Magia Chap. 8- I'm Done With You
T/W Blood WARNING!!! Not a lot, but still...
Next chapter is here! I cried writing this chapter, and you'll see why!
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader.
Enjoy!
In the early morning hours, before the founders came in and continued building the place, Winnie was walking towards what would be the arcade section of the facility.
Once he entered, Litho was waiting for him. “So, what have you found out?” He asked.
“A lot.” Winnie answered.
Litho turned glaring at the pegasus animatronic with his many eyes. “Explain?”
Winnie smirked, “Well let’s start with your lovely partner Sara. I’m sure telling you her powers won’t be a waste of time.” He explained.
Litho growled, “I don’t have time for your jokes, Carlos!” He spat.
“Oh I’m not joking.” Winnie chuckled. “Our little Sara’s powers are time-related.”
Litho’s eyes widened, “how do you know that’s her powers?”
“Well, after you told me to go after Eric, Sara followed him to Lewis’s house which I burnt.” Winnie started. “I had a choice to leave Sara to die because her actions were a betrayal, but suddenly the whole house was frozen in this pink aura, and Sara and Eric came out alive.”
While explaining, Litho glared, growling as he remembered someone from his past. In his memories, he remembered a young girl wielding a pink gemstone and was able to use the time powers from it to protect herself from him.
“I should’ve known it was her,” Litho growled.
Winnie blinked, “O-Oh you knew?” He asked.
“In a way, yes,” Litho replied. “Sara reminded me of an…old adversary in the past. I just thought it was a coincidence, but you know the saying "An apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” He snickered, running his claws on the wall, almost scratching it. “Maybe I’ll pay our little “friend” a visit when she arrives with her little termites.”
A bit later, Sara and her friends came by and decided they would go back to where they started before she made her deal with Litho and Winnie. This time Wiatt offered to help out, when it was usually Eric.
“Eric’s not coming today?” Sara asked.
Lewis shook his head, “he’s still shocked he was able to heal so quickly. To make sure, he and Carly will be staying home.” He explained.
Sara sighed, “That’s good.” She looked at her best friend, and wanted to bring up last night.
After telling Lewis what she saw, the founder couldn’t explain why she saw two different people, one who looked like him. The only theory that came to his mind was maybe Sara could unlock secrets of the gems and jewelry box from time to time.
Though Lewis wished his best friend’s powers would’ve shown her what powers he had. So far his powers haven’t activated yet, which disappointed him.
Sara sensed her friend was still disappointed his powers hadn’t come through yet. “Your powers haven't been activated yet?” She asked.
Lewis shook his hand, “I’m more concerned if my powers would be helpful like yours or if it would harm others like Oliver’s.” He explained.
Sara warped her arm around her best friend, “Hey, don’t worry darling.” She joked. “Your powers will activate somehow.”
“Hey.” Lewis groaned, seeing his best friend use his phrase on him. He removed himself from Sara’s hold and gave her a light push, which made her laugh. “I’m surprised you're taking this rather well, yesterday you complained about all this magical power nonsense.”
“Well,” Sara sighed, “my power is why Eric’s alive in the first place.”
Lewis smiled, happy to see his best friend back to her old self.
Oliver came in with Wiatt, who was now wearing one of the many uniforms for Dreamworld. This was his mechanic uniform, a blue and yellow vest themed after the Starlight animatronic over a white shirt, he also wore a pair of dark blue pants as well as a blue hat with an orange bill on top of his head.
“Well, what do you two think?” Wiatt asked.
“I-I figured, Wiatt would make a great mechanic for Dreamworld. We need the extra hands.” Oliver explained.
“Plus, I’ve helped my dad fix arcade cabinets, so I have the skills needed,” Wiatt added.
Lewis smiled and hugged his boyfriend tight. “Your uniform looks amazing on you darling.” He commented, blushing.
Wiatt blushed, giving a nervous chuckle, “Thanks.” He replied. “Although do you need a different uniform for every attraction at Dreamworld? It seems a bit much.”
“Don’t ask me!” Lewis exclaimed. “Sara thought it was a good idea, and we stuck with it.”
“I should add it was my-“ Sara was about to say a bright idea, but Lewis glared at her knowing what she was about to say. “G-Greatest idea ever.” She corrected herself giving a sheepish smile.
Lewis smiled seeing she avoided making the pun.
“Still, I could see just one uniform and maybe a button or pin that would show where people work,” Wiatt commented.
As Wiatt explained, Sara spotted Winnie spying on her and her friends in the distance before leaving. She glared and decided to ignore the Pegasus animatronic for now.
“Uh, Sara?” Oliver spoke up. Sara turned to her friends, who looked nervous seeing her glare.
“Oh sorry.” She apologized.
“Is everything alright?” Oliver asked.
Sara nodded, “Yeah. Just getting used to ignoring him.”
Lewis put his hand on her shoulder and gave a comforting no smile. “It’s going to be a long process, darling.” He started. “But we’re willing to help you along the way.”
“Thanks,” Sara replied, smiling.
~~~~~~~
Lewis decided it would be best to continue Wiatt’s tour around Dreamworld since it was interrupted due to the whole incident.
In her office, Sara decided to research Wiatt's jewelry box. Sadly her research led to nothing except photos of random jewelry boxes. During her research, Winnie would try and call her, but she ignored them and continued her research.
