had to leave work early bc i was having trouble breathing again and also i just didn't wanna be there BUT when i got home i had a perfume sample for a full sized bottle im considering purchasing and also a full bottle of a budget knockoff of ANOTHER expensive fragrance ive been wondering about AND a free lip liner and balm AND a job application in my inbox that just needs to be submitted so they can officially make me an offer AND the full bottle of champagne i bought last night to help me motivate myself to get some shit done around the house. so everything is basically coming up millhouse ☺️

When i was 13/14 i made the most basic ass tumblr feminist post that ended up getting 400k notes (if you were on tumblr in 2014 or so you probably saw it lmao) and obviously it wasnt nuanced in any way like i made the surface level claim that women can wear makeup if they want bc they are doing it for themselves and thats not to say they cant wear it if they want its to say its impossible in our society to wear makeup for yourself. I only bring the makeup part up bc 1. My views have changed obviously and 2. I remember as this post was going around someone anonymous sent me an ask and said she was starting to interview for jobs/going into the workforce and she didnt want to wear makeup but was scared of how thatd affect her. All i could say at the time was, im just barely a teenager ive had no job so i cant say anything then some blanket advice i think. But now im 22 ive had multiple jobs and i want to take her by the shoulders and yell to the thin air that if shes up for a job that socially (or even forcebly, like soriorities do) requires her to wear makeup, IT ISNT WORTH IT. Itll never be worth it! Being forced to wear makeup, a bra, nice feminine clothes, always have plucked eyebrows, never a hair on your legs WILL NEVER BE WORTH IT. Ive got an office job right now where i can roll out of bed and throw on a hoodie and jeans and i love it. I wouldnt give it up for a $10k/annual raise and im being so serious. Im not a doll to be looked at. Im not a dress up toy. Im a girl who didnt have any clothes that truly, fully fit her to wear to the literal interview. They were bordering business formal at best. And im HAPPY.

Makeup is a farce. Whenever i see girls who have it CAKED on their face to the point i cant see their skin anymore i get so sad. Makeup can be fun, it can be cool and pretty on special occasions, its great for costumes, but lets face it, when you feel like you have to wear it everyday (no matter how little or subtle), youve never once put it on for yourself. The minute you let your bare face show enough that you get used to it, youll find yourself so so so much prettier than you ever did, and if youre anything like me, will start to despise how you look in heavy makeup (anything more than mascara and eyeshadow, if we're being honest). No job is ever worth losing yourself enough to forget how you actually look.

Hi guys,

Guys I think I may have gotten the best skincare sample of my entire life! I was browsing the makeup and skincare counters at John Lewis and my friends were looking at the La Mer counter. Now while I love my skincare the most expensive cream I will ever buy is Magic Cream and that is my complete limit. Now imagine how shocked I was when I noticed that a La Mer 15ml cream is £80!!!

Honestly when I saw the price I think the main working the counter saw how shocked I was because he asked if I was okay ( I must of gone more pale than usual). The lovely gentleman started talking about the brand and the benefit of the products and while he was amazing at his job it was a line I'm not crossing. After he was finished talking about the product we all started heading to another counter and he told us to stop and bless his soul he gave us all a 7 ml sample of the iconic La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream.

Once we left the counter we realised that sample if worth £40!!!! it's completely insane. The moisturiser itself is meant to be a cooling gel delivers soothing moisture for a refreshed feel. It leaves your skin looking naturally vibrant and restored to it's healthiest state. La Mer products include miracle broth is the famous ingredient featured in all La Mer products / collections, apparently it infuses skin with sea-sourced renewing energies (again this is information is from their site). Sounds crazy when you read their descriptions, now personally I have never bought a La Mer cream because the prices range from 15ml £80.00, 30ml £155.00 and 60 ml £290.00 which is insane!

Now does this cream feel amazing on my skin? Yes Does my makeup sit really well on top? Yes. But will I be buying a full size? Heck no! Personally I am happy to stick with my Magic Cream (which let's be honest is expensive enough!), though it was nice to finally try the iconic cream. As always all products mentioned are linked above, though I don’t know who’s buying a cream for that price lol.

i have had the worst cough of my life this past week and a half accompanied in turns by sore throat runny nose fever and headache....mostly having to avoid perfume, on my better days i find the only fragrance i can wear is glossier you. my only truly gentle scent, but i hardly ever wore it because sillage (at least when you can only apply with the rollerball) is nothing and longevity is like at most 2 hours. but the scent is really comforting. i think we are bonded now
