’s ambitious side, so that their relationship is taken up with a lust for power, money or control. Such desires are often purely selfish, but they can be highly effective in helping this pair to achieve goals that are beneficial to them both, and to the groups to which they may belong, particularly familial ones. This relationship is very shrewd, able to judge when opportunities are ripe and when it is wiser to wait. Points of contention between Cusp of Prophecy individuals and Week of Determination people may be numerous, but they are usually related to what can be a frightening struggle for power. The relationship is often lopsided to begin with, as the powerful Cusp of Prophecy individual or Week of Determination person takes the lead and scoops up his or her less highly advantaged partner from a lower social or economic stratum. Week of Determination folks, however, derive great strength from the relationship, and are soon able to challenge their partner for the dominant position. The outcome is difficult to predict, but one thing is sure: in a struggle like this one, no one gives up easily.  Love affairs, alas, may also be largely about power. Favors in intimacy can be awarded or withheld at will, and quite ruthless emotional manipulation may be practiced in order to exercise control. Marriages between those born during the Cusp of Prophecy and their Week of Determination partners tend to be highly ambitious and try to climb as high as possible in their social sphere, accumulating money and power on the way. Such relationships can be enduring, cohesive and purposeful, although lacking in the development of human or spiritual qualities.Friends in this combination are too often prone to using each other for their own ends. Selfish in the extreme, neither of these individuals is likely to stick around when sacrifice is demanded. Professional matchups between these two may be highly successful, particularly in the financial sphere, marred only occasionally by a Cusp of Prophecy person’s flakiness and a Week of Determination individual’s overreaching.

Breaking Down Walls
The Week of the Star, Apr. 3-10 ─── with ─── The Week of Determination, Jan. 3-9
Many walls to intimacy will have to be broken down, and personal defenses breached, if this relationship is to succeed. As a result, the relationship has an oddly prickly side, a sore spot, if you will, which, if pressed, can cause flare-ups of tension. Love affairs and romance between Aries II and Capricorn II can be strongly sensual and romantic yet also incredibly intense and passionate. On one hand, the romance between a Week of Determination partner and Week of the Star partner can be very sentimental, tender, affectionate and loving. On the other, a romance between these two can be burning hot, intensely passionate and highly sexual in nature. The key to having a successful love affair or relationship between these two would be to find a balance. When it comes to love and marriage between these two, striving rather than strife should be the keyword here. If both Aries II and Capricorn II partners keep their respect for each other, they may spur each other on to epically new levels of sensitivity and awareness. Week of Determination people will enjoy having a highly independent partner in the Week of the Star, and a Week of the Star individual fits the bill very nicely. But independent though Week of the Star people are, they also need lots of love and attention and to be needed, and this particular desire may not be filled by a Week of Determination person, who may often be away from home, whether at work or socializing with friends. At work, Week of Determination folks certainly meet their match in Week of the Star people. These two can be excellent work or business partners, but by the same token they also make challenging competitors and formidable adversaries. Being co-workers at the same job level is not recommended for them, in fact, since each will tend to struggle to get ahead at the other’s expense. When it comes to career, neither of these two is above taking unfair advantage of a situation to further their cause, and in a business dispute where there can only be one winner, neither will surrender without a fight. In a marriage, between the Week of the Star and the Week of the Determination partners, this kind of contentiousness may actually advance the relationship’s longevity, since both parties hate to admit failure. Even the most combative of marital relationships, then, may go on for years. As siblings or parent-child duos, Week of Determination and Week of the Star family members are likely to fall into predictable patterns of bickering, strife or in extreme cases all-out combat.

A Search For Meaning
The Week of Beauty, Sep. 19-24 ─── with ─── The Week of the Ruler, Dec. 26-Jan. 2
Natural feelings and attitudes predominate in this free and easy relationship. In many ways liberating, the Cusp of Beauty–Week of the Ruler matchup can powerfully influence both partners in their search for meaning in life, and also in their self-development. Thus Cusp of Beauty people learn a great deal from their Week of the Ruler partners, who, in turn, benefit tremendously from the aesthetic influences of Cusp of Beauty individuals, which can open up whole new worlds for them. Romance is possible between these two; it will seldom be of the wilder sort, yet it will be more uninhibited than either partner is used to. Week of the Ruler people will be enchanted by their Cusp of Beauty partners but, unfortunately, will also regard them as possessions. Cusp of Beauty individuals can only be flattered to a point, and will back off if they feel claimed or controlled. In marriage, they benefit from Week of the Ruler people’s practicality and common sense. They will not be dissatisfied with playing a supporting role, but must beware that their own personalities are not swallowed up by the relationship. As friends, these two enjoy taking courses together that lead to mutual self-improvement, whether commercial, physical or artistic. A common hobby often emerges that unites the pair and becomes the basis of the relationship. Cusp of Beauty folks should not be surprised at Week of the Ruler people’s thriftiness but should edge the relationship away from a stingy attitude that can limit its possibilities and inhibit creativity. Parent-child relationships can be extremely favorable, with both partners sharing, learning and growing together. Artistic and spiritual bonds may be formed here that continue into adult life. In the work sphere, Week of the Ruler persons tend to think they are omniscient, a trait that, if encountered on a daily basis, will grate on the nerves of Cusp of Beauty individuals. These two relate best as independent colleagues or freelancers who touch base occasionally to share their thoughts and observations.

Practical Dreams
The Week of Leadership, Aug. 11-18 ─── with ─── The Week of Determination, Jan. 3-9
This relationship is most fulfilled when ideas are brought down from loftier realms and grounded as realities. These two are specialists at achieving their dreams, and their highly practical intelligence prejudices results in their favor and guarantees success. They are capable of giving up a lot in order to get where they want to go. By learning to do without and subjecting themselves to strict discipline, they slowly build willpower and self-confidence. The road to success for this relationship is made up of many tiny steps, but the march toward the goal is unrelenting. Love affairs between Week of Leadership and Week of Determination individualss take time to develop. Their passion is not immediately overwhelming, but grows as the relationship deepens and bonds of trust are formed. It is important to this couple that their love be recognized and taken seriously by family and friends. Whether or not they are married is less important than their mutual commitment—in fact, marriage is unlikely to change their relationship much. Taking absolute responsibility for one’s actions is a given in this matchup. It is usually best for lovers, mates and friends in this combination to have separate careers. They can help each other out from time to time, but they should have their own primary professional interest. If they do become co-workers or business partners, Week of Leadership and Week of Determination individuals do best when they avoid the personal realm, so that they can give all their energy to the job at hand. Week of Leadership people are usually attentive and caring parents to Week of Determination children but tend to dominate their lives. Adolescence generally brings the usual separation between parent and child, but this may take the form of Week of Determination kids firmly bidding their Week of Leadership parents farewell and going off on their own, rather than growing rebellious.

Too Good To Be True
The Week of the Seeker, Jun. 11-18 ─── with ─── The Week of the Empath, Jun. 25-Jul. 2
The Week of the Seeker–Week of the Empath relationship has a magical quality that at times seems too good to be true. Rarely arousing envy, it instead seems to make many of those around it happy, perhaps because they are enchanted by its near-fairy-tale quality. One might expect a certain air of unreality here, but actually a realistic approach often substantiates the magic and gives it direction. Rather, a sense of rightness, a feeling that these two belong together, infects this couple and those who observe them. Such certainty is rare and should be treasured. Week of the Empath persons will find themselves motivated by the electric dynamism of Week of the Seeker individuals, who in turn will benefit from Week of the Empath empathic ability and skill in creating a cozy home base. Romance can hit new highs here. Blissful states may be familiar to feeling-oriented Week of the Empath people; Week of the Seeker persons may have experienced glimmerings of such feelings in the adventuresome pursuit of external goals but now encounter them for the first time in a real live human being. Should such a relationship end, the partners will experience its loss as tragic and could have a hard time getting over it. This is especially true if one of the partners is called back from the affair to another, primary relationship, especially if this is a marriage involving children, career or social responsibilities. Such a viable love relationship as this one can obviously evolve into marriage, but some of the magic may be lost in the process, resulting in disappointment or disillusion. The spouses may look back longingly to bygone rapture, wondering why pots and pans, bills and diaper-changing ever had to be added to the equation. Siblings and friends of this combination are capable of a magical relationship. Week of the Empath people know intuitively when their Week of the Seeker partner needs sympathy or consolation, and the seductive and cajoling manner of Week of the Seeker individuals can help bring Week of the Empath people out of depressions. Working relationships generally demand a harder, more pragmatic approach than is possible in this combination.

Coming Down To Earth
The Week of Energy, May 19-24 ─── with ─── The Week of Determination, Jan. 3-9
This relationship can explore the far reaches of thought and fantasy, but will also ground itself in the here and now. The metaphor of dance suggests itself—leaping, literally flying, then returning to the ground to gather energy. The relationship usually shows enough sense to build itself around a practical endeavor in which both partners feel fulfilled in their work. Without this basis, they are likely to drift, or sometimes to try to escape from the demands of daily life altogether. The relationship has an air of unreality. Cusp of Energy people can be swept away by the combination’s fancifulness. They are on the flighty side to begin with, and the illusions spun here may be too much for them. Week of Determination individuals, on the other hand, always serious and usually laden with responsibilities, will initially be liberated by the matchup’s imaginativeness, but may later try to exert control. Cusp of Energy persons will bear the brunt of the relationship’s amorphousness. Charming and piquant, as a love affair the relationship is at first blush the very essence of romance. Yet it is eventually likely to be secretive and to exhibit neurotic symptoms of anxiety and worry. Marriage is usually more favorable: domestic tasks, financial planning and building a family can be the grounding influences the relationship requires. The best bet of all is probably friendship, which will feature a never-ending stream of ideas for things to do, both intellectual and physical. Such friends may well travel, exercise and work together. Good feelings, affection and gift-giving are characteristic here. Siblings in this combination will seem as different as night and day, but their personalities can dovetail well. The dangers here are overdependence and a lack of individual development. Differences of temperament in parent-child combinations (Week of Determination people serious and demanding, Cusp of Energy persons fun-loving and flexible) may establish a contentious but rarely boring family dynamic. Since the relationship does well grounding itself in daily activities, career matchups are favored. These two can work side by side for years and still maintain their individuality. They will constitute an effective unit for getting the job done efficiently and dependably.

