Sky gasped and grabbed Four’s arm. Four’s eyes went wide and he quickly looked Sky over for any signs of something wrong.

“That house has sour skittles,” Sky said.

Four let out a breathy laugh as he relaxed. Sky started pulling him towards the house.

“Wait, Sky! It’s 9:02!” Hyrule said.

Sky didn���t even glance back. “Sour skittles!!!!”

Hyrule laughed and hurried after them. Sky eagerly knocked on the door three times and then stepped back with a blinding grin.

As soon as the person opened the door, Sky exclaimed, “Trick or treat!!!”

“Oh, what wonderful costumes! A pumpkin, a Power Ranger, and… a spaceship?”

Hyrule smiled sheepishly. “I’m an alien in a UFO.”

“Wonderful! Take one each!” They held out the bowl; the glorious bowl full of share-size sour skittle. Sky shot a quick, wide-eyed grin at his friends as he grabbed the sour skittles. Four and Hyrule both dug through the bowl until they also pulled out packs of sour skittles.

Sky smiled very earnestly at the person. "Thank you!!"

"You have a nice night, now. Be safe!"

"We will!" They all parroted. They began to walk down the sidewalk, then as soon as the door shut, Sky turned to his friends with wide eyes.

Sky held out his candy bag. "I will owe you my life if you give me your sour skittles. You can have anything else."

Hyrule tossed his into Sky's bag. "You can just have mine. They're too sour for me."

"Treachery, but it works in my favor so I'll let it slide."

Four peeked into Sky's bag. "Trade for that Hershey bar?"

"Deal." Sky pulled it out immediately and switched with Four's sour skittles with a maniacal grin on his face.

"Ok, now we really should get to the ranch," Four said.

"It'll be fiiiiiiine. I said we'd use my disability to our advantage and I meant it," Sky said cheerily.

"And lying," Four added.

"And also lying, yes."

Short stories soon! I have several in mind already, I just want to post a few more Spice/Golden-centric ones before them. We gotta continue along Spice's accidental redemption lol. But there will be stories, I promise

Don't want to spoil everything immediately (that's for when I post the official character sheets lol), so eat these bits of trivia about both of them:

Pepper Jack:

While he's not outright claustrophobic, he does still get kind of anxious/wary in small or enclosed spaces. Rule of thumb for him is that he needs whatever room he's in to have at least one door, or one window that he can fly through (the window is more important tbh. He just... needs some sort of view of the sky). Have that and he's all good

He has a HUGE sweet tooth. He goes nuts over candy and cake and chocolate and all those things. (The best part of Aunt Hollyberry's visits is that she always bring him and his sister sweets from her kingdom. He loves Hollyberrian desserts, they sure know how to make them over there!)

He loves flying with all of his heart. Up in the air is where he feels the most free and at peace. He'll go on long solo flights when he wants to be alone or clear his head, as no one can reach him up in the clouds (besides his mom, but she tries to respect his need for space when it shows itself)

He also likes to sit/perch atop trees and just watch the world go by (he has a few "bird" habits, as you can see lol)

BONUS TO THE ABOVE: A game he likes to play with his father (and his sister, too, after she's born) is flying up and hiding in the treetops while they try to spot him from down on the ground within a certain time frame. No jumping up or climbing the trees or shaking them so he falls out, that's cheating! (Mom doesn't usually play because it's inherently unfair. She can fly just like he can, thus she'd find him instantly)

Matar Paneer:

She is OBSESSED with getting tattoos. She was drawn to her father's almost literally from the moment she opened her eyes and they registered in her mind. Whenever he held her as a baby, she'd try to reach for them and grab at them (and at the Light of Destruction, too. She was, like... hypnotized by the Soul Jam as a baby). Every single time her birthday rolls around, she tells people she wants tattoos just like her papa (the answer is "no, you're too young" for most of her life. She gets Very Big Mad every time). She's been caught drawing and painting on herself multiple times, trying to make her own (Golden scolded her if she got her clothes dirty, but otherwise, she and Spice just thought it was adorable). She WILL get her tattoos someday, there's no doubt about that. (But what they'll look like remains to be seen...)

