٭❀٭٭❀٭ Sweetening Jars ٭❀٭٭❀٭
Tumblr media
The basic function of a sweetening jar is to... sweeten! This spell can be used for relationships, situations, groups, organizations- really anything you'd like to make sweet towards the recipient.
Originally from hoodoo and folk magic, Sweetening jars have been used for centuries and in many different pagan and spiritual practices. Here are some variations of this spell:
Honey Jars
Tumblr media
Perhaps the most widely used and known version of a sweetening jar is the honey jar. Many places around the world did not have access to sugar (or it was extremely expensive) for a good long while. Honey was often the main source of sweetness and was more readily available for use in magic.
Slow & Sweet:
Honey is a natural sweetener that undergoes a slow transformation as it is created. The nature of how it moves & flows is steady and slow. Magic incorporating honey will be slower, but the effects might be longer lasting. Sometimes fast working magic isn't always the answer, such as when we want a situation or person to slowly sweeten towards us over time. This is the place and time for honey jars!
How to Make a Honey Jar:
Also See:
Prepping For a Spell
Setting Up a Ritual Space For Spellwork
Components needed:
Honey
Jar/container with a lid
paper and pen
Casting:
Intention is everything, and all ingredients/components in a spell must know why they are there working for you. Make sure your intentions are clear going into the spell. Tell the honey that it is here to sweeten your intended person/place/thing/situation. Let your jar know that it is the container of this spell and these energies. Set powerful intention as you continue through the steps.
Begin to fill your container with the honey. About halfway full, pause and write out the recipient of the spell's full name on one side of the paper, and the target upside down adjacent to the recipient so as you fold the paper in half, the names meet.
Add the folded paper into the jar, then continue filling to the top, sealing with (yes) intention. Optionally you can light a candle of corresponding color on top of the jar, either sealing it with the wax (if you intend to not re-open it) or just letting the energy of the fire boost the working. You may add as many situations or people into the sweetening jar over time as you see fit.
Remember, honey moves slowly. Keep this in mind, as the energies may be powerful but slower working. Set the honey jar on an altar or in a space you often pass by in the home, re-energizing the jar every time you see it.
Sugar Jars
Tumblr media
Sugar is another effective way of creating a sweetening jar. In this method, water is used as a vessel to contain and amplify the sugar. Water is faster moving than honey, so this version of the spell is best for workings that need to be fast acting.
Water is Receptive:
Water is one of the most powerful magical tools available to us. Our bodies are mostly water, we drink it in order to survive, it ensures that our planet and all living things thrive and grow. In combination with sugar, we have a highly effective mixture for ushering in an abundance of sweetness.
How to Make a Sugar Jar:
Components needed:
Sugar
Water
Jar/container
Paper & pen
Casting:
As stated above, intention is everything. Speak your intentions to your tools. Fill your jar/container with water, then scoop in the sugar while thinking about your desired outcome. Fill the water until it is properly saturated with sugar (it should be so sweet you wouldn't want to drink it). Once again, write the names across from each other on the paper, fold it, then add it to the jar. You can even add some glitter for added effect. Close the jar, then swirl the liquid creating a vortex inside. Seal the spell with a candle if you see fit and leave it on an altar or commonly seen space in your home. Swirl it to re-activate the spell.
This spell is highly effective if you are in need of fast acting magic and sweetness, but it may not be as long lasting as a honey jar. Try making one of each for the benefits of both spells.
In Conclusion:
Sweetening jars are a great way to bring some sweetness/love/luck into your life. They can be used to sweeten relationships, situations, groups, and even for self-love. Honey jars are slow moving but long lasting, and sugar jars are fast acting but shorter lasting. This magic is great for beginners and experienced witches alike. Go forth and add some sweetness to your life!