Soon, she heard her door open and later slam. Sara gasped and looked up, but didn’t see anyone there. She kept on working at her computer, till the lights flickered and soon Litho appeared behind her.
“Sara,” Litho growled.
Sara gasped and got out of her chair, fearful of the demon in front of her. She stepped back as Litho went towards her, cornering her to the wall.
“You TRAITOR!” Litho yelled, growling as he tried to attack her by using his puppet strings.
Sara screamed and dodged the strings. She ran straight for the door only for Litho to use his strings again and grab Sara arm before throwing her against the wall. Pain rushed through her body, as she slowly got up.
“I thought THIS is what you wanted you incompetent fool!” Litho yelled, making his way towards her.
Sara slowly backed towards the wall. She couldn’t escape, and even if she tried Litho’s puppet strings would just pull her back or worse.
“I’ve seen you kill before, I thought you’d be the perfect pawn in my plans!” Litho yelled.
“I’ve done enough!” Sara yelled back. “I wasn’t going to have Winnie kill the ones I love and care about behind my back! I’m done! I have enough blood on my hands already!”
Litho chuckled and glared, “You signed my contract and agreed to help me.” He stopped as he leaned in on Sara, who sunk back down, “humanity is cruel, dear Sara. You’ve seen it yourself, kids picking on you, hurting you for what?” He started.
Sara whimpered as the memories of her being bullied and hurt played in her head. She remembered three bullies in particular who took their bullying to the next level, really crushing her.
“Your wealth!” Litho finished, his eyes glowing red.
The memory of that fateful day in the woods played in her head.
Sara sobbed as she pulled her legs close to her chest, hoping it would protect her. The girl didn’t notice that Litho’s many red eyes were surrounding her.
“What about your friends, that pathetic excuse for a teacher, and even that Nicholson kid.” Litho listed down. “How do you think they’ll feel if they know?”
At that point, Sara realized Litho was trying to break her down into pieces. Like he did when they first met, and she accepted the deal. Sara looked up and glared, “I’ve told Lewis and Eric my past! They accepted it!” She exclaimed.
Litho laughed, “You think they accepted it?! Really!?” He asked. “How can you keep this from your best friend for years and he forgives and understands you?”
“That’s how Lewis is!” Sara exclaimed.
“But didn’t he try to end your friendship with you?”
“Only because of you and Winnie! I’ve been locked up in my office for hours and you kept me from talking with them!”
Litho glared as more eyes surrounded the woman. Sara saw she was surrounded as the demon chuckled. “What if he regrets his decision?” Litho asked.
Sara’s eyes widened, “what are you talking about?” She asked.
“I mean, does he really forgive you?” Litho asked. “What if he only forgives you out of pity?”
“I’ve known him since middle school, he’s helped me out more than you or Winnie did!”
“You would say Lewis is a nice man. However, he could be saying what he truly feels about this to the Nicholson kid and the Acrimony boy.” Litho explained.
Sara gasped, her eyes turning a dull pink for a moment.
Litho smirked seeing he got his puppet right where he wanted her.
Sara’s eyes widened as she imagined that scenario in her head. Lewis tells Wiatt and Oliver about her past, even though he promised her he wouldn’t tell. The boys hear about this and confront Sara calling her a monster or the worst person ever, and Lewis agrees to it.
The thought of Lewis lying to her just to make her feel better mocked her. Her eyes turned a dull pink at the thought of it. Sara shook it off pushing the thought away, which made her eyes back to normal.
“I don’t believe you,” Sara whispered.
“What?” Litho asked.
“I don’t believe you!” Sara growled. “I’m not listening to what you have to say, I’m moving on from this Frankenstein bullshit you're trying to pull!”
At first, Litho was shocked, but he let out a chuckle before laughing maniacally. Sara was frightened and confused as she saw the many eyes of Litho disappear.
“Oh, so that’s the game you wanna play?” Litho asked. “No matter, I guess it’s my turn to make my move. I got Winnie setting up a little…gift for a certain shy and pathetic boy.”
Sara’s eyes widened realizing Litho meant Oliver.
“That’s right. I should’ve brought that up.” Litho started, “Winnie told me about your powers, and I just so happened to be there the day that horrible girl and her pests used those against me.”
Sara was shocked to hear Litho had knowledge of the jewelry box. “You know about it?” She asked.
“Of course! I’ve been around since the day that girl created that box to destroy me! However, it turned me into THIS!” He growled as many of Litho’s eyes covered Sara’s office.
Sara shivered, but she knew Litho was talking about Clara.
Litho’s many eyes disappeared as he let out a sigh. “But back to your pathetic friend.” He started, “Winnie told me about your powers, and has been keeping an eye on you since. So he mentioned closets and I just so happened to send your little friend to go there.”
Sara’s eyes widened as what she saw from her powers played in her head. The sickening crunch of the tv falling on Oliver’s head echoed in her ears.
“N-No.” Sara whimpered. Oliver was in danger, if what she saw was going to happen she had to stop it. “Oliver!” She tried to leave, but Litho’s puppet strings grabbed her hand and threw her to the wall, harshly. Sara yelped in pain, and struggled to get up only for Litho to pin her to the wall with his claws. She screamed as Litho’s claws started to pierce her skin, feeling blood starting to trickle down her arm.