She loves all of her "extended family" (all of her parents' friends lol), but her #1 favorite person is Mozzarella. She and Auntie Mozzarella are two peas in a pod, partners in crime. The same way Smoked Cheese mentors and indulges Pepper Jack, Mozzarella mentors and indulges Matar Paneer. When she feels like she's struggling, and like she can't turn to her brother or her parents, she goes straight to Mozzarella for comfort and advice

Her katar were gifts from Cilantro Cobra (who is alive and well in my canon don't @ me). They were a labor of love from her and the other cobras, crafted and sharpened with the utmost care and precision. She even went the extra mile and had symbols carved into them: Golden Cheese Kingdom hieroglyphs in one, Wild Spice symbols and patterns in the other. They are some of Paneer's most prized possessions

She's very particular and fussy about her hair, and would prefer that nobody touches it lol. Her dad is the only one with 100% free reign, as they have literally the exact same hair, color and texture and everything; the only difference is hers is somewhat shorter and she wears it in a low ponytail. She thinks he's the only one who "understands" her hair lol.

BONUS TO ABOVE: She and Spice have a cute little daddy/daughter bonding thing where they'll brush each other's hair. He does hers first, then he lets her do his next. He has to sit on the floor and hunch over/bow his head so she can reach properly because she's so much smaller than him, but he doesn't mind. She babbles at him about random things while she works and tries extra hard to do a good job, and it just melts his manly man heart lol

66. Have you read HS2? Do you like it?

Kind of and also no. I read the Candy John parts, so I could make comics and put the "real and accurate John Egbert" in that situation, which I did with HS2 and HS:BC. They did him dirty by taking away his entire personality of being a bitch, his repressive habits, and being devoid of emotion in the most fucked up of situations.

I thought John the only "real" person left in that timeline, as a foil to Ult Dirk letting Meat!John into going to a suicide mission so that he could dispose of him, and also because Ult Dirk is afraid of him. Candy!Dirk took the easy way out and John DESERVED be mad about that. Not even the HS:BC could fix that. The art is cool but with the price of my blorbo being reduced into some bland fuck who I don't fucking know.

So, in this universe, Nimona is one of Vaatu's kids/lesser aspects, she's specifically the spirit of the chaos of nature. not the whole peace and harmony bs air nomads want to believe in, she's the spider trying to eat the fly and the fly trying as hard as it can to escape and developing poison to kill the spider when it does catch him and a million tiny bits of chaos rolled into one.

As for Gloreth, she's one of history's most successful avatars. Not only did she banish dozens of dark spirits and helped establish the separation of benders to their respective nations, she directly contributed to one of the greatest bastion of order and harmony in the world: the white lotus. Not that they even really remember her. No the only ones who remember her enough to celebrate her is the kingdom that stands where her hometown once stood: Ba Sing Se. The ultimate bastion of order and separation, so symbolically powerful with its walls and absolute control that even Vaatu himself would be weakened.

Finally, we get to a few years before canon, and Nimona is having a blast. Sure she's not exactly jazzed about all the civilians and children dying, but the sheer fight of it all. and besides, this wouldn't be the first "final war" leading to an "eternal reign" that she'd seen and it definitely wouldn't be the last. Sooner or later the whole thing would collapse, either from the sheer impossibility of trying to rule the whole planet or some spirit getting pissy and deciding to put the smite down. Personally, she's hoping for a civil war.

But then she starts hearing rumors about the fire nation ruling family and she's just gotta see what this shitshow is about. And what does she find but a little girl, brother freshly banished and her friends leaving for bigger better things. And her, full of so much potential if she wasn't chained down by so much...order. Well what sort of chaos spirit would she be if she let that stand? It took a bit of shapeshifting and a lot of bullshitting, but you're looking at Princess Azula's new royal handmaiden.

