Gimme a hug or kiss your sam plushie. Or do both, I’m not picky-
Anyways whatcha drinking
How dare you, give me orders? /j Especially without saying "I'm also going to hug/kiss my Cater plishie" Or have you already done that? Expected nothing less from you, Ceru. I don't kiss or hug him, I carry him around with me in my backpack. And showing Sam off in public, coming from a tsundere like me, should be more than enough of a show of love.
Anyway.... many things. BUT LISTEN CLOSELY, DRINKING IS WRONG! If you are over the required drinking age, a few beers... cider... and some Malibu <- Thats give me the name "Coco".

So American ★ Logan Sargeant
A/N: Hi everyone! So sorry for the writing inactivity but I've been busy with writing and editing some things. Since it's the Fourth of July I decided to write a Logan Sargeant blurb! Hope you all enjoy it!!
"He laughs at all my jokes and says I'm so American"
By now you and Logan would have been coming from the beach, with sandy hair and tanned skin. You’d leave your boards by the door and step inside to help your parents set up the yard for the annual Fourth of July bash. But you’re not in Malibu, you’re currently in your London flat. Fourth of July weekend is also Silverstone weekend which means you miss out on one of your favorite holidays. Quietly you’ve been planning a surprise for Logan in hopes of recreating the holiday you both enjoy so much. Today is media day and since Logan is needed to fulfill his media duties it gives you the perfect chance to decorate the apartment and cook.
“Are you sure you don’t want to join me, babe?” Logan asks you. “I’m sure Lo, I want to stay and clean the place, it’s a little messy,”  you reply. “You still have time to change, I can wait while you get dressed,” he says. Smiling you walk over to him and touch his cheek, “I’ll be with you the rest of the weekend Lo,” you sweetly say. “Okay fine, I’ll miss you,” Logan says with a pout. You chuckle and hug him, “Me too, Lo. But Coco and Apollo will keep me company,” you reply.
Logan chuckles and kisses you sweetly. You walk with Logan to the door and open it, he steps out into the hallway and kisses you once more. His hands leave your waist and you ruffle his hair a little making him laugh. “Let me know when you’re at track Sarge, I love you.” “Will do, I love you, Saez,” he replies before turning on his heel and walking down the hallway.
Once he’s out of sight you close the door and get to work. Music is playing while you work around the apartment and cook the food. Hopefully, Logan is happy when he sees everything and you’re excited for his reaction. Leaving the sauces alone you take out more of the red, white, and blue streamers. Climbing on the ladder you attach the streamers to the kitchen cabinets.
You’ve decorated the apartment in red white and blue streamers, paper stars hang from the living room ceiling and the kitchen table has a mason jar with small flags and usa-themed decorations.  Wiping sweat from your brow you put the small decorated cake in the fridge and grab a water bottle. Coco and Apollo are lounging on the couch so you join them. “Hi babies,” you say softly and they happily bark and lay on your lap. Apollo starts to excitedly lick your face and you stop him while you laugh. “Apollo calm down, buddy,” you say attempting to calm the young pup down.
Your childhood dog had passed away a few months ago in March and you were heartbroken when your mom called you. Logan knew how sad you’d been for the last months and while in Florida for the Miami Grand Prix, he’d decided to surprise you, coincidentally one of his friend’s golden retriever had given birth a few weeks prior and he was giving the puppies away so Logan picked one from the litter and surprised you. You decided to name him Apollo because of his color and you also had a habit of naming some of your pets after Greek gods.
Apollo calmed down and you chuckled, gently you stroked his ears and recalled the first Fourth of July you’d spent with Logan.
Flashback
Logan had joined you on a trip to California after dating for a year. This trip served as a way for him to meet your parents and they had adored meeting him yesterday. Your parents were thrilled with him and both your worries had been eased, especially Logan’s. Today was the fourth of July and your parents were throwing their annual party. Your parents joked that you and Logan were the guests of honor this year because you missed out on last year’s party due to work.
Sun beamed down and you felt it beat down on your exposed shoulders. The air smelled of sea salt and the waves crashed behind you. The sand was hot and stuck to your wet feet. Gently you squeezed the excess water from your hair and turned to look at Logan. Flashing a smile you walked over to him and he grabbed your waist pulling you closer. “Hey surfer girl,” he said and you chuckled. “Hi Florida boy,” you replied and he chuckled. His palm was on your cheek and he leaned down to kiss you, you stood on your tiptoes and your eyelids fluttered shut at the feeling of his lips on yours. They tasted like salt water, a taste that certainly mirrored yours.
