During my mourning I’ve read a lot of beautiful, thoughtful discourse over Endgame and Tony’s sacrifice.  However, I noticed that a lot of people have missed something absolutely vital.  

That, yes, Tony saved all life in the universe.  But, not only that, and perhaps just as importantly, he saved the fabric of the universe itself.  

See, alternate timeline Thanos didn’t simply want to erase life and create his own version of it.  After seeing the Avengers defeat the original Thanos and reverse the Snap, he wanted to ensure that there would be no risk his control could be challenged again.  Rather than alter the existing universe he would snap his fingers and reduce MCU Universe-19999 into atom soup to create some twisted facsimile of the universe in his image.  

We would watch as all life across all the galaxies of the universe turned to dust.  We would watch as every star went black in the night sky.  As the laws of physics failed and the laws of time crumbled so it was as if they had never existed at all.  

In every way that mattered, everything and everyone, past, present, future, would cease to exist. In a worse way, it would be as if they had never existed at all.  

Tony knows that the second the threat leaves Thanos’ mouth. He realizes when Thanos snaps his fingers a second time there will be no bringing anyone back, because there will be quarks and atomic sludge where his universe once stood.

So when people say, “Tony Stark, died to save the world,” that’s not strictly true.

Tony Stark died to save every last atom, living and otherwise, at every point and place and time in the universe.

He deserved his happy ending.  

Instead, he chose to ensure infinite numbers of other lives would be able to find their own happy ending throughout all of time in the universe he had preserved.

Thank you, Tony.  

You deserve your rest.

“Not Again Reese”

I’m not a great drawer, not by no stretch of the imagination am I great. I stopped drawing properly about 6 years ago cause I lost my confidence but after getting some great encouragement from a few close friends, I gave my creative mind a stretch and drew something from scratch....and came up with this.....Pine hugging a battered and bloodied Reese.

It ain’t great and there is room for improvement but after 6 years of not putting down a decent drawing on paper....think I ain’t done too badly.