“Oh Sara, you're cornered again,” Litho spoke. Sara was breathing heavily as her eyes flashed from brown to pink. “This time you can’t push me away,” the demon lifted his hand, targeting Sara’s heart, “and you can’t run.” Litho’s puppet strings went to Sara’s heart where her soul was located.
Sara struggled and screamed in pain, but soon her body glowed a pink aura, which made Litho scream in pain as a pink pulse pushed him back stunning him.
The female founder felt pain in her chest, as she held it almost like she was pushing her soul back in. At that point, her eyes glowed a bright pink as she was sent through time again.
Sara saw what appeared to be a wasteland. She couldn’t tell if this was the past or the future, but froze as she saw two silhouettes at the entrance at what appears to be a gateway.
“Ed! Don’t do this!” A younger boy yelled.
Sara’s eyes widened as it dawned on her. When she was touched she saw the person’s future or past. Because Litho attacked her she wondered if one of those boys was Litho before turning into a demon.
Ed, or Edmund, as that was his full name, chuckled, as he put his hand on the switch to activate the portal, “Sorry brother, but I need to gather more souls, think about it! I can change the world! We can change the world” He yelled.
“How is killing people and using their souls going to change the world?!” Edmund’s brother shouted.
Sara gulped, getting her answer, that Ed was Litho in the past. She continued to watch, taking one step closer to the two.
Edmund’s brother growled seeing he wasn’t getting through to his brother, he tackled him, preventing him from opening the gateway. The two pushed, punched, and shoved one another, but during the struggle, the gateway turned on as a red glow appeared from it. It started to suck the two brothers in, even Sara felt like she was being pulled in as she grabbed onto something as she continued to watch.
Edmund’s brother was about to be sucked into the portal, but he held on to the edge of it. “E-Edmund!” He yelled. “Brother help me!”
Edmund showed no emotion as his brother cried for help. He slowly walked over to him and held his hand, before grabbing it tightly. “I’m sorry Agnus. I thought we were a team. I guess I was wrong.” Edmund whispered.
Sara and Agnus watched in horror as Edmund/Litho spoke, “If you won’t help me. I’ll find someone who will carry out my plans, and if they don’t.” Edmund paused as he pushed his own brother into the portal to who knows where before following after him.
Sara watched in horror, realizing Eric was right! She was just a puppet in Litho’s plans. That there were people before her and Winnie killing innocent people to harvest souls for Litho. She was still horrified as she awoke from her time visions.
Sara gasped as she saw Litho struggling to get up, he was still stunned by whatever Sara just did. She got up and quickly escaped her office and ran, hoping to grab Lewis and the others before Litho or Winnie did.
“SARA! You can’t escape me! SARA!” Litho’s voice echoed out.
She didn’t look back, she kept on running and hoping to find her friends soon.
Meanwhile, Oliver got a message from “Sara” about grabbing something from the storage closet. He was confused as to why, even though Sara warned him not to go into one. She claimed she left some important files in there accidentally and he just needs to quickly grab them.
Oliver figured it wouldn’t be too much of a problem and went into the closet where the files were located.
Sara quickly ran as fast as she could, opening doors through every closet to find Oliver and calling his name. “Oliver!” Sara yelled, opening the 5th closet. He wasn’t there and she went to the next room, “Oliver!”
She was scared at this point, at this point it would’ve been too late. Sara kept on running till she heard a door open around the corner. Quickly she ran and saw Oliver walk in. “Oliver,” Sara whispered.
Oliver went in and saw the files on the table. He did see a TV above him, but saw part of the bottom was removed. He gulped and brushed it off as nothing. Oliver saw the files on the table and picked one up, not knowing there was a string attached to the TV.
“Oliver!” Sara yelled.
“S-Sara?” Oliver asked, as he held the files, which in turn set up the TV trap.
Sara’s eyes widened in fear, “Oliver, look out!” Sara screamed, running to her friend and pushing him out of the way. The TV fell on Sara’s back with a sickening crunch.
Oliver was pushed towards a nearby cabinet and groaned. He looked up in horror seeing the TV that almost fell on him, fell on his best friend. “S-SARA!” Oliver screamed. The founder went over to his friend, and pushed the TV off her back. Horrified, he saw blood leaking through the female founder’s clothes, what’s worse she wasn’t breathing.
“Sara,” Oliver whispered, shaking her a bit, but she wasn’t moving. He went in to feel a pulse, but nothing. “Sara! Sara!” He yelled, shaking her as much as he could. Tears were coming out of his eyes at this point as he yelled Sara’s name louder and louder.
Oliver’s cries got the attention of Lewis and Wiatt who ran to where he was and they stood in horror seeing the female founder bleeding on the ground.
“O-Oliver! What happened?!” Lewis yelled.
“I-I was called here to find files, Sara came and pushed me, she was trying to protect me from the TV, and it fell on her.” Oliver cried.
Lewis looked down at his friend and kneeled down, shaking her. “Darling.” He said, but no response. “Sara! Wake up!” He yelled, yet still there was no response. Now, Lewis started to cry too, not noticing his hand was glowing blue. He just made up with his best friend, and now he was going to lose her. “Sara! Wake up!” Upon yelling, Lewis’s eyes glowed blue as ripples of the same color went through Sara’s body.
