I watched the newest magic mixies episode yesterday whilst editing (new vid tmr btw), and omg I was already toying with the idea of rewriting the show but now ITS A PHYSICAL FUCKING NEED BECAUSE THE IDEAS OF HOWLEXA & TIGGZ ARE SO INTERESTING AND COOL BUT THEY'RE INTRODUCED SO LATE TO THE POINT WHERE IT DOES NOT MATTER (I don't want to spoil the ep because you should watch it but omg I absolutely gonna rewrite this because the CONCEPTS ARE COOL AS FUCK)

Really taking a closer look at Phoenix, she seems to have shiny gold legs and a red skirt that splits in the front. Her forehead gem is maybe egg-shaped? To represent the phoenix's rebirth? Her hair is pinkish-red and gold at the ends, and I may be looking too close but the texture of the hair really looks like microbraids to me. The head bobbles are throwing me off, it's hard to tell what they're meant to be. It looks like they might anchor into the head the same way Amber's head scale things did.

Interesting to note as well that she's the one shown in the example potion reveal image on the bottle. In the past it was always Unia, as she was the one in the center of the character art, and for Flitta and Wynter as solo releases it's just their own art. So it's something to note that Phoenix is the example here, despite being to the side on the main art. It does mean we see the color of her bottle twister that distinguishes her, since we have stock photos of the other three that show them.

Howlexa's magical display bottle!

Since the Magic Mixies Pixlings bottles are actually intended to become crafting display pieces, I've dug out my crafting supplies to start making use of these sturdy, beautifully engineered toys.

Battery operated string lights from Dollar Tree. I removed the colorful light covers so that I could have points of white light.

I cut a piece of stellar printed fabric to fit inside the larger bottle. I cut one for the inner bottle, too. (I did both so I can display it either with or without the doll.) I did not bother to finish any edges, I simply cut them clean.

Then I sewed a simple casing and inserted a chenille strip into it.

The whole thing gets placed inside the bottle, and the chenille strip gets connected to form a ring. I taped the strip in place.

By the way, the springy bottom part of the inner bottle (on the Shimmerverse bottles) comes right off! If I'd bothered to read the actual instructions, I would have discovered this before I attempted to remove the screw. Lol.

I turned on the lights, and set the battery pack into the bottom of the bottle.

I cut a piece of a purple mailer envelope into the oval shape of the bottom of the bottle. This provided a platform to cover the battery pack, and to provide a flat surface for the doll to stand the doll onto.

I experimented with putting the lights on the inside, trying to get them to settle between the two bottles (too fussy for me; it probably could be done if one were to stick the lights to the inside surface first.)

For the final display, I have her standing in the larger bottle with the small inner bottle set aside. I've actually snapped the bouncy bottom back into it for safe keeping.

I'm planning one with a mushroom theme next. I own two different Bluetooth speakers that are mushroom shaped, so I may incorporate those into a different one.

At least one of these bottles will become my tip jar for my Fairy Godmother performances, too. I'm planning to use stickers on the outside for that purpose, and I might weigh down the bottom with colorful marbles.