A few years go by, and with a bit of effort and some "gentle encouragement" Azula is literally stealing candy from babies and writing up plans to overthrow her dad. But then Azula gets the order. Capture our brothers and the avatar and prepare to take Ba Sing Se. Getting in to fights, getting back at her stuck up ex's reincarnation, AND destroy that eyesore of a kingdom? Oh, this is gonna be fun

Cait; Wouldn't have a taste for fancier cuisine. Eats more...hick-ish. I can say that because I was a hick with this kind of diet, growing up. Has a taste for filling, cheap, low-effort food...think lots of fast food, but "healthier" fast food. Like Chipotle, Panera, etc. Can cook, doesn't often, but will if she has a craving. Savory or tart tastes. She tends to eat lighter than you'd expect.

Blueberry brownie anything, favors dark chocolate in general

Submarine sandwiches, anything with pickles

Key lime pie

Salt and vinegar chips and thinks critics of such chips are cowards

Peach Redbull, any energy drinks though

Storebought hummus and Doritos, has been seen eating hummus with just a spoon though

Blueberry bread pudding. Simple to make, fun to eat, very comforting. Buys her bread already stale from a local bakery, has a guy to hook her up with the old shit

Curie; Health nut, she eats like every influencer claims they eat like. Only, Curie actually eats like that. Lots of fresh foods and whole grains, little red meat. However, Curie makes a point to have foods that other health nuts would condemn, thinks its really important to not label any food as "bad." So, she balances between health nut and normal person. Her taste leans toward bright and/or sweet. Dislikes red meat.

Tropical fruit smoothies, eats so much pineapple

Iced tea, favors raspberry. Never seen without an iced tea of some kind

Smokey and savory flavors are his thing, likes more spice than people expect.

Hancock; Similar to Deacon, but favors fatty, greasy food. No, it's not the drugs, that's just his metabolism. He's a skinny twink, always starving, can never put on weight. Eats as much as Danse, who is a big guy and needs more calories than most. He's really into street food and foreign dishes, won't eat at a restaurant if they speak fluent English or have good customer service. IYKYK. Very comfort food heavy, lots of "this would slap with Netflix at 2 am"

MacCready; forces himself to learn how to cook for Duncan's sake, but for himself...good God. It's horrible. Eats like garbage. Would never drink water if not to set an example. Take out, frozen food, so much candy and soda. After Duncan, broadens his horizons. Finds he really likes soups. Just throw shit in a pot and it works. Eats on a budget, so that's a life-saver. Doesn't have a preferred flavor pallete, aside from his love of candy.

Used to drink Mountain Dew and diet coke, replaced it with iced teas and more organic fruit juices for the sake of his teeth

Nick; Home-cooked meals all the way. Could kill himself with cheese and die happy. Lots of easy meals and snacking so he can keep working, but will treat himself to a nice, hard-earned dinner when he has the time and energy. Likes himself the smokey, the fresh, or the sour. Probably knows all the best sub shops in the city, probably in a turf war with regulars of rival shops. Jewish delicatessens are like church to him.

Lasanga. Most of his freezer space is lasagna. Eats so much of it. He's lactose intolerant. It hurts but it hurts so good

Latkes. Fried potato things, kind of like hashbrowns, except the potato is mashed/ground instead of grated. And yes. Also pastrami. But those little potato bitches...mmmph.

Suckers/lollipops, big on hard candy in general but the stick satisfies her smoking habit.

Preston; A mix of easy depression/bulk meals and dishes from his childhood. Lots of spices, cooks with a lot of straight peppers. Tends to eat his food 'raw', not made into a dish. Again, easy and quick to eat. Also tends to buy pre-prepared stuff for the same reason, buys more fruits and veggies and just eats them straight. Doesn't care about eating healthy, he just lacks energy to cook most days.

I have no choice to explain this as it has no name. Casserole dish, layer of mashed potatoes, layer of shredded or chunked chicken, layer of white breakfast gravy or brown poultry gravy, top with drop biscuits. It's buttery, its savory, it is white as snow. Easy, cheap, one ladlefull is dinner. You'll get a few meals out of it, and it's so filling you have like, five minutes before you're stuffed. I call it gut-glue.

Eats mostly vegetables, but his favorite foods skew from "Dubai Influencer" to "12 year old who earned too much lawn mowing money and was let loose in a convenience store." So much sugar. Willy Wonka's factory is his idea of heaven and until it exists, he's an atheist.