The Week of Energy, May 19-24 ─── with ─── The Week of Acceptance, Feb. 8-15
This demanding relationship operates at a high level, but a stressful one. The perfection demanded here will improve the quality of daily life in general but may undermine it in any given instance, engendering nervousness and pressure. An attitude of merciless self-criticism may also be operative, with old scripts producing self-fulfilling prophecies (“You’ll never be any good at that”). A positive attitude may be continually undercut. The relationship’s undeniable social drive favors friendships and marriages. Both Week of Acceptance and Cusp of Energy folks have a strongly gregarious side that must be expressed, and their matchup synergistically reinforces this tendency. In consequence, their relationship has to be defined willy-nilly in terms of others, whether family members, social groups, colleagues or friends. When social demands become too intrusive, however, resentment and resistance can arise between them, especially in Week of Acceptance people, who have a strong private side. Love affairs between these two tend to be highly accepting and supportive. Although Week of Acceptance persons are easily irritated, Cusp of Energy people have a way of lightening the mood and in general staying objective without overreacting. On the other hand, they also want to be the center of attention, a need that proud and self-occupied Week of Acceptance individuals may not satisfy, possibly causing frustration. Whether the relationship is passionate or platonic, it may be enduring and rewarding, but both partners will need to keep their nervous temperaments under control on a day-to-day basis. Parent-child relationships here are complex. Cusp of Energy parents tend to lay on guilt trips and in general to meddle too much in the lives of their Week of Acceptance children, who will react violently against such behavior. Week of Acceptance parents, on the other hand, tend to make their Cusp of Energy children anxious and hysterical. Yet this relationship can be extremely affectionate, supportive and loving, with long periods of easy contact only occasionally being disrupted by an explosive reaction to a sharp remark, glance or critical observation. Working relationships are not recommended, since both parties have their own approaches.

Your 2020 February Horoscope
February is the second month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars, with 28 days in common years and 29 days in leap years, with the quadrennial 29th day being called the leap day.
February is also my birthday month and is considered by many to be the month of love as Valentine's Day is on the 14th. Speaking of love, what important events will happen for you? What can you expect from February in 2020? Let your horoscope be your guide.
Aries:
An increase in pressure could be noticeable this month. But don't become stressed by the ways you feel pushed or pulled in umpteen directions. Try instead to accept how you're receiving the equivalent of a cosmic kick to your posterior to do two things.
The first surrounds having more faith in aspirations that you know are important to you. The second involves taking action to make them become more than inspired visions, dreams, or fantasies. You're pushed for many good reasons this month. Trust that the universe has your back – or backside!
Taurus:
The month might start with tension likely to increase until the Full Moon on the 9th that targets your home, family, or domestic-set-up. But from the 16th, Mars triggers your sense of adventure, desire to learn, travel, and turn cherished visions into something tangible.
However, don't be defensive if others don't support your mind-broadening plans. The same applies to anyone who doesn't share your opinions or beliefs, too. What inspires or motivates you won't tick everyone's boxes, as you'll likely discover. But don't let their lack of vision be your problem.
Gemini:
Many people hate to be wrong. We all draw conclusions based on the facts we have available. Discovering our instincts were right offers a genuine reason to feel pleased. But we can also be relieved to learn that we made an incorrect assessment of a situation.
For some time, you may have clung rigidly to an expectation. You may have also convinced yourself that only one outcome was likely. Prepare for a wave of comfort to replace the anxiety you've grown used to.
Cancer:
"And…relax.' We tend to like hearing those words when we do something strenuous and are aware of a need for a break. You can often hear people exhale loud sighs of relief when a chance arrives to regain their energy.
This month, a demanding or intense set of circumstances shows reassuring signs of becoming less challenging. Your recent efforts to bring stability and structure to what has been stressful and chaotic are about to pay off. Seize your chance to relax.
Leo:
One popular saying to emerge in recent years is, "it is what it is.' Such words mean that a situation must be accepted, and glossing over any less-than-desirable or negative points isn't helpful.
But the fact that circumstances are seen realistically, even if doing so is uncomfortable, is a very positive step. This month, any discomfort or uncertainty attached to facing an awkward truth will soon be replaced by relief - and a justified sense of freedom.
Virgo:
Imagine a queue of famous chefs, keen for you to sample their finest cuisines. That would be wonderful if it weren't for the fact that you're not the least bit hungry. Yet, menus continue to be thrust in your face.
You're expected to be more trusting and open-minded. The above analogy might sound daft, but it is relevant. You know what's best for you this month. Others might insist they do, but that doesn't mean you're obliged to listen.
Libra:
Most of us accept the truth in the saying about being 'known by the company we keep.' But how often do we assess our connections or alliances? Some exist habitually rather than from a genuine need.
This month, you have a chance to look at whom you share your world with – and on more than one level. A new era commencing requires you to be more discerning – or realistic – about who remains in your world, and who doesn't. Trust that you're entitled to make these choices.
Scorpio:
Everyone has their idea about what the word 'creative' means. Of course, there are the artistic connotations. But a creative person is also inventive, productive, and resourceful.
You probably take great pleasure in revealing a better or easier way to do something, especially to anyone renowned for being clever. This month, it's the unique and visionary approach you adopt to a demanding situation that will leave others in no doubt about how ingenious you are!
Sagittarius:
It's a shame that most people, when asked if they're musical or artistic, reply that they're not. If they considered their answer, then they'd accept that they have such talents or skills, but haven't learned to harness them.
Events this month offer you a chance to shine by showing others what you're capable of. Praise might not take the form of applause. But it will be genuine and appreciated. Don't convince yourself that a talent or skill falls short of someone's expectations.
Capricorn:
Popeye had a tried-and-tested way of summoning energy. When tense situations demanded he tackled and resolved them, he'd squeeze open and gulp a can of spinach. Any issue soon became short-lived.
From the 16th until the end of March, Mars occupies your sign. Consider this the equivalent of 'super spinach.' You'll have your share of challenges to overcome during the coming weeks. But with a positive and determined mindset, you'll succeed admirably.
Aquarius:
We appreciate that magicians don't reveal at the end of a performance how they accomplished their tricks. Even if anyone wanted them to, the magician has worked too hard to reveal their closely-guarded secrets.
Knowing how something is done or 'works' often kills the magic within anything, too. You might need to remind certain people of this if you're requested to explain yourself in some way. You do what you do because it suits you. You're not obliged to justify it.
Pisces:
If there's one feeling we can be dismissive of or too cautious toward, it's optimism. One inspired, positive and hopeful thought or vision can be easily overridden by a wave of doubt. Perhaps, this is due to applying too much focus to when we anticipated a negative event previously and one arrived.
But how many times do we get it right? This month, as Jupiter and Neptune create something magical and inspiring, trust the sense of optimism demanding your attention. It needs you to believe in it – wholeheartedly!

