Day 28: Today's prompt for #marchmeetthemaker is #selfpromotion ...I was just talking about this earlier with some other creative entrepreneurs...in order to succeed in business, you need to be your own biggest fan. It can be hard, in today's society, to be comfortable being proud of yourself and your work because we're taught not to be full of ourselves and there is so much media out there designed to make you feel as if you aren't good enough on your own. . During college, one of the books I chose for my major was called Self-Promotion for the Creative Person by Lee Silber. It really changed my perspective on being passionate about sharing what I do with the world...if I'm not proud and excited about what I do...why should anyone else be excited about it? Getting to do what I love for work is such a joy for me and I just want to shout it from the rooftops.
