‘Nother Haul

TDI outline has me in its grip (a good thing!) so I’ve been drawing the characters that are being featured based on where I’m at in the outline rn

Took another stab at Estormo, decided he worked best in the story if he remained older. Just decided to keep the goatee while I was at it. His hair is so dumb <3

And Miraak can’t eat or drink but he likes to hold hot cups of tea to feel the warmth through his gloves

Malborn <333 I will not rest until every Bosmer has antlers so I gave him antlers. I’m also making him a bard in my fic to fit in better with the story! I drew him with a flute here but have since changed his instrument of choice to an ocarina thanks to @bforblitz :]

And a Sam and Ataf <3 tbh I wasn’t super happy with either of these but at least they’re cute. I need to take another stab at Ataf’s design, it’s just not clicking for me here. I think I made him too androgynous in an attempt to draw him young(er than how Skyrim portrays him)

For any Skyrim character on your list, or, fuck it, anyone on your list, but add in Malborn, Etienne Rarnis, Marcurio, Erandur, and Gelebor: Do any of them do really weird shit, like some weird quirk, when they reach the peak of emotion? The emotion could be anything, from happiness to frustration to horny, just dialed up to 11. How do these men short-circuit?

I could go buck-wild with this one, so I'm going to stick to the specific characters you gave me, lol.

Erandur: When Erandur reaches the breaking point of anger, an extremely rare sight, he throws things, taking special care even in a fit of rage not to aim at or near someone. He'd never forgive himself if he accidentally cut his lover with a stray shard of glass from a vase he threw.

Etienne Rarnis: When Etienne can hold his laughter back no longer, he needs to brace himself against something or someone, otherwise he will simply double over, clutching his sides.

Gelebor: When Gelebor is on the fine line of being able to hold himself back from his love, his fists clench and unclench at his sides; he wants so badly to touch them, but is torn between his oath and his own selfish need.

Malborn: When Malborn is tired, but he can't quite sleep, he is prone to giggling at the smallest things. Really, it makes no sense what he finds funny, but he is so tired, and it is so late, anything will make him crack a smile. Even simply staring at him confusedly will make him laugh.

Marcurio: When Marcurio is on the brink of tears, whether it be emotional or physical pain, he bites his lip. Sometimes so hard it'll bleed. His pride keeps him from crying so long as he can help it.

Go to Windhelm to talk to Malborn and Brelas after Diplomatic Immunity/main quest; Malborn tells me about a suspicious khajiit hanging around the stables. We go to talk to the khajiits, one rats out the other one; Hadvar decapitates him before I can even get a hit on him. Go back to Malborn and Brelas and tell them it's safe to leave. I decide to follow them to try to make sure they get wherever they go safely. They both got killed by the bandits at Traitor's Post; I used console commands to resurrect them, then Brelas gets killed AGAIN by frost trolls just up the road, and Malborn starts walking back to Windhelm. I give up; I guess it just wasn't meant to be. RIP Brelas 🤣

I got a Skyrim kiss mod. Yes it’s true. At first I just got it for laughs to kiss random NPCs but then I actually tried it on Sam and oh. oh man it’s kinda really cute. Got some screenshots of Sam and Ego smoochin (yes they have their mask on still. it’s a thing). Maybe I’ll be embarrassed about posting this to tumblr later but for now I am thriving

How would Erandur, Gelebor, Etienne Rarnis, Malborn, Ancano, Marcurio, and Cicero react to surprise hugs?

Malborn and Ancano scream like little girls before they realize and no one can convince me otherwise.

(They scream for different reasons) Hope you enjoy these!

Ancano: Screams like a little girl because he's rarely been hugged and never by surprise, so his scream is more "BY THE GODS I'M BEING ASSAILED WHO'S LAYING THEIR HANDS ON ME?!" and less fear from the general suddenness. Once he realizes it's you, he's stern about letting you know that is not okay.

Cicero: Cicero may be mostly mad, but he hasn't lost all of his abilities as an assassin. You can't sneak up on him no matter how quiet you are. He just knows. He can feel eyes on him, and the hair on the back of his neck stands up; he has a sense for these things. Isn't surprised at all and greets you in his usual jovial manner.

Erandur: Jumps a little with a small "Oh!" but as soon as he registers the hug he calms, chuckling and grabbing your hands, asking about your day and temperament.

Etienne: Jumps a foot high in the air and immediately begins struggling only to realize he was being hugged. You might catch an elbow to the face if you're not careful, or aware of how he'll react.

Gelebor: Jumps internally. You've never actually seen him have an obvious strong emotion before, and this is no exception.

Malborn: Shrieks and attempts to fend off whoever's grabbing him. Poorly, but he's trying his best. Once he realizes he's not in danger, he calms. Barely. He's shaking like a leaf the entire rest of the day.

Marcurio: Verbally key smashes, then sighs. "Oh, it's you. Did you really have to do that? You could have just approached me properly."
