Shovel knight: Blade of waves! - ''Liquid Samurai but they have their own campaign''
Finally, this project is done! :D With a trailer, intro and a whole book/bible like Shovel knight's art book! You can check all here
For those new, back in May I started a project of trying to imagine what would be like a campaing of the Liquid Samurais.
List of updates
FIRST IDEA/CONTEXT
UPDATE 1
UPDATE 2
UPDATE 3
UPDATE 4
Now let's start! :D
Intro - Check here
Tumblr media
Shovel knight: Blade of waves is a fan campaign of Shovel knight and a sequel to Shovel of hope story. The star of this story is Tomo, a liquid samurai who lost their bond with the Enchantress and is now free. With no apparent direction, their mission will be to stop the Snake and her 5 generals with the help of Shovel Knight and Shield Knight.
Major gameplay differences
At the start of each level with a boss, when Shovel Knight and Shield Knight join you, you can choose to have them help you with the battle or not. The food that Tomo uses to regenerate instead of being eaten, are flasks of liquid and for mana, pink will-o’-the-wisps. Tomo can find blue will-o’-the-wisps throughout the levels, similar to the Music sheets, this item unlocks a special skin. Tomo can unlock and buy relics with a necessary amount of insignia, which are obtained by defeating the former members of the order without quarter. A final boss and ending that continuous to the events of Shovel of hope to work as a sequel.
The story
First Quadrant
Tomo wakes up unconscious in the forest, tired and confused. They go into the plains, defeating all foes in their path. They then found Black Knight, who mistakes them for an enemy and attacks them. After defeating Black Knight, he notices the different way in which Tomo fights. They collapse on the floor and Black Knight brings them closer to a well- known tavern famous for collecting all kinds of people. When Tomo wakes up, Black Knight asks them if they are aware of the events with their lineage. Confused, Tomo asks Black Knight and he puts them in context, that 5 generals similar to them have come out of nowhere, who plan to recover the lands that were taken from the Enchantress. After catching up, Black Knight decides to give the liquid samurai a name, being this ‘’Tomo’’ to refer to them and recommending that they change their clothes so that people do not confuse them with the liquid samurai. Good luck for them, Black Knight points to a seamstress sitting across the tavern. Tomo must approach her to have the seamstress make a change of clothes for them, the first order is free. Tomo gets their current outfit and after talking to several NPCs, they leave the tavern. Tomo heads back into the woods to face the first 2 bosses (The the archer and the seamstress herself). He finds Shovel Knight on the archer level and Shield Knight on the seamstress level, gaining the friendship of both by winning. Upon returning to the tavern, Shovel Knight and Shield Knight will give Tomo more information about the other 3 generals left, along with the Snake.
Second Quadrant
Tomo, after defeating 2 more generals, will unlock a new skill for each general. Back at the tavern, Tomo, Shield Knight, and Shovel Knight talk about the last remaining general and how the rest of the generals, even though they’ve been causing trouble, seem to be frequenting the tavern as well. With no clues as to where the last general might be, Tomo searches for clues by talking to the 3 generals resting in the tavern. The seamstress will tell him that the missing general is the strongest of the 5, The mantis will tell him about the special technique he uses, the guardian will talk about his character, and the the archer will tell him that the last time he saw him was near a cave. Tomo, Shovel Knight, and Shield Knight get on the dragon’s back and it will take them to the cave.
Third Quadrant
Upon reaching the dark cave, Tomo, Shovel Knight and Shield Knight end up separated. Tomo continues straight through the cave until they end up in a very underground area, more underground than Mole Knight’s mines. At the end of the path they will meet another samurai, with the same appearance as them, but with a different palette. The spectre will challenge them to a duel and after defeating them, they will get an amulet that will help them in the future. Tomo will fall to the ground and wake up with Shield Knight moving them. Upon awakening, the 3 of them find themselves in the other part of the cave, to enter the territory of the last general. After defeating him, Tomo will get the last skill. At that moment, a new tower of fate will grow from the mountains.