Pulling back he looked at you and gently kissed your forehead, “We should head back before my mom leans over the balcony and shouts at me,” you said and he chuckled. Logan’s arm was around your waist and his fingers made contact with your bare skin, making butterflies flutter around in your stomach. “Let’s get going then, c’mon,” he said. Bending down you grabbed your boards and walked towards the house.
“I’m still not used to that huge house,” you comment and Logan chuckles. “To be fair you haven’t really lived in it,” Logan said and you looked at him, “True, London whisked me away and refused to let me go,” you replied. “Lucky me, I have London to thank for that,” he commented and you both laughed.
You grew up in Malibu but not on the side where you see those huge houses, you and your parents lived at a small house in Malibu West. Your parents earned more than enough money to afford one of those big beach houses but they decided against that. A year before you went off to college they decided to buy the house you were heading towards. The beachfront house sat a little far back from the others and unlike the rest, it wasn’t a slab of white concrete. Instead it was a Spanish style villa with actual personality unliked those boring houses you often encountered in this area.
“Are you ready to face a full-blown Saez Fourth of July party in approximately six hours?” You asked Logan while leaning on the stairs, “I’m a little terrified but I’m ready,” Logan said putting his hand on your shoulders. “C’mon Sarge, we need to report for duty,” you said and climbed the stairs up to the property.
Letting out a breath you put your hands on your hips as your chest heaved up and down a bit. Behind you Logan laughed, “How are you not winded?” you asked him and he laughed. “Training babe,” he replied and you scoffed. “Finally, I was just about to lean over and shout like a madwoman,” your mom said. Logan chuckled and you giggled, “There’s no need mamá,” you said. Graceful as ever your mom smiled and wrapped you both in a hug. “How were the waves?” she asked. “Great, the swell was amazing and I lucked out with a tunnel,” you said. “She was amazing at the tunnel,” Logan said and your mom smiled.
“How about you Logan, did you get lucky with one?” Your mom asked, “Unfortunately not. Dr. Saez,” he said and your mom looked at him. “Logan you don’t have to call me doctor all the time, you’re family,” she said sweetly. “Sorry ma’am, sorry Catalina,” he said after correcting himself and you smiled at his sweet nature. “Are you kids hungry? I can make you something before we start setting up,” your mom said. You shook your heads no and she smiled, “There’s some fruit salad in the fridge in case you feel like having a snack,” she said and you nodded. Turning around she walked away and you dropped the boards on
the grass before heading towards the showers to rinse the sand off. Walking inside you both part ways to get changed.
Your dad finds you in the kitchen while you are snacking on fruit salad, “Hey kiddo, how was the morning surf session?” he asks while grabbing water from the fridge. “Mega, I missed surfing,” you replied. He chuckles, “I think the waves missed you too,” he replied and you chuckled. Logan made his way to the kitchen and stood next to you, wordlessly you handed him the fork and bowl of fruits. “Logan are you ready for the mayhem?” your dad asked. Your boyfriend chuckled, “Yes, sir’ Logan replied. “You can call me Arturo, you’re family now,” your dad reminded him.
The three of you were talking until your mom arrived. “Great the decoration committee is here and so is the cooking staff, let’s get to work!” your mom cheerfully said. “Cata, you need to slow down we still have five and a half hours,” your dad said. “Five and a half hours that go by quickly and you forget that we have a good party reputation,” she said and you laughed. In response, your dad playfully rolled his eyes, “You’re always acting like you’re racing against the clock in an OR room.” “And you seem to forget that you fell in love with me in an OR room,” she bit back. You and Logan quietly watched their moment before you whisked him away in search of the decorations.
After a team effort, the house was decorated and some of the food was set out, you checked the table settings to make sure everything was precisely placed. “There’s a napkin that’s on the wrong side and a streamer is a little too high than the rest,” you stated. Logan chuckled, “You’re just like your mom, I don’t see the difference in the streamers,” Logan said. “Come here, stand next to me,” you said and pulled him to stand next to you. “Now look to the upper left corner, you’ll notice that the streamer hangs higher than the one in the middle,” you said. Logan followed your directions and chuckled when he saw it.
Grabbing the nearby ladder he climbed it, “All right miss precision provide me with guidance,” he said. You giggled and guided him, Logan fixed the streamer and you folded the napkin correctly and placed it on the right side.
