Some Custom magic cards i made based of the characters in season 1 of arcane since the show has filled my mind entirely.

Here's another alter I cranked out. Needed a bit more shooping than the other one, but turned out nice. Obviously, Maraleaf Pixie doesn't have an Adventure, so I repurposed that space for the flavor text. I think it worked pretty well.

Artist credit is unknown, as the only sources that showed up on reverse image search were Pinterest. If anyone knows it, lmk. likely to be AI :(

It only took 4 different decks, about 8 losses, milling my entire library (except for two cards) and returning every creature to the battlefield, but I did it. Princess Twilight Sparkle made everypony win.

Okay... further rambling about the syscourse stances of characters, let me just go back to the Jace Beleren thing.

Because Jace is... a literal mind reader.

That's a complete game changer in terms of headcanons that you REALLY need to account for. I mean, if a telepath met us in person, they would literally hear multiple voices conversing in our thoughts, each with their own "tones". That seems... really hard to deny.

I don't see a mind reader being even sysmed-leaning if they ever so much as met an endogenic systems. And if they hadn't met one... where are they getting their information?

I don't think most of the Planes in Magic: The Gathering's multiverse have "psychiatry" in the way we do. If anything, I think worlds in that multiverse that had a concept of multiplicity would primarily have "sysmags" who believed all multiplicity came from magic. Especially since many worlds do have possession states by literal spirits, and shifting personality states from curses and the like.

So does this scenario assume Jace Planeswalks to Earth and hears about it on Earth's internet without ever meeting an endogenic system in person so he could hear their thoughts?

I'm so glad they changed Gale's design on the finished game, cause the first one was awful; but the old design still appears on the Magic The Gathering TCG cards and they're so ugly 😭😭😭😭

Ahh, welcome to my humble grounds! If you're a Planeswalker or a fellow fan of the TCG game Magic: The Gathering, welcome!

My name's Dylan, or @dbarenzu626 if you know me from my main blog: Canadian artist, writer and hobbyist. And more recently, MTG player, specifically in the Commander format. I got started this year thanks to one of my cousins, which then spurred me to pick up my first Commander precon in the form of Timey-Wimey from a Wal-Mart. Since then? I have grown my arsenal of decks far beyond, even considering decklists I have in progress ATM.

I love this card game dearly, at a time when my life was entering a strange period, Commander came in and became a bastion of fun for me, whether it have been looking into what cards to build for or even what to add to the 99 of a deck or coming to a table with a new deck ready to just play and enjoy, it's been nothing short of refreshing.

It's worth noting that I'm no TCG newbie either, my first TCGs were Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! back in the day and currently in this day and age, I stuck to Disney Lorcana and Digimon before converging into MTG Commander. To say I always loved collecting cardboard would be an understatement and that obsession has helped me in my deckbuilding!

So why start this blog? To chronicle my adventures with this game, of course!

As this blog starts up, I wanna share what to expect from my cardboard hideaway! So here we go:

Decklists! I wanna share some of my decklists of Commander decks I've built or are currently in the process of building. These decklists may range from being janky to average to even higher power level, but ultimately, I make some of these just to have fun with flavour and build decks I love in the end. Decklists will be talked about with strategies and experiences and I will be sharing lists via Moxfield or ManaBox, to be decided.

Interactions/battles I've had within Commander! The archetype always welcomes new friends and new playstyles and something I love, win or lose, is just the unique energy everyone brings to their deck projects or to battles. It makes my own deckbuilding feel more fruitful and by all means, I wanna talk about experiences like that.

New product unboxings and/or pack results! With Magic, the idea of always getting new cards and/or projects is going to be a reality. So discounting bulk and singles I'm buying, I wanna post about new products I pick up too, whether they be bundles or boxes or even Secret Lair drops and the results that come from them. Sets like Final Fantasy and Spider-Man next year more than invite this for me (these are sets I'm going all in on) and I know with the other original sets like Aetherdrift and Edges of Eternities that I may partake in a few packs or even a Commander deck. Heck, I may even have a few Secret Lairs coming my way already I wanna talk about...

Potentially, a "Card of the Day" feature! It may or may not be daily as I don't think I personally have the capacity to keep up with daily posts, but with so many cards in this game, I'd love to feature some of my favourites, be them for art or for treatments or even for powerhouse abilities. And yes, I may do this at length like with the decklists too, I like talking about certain things or combos you could pull off with a card.

Lastly, questions! These'll be open always, so if you wanna swing a question for me, whether it's a card you want my opinion of or a decklist I'm currently building for or a favourite card treatment or set? You can feel more than free to fire away, this is something I will always respond to (within reason, I probably won't be responding to any hateful comments, be them directed at how I build decks or at my choice of cards regardless of normal or even the hot topic of Universes Beyond sets. Ask and ye may receive!

I still think it's hilarious the people that invested into crypto trading card games. I'm talking thousands of dollars when that first became a semi popular idea. There were a couple I remember considering investing into like 50 bucks worth of cards. But there were people that invested tens of thousands of dollars, because you could, because it was kind of a scam. Like they clearly didn't have long term plans set.

Anyways, I don't know what it is about crypto bros and their exclusively bad ideas because of like a bunch of different factors. Because if they had just taken all that money and invested into a card game that is already established and has long term goals for their future business, they could be sitting on a massive profit. Not that i would ever condone investing into magic the gathering cards. Ever. This is not financial advice, I am not a financial advisor of any kind.

I think a lot about cards I couldn't afford as a kid because they were hundreds of dollars. Now I still can't afford those cards because they're thousands of dollars.

So basically yeah magic the gathering prices keep going up and up and up forever and crypto bros still had to take the bait for something ridiculously stupid. Hilarious.

Worked pretty long on this one. I wanted a cool art for my Commander, Volo from the DnD crossover with Magic, and making a death card seemed like an awesome idea!

Made a card back to go with it as well. Took inspiration from both game's card backs for design. Planning on getting this printed out in card stock to use as the commander. What y'all think?

It is kind of silly for me to post on tumblr, but I like this platform.

Wish cards are highly debated in the mtg community. Some say they drastically change the game and are way too flexible. And that is true! But on the other hand, they bring way more variation into a game! It's also a last resort. You could put something in your deck that is way more suited for your synergy as well.
