If I remember correctly, once ages ago you mentioned making a playlist of transmasc musicians... Is that still in the works?

Ha ha yes! I have been compiling a list of bands/musicians that are transmasc and who make punk, rock or just general harder music. Mainly because I came of age as a queer being obsessed with lesbian queercore punk (where are my Tribe 8, Team Dresch and The Butchies fans at) and was annoyed that there weren't really well known transmasc punk bands who made music about transness in a similar music genre! Coming out as a trans guy and being told to listen to Cavetown was like 9/11 for 16 year old me. So I've been doing a lil personal research project to fee vindicated but there is like. so much cool stuff out there I would want to showcase! Not to mention I want to look more at bands that aren't from England or America and include them too.

So it is still in progress! Plus it would probably be a list as a lot of these bands are not on youtube/spotify :p

However I've been making a music zine with my friend on the theme of music we relate to our gender/trans identity and I did make a lil playlist for it featuring some music by bands with transmasc members that's going to be linked on the back page with a QR code - here's that if you want a taste of what I want the final product of my research to sound like!