Logan was sticking to your side as the party was in full swing, everyone was having fun and the Saez Fourth of July bash was proving to be a big hit. “Babe Ithink I survived,” he whispered and you laughed.
“Survive you did, are you having fun?” you asked turning to hold his hands. “Yeah, I’ve lost track of how many people I’ve been introduced to but it’s been a lot of fun,” he replied. “If you keep this up you’ll be an official member of the decoration committee which is understaffed,” you joked. Logan laughed and you both went over to the drinks table in search of some beers.
Your mother expertly navigated the crowd and engaged in conversation, occasionally whisking you and Logan with her. You’d manage to escape your parents and their doctor friends, what was meant to be a short conversation with a coworker turned into quite a long one once Logan’s upcoming Formula One career and your job had been brought up. You could tell Logan was thrilled to talk about his passion and that made you happy.
Both of you occupied one of the chaise lounges by the pool. A plate with food was in your hand and Logan also had one. Logan snuck a rib out of your plate and you stared him down. “Logan that’s mine,” you said. Cheekily he took a bite of it and you stared at him as he liked sauce from his fingers. “Not anymore,” he said with a chuckle. “There are ribs on your plate!” you exclaimed quietly and he laughed. “What if I wanted one from your plate?” he countered. “It’s the same rib as the one you have right there!” you replied. “Yours had more sauce, sharing is caring babe,” he said kissing your cheek. “What you did is stealing Lo, I should steal food from your plate,” you said.
“Here, steal it all like you stole my heart,” he said while giving you the plate. “Logan,” you said softly, “What did I do?” he asked cautiously. “Nothing you’re just so sweet, it’s impossible to be mean to you!” you exclaimed while crossing your arms. Laughing Logan set the plates aside and kissed you.
The night rolled on and when it was time for fireworks your parents went to get you both. You stood next to your mom while your dad and Logan lit the fireworks. Quickly they rejoined you. Logan stood behind you with his arms draped on your shoulders while you leaned into him, your parents were in a similar embrace and you smiled. “Happy fourth baby, I love you,” he whispered. “I love you too Sarge,” you whispered before turning around and kissing him as fireworks went off in the background.
End of flashback
Logan had texted to let you know that he was getting home soon. Setting the food out you rearranged anything that was out of place and changed into the outfit you wore two years ago. Slipping on the white dress you tied a red and blue ribbon on your hair.
Coco and Apollo started to bark when they heard the keys jiggle and you laughed at their excitement. Of course, they beat you to the door and you laughed at how excited they were to see Logan. “I think they missed their dad,” you said and Logan chuckled. “Seems like they did,” he said walking over to you, with a smile he dropped his bag and wrapped his arms around you. “Hey Sarge,” you say and he chuckles at the nickname before you lean in and kiss him hello. “What’s all this?” he asks smiling as he looks around the apartment. “The fourth of July of course,” you say. “I figured that since we’re not home for the celebration I could bring the celebration over here,” you tell him. Logan smiles and picks you up, spinning you around and making you laugh. “So this is why you turned down going with me,” he comments and you nod.
He sniffs the air and you laugh, “I smell ribs, mac and cheese, and cake!” he exclaims. Throwing your head back you laugh and he sets you down before taking your hand and walking to the kitchen. His eyes land on the dining table and he turns to look at you with a bigger smile. He looks like a child who is seeing a heap of candy and you grin. “Thank you for bringing the fourth across the pond, you’re amazing and so American,” he says. You laugh and hug him. “You’re welcome and you are also so American Florida boy,” you reply. Laughing you sit down to eat and talk about everything you missed out on during media day.

The Death of Healthy Relationships  in Portrayed Fictional Literature
An Opinion Article By Nad and Francis (February 2024)
Books are like windows for readers that allow them to see the characters’ lives, experiences and relationships with other people in the story. Through printed texts, consumers of fictional media can be directly affected by what they read. In the modern day, there are numerous genres that one can choose and indulge themselves in.
As of 2022 book sales statistics, one of the popular genres nowadays is romance novels as it makes the majority of readers experience a whole variety of emotions that makes them feel like they are also experiencing it. Through captivating narratives, it evokes us to feel loved, hurt, comforted or ecstatic especially when we witness the connection and bond between the characters. The concerning thing about this is that most contemporary romance novels do not depict healthy romantic relationships between the characters and oftentimes, the conflict between them is not resolved. Considering this, regular consumers of this type of literature can be affected negatively.