Witchtips & Horoscopes ~7/31-8/6/2019
This week starts with a Super Black Moon occurring on July 31st in Leo. The Super Black Moon gives us a chance to start fresh and create new beginnings around our hearts desires. Later in the day, on the 31st, Mercury turns direct, thus ending its retrograde journey. Until August 15th, when Mercury leaves its post-retrograde shadow, we will be retracing the story that began on June 20th. Venus, who is currently in Leo, softly connects with healing asteroid Chiron, who is retrograde in Aries, on August 1st, giving us the chance to mend relationships. August 2nd brings a tense aspect from Venus and Uranus, who is in Taurus, ending the week with emotional shake ups, breakups, and breakdowns. We are seeing situations and people through a different lense this week—trust and believe what you see.
Aries
March 21-April 19
It’s been a long road to creative success and this week proves that you’ve been able to cultivate your own unique artistic brand. The only caveat to your personal and professional victories is that you feel less than deserving of such triumphs. Don’t allow yourself to feel less than spectacular. You're the leader of the zodiac and the best ram in town—even if you’re feeling a little less than special. Take time to enjoy and celebrate your triumphs this week before you let yourself get into an emotional tailspin. You’re still number one, even if you feel less than popular.
Taurus
April 20-May 20
Life is always in flux—which often proves challenging for your steady heart. This week situations and relationships are changing too fast for you, causing you restless nights and emotional days. You’re unsure of your next move, which is causing inner anxieties and stresses to rise. Not knowing where tomorrow takes you may be enjoyable for some, but definitely not for your earthy sentiments. The only resolve is for you to embrace the ever-changing world and laugh off the daily drama. Roll with the punches. Don’t fight the universe’s plans. Life’s always evolving and growing—it’s time for you to keep up.
Gemini
May 21-June 20
For the past few weeks you’ve been feeling as though others have been talking or plotting against you. While you haven’t necessarily been paranoid, you’ve certainly had a gut feeling. The truth to this matter is coming out this week, which will certainly spark arguments with others. You’ve been too credulous and kind, trusting blindly. Now, you are learning who you can and cannot trust. Although it may be challenging, don’t fall into the trap of defensively  expressing your emotions. In these matters, silence is more powerful because you can’t take back harsh and austere words once they’re out there.
Cancer
June 21-July 22
If you could put a monetary worth on yourself this week—the sky’s the limit. You’ve had many emotional setbacks that have hindered your confidence. But, now you’re able to see your worth. As a result, you are taking back your power within interpersonal relationships. This may cause issues with others, as they have been undermining you for a while. You may even decide to temporarily cut ties with those who are psychically draining you by not indulging their erratic behavior because it is draining your energy. If you value and respect yourself, you can stand in authority amongst your peers.
Leo
July 23-August 22
The professional sphere of your life is changing this week, which may cause much drama and upsets as you are ill prepared to move forward. Your career is moving in a new direction, which may cause a lot of anxiety and issues. You have the ability and drive to elevate your status—no matter what direction your career is heading in. Throw caution to the wind and allow yourself to evolve. Your creativity will always endure success. Nothing stays the same forever and it’s time you let go of your preconceived notions of where you should be within your professional visions.
Virgo
August 23-September 22
Taking the high road is always hard—especially when your even tempered feathers have been ruffled. Consuming your mind with meditation will help you understand the motivations of others (even if you disagree with their actions) and allow you to come to a peaceful comprehension of situations. Arguing won’t help make your case and will prove fruitless. Take the energy from such frustrations and channel it back within you to elevate your mind and spirit. Allow yourself time to reflect this week. You will come to a place of inner tranquility and calmness by blocking out outside noise and nonsense.
Libra
September 23-October 22
You’ve been longing to give back to others. However, you’ve been feeling stuck and unable to decide upon a charity to give to. You desperately want to help, but believe in too many philanthropic charities to commit to a specific one. Rather than just choosing one specific place, donate to several. Organize a political or humanitarian event with your coven this week. Step up your game and host an event at your home with the intention of raising money for several causes. Your heart will sore knowing you are helping others around the world and paying your fortunate luck forward.
Scorpio
October 23-November 22
Unexpected revelations in relationships will make you second guess your feelings. You are discovering secrets and lies which others have told you, forcing to reassess the direction of these partnerships. While you often give people several chances to transform and grow, you’re realizing that they are incapable of evolving and bettering their situations. Unlike your fierce chameleon energy, they aren’t strong enough to change. Once you come to terms with their actions, you will be ready to set yourself free from them. Don’t diminish your self-worth by allowing yourself to engage with those who do not respect and value you.
Sagittarius
November 22-December 21
You’re on the impetus of greatness—but, rather than moving into a better place you’ve taken yourself back a few steps. The inability to transcend into the next phase of life stems from your insecurities. This is causing inertia and panic to take hold of your mind. Try to connect with your spiritual side this week through yoga and mindful mediation. Let your ancestors guide you by calling upon them for help. You can achieve anything you desire—if you put your mind to it. Don’t give up on yourself so easily, fight for your passions and dreams to obtain inner fulfillment.
Capricorn
December 22-January 19
You’ve been transforming at a rampant pace—trying to let go of that which does not serve your highest purpose. This week allows you to shed the excess skin and sentiments you’ve been holding on to and blossom into the sea-goat of your dreams. As long as you are ready to leave the past behind and move towards the future, you will be prosperous with your adventures. Don’t allow yourself to fall into the trap of holding on. Although it’s scary, change is your only option to personal salvation and happiness. Let yourself evolve and transform. Embrace new possibilities this week.
Aquarius
January 20-February 18
Matters of the heart have been topsy-turvy for some time, causing you to feel as though you’ve been riding on a never-ending emotional roller coaster. This week helps you make decisions about relationships by offering you clarity on your sentiments and feelings. Seeing others for who they truly are may bring personal shocks and heartache, but it’s necessary for you to know who you align yourself with. Give yourself time to heal. Nurture yourself this week, to avoid upsets and negative feelings that may come your way. Keep yourself guarded by positivity in order to protect your energy from others.
Pisces
February 19-March 20
You’ve been feeling lost at sea for the past month and this week you are finally able to move past the haze that’s surrounding your mind. It’s time for you to get clear about your desires and make healthy decisions. This means detoxing your personal space. Smudging can help purify your energy. Wearing an amethyst crystal can  protect you from negative vibes. You are on the road to self-improvement and growth. Don’t let anyone set you back in your personal journey towards healing. You have the ability to transform and evolve—even if you think it’s impossible. You’re stronger than you think.