The New Tower of Fate
Tomo, Shovel Knight and Shield Knigh will head to the new tower of fate that is a labyrinth. At the end of the labyrinth is the snake. The snake will call its generals and a boss rush will begin. After defeating the generals again, Tomo will face the snake and after being defeated, with the power of the crystal she will call her generals again to fuse them creating an aberration. After defeating the aberration, Tomo will use the amulet to separate the 5 generals and save them. The snek will appear and before it can attack, Tomo will launch himself to break the amulet on her head into pieces. Weakening the snake and together with Shovel Knight, Shield Knight and the 5 generals, they run out of the new tower of fate.
Credits sequence
After defeating the snake, everyone will celebrate the victory of the 3 heroes in the tavern. Tomo will earn the respect of many. As for the generals, the seamstress will leave their title of general and will dedicate themselves to fashion, giving Mr. Hat competition in the market. The mantis, along with the guardian, will keep their titles and make friendly spars and fighting competitions. The archer will join Troupple King as their vassal for having a noble heart and as for the last general, he will gather the rest of the remaining samurai to create a small clan where the samurai live peacefully with the rest of the living beings in the kingdom.
Tomo (The player)
Tomo, a liquid samurai who, having lost their bond with their queen, wanders around the kingdom aimlessly. Their name was given by Black Knight and they later teamed up with Shovel Knight and Shield Knight.

"Hey Even, Odd! Look what I brought this time!!" Wisp ran over to their sister's excitedly, offering Even an old mantis spearhead, and Odd a pretty purple rock from their explorations. (Blooming-Flame)
The two voidlings excitedly batted their tails, reaching out and taking their gifts from wispwith greatfullness.
Tumblr media
After a moment of admiring their objects, each of them glanced toward the flame in front of them with telling curiosity blooming in their eyes.
"How was your journey? Do tell your stories, you know how much odd likes them!"
She wouldnt admit it, but wisps stories were one of her favorite part of their visits. Odd just liked pocketing anything pretty their sister brought.

Hello!
Alec's Trueblood lines possibly making him the angelic equivalent to Magnus' level of royalty in Edom.
Perhaps a young warlock gets a summoning wrong and traps an angel (well, not quite an angel) in a circle instead of a greater demon.
oooooh okay so i jumped on this like a preying mantis on a grasshopper okay! i went a little bit of a different route so Alec could finally kick some ass and Magnus is a little out of it but this is basically. i hope you enjoy!
Trueblood Shadow!heir Alec is summoned instead of an angel across time and dimensions. No one has a good time
-
Magnus is wondering how he’s going to get them out of this, if he’s going to be able to get anyone besides himself free and safe from the nephilim currently using Magnus and four other warlocks to try and power their ritual. They’re summoning an angel, they said.
Their faces smug as terror had filled everyone around him and Magnus had known that out of all of them, he’s the only one who will survive. No angel will risk Asmodeus' wrath by smiting Magnus, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be hurt. That his heart can’t be ripped apart as he watches warlock children shivering in  fear from where Magnus’ hopes his protective magic and shield will keep them safe and invisible.
It’s the shadowhunters fault in the end, but Magnus still blames the warlocks who tries to save themselves by selling out what the nephilim considered ‘untrained power vessels’ and Magnus had arrived in time to stop the transaction and save the children, but the other warlocks he was fighting and himself were taken down. Magnus personally will let every drop of magic be drained from the adults around him and if he can, he’s going to rip it free from the array and use it to protect the children, some mere babes.
There’s a crackle of lightning and Magnus can feel the shock wave as the ritual starts, as frost fills the air until each breath crystallizes. At the sight of ice growing on the walls of the abandoned ruins they’re enclosed in, across the broken floor and up the crumbling towers.
A storm rages around them but for once, the rain no longer slips through, freezing and pausing in the air, a piece of captured starlight in crystal form, cold and bright and glittering all around him. It’s beautiful and terrifying and Magnus tries so hard not to feel fear but for the first time in a long time, Magnus wonders if he’s miscalculated.
The summoning was a success he realizes and Magus knows then that he never thought it would be, that he’d deluded himself into thinking he could hold out until Ragnor or Cat show up.  Instead he watches as the world turns dark except for the icy stars and then there’s a crack, like a glacier being broken open and everyone who isn’t magically secured and bound to the array is blown back.  Some of the shadowhunters remain conscious but it’s with vicious glee that Magnus watches as several of them get smashed into the stones of the decaying castle with splintering cracks of bone that echo in the hollow silence.
