Change is the only constant in the Universe, the only thing you can truly rely on, more certain than taxes. The more you resist it, the stronger its energy becomes. What this means, on a personal level, is that the more you resist change, the more uncomfortable you are going to become.

 

Change is one of those things that has to happen. If you allow yourself to be flexible and accept change into your life, things change more gradually and you may not even really feel it most of the time. If you resist gradual change, you set up a situation where a large change will be necessary in order to restore balance in your life.

Make a habit of seeking out the small changes in your life, and embracing them, so that you start to think of change in a positive light. This will grease the wheels so that change becomes, for the most part, a comfortable occurrence in your life. Every time you find yourself tensing up and fighting change, consciously relax your body and your emotions, and let go.

This is the back cover of the insert for the Talk Amongst Yourselves LP

This photo was taken at an abandoned house in Staughton Vale. The room was a covered in black mould, the flooring had huge holes in it allowing plenty of room for you to fall through. The scene looked like this when we got there. We changed nothing.

Staring out the window at the telephone wires like pencil lines in the sky, Emma watched as the bushes moved with angst in directions opposing the wind, and the far off silhouettes of etcho-sketch mountains and clouds that moved in haste as if coming home way past curfew.

And while the landscape sped by, and still with no idea where they were going, she wondered if these would be the last things she ever saw.