July Forecast for Aquarius
Mind: blown? July is one of those turning-point months for you, Aquarius: a time when things come together with a huge flourish—or go in a radically new direction. An energy that’s been percolating since February 2017 reaches its apex at the end of the month as a total lunar eclipse blasts into YOUR sign on July 27. Eclipses arrive four to six times a year, pushing us out of limbo and instigating bold changes. With two of summer’s three eclipses arriving this July, you’ll want to sit up straight, stay woke and be ready to greet whatever comes your way.
We almost want to write your horoscope backward this month, but in truth, there’s plenty of cosmic action all the way through July. And with fiery Mars, the planet of energy and drive, retrograde in Aquarius until August 12, you could be a bit of a dormant volcano until the lunar eclipse. Check yourself: Are you being overly intense and stressing out everyone around you? Mars has been in Aquarius since May 16, which gave you confidence and charisma by the boatload. But when the red planet reversed gears on June 26, all that fierce life-force energy got bottled up. Perhaps you’ve had to curb your enthusiasm or suppress other feelings, and the frustration of stuffing them down is palpable. Find an outlet (we recommend moving your body!) so that intensity has somewhere to go. Otherwise, you’re liable to just pick fights or rage internally—neither of which is a healthy option!
Four other planets will be retrograde throughout the month: Expansive Jupiter is backward in Scorpio and your career house until July 10; communicator Mercury goes retrograde July 26 in Leo and your partnership zone; and all month long there are slowdowns from structured Saturn and transformational Pluto in your healing twelfth house and foggy Neptune in your money and work sector. Translation: There’s some unfinished business related to your career or relationships, which is all the more reason to tie up loose ends in time for the July 27 lunar eclipse—your cosmic-coming out party!
A proposed solution, should the retrogrades keep you in a holding pattern: Clean up the clutter in your life. The Sun is in Cancer and your sixth house of health, fitness and organization until July 22. Ramp up the self-care by loading up on the bounty of summer produce and getting regular exercise. Go full-frontal Marie Kondo on your home and office, getting rid of stuff that “doesn’t spark joy.” Call in some helping hands to finish up those tasks and projects that have been hanging over your head, like building bookshelves, steam-cleaning the couches, painting. Don’t wait—delegate!
By mid-month, you’ll be one busy Water Bearer, because on July 10, abundant Jupiter ends a four-month retrograde in Scorpio and your tenth house of career and ambition. Take your summer vacation days before this if you can! Lucky Jupiter only visits Scorpio every 12 years, bringing massive growth to your professional life and loftiest goals. Jupiter is here from October 10, 2017, until November 8, 2018. Many Aquarians have already experienced a surge of ambition or new career opportunities. Jupiter’s evolution isn’t always comfortable—this planet pushes you OUT of your comfort zone, in fact—and since March, you may have scrambled to adapt to changes. Perhaps you left (or pondered leaving) a long-running role or parted ways with a steady client. With Jupiter powering forward now, it’s all systems go until November 8. Make those bold moves, leaps of faith, and big asks! A leadership role or a position with prestige and great responsibility awaits. While it might come with longer or more structured hours, travel or other demands, this cycle won’t occur again for more than a decade, so grab that brass ring while it’s there. The tenth house rules men and fathers—and an important guy in your life could play a pivotal role in the coming weeks.
Two days after Jupiter goes direct, the heavens serve up a partial solar (new moon) eclipse in Cancer and your orderly, wellness-minded sixth house. Solar eclipses mark bold beginnings and can set us on a whole new (and unexpected) path. This one is the inaugural eclipse in a series that will fall on the Cancer/Capricorn axis between now and July 2020, initiating a wave of changes around health and healing, spirituality and creativity, and work and service. Over the next two years, you’ll play with the balance between control and surrender, left and right brain, logic and magic. You could dramatically shift your lifestyle to adopt sustainable health-conscious habits.
This is the only eclipse from this group in 2018, and it’s just a preview of changes that will really take flight in 2019. Still, it will be an intense start! On July 12, the Sun and new moon are exactly opposite power-tripping Pluto in Capricorn and your twelfth house of illusions, closure and forgiveness. Pluto rules the unconscious, and in this hazy zone, an intense personality could show up, perhaps acting as a mirror or a messenger. Rather than rage at them, look at how they might be revealing some part of YOU that needs to shift. It’s also possible that you’ll have to stand up to a bully for once and for all. Stay alert for people who gaslight you or make you second-guess yourself. This eclipse could be the first indication of who no longer deserves a place on Team Aquarius.
Save your energy for folks who truly know what mutual give-and-take is all about. On July 22, the Sun starts a four-week visit to Leo and your partnership zone, putting the spotlight on your closest relationships. You might decide to make things official in a romantic or business relationship.
But take your time before locking in any binding commitments. From July 26 until August 19, communication planet Mercury will be retrograde in Leo and this dynamic-duo zone, scrambling signals with your closest crew. You could have second thoughts about moving ahead, so if you catch a case of cold feet, step back and see if it’s your own fear or a legit red flag. Because couples could misunderstand each other and have heated arguments during Mercury retrograde, make a conscious effort to practice patience. Instead of jumping down someone’s throat, make sure you’ve heard them correctly!
July’s crown jewel—or big shakeup—arrives the next day, when the July 27 Aquarius total lunar eclipse sweeps through your first house of self and solo endeavors. This is the final Aquarius eclipse in a series that’s been touching down on the Leo/Aquarius axis since February 2017, bringing radical transformation to your personal identity and your closest relationships. Look back to the prior two Aquarius eclipses on August 7, 2017, and February 15, 2018, for clues of what might fully come together now.
There will be one last Leo eclipse on January 21, 2019, and then this cycle will be complete. Over the next six months, start speaking up more instead of stuffing things down. You can’t expect people to read your mind, which is why you need to express and assert yourself. And with fiery Mars traveling close to the full moon eclipse, there might be a lot more brewing than you imagined. Let it out, Aquarius—then let it go. You’re ready for a major new chapter, and you don’t need any old baggage weighing you down. Keep your sights set on what’s ahead, and leave the past behind.
Love & Romance
Feeling hot, hot, hot…or not, not, not? With passionate Mars powered down in retrograde in your sign all month, your mojo could be muted. Like summer fireworks that don’t fully go off, there could be a few duds in the lineup, so don’t get impatient or angsty about it. This month, put the focus back on yourself instead of getting all worked up about someone else’s nonsense.
When Mars is powering forward in direct motion, the red planet blesses you with an extra blast of confidence and charisma, but when it’s in low-power mode, you might be feeling tired, off your game, or just “blah.” Luckily, you’ll get a do-over from September 10 to November 15, when Mars will return to Aquarius for a second retrograde-free trip—and your sex appeal will be off the charts once more. Not that your sexy lights are completely shut off, Aquarius; just on dimmers. Retrogrades can bring back the past, so don’t be surprised if exes reappear, especially those “bad boy/girl” types that are oh-so tempting for you—if not necessarily your smartest menu selection. You might be more argumentative, or, if you’ve been biting your tongue, unable to suppress that anger, which could lead you to lash out…and then wind up regretting your rashness.
Lean in to the action on the other side of your chart to keep the peace and work through any fights. Diplomatic Venus is traipsing through Leo and your partnership zone until July 9. This can help you resolve sticky issues and find a way to get BOTH of your needs met. (It can also shine a light on a worthy prospect if you’re single.) It’s worth the effort now, before communicator Mercury goes retrograde in Leo and your partnership house from July 26 to August 19 and heaps on more confusion and tension. Things could really come to a head on July 27 at the Aquarius total lunar eclipse, when you’re not likely to hold ANYTHING back!
When Venus enters Virgo and your super-intense eighth house on July 9, you could radar in on one special person or deepen your bonds all around. In spite of Mars acting up, this is a wonderful time for intimacy and sensuality—even to share some top-secret fantasies!
Throughout the month, Venus will form flowing trines to innovative Uranus (July 11), structured Saturn (July 14) and transformational Pluto (July 27), all in the most sensitive and emotional houses of your chart. These three golden angles strengthen your mind-body-soul connection with a partner and support being vulnerable enough to talk about your needs. The takeaways: You don’t always have to be tough and together, Water Bearer. All that’s required is being human.
Key Dates
July 14: Venus-Saturn Trine Has a relationship been running on autopilot so long that you haven’t checked in with yourself lately to make sure you feel emotionally safe? Today’s supportive alignment of loving Venus and structured Saturn can give you clarity about your needs and desires. Broaching this subject may feel awkward, but it can help you reach a new level of commitment, like moving in together, getting engaged or talking babies.
Money & Career
This is a giant month for your career, Aquarius! The Sun is making its fastidious trek through Cancer and your orderly sixth house until July 22, backed by a game-changing solar eclipse on July 12. This is a perfect time to hire helpful underlings, delegate and outsource, and get all your systems in smooth working order.
But the second week of the month really delivers! When expansive Jupiter powers forward (direct) in Scorpio and your career sector on July 10, big changes could be afoot on your professional path. Between now and November 8, you might leave one role, take on a whole new set of responsibilities or part ways with a client. Don’t cling to the familiar, Aquarius. Adventurous Jupiter can bring in people and projects that totally exceed your expectations. A long-distance job offer could arrive, or you might surprise yourself by considering a relocation. Work that involves management, an executive role or public appearances could take off. In transition? Consider working with a mentor or tapping a seasoned colleague to take you under their wing.
Although Jupiter pushes you to leap without looking, other cosmic forces might step on the brakes. While go-getter Mars is powered down in retrograde from June 26 until August 27, rushing can yield second-rate results. On top of that, Mars is retrograde in Aquarius until August 12, which could throw off your timing or ramp up the tension on a passion project. You might come across as overly pushy if you’re not careful—or you could second-guess your ideas and lose confidence (and steam). Making matters worse, communication planet Mercury is retrograde in Leo from July 26 to August 19 in your partnership and contracts house, which could muddle deals and negotiations. Argh!
If a successful resolution doesn’t feel imminent, use July and August to revise and tweak before presenting your plans or making a life-changing decision. A good target time frame is between September 10 and November 15, when Mars will make a second (retrograde-free) trip to Aquarius, blessing you with a bonus round of magnetism and appeal. Who knows? With some extra prep time, you can unleash something bigger and better. And you’ll feel confident enough to go forward with a big change without having a complete freak-out after committing.
The one exception to this might come at the July 27 Aquarius total lunar eclipse, a day that could put your name in lights. If you do have something to pitch, promote or perform this month, you’ll have some extra oomph, as this “momager” of an eclipse pushes you onto center stage, ready or not! Aries Daily Love Horoscope
Aries is administered by Mars, the divine force of war, or all the more explicitly, the lord of battling soul. He was the child of Jupiter and the admirer of Venus.
Out of the three fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius), Aries daily love horoscope has the most energy, the most serious natural power, and the best will to act and succeed. Aries love to carry bliss to individuals without anticipating something consequently. They like to perceive how somebody partakes in their gift, grin, organization, or care. For some Aries, this time of heartfelt power and passionate assessment will carry genuinely necessary lucidity to as of late convoluted connections or dubiously characterized relationships.
Before mid-March, expect beforehand unaddressed home, social, or protection contrasts from the beyond 6 to 7 months to be brought into general visibility, really talked about, and settled. Mysteriously, another multi-month period of incredibly uncovering and earnest correspondences will show up in March: watch for sweethearts and dear companions to constantly push for key home changes and strong long-haul responsibilities. READER HOROSCOPE FOR FEBRUARY 2018
Fight the power: February’s revolutionary reads
AQUARIUS
Welcome to February, Aquarius! After the endless slog that was January (no offense, but it was the month that felt like one thousand years), you are happy to welcome a brand new month. And thank goodness, because it’s coming in HOT. You’ve received more invitations in the past week than you did in all of January, and your calendar for the rest of the month already makes you want to take a nap. Don’t! Exciting things are afoot, dear Aquarian, and if you resume the same fetal position in the couch that you took comfort in these past few weeks, there’s no telling what will pass you by. This is not the time to be a recluse; on the contrary, getting up and out will have a wonderful effect on what you consider the normalcy of everyday life. It’s always a wonderful surprise when the universe throws situations and new people in your path that force you to question beliefs you’ve always held, from the most mundane to downright fantastical. This month, those surprises abound, but, of course, it starts with you. Practice opening your mind to new possibilities, rather than sticking to the status quo. This can look like accepting a wild job offer, taking on an ambitious fitness challenge, or simply taking the scenic route home. It may also be time to step outside of your comfort zone in a much deeper way: attend a spiritual ceremony, political rally, or volunteer in a shelter. What you put into the universe, you’ll return a hundredfold: give yourself the time and freedom to be wowed by the world around you. Your lucky book this month is a fascinating, eye-opening short story collection that delves into the complexities that lie at the heart of several seemingly run-of-the-mill relationships. A short read, but worth a second or even third look--another instance in which you’ll benefit greatly from setting aside your first assumptions.
LUCKY BOOK: You Are Free by Danzy Senna
PISCES
Lovely Pisces, this month we salute your generous soul. Maybe it’s the proximity to Valentine’s day, or maybe you’re just experiencing a surplus of affection--either way, you can’t get enough of your loved ones: friends, family, pets, whoever is important to you. Not only do you care about their happiness and well-being, but you believe in them, too! You’re thrilled for the opportunities you see them going after and often feel compelled to help them achieve their dreams. While this is an admirable trait (friends like you are truly diamonds in the rough!), a word of caution: know when to remove your rose-colored glasses. Your loved ones are still human, and humans make mistakes. Placing people on a pedestal very rarely ends well, for you or for them: you need to preserve some of your emotional real estate for YOU, and they need to know that your happiness isn’t totally reliant on their success or happiness. Know how to draw those boundaries, and even cut ties, if it ever comes to that point. Don’t override your intuition, ever--your gut is usually much more attuned to the reality of difficult of situations than your heart is. Your lucky book this month is a deeply visceral portrait of what happens when a close relationship is severed, and the lasting effect that divisions across identity lines can have. There is much more to this story than meets the eye--there’s a reason why this book was a runaway bestseller at publication! Read closely, and then maybe call someone just to tell them that you love them.
LUCKY BOOK: Caucasia by Danzy Senna
ARIES
Slow down, Aries! After the January slog, you’re chomping at the bit to get all the things done this month. Understandable--it’s frustrating to feel like you’re so far behind, like you’re miles away from inbox zero. But let’s get real: too much stress and too little rest is a perfect recipe for getting sick. You can scoff, but no one ever plans to get sick, do they? If you feel like you’re constantly pushing yourself, that’s because you are: take a hint from your body’s exhaustion and relax. Question your motivations: are you desperate to take action because you actually care, or out of a misplaced sense of obligation? Guilt? A favor you owe to someone else? If it’s not coming from a genuine place, the results of your labor most likely won’t be to your standards, and it’ll feel like a waste of time and resources. Let February be your strategy month: what is it that you want to accomplish in the next few months? What are your mid-year goals? What can you believe putting into place? Once you’ve figured that out, then you can narrow down steps that you can take now, from the comfort of your home or office, that don’t require a large amount of legwork. Think of it as playing the long game: not every successful day has to leave you running on E. Work smarter, not harder. By the time March rolls around, you can hit the ground running. To quell some of that anxious energy, though, your lucky book this month has you covered: an unputdownable thriller set in Jamaica, surrounding the events of Bob Marley’s assassination. This hefty novel has it all: drugs, sex, reggae, and some truly unforgettable storytelling. Enough action to keep your need for adventure satiated! Now go take some Vitamin C, and don’t say we never did anything nice for you.
LUCKY BOOK: A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James
TAURUS
My staunch and sturdy Taurus, brace yourself: February is going to be an exercise in an activity that isn’t exactly your favorite. There are some exciting new developments on the horizon for you, but as always, the universe rarely gives free gifts. You pride yourself on your take-charge attitude; you’ve been complimented more than once on your ability to bring order to chaotic situations, to think ahead and it seems everyone else’s head is in the clouds. In life, there must always be balance, and this month, it’s your turn to be just a tiny bit airheaded yourself! You’ll need to let go of some of your more rigid beliefs and behaviors in order to tap into the opportunities headed your way--they could be in the realm of your relationships, your job, or your side hustle, but either way, it’s uncharted territory. Try to figure out a way to relinquish a bit of control without feeling like you’re betraying your truest self, difficult as that may be. Change is a part of life, and positive change can only come with growth. If you’re struggling to adjust, keep yourself grounded by checking in with your family and closest friends; shifting your focus will help you maintain perspective on what’s important, at the same time that it reminds your loved ones that you care. After all, when things get rocky, their presence will make all the difference: it’s infinitely harder to get through brand new challenges all alone. In your lucky book this month, one family is put to the ultimate test when their entire home is taken from them--by the shifting powers of colonialism, and then by shipwreck. Three siblings have only each other to rely on as they navigate a brand new world together. Take courage in the face of what they struggled through and overcame, and believe you can handle whatever comes your way. We certainly do.
LUCKY BOOK: Land of Love and Drowning by Tiphanie Yanique
GEMINI
Do me a favor, Gem. Open your planner, bullet journal, schedule app, or wherever it is you keep track of your appointments. Notice how your rate heart has picked up? Yeah. You’re doing A LOT this month. This compulsion to reconnect with old friends and break bread with new ones is a part of what makes you you, after--one is silver and the other gold, right? Not to mention your many professional and extracurricular commitments. Movies you need to see, museums you need to visit. Just keep that appointment book handy from this point forward; you’re quickly approaching the point of saturation. You may find that some quick thinking is required towards the middle of the month, if you want to avoid disappointing friends or making terrible first impressions. While you are completely aware that a few of these awkward situations could easily have been avoided if you practiced saying “no” more, take this as a chance to stretch those muscles of ingenuity and outside-the-box thinking. Stay open to the unexpected and when appropriate, let yourself go with the flow. Luckily for you, these are traits you already possess--just be sure to keep everyone on the up and up. Sometimes your machinations can lead to people wondering what’s happening, and people don’t tend to appreciate being left in the dark. Be forthcoming about what’s going on, in the general sense, but also within your particular spheres of influence. Honesty is key this month, in a big way: a few simple white lies you told in the past may very well come back to bite you very soon. Be humble and clear the air: small lies can become big ones, very quickly. This month, your lucky book is a short story collection that lies at the intersection of identity and choice. How does your perception of yourself affect that way you navigate the world? How does systemic inequality play into that? In the midst of your buzzing social life, take some time to wrestle with how your persona and beliefs affect your community in small and large scale ways.
LUCKY BOOK: Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self by Danielle Evans
CANCER
Hey Cancer, February is coming in hot. You may feel like life is holding you back, forever keeping your dreams on the back burner, but take a step back and reflect. Better yet, look around. Sometimes we receive our lessons as a result of mistakes made, but you have the advantage this month of your vantage point. What do you notice in the people around you? Coworkers, professional contacts, friends, acquaintances? Can you identify areas of growth and weakness, missteps and triumphs? Use their journeys as cautionary tales or inspiration as appropriate, and rest assured that things happen in due time. This is not to say you should try to be like everyone else, but rather, use their examples, both negative and positive, to craft a way forward for yourself. There’s a reason the universe keeps pumping the brakes on your own forward motion, and that may be because you’re attempting things you’re simply not ready for. In your lucky book this month, you’ll encounter a young woman who made a very difficult decision because of a responsibility she wasn’t ready for, and the ways her life changed as a result of that choice. While the ultimately figures out her own path, she only reaches that point after much introspection, as well as reflecting on the choices that the people around her made. Like her, you don’t exist in a vacuum, shut away in your own world. All of our actions affect each other, so be open to the lessons that others can teach you--we’re all in this together.
LUCKY BOOK: The Mothers by Brit Bennett
LEO
Just a little bit further now, Leo! While others were slacking off and bemoaning the dreariness of January, you were on your grind, and you’re about to see the results of your labor in a major way. Congratulations! From a job promotion to exclusive invitation to recognition from a long-time role model, be ready to accept the accolades and praise coming your way this month. Be sure to avoid the burnout that tends to set in the final stages, though; you’re almost there, keep going! One of the best ways to find your second wind is to find someone you really trust you help you bring it on home--who can that be for you? If the very thought makes you bristle because you’re unwilling to share the spotlight, that’s a red flag. It may be time to reflect on why you began this project or endeavor in the first place. Was it to solely to be praised? To make money? To prove someone else wrong? It’s not too late to redirect your energy if you started this off from a place of negativity or spite. But just be aware that you may not find the results you seek if you continue in the same ungracious vein. If you’re truly committed to seeing this through and giving it your all, this is probably the best time to bring someone else in, if you haven’t already. What are your blind spots? What could use a bit more feedback? Someone you trust to tell you the truth and treat your creation with care and dignity is someone you should absolutely have on your team. No man is an island, Leo, so disabuse yourself of that notion before you unwittingly sabotage yourself! Turn to your lucky book if you need some more reminders of the wily unpredictability of the world--and how sometimes, the only way to make sense of it is with someone who can offer a slightly different perspective.
LUCKY BOOK: Five-Carat Soul by James McBride
VIRGO
You know that feeling you get when you properly clean your glasses for the first time in a few days, and put them back on only to be astonished at how clear the world actually is? Virgo, that’s pretty much what this month is going to feel like. For the first time in a long time, you’re seeing things much more clearly: relationship dynamics that previously stymied you have laid themselves bare, workplace grievances or petty disagreements have fully come to light, previously held beliefs borne of ignorance are being turned on their heads. There may be many factors as to why these truths are revealing themselves, but regardless, enjoy this moment of understanding. Revisit some of the questions you puzzled over in past months when your head felt more cloudy: what do you feel confident in attempting now? What habits do you feel the need to put back into practice? Most importantly, is there anyone you owe apologies to? Despite your newfound lucidity, personal relationships may continue to be the one area that confounds you. People don’t act according to specific rules, and that may be more frustrating this month than it usually is. Intuition will come into play this month in a major way: listen to it, use it, trust it. Your gut is rarely wrong. Your lucky book this month is a deeply engaging and enchanting tale that draws on childhood myth but reflects with unerring clarity some of the more disturbing truths about our world. How much power does our outer image truly hold? And how we begin to reckon with the complexity that lies beneath? Keep this book in mind as you do some deep thinking with your newfound enlightenment this month, Virgo--there’s plenty more to this Snow White redux than meets the eye.
LUCKY BOOK: Boy Snow Bird by Helen Oyeyemi
LIBRA
Libra, Libra, Libra. February is a month when card and chocolate companies compel us to think about the people we love and how we express that love, and this month, the universe will be asking the same questions of you. Regardless of how you feel about the holiday of pink and red, you’ll need to reckon with where some of your closest relationships are going, how they’re changing, and who you should finally say goodbye to. Think about those you want to keep close--are you making time for them? Showing them that you care? You may think that is the case, but when is the last time you simply...asked? Intent is one thing, follow-through is quite another; if the other person isn’t picking up on your attention and affection, it may be time to amend your methods. As for you single Libras, this may the month that begins to change. Keep an open mind, but temper your expectations: a few dates does not a healthy relationship make. As you examine your existing connections and begin to think about establishing new ones, remember that people are human and prone to mistakes. Don’t allow yourself to be so swept away that you open yourself up for heartbreak too soon. It takes a careful eye and a good dose of intuition to identify an emotional vampire--practicing openness and caution at the same time is a difficult but necessary endeavor for you this month. Your lucky book is by one of the modern masters of intrigue and fantastical storytelling, and her novel will feel particularly relevant to you right now: a thrilling tale of what happens when a sentient house that holds a bed & breakfast unleashes its rage at the constant stream of unknown visitors. A classic English horror story told in a strikingly original voice, you’ll begin to appreciate the security that comes with only letting those with the purest of intentions get close to you.
LUCKY BOOK: White is For Witching by Helen Oyeyemi
SCORPIO
New month, new you! Sure, it’s the new year catchphrase, but feel free to apply it as liberally as you want. In February, the universe is nudging you abandon some of your old ways of operation and being open to new ideas. Particularly in your relationships with other people. Your usual ways of communicating may not be the best ways, particularly if you’ve found yourself reverting to subtlety and subtweets rather than direct and honest communication. At the end of the day, no one can read your mind except for you, and expecting people to pick up what you’re putting down is simply unfair. The time has come to be direct, take the time to figure out what exactly you mean to say, and say it. Your friends, family, and even coworkers will be much more receptive when your message is clear! That said, making the transition from subtle to direct can be emotionally exhausting, which translates very quickly to physical. If you find your energy levels flagging mid-month, pay attention to them and give yourself some time to recoup. (Ignoring your body’s signs is sure-fire way to get sick, just saying.) Take a bit of time to reconnect with yourself and figure out if there’s anything else you need to get off your chest. What’s the status of your intimate relationships? Are there tensions still swimming beneath the surface? How are you communicating in the workplace? With your creative team? Give yourself the time and space to square these away in your head, and feel confident about moving forward with more energy in a few weeks. Your life will be waiting for your once you’ve had a bit of a break. In the meantime, of course, get into your lucky book of the month, a fiction collection containing fresh insight and wide-ranging storytelling that will assist you in this month’s hard reset. As you aspire to clear and honest communication, Drinking Coffee Elsewhere is a perfect companion to have along the way.
LUCKY BOOK: Drinking Coffee Elsewhere by ZZ Packer
SAGITTARIUS
Bust out the paper and pen and let the genius flow, Sagittarius! February is a month of exhilarating creativity, and you have everything you need to unlock it. That’s not to say that you can expect to sit in a quiet room and have inspiration simply come to you, of course. You need to go to it! Leave the apartment and walk streets you’ve never explored before, take a flight to that city you’ve always wanted to visit and stay for a weekend. Take a class, fly a kite, paint a portrait--ease yourself outside of your typically prescribed behaviors and discover how firing up these new parts of your brain lend themselves to new ideas. The key to this is allowing yourself the freedom to accept what the universe is giving you, even if you don’t fully understand it now. You’ll only stifle yourself if you attempt to prune and edit as you go, so as much as you can, stifle the urge to rationalize every idea that enters your head. Record it, in whichever way feels most natural for you, and then come back to it later to see what you can glean from it. Bringing ideas to fruition takes time, this is just the beginning stages. This is thrilling time for you, and one that you absolutely cannot take for granted. Your lucky book this month is a charming accompaniment to this time of creative wonder--a collection that offers new delicious morsels each time you pick it up. Blurring the boundaries between reality and fantasy, this is playful and loosely connected meditation on the function of the key: is it a gate, a gift, or an invitation? There are no easy answers here, and you’ll be all the more enriched for it.
LUCKY BOOK: What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours by Helen Oyeyemi
CAPRICORN
Timing is everything, Cap! This month will be a bit of a holding pattern for you: there’s something brewing, either professionally or personally, and there isn’t much to do right now but hang back and see where things go. This shouldn’t be a major struggle for your typically patient Capricorn spirit, but when you combine your strong ambition with your very real and human need to see things through, this could wind up being a struggle. So here’s what I’ll say to you: trust in the process. Accept your emotions as they come--confusion, frustration, worry--and then do your best to let them go. If you try to seize control and make things move faster than they should, you’ll end up with a total mess on your hands, and way more stress than you’re experiencing right now. How do you distract yourself? Figure out a good way to spend your time, and do that. Take a mini road trip, lose yourself in a good Netflix binge, take that pile of clothes you’ve had bagged for months to the thrift store. Ultimately, Cap, you won’t regret making the time necessary for whatever is happening in your life to fully germinate. Change is inevitable: sometimes it happens fast, but more often, it happens slowly. Growth is what comes from allowing these processes to happen at the speed that they should. While you get to where you’re eventually going (because believe me, you WILL make it!), dive into some lessons hard-won by one of the most influential artists in the music world: The RZA. From a rough upbringing in the projects of Staten Island to international superstardom as founder of the Wu-Tang Clan, RZA’s spiritual memoir has been called “a nonfiction Siddhartha for the hip-hop generation.” We all have our journey-- don’t try to rush yours.