Both of us are not keen on being in a relationship with someone, the most we can do is observe other people’s romantic relationships and other people who want to be in one– and as far as we’ve seen it, the more we question what the romance standard really is. A lot of modern romance novels depict so much toxicity that it could affect a person’s perception of what a healthy relationship is. Even though challenges and complications between characters make a story more interesting, the depiction of romance in those stories can be resolved in a healthier way without making it problematic.
Tumblr media
Cleopatra and Frankenstein, Coco Mellors’ debut novel, tells the story of Cleo and Frank’s relationship and how they were too emotionally broken from their childhood trauma to even be in a relationship in the first place– and while being married out of circumstances at that. Not to mention, their problematic age gap of 20 years where Cleo is 23 years old, the younger one out of the relationship.
In Sad Girls by Lang Leav, a popular novelist and poet, the relationship was built on a lie. Audrey (the main protagonist) told a false rumor about her friend that caused her to commit suicide. After that, Audrey started dating the girl’s boyfriend. In reality, however, the death was caused by an accident where the boyfriend pushed her off during an argument about the rumor and she hit her head. He panicked, so he staged it as a suicide. The other problem here is that Audrey and the guy still dated after knowing the truth.
Malibu Rising is another popular novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid. She is a New York Times best-selling author and won awards for some of her stories. Her other notable novels are Daisy Jones and the Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. In Malibu Rising, One of the couples to note here are the parents. In the story, their relationship went rock bottom when the mother ended up being a doormat by the rockstar father– He cheated many times, to the point that he prioritized her less after receiving fame. She then ended up being an alcoholic and eventually drowned. Before her death, and despite all that has happened, the mother loved him too much even if that was the situation.
Then there’s Sally Rooney’s Conversation with Friends– a plotline that involves four characters, cheating, affairs between all four of them, toxic relationships and friendships, interwoven relationships– we could go on about all this. Colleen Hover’s books are also prime examples of romanticizing unhealthy romantic relationships like her novel,  It Ends With Us, which glamorizes domestic abuse.
Tumblr media
All this to say, these romance novels depict problematic relationships but the same books are also extremely popular because of the controversial stories in them. We watched a popular YouTuber, poet, and author, Dakota Warren, talk about her perspective on these kinds of “romance” literature and she pointed it out perfectly; “Romance does not usually go hand-in-hand with this (toxicity) unless the romance is so toxic and problematic that it should not be called ‘Romance.’”
Having said all that, we’d like to give these books and other similar literature the benefit of the doubt and take into account that the authors may or may not have intended to depict them as a feel-good romance read because somewhere out there, some people are experiencing these stories in real life. Through these books, we can empathize with them and comfort them by saying “I see you, I understand, you’re not alone”. However, as long as people recommend and market it as “a good romance novel”, maybe we should reconsider it.
All things considered, we are not in the position to tell other readers, especially consumers of contemporary romance novels to not read these types of books at all. As we previously stated, there are some things that we can gain from them like making us feel alive, thrilled and enthralled. But just like other things in life, everything should be in moderation. Depictions of “romance” in these types of novels should not be idealized and be considered as the standard of what relationships should be. Instead, we should take these depictions as “warning signs” of what an unhealthy relationship is and try to avoid becoming somewhat of the character who has shown these toxic traits.