Oliver and Wiatt stared at the founder seeing his powers activate. “Y-Your powers,” Wiatt whispered.
Lewis looked down seeing the blue ripples going through his best friend’s body. The boys watched in worry not knowing what Lewis’s power was, and if this was harmful to Sara.
Soon the ripples disappeared, and Sara let out a groan before slowly opening her eyes. Upon doing so, she saw Lewis’s eyes glowing blue. “L-Lewis?” She asked, groggily.
Lewis and Oliver gasped seeing Sara was alright. “Sara!” Lewis exclaimed.
Sara groaned as she slowly sat up. Surprisingly for a TV hitting her in the back, she felt no pain. “W-What happened?” She asked.
Soon she was tackled and hugged by Lewis and Oliver. Sara was confused seeing her two friends cry and hug her as tight as they did, before seeing Oliver was okay, and without a TV on his head.
“You're alright. You're alright.” Oliver cried hugging his friend close.
Sara felt tears in her eyes seeing she saved someone with her powers, again. She hugged her two friends close to her, “I’m glad you're alright too.” She whispered.
“You should thank Lewis,” Wiatt spoke up, as the trio turned to face the boy. “His powers activated, and it turns out he’s a healer!” He exclaimed.
The Founder Trio let go of their hug. Sara and Oliver looked at their best friend seeing his eyes were still blue before fading away.
Then something clicked in Sara’s mind, if the TV fell on her she’d be in pain or worse by now. To be sure, she faced Lewis and asked, “if you can, could you check my back?” She asked.
Lewis nodded and slowly lifted up the back of her shirt, and was shocked. There was no gash or scar on her back, she was perfectly healed.
“Well?” Sara asked.
“You're fine, darling,” Lewis said. He put her shirt down. He then pulled her into a hug, “You're fine.”
Sara smiled and hugged Lewis back, “thank you, Lewis.”
Oliver didn’t want to feel left out and went to hug his friends back.
Wiatt on the other hand wanted to join in on the hug, but held back. Seeing his boyfriend and his best friends hugging each other close, made him feel hurt. Like a part of him felt jealous, but he also wanted to be part of that hug. This feeling made his eyes glow a dull yellow for a bit.
With all the chaos, Sara realized they were still in the facility and were in danger. “We need to get out of here!” Sara exclaimed.
“W-What?” Wiatt asked, his eyes turning back to normal.
“No time for questions, just run!” Sara then sprinted off with the boys not far behind her.
“D-Darling! May you please tell us what’s going on?!” Lewis asked.
Sara looked back, “I’ll explain once we’re somewhere safe! I promise!” She reminded her friend.
As the four continued to run, they suddenly skidded to a halt seeing the door was blocked with puppet strings; Litho’s Puppet Strings.
“Oh no.” Sara whispered.
“S-Sara what’s going on?” Oliver asked, frightened seeing their only exit was blocked.
Sara turned to her friends, and before she could explain a familiar voice spoke up.
“Well isn’t this a nice reunion!” Litho exclaimed.
The four turned and were in horror seeing Litho and Winnie grinning at them.
Her Flame Burns Despite the Storm
Written for @ectoplasmicsoda @idiot-cheesehead-archenemy and @underforeversgrace for Phic Phight 2024!
Rating: Teen
Words: 11K
Warnings: Major character death, gaslighting, manipulation, violence, horror elements, psych horror elements, references to suicide, discussion of tornadoes and storms, the Fenton's A+ parenting, non linear story telling, spectra being herself.
Finally wrote the Magia AU I've been dreaming of! Please enjoy this story about suffering and wanting a happy ending no matter what.
This story is very Jazz centric and told from Danny's POV for the first half.
Mind the tags on Ao3 please!
The events in this story are not presented in chronological order. Do not worry, do not fret, do not panic. Everything will be explained.
It hurt.
He always knew it would hurt. He didn't realize how much it would until it finally happened.
And it happened when he was still so young– barely a month into his high school career and he was laying on the ground as something truly monstrous shatters Casper High behind him. The wind roars and he feels his eyes burn, tears threatening to fall as he recalls telling his parents he was practically grown just this morning– telling Jazz he wasn’t a baby anymore as she rolled her eyes after giving him one of her ever increasing exhausted glares.
The ground shakes and lights burn in the distance as the monster throws another football goal into a house. He hopes nobody was inside, he hopes other families actually heeded the warning to shelter the news blasted hours ahead of this freak storm-turned-horror.
Danny held his palm to the gaping wound in his side– hissing when contact was made, and wishing the tacky feeling on his hand was anything but blood. If he closed his eyes, he could pretend it was milkshake, or partially dried glue. But he knows closing his eyes isn’t good in a situation like this.
He needs to see where Jazz went.
Took a shot at Morfine’s magical witch. I definitely wanted her to be on all fours cause Yuu kills it. But she can stand on two legs and look horrifying too <3
I didnt feel like colouring but I want her to be bright, ugly and clashing. Her weapon will be acidic spit, I suppose her insides are strong enough to resist it
Ectoberhaunt Day 24- Time Loop
Summary: Jazz came back home after being away for some time, but something feels wrong. Her hair is down and she lost her glasses and seems more serious and sullen. And why does she look so sad when she looks at him?
dp magia au
Ao3 link
Jazz came home.