NYR: March in review.
Post-March horoscope: “I don’t know how I’m gonna do it, I only know I’m gonna try.”
In many ways, March was very fun and good! Here’s why:
wrote my whole thesis chapter. From start to finish I’ve churned out about 16k good words and finished the first draft. I’m about to start the next chapter next week, and if I can keep up this pace, I’ll have an entire thesis written in a few months. Truly could not be happier about this.
ran another game of Dread. It was fun! I’m getting more and more at ease running games, which is nice for me. I’m aiming to run one a month, so I’ll probably start coming up with the next one soon.
went to the zoo! It was so wonderful. The place was completely deserted, so it really felt like a private sanctuary all for me. Got a lot of good ideas for my zoo game too, so that’s a nice bonus.
applied for a writer’s residency. I really don’t think I’ll get it--but you miss all the shots you don’t take and that. It would be very cool to get paid to hang out in a garden for a month writing poetry, so fingers crossed!
enjoyed the local arts. Been going to lots of little local creative events--saw Carrie (the musical), celebrated Mardi Gras at the pub, went to a book fair, had a good time at some drag shows, and just generally filled my time with good people and fun things.
got good health news. Obviously I had no control over this, but it’s really nice to hear the specialist really happy about the latest test results. I definitely feel so much better. One of those time you don’t realise how bad things were until they improve.
anniversary with Clair. Three years. Ew. Loved to eat crab claws in a good restaurant, though, and go out for drinks at a cute bar afterwards.
In April, I will:
write more letters. Fell a bit on the wayside this month, but I’ve got a backlog to work through.
read at least one new book. I’ve got a stack of thin books of haiku ready to go, so I’m trying to make a habit of getting through one a week when I go out for a chai.
finish thesis second chapter. Honestly would love to finish this second chapter and start the third, but we’ll see. Let’s not get too ambitious too soon.
exercise regularly. I was doing it until we got rained in for over a week (another one for apocalypse bingo) and then hit with a low mood, so I want to pick this back up. Go for a walk each day, aim for an average for 5k steps.
go on a date. It got rained out last month, so we’ve rescheduled for next weekend.
continue to practice with zoo game. I’m incrementally improving, but it’s still at the frustrating, low-results-for-a-lot-of-struggle stage. So amped for when I’ve got more of a grasp on the building mechanics, though.
write more fiction. It’s not a high priority because my thesis takes the point there, but I’d really like to figure out my time so I can still do some creative writing as well. I particularly want to wrap up the story that’s been in limbo for several months while I moved + got my life together, so that’s the first project I’m going to tackle on my days off.

