Forsake Me Here by MonsterBoyf - complete, 8k, Wilson-POV, ambiguous setting. Wilson has intrusive thoughts about mutilating House. He tries to cope. features a lot of very graphic imagery and does an excellent but extremely accurate job of portraying an OCD-spiral that could be triggering to people. i LOVE this fic i think about it so so much.

An Inconvenient Truth by anathaema - complete, 15k, House-POV, ambiguous setting. contains the quote “You’re the suicide bomber of revelations” and is one of the funniest things i’ve ever read. plus the way in which wilson’s sexuality in this fic is handled is honestly so realistic and entertaining. HIGHLY recc this to absolutely everyone who enjoys hilson

Aftershocks by black_cigarette - series, around 125k in total, various POV’s, set sometime post-Tritter arc. this fic IS gen, but honestly, i didn’t know that going in and didn’t realize it wasn’t a slash fic until the very end. tldr is that wilson is brutally assaulted because house has been gambling with some unsavory people, and house helps him deal with the aftermath. this fic does not pull punches. its is extremely graphic and everything wilson goes through is described in detail. it is a messy story about recovering from brutal trauma and everything that entails. DISCLAIMER: there are sequel(s) to this series available on the author’s livejournal, but i haven’t read them and can’t speak to anything they discuss.

I absolutely love the big, intimidating-looking person who turns out to be a softie (especially for the person they hold dearly) trope. Personal fave because sometimes you just wanna be held in the arms of someone oh so strong. This also ties in with the trope of the character only being so soft around their beloved. Also, he gives off 'devoted knight' (in a twisted way) trope just from a glance.

I have heard about people writing Capitano being so devoted to his beloved (us) and it makes me ill (/pos); banging my fists on the walls. Because of that, I have had this image in my head of the dynamic:

Love me that size difference- Like,,, imagine how big his hands are. I know they're probably cold BUT NO LISTEN! Just imagine him placing his big cold hands on your soft tummy/plush skin for warmth. His fingers are splayed out and he is oh so gentle when handling you. The man could probably crush someone's skull with those hands, but they also tenderly stroke your face.

OK SO SINCE I BRIEFLY MENTIONED MY OWN PERSONAL SHIP OF JOHNNY & CARL. i'm gonna ramble about their ship dynamic bc they make me so ill in the brain /pos

in terms of THIS blog though, i try to leave Carl's character more vague and open-ended, since i'm not rp'ing him anyway (i would, but honestly i don't have much confidence in writing smart nerdy characters like him rip), and also bc i wanna leave enough room for Johnny's character here to be able to establish connections with other people's muses for rp. so not all of this may actually apply to this blog! but i just wanted to ramble about it anyway bc it's fun lol — and also maybe it could give people some inspo for how THEIR muse's dynamics could play out with Johnny, too! so there's that!!

SO. i headcanon Carl to be a trans man, which plays a big role in his dynamic with Johnny. in a way, Carl sort of looks up to Johnny as a symbol of what it really MEANS to be a man. it's a big reason as to why he tolerates Johnny's teasing so much — because that's just what men do, right? and honestly, it's not entirely wrong, as it's largely because Johnny DOES view Carl as a man that he has no problem with teasing him, horseplaying and ribbing each other all the time. it's mostly just a matter of how far Johnny takes it, as he doesn't always consider when he's crossing the line. for instance, he's so much bigger and stronger than Carl, so when they play around, Johnny might not always take that factor into account and accidentally shove Carl across the room or something. or he might make a joke or two that totally crosses the line and offends him. and the excuses that Carl typically makes for his friend are things like, "Well, he didn't mean to. He was just playing around. Maybe I just need to be less sensitive!"

but being friends with Johnny does have its upsides, too. although the friendship may not be perfect, they both still look out for each other. Johnny is extremely protective of Carl, and he's pretty much the ONLY one who gets to tease him. that's HIS nerd. he especially likes to give Carl all kinds of tips and pointers on how to be "more of a man," particularly when it comes to relationships. he's always trying to teach Carl what to do with a hypothetical girlfriend. "Remember, you always wanna make the first move. Don't just wait around hopin' for somethin' to happen! Open the door for 'em when you go anywhere. The ladies love a good, strong man who can take charge." and so on. of course, nevermind the fact that Johnny hardly even follows his OWN advice half the time...