Explain the basic: Shielding and Banishing
Tumblr media
Shielding and banishing are two of the most important things you have to learn before you start your journey as a witch. Both practices are essential for maintaining energetic boundaries and ensuring a safe environment for magical or spiritual work. used to protect oneself from negative energies, entities, or influences and to remove unwanted energies or entities from a space. Here's a breakdown of shielding and banishing in witchcraft:
Shielding:
Shielding involves creating a protective barrier around oneself, which acts as a defense against negative energies or influences. It helps maintain personal boundaries and prevents unwanted energies from affecting one's well-being. Common methods of shielding include:
Visualization: Visualizing a shield of white light, a protective bubble, or an impenetrable barrier around your body. This visualization can be accompanied by the intention of repelling negativity while allowing positive energies to flow.
Energy Manipulation: Drawing upon personal energy or universal energy to create a protective shield. This can involve using hand movements, gestures, or energy manipulation techniques to form and maintain the shield.
Use of Objects or Symbols: Carrying protective talismans, amulets, or symbols such as pentagrams, runes, or protective sigils that represent personal protection. These items can aid in maintaining the shield's strength.
Banishing:
Banishing refers to the act of removing negative energies, entities, or influences from a person, place, or space. It's a method used to cleanse and purify an area or oneself from unwanted energies. Common practices for banishing include:
Smudging [which is a closed practice]or Cleansing: Burning herbs like [sage, palo santo], or cedar to clear a space of negative energies. Using the smoke to cleanse and purify the environment.
Salt or Protective Circles: Sprinkling salt around a space or creating a protective circle by physically drawing or visualizing it to keep unwanted energies out or to contain them within the circle for removal.
Rituals and Spells: Performing rituals or casting spells specifically designed for banishing. This involves using candles, herbs, oils, and specific incantations to remove negative influences or energies.
Invocation of Higher Powers: Calling upon higher spiritual entities, deities, or guides associated with protection or cleansing to aid in banishing unwanted energies or entities.

Beginners guide to manifesting!!
By love4ng1e 𝜗𝜚
Requested by @limitless180
Tumblr media
You asked for techniques, but Imma give you the whole pack because i'm cool like that. I'm going to keep it simple so you don't overcomsume. I said this was going to take a day or so, but never mind because I manifested time to make this.
I did a separate post on some of those stuff, but this is it all together. This is the only post you need.
─────── ༺ ❦︎ ༻ ───────
1.0: What is manifesting?
By simple definition manifesting is getting what you want. There is no need to make it any more complicated.
2.0: How to manifest?
There's multiple ways to manifest and there's no wrong or bad way.
I am a master manifestor, so I'll be honest and say that I do absolutely nothing to manifest except simply just acting like a master manifestor. I'll still give you ways I used that worked for me when I was a beginner, and that works for other people, too.
2.1: Robotic affirming.
Robotic affirming is repeatedly repeating any affirmation of your choice. What that does is reinforce that you have your desire and then plays out in your 3d (I will talk about the 3d a little farther).
It's very important to persist when it comes to this technique. Your affirm until it is factual in the 3d. You do not take no for an answer. It has no choice, but to manifest.
You repeat the affirmation any time. Regardless of what you're doing. As much as you want/feel necessary. Before falling asleep and first thing in the morning are both very powerful times. If you tend to forget, you can set alarms.
If this gets tiring to you, please switch techniques. This isn't for everyone.
2.2: Subliminals.
Subliminals are hidden affirmations under music/sounds. These affirmations directly bypass the conscious mind, directly to the subconscious mind (I also will talk about that a bit farther).
There are plenty of subliminal channels out there, but not all of them are trustworthy.
Good ones are:
I want it, I got it > link (she's my personal fav)
Cee > link
Baejin Cafe > link
Moza Morph > link
Kottie > link
Eve > link
Enchanted Workshop > link
Crystie > link
The best way to know if a subliminal channel is trustworthy is to read the comments. If there's none, I would stay away.
You can listen whenever you want. Headphones/Airpods are recommended.
2.3: Vision boards.
You can use pinterest for that. You simply make a board full of pins of what it is you want to manifest. For example, if you want a cat, you make a vision board full of cats. After that, you visualize it anytime you want. You can mediate while visualizing.
2.4 The law of assumption/loa.
The law of assumption/loa, also just called the law, was popularized by Neville Goddard, It focuses on your belief system. The core idea is whatever you assume to be true will manifest in your life.
Assume the feeling of wish fulfilled - Instead of focusing on attracting something external, you convince yourself that you already have it internally. That belief shifts your reality to align with that assumption.
Step 1: Identify what you want.
Step 2: Assume it's already yours. Feel and act as if your desires is already yours.
Step 3: Persist in the assumption. Even if your external reality doesn't reflect it yet, hold on to the belief until it manifests.
3.0: The 3d and the 4d.
There's the 3d and the 4d. The 3d is your physical world/external world. The 4d is imagination. Imagination is creation. Manifestation happens in the 4d.
The 4d is the only thing you need to focus on. Nobody cares about the 3d. The 4d is where everything happens, and then it shows up in the 3d. Therefore, circumstances do not matter.
Also time does not apply in the 4d so do not wait for your desires. It is already yours.
3.1: The conscious mind and the subconscious mind.
This is my personal take on the conscious mind and the subconscious mind.
The conscious mind is the main part of your brain. It has rules and uses logic as its main principle. You live in xyz country, with xyz people, you go to xyz school, whatever.
The subconscious mind is more hidden. It's sort of like a blank canvas. It's influenced by the conscious mind. Whatever you get it to believe will show up in your reality. Logic is not its main principle, so nothing is impossible or absurd.
You do not need to convince the subconscious mind to manifest, but it can be helpful.
─────── ༺ ❦︎ ༻ ───────
─────── ༺ ❦︎ ༻ ───────
I hope I could be of help! Much love.
"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." - Albert Einstein.