The being is glowing, a silver blue light that is an ethereal wisp as the being slowly floats to the ground, four large, long wings trailed out behind it. The eyes look a silver, inhuman blue, more lines criss crossing and overlapping than an iris and a pupil. It casts a long, writhing shadow that is less in the shape of the angel and more in the shape of a hungry maw.
“What is this?” It asks and Magnus is surprised by the low, smooth almost soothing timbre of the voice. Though, Magnus thinks, it would make unfortunate sense if angels were able to charm with their voices, probably why the mundanes accepted the stupid offer from Raziel in the first place.
“Great angel—” one still standing shadowhunter starts. “Forgive us for bringing you here with such disgusting methods.” He kicks at one of the, no longer necessary Magnus supposes, warlocks. “We are indeed of your divine righteousness! To help us cleanse the world of downworlder scum.”
“Are you serious right now?” the being asks and Magnus wonders if he has a concussion because he could swear the angel sounds confused. "Is that? Why is my husband here?”
And suddenly everything goes very wrong, for the shadowhunters.
Because the angel is beyond furious and Magnus watches with a thrilled sense of horror as what looked like long, soft plumage shudders and shines and turns to pure, sharp and deadly adamas. The shadowhunters all gasp and kneel in delighted awe and shadows peel from the floor to wrap around them as the angel steps out of the array, crossing over to a kneeling form and Magnus watches as two of them are beheaded with the easy flap of a razor sharp wing-tip. And then the angel spins, wings flared out and like arrows, feathers shoot out, finding the necks of every shadowhunters still breathing.
“Oh fuck, just what did they do?” Magnus is being asked next, instead of that deadly plumage in his own neck and he’s looking into eyes that look hazel under the inhuman blue. Then cool hands are pulling him up, picking him from the ground. “Magnus?” And then Magnus feels a hand against the side of his neck but instead of squeezing, there is pure ice being delivered into him, cold, powerful energy that burns as it writhes through him and replenishes his reserves. “Summoning a fucking angel, honestly. I thought we were done with this bullshit. Of all the things, I swear if this is because we ate the cup that one time, I’m going to be pissed.”
“You ate a cup?” Magnus finds himself asking which is still better than commenting that an angel swears. Especially when he's dazed and still shocked by how gently he’s being touched, by how powerful and invulnerable he suddenly feels. “That doesn’t seem very tasty.” Because it doesn't and honestly, Magnus feels disappointed, he'd rather have learned angels didn't eat or only drank ambrosia than learn they eat dishes.
“Oh gods, fuck you’re high as a kite on magical shock. Okay, babe what do I need to do, what are my priorities?”
“You’re going to listen to me?” Magnus asks because while shadowhunters might think they can command an ancient being, Magnus never once has made that same assumption.
“Of course.” He’s promised and what feels like a kiss is pressed to the top of his head. “I always listen to you—” and there is a muttered ‘mostly’ that he misses. “As long as you don’t try to convince me that the best way to get over something that makes me angry is to set it on fire, again. I’m not sure Imogen’s office can survive a second inferno.”
“They can stay. Trapped.” Magnus clarified, because he doesn’t want the other warlocks dead. He wants them strung up in front of the council and verbally and physically lashed until their blood and pain is a tenth of the terror the children they stole felt.
“Okay, and the kids? Are they safe to move? Are any of them hurt? Are they coming with us?”
“Yes.” Magnus says because he can’t leave them here and the angel he knows is better than the one he doesn’t. “With me.”
“Mkay, I’m going to send a message to Cat.” And Magnus wonders how this being knows Cat and if it’s reading his mind, “okay. I’m not going to message Cat.” But instead of a fire message he brings out some strange, eldritch artifact that glows and hums angrily at its wielder. “Okay, no service. Great. Well, a fire message won’t work since she’s still at the Labyrinth. You have enough energy for a portal?”
Magnus does, somehow but he’s still surprised when he’s led over to the hidden children and the angel helps him stay upright. Hold him as Magnus opens a portal and then keeps him on his feet as Magnus sends the children through. He closes the portal instantly and opens a new one, not wanting to take the angel to the children, even if Magnus doubts a change in portal would truly stop him.
Magnus gets through the portal and then the angel, his angel that is still following him obediently shudders, a look of shock on his face as he takes in the lair and something hopeless and heartbreaking when he turns and now in a place with proper lighting, Magnus marvels at how human it’s face is.