Horoscopes by Gil Hizon - November 19 - December 2, 2017
Rumblings on the horizon - that’s a good thing!
SCORPIES (October 23 – November 21)
For someone whose intensity usually alienates the fuck out of people, you sure can convince bitches to do your bidding. Blame it on the fact that within you, there’s been a shift in the way you approach new situations/predicaments in yo life. Dare I say you’re even optimistic AF nowadays. This is a great evolution in you and you should be able to keep up this positive momentum through the new year! =====
SAGITTICARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
There’s a lot of huffing and puffing with not much of substance where you’re concerned. But lucky for yo ass, close bitches and their moms have come up with a SAGITTARIUS filter to sift out the padding from yo truth. So rest assured that no matter how much discombobulated shit you spew out, the rest of us will be able to translate your real intent. And no worries, you’ll get all of the excess out of your system soon enough. =====
CAPRICORN-ON-THE-COB (December 22 – January 19)
Your divaness at your workplace is beginning to filter into your personal life. Usually you know how to turn the switch off that shit, but with the stress permeating throughout the many facets of your life, it’s hard to keep track of how to be anymore. Use the guidance of a good friend to steer you in the right direction, and for godsakes, don’t boss that bitch around! =====
AQUEERIUS (January 20 – February 18)
You’re the guy who wins one game of rummy and all of a sudden thinks he’s the shit. All of a sudden, you’re this cocky ass motherfucker who doesn’t know how to quit, betting on all them games and stuff. Before you know it, you have a gambling problem, a massive load of debt and everyone hates you. Don’t be that guy, dude. And just between the two of us, I let you win that first game, brah. =====
PI-SHEESH (February 19 – March 20)
Just because you’re feeling like your career is whooping yo ass it don’t mean that you should start setting the bar low. I know that second guessing yourself is your version of being realistic but what you’re not realizing is that some career paths take a fucking long time. If this is what you really wanna do in your life, you will stay and per-fucking-severe. Okay, queen? =====
ARIES IS BURNING (March 21 – April 19)
We’re tired of the gimmicks and the smoke & mirrors. It is time for you to set your sights on one of your big visions and follow the fuck through. There is a part of you that fears the unknown, so you’d rather jump from one big idea to the next, non-committal, rather than making an investment on one particular thing. We know you have the chops to make things happen. All you gotta do is see what we’re seeing. =====
TAURY SPELLING (April 20 – May 20)
Take it from me, this is not the time to make big swings - especially in the comedy department. Peeps are verrry sensitive these days that even one misunderstanding of your intent can turn your future into complete doodoo. Whatever instinct you may have, if there’s even a part of you that feels like it may be risky to carry out, then don’t even. Wait a few more months. =====
GEM IS EXCITEMENT (May 21 – June 21)
We love your big ideas, gurl, but right now, we need you to stick to the muthafucking outline. If it were just you on the chopping block, then we would be leaving you to your own devices, but there are other hos out here who will be affected if we don’t turn this shit in on time. So, please, queen. Save the dragons and gargoyles for another script. =====
KUH-KUH-KUH-CANCER (June 22 – July 22)
You’re not very good at saying no, are you? Especially when it comes to loved ones. Look. Being a full-time Yasss Queen takes a lot of fucking energy. And if you run yourself ragged, you will not be of any good to the bitches who you’re saying “yes, I’ll help you” anyway. You need to start setting limits and you need to start drawing lines. Save yo ass from possible immense exhaustion. =====
LEO MCQUEEN (July 23 – August 22)
Now that you’re back from vacay, it’s time to put in a few more weeks of hard work before the entire town shuts down for the holidays. I know that your mind will be tempted to get lost in the sea of commercial holiday spirit, but you have to rein that in, gurl. Crucial times call for crucial queens like you who can do the job and who lots of bitches depend on. Be a trooper. Not a daydreaming ho. =====
VIRGO/BEYONCÉ (August 23 – September 22)
As your responsibilities erode over the next few weeks, you may think that you’re in the clear. Not necessarily. Giving in to being unproductive will just leave you feeling restless and useless. Riverdale Co-Stars Relationship Profiles Based on The Secret Language Of Relationships Concept! (Part I)
Tumblr media
What Is The Secret Language Concept?
The Secret Language scientific personality reports have proven to be over 90% accurate after 21 years in use by millions of people in a dozen languages worldwide. Our data comes from Gary Goldschneider’s 40-year empirical study of the life stories of more than 20,000 people, analyzed by date of birth. Gary looked at 50 people born on your birthday and found the personality traits held in common by 45 of them. Then he created personality profiles from those traits for each day, week, month, season and year and I further combined those profile names into the ultimate distillation of your personality - your Secret Language Name. The Secret Language of Relationships shows how astrology can craft a relationship profile between any two individuals born during any two weeks of the year. The result is an indispensable guide to getting the most out of every relationship. The bestselling companion book to the groundbreaking The Secret Language of Birthdays, The Secret Language of Relationships offers a fascinating look into why we are drawn to certain people. Goldschneider divides the year into 48 “weeks,” showing the personality traits for each period. With an amazing 1,176 combinations of personalities, you can better understand any relationship in your life. Beautifully illustrated and designed, the Secret Language series is sure to delight a new generation of astrology enthusiasts and all people who are interested in better understanding themselves and the people around them.