Making friends on Tumblr is my absolute favorite thing. One of my most beloved friends I made on here is someone I admired and was intimidated by for months before I saw that they wrote books. I wrote them random asks like 'where would you rather live? In an apartment above a bookstore in the city or in a cabin in the countryside'. Then I worked up the courage to ask if I could read any of their books, and they sent me a link to their Google docks. I read that book in 14 hours. I stayed up all night reading it. After a few hours, maybe, I got so tired that I just started live reacting to the book in their dms. And now I've seen their tits and they've seen mine. We are straight up crushing on each other! It's been what? A year? Two maybe???

Another of my dearest friends on here I made by following one big ish blog. They were friends with this amazing artist on here and reblogged a bunch of his art. I saw that art and thought it was amazing so I started following the guy. Then he posted his kofi link so ppl could commission doodles from him and I thought fuck yeah and sent him some money. I forgot to put in my tumblr name however and it instead used the last name I had used on kofi instead by auto filling. So he had no idea who wanted a doodle and he had to make a post like 'hey who's fookof and what do ya want me to draw for ya' so I had to dm him. Yada Yada Yada now we're real good friends. I mean we have each other's addresses and stuff lol.

And then there's my friend I made over ao3 by commenting on their post all the time. I saw they made a tumblr, and I immediately reached out to say hey and who I was on ao3 lmao.

I also made a friend only talking about this one character from an interactive fiction game called The Passenger (Jonny, my beloved). We talk about other things now, but that's how it started!

Another friend I made by watching the livestream of a big blog I follow. They streamed over YouTube, and the link they shared was accidentally the link to join the stream instead of just watching it. Anyways he suddenly popped up, and I thought he had a lovely smile. He shared his tumblr name and I went and followed him immediately. I then wrote him an ask that said something along the line of 'You have a lovely smile, it's so contagious 😊 ' and he shared his twitch account! I watched a ton of his streams and talking with him in the comments, I fell asleep listening to his voice! It was lovely. And then we joked about giving out our addresses so he could send me girl scout cookies and I could send him danish candy. And then we did!! It was great!

Another very, very dear friend of mine that I love AND HAVE ACTUALLY MET! TWICE! (Although first time doesn't really count since we weren't friends there.) We met irl first through a school program thing where I visited his country with my class. We exchanged tumblrs, and I followed him and then did not interact for like 3 years lol before, I finally reached out to apologize for something I did when we met. And then we started talking more! And now he's my absolute best internet friend!! We made ocs together and have so many au's lol. I think about our characters all the time, they're my blorbos, haha.

Idk what I wanted to say with this post. I just wanted to talk about my beloved friends. I love making friends over tumblr y'all are amazing.

o His favorite toys that his father's given him are a teddy bear (which he named "Mr. Cuddles") and a pull-along wooden duck that quacks as it moves. 🧸🦆

o (this technically is canon but idc) He is extremely ticklish. And Geppetto uses this to his advantage and he has tickle fights with him often.

o He really likes pancakes drizzled with honey, w/fresh fruits and powdered sugar for breakfast 🍯🍓🥞

o His favorite hobbies are playing outdoors, reading, drawing (which tbh I think he'd be really good at), and spending time with his father 🥰

o Pinocchio is baby <3 that's it. That's the headcanon. (Which is canon anyway, but just reminding ya'll)

o His fav candy is saltwater taffy. Idk why, I just feel like he'd really enjoy taffy

o He is still traumatized from his ordeal. So sometimes it comes back to him (nightmares, certain sounds and feelings, etc.). But thankfully, his father is there to help comfort him and calm him down ❤️

o In the film, Pinocchio didn't actually drown. Monstro smashing against the rock formation thrust the seawater forward with such force that it carried Pinocchio (who is very light) with it; he couldn't resist against the water.

There were many large rocks lining the shore. The current of the seawater thrust Pinocchio's head into one of the rocks; the impact killed him. :cries:

OC-Tober Day 1: Fave OC

cutting it a little close, as It's almost midnight where I am- but I'm using today to talk about my favorite guy Vex!

