🛒 What's on the list? Any plots or ideas? Something you wanna write?

RP preferences meme - Accepting!

Things generally come to me when I get engrossed in some new piece of media and then it becomes "Oh, that could be a cool plot idea or a new chapter in a longer storyline!"

I can say these days it's harder to be inspired by memes, especially quote memes where it wouldn't make sense for most muses to say a quote line by line, doubly so with lyrics quotes. And situations can be iffy: I like slightly longer prompts with more of a scene set up in it versus a simple gesture prompt most of the time.

That said, I'm really hoping with the popularity of shows like Bridgerton and next year's release of the new Rose of Versailles movie that there will be an even larger interest in historical fiction, alternate history, and historical romance! I've written once with a Lady Oscar and once with a Charles-Henri Sanson from Innocent and, while done in contemporary settings, they were a lot of fun to indulge in. And I've done a few alternate history threads with Code: Realize crossovers, and even tried one with a Hakuoki muse, putting Sonia in that mid-19th Century Japanese storyline the otome game covers while trying to add real life historical elements as to why a European would be present. I love being able to use historical details and inspiration from both real life and historical fiction in RP, but it's not too popular in the Danganronpa fandom or other fandoms that tend to visit my blog.

tl;dr: Give me your historical muses from around 1750 to 1940s.

And while I've tiptoed around this sort of thread, I've never really gotten to do a long-term storyline in a non-despair verse of Danganronpa muses attending a school reunion, seeing what their lives have turned into after high school. Usually when muns have DR muses, I find they tend to want a high school storyline in non-despair or a post-SDR2 storyline. It's actually one of the reasons I love writing with OCs, particularly those not affiliated with Danganronpa: it gives me a chance to explore Sonia's life outside of the school, the killing games, and the canon in general. I enjoy writing how her experiences as a student shaped her as an adult (and not always with the crippling angst the canon provides).

Finally, I'd love to write with Danganronpa muses I don't usually see on tumblr! There's a handful that I tend to see often, on single or multimuse blogs, and while I don't mind writing with them I'd love a bit more variety: DR has such a large cast and so many muses go unrepresented (but this is 2024 and a lot of DR writers have moved on).

In short, this fandom has such a broad cast of characters and yet hardly anyone writes for at least half of them. It's sad. :(

Anything else though, I generally just wait to be inspired by something or have a mun suggest "hey, what if our muses got into this?" That's how some of my favorite interactions have unfolded.

My Danganronpa oc, Buyo, and her relationships with Danganronpa V3 characters:

Kokichi Ouma: He teases her a lot. She absolutely hates it and will willingly punch him in the balls every time she sees him.

Gonta Gokuhara: BESTIES. They find and catch bugs all the time together, and when they aren't doing that, they are always by eachother's side.

Shuichi Saihara: In between friends and acquaintances. They've spoken once or twice.

Kaito Momota: She follows him around and sticks sticky notes filled with random doodles on his coat. It annoys him slightly.

Maki Harukawa: Maki hates everyone, Buyo hates everyone (but Gonta). Mutual hatred for each other and everyone else.

Angie Yonaga: Buyo helps with the offerings to Atua by giving her blood to Angie.

Tenko Chibishira: They don't talk much, but Buyo admires Tenko's hatred for men.

Miu Iruma: Grrrg they anger at each other. Similar to Kokichi and Miu but without words. Just deathglares.

Kaede Akamatsu: Buyo thinks she's a bit bitchy. Just the little things Kaede does that pisses Buyo off.

K1-B0 (Kiibo): She will stare at him for minutes on end without blinking, and then go and blink at someone else. It freaks him out.

Tsumugi Shirogane: Buyo likes to listen to Tsumugi rant on about her favorite animes and how she makes her cosplays and such. They mutually enjoy each other's interests.

Rantaro Amami: Buyo had never really talked to him. All she knows is that he's a weed smoker from Kokichi's rumors... and the color of his hair.

Kirumi Tojo: Buyo likes her maid outfit. That's all.

Rioma Hoshi: She doesn't talk to him at all.

Himiko Yumeno: MAAAAGIC!

Himiko is forced into showing Buyo card tricks because it keeps Buyo entertained like a toddler on an ipad.