this is where their friendship can be a little... questionable. essentially, Johnny projects his own ideal version of a man onto Carl. although neither of them initially realize it, Johnny is basically just listing off qualities that HE finds attractive in a man — and this has its pros and cons! on one hand, there's definitely something to be said about Carl needing to be true to himself, and not listening to every little thing that Johnny tells him, so there's certainly that aspect to unpack.

but on the other hand, Carl does genuinely want to know how to present himself in a more gender-affirming way, and as someone who was raised and socialized in a feminine light, he actually COULD use some of the pointers that Johnny gives him. so it's not all bad, so long as Carl learns to treat Johnny's tips with a bit of skepticism and still allows room to express himself naturally.

and this dynamic not only has its benefits for Carl, but for Johnny too! when Johnny later realizes that he's gay and attracted to Carl, that's obviously a very big shock for him. he might not know the first thing about dating men instead of women! but Carl has already spent so long listening to everything that Johnny has taught him about men so far, so when they start dating, Carl gets to put all of those new skills to good use in the relationship — and since those skills were Johnny's own ideals projected onto him, that really amplifies Johnny's attraction to him even more. it's nice to see Carl be more confident in himself and "take charge." this allows Johnny to figure out exactly what his own preferences are in a relationship, what he likes and doesn't like, and what his standards are.

and, in a way, it allows Johnny to relax and not feel the pressure to put on such an over-the-top masculine performance himself — as he's someone very much affected by toxic masculinity. it's pretty much the direct opposite of Carl's situation. whereas Carl actually benefits from learning more about masculinity and how to utilize it, Johnny instead benefits from UN-learning that thought process for himself, and allowing himself to express himself without the need to "act like a man" all the time.

so, by allowing Carl to "take charge" more often in the relationship, Johnny gets to learn how to be more open and vulnerable, and is provided with a sense of long-term stability — and in turn, Carl learns more how to stand up for himself, gains more confidence in himself, and grows to feel more comfortable in his body. although it may take years for them to fully reach that point, it's a mutually beneficial relationship. they balance each other out, with their respective identities as MEN playing a big role in their dynamic as a couple!

Dinobot :( fun fact— the reason this episode looks so cinematic is because it is the only episode in the entire series to actually have proper storyboards made before animation started. Normally when they make an episode the animators just got the scripts/recorded lines and could animate the characters however they wanted (given the direction of the story ofc), but they actually did proper storyboards this time because they knew this was a very important episode, and they wanted to do it justice.

Mammon and you were a thing now. Well, for quite some time. You were overjoyed when the King of Greed seemed to get interested in you. It wasn't easy, not gonna lie, but you two managed. Mammon wasn't the easiest to be around, but somehow, you still loved him regardless. Despite what your friends told you, it felt genuine. Like he really meant it and didn't see you as some kind of arm candy or pet to keep just for fun. Your heart told you that, so you simply ignored everyone's remarks.

Mammon was extremely jealous and possessive. There was hardly any moment when you interacted with somebody else, where he didn't feel the need to step in and show the other that you were his. At home (well his home since the mighty king would never spend any second in your shitty apartment so he just took you with him) he often made nasty remarks of how dude A surely had the hots for you or that gal B was just after you to get closer to him. It was absolutely ridiculous! Every time you told him that this was not true, that you only have eyes for him, even if somebody else WOULD have a crush on you. In some way you even felt flattered that a Deadly Sin would be so protective over an unimportant hellborn like you.

But GOSH, one day he even went wild because you talked to the Glam sister. For real?! Yes, Glitz had been frisky, but hell! They are flirty and cocky with everyone! No matter how much you tried to ensure him that you DID NOT have a thing for them and that they were in no way any danger to you and him, Mammon´s jealousy and anger never seemed to fade.

"Yeah? If ya really aint fallin for their jiggly boobs, why did you smile at them and oh bring them some fucking coffee?! And by the way, I SAW HOW YOU LOOKED AT GLAM´S FAT ASS!!"

You stared at him for a second. "Excuse me??"

"YEAH DUH! I KNOW WHAT I SAW AND DONT LIE TO ME, CAUSE I KNOW YOU ENJOYED IT!"

Again, you stared at him in disbelief. "Wtf? First, I smile at them because I am just being nice to them! Second, where the hell am I supposed to look when they ask me which of their butts are bigger? And third-"

Baring your in comparison way smaller teeth, you hissed at him. "For hell´s sake! Get your shit together Mammon! Fuking belive me when I tell you that nothing happened!" Your sudden outburst seemed to have startled him. Never had you snapped at him like that.