What if I told you this cool, creamy Easy Pina Colada No Bake Cheesecake can be made with no water bath, sour cream, eggs or condensed milk. Well, it can! It has all the flavors of a pina colada in a smooth, velvety dessert that can quickly be whipped up in the processor in a matter of minutes. The Caramelized Pineapple Sauce that goes along with it is the final touch to a quick and easy dessert. This sauce can also go on pound cake, ice cream, or just eat it by te spoonful. Ever wonder where they come from? The first cheesecakes are thought to be from Samos in Ancient Greece where they were served at weddings. A far cry from modern cheesecakes, these consisted of wheat flour, pounded cheese and honey. Along the years, it has been refined and remade and today it's at the top of the list of favorite desserts. The graham cracker-coconut crust can be used without baking but I highly recommend that you bake it so it stays firm even if refrigerated for several days. If you've always wanted to know how to make a cheesecake, this is the easiest and best around. Why You'll Love this Recipe It's super easy for little effort. It's an easy dessert that's perfect when you don't want the oven on for hours. It tastes incredible and like you have spent the day making it. It's rich flavor is very balanced both sweet and a bit tart from the sauce. It's simple but elegantly sophisticated. Perfect after barbecue. Substitutions If you don't wish to use alcohol, add the gelatin to 1/4 cup water and increase the coconut extract to 1 tablespoon. Recipe Ingredients Coconut Graham Cracker Crust BACK ROW: Powdered sugar, unsweetened coconut FRONT ROW: Unsalted butter, graham crackers Cheesecake Filling BACK ROW: Powdered sugar, coco lopez, heavy cream MIDDLE ROW: Coconut extract, cream cheese, crushed pineapple FRONT ROW: Malibu rum, gelatin Caramelized Pineapple Sauce BACK ROW: Fresh Pineapple chunks, golden syrup FRONT ROW: Brown sugar (light or dark), unsalted butter Cream of Coconut Do not confuse this with coconut milk – they are vastly different. One cannot be substituted for the other. There are several brands and the one above it the one I use. I have seen it have a heavy white semisolid mixture at the top of the can with a dark, translucent liquid at the bottom.  When whisked together it becomes an off white liquid.  There might even be a few shreds of coconut.  It can also be just the translucent liquid. Either is fine as long as it is cream of coconut. Golden Syrup Lyle's Golden Syrup is a staple in English Baking and I can tell you it’s amazing. I can literally eat it by the spoonful.  It can be used where ever corn syrup or honey is used and it's great on pancakes and waffles.  It can be easily found online or stores that sell international items and brings a taste that substitutes simply can’t.  However, if you have to substitute I have seen clear corn syrup used. Malibu Rum This is a popular, combination of Caribbean rum with coconut liqueur.  It can be bought in small airline or single serve bottles that can be found in some grocery stores or liquor stores for sure.  The bottle contains 1/4 cup which is perfect for this recipe. If you can't find it, use 3 tablespoons light rum, 1 tablespoon water and 2 teaspoons coconut extract. The Coconut Unsweetened coconut, also known as dessicated coconut is important in this crust. Without the sweetening it is just pure coconut that has a more impactful flavor. Powdered Sugar Powdered sugar is used because it will dissolve instantly into the other ingredients. Granulated sugar has the chance of remaining grainy. Cream Cheese Low fat cream cheese can be substituted if desired. Either should be room temperature when used. Crushed Pineapple Canned crushed pineapple is used in the filling of the cheesecake. It should be drained and squeezed dry before adding to the rest of the ingredients. Fresh pineapple should not be used because there is an enzyme in it that prevents gelatin from setting.
Whipped Heavy Cream Heavy cream refers to cream that has at least 35% fat as opposed to regular whipping cream that has about 30%. The heavier fat content makes a thicker whipped cream that doesn't water out after beating and needs no stabalization. While I don't normally like to whip cream in the processor because it doesn't become very light, it is perfect in this application. The lack of air in the whipped cream adds to the smooth, velvet, dense texture of the cheesecake. Caramelized Pineapple For this, fresh pineapple is used for it's taste. It is important to use somewhat under ripe pineapple so it doesn’t turn to mush when caramelizing. Be sure to see the recipe card below for the full ingredients list & instructions! Step by Step Instructions Coconut Graham Cracker Crust Step 1. Spray a 9x3 inch a cheesecake pan with a removable bottom with non-stick baking spray. A springform pan can also be used. Set aside. Step. