Nothing Bad Happens Chap. 7- The Walker Triplets
Next chapter is here and we got a few things!
First off, angst! Yeah even though nothing truly bad happens, there is angst in the story! I’m also touching on a serious topic I never touched on before, but hopefully, I did it right.
Second, like how the main WTDW canon has fans and people who work on the show be workers. I’ve decided to do the same thing for NBH, introducing me and my friends sonas as DWE workers! To start it off I’m introducing my WTDW-sona as well as my beta reader to the mix.
Third and finally, even though I planned and wrote this fanfic I realized how dark and serious my topic choice for this chapter could be.
So, TRIGGER WARNING as it does deal with dark topics like abuse and neglect.
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!
It was another fun day at Dreamworld and now it was closing time. Many of the families were leaving with their kids who waved goodbye to the animatronics, who also waved back. Most of the workers were grabbing their stuff and ready to head home for the night before their shift tomorrow or to enjoy their weekend.
However, there was still someone inside the facility, or rather a trio of brothers named John, James, and Jake. The three sat by some benches at RollerRink as they waited for their parents.
James, who sat in the middle, looked between his two brothers; John sat patiently while Jake sat, nervously swinging his legs. “So…mom might have forgotten, again,” Jake said.
“Or maybe she’s upstairs waiting for us,” John replied.
“Hey if she forgot we can explore the facility at night,” James suggested. “We can play in the arcade, go through lost and found stuff, heck we can speak with the animatronics!”
The second James thought of speaking with animatronics, Jake looked over as he saw Cheer roll away, to get some rest for the night. He sighed, seeing he never had a chance to talk to the animatronic at all today. Even though he was scared of them, he wanted to speak to one of them to build confidence.
“Still scared of them, huh?” John asked, leaning in towards his brother.
“W-Well a little. I mean before they could talk I was terrified, now they're all talking and they're not as scary,” Jake explained, “but I’m just scared what to talk about with them?”
James thought and snapped his fingers once he got an idea, “Why don’t you ask them how they can talk?” He asked.
“James, you can’t just ask how they can talk? It’s part of their programming.” John explained.
James glared at his brother, “well you can’t ask what their favorite food is either?” He replied.
“True.”
Jake was tired sitting around and getting up, “look, we’ve been waiting for a long time for Mom, we should go and look for her.” He voiced. “She should be here now!”
“Jake’s right,” James said, getting up. “Mom should be here by now!”
John sighed and got up. “Oh alright, but we’re not leaving the building till we see her or her car,” he stated. His brothers nodded and went over to the elevators to get to the lobby.
James pressed the button and once heard the bell they were about to step inside until they saw Lewis and Eric inside. The two adults and the triplets’ eyes widened, staring at each other.
“Sorry! We’ll take the next one.” James chuckled as he pulled his brothers away and ran where the stairs were located.
John and Jake looked shocked and ran after their brother, “W-Why are we running?!” Jake yelled.
“That was one of the founders, Jake!” James yelled. “W-We can’t let him see us!”
“Why?” John asked. “I mean, I heard Lewis is the kindest founder, he could help us get to Mom!”
The triplets skidded to a halt seeing the doors to the stairs were closed due to being repaired. “How does the stairs need to be repaired?!” James yelled. “It’s stairs!”
The triplets froze, hearing footsteps behind them, and saw Lewis and Eric behind them. The three huddled with each other, scared and frightened of what the founder and his friend were gonna do.
Seeing they were scared, Eric stopped Lewis from getting any closer. “Are you three okay?” He asked.
Jake looked up and saw the two were concerned and weren’t walking any closer to him or his brothers.
“We’re not going to hurt you, darlings,” Lewis spoke.
Jake and his brothers loosened up and straightened up as they were face-to-face with the founder of their favorite place in the world.
Lewis chuckled, “You don’t have to be proper with me, darlings. Loosen up.”
The triplets let out a sigh and did as Lewis told them. “Sorry, you're just the founder and we want to be polite,” John explained.
The founder felt honored and felt Eric nudge him with his elbow. “Looks like you got yourself someone that looks up to you.” He said.
“Is that how you felt around me and my friends?” Lewis asked.
Eric chuckled, “pretty much.” He said.
“You know Lewis Bright?” James asked.
“Know him?” Eric replied, “I taught him everything he needed to know. I was his former teacher.”
“No way!” The triplets yelled.
“Way!” Eric exclaimed in reply. “I’m Eric Gale, and you are?”
“I’m John Walker, and these are my brothers; James and Jake,” John said introducing himself and his brothers. James gave a wide smile and waved, while Jake gave a nervous smile waving as well.
Lewis chuckled and waved at the brothers. “What are you three doing here?” He asked.
The brothers looked at each other not knowing what to tell the founder. “W-Well,” John stuttered. “We were waiting on our mom, but she hasn’t shown up yet.”
“Oh, do you want us to wait out with you?” Eric asked.
The triplets looked at one another before looking at the adults. “Uh…sure…” James replied.
The two adults led the brothers to the elevator, and once it came for them, Lewis pressed the button to head up to the lobby. Once up at the lobby, there was no one there.
“Hmm…think your mom is outside?” Eric asked.
The triplets ran to the door and saw the parking lot was empty except for the cars belonging to the founders, Eric, and one other individual.
There the triplets saw a figure walking and they smiled thinking it was their mom. “Mom!” They exclaimed, opening the door and running outside. Eric and Lewis tried to stop them, but it was too late as triplets tackled the figure outside.
Turns out the figure the triplets tackled was Wiatt, who was walking to meet up with his ride. Jake looked down and his eyes widened seeing it wasn’t their mom. “Hey, you're not our mom!” He exclaimed.
“I’m not!” Wiatt yelled as he carefully removed the triplets from them.
“Sorry, sir.” James apologized.
Wiatt sighed, “It’s fine.” He replied.
“Wiatt!” Lewis and Eric shouted as they ran outside. The founder helped his boyfriend up and brushed him off. “You alright darling?” Lewis asked.
Wiatt nodded, “I’m fine Lewis.” He reassured his boyfriend. “I think it’s in the job description to be attacked by little kids.”
Lewis chuckled, “Sorry, but these three are waiting for their mother.” He explained.
“Do you want me to help?” Wiatt asked.
“More the merrier, darling.”
Wiatt gave a light chuckle and looked around the parking lot to see if he could spot a car. “So what color is your mom’s car?”
“Uh…” The triplets trailed off. Rarely, their mom ever used her car and in those situations they would usually take the bus. The triplets tried to remember what color car their mom drove, but nothing came to mind.
The adults frowned knowing the brothers were keeping something from them. “D-Do you three even have a family?” Lewis asked.
“W-We do!” Jake exclaimed.
“It’s just our mom forgets sometimes,” John added.
Eric’s eyes widened at the triplets in horror. “H-How long has she forgotten?” He asked.
James hummed as he used his fingers to count the many times their mom had forgotten, but lost count after he got to ten. “A bunch of times, but we’re used to it.” He said.
Wiatt, Lewis, and Eric’s mouths dropped hearing this from an eight-year-old.
“Plus we were just going to sleep in the facility if she doesn’t show and then take the bus home,” James explained.
John chuckled, “N-no. We were going to check if mom arrived and call her like reasonable kids.” He said, trying to cover his brother.
Eric sighed, “well looks like we’re going to do just that.” He said. “Come on, let’s head back inside.”
The triplets followed the adults back inside the facility and went into the conference room. Lewis called over Oliver and Sara who were both still in their office finishing up for the night. He told his friends the situation at hand, and both went to the conference room where their former teacher, the triplets, and Lewis’s boyfriend were.
Out of the triplets, John was the one who learned his home number and mom’s cell phone number. Lewis tried to call the house number, but the line was disconnected.
Eric tried calling the triplets' mom’s phone number, but she never answered. He tried to call again and this time he left a voicemail.
“Hi, I’m Eric Gale. I work at Dreamworld Entertainment. I have your kids here at the facility. They need to be picked up as soon as possible as we’re closed now. Call me back, bye.”
John looked up at the older man who looked disappointed that he couldn’t reach his mom. He turned to his siblings and saw James was trying to stay awake while Jake was already asleep.
“Well.” James started, before letting out a yawn, “Jake’s asleep, guess we’ll stay here for the night.” He suggested.
“No.” The adults said at the same time. James crossed his arms and pouted.
Oliver sensed the boy’s disappointment and put a hand on his shoulder. “It’s for the best that you three don’t stay here all night.”
“Why? You guys stay here all night?”
“One,” Sara spoke up, “we’re the founders and we have a lot to work on.” She explained, “And two, where are you three going to sleep?”
“Trampoland,” James answered.
The adults blinked and looked at each other in shock and horror. “You sure about that darling?” Lewis asked. “I mean you’ll be with Ribbondancer all night, and he’s a major night owl.”
“I mean, there’s that but the trampolines there are bouncy we can jump and tire ourselves out by sleeping on them!” James explained.
“You know some of those bouncy areas do have holes and you can fall into them,” Eric explained.
James shrugged, “Quality over quantity I guess.” He said before letting out a yawn.
Eric gave a small smile and rubbed the young boy’s back. “If you need to sleep, sleep. I’ll wake you and your brother when we figure out something.” He said in a calm voice.
The young boy nodded and closed his eyes as he laid his head down on the table and fell asleep.
John gave a small smile seeing his brothers get some sleep. He too was tired but wanted to stay awake so he could hear the adults' plans.
“You should sleep too darling,” Lewis said.
“It’s fine, I usually sleep a little later than my brothers,” John reassured the founder.
“Okay,” Wiatt spoke up, “we have three triplets whose mom isn’t coming to pick them up tonight. They need a place to stay for the night.”
The Founder Trio turned to their former teacher, who looked shocked. “M-Me?” He asked. The trio and Wiatt nodded. “W-Why?”