"Why would you even believe I would do such a thing?! Don't you trust me??"

The big Jester fumbled with his words, but managed to grumble under his breath: "How the fuck am I supposed to know.. I mean-"

"How are you supposed to know? Are you serious?? Gosh! Because I tell you every god damn day! Maybe that´s how!"

Now he just stood there, clenching his fists and facing the floor. His expression sour. "I jus´ don't like sharing you with others... okay?"

Your posture softens and you put your hand on one of his lower arms.

"It´s okay. I know you have difficulties with that, Babe. I am sure we can work this out. Okay?" <3

He was quiet for a few seconds but then answered: "Yeah...but could you please talk less to them? You know... it is making me angry."

You inhaled and held your breath, trying to hold back your frustration. It was obvious it wouldn't be easy with him, but you honestly would expect a bit more from an immortal entity than acting like a damn man-child. A Mam-child. Oh dear...

"No, sorry can not do. I work with them. I have to at least talk to them. Besides, you have to learn to trust me. You can't force me to keep away from people only because you want me to. This is not how it works!"

Mammon huffed, gripped your shoulders and drew your face close to his. "Listen, you little brat, I am really trying here! So cut me some slack and get your cute little ass off and away from them." His voice was low and threatening. This was in no way a suggestion. This was a demand.

"No." you said firmly and looked him deep in the eyes.

"No?" he repeated. Sparks danced around his features. Mammon tried to intimidate you just like he did with all of his employees and servants. But you were no servant. While the tone and his looming presence made your heart race and your knees weak, you still refused to give it. While it was true that you were just a measly hellborn in comparison to a mighty entity like him, but last time you checked you were his lover. His little gold nugget.

"I said no! You cannot tell me what to do and who to stay away from...just like I could never tell you to stay off the Glam sisters. I saw how they try to get in the sheets with you! But do I make a fuss about it? No!"

Mammon started to laugh. "Ya think I can´t tell you what to do? Pleeeaaase. I am your boss AND your king! If I tell you to get me some coffee, you bring me some coffee, If I tell you to hold my golden staff while I take a shit, you better do so and if I tell you to not get anywhere near those slutty cunts, you better do!"

He painfully clenched your cheeks between his thumb and index finger. You stared at him wide-eyed, trying to pry his hand off you.

"Did I make myself clear or do I have to repeat?"

It was the first time you had ever felt afraid of him. With his smirk twisted into a sadistic grin and his green glowing eyes staring down at you, there was no trace of your sweet boyfriend. The intensity of his glare was too much for you to handle

With panic growing inside your chest, you yelled at him. "Let me go! NOW!"

"As you wish." Mammon released you at once, making you fall down to the floor.

You rubbed your behind and looked up at him. Tears started to well in your eyes. His words and the way he treated you, shocked you.

Mammon huffed offended and frowned. "Tsk! Come on! Now that didn't hurt."

"You... You can't treat me like this! You are my boyfriend, remember? You can´t treat me like some sort of...like.." you stuttered, holding back your tears. What hurt the most the disinterested look he gave you. How he dismissed your feelings. Somehow it scared you even more that he didn't even give a shit of the effect he had on you right now.

"Now listen here, cunt! I can do whatever I want and with whoever I want! What do you think? That you have some kind of power over me? is that what you´re thinking? Is that what gets you off?? Hah! is that why you spend your fucking breaks with these other vermin instead of coming to my office? Oh yeah! You must feel so fucking powerful making ol´ Mammon pissed-"

"THAT IS NOT TRUE! THAT IS NOT TRUE!" You shouted, tears still streaming down your cheeks. You were disturbed of the absolute paranoia, the things he told himself, the way he thought about you. It was like someone put a knife in your heart and stirred it.

"LIKE I GIVE A BLOODY SHIT OF WHAT YOU THINK!! YOU THINK YOU CAN DO ANYTHING NOW, DONTCHA?! THAT YOU ARE BETTER THAN ME? THAT YOU CAN DO WITH ME WHATEVER YA WANT JUST BECAUSE WE SHARE A BED AND YOU SUCK MY DICK?? BUT GUESS WHAT! I CAN DO WHAT I WANT AND YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT SHOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU GOT!!"

Your heart almost stopped hearing insult after insult. He was out of his mind. You couldn't even comprehend what he was saying. What is happening here?! How did things escalate so quickly??