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spread the unsweetened coconut in a single layer on a baking sheet. Keep it together so stray strands don't burn. Step 3. Toast the coconut for about 5 minutes, stir and toast until the coconut is a golden brown. Cool. Step 4. Process the graham crackers and powdered sugar to make crumbs. Step 5. Add the toasted coconut to the processor and pulse several times to combine them. Remove to a bowl. Step 6. Add the melted butter to the crumbs and mix with a fork to form larger crumbs. Step 7. Press the crumbs evenly into the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly browned. Step 8. The edge of the crust will, most likely, pull away slightly from the pan which can allow the liquid cheesecake to run down it. Step 9. Press the crust that has pulled away back to the edge of the pan with the back of a soup spoon. At the bakery, we referred to this as "spooning the crust". Step 10. The edge is sealed tightly again so no liquid can slip down the opening. Cheesecake Filling Step 1. Place the gelatin in Malibu rum or water to bloom or soften. Step 2. Stir immediately to make sure all of the gelatin is wet making a gelatinous blob. Step 3. Whisk the coco lopez together to make sure it is completely combined. Measure 1 cup. Step 4. Add the cream to the processor bowl and process until whipped and thick. Remove to a large bowl. Step 5. Without cleaning the processor bowl, add the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Process until smooth, scraping to make sure there are no lumps left. Step 6. Heat the gelatin (either in the water or Malibu rum) in the microwave just long enough to liquify it. Add this, the cream of coconut, and coconut extract. Process until smooth, scraping several times. Step 7. Add the cream cheese mixture and pineapple which has been squeezed dry to the whipped cream and fold everything together. Step 8. Pour the mixture over the coconut-graham cracker crust and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight. Caramelized Pineapple Sauce Step 1. Place the butter, brown sugar and golden or corn syrup in a saute pan large enough to hold the pineapple. Step 2. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Skim the foam from the sauce. Step 3. Add the fresh pineapple to the syrup and continue cooking at a boil until the sauce reduces and coats the pineapple. Step 4. Serve slightly warm along side the cheesecake. Recipe FAQ's Is cheesecake best baked or unbaked? They are two different desserts. The former is denser due to added ingredients such as sour cream and eggs and is usually baked in a water bath. The unbaked cheesecake is usually lighter in texture with fewer ingredients and depends upon gelatin to set it. Neither is better than the other. They are both delicious. Should I leave the cheesecake in its pan? Yes, since either baked or unbaked the cheesecake needs to chill in the refrigerator to firm it up. It should be released after setting up. Why do baked cheesecakes crack in them middle? There can be several reasons.
It could be the recipe. It could be baked too long. Normally, they are taken out of the oven when they are slightly jiggly and then cooled to room temperature before being refrigerated to set up competely. If they are put directly into the refrigerator, they may also crack. Expert Tips When adding gelatin to anything, the mixture to which it is added should be room temperature to ensure it combines smoothly. If a mixture is cold and the gelatin is introduced, it can become stringy and not set up. Two kinds of pineapple are used. Fresh pineapple for the sauce and canned crushed pineapple for the filling. Fresh pineapple has an enzyme that prevents gelatin from setting up. Under ripened fresh pineapple should be used for the sauce to keep it from becoming mushy when cooked. The Malibu Rum can be bought in small airline or single serve bottles in grocery or liquor stores which are perfect for this cake. 5 whole graham crackers can be processed to make the crumbs. Set aside.Cheesecake FillingHave all the ingredients except the cream at room temperature. If you don't wish to use alcohol, add the gelatin to 1/4 cup water and increase the coconut extract to 1 tablespoon.Pour the contents of the cream of coconut into a bowl and whisk to combine completely. Measure 1 cup for the recipe.Stir the gelatin into the Malibu rum or water. Set aside.Whip the cream in the processor fitted with the S blade until fairly stiff. Remove to a large bowl. Without cleaning the processor bowl, add the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Process until smooth, scraping down as necessary.Micowave the gelatin briefly to liquify it completely. Pour this along with the cream of coconut and coconut extract into the processor. Process to mix.Pour the contents of the processor over the whipped cream in the bowl.. Squeeze all of the liquid from the crushed pineapple and add it to the bowl. Fold all together and pour it over the crust. Smooth it out.
Refrigerate to set, about 6 hours or overnight.Release by heating the sides of the pan with a hair dryer on high. See my Lemonade Cake with Blueberry Sauce. for complete instructions and photos. Keep the cake refrigerated until serving.Caramelized Pineapple SaucePlace the butter, golden syrup or corn syrup and brown sugar in a skillet large enough to hold the pineapple.Bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Skim off the foam. Add the pineapple chunks and return to a boil. Continue to cook until the sauces reduces and coats the pineapple. Serve warm over the cheesecake. The sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to a week. Warm when serving. Lyle's Golden Syrup is a staple in English baking and I can tell you  it’s amazing.  It can be used wherever corn syrup or honey are used and it's great on pancakes and waffes.  It can be easily found online or stores that sell international items and brings a taste that substitutes simply can’t.  However, if you have to substitute I have seen clear corn syrup used. When adding gelatin to anything, the mixture to which it is added should be room temperature to ensure it combines smoothly. Five whole graham crackers can be processed into crumbs if not using purchased crumbs.  If you don't wish to use alcohol, add the gelatin to 1/4 cup water and increase the coconut extract to 1 tablespoon. Salud!!!