“Magnus?” He’s asked and Magnus nods, because obviously he is and then his angel’s wings flutter, its expression falling and it’s dropping in what almost looks like a faint, a strange, fallen image of divinity.
Magnus summons a drink and lets himself slump, still staring at the angel as he wonders just what he’s gotten himself into this time.

Write Time: Day Thirteen
This month, my goal is a cool 30 000 words written. I’ll be carrying on with more RAVENOT. If you’re curious, you can take a look at my WIP intro right here. And if you’re really keen, you can read the first chapter (sort of a pilot as I toil) right here! Now onto the daily ramble.
I'm playing catch-up today with something of a vengeance because I know that my beloved husband will be reading my work later today while waiting for their mother to have a doctor's appointment. So I'd like there to be something to pass the time. I'm very excited about this new structure for RAVENOT, I think approaching it as a number of episodic novellas is really right for the character and for the story. I also get to learn so much about the world I'm writing in, just through what I discover in these novellas. I was also quite heartened to learn that Hideyuki Kikuchi was my age when he began writing his Vampire Hunter: D novels, and he's still writing them quite happily, and successfully today. So who knows what the future holds for Ravenot and I? An excerpt, for today!
Tumblr media
When the attack finally came, Ravenot evaded it without looking, canting his head to one side to avoid the sudden thrust of a long, sharp beak. Had he been less wary, it would have pierced him through like a spear. "Rats! I thought I had you." The fey giggled, dancing back from Ravenot as they turned, one hand resting on the hilt of their longsword. This fey was not afflicted with the rot that Ravenot had seen on the others, and stood towering over him. She had the head of a heron, but her torso was humanoid, long arms crossed over her chest. Nestled in her hollow ribcage was a human head, and it was with this that she spoke. She had a mantis' raptorials, long serrated limbs, ready to grasp and ensnare, and he had heard the fluttering of her wings when she retreated from him. The wisps jingled around him, scattering in their panic, and cursing the end of their entertainment. "I will not quarrel with thee," said Ravenot. "I have come to help. There is—" "A rot, in the woods," the fey interrupted. "I know. I've seen it. Shall I tell you where?" "I need no favors." That made the fey snap at him again, and he was swift enough in ducking that her beak did not catch so much as a hair from his head. That sharp point had surely snatched up eyes and tongues, had punched holes through unwary throats. "Rats!" As she drew nearer, Ravenot could see the chitinous quality of her skin, even where it had at first seemed like feathers. Not so tough that his blade could not sunder it, if need be. The fey were not as precious about such things as mortals were. "'Tis summer," said Ravenot, though they did not yet draw their weapon. "Art thou certain 'twould be wise to play with me?" "I know you," said the fey, her long heron's neck retracting sullenly, "and I know the perils of the season." "I know thee too," said Ravenot. "But I would fainly leave thy name unuttered. Do not offer at me again." That made the fey suck in her breath, the teeth of the head in her belly chattering with displeasure. "I don't believe you," she said. But she did not strike at him a third time.

"If I am not interrupting," Andreja said, "there was something I wished to ask you."
"Of course," Cait replied, a little awkwardly. It wasn't Andreja's fault Cait always felt off-balance around her; she just hoped Andreja hadn't noticed. "What do you need?"
Her hopes were dashed with Andreja's next words. "Have I done something to trouble you?" Andreja looked intently at her. "I have noticed you seem… uncomfortable… in my presence."
Words echoed through her thoughts—the possible answers she could make, how Andreja could then respond in turn... "No, you're not bothering me—" I had thought you respected me more than to tell an untruth… "It's something I can manage for myself—" Clearly, it is not, since the problem continues… "I'd rather not talk about it right now—" Very well, but the situation will not resolve itself…
She took a deep breath; her hand found its way into her pocket and closed around the cool curves of her worrystone. She focused on it, dense and real and present in the here-and-now, and forced the yammering echoes down into silence. "You're right," she finally said. "I am a little uncomfortable around you. But…" she let out the held breath, "It's not anything you did."
Andreja studied Cait for a long moment with those cool predator's eyes of hers; an answering darkness shifted inside her. They'd told Andreja about her empathy when she'd come aboard—something she needed to know, right up there with her being the Mantis—but Cait had never quite been sure if Andreja appreciated what that meant. "Ah. I wondered if that might be the case," she said. "I… regret… that what I am frightens you."
