#man I love my little games

I'm so fucking glad I've listened to some Undertale OSTs and got tempted to try this game again.

I've avoided this game, this franchise, for many years because I've slid into the wrong direction in the fandom but after I revisited it, I noticed how much of a masterpiece this game is.

It may not be on my "favorite video game" list because I got other preferences, but it for sure is one of the best games ever made.

The story is amazingly good, the battle system is creative and has never been seen before (imo), every character, npc and enemy has so much personality, it's a rollercoaster of every kind of emotion, there are different paths you can take and every action comes with a different outcome and consequences, and the gorgeous music which always fits the mood, strengthens the situation you're currently in and makes you feel so much more.

I can't believe a game like this exists. You can really call this one perfection, in my completely honest opinion.

This is a must have played.

Can I please talk about my weird little Warg from Lonely Light? My salt crusted Ironborn bastard whose definitely a Targaryen. Gwyndon "Gwyn" Pyke, my selkie boy.

We've started playing a little ASOIAF tabletop game set during the Blackfyre Rebellions (around 90 years before Game of Thrones). Our travelling party consists of two Targaryen bastards from the opposite side of Westeros and the Hedge Knight holding them for ransom (or so we thought).

Mihawk is such a capricious dude, oh my god. The only dude you know who is always itching for a fight but only ever a specific kind of fight so he goes out of his way to take the path of least resistance for everything else.

Like he would rather leave than fight Don krieg, Sail away than decimate the marines, live in peace instead of challenging the other emperors for the one piece. And when they do he’d rather follow buggy’s idea of just being smarter about how they go about it instead of brute forcing it like the rest. He is constantly leaving fights but then a swordsman of mild repute and an interesting technique engages him in a battle and suddenly you have his whole attention. Like with vista it was obvious that he could have just cleared him like he did everyone else but he’d never seen the flower sword techinque and by god was he going to miss this chance. And so he engages him in what is essentially a spare.

Because Mans isn’t looking for a fight, instead, like a middle aged director of a short indie film, he’s chasing a feeling.

He wants to feel like his 19 year old self did when he was strong but there were people stronger. When there were still obstacles to overcome limits to exceed. When the world was large and exciting and he wasn’t just waiting for it to catch up with him. When he could look at Shanks as the person he is instead of the person he could have been.

He wants to look at Shanks and not see visions of a grinning red haired boy with 2 arms and a strawhat laughing in the dirt and asking for “just one more round Hawky I swear I’ll beat you this time”

But there is nowhere Mihawk can run that that boy won’t haunt him.

i'm iovecanglan on dnptwt, but that community has fostered a terribly toxic environment so i wanted to try my hand at tumblr for a bit :)

my name is jay and i'm a 23-year-old lesbian from texas :3 i will be at tit austin as well as london (friday + saturday) !! i have been watching dnp since 2013 and i am the #1 enjoyer of the dan and phil's traumatic golf incident video :P

even though dnp are my biggest interest atm i am also technically a multifandom account on every platform, so i will post about other things i enjoy too (like chappell roan, atla, studio ghibli, cdramas, books, etc.)

i also write!! i'm ivylakes on ao3 and i have an ongoing one-shot series where i write about canon events that have happened post-hiatus (such as what i believe dan's immediate reaction was to phil dyeing his hair blonde) <3 i have something really special in the works rn so stay tuned!

I love how the game seems to take inspiration from those simplified cell drawings with bright colors and exaggerated shapes.

I love how the devs seem to have used microscopic images as a reference to make their alien world feel more alien.

I love the way the myelin sheathing is on the cables because it makes electric signals travel at a faster speed in real life... Those designs work and don't feel limited by what they took inspiration from.