Which Are The Best & Worst Combinations For You?
The Five Secret Language Relationship Categories
Love
Under this category are included intimate relationships ranging from platonic to romantic to sexual in nature.

Hammering Out Basic Principles
The Week of the Seeker, Jun. 11-18
─── with ───
The Week of the Literalist, Sep. 11-18
This relationship finds its partners vying for the leadership role. But although it is true that they are tough with each other, mutual respect and understanding often emerge after several confrontations between these two. The relationship’s focus is likely to be finding an authority acknowledged by both partners. Should a basic set of principles be agreed upon between Gemini III’s and Virgo III’s, perhaps hammered out on the hard anvil of experience, the relationship may become a strong, firm and enduring bond. Passion and intensity can certainly sweep both Gemini III and Virgo III partners away in love affairs and romance, but for the most part, willpower and common sense master emotion guaranteeing quick responses and giving the relationship a logical and discriminating outlook. Rarely will either of these partners allow their feelings to urge them into activities ultimately counterproductive to their best interests, either as individuals or as a duo. Marriages between Gemini III’s and Virgo III’s can be based on pragmatic principles as long as both partners contribute to the marriage equally. The constant difficulty regarding a Gemini III-Virgo III marriage is that Gemini III’s may be gone a good deal of the time, or may skip out on work, leaving their Virgo III spouse to finish things up. These partners are capable of being excellent parents to their children, both inspiring and educating. Setting up open channels with their children, and keeping these avenues open throughout their adolescent years, will be a great and rewarding challenge. Although capable of being excellent friends, Gemini III’s and Virgo III’s may not have either the time or the need to develop this kind of relationship. At work, on the other hand, these two can make excellent business partners and co-workers, with Gemini IIII’s contributing financial and worldly skills and Virgo III’s contributing the hard work, dedication and application needed to bring an enterprise success. Family relationships in this combination, particularly parent-child matchups, are fraught with emotional difficulties but are often more positive than either partner is prepared to admit.

Emotional Challenges
The Week of Balanced Strength, Aug. 3-10
─── with ───
The Week of the Literalist, Sep. 11-18
This combination will prove quite a challenge for its partners, since it focuses on the concepts of feeling and spirit—neither of them areas in which Leo II’s and Virgo III’s feel particularly comfortable. The relationship will certainly bring out previously repressed emotions that have either been buried or hidden for a long time, particularly negative emotions. Its focus may be the difficulty Leo II’s and Virgo III’s generally have with feelings, which these tough individuals often see as messes they would rather avoid. In this combination, however, that will be impossible. The relationship between Leo II’s and Virgo III’s will confront them with an area of life that they need to explore further and, ultimately, to work out in the end. Fortunately, the process will have a certain flow to it, so that the lessons this relationship has to offer will occur before the partners even realize what’s happening. Love affairs, friendships and marriage will have major problems. Virgo III’s are oriented toward mental activity and practicality, and although Leo II individuals admire and are attracted to intelligence, they actually do best when they rely on their intuition. In marriage, friendship and love, Leo II’s are rarely strong enough to stand up to Virgo III’s constant criticism or relentless logic. Leo II’s temper, anger and hot-headedness, meanwhile, will be very difficult for Virgo III’s to handle in the long-run. This couple’s interactions often alternate between violent emotional outbursts to frustrated silences reflecting repressed anger. Family matchups in this combination, especially between parents and children, are often highly confrontational. Virgo III children can be very critical of their Leo II parents, who are prone to being authoritarian, controlling and strict. Should Virgo III adults be the parents in the situation with Leo II children, they are likely to find their Leo II children very wild and uncontrollable. Their attempts at disciplining them will rarely meet with success. Career matchups betwen Leo II and Virgo III may succeed in avoiding the sensitive subject of feelings and emotions, but the Leo II and Virgo III partners will still feel a certain emotional wariness around each other, which can make them tread a bit too lightly in each other’s company. Otherwise, direct Leo II individuals energy and Virgo III individuals’ attentiveness can meld well in the workplace. These two can be successful at a variety of tasks, preferably objective ones in which the job just needs to get done without much fuss or bother.

Established Oppositions

─── with ───
The Week of Balanced Strength, Aug. 3-10
This relationship has two strongly distinct sides, and its energies oscillate between them—between light and dark, outer and inner, intuition and emotion. Little attempt is made to tone down the contrasts between Cancer I’s and Leo II’s or to arrive at compromise or synthesis between them. Understanding the wide swings imposed by the Cancer I-Leo II combination’s unpredictable, volatile, pendulum-like nature, and learning to go with their flow, will go far toward creating peace here. Cancer I’s will have a much easier time with the pursuit of this relationship; they may even enjoy the relationship’s variety and unpredictability. Leo II’s, on the other hand, have a strong need for balance. As a result, Leo II’s will tense up and feel uncomfortable around Cancer I’s, resisting its natural viability, and creating the potential for conflict between the two which cause the relationship to become highly confrontational, tension-filled, volatile and long-suffering. Cancer I’s are rather aggressive when it comes to their romantic and sexual pursuits while Leo II’s are much more wary and suspicious about who they find themselves involved with. Thus, Cancer I’s may end up scaring Leo II’s away temporarily before they eventually come around to accepting the relationship. Love affairs and romance between Cancer I’s and Leo II’s are often highly romantic, involving deep, intense emotional interaction and exciting and often risky activities, whether in career areas or out in the wild. Cancer I folks feel most comfortable in a home base setting, but they strongly yearn for projects and experiences that will sweep them off their feet or whisk them away on a magic carpet. Leo II’s may be just the opposite of Cancer I’s in this regard, spending their time breaking down barriers and reaching new heights of achievement but all the while dreaming of a warm fire and a comfortable home and bed. Therefore, an ideal arrangement for these two would be to spend long periods first at home and then elsewhere, perhaps passing one part of the year in their own city or country and another part away or abroad. The more activities that Cancer I’s and Leo II’s can share, the better: both love affairs and marriages between Cancer I’s and Leo II’s tend to be most successful when the Cancer I-Leo II partners are also engaged in a shared career endeavour. Cancer I-Leo II lovers who also work together may not consider marriage a necessary step for their relationship. Cancer I–Leo II siblings will often complement each other productively, but more outside of the family setting than within it. The relationship’s extreme unpredictability, swings and oscillations can generate domestic instability within a home or workplace setting, but Cancer I-Leo II friends and schoolmates are more likely to bring excitement and variety of mood to a place. Co-workers in this combination can generate upset in the workplace by keeping others from concentrating as well as distract each other from doing their job, but socially they may be the life of the party.