“Well, the owner of the apartment complex hates us and would probably kick us out if we brought in the triplets to live with us,” Sara explained.
“My apartment is only for two people,” Wiatt explained.
“So, the best option is you, Eric,” Lewis added.
Eric was dumbfounded that his former students picked him to be the caretaker of the triplets. “Look I appreciate you guys choosing me, but I’m raising Carly and taking care of Oliver’s siblings. Three more is a lot!” He exclaimed.
John shushed the oldest adult as he pointed to Jake and James who were asleep.
“Sorry,” Eric whispered. He then remembered Sara had a caretaker growing up and wondered if they would be of any assistance., “Sara, do you think Celio could take in the triplets?”
Sara shook her head. “As much as they want to, Celio is busy as a therapist and helping their brother with important business.” She explained.
Eric sighed, knowing his other option was out at the moment. He then felt Oliver put a hand on his shoulder. “You're doing a great job taking care of Ben and Liz.” He said. “I believe you can handle it.”
“Plus it’s only temporary till we hear anything from their mom,” Lewis added.
“If anything, I’ll bring it up during tomorrow’s meeting,” Sara said.
“Alright,” Eric said, giving a small smile. “I’ve always trusted you three before. Guess I gotta put my trust in you again.”
The Founder Trio looked at each other and smiled.
“Yeah, wasn’t the last time you trusted those three with something, your house became a nightclub?” Wiatt asked.
Eric’s eyes widened. “Wait what?”
“Nothing!” The Founder Trio yelled running over to Wiatt. Lewis and Oliver covered his mouth, while Sara put him in a chokehold. “He said nothing.” The three glared at the smaller boy, who gave a nervous, yet muffled chuckle.
Eric was confused, but it was getting late, he’ll talk about what Wiatt brought up about the trio tomorrow. He then went to Jake and put him on his back, while he held James in his arms. John looked up at the older man and followed him out of the facility to his car.
At Eric’s house, Carly was still awake as she waited for her dad to come home. She called her father, and he said he’ll be home soon. The young girl was about to call her dad again but saw his car coming into view. Her smile widened as she ran out of the house and watched as her father pulled in.
Eric came out of the car and smiled seeing his daughter still awake. “Hi, ladybug.” He whispered.
“Where were you?” Carly asked.
Her father didn’t say a word and stepped aside to show his daughter why he didn’t come home on time. Her eyes widened as she saw the Walker Triplets, who were all asleep in the car. She looked up at her father, hoping he could explain himself.
“I’ll tell you once we’re inside,” Eric whispered.
Carly nodded and helped her father carry one of the triplets inside. She carried Jake, while her father carried James and John. The two put the triplets in the guest room before Eric led his daughter to her room, and told her everything that happened.
“I can’t believe someone, a mother even would just leave their kids alone at the facility like that!” Carly exclaimed.
“I know, ladybug,” Eric replied. “Hopefully tomorrow we’ll hear from the triplets' mother.”
Carly frowned as her father tucked her in and kissed her forehead. “Night my little ladybug.”
“Night, Dad.” Carly replied before closing her eyes and falling asleep. Eric smiled and turned off the lights in her room before closing the door softly.
Before he went to sleep he decided to check on the Acrimony twins and the Walker Triplets. First were the twins who were sound asleep, but from the looks of it, Liz was reading one of her comics before she fell asleep. Eric smiled and went to her bed, closing the book and putting it on top of her drawer. He then left the twins' room and went to check on the triplets in the guest room.
The triplets were fast asleep, hugging each other. Eric saw they were fine, closed the door, and went to his room. He changed out of his regular clothes and into his Ribbon Dancer-themed pajamas before going to bed.
The following morning, Wiatt and many of the Dreamworld workers were in the meeting room discussing with one another before the founders arrived.
The young mechanic yawned as these meetings started an hour or so early before the facility opened for the day.
The second the door opened, the founder trio and Eric came in. The latter sat down with the rest of his co-workers.
“Alright darlings, let’s settle down,” Lewis spoke up. Everyone turned to face the three founders as the meeting was about to begin. “Now before we start the meeting I do want to bring up an incident that happened last night at the facility.”
Many of the workers looked at each other in worry, confused at what happened at the facility last night. “What did happen last night?” Lisa, one of the managers asked.
“Apparently we had triplets abandoned here last night, and we couldn’t contact their mom.” Sara started. “We hoped Eric got a call back, or someone came here last night looking for them, but nothing.”
Eric cleared his throat, making everyone face him. “If I could speak Sara.” He started. “The triplets stayed with me for the night, however as much as I want to take care of them, it’s a bit much at the moment.”
“S-So,” Oliver spoke up. “We were wondering if anyone is willing to take in a pair of three 8-year-olds.”
“No.” The trio turned to face a young man around their age wearing a Madhouse uniform, with the front tips of his hair blue. He quickly got up from his seat, “No, absolutely fucking not! I’m out!” He yelled as he left the meeting room and slammed the door.
“Figured that would happen,” Sara said.
Another young man wearing glasses and a Trampoland uniform, turned to the founders, “If it's okay with you three. I can go check up on Hayden.” He said.
“Yes, Pen of course.” Lewis replied, “But before you go are you willing to take in triplets?”
Pen shook his head, “Sorry, my next-door neighbor just had a baby. I’m still standing despite the little rascal crying 12 hours a day.” He explained before going to find Hayden and calm him down.
“Well then, anyone else?” Lewis asked.
Everyone looked at one another nervously. Knowing the reaction on everyone’s faces none of them had the time or resources to take care of kids. The founders looked at one another and decided that they call upon someone.
“Lisa,” Lewis spoke up.
“S-Sorry sir,” Lisa replied. “My place doesn’t have room to take in triplets.”
Lewis glanced at Sara, who picked the girl next to Lisa talking with her friend in a MadHouse uniform. The young girl had brown hair with a purple butterfly hair clip on the right side of her hair and wore a Rollerrink uniform. “Franny.” She spoke up, causing Franny to look at her boss. “What about you?”
Franny gave a nervous chuckle, “Sorry Sara. I wish I could, but I can’t.” She replied.
Sara then looked over at the girl Franny was talking to, Gigi. The latter shook her head, “sorry.”
The female founder sighed and looked over at Oliver. The taller founder sighed and glanced at the person closest to him, Audrey. “Honestly I’d love to take them in, but for starters, my apartment is too small, and my parents moved to their new house after they retired.” She explained.
The founders groaned realizing none of their co-workers could take in the Walker Triplets and turned to Eric. The older man sighed, “Guess I’m stuck with them.” He said.
Audrey raised an eyebrow and looked up at the engineer. “What are you talking about?” She asked. “You took care of three kids already.”
Eric was confused, “what do you mean?” He asked.
The workers then pointed at the founder trio who were surprised as well. The trio looked at one another in shock before pointing at themselves, “Us.” They said at the same time. All the workers nodded in sync.
The Founder Trio and Eric looked at one another, and the former teacher let out a smile. “Well I mean you three were the best in my class.” He explained.
“And didn’t you take them to places like amusement parks and the competitions they competed in?” Audrey asked.
“Also,” Wiatt added, “from what Lewis told me, you always had them stay at your place to study or stay the night.”
The founders were chuckling nervously, realizing their co-workers did have a point. Eric did care for them, as the trio didn’t have a father figure in their lives. Sure Sara had a caretaker, but with them being a therapist there were times when they couldn’t be available.
“Fair enough,” Eric said. “I guess I’ll take care of them till we get info on their mom.”
The Founder Trio smiled and decided to end the meeting for the day. Everyone got up and went to their assigned floors and jobs, except for Wiatt who decided to stay behind with the trio and Eric.
“Do you guys want me to help?” Wiatt asked.
Lewis shook his head, “don’t worry darling we got it from here.” He reassured his boyfriend.
Wiatt nodded and looked at Eric, “so where are the triplets?” He asked.
“At home, Carly, and Oliver’s siblings are babysitting them,” Eric said.
Meanwhile at Eric’s house, Carly, Ben, and Liz were staring at the Walker Triplets who stared back. None of them knew what to do or say to each other.
“Is one of us going to say something?” Jake whispered to John.
“Not me, James?” John asked, looking at his brother.
James shook his head, but his brothers gave him a glance, which made him sigh and turn towards the older kids. “So…what do you do around here?” He asked.
“Not much.” Carly and the Acrimony Twins replied at the same time.
“Dad’s at work and usually he’ll bring us, but we need to watch you three for the day,” Carly explained.
“What about when you're not at the facility?” John asked.
“School, but it’s summer so,” Ben started and turned to his twin sister to finish his sentence.
“We just chill here, or at the facility.” Liz finished.
The triplets thought about what fun things they could do with the older kids, and James snapped his fingers as an idea came to mind. “You guys have video games?” James asked.
Carly smiled, “my dad has some old retro games he lets us play.” She said, getting up and going to a cabinet that shelved some old game systems. This caught James and Jake’s attention as they got up and looked into the cabinet, their jaws dropped seeing what kinds of games were inside.
The games Eric had were old and retro. “Pick which one you want and I’ll help you set it up,” Carly explained.
“Are these retro games?” James asked.
Carly nodded with a smile.
“These are ancient!” Jake yelled.
“Don’t say that in front of my dad, it makes his hair turn gray faster.” Carly reminded them. Jake and James chuckled at the thought of it. Carly rolled her eyes but smiled. “Well, which game system sounds fun for you guys?”
The two brothers looked at each other and pointed at the GameCube. Carly removed it from the shelf and put it down. She then opened up another cabinet and pulled out a couple of games before going over to the tv and setting up.