Korekiyo Shinguji: Once she found out he had a very feminine face under his mask, she kept fawning over him. She eventually got bored though as he was very stubborn and wouldn't show his face to her.

this is a rant but none of my friends like to hear me talk abt it. i love kokichi ouma to a deranged extent. i love him like a real person. he brought me really into the danganronpa fandom. i think of him every day. I am autistic, so i thought maybe it was a hyperfixation. but i dont think it is. i think i am passionately in love with this fictional character, the first danganronpa merch i got was of him. im not toxic, i dont think. i dont dislike characters because they're "mean to my uwu baby". my favorite female character is maki harukawa. so obiviously not. i just feel him as a comfort. he truly makes me feel better when im upset. ive tried to distance myself from him, to help with this. but i love him. i love his personality, his quirks, his passions and goals. ive thought about cosplaying him, because honestly maybe i just want to BE him. but. even though it brings me joy to think about cosplaying him. deep down, i think hes just. my favorite character. of all time. and i love him a lot.

-FTE time! they picked another of kokichi’s first. the pre-FTE dialogue being kokichi dragging shuichi around the entire dome looking for places the card key could go is cute, the actual FTE just being them having a tea party moreso. also: “my organization requires everyone to have an afternoon tea break. it increases productivity.” “ah. that sounds like a rather...peaceful organization.” “yup. the supreme leader, *ahem* me, is a pacifist. that’s why i settle fights with games.” i wanna see the DICE tea parties....do you think there’s actual tea or do they just put cheap soda in fancy (stolen) teacups.

-they only got time for one FTE...? weird. not as weird as the monokubs were being in the nighttime announcement though :[

-”by the way...this seems like a good time to ask, but...did you...like kaede?” “huh?” “well...i assumed you didn’t, because that would be weird.” “what do you mean, “weird”?” “liking someone you just met...especially in a situation like this...” (appropriately sepia-toned flashback to the hand holding scene.) “then tell me...under what circumstances is liking someone *not* weird?” “...huh? i...don’t know. i don’t...really understand what that is...nevermind. just forget i ever asked.” “forget you asked? why did you bring this up, maki?” “...no reason. i was only curious.“ “no reason? maki, you’re being...cruel. you ask me a personal question, then act like you don’t care-” “hey! were you guys making out while i was gone!?” WHPDJFHBDSF THANKS, KAITO. in all seriousness though i really do love this scene. shuichi’s right, maki *is* cruel here - but not on purpose. she’s poorly socialized and miserable and blunt and doesn’t understand what she’s feeling - of course she’d accidentally hurt her friends’ feelings sometimes. and it DOES clearly hurt shuichi’s feelings!! he doesn’t move on seemingly without even registering what she said (like the awful gonta shit earlier) or try to make an awkward joke (like in the lab). he just tells her flat-out ‘hey that was mean and made me feel bad’, and i think they were really going somewhere communication-wise before they got cut off!! (no real complaints though it was hilarious). i have (1) fic currently up on my ao3 rn and it’s a maki+shuichi fic i primarily based off this scene. the only maki characterization that matters 2 me <3

cosplaying ideas

Not a usual story post, but just something that I’d like to share.

If anyone doesn’t know, I’ve always enjoyed the idea of cosplaying. I’ve even cosplayed as Tsumugi Shirogane from Danganronpa V3. I figured that I could cosplay as her first, not only because I liked her character, but I thought that she would be easy to do because of me wearing glasses IRL.

I enjoy cosplaying as her, but I’d like to cosplay as other characters too.

When I get confident enough, I’d like to give Maki Harukawa a go. My hair is a similar colour to hers, so I would straighten my hair and tie it back in the same style as hers. It helps with saving money in buying a wig. The only problem is that I have to wear my glasses, but I’m not complaining that much.

A few years ago, I have also considered cosplaying as Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas, but that died because I was going through college and didn’t think about it that much at the time. Maybe for Halloween but I’m not sure at the moment.

However, the next character that I’m close to cosplaying as is Snufkin from the Moomin series. I’ve got a dress that I’m using for his smock, and some green trousers and a yellow scarf. I’ve even got a harmonica to help complete the cosplay. The only thing that I’m missing is the hat.

So what do you guys think?