Too Good To Be True
The Week of the Seeker, Jun. 11-18
─── with ──
The Week of the Empath, Jun. 25-Jul. 2
Gemini III–Cancer I relationship has a magical quality that at times seems too good to be true. Rarely arousing envy, it instead seems to make many of those around the Gemini III-Cancer I individuals happy, perhaps because they are enchanted by its near-fairytale quality. One might expect a certain air of unreality here between Gemini III-Cancer I’s relationship, but actually a realistic approach often substantiates the magic and gives it direction. Rather, a sense of rightness, a feeling that these two belong together, infects this couple and those who observe them. Such certainty is rare and should be treasured. Cancer I’s will find themselves motivated by the electric dynamism of Gemini III individuals, who in turn will benefit from Cancer I’s empathic ability and skill in creating a cozy, secure home base. Love affairs and romance between Gemini III’s and Cancer I’s can hit new highs here. Highly blissful states may be familiar to feeling-oriented Cancer I people; Gemini III’s may have experienced glimmerings of such feelings in the adventuresome pursuit of external goals but they now encounter them for the first time in a real live human being in Cancer I’s. Should a love affair or romantic relationship between Gemini III and Cancer I end, the Gemini III and Cancer I partners will experience its loss as seriously and deeply tragic and they both could have a very difficult time getting over it. This is especially true if one of the partners is called back from the affair to another primary relationship, especially if this is a marriage involving children, career or social responsibilities. Such a viable love relationship as the one between Gemini III’s and Cancer I’s can obviously evolve into marriage down the road, but unfortunately, some of the magic and bliss may be lost in the process, resulting in disappointment or disillusion in both of the partners. The Gemini III and Cancer I spouses may look back longingly to bygone rapture, wondering why pots and pans, bills and diaper-changing ever had to be added to the equation. Gemini III and Cancer I siblings and friends of this combination are capable of having a very magical relationship. Cancer I’s know intuitively when their Gemini III partner needs comfort, sympathy or consolation, and the seductive and cajoling manner of Gemini III’s can help bring Cancer I’s out of melancholia and depressive states and moods. Working relationships between Gemini III’s and Cancer I’s generally demand a harder, more pragmatic approach than is possible in this combination.

Taming The Tiger
The Week of Renewal, Mar. 19-24
─── with ───
The Week of Leadership, Aug. 11-18
There is a need in this relationship between Pisces-Aries Cusp and Leo III to take wayward energies in hand and to shape and direct them. Passions run high here between Pisces-Aries Cusp and Leo III, but any overbearing energies, whether within the relationship or outside it, will not be submitted to; those passions must be mastered, so long as this is achieved with dignity and choice. In the best-case scenario, the combination of Pisces-Aries with Leo III can give a project direction or can bring together subtle feelings and define them. No attempt should be made to break this matchup’s strongly independent spirit. Since it will be extremely difficult for this relationship’s partners to admit their mistakes, contention is likely to arise between Pisces-Aries and Leo III’s, with each person claiming something like infallibility. The end of a knock-down, drag-out argument may come in the form of exhaustion or uneasy truce but rarely of compromise or apology. Perhaps the most realistic approach is just to agree to disagree, or at least to agree not to argue. Unfortunately, this will do little to help solve the relationship’s problems and volatility. Hard work will be required to keep the channels of communication open and to move toward building acceptance and understanding. between Pisces-Aries and Leo III’s Both Pisces-Aries Cusp and Leo III are emotionally deep individuals who live in a world of complex feelings. The passionate aspect of an erotic relationship between Pisces-Aries Cusp and Leo III may well become an outlet for each of them to express such deep, complex and intense emotions and feelings, whether those feelings are positive or negative, and their relationship may accordingly prove highly satisfying and even long-lasting. The control of tumultuous energies being crucial in this combination, however, strong emotions that threaten the relationship’s stability will probably lead to its permanent breakup. Even so, it may reach an intensity that both partners will remember for a lifetime. Should some kind of balance or direction of the determined and willful energies present in the relationship between Pisces-Aries and Leo III be possible, much can be achieved here. Whether in friendships or love affairs between Pisces-Aries Cusp and Leo III, the key to deepening trust in this relationship may lie in the area of admitting mistakes and weaknesses. Any act of forgiveness here, any resistance to a tendency to blame or lay on guilt trips, may prove a major triumph for these two. Ultimately, the taming of the tiger requires perseverance and respect.

A Need For Interaction
The Week of the Empath, Jun. 25-Jul. 2
─── with ───
The Week of Determination, Jan. 3-9
The matchup between Cancer I’s and Capricorn II’s plays an important role for its partners by teaching them not only how to interact socially with others but, more crucial still, the value of the relationship itself. Both Cancer I and Capricorn II personalities can be single-minded about their own personal success; here they will learn to consider another person’s needs and wants other than their own, to be more selfless, diplomatic and to negotiate, as well as the value of give-and-take within an interpersonal relationship or social situation. If both Cancer I and Capricorn II are adept students, this could be a very rewarding, successful combination. The danger here is that the Cancer I and Capricorn II partners will instead choose to cut themselves off from the rest of the world and from other people and will retreat to what they see as a safe space for themselves. However, it may not be as safe as they think. Away from the influence of their friends and family, Cancer I’s may act out the frustrations, anger and other repressed emotions and feelings of their partner in this combination. Cancer I’s are prone to pick up unconsciously and very quickly on the emotions and feelings of Capricorn II’s, expressing them as if they were their very own. The personal problems of both the Cancer I and Capricorn II partners also tend to become magnified the more time they spend alone together and as a result, the relationship can become emotionally codependent and unhealthy. For reasons of mental health, then, the Cancer I-Capricorn II pair should build bridges to the outside world. Love affairs, marriage and friendships will have some problems breaking through the partners’ armour. In childhood, both Cancer I and Capricorn II have commonly suffered from the disapproving attitudes of parents, teachers and possibly other authority figures, making them build a tough and resistant exterior in attempts to protect and shield themselves from harsh criticisms. The task of all of these relationships between Cancer I and Capricorn II is slowly to build bonds of commonality and trust that will dissolve these barriers. After making the effort to connect with the other partner, whether as a lover, spouse or friend, the Cancer I and Capricorn II partners may eventually begin to interact better with other friends and family members. In family relationships, especially parent-child, Cancer I’s and Capricorn II’s often try to break with old cycles and patterns that make them repeat past mistakes, and to act in less oppressive and more kindly and accepting ways. Boss-employee and teacher-student relationships should also be softened and brought down to a more human level involving openness, empathy, compassion and sharing.

A Round Peg In A Square Hole
The Week of the Titan, Dec. 11-18
─── with ───
The Week of Mystery & Imagination, Jan. 17-22
The dynamics of the relationship between Sagittarius III’s and Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp work best, perhaps, when the partners accept their own idiosyncrasies and put them to work for them, without excuses or holding back. Many of the problems that exist between Sagittarius III’s and Capricorn-Aquarians will clear up once they stop trying to act conventionally or to be accepted by those whose respect they crave—after all, once these two begin helping each other, they have quite a bit going for them career wise. Lively and creative, Capricorn-Aquarians are good at helping the serious Sagittarius III’s relax after work. Capricorn-Aquarius, for their part, are not always able to realize their fantastic schemes, and here Sagittarius III can be of great help. Nonetheless, the road is not an easy one for Sagittarius III and Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp interpersonally; although they can both be a joy to each other in many respects, they can also get on each other’s nerves—with dire results. Capricorn-Aquarians tend to vent their anger in a single, explosive reaction followed by a series of smaller aftershocks, whereas Sagittarius III’s anger simmers away with ease, and inevitably turns into depression if not released in a healthy manner. In love affairs and marriages, the Sagittarius III-Capricorn Aquarius match up can be torn between a desire for a quiet and conventional life and a real need to be outrageous and flamboyant. Such conflicts between wants and needs make the relationship between Sagittarius III’s and Capricorn-Aquarius look like a round peg being forced into a square hole. Generally at the root of the problem between these two are certain childhood scripts or parental expectations that continue to hold one or both partners in a vice-like grip. Learning to be firm and bidding a fond farewell to parental guilt trips will be difficult for these two, but is necessary if self-development is to continue. Friendships and sibling relationships between Sagittarius III’s and Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp, particularly of the same sex, revel in upsetting adults. Playing pranks is more the pair’s style than outright rebellion. Mischievous to the extreme, they are never happier than when they are pushing someone’s buttons. The onset of maturity is often clearly marked by the cessation of such activities.

Riotous Ridicule
The Week of Intensity, Oct. 26-Nov. 2 ─── with ─── The Week of Mystery & Imagination, Jan. 17-22
The focus of the relationship or matchup between Scorpio I and Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp can be a search for the strange, bizarre, out-of-the-way or oddball elements of life and experience. Scorpio I and Capricorn-Aquarius has a highly terrific sense of humour, and these can gel excellently well, while also providing a devastatingly effective weapon against adversaries and enemies. The Scorpio I-Capricorn Aquarius pair is particularly good at using ridicule to the discomfiture of others, but shows its health in being able to laugh at itself as well. If the relationship between Scorpio I and Capricorn Aquarius Cusp fosters extroverted and riotous behavior, the other side of the coin is its activation of the partners’ sinister and dark sides. These two can be violent on occasion, not just verbally but also physically, and this can later arouse mutual regret or guilt between the partners. Love affairs and marriages between Scorpio I’s and Capricorn Aquarians are quite passionate, intense,  light-hearted, fun, lively and rarely, if ever, dull. Both Scorpio I and Capricorn Aquarius partners give full rein to dramatic displays of feeling. Too often, however, they are just putting on a show. The deepest expressions of emotion and feeling between Scorpio I and Capricorn-Aquarius can emerge in the erotic, sexual sphere, which is inventive and puts few activities off limits. There is a crying need here for some sort of stability and consistency, since the relationship is quite capable of going completely off track if they aren’t careful, or at the very least off the deep end. Amusing, entertaining and adventuresome, friendships between scorpio I’s and Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp can be outstanding and excellent. Here the partners are rarely interested in pursuing the sure thing; their attitude is that there is little to lose and lots to gain by such behavior. It is also possible for Scorpio I and Capricorn Aquarius to engage in career or business endeavours together, or to become involved in social, religious or educational pursuits together. They will have to take care that these involvements do not become engrossing to the point where they exclude other important aspects of life such as family, career and friends. Sibling pairs in this combination may be continuously getting into trouble and mischief. This behavior is usually restricted to childhood or adolescence, but there is always the danger that it will lay the groundwork for asocial behavior in adulthood.
