YJ Mako Mermaids AU (this post context)- Tail headcanons!!(and main powers)

Konners tail- (Hydro Thermokenisis)

Bright orange with dark red highlights on his more spike shaped fins. Very reminiscent of lava especially when the sun hits it just right. This is a tail made for POWER- lots of muscle under those scales that packs a nasty punch. He learned that after accidently smashing part of a reef bed, didnt hurt nearly as much as the lecture from Bart afterwards though.

Tims tail- (Hydro Cryokenisis)

A range of Blues from almost black to neon, extra fins are more wavy than pointed. It resembles something that would come from the deep sea and does in fact glow in the right light. A tail made for Dexterity above all else, tight twists and turns are a breeze. Though as a result of his new found ease, he's no longer allowed to play navigator since some of his "routes" are impossible for the others.

Cassies Tail- (None Siren song)

A gorgeous true and white gold that shimmers as she glides through the water. The real fun though? Her tail gives her the power and manuverability to launch herself out of the water at outrageous heights. Of course after a close call with her almost flopping on the deck of a Wayne research boat, she isnt allowed to do her "bursts" out of the water unless absolutely certian shes alone with her friends.

Barts tail- (Electrokensis)

An array of orange contrasted with white and black markings make Barts tail blend in the most of all. One advantage he does have over his friends is a tail made for pure speed, his top fin cutting through the water with no restraint. But such speed makes it hard to dodge objects when he isnt careful, and dragging an unconcious bart onto dry land while still in tails themselves? A nightmare.

None of their tails seem to tie back to any specific species of origin, but seem to have traits unique to their own features.

#my art #it’s mako mermaid au time let’s fucking go. but I ignored the iconic tail design from the show for reasons of fun.#grian #pearlecentmoon #geminitay #impulsesv #jimmy solidarity #goodtimeswithscar #cubfan135 #so pretty much how it starts is: Grian Pearl Gem Impulse and Jimmy are all mermaids. Scar and Cub work at a marine tours/museum type place.#cub’s in the museum area and scar leads diving tours off the mainland. they decide to look around the island to see if there’s anything the #should propose adding to the museum or tours. they spend the night and Scar falls into the moon pool. he gets dragged back to the surface #and figures it was a really weird dream so he and Cub go back to the mainland. meanwhile Gen Pearl Impulse Grian and Jimmy are freaking out #about what to do because a random human just fell into the moon pool during a full moon. they end up getting kicked out of the pod to go fi #this mess. Pearl ends up getting a moon ring from (undecided likely mermaid watcher character) and they end up getting legs via magic.#shenanigans ensue. it’s summer so they’re pretending to be tourists. and no they aren’t trying to track Scar down to kill him. just make hi #not a mermaid anymore. he probably won’t die from it. cub ends up finding out about the whole ‘scar is a mermaid’ thing pretty quickly and #decides to help out. especially with the whole hiding it while doing diving tours thing. more characters do appear but this lot’s the main #cast of the au.#by the way. fishy order is: sand devil shark- epaulette shark- orca(not a fishy)- clown loach- eviota sigillata- and guppy’s

I loved this beautiful Fanart of the Avatar series The Last Air Master of the characters of Zuko and Katara together especially because I love that in this beautiful fanart of them together it is with the theme of The Little Mermaid and that in the Katara it is the one who plays Ariel while Zuko plays Prince Eric but what I love the most is the fact that in it they are recreating the famous scene of The Little Mermaid from his beautiful song "Kiss The Girl"