Full Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse March 14/15 - for shifters : a releasing ritual (beginner safe) **
Information :
ℱull moons are associated with release, completion and heightened emotions. You may feel exhausted, sensitive and irritated during this time.
This is not the time to begin any manifestation or to set new intentions. Now is time for cleansing and reflecting. Also a good time for shadow work.
* with this ritual it will help you release any beliefs that have been hindering your success rate in shifting or manifesting.
Ritual : Option One
- get a piece of paper and a pen. Write down any beliefs that have been coming up that you can’t seem to shake. Examples:
“I let go of the belief that I need to stay completely still in order to shift.”
“I let go of the belief that I can only shift if I script everything beforehand.”
“I let go of the belief that I must shift within a certain time period or time of day.”
“I let go of the belief that shifting is extra difficult for myself, and that I must try harder than others.”
“I let go of the belief that shifting takes a long time to achieve.”
“I release the belief that becoming aware of another reality is out of my reach.”
“I release the belief that I need tools in order to successfully and completely shift.”
“I release the belief that I need to feel symptoms to feel confident I’m really shifting.”
“I release the belief that intrusive thoughts set me back.”
- Or you can simply write along the lines of :
“I let go of all bad habits and limiting beliefs that are restricting me and keeping me in stagnant energy.”
* but I find targeting spectic beliefs that keep coming up for you to be more effective.
- Grab a clear bottle or container with a lid. Fill it with water and go outside. Put your paper on the ground, somewhere the moonlight will reach it. Leave it overnight.
- The next morning go outside and collect everything. You can dispose the paper in any way, burning it, in the trash. With the water, pour it down the drain and imagine all those beliefs/limits/restrictions you had before, being released and purged.
Ritual : Option Two
- pour some salt into your left hand. Rub your hands together and state or think in your head about what has been holding you back from achieving your manifestions. Is it people? Your beliefs? Habits? Irrational anxieties?
* Salt is associated with purity, preservation, fidelity. As you’ve probably seen it used in riruals like the blessing of holy water and in circles or lines to keep out evil spirits. Salt absorbs impurities.
- once you’ve expressed everything, wash your hands under running water. Imagine it washing out all your negative beliefs, and energetic reset. And it’s nice cause the salt will have exfoliated your hands ^_^
- you can say an affirmation as you wash your hands to further visualise your energy being cleansed. Example:
“With this salt I cleanse myself of negative beliefs and obstacles that have kept me tied to stagnant energy. With this water I wash away what has kept me back from success. I open myself up to new opportunities.”
- Let your hands airdry.
*** If you’ve missed this moon, don’t worry. You can perform this any full moon or lunar eclipse.

VISUALISATION, CONTINUED.
A continuation from lessons in visualisation.
In this lesson, we will explore further techniques, how to maintain regular practice, and alternatives for visualisation for those who might find it harder than others.
Alternatives to visualising
Some people will struggle to visualise, whether that is because of their mental or physical health, an inability to sit still or to focus, or they cannot picture an image in their mind.
It is important to remember that we have other senses. Visualisation doesn't rely on sight alone, and though it may sound that way, it instead makes the basics of spellcasting and meditation inaccessible.
☆ Forget trying to picture things, that's not the be-all end-all. Try to feel things. To smell and hear and taste, to love and hate. Consider raindrops falling on every inch of your body, moving slowly from your head down to your toes; let the water cleanse you as it rolls off your skin. Even if you cannot see them, your body knows the sensation and the smell of rain on your body.
☆ If any type of sensory imagination is too hard, play music in the background instead. It doesn't have to be calming music in particular, just something you can enjoy and zone out to. (I have been known to meditate and even nap to breakcore). Let the rest of the world fade away as you absorb the music fully, listening to every note individually and as part of the whole. Alternatively, you can try counting. Just start counting, out loud or in your head, up from 1 or down from 1000, and let that be the only thing your mind focuses on - the steady rhythm of the numbers.
☆ Consider using white, brown, pink or green noise to help you focus too. White noise doesn't sound good to everyone, and the various types use different frequencies which can be soothing for some.
The whole idea is to move away from the focus of seeing things in your head, while still allowing you to build up energy when concentrating on an end goal like meditation or a spell.
How do I practice regularly?
Methods of visualisation can very easily be simplified to make them faster and easier for regular practice.
☆ You could try seeing or feeling the energy around you or around an object such as a crystal or a tree, or the energy moving through your body.
☆ Try closing your eyes when it’s sunny and recalling the feeling, smell and sound of rain. Or the other way around. Feel the warm sun on you in the winter, or a cosy fire in your hands.
A good idea is to practice during meditation as often as you can. Remember, being able to visualise in some form is incredibly useful for energy manipulation. (Including but not limited to shielding, centering, grounding, manifestation and wider spellwork).
As always, thank you for reading. Please drop a message/ask if you want to see anything particular in future lessons.

