Bruh I was thinking about it and It made me like so sad thinking about the fact that the first time Madia ever refers to her father as 'dad' and not just his name is when she's pleading with him to change his ways and use the position of power he is in to make a positive change for the betterment of the world so she won't have to die as a symbol of the need for change while she fully knows her father is not willing to make this change and that her death is the only thing that can convince people to make the change that is necessary, so for the first time in her life she wants to continue living it but has to give it up to be a symbol for change knowing full well her father could change her fate but chooses not to because of how strict his own morals and values are but she needs to beg him to save her, to give her an opportunity to live as his daughter because of the small sliver of hope in her soul that he loves her enough to change but knowing full well that will only ever be wishful thinking.

And then I had to stop being sad for a moment to realise that this is my own book I'm thinking about. I wrote this, I am sad over a story decision I made. So bit of an idiot move there but it gave me a bit of a laugh soo, win?