Back at the facility, Lewis was in his office until he got a phone call. “H-Hello?” He answered. “Uh yeah, this is Lewis Bright, one of the founders.” Lewis listened to what the person on the other line had to say. He quickly grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down everything the person over the phone told him. “T-That’s great! Thank you! we’ll go see her right now.” He hung up the phone and went over to Oliver’s office.
“Darlings!” Lewis yelled, causing Oliver and Sara to look up. “I got a call from someone who knows the triplets!”
“That’s great!” Sara beamed.
Lewis nodded, “They even gave me the address of the apartment complex they live in.” He explained.
Oliver’s eyes widened, “wait! An address?” He asked.
“Yeah, the lady over the phone, Marissa, told me her daughter knows the triplets and says their mom is sick,” Lewis explained.
Oliver and Sara looked at each other nervous about this. “Are you sure you aren’t being tricked?” Oliver asked, again. “This sounds suspicious.”
Lewis knew his timid friend was right, and that “Marissa” could be leading Lewis into a trap. “I know darling, but we need to head over there to see if the triplets' mom is okay.”
“If you said we, does that mean we’re going with you?” Sara asked.
Lewis nodded. Sara and Oliver looked at each other before Sara spoke up, “Oh alright, count me in.” She said going over to Lewis.
Oliver stuttered a bit, “B-but Sara!” He exclaimed.
“Relax, I can keep Lewis and you safe,” Sara reassured her best friend.
Oliver sighed seeing his friends were willing to go there. “Alright.” He sighed. Lewis and Sara smiled and the three went over to Eric, who was talking with Wiatt about helping him with some engineering plans.
“Darling! We got information on the triplets mom! We’re heading over there right now.” Lewis explained.
“Alright be safe you three,” Eric said to the trio.
Lewis smiled. “You and Wiatt are in charge till we get back.” He said.
Wiatt looked shocked the second he was told he was in charge. “Wait, why me?” He asked.
“You're dating a founder, so you get an automatic leadership position like Eric!” Sara exclaimed as she and her friends left.
The mechanic’s mouth dropped as he looked over at the older adult, who didn’t seem to mind being put in charge. “Do they do this when Lewis and the others are not around?” He asked.
Eric nodded, “yep, before you arrived they picked me and random co-workers or the animatronics to run Dreamworld if they aren’t around.” He explained.
Wiatt was speechless, but he didn’t know how to respond to it. “I’m just glad this building didn’t collapse.” That was all Wiatt could say.
“Eh…” Eric trailed off before chuckling. “Almost happened.”
Wiatt’s eyes widened and he turned to the engineer in shock. Eric turned and gave a sheepish smile towards the young mechanic.
The Founder Trio took Lewis’s car and drove to the address where the Walker Triplets lived. Once they arrived, the trio felt nervous thinking Oliver was right, maybe they were about to fall into a trap.
“H-Hey. We’ll be fine guys.” Sara reassured her friends. She put her hands in her pocket, which held a pocket knife as she led the group.
Lewis looked at the paper and read the apartment number. “It’s C-063, darling.” He said.
Sara nodded and the three went upstairs to where the apartment was located. They passed a few doors before finding C-063. The trio looked at each other before Lewis decided to knock on the door. The three waited for a bit, but no answer.
Oliver knocked on the door again, yet still no answer.
“Hello!” Lewis yelled. “Is someone here?”
The door unlocked and a woman with bags under her blue eyes and black hair, wearing a blue plaid robe.
The Founder Trio held their breath as the smell of alcohol came through. They tried to keep it professional in hopes of talking to the woman without upsetting her.
“What?” She groaned.
“Hi, are you Mrs. Walker?” Lewis asked, forcing a smile on his face.
Mrs. Walker sighed as she leaned through the doorway. “Yeah, who are you?” She asked.
“I’m Lewis Bright, and these are my two friends, Sara and Oliver, we own Dreamworld Entertainment,” Lewis explained.
“Ah.” Mrs. Walker took out a cigarette and lit it before putting it in her mouth and letting it out, “did the boys cause trouble?”
“N-No ma’am, they were left at the facility last night,” Sara said. “We just wanted to know why you didn't pick them up.”
Mrs. Walker said nothing and took another swing of her cigarette. “Because I was enjoying my bottle of wine.” She replied.
Sara turned to her friends, who just gave nervous looks. They never dealt with a situation like this before. Angry parents or parents in fear their kids ran off and no one could find them.
“Um…okay…” Sara trailed off. “Um, if you’d like we can drop them off here…”
Mrs. Walker’s eyes widened before she started laughing. Sara jumped and stepped back a bit holding Oliver and Lewis in fear. Mrs. Walker stopped laughing and started to cough, probably due to smoking. Once she stopped she glared at the founder trio, “I don’t care what you do with them. All I can say is they ruined my life, my marriage, everything I have going for me. If anything I hope they’re like their father and would run off with some brute.” She spat.
The founder trio felt their blood boiling as they glared at the “mother”. Now it was Oliver’s turn to step up and speak to this vile woman. “Listen here!” Oliver snapped. Lewis and Sara’s eyes widen in shock. They never heard Oliver raise his voice before.  “Those are your kids! I’ve met a woman like you, and that was my own mom!” He yelled.
Sara and Lewis looked at one another, remembering Oliver’s home life sucked too. His own parents ignored him and his siblings and barely cared for them.
“It’s never your kids' fault that your life got like this, but blaming them for your misfortunes makes me sick! So you're given an option: Fix your life and care for your kids or lock up like some sore loser and never see them again!” Oliver continued, yelling.
Mrs. Walker didn’t react other than slam the door on Oliver’s face. He didn’t flinch but glared before walking back to the car. “Let’s go and tell Eric about this bitch.” He said.
“Darling,” Lewis said, reaching out to his friend.
“I’m fine, Lewis,” Oliver said coldly.
Lewis and Sara looked at one another and followed Oliver closely behind. Once they made it back to Lewis’s card, Oliver went to the front passenger seat and slammed the car door. Not long after, Lewis and Sara got into the car and drove back to tell Eric everything.
Eric made it home from another long day at the facility. Once he entered his home, he saw his daughter, the triplets, and the Acrimony Twins laughing over watching funny videos on Liz’s tablet.
“Well, looks like you guys had fun today,” Eric said.
Carly looked up and smiled. She got up from the couch and hugged her dad. “Hey Dad! How was work?” She asked.
“It was a normal day,” Eric replied, hugging his daughter back, “but I got some news for the triplets.”
The triplets looked at each other before looking up at the older man, “what is it?” James asked.
“It turns out someone found out about your mom, and Lewis and the rest of the founders are heading there now,” Eric explained.
“Oh, that’s good,” Jake replied.
Eric was confused, “good? Aren’t you three excited?”
“We are, it’s just…” Jake trailed off, but before he could explain, there was a knock on the door.
Eric turned to the door and opened it to see the founder trio looking upset. The older man knew this wasn’t good news. “What happened?” He asked.
“We need to talk,” Oliver said. “Privately.”
Eric’s eyes widened as he looked back at the triplets who frowned knowing the founders found out about their mom.
Eric took the founders to his backyard where they could tell him everything in secret. They told him everything he needed to know about the triplets’ mother and what kind of woman she was. Like Oliver, he too was angry hearing what the triplets had to go through.
Jake watched through the window and saw the anger forming on Eric’s face.
“I can’t believe it! How can a woman treat her own kids like that?!” He yelled.
The Founder Trio didn’t say anything as they didn’t know themselves. Sure, Oliver could relate to the triplets, but he couldn’t even understand why his parents never cared for him or his twin siblings.
“You're not thinking of taking them back there, are you?” Oliver asked.
Eric shook his head giving the founders some relief. “I’ll take them in. I don’t think this woman wouldn’t put up a fight for me taking her kids.” He said.
Jake smiled hearing it before he was noticed by Sara. The young boy got nervous and stopped watching the adults. He decided to head back into the bedroom he and his brothers were in.
Sara opened the door and stopped the young boy, “hey, Jake right?” Sara asked.
“Y-Yeah,” Jake replied.
“Saw you spying on us, and we want to know did you and your brothers know your mom was…” Sara‘a voice trailed off. She tried to think of a word to best describe his “mom”.
“Mean?” Jake asked. Sara turned to him. “Yeah, but John and James say she’s just tired, but I don’t think that’s true.”
Sara held her hand out for the young boy, who grabbed it as she led the young boy outside. He then took one of the empty seats and sat down facing the adults. “I-uh-I’m guessing you want me to share what’s been going on, huh?” Jake asked.
“Only what makes you comfortable,” Eric said.
Jake nodded. “Well, when our dad was around there were arguments, a lot of them going on.” He started. “I think Dad, didn’t like us since we were triplets, and said we were expensive. So, that’s when mom would abandon us like at parks, or stores. However, she would pick us up at night when Dad was asleep or someone else would give us a ride.”
The adults frowned realizing the triplets had it hard even then.
“Then a year ago, Mom and Dad got into a bad argument. and Dad left, but he hasn’t come back.” Jake continued. “After he left is when mom started to act the way she does.”
Eric frowned and went over to the young boy and put his arm around him. Jake looked up, and see the look on the grown ups eyes, he knew Eric was allowing him to stop.
However, Jake wanted to be brave and kept on going. “Not long ago, I tried calling my dad, but someone else picked up the phone, a woman named Maria.” He explained. “I heard of her before, dad mentioned she was just a friend, and that he spent the night at her place before.” Jake paused and looked at the founders, “is that normal?”
The founders and Eric were in shock. They didn’t realize it was that bad. However, none could explain to the young boy what his father was doing.
“I-It depends, darling,” Lewis said, in a low voice.
“I see,” Jake replied. “Well, mom found out, and…” He stopped, touching his bandage.
“She caused harm to you, didn’t she?” Oliver asked.
Jake nodded.
“You and your brothers don’t deserve this kind of treatment,” Oliver said.