𝕬 𝕲𝖚𝖎𝖉𝖊 𝖙𝖔 𝕾𝖍𝖆𝖉𝖔𝖜 𝖂𝖔𝖗𝖐
Tumblr media
Shadow Work is a psychological and spiritual practice that involves exploring the unconscious or hidden parts of oneself, often referred to as the “shadow.” This concept, popularized by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, refers to the aspects of our personality that we reject, deny, or are unaware of. These can include repressed emotions, desires, and impulses that we consider unacceptable or undesirable.
The Purpose of Shadow Work
The goal of shadow work is to bring these hidden aspects into the light of consciousness. By acknowledging and integrating these parts, individuals can achieve greater self-awareness, healing, and personal growth. This process can lead to improved relationships, reduced emotional reactivity, and a more balanced, authentic self.
Steps to Begin Shadow Work
Self-Reflection: Start by setting aside time for introspection. Journaling is a powerful tool for this. Write about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, especially those that trigger strong emotional reactions.
Identify Triggers: Pay attention to situations and people that provoke intense emotions or reactions. These triggers often point to unresolved issues or aspects of your shadow self.
Meditation and Mindfulness: Practice mindfulness and meditation to observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This can help you become more aware of your inner landscape and the patterns that arise.
Inner Dialogue: Engage in a dialogue with your shadow self. This can be done through journaling or visualization techniques. Ask questions and listen to what your shadow has to say. This helps in understanding its origins and messages.
Seek Guidance: Working with a therapist, counselor, or spiritual guide can provide support and insight. They can help you navigate the deeper aspects of shadow work and offer techniques tailored to your needs.
Creative Expression: Use art, music, or other creative outlets to express and explore your shadow. Creativity can be a safe way to bring unconscious material to the surface.
Incorporating Shadow Work into Spirituality and Witchcraft
1. Rituals and Ceremonies:
Moon Phases: The waning moon is an excellent time for shadow work, as it symbolizes release and letting go. Create a ritual where you write down aspects of your shadow you wish to address and burn the paper as an act of transformation.
Samhain: This Sabbat festival, marks a time when the veil between worlds is thin. It’s an ideal period for introspection and shadow work. Set up an altar with symbols representing your shadow aspects and meditate on them.
2. Divination:
Tarot and Oracle Cards: Use these tools to gain insights into your shadow self. Draw cards with the intention of uncovering hidden aspects or issues that need attention.
Scrying: Practice scrying with a mirror or a bowl of water to tap into your subconscious mind. This can reveal images or messages related to your shadow.
3. Spellwork:
Protection and Grounding: Perform spells for protection and grounding before engaging in deep shadow work. This ensures you are energetically protected and stable.
Shadow Integration Spells: Create spells designed to help you integrate your shadow aspects. This can involve using herbs, crystals, and symbols associated with healing and balance.
4. Journaling and Grimoire:
Keep a dedicated shadow work journal or section in your grimoire. Document your experiences, insights, and progress. This not only tracks your journey but also provides a reference for future work.
5. Working with Deities and Spirits:
Dark Goddesses: Invoke goddesses such as Hecate, Lilith, or the Morrigan, who are associated with the shadow and transformation. Ask for their guidance and support in your shadow work.
Spirit Guides and Ancestors: Call upon your spirit guides or ancestors for assistance. They can offer wisdom and protection as you navigate your shadow.
Benefits of Shadow Work in Spiritual Practice
Enhanced Self-Awareness: Understanding your shadow leads to a deeper awareness of your true self, fostering spiritual growth.
Emotional Healing: By addressing repressed emotions and traumas, shadow work promotes healing and emotional well-being.
Greater Empathy and Compassion: Integrating your shadow helps you become more empathetic and compassionate towards others, as you recognize similar struggles in them.
Empowerment and Authenticity: Embracing all parts of yourself, including the shadow, empowers you to live more authentically and confidently.
Shadow work is a profound journey of self-discovery and healing. By courageously facing and integrating the hidden aspects of yourself, you can achieve greater harmony and balance in your life. Incorporating shadow work into your spiritual and witchcraft practices can deepen your connection to yourself and the spiritual realm, fostering a richer, more authentic experience.

