brightscale's siblings!!! Her siblings from oldest to youngest are Avocado (a mud/rainwing), Leopard (a rainwing), Mamba (a sand/rainwing), Capybara (a rainwing), Kiwi (a rainwing), and Parakeet (a rainwing). Brightscales hatched after Leopard, but before Mamba. Avocado has basically cemented herself as a primary caretaker to her sibs, fueled by her bigwings instincts. She sees Leopard and Mamba as her sibs, and the rest as unsibs, due to the fact that the three all hatched at the same time. (i forgot to write it but capybara is the orange/teal dragon, kiwi is the green/pink dragon, and parakeet is the green/yellow dragon :3)

Kiwi and Parakeet look similar bc theyre actually blood related, but both joined the sib group.

tadc wof au i had for a while by now and just decided to post abt

the basic premise is there is a mirage-like enchantment over a large portion of the rainforest that is only accessible by enchanted collars. smaller version of these calls are spread throughout pyrrhia to entice humans to wear them. once they do they are instantly teleported to the mirage as a rainwing in a random team.

each team compete in small games once and a while that build up to the final game which is basically the rainwing royal challenge with the categories being exotic fruit finding, camouflage, venom targets, dueling, rare flower finding and flight. i dont think i made a prize for the winner.

the entire thing is an experiment made by an unknown nightwing animus around when the rainwing abductions began. he broke off from his tribe believing he could create a better version and left an enchanted animus nightwing as caine in charge who can only persist when the collar is on.

for names like 4/6 of the ones i wrote down i like which is Pomegranate (shortened to Pome), Kingfisher (shortened to Kinger), Mamba for Zooble but might change it and Gangle kept hers bc its either a trait/action and RainWings can have those as names.

wanted to experiment with designs that strayed more from the canon appearance of the tribes. I dont do that a lot apparently? so here you go. collars may look weird bc i rushed the lineart yesterday and completely forgot.

FIVE whole things??? Goodness gracious anon, that’s a whole lot of stuff. I’m gonna use this a little bit to talk about me and some wof stuff ^^;

-Fun fact about me: I’m really interested in studying anthropology and sociology!! You can see bits of this in my hc lists, a lot of them take inspiration from existing cultures (Icewings and Skywings so far take the most from existing cultures, Rainwings the least). Ethnomusicology is also something I’m involved in, but that’s mostly cause of the people around me lol

-I really love folk music, especially folk music from the balkans and roma communities there (it feels a little disingenuous to not mention their involvement in folk music). Part of the reason I give so much Balkan stuff to the Mudwings is just because I have a soft spot for them and it feels all familiar to me. It’s maybe the one thing that doesn’t have any like, real world reason for why they’re like that I just want good things for my big mud babies

-I made a playlist for two of my wof ocs: Mamba and Hurricane and consider it a little bit of a teaser cause I definitely plan on talking about them (A lot of it is about Mamba, but there’s definitely some Hurricane in there). This playlist is also why it took me so long to answer you, sorry!!! D: . It’s also being updated pretty much as we speak lol

The two had been traveling together for almost four years.  The bitter sandwing had warmed up to Citrus.  Citrus’s curiosity towards Mamba had blossomed into a love.  They were both very close now, they knew each other’s stories.  They knew what the other had gone through and why they acted the way they did.  They climbed to the top of the mountain silently, just in time for a beautiful sunset.  Mamba gazed at the cloudless sky and unfurled her wings.  Citrus started to turn pink (a color of happiness and love for rainwings).  Mamba looked her in the eyes and smiled a bit.  Citrus scooted a bit closer.   “I think i’m in love with you,” Mamba whispered in her deep, raspy voice.  “Yeah me too,” Citrus replied.  This wasn’t going as she pictured, but she was still happy.  Mamba wrapped a wing around her and pulled her closer.  “Wow, that was such a romantic reply,” Mamba chuckled.  Citrus elbowed her in the chest.  “Shut up I’ve never done this before.”  Mamba laughed and leaned into her.  They watched the last bits of the sunset together and forgot about the rest of the world.

2 of my wof ocs, Citrus and Mamba.

Citrus is a rainwing.  Her default colors are various shades of orange and yellow, with scattered light blue speckles.  She has them on her wings too, but she’s not part nightwing, she just thinks they look cool there.  She does frequently mimic other tribes, mostly sandwings to fit in with her girlfriend, Mamba.  She was born in the rainforest, but later decided to travel to the sand kingdom, where she met Mamba.  The two fell in love after wandering together for a while.  Mamba was cold and unfriendly at first, but soon warmed up to the cheerful rainwing. 

Mamba is a melanistic sandwing.  She is the daughter of a princess, but was banished after hiring an assassin to kill her grandmother (fortunately for the queen the assassin failed, and was killed).  Her brother tried to kill her the night she left, but lost and only left her with a few scars.  She planned to leave the sand kingdom all together and live alone somewhere in the mountains, but she met Citrus and her plans were changed.  They traveled together for a while before settling down somewhere near the south-eastern border of the sand kingdom.  They later adopted a young seaxmudwing hybrid and named her Lily.  

I’ll post more art and backstory stuff later, but this is the only digital art i’ve drawn of them so far.

Just a little something featuring two of my Roblox WoF dragons! The SandWing you guys have actually already seen, it's Slither. And a newer one, Abysswalker, a Sea/ NightWing hybrid.

The story of these two are Abyss is a thief for hire, getting paid handsomely to steal rare and in some cases dangerous items. This is where he met Slither, daughter of Mamba, who happened to own an Animus touched poision blade that was enchanted to never run out of the poision. However, the night was ruined when he almost got bit by Slither's pet Dragonbite Viper. Because he was caught and she was curious, Abyss told the SandWing what he does and being one to like very shiny things, joined him. The two grew very close over time, and would in the Sand Kingdom years after their passing be known as The Outlaw and the Thief, one of the most elusive pairs of dragons that caused destruction and broken hearts in their lifetimes.
