Lots and lots of images.

I've said this before in another post, but to go into detail here: Maurice was inspired by 3 images of people's version of their Evil Sonic

One was for the outfit, one was for the cape, and one was just for the aesthetic of it all. Meanwhile, his shoes were just an inspiration from Robotnik himself. I thought it would be a cool idea, so I started making the design. As for the others? I just thought of the first thing that came to my mind until I would change a few things about the design.

For Miles- he's the smart one. And because of how smart and intelligent he is when it comes to building contraptions, I thought of a lab coat and some goggles for him would work because of that.

For Robotnik, he's just the Mr. Tinker design from IDW. At first I was thinking about his shirt being some kind of lumberjack-type of clothing, but I decided to change the idea and go with the Mr. Tinker design instead.

For Shadow, it's just basically him with his Hawaiian outfit that appeared in Archie. Though... I've been thinking about changing him up some more, but for now, that's all I got for him.

For Rouge, she wears a trench coat most of the time because that's just her undercover attire n' all. When she doesn't have it, she has a spy suit underneath, the one from Sonic X pretty much. When she's not wearing her spy suit in the moment, erh... let's just say she's wearing casual clothes, but I haven't thought of a design for that yet.

For Amy, it's her classic design but with a few tweaks to it.

And Knuckles, a ✨️scarf✨️ because yea, that was all I could come up with besides bandages.

Honestly, coming up with the designs was a bit hard... I have some concept art on my sketchbook, but it isn't much, but just know that Amy was going to be edgy until I decided to change it.

But yea, it's not exactly much, but the designs were alright. There are some characters I haven't changed in terms of design yet, but I'm planning todo that someday or when I have the time and motivation.

I guess you could say in terms of visual with the characters, I just had a big inspiration with seeing a few images of other's versions of an Evil Sonic AU despite Scourge already fitting that title. Well.. I guess you could say all of this was just for fun then, because honestly, I wasn't thinking too deep with the AU until I joined this smackdown, and I'm happy I was a part of it for a good while :]

Yo, long time no see! Kind of a long post so skip to the end for tldr if you don’t wanna read the whole thing (idk how to put things under the cut on mobile so.. sorry to put a long post on your dash...)

So, I haven’t really posted here for like..months probably, sorry for being so absent lmao, and I’ve been really thinking about what I wanna do with this account.

When I first started this I didn’t intend for it to be a sonic focused blog, it was just meant for my art, but I started having a lot of fun drawing and engaging with the fandom and I met some really cool people I’m still friends with now! But I ended up wanting to branch out into more serious and professional work, so I created a second account on the side that was meant for non sonic related stuff and soon I felt a sort of disconnect between the two versions of myself posting on each account which made it more and more exhausting as I tried to put more effort into posting there.

Creating sonic art started to feel almost like a chore, “It’s been so long since I’ve posted something, I have to draw something to upload” and, while I know my art improved, I feel like you can tell my enthusiasm and creativity for posts on here gets less and less the more recent the art is and it’s kinda sad to realise that something that I used to enjoy drawing was no longer fun. Because the sonic fandom had been such a big part of my life and was basically my introduction into posting art online I held onto it for longer than I should have and wanted to because it was almost a comfort place in its familiarity.

I tried really hard to upload something every once in a while but I started paying more attention to my other art account where I felt I could post everything that wasn’t sonic related. I know that’s a dumb thing to think because I could have posted that stuff here but in my mind this became a place just for posting sonic stuff, and that’s what I felt was expected of me here since that’s what people seemed to like and want to see when they followed me. But posting other stuff made sharing art fun again and I felt I wasn’t tied to a fandom in the same way I was here, so I could switch to a new interest more freely without feeling like I was letting people down.

All of this has been kind of running through my head a lot over the past year or so, and I think I’m ready to actually step out from the sonic fandom officially instead of keeping one foot in the water. It’s sad to leave it behind but it’s no longer an interest of mine, but it has been awesome being a part of it! I’ll be keeping this account up (I’ve got a lot of art and memories attached here and I don’t want to just delete it) but after a few months I won’t be responding to anything on here. That said, if you need to contact me I’ll still be checking Twitter and Instagram (I plan on continuing commissions there because I still enjoy drawing for others, I just have no motivation to draw original sonic content anymore) since I don’t have to log in and out of accounts just to check things.

Sorry to come back after so long only to say I’m leaving, but I hope you guys who still follow me understand and I’m so grateful for all of you!! I didn’t mention my other accounts name because i still want to keep the accounts separate since I still feel like I can’t mesh the two accounts’ worlds together, but if you really want to follow it just shoot me a message and I’ll let you know.

TLDR: no longer enjoying posting sonic art so I’m officially moving on from this account to my other one.

The Heroine Rises!

A new verse based on @mangaanonymous‘s Doctor Hedgehog AU.

Sonic isn’t the hero we know him to be, but the vile and cruel “Doctor Hedgehog”, who terrorizes the inhabitants of Mobius with his incredible machines. While out one day, Sky hears the cries of a nearby town under attack, quickly rushing to their aid. In a breath-taking moment of surprise, Sky defeats the bots and saves the town, suddenly becoming a hero to the inhabitants.

Quickly gaining a reputation from her victory, Sky and co meet with Tails and the nervous but kind Doctor Robotnik, who have been fighting Doctor Hedgehog with a small group of skilled individuals. Joining forces, the gang is suddenly more than Sonic bargained for.

Introducing Xiao! His outfit is heavily inspired by Shou Ronpo from Kyuranger! Xiao is a dragon, and an absolute coward. Although he is one, he tries his best to hide it behind a wall of wiseness and mortality. Nonetheless, he’s a complicated person, and the other members of the team are unsure what to think of him at first. His emerald allows him to make holographic weapons.

It is my Sonic OC, Lavinya (love-in-ya) the Red Fox. and it was made by two fantastic artists! The icon is @phoenixsalover. The background photo was submitted to me on my birthday (x) -I couldn’t find the artist’s name and I’m really sad about it ;-; If it was you, let me know plz!)

(this was her original picture, but Lavinya didn’t have a red ribbon around her waist, so I just blacked it out. I still very much love her and this picture! *her signature’s below the tail.)