Danny was excited that he didn't care if his parents would now gush about her achievements to her face instead of just comparing them. He got good marks but not as good so he understands, he missed her, too.
He put on his trusty space themed headband he got once to match her, she helped him pick it out before she left for that exchange program. He was practically vibrating with excitement to see her again. Being an exchange student for so long, he hopes she wasn't lonely like he was. He has Sam and Tucker but it's not the same, they don't live here for starters. He hopes she made friends there, even if she wasn't going to stay.
But now, he's concerned.
She looks different, that can be expected after being away, but why is she so cold?
Like she has been through heartbreak many times and has become numb to it.
She looks like the version of herself from his dream. The one from last night.
What happened?
Who hurt you?
He tries not to think about it too much, for now. He just wants to spend time with her, his big sister.
Mom and dad already went back to the lab, doing who knows what, allowing them to catch up. Danny found a cool space exhibit and wanted to show her! And tell her about all she missed! And maybe she will do the same! And-!
"It's so nice that you're back, Jazz! It's been quiet without you around to drag mom and dad out of the lab. Well, I guess the lab might have been noisy but that doesn't count. Don't worry, when we didn't have much Tucker had me over. But it's mainly been Nasty Burger honestly. It became kind of embarrassing getting food from them all the time when his parents aren't that much more well off. Sam offered, but we both know her parents hate me just for being related to our parents. You know how it is."
Jazz's hands clench into fists. Not the first time this has happened for either of them.
"I mean," Danny continues, wanting to tell someone who'd understand, "They must have been caught up in some project again. They still believe that things like missing person reports to suicide are linked to some supernatural phenomenon making them do it!"
Danny laughs it off for how unbelievable that idea is, trying to get Jazz to join in.
(Maybe she would have long ago.)
Instead, all it did seemed to make her more upset. This was not how he wanted today to go at all.
"But! Now it can just be us for now! You can even tell me all about whatever you did during the exchange program. You must have helped other people quite a lot over there, right? Betcha got some new, nerdy friends, right?" Danny tries to nudge her, giving a smug smile and pulling out all his 'obnoxious younger sibling' energy into it.
That was enough to get a reaction. Though, not the one he was hoping for.
She turns to look Danny dead in his bright, hopeful eyes. Halfway to whatever destination her brother wanted to show her. Bright and enthused and so full of life.
"My dearest brother, do you treasure the life you currently live? Do you consider your family and friends precious?"
"Jazz, what are you talking about," Danny is taken aback. What has gotten into her to make her this cryptic and cold? "Of course I do! You should know this!"
His sister somehow managed to look more serious, "Then don't change who you are. You must stay as you have been or everything will be lost." She sounded so desperate for him to agree.
She then just walked off, as if looking for something.
Something that has caught her ire.
Leaving him there, excitement extinguished and replaced by confusion.
"Man, that is wack! Not even back for a day and she says some weird stuff and jets?! What the hell, man?"
Tucker voiced Danny's thoughts without needing to read his mind. He and Sam met up with Danny to hang after Jazz decided to be cryptic and ghost him. All Danny could do was shrug in response.
"I don't know, Tuck. What's crazier is that I've seen this version of Jazz before. Being all cool and weird, not her usual psycho babble weird. I saw her in a dream, or something. Last night's dream, actually."
"Maybe that dream just meant you missed her. It's been a while and you have been thinking about her a lot, right? On top of your parents saying all that stuff about otherworldly creatures." Sam offered. It wasn't an unreasonable suggestion, after all.
"Oh! Or maybe it was some kind of premonition. That she traveled across time and space to see you again after some kind of tragic fate!"
"Tucker, you buffoon! that doesn't make any sense! If that was true, why'd she ditch? Be serious!"
Danny, not wanting to deal with another argument between them on top of Jazz's odd behavior, snaps at them. Tucker was joking, he knows that, but that cryptic warning and her sad eyes makes him concerned his friend had a point. He needed a subject change.
"Shut up! Just- Can we not... for one day?"
"Sure, man. Sorry." Tucker apologized, "I was just... trying to lighten the mood. Didn't realize I crossed the line."
"Hey," Sam started, "let's go to the music store in the mall! Something nicer to think on and the new Dumpty Humpty album is probably out by now."
"Don't your parents want you home for something today?" Danny doesn't want to be the reason she gets in trouble. Her parents already hate him for his parents and encouraging her true goth-y self as it is.
"Pssh! I don't care," she replies with a devious smirk, "Besides, my friend needs me more than whatever they want to force on me this time."
With no other objections, the trio heads out from Nasty Burger. Eager for a new topic and distraction.
Finding some tunes to try, they all separate and spread throughout the store. Danny tries to listen when he hears a cry for help echo in his head.
It sounded frantic.
Desperately calling for him.
Danny assumes so as he seems to be the only one reacting to this voice.
This scared voice.
Something inside him told him that he had to find whoever this voice belonged to. Had to make sure they're alright.
Making up his mind, he left the music store by himself and headed to where the voice seemed to originate from. Mentally apologizing to his friends for ditching.
A shady looking back alley feeling a darkness settle around him. An almost unnatural darkness.
He continued on into it, looking even when common sense screamed at him to turn around and find his friends. He was drawn to the voice and he needed to know why.
It wasn't until something shifted and fell in front of him that he found the source.