"Okay... I am going home.. and you.. you.. calm down." You tried so hard to sound steady but failed miserably. Your sobbing kept on interrupting. "W-We talk.. tomorrow."

With that, you turned around and left. You didn't even try to hide your pathetic crying.

Top Surgery Diary: Day 1

My dad mentioned that I should write about my experience with top surgery & that it might help other people, so I decided I'd do a little diary on here. It's going to get long. I'm chronically ill with pain & fatigue, and here's my overall top surgery experience:

I had it done yesterday, on the 20th, and at the last second decided to opt in for nipple grafts after seeing my surgeons results. I know personally I would look online, at google images, and see results i really did not like the look of, and so I decided I would never choose nipple grafts. After seeing the results from my surgeon specifically, I changed my mind. The point of me telling you this is to always always always look for results from YOUR surgeon before making up your mind about anything.

When I went in, I got changed into the surgical gown & the surgeon came in and marked up my chest. After that I had an IV put in. My anesthesia team came in and introduced themselves one by one, and then my dad was allowed back & picked up all of my belongings. Then the anesthesia team gave me a relaxer, my father left, and I literally do not remember anything else after that point, until waking up in the recovery center.

When I was just waking up in the recovery center, my pain was around an 8 out of 10. Personally, I believe this is because my mental walls weren't really up yet, as the more and more I became conscious the better it got. I'd say it's now like a 3-4. Dull ache. Sometimes the incisions have a burning or tingling sensation, maybe around a 7/10 on the pain scale for me. It usually only happens when I've moved "wrong" (I'm still trying to figure out my limitations, of course.)

It's important to note that the effects of anesthesia last longer than you think. After I went home, I basically slept all day and woke up only to pee or eat or take medicine. The anesthesia made it really hard to open my eyes after waking up, as if there was gunk behind my eyelids. I had the urge to pee a lot, even though not a lot would come out, but my dad said that was normal after an IV. Also, people say that your throat hurts due to the breathing tube they have to put in when you're under. When I first woke up, it didn't hurt at all - the pain gradually got worse through the day though. I'm glad I had cough drops on hand.

The emotional side of things can be rough. I woke up once extremely frustrated by how packed up I was - post op binder squeezing me, hoodie on top of that, and a mastectomy pillow on top of that. I had to sit in the bathroom with the hoodie off (hiding from my cat) and just try to breathe and calm down. It did pass and I went back to sleep.

At one point, the tightness of my chest and the post-op binder and all of the emotions going on was extremely overwhelming. I had a good cry, drank a milkshake, and laid down and just tried to breathe again. You'll never expect how good breathing feels - i know a lot of trans men get used to breathing from their stomachs as to not mess up binding. Breathing with my chest feels so nice, it doesn't feel bad on the incisions, it doesn't feel like a burn or a stretch. It almost makes the pain subside a bit. Focusing on breathing is a big one I'll recommend to anyone during recovery.

Honestly, it doesn't really feel real that I've had top surgery yet. I don't get to remove the post op binder until the 28th, so I haven't seen the results at all. I keep feeling like my boobs are just under the binder, waiting to pop out and surprise me, and because of that I don't want to get my hopes up. It's definitely weird.

I will add that, with emotions all over the place and having not actually seen the results yet, I've felt a lot of regret about getting the surgery (but I don't actually regret it, I am just in pain with a lot of weird sensations and "nothing" to show for it. I assume that this "regret" of mine is actually just frustration & pain wearing a mask)

I've not had any difficulties sitting up from a laying position, but wiping after using the bathroom has been surprisingly hard. Thankfully I bought an extended reach wiping tool, though I only really need to use it for a #2. I have a lot more mobility in my arms than I expected to have, but again, I'm still trying to find my limits.

My biggest worry was the drains. I am a very feel-based and texture-based person, so I was super concerned how it would feel to have tubes inside of me and sticking out - but so far, I literally cannot feel it at all. It's honestly kind of wicked cool to see the drains in action, but then again, I am not a squeamish person.

I did have a weird moment when I was sort of half awake, where I had some phantom-boob sensations. It was strange, but not upsetting or unnerving. It's only happened the once so far.