I've already given a basic introduction for him on my characters page, but that just means I can talk about fun stuff! (I recommend reading his blurb first for basic info, cause I'm just gonna start talking assuming you know it)

TALKING ABOUT THE BLORBO UNDER THE CUT

In Dualiti, most magic users have a basic theming their magic is centered around (like say, dinosaurs or magical girls or anything else you could potentially be passionate enough to make your magic look. On a surface level, Vex's magic is themed after shadows- but on a closer look, it's actually based on fears and what unsettles people. (he just thinks it's neat) And extending that interest, one of Vex's hobbies is making fucked up monsters of various sizes. (very sketchily drawn example below)

he has a lot of fun.

Vex is also immortal due to various magic reasons- to specify the type of immortality, this means basically anything can happen to him and he'll be fine. This can mean he's often a bit blasé when something happens.

he's fine. don't worry about it.

He's best friends with V-33, Dualiti's resident artificial intelligence! V-33's the latest iteration in a system that was made almost 1000 years ago, around 10 years right after Dualiti was founded! (when the containment barrier around the country went up.)

Relating to people he's known since Dualiti started, Vex also occasionally hangs out with Laurel, but mostly that involves the two of them trying to kill eachother. because when you're both indestructible and stupid powerful, you kill time however you can. they do occasionally hang out as friends, though. because being sworn mortal enemies is actually a lot of work sometimes. so they chill for a bit until they remember the fact that they cannot fucking stand eachother.

I think it's not necessarily angsty due to the events of the fic itself (which is mostly smut tbh) but due to what happens in canon later on and how it's alluded to at the end of the fic... bloohooohoooo i will never NOT be crying over the dark era!!!!

end of the year fic asks! give us a behind-the-scenes look at "for want (for nothing)"; why did you include a scene, when and where did you figure out that one tricky sentence, which part wrote itself, things like that!

thats a fucking thing? well lucky for YOU i LOVE talking about my own writing and that fic DEFINITELY has quite a few "bts" things i could talk about lmao

first thing to start off with is that i actually rewatched and studied that corruption scene in canon quite a bit while i wrote this. i needed the refresher and Man did i realize i forgotten a bunch of major plot points (most of which werent actually relevant to the fic) lol. but anyways the structure of my fic is pretty strongly based on its canon counterpart and theres a lot of little things i took inspiration from and just injected more flavor to it. like kai uses lightning a lot??? which make sense production wise bc thats like. probably easiest element to show off and make it look cool. so yay! excuse to use my jay bias and favor using his powers lol

in general that fic was a means for me to write a character study for kais character which i love a lot. he is my second fav blorbo. i have a huge weakness for older siblings in media. and kais shift in character is so interesting even if it was never done with conscious intention. ninjago Definitely uses every single one of their characters as pawns to advance the plot of whatever rather than you know. treating them like characters who are people. so theyre inconsistent with or contradicting themselves. characters are used however the writers seem fit with the situation at hand. i think the corruption scene is a fair example of it. kai was over it right? the whole green ninja thing? and yet. anyways my fic was an attempt at reframing and adding context and depth to kais character bc man did think about these fucking legos a lot for some goddamn reason when its a bad show!!! maybe some of yall will hate me for saying it. but man. ninjago sucks more often or not. not Entirely BUT A LOT OF IT IS NOT OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY.

and that sorta gives me an awkward segue into lloyd. haha. you know the line "A brat who had everything handed to him by destiny. It wasn’t because he deserved it. It was simply because he was born special."? well. it makes sense in the context of the fic that kai feels this way bc thats the natural conclusion the fic flowed into. But Also. i wont lie. that is my own genuine thoughts about lloyds development as a character. lloyds writing fucking BLOOOOOWSSS. and none of it is his fault. its the writers fault. but MAN its the LAZIEST DESTINED HERO/LEADERSHIP CHARACTER ARC I EVER SEEN. IT COULDVE BEEN INTERESTING. but no it was too simple too forced too Cheap. too shallow. its like they picked his little minifig and decided he Must be the prophesied hero no matter what :) and they forced his little lego feets into the studs of Destiny above everyone else and made it happen in the easiest way possible. by simply declaring it. forcing him into the role unnaturally. and because hes the Chosen One that means hes very very very important right? so NATURALLY hes the leader also! HELLO HES A FUCKING BABY??? NO SENIORITY?? any leadership skills he gained is because he was Forced to develop them, not because hes a natural leader. i could talk shit about his treatment all day but all in all i hate the flagrant favoritism the show gives lloyd when its meant to be a show with a team dynamic. i dont hate lloyd but i sure do hate the way his character "developed". this fucking baby was fed too many rare candies and some evolutionary stone on top of it. hes not the best he could be as a character because none of it naturally happened. no care put into developing his characters. i could accept lloyd being the green ninja or being a leader. if it were written well at least. ANYWAYS. kai is a subtle projection of me. or closer, a messenger. he was corrupted by me in way considering i was the writer lol. but it works because theres a bit of truth in there isnt there?