A small, cat-like creature of green, gold, black, and white with a large singular eye on its head above a cute, cat-like mouth. It's ears twitched and its tail shifted, it limped to him before collapsing.
Danny can't believe something this odd would exist! Its hurt, though, covered in scrapes and burns and open wounds and struggling to breathe.
So naturally, Danny scoops it up. He's not sure how it can speak in his head but something in him knows that this thing is where the voice came from. And something out there wants to hurt it!
Danny holds the creature close as an unknown person approaches him, realizing just how much danger he is in right now.
And out comes... Jazz?!
What?
She seems to be wearing the strange clothes she had on in his dream. Serious and scholarly but still a bit childish with long flow-y garments and small bows adding in for flair.
In her hand is... a weapon?!
A bow with energy where the arrows would go that turned into some kind of staff, a bo staff like his mom uses maybe, as she noticed him. Possibly it's inactive form, he thinks.
"Jazz... What's going on? Why are you attacking this poor creature?"
She looked hurt but determined as she tried to approach when Tucker unleashed a fire extinguisher on her, clearly still irritated at how she treated his best bro, and pulled Danny away.
Sam met up with them on their way out, having followed but lagged behind for one reason or another as Tucker ran ahead with the fire extinguisher.
The three run further into the alley, deeper and deeper into the dark as the world distorts around them.
None of them knowing just what they were walking into.
--------------------------------
Again!
She failed to stop first contact again!
Jazz doesn't know how long she's been at this, having long since lost count, but nothing will stop her. Not now. It can't.
She refuses to stop until she can find a timeline that allows him to grow up away from this wretched life style.
So he can live. Whether they live in it together is something she tries to tell herself that she doesn't care about. Trying to convince herself and failing.
He's always so quick to throw his life away. Making a wish for someone else when he could so easily use it selfishly, like against bullies or to get more attention from their parents.
Danny, her baby brother, for him she will loop this same cursed month again and again to protect him. Like she always has.
She barely remembers a time when she didn't try to warn him. Where she just stayed and listened to his excited rambles from space to their parents' usual neglect. When she stayed and they had a blast together. Before the horrors.
It's been a while since she paid attention to what they were up to at the beginning. She really hates that they were right now that it finally registered what they were doing and theorizing about. One thing she's grateful they don't know the whole story about.
They wouldn't be able to see it, anyway.
She almost wishes they could.
Not like it would come true, she already used her one wish. No regrets, can't afford them, but it has still made her bitter in some aspects she misses about her past self.
She's been doing so well these first few days back at the beginning of her loop, keeping that creature from contacting and contracting her brother. Not saying much, the first days back tend to be the simplest.
How she hates them. Those creatures who grant wishes promising miracles and purposefully neglecting the cruel truths paired with said miracles.
Calling for his help, her kind baby brother of course would check it out. Whenever this happens, that's the exact path he chose no matter the other variables.
Those damn Observii and their sinister cute act! Their stupid manipulations! Their honeyed words and misleading wording! Always keen to take full advantage of any and every little weakness and vulnerability!
Jazz can feel tears prick at her eyes thinking about it.
She must stay strong, be strong, for Danny.
To keep him safe from that horrible fate that befell him time and time again.
Bishop Shamura, what did your disciples have to do to earn their rank? Are there more ways than one?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
( Funfact, I made Shamuras disciples' outfits vaguely based on a moth because I am woefully obsessed with madoka and I unintentionally based them on the wings of the magius robes, turns out a group of Moths is called an Eclipse, which is very fitting for Shamura and the Old Faith.)
Magia Chap. 2-Starlight So Bright!
Here is the next chapter! I got started working on this at work before my shift and after I finished chapter 1. Yeah, I’m on a roll with this AU because it’s something I wanted to create since I joined the fandom.
Big shoutout to @belladazeblog916 and @summonfi for giving me encouragement to write this AU because of you guys this AU has been fun to work one alongside Pokemon AU.
So this part of the AU takes place around the time Lewis was supposed to go missing, but alas he didn’t.
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!!
It was late in the afternoon when Wiatt made it to the building where a new children’s entertainment facility called Dreamworld was about to open in a few months. He let out a sigh and held his backpack close as he slowly opened the door to the facility.
There wasn’t much, except for painted walls and posters of the characters that would be the stars of the facility. Wiatt smiled remembering these creations as Lewis would bring them up on their dates. He thought the designs were nice, especially the Starlight animatronic, which he always teased Lewis about since him.
He was so lost in his thoughts he bumped into an older man. “Oh sorry!”
“N-No it’s okay.” The older man replied.
Wiatt’s eyes widen recognizing the older man. “Wait are you Eric Gale?” He asked.
The older man nodded and remembered Lewis had told him something about an old friend coming over. “Yes.” Eric replied. “I’m guessing you’re, Wiatt Nicholson.”
Wiatt nodded in reply.
“Lewis told me you were coming, but I thought it would be later at night,” Eric explained.
“I left a little earlier, and decided to stop by now,” Wiatt explained.
Eric sighed, “You might have to wait for a bit. Lewis and his friends are in a meeting at the moment.” He explained.
“O-Oh. I see.”
“Yeah. It’s about Sara, again.”
Wiatt gave a glare and rolled his eyes. “Lewis has told me.” He said.
“Yeah. I worry about her. She was never like this, she was always excited to build this facility.” Eric explained.
