Found a Darkthur sketch in procreate from about a month ago, decided to clean it up the tiniest bit to post. I know this isn’t necessarily the only or the most likely interpretation, but I absolutely love the narrative idea of this Arthur cutting off his own left arm when John gets too uppity.

I’m obsessed with the idea of Darkthur. Like how did he lose his arm? Did he freak out about John taking control and just like cut it off? Or was there an accident?

What’s his relationship with his John? Is he basically the King in Yellow and a darker version of our John (a Dohn if you will) and they’re just murder happy together? Or is John just stuck in the body of a homicidal maniac?

I have so many questions

I think Arthur wasn't going to divorce John initially, but after this blunder he's sooo gonna divorce him.

arkayne is fucking crazy bro like what do you MEAN you saw him, and only him, standing alone among the thousands of other versions out there, and decided HE was special. that HE was the only one who could posssibly help you with the one thing you couldn't solve yourself. what do you MEAN that no one, not even just a different version of him, could ever truly be what he is. was it because you saw yourself in him. in his struggle, in his will, in his violence. he's the only one of his kind with the will to do what he must to survive, and you're the only one of your kind with enough will to have done what you needed to. blood stains both of your hands, yet his gaze falters, his back turns, he cannot accept what he's done to get here. but you can. you're proud of what you are, what you've done, the fact that you were willing to kill yourself over and over again just to get here. you can recognize the beaty of violence. you are going to make him recognize it too. you're going to make him dance your steps.
