people always talk about evil clones like oooh a dark mirror oohh what if you saw what a cruel person you were/are capable of becoming. and well yes but what if you were the evil clone. what if you looked in the mirror and what you saw was so bright it blinded you. what if you had to know exactly how good you could have been.

The question for this issue was Do you have a human soul and can you prove it? And, of course, there was no definitive answer.

Malevolent ep 23

Save me again Malevolent nation. I'm reading a fanfic taking place in season 3 and that made me think about this particular thing:

When and How and What exactly Larson found out about Arthur and his connection to the KIY cult(?) before capturing him in his mansion.

In episode 23 "The Past" Larson mentioned that our boy "gave his name plenty" implying he knows quite a lot about Arthur Lester, his life, his job, etc. Also Larson mentioned having a place in Arkham:

So it seems Larson was following/spying on Arthur for quite a while now, before season 3. Probably not in season 2, since our boys were having misadventures in another dimension.

So, did it all started in season 1?

But Arthur actually didn't use his name that much since opening a book and killing Parker and Eddie. Fake ID and all that.

He told his name to Kellin. Loric, Kayne, King in Yellow also knew it. As the police, because he's a suspect for murder, and the librarian in Miskatonic - mr. Armitage. I don't remember if the cultists in the end of season 1 knew Arthur’s name. Well, I might be missing some plot points. Just curious, what exactly brought Arthur to Larson's attention in the first place. The Shub-Niggurath book with a fragment of a god, I guess? And I want an explanation WHY Arthur was thrown in Addison. I guess it's not the genre where you get all the answers, or I'm just not a good listener.

UPD: Like, it's not very elegant villain plan to capture a whimpering British hobo with a voice in his head...