“I know.” Jake sighed.
“Jake.” Eric started. The young boy looked at the older man who turned to face him. “My dad walked out of me too, and while my mom didn’t go the path your mom did. I understand that feeling.” He explained. “However, you and your brothers won’t be alone anymore. I’ll take you guys in and you’ll get to experience what a family is truly like.”
Jake’s eyes widened and soon they sparkled like stars, “r-really?!” He asked.
“Really,” Eric replied ruffling the young boy’s hair.
“T-Thank you,” Jake said. Soon his stomach started to rumble, which made him chuckle.
“I’m guessing you're getting hungry?”
Jake nodded, making Eric chuckle.
“Well, it’s almost dinner time. Guess I’ll start now.” Eric said. He then turned to the founder trio, “you three want to join us?”
The trio’s eyes widened, they remembered Eric was an amazing cook. “Sure!” They beamed at the same time.
“N-Need help with setting up the table?” Oliver asked. “I-I can do that.”
Jake smiled seeing the trio ask Eric for help during dinner. He sighed and followed the adults back inside knowing he and his brothers lives were about to get better.

waitwaitwait. Coffee shop au? What’s this one about?
I did make a post about it months ago, but I'll tell you.
Instead of a children's entertainment center with animatronics, the founders end up buying a coffee shop from a mysterious man (maybe Litho). A month before the coffee shop is re-opened Sara finds a hidden room filled with magical potions and comes up with an idea of making magical coffee.
At that same time, Lewis meets Wiatt for the first time (they don't meet in high school in this AU) and finds out he works at the arcade in the same shopping center as the coffee shop. The two go on dates, leaving Sara and Oliver to start preparing for opening and Sara jealous Lewis made a new friend.
Sara then reveals the hidden room to Oliver and Lewis, and Oliver immediately says HELL NO TO MESSING WITH MAGIC!! Lewis wants to make a love potion and asks Sara. With an evil smile, she agrees and tries to make a potion where Lewis says bad things about Wiatt hoping the two would break up and Lewis can focus on the Coffee Shop.
HOWEVER,
Sara ends up using a potion that turns Lewis into Starlight. The two are freaking out and Oliver comes in and tells Sara, "THIS IS WHY WE DON'T MESS WITH SHIT!"
In short, Lewis turns back to normal however, a side effect from the potion can make Lewis turn into Starlight depending on his emotions.
SIDE PLOT:
-Norman and Andrew run Watchful Eye Toys, which is a normal toy store and Norman flirts with Sara, who doesn't return his feelings back and friendzones him from time to time.

Note
what has been your favorite evil plan/thing that you've done or come up with for an au?
OH!
OH!!!
That would be my Timeline Reset AU. I don't have a proper name for it yet, but unlike the other Timeline Reset AUs where it's trying to stop Litho, it's...more then that.
So minor spoilers with semi context:
Litho DOESN'T possess Sara, but rather another person.
One character dies
One character looses something
I'll write this AU soon because I shared so much with my friends on discord, but I want to finish the next chapter of Pokemon AU first.
Speaking of, Pokémon AU comes at a close second just because I have backstories planned and they are just as angst fueled!

pick any two of your au's right?. Think of two.
Don't read the rest of the asks until have to random days in mind.
You have two?
Great now what what would happen if like..... the Lewis, Oliver and Sara from those au switched. For like a week.
Are worlds being destroyed? Are new dynamics being formed? Relationships broken? Murder? Is everything fine? What happens!?
:)
(personally one of my favorite things to think about when I have a ton of aus for a fandom so I thought it would be fun to ask)
The two AUs I pick is Coffee Shop AU and Nothing Bad Happens AU.
NBH AU! Founder Trio finds a Potions Lab in a coffee shop and are curious.
Coffee Shop AU! Founder Trio are asking NBH AU Wiatt how did Sara turn so many humans into animatronics? Wiatt is in shock and probably will tackle CS!Sara to the ground.

I've been going HOG WILD with this AU and you guys are going to love it!!! And then hate me for it because I crushed you.

Nothing Bad Happens-Let’s Trick or Treat (Halloween Special)
Hey guys! Got a Halloween special for Nothing Bad Happens AU for you all! I wanted to try and get started on an October month challenge, but nothing seemed to work and click with me. Not only that work and life were stressful on me at the start of October, so my motivation was out the window.
Big thanks to @gigilefache for beta reading!
The Halloween costumes for the founders in this fanfic are based off of @myemyehere Halloween costumes he created last year over on his art blog.
Happy Halloween!!
It was the beginning of October, and Wiatt and his fellow employees at Dreamworld were grabbing boxes filled with Halloween decorations to decorate the facility with. Audrey and Andrew had been hanging fake bats and ghosts on the ceiling, while Pen and Wiatt put Halloween stickers all over the windows.
“Hey Wiatt!” Andrew exclaimed. Wiatt looked up at his co-worker, “are you going to dress up for Halloween?”
“Dress up?” Wiatt asked.
Audrey nodded as she hung one of the bats up on the ceiling. “The Founders are allowing us to wear our costumes at work on Halloween.”
Wiatt sighed, “I’m not sure. I haven’t dressed up since high school,” he replied. That specific day was Lewis’s Halloween party, where everyone dressed up while watching horror movies. It ended an hour earlier thanks to one of Lewis’s theater buddies bringing gruesome horror movies that left everyone traumatized.
“Well, you should!” Pen exclaimed. “Most of us are doing a group dress-up.”
“Group dress up?” Wiatt asked as he put a ghost sticker on the door.
Andrew nodded as he handed Audrey the rest of the decorations. “Yeah, Audrey and her mom know how to make costumes, so we decided to dress up as characters from our favorite shows, games, and other stuff.” He explained.
“I added that it would be fun to group up with other workers if interested and we can do one series we like and dress up as those characters,” Audrey added.
Wiatt raised an eyebrow, “like a convention?”
“Exactly! Only we’ll be working!” Pen replied.
Wiatt chuckled, now thinking about it sounded fun to dress up with his fellow co-workers. “Alright, I’ll join in. What form of media will you be dressing up as?”
“Well, Andrew, Pen, and I are going to dress up as characters from Heroes of Destiny!” Audrey explained.
“We are trying to get Hayden to join us,” Pen said.
Wiatt chuckled, he heard of the comic Heroes of Destiny. It was this new pony comic series that got people hooked like the pony cartoon that aired 10 years ago. He followed the series from time to time.
Mike, who was putting fake pumpkins on the tables, said, “Alyssa and I are going to dress up as characters from Spellmania.” He explained.
Wiatt also heard of Spellmania, like with Heroes of Destiny, he’d follow the series from time to time, but the lore of Spellmania interested him.
“Well…if you want I can partner with you and Alyssa with dressing up?” Wiatt asked.
“Of course!” Mike replied.
Wiatt smiled, and so did his fellow co-workers. “Now we just need to get Hayden!” Andrew exclaimed.
“Nope! I’m not dressing up!” Hayden exclaimed as he walked by looking at his phone.
“Don’t worry I have ways,” Audrey said.
“Should I be worried?” Pen asked. Audrey shook her head in reply. “Okay.”
Wiatt chuckled as he put up more decorations with his co-workers.
Not long after, Alyssa came running by before stopping and seeing her boyfriend and co-workers. “Hey guys!” She beamed.
Mike stopped what he was doing and went over to give his girlfriend a hug and a kiss. “Hey, Lyss. What’s going on?” He asked.
“Well, Lewis pulled me aside and said if we need any props or outfit ideas for costumes we can go to Staract anytime before Halloween,” Alyssa explained.
“Awesome!” Andrew beamed.
Alyssa nodded, “I was thinking before we open, we can take turns looking for costumes.”
“That’s great!” Audrey exclaimed.
“Yeah, Mike, do you want to come with me to find stuff for our costumes?” Alyssa asked.
“Sure,” Mike replied. “Hey, Wiatt! Want to come with us?”
Wiatt looked over at his co-workers who gave him a nod. “Alright, you got it covered guys?” He asked.
“Yep! We got it!” Andrew exclaimed, giving a thumbs up.
Wiatt smiled and went off with his two co-workers to Staract.
At Staract, Starlight was leading the founders to the costume room. He opened the door and looked at three, “well darlings, with the amount of costumes in here I’m sure you’ll find a costume!” Starlight beamed. “Although, why don’t you three go to a costume store?”
“Well, when we were growing up, the three of us always made our costumes. Thanks to me!” Lewis explained, pointing at himself.
“Plus, costume stores don’t carry good costumes anymore,” Oliver added.
“And we’re not wearing cheap knock-off costumes.” Sara finished.
Starlight nodded taking in the opinions from the founders. “Understandable.” He said. “Do you guys know what you’ll dress up as?”
The founder trio looked at each other, before replying back to Starlight. “No clue.” They said at the same time.
“Well, I’ll be getting ready for my performance for today’s show. You three have fun okay?” Starlight explained.
“Okay!” The founder trio replied.
Starlight smiled and left the stage to start practicing for today’s show.
Lewis, Sara, and Oliver went through the many costumes in the dressing room, but weren’t sure what to wear. “We can do animals again,” Oliver suggested.
“Darling we did that back in high school for Carly’s 8th birthday,” Lewis replied. “Sure it would be fun, but I figured we do something new this year.”
“Okay,” Oliver replied as he kept looking.
“We could dress as the animatronics?” Sara suggested.
Lewis felt uneasy about it, but Oliver thought about it. “It would make sense since this is our first Halloween event,” Oliver replied.
“Y-Yeah.” Lewis added, chuckling nervously. “I mean it would be fun.”
Oliver was confused as to why Lewis sounded uneasy about the suggestion, but continued to find his costume. The trio spent a couple of minutes looking for outfits, until Lewis found a cape and came up with an idea. He put the cape on before looking for an outfit to complete his costume. Looking through the clothes he found the perfect outfit to complete his costume.