Wiatt remembered one of his texts with Lewis and he said the same thing. A week after that, was when Sara started separating herself from him. Though he worried for Lewis, as Sara could’ve done something to him if he wasn’t careful. Wiatt gave his boyfriend plenty of warnings, but Lewis reassured him he just needed to talk to Sara or find out who the person is that’s keeping her away from them.
He didn’t want to stand here and just wait, he had to see Lewis. “I know Lewis is in a meeting, but is it alright to check up on him?” He asked.
“Sure,” Eric replied. “Just be careful, it could be tense.”
“I’ll be fine. Don’t worry.” Wiatt reassured the older man.
“Alright, good luck.”
Wiatt went through the doors that said ‘Employees Only’ and as he walked through the hall, he heard a familiar voice.
“You don’t get it, do you?!” A female voice yelled.
A voice that made him shiver.
“You haven’t understood any of my ideas since we agreed on a club logo back in high school. Everything else you always argue against!”
It was the voice of Sara Covetman, one of the founders, Lewis’s friend and someone Wiatt never trusted.
Quickly he ran through the hallways passing through a room where the voice was coming from. He stepped back a bit to see the three founders of Dreamworld in a meeting. Wiatt saw a small opening and saw Lewis and Sara in an argument as Oliver stood to the side looking nervous.
“I don’t even know who he is?! You won’t tell us?!” Lewis yelled.
“Well, Oliver doesn’t seem to mind, does he?” Sara asked. “What has he been working on while we go back and forth on my ideas?”
“Eric was right, this is tense.” Wiatt thought to himself. He wanted to wait a bit before coming in and intruding on the group on their conversation.
Lewis glared and pointed at Oliver standing right next to him. “He’s standing right here! The least you can do is ask him!” He shouted.
Sara groaned, “fine! Oliver, you clearly don’t have anything to say about our little dispute, what have you been working on?” She asked.
Oliver was about to speak, but the door squeaked causing the three founders to turn. Lewis saw a piece of recognizable clothing and walked over to the door. “W-Wiatt?” Lewis asked.
Wiatt opened the door, and walked in, chuckling nervously, “I hope I wasn’t interrupting something.” He said.
“You were,” Sara replied, crossing her arms. “What are you doing here Wiatt? I thought you were back home watching your grandfather’s creepy manor.”
“I was,” Wiatt replied, with a smug smile. “However, I wasn’t sure if Lewis gave you the message that I was coming over to visit. Were you just stuck in your office again?”
Sara glared at the smaller boy and gave a low growl.
Lewis smiled and gave a light chuckle, “Hello darling. I thought you would be here later tonight?” He asked.
“Well, I left a little earlier and figured I would see the place now rather than later,” Wiatt explained.
Lewis chuckled, he truly did miss Wiatt. Having been gone for a few years he saw Wiatt barely changed. His hair was a bit longer, but that’s about it.
“H-Hey Wiatt,” Oliver spoke up. “Glad you're here.”
“Oh, Oliver! It’s nice to see you too.” Wiatt replied. He then turned to Sara who glared at him, and he glared back, “Sara.”
“Wiatt,” Sara replied.
Lewis felt the tension again and decided to break it. “Um Wiatt, why don’t I give you a tour of the facility? It’s needed.” He asked.
“Sure,” Wiatt said. “Uh…is there anywhere safe I can keep my bag in? It’s a little heavy.”
“You can leave it here, darling. No one would touch it.” Lewis told him.
Wiatt glared at Sara, who looked offended. “Like I would dig through your stuff!” She snapped.
Wiatt rolled his eyes and put his backpack in one of the chairs. He unzipped the bag and looked at everything. If anything seemed out of place, he knew who to blame. Wiatt zipped his bag again and was ready to start his tour.
“Okay, ready,” Wiatt said.
Lewis chuckled as he took Wiatt's hand, which made the two blush, and decided to show him around the facility.
Once the two were gone, Sara made sure the two were gone and turned to Wiatt’s backpack. Oliver took notice and saw Sara digging through Wiatt’s bag.
“Uh…what are you doing?” Oliver asked.
“Looking through Wiatt’s bag,” Sara replied.
“Didn’t he say, not to go into his bag?”
“Yeah, but he has a reason to be here and I want to find out why.” Sara paused, seeing the jewelry box. She raised an eyebrow seeing the box inside the young boy’s bag, and pulled it out scanning it.
“Is that a jewelry box?” Oliver asked, walking over to his friend.
“It is,” Sara answered. “Now the question remains, why did he bring it here?”
What she didn’t know was that inside the box, the pink gem started to shine.
Sara put the box on the table as the two took a closer look at it ignoring the footsteps coming back into the room.
Wiatt returned to the office and froze seeing Sara looking at the jewelry box. She froze and stepped back from the box, and Oliver froze looking like a deer in the headlights.
 “uh…what are you doing?” Wiatt asked.
Sara looked up at him and the box, “I should be asking you, what is this?” Sara asked, picking up the box and pointing at it.
“It’s just a jewelry box I found in my house,” Wiatt replied. “Nothing special.”
“Why did you bring it?”
Wiatt opened his mouth, but he couldn’t come up with an answer. He just brought it with him without a second thought. “Look, I don’t know. My brain must’ve decided to take it and bring it. Just give it back to me.” He said walking over to Sara.