And that's my day one experience with top surgery. I'll keep this updated as I feel the need to. I'm happy to answer any questions as well

Still remembering the first time I wrote a drabble for you. Like seriously, I wanted to make it a quick one? Like may 500 words or so. But then I kept writing and writing since I was having tons of fun! I just couldn't help myself. Will apologize for subjecting you to 1.5k worded fics. It's simply always so fun to write for you! That's why I do it. Not out of some obligation or anything (my writing turns out pretty bad if I force myself actually). ALSO IT'S BC YOU DESERVE THE DRABBLES. NO ARGUING.

The funny thing is that I'm mainly more sweet and loving towards Soshiro and Ace. But the slight sass and temper come out more towards him. He's the type of guy that I'd bite if he started annoying me. Our relationship is mainly bickering and annoying the hell of each other. Ofc, I still love him but y'know how it is! And I always love your interaction to my posts about him hehe

JUST READ YOUR FUNKY (/POS) BIO AND YOU LIKE GOTHIC LIT TOO?????? YAAYSYAYDUAUAYAYAYSYYAYAYAYY

YESSS!!! i haven’t read any gothic lit in a WHILE (last one was the strange case of dr jekyll and mr hyde which i loved and still have brainrot for), but i DID recently read a really good book that was somewhat based on the style of gothic literature!!! it’s called Our Wives Under the Sea and god it is so good. sorry this is gonna be a rant so i’m gonna try to tell you about it without spoilers

reasons you should read it:

1. it starts in the middle and there’s a lot of mystery regarding everything, so if you like a story where you sort of have to figure things out or theorize it’s great.

2. time jumps a lot, mainly reminiscing. It makes for a really interesting development because you see what the two main characters were like before the incident.

3. dark theming with a pinch of what may or may not be considered surrealist or eldritch horror.

4. if you like junji ito, you’ll really love it. it’s like something straight out of one of his books.

5. BODY HORROR. SO MUCH BODY HORROR

6. religious theming and imagery (not the main focus but still very cool)

7. it’s queer! it centers around the relationship of two lesbian women trying to work through each other’s trauma.

8. amazing characters

9. some parts are really unintentionally funny. like really funny. not any of the horror aspects obviously but some other stuff

10. it follows a dual perspective setup.

11. it has a sketchy corporation so i mean that’s always fun.

reasons you may not like it:

1. slow pacing. mainly focuses on the memories of the two characters.

2. bittersweet ending leaning more towards sad.

3. not every question is answered.

4. has very mild mentions of nsfw, they typically don’t last longer than half a page and aren’t detailed.

5. goes heavy on the gore when you hit a certain point

6. has upsetting topics such as suicide, religious hallucinations and guilt, death, animal death, terminal illness, schizophrenia, drowning, extreme isolation, body horror, loss of flesh(?), and i think that’s all.

I would totally recommend it, it’s incredible even if at some points i wasn’t fully engaged. the body horror is delicious if you like that stuff. i actually picked it out because it reminded me of my friend’s (ray) ocs (grenadier and amitie)

**i’m not an expert on this area, i just loosely describe and relate the characters based on what i know

**blood, guts, gore, and horror in general ahead, the illustrations are also not mine

• Kitty - diwata or boringkantada or a duwende

can’t decide which works best for kitty: a filipino nymph, a beautiful supernatural woman or a playful hobgoblin.

diwata is umbrella term for beautiful goddesses, and the most popular ones are dayang makiling, mariang sinukuan, and maria cacao. i think kitty would be mariang sinukuan— a kind and generous goddess who stopped bringing fruits and harvests to humans when they became unsatisfied and greedy.

a boringkantada is definitely not boring: it possesses beauty both physically and in its voice. when someone is lured by its singing, it instinctively assumes the person is about to rob the treasures it guards and viscously attacks them.

the hobgoblin that loves to play, a duwende has the tendency to be extremely jealous and may either shower gifts to the ones they like and play tricks on the ones they don’t.

*i also see pat as a duwende, and i’ll elaborate that on the next parts.

• Fanny - white lady or a dalikamata

i mean, she’s already a grey lady so this one’s not far-fetched. basically, a white lady is a ghost dressed in a white dress, particularly an urban legend that resides in a Balete tree in Quezon City, Manila. it is also known as the Weeping Woman or the Wronged Woman in other beliefs.

alternatively, i also think she would be a dalikamata— a Visayan goddess with many eyes that can see the past, present and the future. i relate the all-seeing, all-knowing attribute to fanny’s nosy attitude.