“Darlings, I have found the perfect costume!” Lewis announced. His friends paused searching for their costumes and saw the costume Lewis picked out. “I’m going as a vampire!”
“Oooh nice!” Sara commented. She then discovered a white coat and put it on. “What do you think? Doctor or scientist?”
Lewis and Oliver looked at one another before answering their friend. “Scientist.” They said at the same time.
Sara sighed, “alright,” She replied.
Oliver was the only one who hadn’t found a costume yet. He kept on looking until he went to the box filled with masks. Oliver dug through the box and smirked finding his costume.
“Found it!” Oliver beamed.
“You found a costume darling?” Lewis asked.
Oliver nodded and put on the mask. “Gah! I’m gonna kill you!” He yelled, wearing a hockey mask belonging to a killer role.
Sara and Lewis looked at one another not phased.
Oliver blinked in confusion and tried to scare them again. “Gah! I’m gonna kill you!” He repeated.
Sara yawned as Lewis still looked unphased. “You're going as a hockey player?” Lewis asked.
“No!” Oliver yelled, moving the mask from his face. “I’m going to be a crazy killer with a mask and a weapon!”
Sara chuckled, “Oliver, as your friend I’m going to be honest with you. You're not scary.”
Oliver glared. “Hey I can be scary!” He yelled in defense.
“Yeah right!” Sara replied.
Oliver was about to defend himself again, only for him and his friends to hear the door of Staract open and voices coming by. Oliver smirked at his friends. “Watch and learn.” He said, putting the mask back on. “Do you have a weapon?”
Sara dug into her pocket and pulled out a knife. “Here you go.”
Oliver nodded and took the knife before walking off to find and scare who just entered the Staract.
“That was a fake knife, right darling?” Lewis asked.
“What fake knife?” Sara asked,
Lewis’s eyes widened, “you didn’t.”
“I did.”
Wiatt, Mike and Alyssa entered Staract and were making their way backstage. “So have you figured out which Spellamania character you want to be?” Mike asked.
Wiatt thought for a bit, “out of all of them my favorite is Noir, so I might go as him.” He replied.
“That’s a great choice! I’ll be going as Ro because she’s so cute!” Alyssa exclaimed.
“And I’ll be going as Solo because he’s cool and I haven’t dressed as him before,” Mike added.
As the three went backstage, Oliver then jumped in front of Wiatt, Mike, and Alyssa letting out a growl while holding the knife. Wiatt and Mike flinched, while Alyssa punched Oliver in the throat. Oliver coughed holding his throat as he moved the mask from his face.
Alyssa realized her mistake and covered her mouth in shock. “Oh shit! I’m so sorry Oliver!” She apologized.
“I-It’s fine.” Oliver coughed. “I-I thought people were exaggerating… that you were strong Alyssa, but… they weren’t.”
“Again I’m so sorry!” Alyssa repeated.
“What’s going on?!” Lewis yelled as he and Sara came out from the costume room to see Wiatt, Mike Alyssa, and Oliver on the ground holding his neck.
Lewis and Sara scanned the scene and looked at Mike. “Let me guess, Oliver tried to scare you?” Lewis asked.
“Yep,” Mike replied.
“And Alyssa punched him in the neck?” Sara asked.
“Yep,” Wiatt replied.
Lewis went over to Oliver and helped him up, “you okay darling?” He asked.
“Y-Yeah.” Oliver gasped. He took a deep breath and let out. “Okay, I can breathe.”
Alyssa breathed a sigh of relief seeing Oliver wasn’t hurt.
“What are you three doing here?” Sara asked. “Aren’t you supposed to set up the Halloween decorations?”
“We were,” Wiatt spoke up, “but Mike and Alyssa brought me here to find stuff for our costumes.”
Lewis smiled as he went to his boyfriend and held his hand, “your dressing up darling?” He asked.
Wiatt nodded, “figured I haven’t done it in a while, plus everyone else was dressing up and it convinced me to do it too.” He explained.
“Amazing! What are you dressing up as?” Lewis asked.
“At first I wasn’t sure, then Mike came by and asked me if I could join his and Alyssa’s group and dress up as Spellmania characters.”
Sara’s eyes widened as she let out a snicker, “wait you three are dressing up as those sparkle dogs from that popular comic series?” She asked.
Mike and Alyssa glared, but Wiatt smirked, “Sara, didn't you read the comic, collect the plushies, and  commission someone to draw your own Spellmania sona?” He asked.
Sara blushed in embarrassment, turning to Lewis. “You promised to keep that a secret!”
“Hey Wiatt is my boyfriend, so I have the right to tell him everything, darling.” Lewis replied.
Sara growled and glared at her best friend.
“Wait,” Mike spoke up. “You like Spellmania too?”
Sara blushed in embarrassment and nodded. “Y-Yes. I like the characters, they are so cute!” She beamed.
“You said that about the ponies in Heroes of Destiny.” Oliver pointed out.
Sara growled and glared at her friend, “shut up Oliver!” Oliver flinched protecting himself from Sara’s anger.
“Sorry.” He apologized.
Wiatt chuckled, “I didn’t know you were a fangirl, Sara Covetman.”
Sara grabbed Wiatt by the collar of his shirt in one hand, while she had her other hand into a fist. “Want to say that again, Nicholson?” She threatened.
Lewis quickly stepped in and removed Sara’s hand from his boyfriend’s shirt. “Alright, settle down darlings.” He said.
Sara and Wiatt calmed down, but the two still glared at each other. Wiatt then noticed his boyfriend’s costume and smiled. “Nice costume.”
Lewis didn’t realize he was still wearing his cape for his costume. “Oh thanks, darling.” He said with a blush.
Wiatt smiled, “I’m guessing you're going as a phantom, Oliver is going as a hockey player, and Sara is going as an asylum doctor.”
Lewis and his friends glared at the mechanic. “I’m going as a vampire darling.” He replied.
“Psycho killer,” Oliver added.
“Mad scientist,” Sara added.
“Close enough,” Wiatt said, giving a shrug.
“What characters from Spellmania are you dressing up as?” Sara asked.
“I’m going as Solo,” Mike replied.
“I’ll be Row,” Alyssa said.
“And I’ll be going as Noir,” Wiatt added.
“Awesome darlings!” Lewis beamed. “Well, come inside the costume room, there’s plenty of outfits that could help your costume.”
Wiatt and his friends smiled and walked in as they went to look for their costumes.
Starlight then came in from behind the Founder Trio. “So did you guys find your costumes?” He asked.
“We did!” Lewis beamed.
“Great! Now the animatronics and I have been discussing some ideas on what we can do for this Halloween party, and we got a ton of ideas!” Starlight explained as he pulled out a list that touched the ground.
The founder's eyes widened seeing how long the list was. “Oh boy.” They groaned at the same time.
It's Halloween, and after some fun Halloween events during the month, the big day has finally arrived. The founder trio were putting on their costumes, with Lewis in the bathroom, putting on makeup to get the vampire look. Once he was done, he grabbed the fake vampire teeth he bought and put it inside his mouth.
“Hehehe.” Lewis chuckled, as he brought the cape close to his face.
A knock was heard, causing Lewis to turn. “Come in, darling.” He said, speaking in an eastern European accent.
The door opened revealing Oliver wearing brown overalls over a dark orange t-shirt, brown shoes, and the mask he found on the side of his head. “Do you have anything red I can borrow? I want to add fake blood to the costume.”
“Hmm…” Lewis thought. “I think Sara has red paint in her room.”
Oliver smiled, “thanks, Lewis.” He said before leaving the bathroom. He went over to Sara’s room and knocked on the door. “Sara, could I borrow red paint from you?”
“Sure, give me a second,” Sara replied through the other side of the door.
Sara just put her lab coat on and went under her bed to grab her paint kit and found a tube of red paint for Oliver. She went to the door and opened it, giving the paint to Oliver. She then saw his costume and had to comment.
“Without the mask, you look like a farmer,” Sara said.
Oliver glared and was ready to squirt paint at her, causing Sara to retreat to her room and closing the door to protect herself.
Oliver chuckled and squirted some paint on his costume to create fake blood splatter. “Perfect.” He then put the tube of paint down and put his mask on.
Lewis came out of the bathroom and smiled, “you guys ready?” He asked.
“I am!” Oliver exclaimed.
“Hold on!” Sara yelled, causing her friends to turn to her room. She came out of her room wearing her costume, sporting a pair of goggles and dark boots. Her hair was tied to a bun, but there were a few strands sticking out. “Okay ready!”
The Founder Trio then left their apartment hopped into Sara’s car, and drove to the facility.
Upon arriving at the facility, they see Eric, Carly, Wiatt, Mike, and Alyssa already inside and in their costumes.
Eric wasn’t wearing a costume, but he wore a variant of his usual hoodie, which was orange with a pumpkin on it.
Carly wore a ladybug-inspired 80’s outfit with her roller skates, and her hair styled in two puffy buns and a sweatband.
Wiatt’s Noir costume had him wearing a gold t-shirt over a black jacket, a green bandana around his neck, black pants that he painted gold, and black goes with gold laces. He also colored his with red, orange, and gold colors thanks to some hair color spray. He also sported a pair of black dog ears.
Alyssa’s Row costume had her wearing a tan colored dress with multi-colored flowers on the bottom of it, and brown shoes with pink colored lace on the left and blue colored lace on the right. She wore a green, blue, and pink wig with a pair of brown dog ears.
Mike’s Solo costume had him wear a green t-shirt, dark green pants, miss-matched socks, red wings, and a multi-colored tail. He wore a teal, yellow, and dark blue wig and green dog ears.
Lewis’s eyes widened seeing his boyfriend in his costume. “Wow, darling you look…look…” he trailed off trying to find the best word to describe his costume.