Cait frowned, shaking her head. "It's not what you are that frightens me." She glanced up at Andreja's face, and it was her own inner predator that met the other's gaze. "It's what I am. You just happen to—" she hunted for the right word "—resonate—with it."
"Like meeting like," Andreja acknowledged. "You understood so clearly about the Zealots; I thought we might have common ground."
"That was just—" Cait felt herself flush. "I mean, it's pretty obvious—to me, anyway—that you're Va'ruun." That surprised Andreja, made her recoil back in her seat. Cait added hastily, "And not a zealot, which made it not my business." She looked away. "I just… I know what it's like to feel hunted."
The tension evaporated from Andreja like rain flashing into steam off hot plascrete. "I see. I… thank you for your restraint." She tilted her head, cautiously. "You should know that Vlad and Sarah are both… aware… of my history, at least in some part. So if you have some concern about my… suitability…?" Though her face was as calm as ever, Cait could sense the faintest hint of vulnerability wisping around Andreja's words. It startled her as much as the words themselves.
"What? No, nothing like that." Again, she shook her head. "Vlad trusts you—Cora likes you—" that got a quiet chuckle, "and I'm not exactly a poor judge of character myself." Andreja was clean and sharp like a knife, true, but no poison marred that blade. "And on top of all that, Sam trusts you with his daughter." Cait lifted one shoulder in a shrug. "I think that says it all, don't you?"
Andreja's lips curved in a faint smile. "Indeed. Our Sam may play the jester on occasion, but those who mistake it for reality are the true fools." Cait let out a covert breath, only to tense up again as Andreja added, "So, if it is not me that you fear, tell me: why do you fear yourself?"
"Why don't you?" The return question was out of Cait's mouth before she realized it; she flushed. "I'm—that was—"
"An understandable question," Andreja interrupted gently. "I was trained to be so, in the way of my family; my training was chosen to fit my inclinations." Cait felt almost pinned by the intensity of Andreja's gaze. "You, I think, were not so fortunate."
"My training, what little there was of it, was in… exploration." Cait didn't quite succeed at squashing the faint note of bitterness at the thought. "Not to be…" She trailed off, unable—or unwilling—to put words to that shadow within her.
"Dangerous?" Andreja's voice was soft, almost sympathetic. "Efficient?"
Cait hesitated for a long moment, caught in a moment of indecision. Sam would listen to anything she wanted to tell him, she knew that, but she recoiled at the thought. He was already carrying so much of the weight of her past, and this—she couldn't drop this on Sam's shoulders. Andreja, though, might not judge her too harshly. Might even understand—like meeting like.
"More… savage," Cait finally said, her voice equally quiet. "And I don't—I don't know why. I've always believed that violence is a last resort. So why am I so good at it? Even—even knowing what it's going to do to me, every time, I don't hesitate. And there's a part of me that enjoys it. That wants more." She dropped her head into her hands. "Makes me question how much of me is still human," she admitted.
"Savagery, I fear, is still very much a part of the human condition," Andreja's words were woven around with understanding, swiftly transmuted into genuine astonishment. "But I do not understand. You have the gift to look into others' hearts—you do not know this?"

Where some is in the
Left On Their Own Terms Au
Or the new canon dsmp ending rewrite bc yeeee <3
First to go was Vian who of course headed to Utah where he actually has made a friend and she’s helping him become a better person by being his friend
Mahogany would decide to go find Vian and would have Whiterose come along to protect them but they drop the royalty and knight theming pretty fast to instead wear cottagecore outfits like Mahogany’s embroidered strawberry shirt! From back in Lmanburg :0
Myotis found Mahogany’s cave and now the vampire tells people stories abt the monster of the caves gigantic canine creature with freaky white eyes (he also likes looking through Mahogany’s stuff)
Next to head out was the syndicate(+komo) who went to the end and they can’t really get out given they befriended the Ender dragon given she’s conscious
Nutmeg managed the revival project especially given a certain item Mahogany left for him before leaving of a revival book so he revived Ender first then Comet and now Comet and Nutmeg are out on their own adventure
Ender got revived and actually went with Mac to the nether so the kid could keep growing up there and Ender also took Morgan bc Hydra and Komo were missing
Bee started becoming a merchant and often brings gold to Ender and Mac in the nether given that’s his family!