Sara pulled it away from Wiatt and held it up. Wiatt tried to reach for the box, but even though Sara was an inch or two taller than him, she was still tall enough to hold it back from him.
She then smirked and turned to Oliver. “Oliver heads up!” Sara yelled, tossing the box towards the timid boy.
Oliver yelped and caught the box, before sighing in relief.
Like with the pink gem, the green gem inside the box started to shine.
“Oliver, give it to me!” Wiatt yelled.
“Oliver, toss it back!” Sara yelled.
Oliver looked between Sara and Wiatt and decided to throw it to see who caught it first. Wiatt stepped back to grab it, but Sara tripped him and she caught the box.
Wiatt glared and tried to get the box back, but Sara threw it back at Oliver who caught it.
The shy boy smiled and threw it back to Sara before Wiatt could grab it back. From there, it was a game of monkey in the middle as the two founders tossed the box back and forth away from Wiatt.
“C-Come on guys! This isn’t fucking funny!” Wiatt yelled.
“It is to me!” Sara laughed. “Oliver, go long!” She tossed the box a little further as Wiatt ran over to it.
Oliver was about to catch it, but another pair of hands grabbed it.
“What’s going on here?!” Lewis shouted, holding the box in his hand.
Like with the other two gems, the blue gem started to shine and afterwards the other three gems shined as well.
“Uh…” Oliver started looking nervous and quickly pointed at the female founder. “Sara started it.”
Sara stuttered looking shocked that Oliver would call her out like that. “W-What?! Oliver, Y-You were enjoying it too!” She yelled back.
“Enough!” Lewis yelled. Oliver and Sara went quiet as they faced the other founder. “I’m putting an end to this, and giving this back to Wiatt.” He went over and handed the box back to his boyfriend. “Here you go, darling.”
“Thanks, Lewis,” Wiatt replied.
“Though I must know, is that a gift for me?” Lewis asked, interested in the box.
“N-No it’s something I found in my own house,” Wiatt replied. “I don’t know why I brought it. I just felt like bringing it.”
Sara rolled her eyes, “well did you open it?” She asked, hearing Wiatt’s reason wasn’t something she expected.
“I did, but inside are gems,” Wiatt answered.
“Gems!” Sara exclaimed. “Can I see?”
Wiatt pulled the box away from the female founder. “After the bullshit, you just pulled? No way!” Wiatt replied.
“Come on Wiatt! I just want to see!” She begged,
“Nope!”
“Darling, please show her,” Lewis exclaimed.
The smaller boy was surprised to see his boyfriend defending his friend, even though the two had been arguing for weeks, maybe months over the facility plans.
“L-Lewis,” Waitt whispered, still shocked.
“I won’t steal it I promise,” Sara said, putting a hand to her chest and raising the other one.
Wiatt growled tired of all this. He didn’t trust Sara, but also was hurt Lewis defended her, and not him. “Fine!” He yelled. He grumbled a bit as he opened the box showing the gems inside. However, upon opening them the gems started to glow bright. This concerned the trio because gems don’t usually glow like that,  “See, they're just gems, that's it.”
“Uhh…Wiatt…” Oliver spoke up, sounding frightened. “Are gems supposed to glow like that?”
Wiatt looked down at the box and saw the gems glowing brightly. Soon Wiatt and the Founder Trio’s eyes flashed like the colors of each gem before a bright multi-colored light flashed and sent the four towards the wall.
Tumblr media
Eric and Carly heard it from their office and ran quickly towards the room to see the four groaning and slowly getting up. “Are you guys okay?!” Eric asked, as he ran towards Lewis and helped him up.
“Y-Yeah, we're fine,” Lewis replied, rubbing his head.
Oliver groaned trying to stand up, but his legs felt shaky. “Ugh…I feel sick.” He groaned.
Sara slowly got up as she turned to Wiatt, putting on his glasses, and gave him a small glare. She wanted to yell at him, but her body was too weak at that moment. “Wiatt, what did you do?” She asked.
“I-I don’t know what that was, but it might’ve been when you and Oliver tossed it around, it activated something,” Wiatt explained.
The smaller boy looked at the box and closed it before putting it in his backpack.
Eric saw the four weak and tired, and after what transpired today he decided it would be best if the group left for the day.
“I think it’s best if we all go home and get some rest,” Eric said.
“Yeah…I’ll take that.” Oliver groaned.
Sara turned to the clock and saw it was only 5:05 pm. “I guess, but Lewis and Oliver if you feel well enough later come to my apartment to discuss things.”
“Fine by me darling. I still need to ask some…questions about earlier.” Lewis replied.
“Wiatt. I can give you a ride back to wherever you're staying.” Eric said.
Wiatt sighed, even though he walked here his body felt too weak to even walk. “T-That would be nice. Thank you.” He replied.
Eric smiled and the group split off for the night.
Once back at his hotel, Wiatt collapsed on his bed. During the ride, he felt his head pounding and his chest was hurting. Heck, Oliver suffered the same thing, as he too was given a ride back with Eric, and he wondered if Lewis and Sara felt the same.
Curious, Wiatt dug into his bag and pulled out the box again. He opened the box, and his eyes widened in shock.
The gems inside were no longer shining, but instead dimmed and faded.
“That’s odd. They were shining not too long ago. I wonder what happened.” He said.