“Amazing darling?” Wiatt asked, mimicking Lewis’s accent.
Lewis glared as Wiatt chuckled seeing his reaction over using his accent on him. Soon Lewis grabbed his boyfriend and gave him a bunch of kisses on the cheek.
“Gah! Lewis!” Wiatt exclaimed, laughing.
Lewis stopped giving his boyfriend kisses and gave him a smirk. “What? you deserve it.” He replied before kissing his boyfriend more.
Sara and Oliver chuckled before turning to Eric and Carly. “I’m surprised you didn’t dress up Eric. You loved dressing up.” Oliver said.
“Funny thing, I couldn’t find a good costume and I ended up forgetting. Luckily I had this so I’m still in the spirit.” Eric explained.
Oliver chuckled, “where are Ben and Liz?” He asked.
“They’re here, just hiding in hopes to scare someone.” Eric replied.
“Ah,” Oliver replied. He smirked and chuckled, hoping to scare his siblings first before they did.
“So, Carly?” Sara asked. “I see you've decided to be a ladybug roller skater.”
“Yep! I wanted to be a ladybug one last time before I turned 14 and I figured I got creative.” Carly explained. “So I went as an 80's roller skater ladybug edition.”
“Awesome!” Sara beamed.
Soon Sara was tackled to the ground by an unknown blurr. She almost panicked till she heard a familiar chuckle. She looked behind her to see James, dressed as a pirate.
“Hi, Miss Sara!” James exclaimed.
Sara sighed, “Hi James.” She said, relieved. “Don’t tackle me like that again.”
“Sorry!” James apologized as he got off her.
“You’re fine,” Sara said as she got up. There she saw James' other brothers in their costumes. John was a wolf wearing a pair of wolf ears and tail while Jake was a ghost, but by the looks of it Jake’s costume had one too many holes.
“Like our costumes?” John masked.
“They look amazing darling!” Lewis exclaimed. “Although, what happened with your costume, Jake?”
Jake chuckled, as he lifted up the sheet. “I had trouble with the scissors.”
“Still it looks familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it.” Eric said, trying to figure out where Jake’s costume came from.
Soon the door to the facility opened and Hayden was heard complaining as Pen, Lisa and Audrey came in their costumes, which were the characters from the comic Heroes of Destiny.
Pen was dressed as Prince Castor, Lisa, and Audrey were dressed as Lullaby and Summer, finally, Hayden was dressed as Prince Oberon. Their outfits were similar to the ones the characters wore in the comics, as well as a pair of pony ears and tail.
Wiatt and Sara chuckled seeing Hayden dressed as the “Prince of Darkness.” The grumpy worker glared at his boss and co-worker, which made them stop chuckling.
“Wow! Hayden your costume is great!” Andrew beamed. He wore a bat costume, which confused Lewis.
“Uh, are you a vampire darling?” Lewis asked.
Andrew shook his head, “nope, just a regular bat, like you Lewis.” He replied.
Lewis gave a small glare to his co-worker, “I’m a vampire, darling.”
“Tomato, Tomahto.”
“Oliver.” A pair of voices spoke up.
Oliver turned to see his siblings in their costumes. Liz was dressed as Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Ben was the Mad Hatter.
Oliver chuckled, “wow, your costumes are great!” He beamed.
“Thanks! Carly helped us pick it out!” Liz beamed, as she twirled around in her costume.
“I love your killer costume Oliver,” Ben commented. “But…I don’t think anyone would be scared of it.”
Oliver glared. “Hahaha. Very funny.” He replied.
The group started laughing before getting started with work.
The day was normal, except many of the guests were in costumes and having fun as usual. By nighttime, the Starlight Halloween Party started. Eric and Carly took the Walker Triplets, Ben and Liz out to trick or treat at a local shopping center before having them come back to enjoy the rest of the party.
“Wow, your ideas made this party a hit darling!” Lewis exclaimed to Starlight.
“Thank you,” Starlight replied proudly.
“I’m surprised you or the others didn’t wear a costume?”
“Well, it’s hard to get clothes on us,” Starlight said, rubbing the back of his head.
At the party, Oliver smirked, hoping to scare one of his co-workers in his costume. There he saw Audrey, Hayden, and Andrew talking while sipping on some punch.
“This will be an easy scare,” Oliver said as he put on the mask and quietly sneaked up behind them.
Andrew took notice of the taller founder and smiled. “Hey, Oliver!” He beamed.
Oliver froze and groaned, “Andrew!” He yelled.
“What? I was just saying hi.” Andrew replied.
“Were you trying to scare us?” Hayden asked.
Oliver groaned. “Yes.”
Hayden chuckled. “Sorry buddy, but you're not scary.”
Oliver glared at his co-worker. “He’s right,” Audrey replied. “Your costume is cute.” The three then walked away to join their other co-workers who were dancing on the dance floor.
The taller founder was speechless. He wasn’t cute, he was supposed to be scary!
Suddenly, Carly, the triplets, Ben, and Liz came inside the facility looking upset. Liz looked like she was crying as Carly rubbed her back.
“Ben! Liz! What happened?” Oliver asked.
“Some teenage jerks took our candy!” John exclaimed.
Oliver’s eyes widened, “what?!”
“They’re some kids at the local high school who like to mess with the kids at our school,” Carly explained. “Looks like they brought the tricks tonight for Halloween.”
Liz sniffled as she wiped the tears from her eyes, “They took our candy, and when I tried to demand it back they pushed me.” She cried.
“I tried to help her, but those punks pushed me too,” Ben explained.
Oliver growled upset that someone would hurt his younger siblings. He then realized he was in costume and had the best idea he ever came up with. “I’ll be right back.” He said, putting on his mask and walking out the door.
The kids looked at the taller founder and each other. “He’s going to scare them?” Ben and Liz asked at the same time.
“Yep!” The triplets and Carly said at the same time.
Then James had an idea, “I’m going to get someone to help him.” He said, walking off to find someone to help Oliver, however, he went away from the workers and went to the back where the founders’ offices and maintenance room is.
James looked through the window of the maintenance room and smirked seeing the animatronic he was looking for was in there. “Perfect.” He said, opening the door.
Oliver walked for miles looking for the teenagers who stole the candy from his younger siblings and their friends. He heard chuckling coming not far behind as he saw three teenagers scare a group of kids. Not long after they took their candy and put it into a giant bag.
Oliver glared and put on his mask as he got the knife that Sara gave him ready to go and went in front of the teens. “Hey!” Oliver shouted.
“Hey! Move out of the way nerd!” One of the teens yelled.
“You stole candy from my younger siblings! I want it back!”
The teens looked at each other before laughing. “Yeah right. Well, give you back your candy!”
Oliver glared as took the knife from his pocket, which made the teens go quiet. “Wow, a fake knife, good one.” A female teen commented.
What Oliver didn’t notice was footsteps coming up from behind. One of the teens looked to see a shadow with glowing white eyes and white teeth.
“G-Guys.” The teen whimpered to his friends.
“You got three seconds to give me my sibling’s candy back or else…one…” Oliver started.
The teens looked up and shivered seeing the figure behind Oliver. The figure that came to view was Winnie.
“Two…” Oliver held the knife ready to stab the teens.
The teens stepped back as they ran off screaming, leaving the bag of candy behind.
Oliver removed the mask and laughed in glee. “I did it! I did it!” He cheered. “I told everyone I can be scary and I did it!” As he cheered he turned around and froze in fear seeing Winnie.
The Pegasus animatronic smiled as James appeared behind him. “Hi, Mr. Acrimony. I brought a friend to help you scare those big dummies!”
Oliver turned pale as a ghost as he fainted on the spot.
“You're going to carry him right?” James asked Winnie.
Winnie sighed. “I guess I have to!” He groaned. The Pegasus animatronic grabbed the founder, while James carried the bag of candy as the two made it back to the facility.
Back at the facility, Ben and Liz were enjoying the candy that James, Oliver and by extension Winnie saved. Oliver was still passed out as Lewis tried to fan him, in hopes he’d wake up. However, James had to be scolded by Sara and Eric for taking one of the animatronics out into the public.
“James Walker, you know you weren’t supposed to be taking the animatronics out of the facility without my permission!” Sara yelled.
“You could’ve gotten us in trouble or worse!” Eric exclaimed.
James sighed, “I’m sorry Eric, sorry Miss. Covetman. I just wanted our candy back.”
Sara and Eric looked at each other and sighed. “I know, but next time just tell us if something happens. I know how bullies can be, and they can be a pain.” Sara explained giving a small smile.
“Alright!” James replied with a smile. Sara and Eric gave a light chuckle as the female founder ruffled the kid’s head. James chuckled and went to his brothers and friends to enjoy some Halloween candy.

Magia Chap.12- The Sound of Violins
Next chapter, and some more lore drops this time from a new person.
This chapter was beta read the same time as Chapter 11, however I decided to post it tonight then yesterday so you guys can have time enjoying the previous chapter before I dived into this chapter.
Big thanks to my beta reader @gigilefache! Your amazing as always!!
Enjoy!
The following morning, Sara woke up to a text from Oliver telling her to come to the facility as soon as possible. She quickly got changed and drove to the facility as fast as she could. Once making it, she parked her car and texted Oliver.
I’m here.
Sara got out of her car and went inside, the second she started walking she got another text from Oliver.
We’re in the meeting room.
The female founder nodded and made her way to what will be the meeting room for when the founders hold their meetings with their co-workers. Upon entering she saw Oliver and Wiatt sitting down.
“Hey, is something wrong?” Sara asked as she went over to sit with the boys.
“No, nothing is wrong,” Oliver answered.
Sara raised an eyebrow. “Then why did you text me to come in asap?”
“Because,” Wiatt spoke up, “Lewis has been messing around with the gems.”