Frog decided it was time to go finally leave his mistakes and Sam went along showing a bit to Frog he’ll always have his mistakes…..maybe he should stop seeing them as mistakes?
Aloe went with Frog and Sam definitely not bc she’s looking for a end portal given she’s definitely not a syndicate member
Wisp was planning to get back to walking and actually suggested Cas come with him which Cas was hesitant but he just got himself and Coin ready and now out there there is three fox anthros walking south given south has less people
Coal made a big decision and cut his deal to be friends forever with Bee given the total memory wipe that would happen given currently Coal can have help with that but if he stayed longer he possibly couldn’t so now he’s in the nether with his family following! Muffins is teaching her kid how to survive the nether while Diamond watches
Mantis is with them but with something interesting….the egg hatched and Trix is along for the ride
Patch learned he was the time and dream god and with that has just gotten all the tales people back then he worked with Carrot on they’re deal and now Patch leads a group of friends from other times and Carrot is in the back making sure no one runs off
Hanulilly was the next to leave just using her fairy wings to maybe fly out somewhere where she can be a good person again or just lay in a flower field till she passed…..she did the ladder………..
With so much less customers to the McKomo’s Milkweed just left universe back into the multiverse
Demi learned he was top god so first dropped Antler off with the tales group then Demi began to do too god stuff no longer having time for much in between top god stuff and helping Fin and Frazer learn how to be gods
One time when Cypress wasn’t gambling and with the knowledge they were severely understaffed Franklin decided Las Nevadas was over and just told Slime then the two blew it up and left on a boat giggling abt how they just destroyed the entire legacy while drunk…..even when sober they believe it was the right decision
Cypress after Las Nevadas was destroyed now just spends time looking around the server and taking care of everyone’s old pets……especially the ones Hydra had in the underground city……….he wishes he could make it up to her but she’s just missing so he’ll take care of a cat and a enderman
Astin had had a chance to actually go back to space back when Whiterose got something working so Whiterose could send his kids back to space out of this but….Astin didn’t take it instead him and Chord are living in a cottage with a bunch of sheep and are raising Saylor together while Chord also has tamed a dog recently and is training the dog with Champ’s tasks? Astin isn’t seeing Champ is getting old but Chord is so is preparing something for him
Mahogany would eventually talk to Vian then track everyone down and say their goodbyes before leaving universe at peace on their own terms back out into the multiverse onto another adventure

Mantis (Green) did something that Viper (Cyan) is dragging them for, and Raven (Pink) doesn't like it . . . I love background wisp shenanigans

Not how she expected to spend her afterlife but okay. So much to rest in peace.
They were a trio at first. Neither of them were willing to go along with the chairman rules but since the ghost council has such a tight grip on the ghost world and can summon you easily, they were not all too thrilled about not receiving any scare reports or not any misery numbers going up.
Smithy was sent to the flow of failed phantoms as a result. As the ringleader and the adult of the situation, the ghost council decided to make an example of him.
Claire actually had a future vision about Smithy getting sent there, but they never knew when it would happen. Smithy decided to make the best of it until then - it pains her that she couldn’t prevent it from happening.
Claire and Slinger bend the rules of the ghost world or find loopholes.
They haunt places, but they make sure the ones they haunt are awful people.
Claire spends a lot of time exploring the ghost world and reading books or scrolls just so she can find out more about this place.
They attend the ghosts seminars - rather because everyone is forced to visit them. She always pays close attention - Slinger thinks they are really boring (because it is the same one every year), falls asleep or tries to distract himself - or finds ways to ditch out entirely.
She haunts places she was assigned to like the rest of the ghosts to feed misery to the chairman. Her main targets are awful people.
Strangely enough, her misery number is high regardless. As someone who was into the supernatural when she was alive, Claire goes all out with her performances - there are rare moments when she uses the even scarier ghosts forms.
Unfortunately, the reason why her misery numbers are so high is because she has a tendency to get carried away with it. Slinger actually has to stop her at times from going too far.
She prefers to be completely invisible when messing with Mimic though. She finds the "come back as a ghost to haunt the one who got you killed“ too cliche and partly an insult. She knows Mimic likely won’t give her the reaction she wants through that, so she finds more amusing ways to do it. Nothing to make him think he is being haunted, but certainly enough of an attempt to drive him crazy.
