ik i literally made this post on my other blog but literally why and how are ppl STILL mischaracterizing homura in year 2024 😭

like, there is nothing wrong w disliking or even hating her, that’s obv ur opinion, but there’s a difference between having a genuine opinion on a character, and then mischaracterizing and misinterpreting them and basing your opinion on that.

like, i’ve deadass seen the WORST takes on homura since i’ve been a fan, which has been for YEARS.

“homura is abusive and wants madoka all to herself”

“homura could have just gone w/ madoka to ‘heaven’ ”

“homura cares about nobody but madoka”

like, hello?? 😭 did you even WATCH rebellion? did you even pay attention to it?

THIS 😭 madoka is literally such a wonderful character in her own right and she deserves wayyyy more attention than she gets.

she is WAY more complex than she’s given credit for.

I don’t know how to put this but…honestly, it feels like some people in the pmmm fandom see madoka as nothing more than extension of homura…? Like don’t get me wrong, I love madohomu and I think their dynamic is very interesting.

no, my problem is with people who don’t see madoka is an inherently important character to the story and only see her as interesting and important because she’s important to homura.

does that sound right????