The female founder’s eyes widened as she let out a groan. “We shouldn’t be messing around with them till we get answers.” She gruffed.
“I know,” Wiatt replied, “but Lewis and I were talking last night, and we decided it’s best we keep our gems with us at all times.”
“It’s better than Wiatt bringing his box around, so I agreed with the idea,” Oliver added.
Sara looked back and forth at the two boys and wasn’t sure about the idea. It was a good one, but it was also risky having the gems out in the open where many employees would see it. Plus with Litho and Winnie still out there, it would give them an easy chance to snatch it. With a sigh, she shared her thoughts.
“I think it’s a good idea too,” Sara revealed. The two boys smiled at the girl’s answer. “But how are we going to keep the gems with us?”
“That’s why Lewis is messing with them,” Oliver replied, “he’s trying to disguise the gems, so no one would question it.”
“How does one disguise a gem?”
The three heard the door open and close, turning to see Lewis holding the box. “Oh, Sara.” He exclaimed. “You came just in time. Did Wiatt and Oliver explain everything to you?”
Sara nodded.
“Well?” Wiatt asked, hoping his boyfriend would come up with something.
“Well, darling. I finally came up with a disguise.” Lewis stated as he opened the box to show the gems were now disguised to look like necklaces.
The gems had a gold chain, and to hold the chain Lewis used gold clay. As a bonus, he added a symbol on top of the gems. For himself, he added a star, for Sara a heart, for Wiatt a diamond, and for Oliver, a lightning bolt.
Lewis’s friends were in awe of his craftsmanship. “Lewis, these look amazing!” Wiatt beamed.
“Thank you darling,” Lewis replied as he handed his friends their gems. As the four put their necklaces on, the unthinkable happened. The necklaces started to glow, causing the quartet’s eyes to glow their respective color and levitate for a bit.
Soon the glow faded, and the four slowly went back to the ground. The gems gained a little bit of color back but still faded. The Dream Quartet looked at one another in shock at what just happened, as their eyes slowly went back to their usual color.
“Okay…” Lewis started. “That was freaky.”
“Very.” Sara agreed.
“Guys! Look!” Wiatt exclaimed looking at his gem. Lewis and the others looked down and saw their gems started gaining color again.
“Okay…this is getting weirder and weirder,” Sara commented. “First they lost color, now their color is coming back.”
“Guess messing with them isn’t a bad thing.” Wiatt pointed out.
Sara turned and glared at the boy. “Yeah because messing with them the first time worked so much better.” She said sarcastically.
Wiatt glared and was ready to say something back, but Lewis stopped him and spoke up.
“Darling, wasn’t it you and Oliver messing with the gems first?” Lewis asked.
“Don’t push it Lewis,” Sara threatened, jabbing Lewis in the chest with her finger.
As Sara and Lewis bickered, Wiatt heard what sounded like a violin. He wondered if it was the speakers playing music, but it wasn’t. “Guys!” Wiatt exclaimed. Lewis, Sara, and Oliver turned to the smaller boy. “Listen.”
Soon, Lewis, Oliver, and Sara heard the violin playing as well.
“You hear that too, right?” Wiatt asked.
The trio nodded, “Lewis, is your phone playing music, again?” Sara asked.
Lewis shook his head “no, darling.” He replied, pulling his phone out of his pocket, showing that nothing was playing.
“Then where’s it coming from?” Sara wondered as she looked around.
The four listened longer and Oliver knew where the source of the sound was coming from, “I know where it is.” He spoke. The others then turned to the taller founder. “Follow me.” The group started to follow Oliver to the source of the music. There, they found the music was coming from what would be the repair room for the animatronics.
Oliver gulped, afraid of what was on the other side. His eyes glowed green as electric sparks appeared in his hands.
Wiatt put his hand on Oliver’s shoulder, making the taller boy turn to face him. Oliver then saw Wiatt’s eyes glowing yellow as he prepared a shield. “Let’s prepare what we’re dealing with, ok?” Wiatt asked.
Oliver nodded in reply.
Wiatt slowly turned the knob ready to open the door, as Oliver was ready to use his powers, and Lewis and Sara held their hands tightly as they stood behind their friends. Wiatt slowly opened the door, and his eyes widened as he saw a kid playing the violin. The mechanic was cautious thinking it could be Litho in disguise or a follower like Winnie. He opened the door wider, holding the shield to protect him and his friends.
The kid paused, playing, “I’ve been waiting on you, Mr. Nicholson.” He spoke.
Wiatt froze feeling his blood run cold. “H-How did you know?”
The kid turned. The group froze seeing the kid turn around. He was a ghost. “I’ve been watching you, all of you.” He made his violin disappear.
“W-Who are you?” Lewis asked, stuttering a bit.
“Pardon me. I’m Alison.” The boy introduced himself, giving a bow.
Sara’s eyes widened recognizing that name, “w-wait. I’ve heard of you, y-your family was one of Litho’s victims.” She explained.
Alison nodded, “I’m impressed you were able to break free from his control, Miss. Covetman.”
The female founder frowned, not deserving praise from the ghost. “I-I still did awful things.” She said not looking at the ghost boy.
“Still, I can sense you're trying to be a good person,” Allison reassured her.
Sara gave a small smile, but she still wasn’t convinced, at least not yet.
Realizing the ghost wasn’t a threat, Wiatt’s eyes go back to normal as his shield fades away. “Alison,” Wiatt spoke up, causing the ghost to face him. “Sara said you're one of Litho’s victims, correct?”
“Correct,” Alison answered.
“Then, do you have any clues about the gems?” Wiatt asked, showing his gem.
Alison looked at the gem and shook his head. “I’m sorry. I don’t know everything other than what Litho told me.” He answered.
“It’s a start,” Lewis spoke up. “Please, tell us what you know darling.”
Alison nodded, “from what Litho told me, these gems were discovered years before I was born.” He started. “They were discovered in a cave far away from here, by someone Litho considered a target.”
Sara’s eyes widened, “Clara.” She revealed.
“So that was her name,” Alison exclaimed while showing no emotion. “Funny, Litho never said her name, all he told me was a girl and her three friends defeated him, only for him to turn into the monster he is today.”
“W-What else did he tell you about her?” Sara asked, wanting to know more about the girl from her visions.
“Not much I’m afraid,” Alison answered. “Litho never liked talking about her.”
Sara sighed, disappointed the ghost didn’t have much info on Clara.
“What else do you know about all this?” Oliver asked.
“When Litho and my family started their contract, we had extended family and friends who tried to get Litho away from us.” Alison continued. “He then made a deal with them that if they were to find the gems, he’d let us go. Sadly, they never found it, and I suffered at the hands of Litho.”
The ghost boy turned away, as memories of his family and friends begging Litho to let them go rang in his mind, as well as their screams as Litho killed them off one by one for failing to find the gems.
Wiatt and the founders frowned upon hearing the story. Sara on the other hand knew that even if someone did bring back the box, Alison and his family still would’ve suffered.
“I think it’s slowly coming together now,” Wiatt said. Sara snapped out of her thoughts as she, Lewis, and Oliver turned to the smaller boy. “From my understanding, Clara is connected with Sara.”
Sara’s eyes widened at that theory.
“We don’t know how you two are connected, but we could believe one of her friends was Cyrus, and you said Cyrus looked like Lewis, correct?”
“Y-Yeah!” Sara replied.
“So it’s quite possible Clara had two other friends connected to me and Oliver.” Wiatt theorized.
Oliver looked surprised, “you think there’s someone like us?” He asked.
Wiatt was able to speak up, but halted. He needed proof to show his theory was correct. “Sara, do you think you can use your powers to be sure?” He asked.
Sara frowned, as she looked at the two boys. She was nervous knowing there was a chance she may see Oliver and Wiatt have a horrible fate. However, she got this far and nodded. “I’ll try.”
She went over to Oliver and put her hand on his shoulder. Sara waited, but nothing was happening. With a sigh she let go of Oliver she went to Wiatt next. She put her hands on his shoulder.
“Well, anything?” Wiatt asked.
Sara frowned when her powers didn’t activate. She let go of Wiatt and stepped back, “I’m sorry.” She said, “Nothing is coming up.
Oliver and Wiatt frowned, seeing they wouldn't prove the theory after all.
Lewis put his hand on her shoulder. “Don’t force yourself darling. It will come on its own time.” He said.
Sara nodded. “It would be nice to know now.”
“I should’ve asked, how did you four come across the jewels?” Alison asked. “Nobody was able to find it for years.”
“I found it at my grandfather’s old mansion, I brought it here and the second we opened it, we got these powers,” Wiatt explained.
“I see,” Alison replied, “from my understanding, this is your destiny.”
The four looked in shock, “d-destiny?” Oliver questioned.
“Clara and three others used the gems before and defeated Litho, now centuries later another four have claimed the gems. Face it, you four are the ones to defeat Litho.” Alison explained.
The four looked at one another before looking at the ghost kid in disbelief. “D-Darling, as much as I’m all into the tropes, I don’t think we’re all for the heroic stuff.”
“Really why is that?” Alison asked.
“We got our ass kicked by Winnie a few days ago!” Wiatt exclaimed.
“Oh right, but I know you four can do this,” Alison reassured them. “Your souls are different from any other human being.”
“Well, they are protected by the gems.” Lewis pointed out.
Alison shook his head. “No I believe it’s more than that.” He said before fading away.
“W-Wait!” Wiatt exclaimed, but before he could grab them, Alison was gone. The group was left shocked and confused.
Was it really fate and not just an accident?

Magia Chap.11- The Research Squad
Next chapter! We’re going to be focusing on Damien’s research squad! It’s a short chapter, but it’s fitting since it’s another chill one.
Big thanks to my beta reader @gigilefache Your amazing buddy!!
Enjoy!