• Mary - albularyo

derived from the spanish term herbolario, these folk or witch doctors are either believed to have supernatural abilities to cure illness better than modern medicine or hated for being a pseudoscience and/or a witch. screams mary to me. She knows every herb and ointment, can track the roots of what caused the sickness, but also has the capability to harm those who wronged her. ultimately, she does her best to help others.

• Annie - mangkukulam

rip annie you would’ve loved putting curses on men. she would’ve been a powerful witch. there are many other terms for filipino witches according to respective regions, but we call them mangkukulam in our area. plus, these witches believe that their spells do not work on the innocent, their targets often being thieves and colonizers.

side note: i actually have this oc from a story i once tried to write wherein the albularyo and mangkukulam are girlfriends because of the contradicting capabilities, and the idiots themselves told me mary and annie were gay.

• Pat - nuno sa punso or a duwende

a nuno sa punso is a dwarf goblin that will harm you if you anger it by kicking its house (an anthill) and/or pissing on it. if modern medicine cannot cure you in any way and you have disrespected him, you may need to ask for his forgiveness or seek help from the albularyo. “tabi-tabi po” or “excuse me please” is a phrase you say to show respect to beings like this.

my first reason for nuno!pat was because of his height. but it is also depicted as a tiny, angry grandpa and a protector of the earth— which reminds me of pat.

on the other hand, the duwende is a hobgoblin that likes playing with children because of its natural playful attitude. this one’s not that easily angered unlike the nuno sa punso, but can still hurt those it doesn’t like.

• Captain - kapre

the way i giggled when i thought of cap being a CAPre. kapre cap,,, i feel like the funniest person alive. the photo makes it funnier— just some local kapre with glasses with a tree behind it

a kapre is a cigar-smoking, tree-dweller. traditionally, it presents itself as a hairy, muscular, and tall guardian/protector of the land that can also shapeshift into a beautiful man to invite people to follow them (especially in the woods). hence, it can make you run around in circles as you forget memories of your life.

side note: thomas can also be a kapre because if a kapre likes you, it will follow and protect you from your enemies for life. a former filipino president (emilio aguinaldo) is believed to have outlived his enemies because he had a kapre amulet.

• Humphrey - manananggal or pugot

a manananggal is a self-segmenting vampire. its upper torso has wings that help it fly and hunt humans (particularly pregnant women and their babies), while its lower torso stays behind. there is a belief that you can actually kill it by finding its lower torso and putting salt or crushed garlic in it in order to prevent it from uniting with its upper torso. i’m thinking about this image of humphrey’s head having wings attached behind him, and his tudor outfit already spells out vampire to me.

or if we’re gonna be canon compliant, humphrey is already a version of a pugot— a headless creature from the ifugao. but i’m putting this on a maybe part because there are many versions of the pugot: some believe it is a version of the kapre, some believe it is a shapeshifting ghoul.

• Robin - aswang or sigbin or bungisngis

aswang is a broad, umbrella term for all cannibal shapeshifters. they appear as normal humans by day, and various human-animal hybrids by night.

i also see robin as a sigbin. both are seen as dog-like creatures that eat fresh, bloody, and raw meat. some believe that you can keep a sigbin as a pet that will protect you and even let you hop in on its back— but once you let it starve, it will always be a creature of the night that can eat you and your entire family.

robin would also make a good bungisngis because it is a cannibal one-eyed cyclops. its name directly translates to “one who giggles a lot”, which is why it is known for laughing and playing tricks. ironically, it is dumb enough to be tricked.

• Julian - bakunawa or engkanto

the bakunawa is a dragon serpent notably known for allegedly eating the earth’s seven moons. i’d like to think of that as a parallel to a politician like julian being enamored by the shiny power and wealth.

and because of julian’s charms, he would also be an engkanto— environmental spirits that presents to be good-looking and formerly known as a protector of the people but may also tend to be deceiving (much like of a politician).

• Thomas - tikbalang

this one’s peer-reviewed by a friend so i’m more than confident about thomas being a tikbalang. it appears to be a half-human half-horse creature known to lead travelers astray as they live in the mountains. it is known to be mischievous when it play tricks on humans (a tribute i might also relate to julian or robin), so make sure to wear your shirt inside out or stay quiet while in the woods to not disturb it.

unrelated but fun fact: if it’s raining, we have this belief that a tikbalang is getting married. (this phrase is potentially from the spanish when they believed that a witch is getting married when there’s rain on a sunny day)