also that fic also happen bc i wanted to writer fun elemental power stuff along with fucked corruption. i love fantasy power things. and i LOVE rancid rotting feelings

This is a mix of canon compliant and modern AU headcanons btw because I have lots of AU's in my wip's/idea list! Also some of these might only exist in wip's but I'm sharing them anyways

Neurodivergent (AuDHD)

Favorite way to stim is by pretending he's conducting while listening to music

Favorite candy is gummy worms. He likes the sensory experience of how chewy they are + bonus points for being fun-shaped.

Building off of the last one, his favorite foods in general are anything fun-shaped. Smiley fries. Dino chicken nuggets. Character themed macaroni and cheese. If left to his own devices would eat nothing but candy.

One of five kids. He has two older sisters and two younger brothers. When he was little his parents thought the reason he didn't act like a "normal boy"/traditionally masculine (he was very sensitive, liked music and fairy tales, didn't get into fights or play with toys meant for boys) was because he had only his older sisters as role models. But after his brothers were born and they fit easily into socially accepted gender roles, his parents started to treat him poorly and as if something was wrong with him.

Has a really complicated relationship with his own gender. Has a lot of internalized shame around who he actually is vs. who his family and friends have always expected him to be.

Likes having conversations with Baby Doll about gender :) They get along really well!

Nini gets his number from Satine and periodically sends him vaguely threatening texts about what she'll do to him if he ever so much as thinks about hurting Satine. Christian is utterly terrified of Nini. Satine has no idea this is happening.

Loves romcoms. Will cry while watching movies.

He LOVES taking baths. He loves anything that makes baths more fun, like scented bubble baths and sparkly bath bombs. It's one of his favorite date night things to take a bath with Satine.

The first time Satine takes him to a store with bath bombs, he gets so excited by how pretty everything is that he forgets it's soap and he eats some. They have to leave. (No I will not elaborate on this. The idea came to me out of nowhere and I'm putting it in a fanfic because it makes me laugh every time I think of it haha)

He loves carrying Satine around

He loves being on his knees for Satine (sexually and non-sexually)

The first time he and Satine have a real fight he loses his temper and yells at her. It scares her, and Christian doesn't think he'll ever forgive himself for it no matter how many times Satine reassures him that she's okay

Christian is high-energy and very enthusiastic, but I like to imagine he calms a lot of that down around Satine, especially when she's still learning to trust him. I think after a couple of times he accidentally startles her by reaching for her too quickly he becomes a lot more careful because more than anything he wants her to feel safe around him

Wakes Satine up ridiculously early on Christmas because he's just so excited

Out of the two of them, he's the better cook.

Gonna have to go with Red Dead Redemption 2 (to everyone's surprise.....) I don't think I've ever been more insane about a game ever and the way I never get tired of it. It's become a huge comfort game for me, it just hits in so many ways. and also john marston

The beach on the little island near where I live. Every summer as a kid we would go there with our boat. The sland has a little kiosk and I remember so vividly walking barefoot from the grass outside to the cold tiles inside and buy ice cream. There's also a compass carved into the rocks from the 1600's out there!

as per usual, Bonanza (1959-1973).... But mostly because of the immense comfort it has brought me throughout the years. The show has NEVER failed to make me feel better or get me through tough times.

but just for silly mention, atm I'm watching a show called Fastlane (2002) and IM OBSESSED with it. Devastated it only got 1 season cause I could have watched 10 more of that show