Damien drove to the local library as  soon as he finished his phone call with Celio. He made it there early, like always, and now was waiting for their sibling and their friend to arrive so they could research those gems Wiatt had found. While he waited, he looked through his notes about the gems before hearing a horn honk.
The Ghost Eye detective looked up seeing a dark blue car pull up into the parking lot and smiles recognizing the car. When the person got out, Damien put his notes in his pocket as his sibling walked over to him.
“You're here early as always,” Celio said.
Damien chuckled, “you know me.”
Celio chuckled in reply.
“So you said you brought a friend?” Damien asked.
“I have.” They replied.
The second they said it, the car door opened on the other side of the car, revealing Eric Gale. Damien’s ghost eye glowed brighter as the other man’s soul overwhelmed him.
“Damien, meet Eric Gale.” Celio introduced, “Sara’s former professor and engineer for Dreamworld.”
“Nice to meet you,” Damien said, holding his hand out.
Eric took his hand and shook it, “nice to meet you too.” He replied.
The two stopped the handshake as Damien looked up at the library, “I heard you used to work here?” He asked.
Eric nodded. “I have,” He replied. “This library has everything about the town like who founded the town and all the happenings in this town throughout history.”
“Well,” Damien chuckled, “glad my sibling knows people.” He gave Celio a playful shove.
Celio playful shoves their brother causing the two to laugh. Eric chuckled too, and the trio started to walk inside the library.
SLAM!
The three adults stopped and flinched from the loud slam as they turned to see not only Ben and Liz but Carly as well.
“Ben!” Liz shouted.
“Sorry,” Ben replied.
“Ben, Liz, Carly!” Eric exclaimed. “What are you three doing here?!”
“We want to join in on the investigation too,” Carly replied.
Eric’s eyes widened as he stuttered trying to find the words to tell his daughter no.
“Yeah! You never told us our big brother got superpowers!” Liz exclaimed. “So…”
“We want to help,” Ben added.
Damien was in shock seeing children had snuck into his sibling’s car. “Uh…w-who are they?”
“Damien, Celio, this is my daughter Carly Gale and her best friends Ben and Liz Acrimony.” Eric introduced them.
“Are you two related to Oliver?” Damien asked.
“Yep!” Ben and Liz exclaimed at the same time.
“We overheard everything that happened to our brother.” Ben started.
“So we called Carly, told Oliver we’re going to hang out with her, and while Mr. Gale was talking with Dr. Klein…” Liz explained.
“We snuck into the backseat of the car.” Carly finished explaining.
The adult trio had their mouths dropped in shock seeing these three were sneaky enough to get into Celio’s car without being detected. Eric sighed. Look kiddos, this is grown-up stuff. You shouldn’t be involved in this.” He stated.
“Hey! If something is up with our brother, we need to be involved in this!” Ben exclaimed proudly pointing at himself, his sibling, and his best friend.
Eric was about to speak up till his daughter spoke, “plus I downloaded this from the security cameras.” Carly then opened her photos from her phone and showed her dad and the two adults video footage of the fight Wiatt and the others had with Winnie.
“H-How did you?” Eric asked.
“Oliver taught me things that you don’t know of, Dad,” Carly replied.
Eric frowned and crossed his arms, “I’m sorry you three, but you can’t help, and that’s final.” He said sternly.
The three kids sighed, but something came up causing them to look at each other with a smirk.
“Alright, but…” Ben started.
“How do we get home, Dad?” Carly finished crossing her arms.
Eric’s eyes widened realizing he was picked up and it was too late to drop them off at his place. He looked at the Klein siblings who shrugged giving Eric the choice what to do.
“Fine…you can help.” Eric sighed.
“YES!” The Acrimony siblings and Carly cheered.
“Remember this is a library so don’t be too loud or make a mess.” Eric reminded them.
The kid trio nodded as they followed the adults inside the library. Once inside, they saw how quiet it was and there weren't many people other than a lady at the counter, and two high school students studying for finals.
Eric was saddened as he remembered the library having tons more people than this. “Man, things have changed around here.”
“Yeah, didn’t this place have more people in here?” Carly asked.
“Well, not a lot of people visit libraries anymore,” Ben answered.
Carly let out a low growl, “I still visit libraries.” She responded.
“Egghead.” Ben whispered to his twin sister. However, Liz didn’t like that and punched Ben in the arm. “Gah!”
“Don’t call her that.” Liz chastised her brother.
“Shh! Quiet!” The three adults whispered at the same time.
The Acrimony twins shrunk down, “sorry.” They apologized at the same time.
The three adults sighed and continued to focus on the situation at hand. “Okay, Eric, where would be the best place to look?” Damien asked.
Eric thought for a bit, but let out a sigh. “I haven’t worked here for so long so I wouldn’t be too sure.”
“Don’t worry Dad, I got you covered,” Carly said, “If anything, we can check the arts and artifacts section or the history section.”
It then clicked in Eric’s head. “Oh yeah. Thanks Carly,” He replied ruffling her hair.
“Dad!” Carly sighed, playfully pushing his hand away.
Ben chuckled, “egg-“ he paused seeing his sister was about to punch him again for calling their friend an egghead. To not get punched by his sister again he gave a sheepish smile and defended himself.
“Good.” Liz hissed.
“Okay, Carly, Ben and Liz you check the arts and artifacts while me, Celio, and Damien check the history section,” Eric stated.
“Got it!” The kids responded.
The three groups separated and went to grab as many books as they could. Once they got enough, they went to the table and read through the books. The kids turned page after page, before finding nothing and going through another book.
The adults on the other hand were reading through the history of the town but found nothing that connected with the box.
After going through about ten different books Ben went to the shelf and pulled out another book, and soon another book that was hidden fell on the floor. The younger twin looked down and went to pick up the book that fell.
From the looks of it, the book looked old and a bit dusty from how long it was hidden. On the cover it showed some weird artifacts, but one caught Ben’s eye. It was the jewelry box Wiatt held.
“Girls, check this out.” Ben said. Liz and Carly looked up from reading and went over to the boy, who showed them the book, and pointed at the jewelry box on the cover.“Is this what you're looking for?”
Carly’s eyes widened, “y-yeah! That’s Wiatt’s box!” She exclaimed. The trio went over to the adults and put the book down at the table, getting their attention.
“Found it!” Ben and Liz beamed.
“Shhh!” The patrons of the library hushed.
“Sorry.” The twins apologized.
The adults looked at the book as Damien pulled it close to him. He looked at the jewelry box on the cover and back at the notes he took of it and nodded. “Yep, it’s the one.” He confirmed.
“How did you find it?” Celio asked.
“It was hidden. I pulled out a book from the shelf and this one was hidden deep into the shelf.” Ben explained.
“Well, glad we’re getting somewhere,” Eric said.
Carly then sat down and pulled the book closer to her. “Mr. Klein, do you have a spare notebook?” She asked.
Damien nodded and went to his bag and pulled out a purple composition notebook, pen and handed it to the older girl.
“Why do you need a notebook, ladybug?” Eric asked.
“I want to take notes to give to Wiatt and the others,” Carly answered. She opened the notebook, clicked the pen and opened the book, hoping to find the page about Wiatt’s jewelry box. She flipped through the pages till she found the page with the jewelry box.
“There, the…Somni…Somu…” Carly tried to read.
Damien leaned in and pronounced it to the 13-year-old, “Somnium Box.”
Carly smiled, “The Somnium Box was created sometime between the late 1700’s and early 1800’s.” She read. “The jewels in the box were found by a young woman named Clara Brooke, however she kept the secrets of the jewels classified.”
With what she read, Carly wrote down the important parts of the book. As she wrote, the rest of the group theorized about the Somnium Box.
“Hmm…Somnium is Latin for Dream. Maybe it has connections with the location of Dreamworld.” Eric theorized.
“It makes sense. Didn’t the box open and that’s how Lewis and the others got their powers?” Carly asked, looking up from the notebook.
“You're right, ladybug.”
Carly smiled and kept on writing in the notebook. As she wrote, Liz decided to read the rest of the book, “it says when the box was found, the gems were supposed to bring luck and ward off evil.”
Odd, nothing about the gems having powers.” Ben pointed out.
“Clara did keep the gems classified, maybe she knew what powers they held, but bringing up this stuff during that time period was…risky,” Carly explained.
Liz turned the pages, but saw nothing else about the Somnium Box. “That’s it?” She asked. “There’s got to be more!”
Liz and Ben put the book down and went to the shelves to see if they could find more hidden books, but no luck. They sighed and sat down defeated.
“Hey, don’t feel bad,” Carly said, putting her hand on top of Liz’s. The twins looked up at their friend, “what we have now is enough.”
Liz and Ben smiled at their friend glad what they discovered was enough.
“Well, we could keep looking, but…” Damien paused looking outside, seeing the sun starting to set. “It’s starting to get late.”
“Think we can meet up again next week?” Carly asked.
Eric sighed. “Maybe next week we should have the adults meet up.” He suggested.
“But Dad, I got notes here.”
The engineer sighed and looked at the two other adults in the room. “I don’t mind them coming along,” Celio said.
“Same, it may make this faster,” Damien added.
“Well…” Eric trailed off. He looked at his daughter and her friends who gave him the biggest puppy eyes in the world. “I guess you three can help us.”
The three were ready to cheer till the Klein siblings gave them a warning glare. They realized this and nodded. “Thank you Mr. Gale.” Liz said, politely.
“Thank you Dad.” Carly added.
Eric smiled. “Well, we should get going.”
Carly nodded as she closed the notebook and held it. She and the twins followed Eric back to Celio’s car with Damien right behind them. As the group left the library a picture dropped on the shelf where Ben found the book.
The photo in question showed the face of Clara, and her appearance strikingly resembled the founder of Dreamworld: Sara Covetman.