PERSONALITY
Kaia is extremely fortunate in the fact that she has dumb luck. It's usually this dumb luck that helps her get out of last-second obstacles. Kaia is also good with thinking outside the box; this makes her able to catch onto things that many others may not have thought about, or quickly brushed over. Another aspect that helps her with her line of work is that she knows a little about a lot; Kaia grew up with the ability to quickly get the hang of a new skill or activity, and thus she was easily bored - but, due to this she knows a wide range of info at a scale that can pertain to numerous topics. She's athletic, having had her fair share in sports growing up; soccer, volleyball, softball along with surfing and dance. She's always looking for new experiences and adventures, and is definitely someone who holds some pretty interesting stories. Kaia can easily build connections with others, but is used to keeping people at an arm's length due to the dangers of her job as well as the constant traveling. Her main goal in life is to experience and learn as much as she can about the world around her; as well as just to have fun and live every moment to the fullest. Kaia is super impulsive with her decisions, and this is due to the fact she is easily bored. She has good intentions, but is honestly chaotic in her actions. Is secretive by nature, and good at calling another's bluff; though she doesn't give the impression she's being secretive. Just overall, very fun-loving and here for a good time; always a 'why not?' type of vibe. She's just got her guard up cause of her past with her dad as well as her job.
WRITTEN BY: Noelle (she/her; any), est.
BACKGROUND / BIO
triggering / sensitive content: passive neglect.
For as long as Kaia could remember, she was living a double-life. Originally from Avalon, CA - the girl was always split from her mother's condo in Sydney AUS, and her father's shack in Tamarindo CR. Whilst with her mother, Kaia's days were filled with spa treatments and art galleries. With her father, Kaia was always fighting against his job for his attention. The only times she's genuinely "won" was when the activity took them to the shore.
It was through her father that Kaia learned how to dive and boat; also gaining vast knowledge of the ocean and its inhabitants. The love for the water grew to be a constant in both places; both her parents loving to surf. It was amusing to her, that the one thing that ever brought her parents together was the only thing that made her feel centered; like she could breathe.
It was high school when her father ultimately stopped with the beach trips. His job just fully took over, but there was a rift that grew between them. As Kaia grew up, she started to see the extremely hard-to-reach side of her father that drove her mother away; the expectations too high for Kaia to reach in order to gain any sort of attention from him. By the time she graduated high school with high honors, she was used to her father not showing up. He didn't care for her full ride scholarships, or that prestigious colleges wanted her.
Instead of cutting ties and giving up like her mother did, Kaia tried to reach him by delving deep into his work. It was so much so, that she specialized in marine archaeology as well as oceanography in her studies. It was through her research for her thesis, when she stumbled upon a forum regarding an old map for Pirate Benito Bonito's treasure in Cocos Island. Her thesis then surrounding the lost treasure. Maybe it was how her father scoffed, or maybe it was the discouragement from her preceptor that really had her drilling her life into solving the mystery after all. What was taking years for experts, only took Kaia about two weeks to solve and track down.
The amazing part wasn't having earned her father's attention or proving anyone wrong. It wasn't even how other doors began opening up for her in Costa Rica due to donating the treasure to the CR National Historic Society and Museum. It was the thrill and how similar solving the mystery was to how Kaia could breathe on a surfboard.
Since then, Kaia has been accepting quests from the wealthy, only to turn around and give it all to the museums and researchers. Recently, Kaia was caught straying from the original plan and running off with an artifact she feels is the key to a map she's been separated from. Due to this, she has been on the run and has decided to lay low in Merrock; taking on a cover job and assimilating to the small beach town way of life, to keep up the charade.

Coconut tropical cocktail ☺️🥥🥥🥥 How to make cocktail in coconut? You need to drill three holes on top of coconut. Coco water pour in some pan or glass. After that, in the middle of coconut hit with hammer from all sides. When you break crust, you would cut with knife part of coconut and get coconut glass 😊😉🥥 Ingredients can be optional: I used - coco rum - rum - cream of coconut Enjoy 😉 #cocktail #cocktails #cocktailparty #cocktailnight #drink #drinks #rum #malibu #coconuts #cococream #coconut #coco #coconutwater #bartender #barman #barmanlife #bartenderlife #bartenders https://www.instagram.com/p/B3-IIoflCS3/?igshid=3ypa5rcpp4t6