She actually fazed through Mimic once. She found his reaction hilarious.
She considers the ability to throw curses around the one good thing that came out of this mess. She absolutely loooves experimenting with them! Claire knows there is the rare and forbidden curse book that only the chairman has access to, but she still wants to get her hands on it somehow.
She is just as dramatic as Scratch once she curses. She wants to get the spooky vibes right.
Claire possessing someone does unfortunately not work for her the same way it does with other ghosts. With her psychic powers, once she possesses someone she is able to see their past and future. She is not comfortable prying into someone‘s mind like that. People are also more aware who and what just possessed them because of a shared mind link.
She has briefly considered possessing Mimic just to put him into a situations of accidents (falling down a bunch of stairs) but decided against it for that reason.
Sometimes she will just watch Whisper. She sometimes leaves little trinkets for her or her beloved wisp, Mantis, that she knows they will enjoy. She will try little things to make Whisper feel better without the wolf realizing there is a ghost with her. This one is quite risky because the misery numbers will decline and it’s likely to get her in trouble with the ghost council.
Much as she would like to show herself to Whisper, that is not something she can do. The living belong with the living and the dead belong with the dead. Friendship with a living person is a serious charge and she knows she will be sent to the flow of failed phantoms for it. For now, she is fine with trying to cheer up Whisper with little things.
Likely will reveal herself once the chairman is killed and Scratch becomes the ruler of the ghost world.

"God doesn't give with both hands."
Just a quick run down of Dove's life TW(mostly non-graphic description): Murder, abuse of a minor in many ways, bullying, amputation, eye injury, basically many bad things have happened to this sweet angel but I won't ever be putting anything in graphic detail on this blog.
Dove was born in 2054 to a couple living on the outskirts of Night City. When their small town was attacked she was the only survivor, taken in by the Raffens who raized the town around her for fun, scrap, and supplies. The Wraith couple that pulled her from her dead father's grasp saw the potential to raise her in their ranks or dispose of her when they grew tired. They mockingly named her, seeing her white-blonde wisps.
As far as parents go, they kept her fed, mostly kibble, enough to stay alive. They weren't the worst of the Raffens, but had a heavy hand that matched their neverending strictness. When she was 7 there was an accident with CHOOH2 that left her blinded. Everyone arguing over whether she'd be easier to dispatch over the loss instead of finding her new optics is something she'll never forget. They gave her an unmatched pair pulled out of two dead nomads they “came across” months later that she had to work to earn back the lost eddies. Mostly given “bitch work” of cleaning guns, doing laundry, and patching up clan members in the med tent, she enjoyed it. It wasn't hard to stay out of trouble until the other younger kids noticed she was different. Softer, kinder, weaker.
At 13 both of her parents died in a raid. She didn't miss them. Without them around, Dove did her best to blend and not make a fuss. Taking the cruelty without a complaint and getting her tasks done to be valuable. It was all she knew anyway. Wraiths weren't kind to anyone, not even each other. Unless, of course, they needed something and someone further up the food chain had it. Her only friend was Jonah, a boy a few years older than her who snuck her extra food and distracted the other kids from any ire they felt towards her.
When she was 16 she klepped a cigarette from someone's belongings and he chose to remove her right arm above the elbow in front of the entire clan as punishment for stealing- she wouldn't get a cyberarm until she was 20 and could afford one with smuggling money. This is where her hatred of mantis blades stems from. Shortly after losing her arm, she and Jonah had a falling out and he leaves for Night City, having begged her to join him but she declined.
Without Jonah to supplement her needs, she had to start taking on smuggling jobs into the city or risk death. These trips were her first time entering the city. Most of her jobs were drug and stolen cyberware related. Very few hiccups. She rubbed elbows with mostly Maelstrom supplying Totentanz with a steady stream of illicit goods and tech picked up from Badlands raids.
When she was 19 she helped a captive of her clan escape which set off the chain of events that lead to her leaving herself, finally ready without outside influence to attempt to make it on her own in the city.

Okay OKAY last post for the day, I promise. This is Wisp and Aurua, the other two members of my nuzlocke team. I got INSANELY lucky with Aurua!
Wisp looks more like a mantis than a butterfly because I think it’s cool. My house, my rules!