Explain the basic: What is a Grimoire/book of shadows?
Desclaimer: Everything I will talk about is information that I got from books and sites online and even videos on YouTube. In my years of practice, I learned as much as I could out of curiosity and what works best for me. I suggest you do the same by learning as much as you can on your own (I will be here making posts teaching this kind of stuff) from multiple sources.
A Grimoire and a Book of Shadows are both types of books associated with magical practices, but they serve slightly different purposes and have distinct origins and uses.
Tumblr media
Grimoire:
Definition: A grimoire is a textbook of magic, typically including instructions on how to create magical objects like talismans and amulets, how to perform spells, summon spirits, and other magical practices. Historical Context: Grimoires have a long history, with some dating back to the medieval period or earlier. They are often associated with Western esotericism, including traditions such as Hermeticism, alchemy, and ceremonial magic. Contents: A typical grimoire may contain astrological charts, instructions for casting spells, recipes for concoctions, and the proper methods for summoning and controlling spirits or deities. Examples include "The Key of Solomon" and "The Book of Abramelin."
Book of Shadows:
Definition: A Book of Shadows is a personal journal or notebook used by practitioners of Wicca and other forms of modern witchcraft. It serves as a record of magical work, rituals, spells, and personal reflections. Modern Context: The concept of the Book of Shadows was popularized by Gerald Gardner, one of the founders of modern Wicca, in the mid-20th century. It has since become a common practice in many Wiccan and neo-pagan traditions. Contents: A Book of Shadows may include ritual instructions, spell recipes, herb lore, personal reflections, dreams, and experiences with the divine or spiritual realm. It is often highly personalized and may be kept secret or shared with a coven.
Tumblr media
Key Differences:
Purpose: Grimoires are typically more formal and instructional, often intended to be comprehensive manuals of magical theory and practice. Books of Shadows are more personal, serving as a magical diary or workbook.
Historical vs. Modern: Grimoires have ancient roots and are part of a historical tradition of magical literature. Books of Shadows are a modern development within contemporary witchcraft and Wicca.
Contents: While there can be overlap, grimoires often focus on detailed magical systems and the mechanics of magic, whereas Books of Shadows emphasize personal experience, practice, and reflections.
Both types of books are integral to their respective magical traditions and are used by practitioners to document and guide their magical work.

Moon Water 101
The when, where, and why of using moon water
What is moon water?
Moon water is water charged under the moon, often during the new or full moon, to have the energy from that moon phase.
How do you make it?
Fill your vessel with water (and stones or herbs to be more specific). Put that vessel in a spot that gets some moonlight. This could be a window, on your porch, in your car, etc., after the sun has fully set. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for an hour or overnight, just make sure you retrieve it before the sun comes up. Store in a dark place, out of sunlight.

Tips:
-Only make as much as you think you need: Okay, a few things. The water loses its charge the longer it sits. I recommend recharging it once a month (During the next moon cycle). The other side of this is physical. Sitting water isn’t great for you, microbes and stuff can grow it in. It’s just better off to make sure you only make as much as you need at the time. There will always be another full moon, you don’t need a Costco sized bottle of moon water.
-On the same topic, store under a cloth, or in a dark place. Make sure it’s out of the sunlight when not being used. This is more of a physical worry, like stated above. The sunlight may help things like bacteria, microbes or algae to grow, and that’s just not something you want on your altar.

Uses:
Moon water is a great thing to use to cleanse or anoint your tools if that’s something you would like to do.
Add to potions, drinks or meals to give them a more powerful effect. (You should only be using moon water that was prepared within 24 hours of the meal. I do not condone using moon water that has set for any long period of time before being consumed)
Can be used in place of oils in spells or rituals
Water your plants with it
Use it as offerings to deities, fairfolk, and/or spirit guides ______________________
Some simple recipes to get you started
Cleansing spray: Take a few sprigs of rosemary and sea salt and put it into a spray bottle of your liking. Add just enough moon water to cover the rosemary. Let it sit for about 72 hours, and then use it to spray down tools, sacred spaces, candles, etc. to bring a cleansing, purifying energy.
Cleaning spray: Take that same rosemary sprigs and salt, put that in a bottle, and use half moon water and half vinegar. Let this sit for a week or so, and then use it as a multipurpose cleaning spray around the house.
