synopsis: in which Rafe doesnât prove to be the biggest asshole around
a/n: based on this request!
my masterlist
The island was quiet, only the crashing waves breaking the eerie silence of the night.
It was late - much later than you had planned on staying at the bar. You didnât go out often, especially not this late, but an invitation from your girlfriends to go to the bar and a couple of shots later, here you were.
Battery dead, walking home in the middle of the night.
It might have been because you hated walking alone, or because of the sketchy streets, but your skin prickled with unease and tension.
You tried to tighten your jacket around you in a desperate attempt to soothe your worries, but it was useless. The tense feeling wouldnât go away.
Someone was watching you.
You kept your head down, cautious yet very fast steps carrying you closer and closer to home.
Only a couple more minutes and then youâre home. Youâve got this.
You kept telling yourself that as you navigated through the streets, but suddenly stopped dead in your tracks when you saw a group of men sitting on a bench, exactly across the street from where you were supposed to go just now.
The voice in your head was very adamant, turn around and find another way home, but there was no other way to get to your house.
Sighing and gritting your teeth, you began walking again, not sparing the men a glance in hope that they would just ignore you and leave you alone.
That thought and hope went out the window as soon as you were passing in front of them.
A high-pitched wolf-whistle broke the otherwise quiet night, making you stiffen and almost stop in your tracks.
"Hey sweetheart, pretty late to be out and about all on your own" one of the men called out, laughing at the end of his sentence.
"You want some company?" another one said.
"Come on, don't be shy now" a third chimed in.
A feeling of panic and fear settled heavily in your chest. You were thinking about a way to respond, to say anything to get rid of those assholes, but a voice stopped you from doing so.
"She's not interested" the voice said, rough and edged with a warning of what might happen if they didn't get the hint.
You froze, slowly turning around to see who had jumped to your rescue from the shadows. And your shock was even greater when the figure finally stepped into the light, revealing the last person you had thought you were going to see.
Rafe Cameron.
"Who the hell are you, man?" one of the men called out again, not moving from their spot on the benches.
"Doesn't matter who I am. She's not interested, so you're going to leave her alone or you'll have to deal with me" he replied, his tone low and dangerous.
It was the way he said it that made the men finally slink off into the night and leave you alone.
The street fell quiet again, which allowed you to let out a breath you hadn't realized you had been holding.
"Are you okay?" Rafe asked, his voice much softer now, as he turned around to look at you.
"Yeah, I think so" you nodded, even though your voice was shaky and your hands were trembling. "Thank you"
He shrugged his shoulders, like what he did was the most natural thing in the world.
"It's nothing. You shouldn't be walking out here alone at night, it's dangerous in this part of town" he said, his eyes remaining on you.
"I know, but I don't have much of a choice. This is the only way home and my phone died, so I couldn't call a cab" you explained.
"Where do you live?" he asked, his tone direct, but still gentle.
You hesitated, your mind wary. He was Rafe Cameron, and his reputation very well preceded him, but after all, he had just saved you from a very uncomfortable situation. And the walk towards your house only got sketchier.
"Near the south docks" you finally replied, making him nod.
"I'll walk you" he said, falling into step with you, his hands stuffed into the front pockets of his jeans.
The silence between the two of you was awkward at first, neither of you saying anything. But as the minutes passed, you found yourself sneaking glances at the Cameron boy. He didn't seem dangerous or crazy as people had claimed him to be, he was... normal.
"You don't have to walk me home, you know" you said after a little while, breaking the awkward silence.
"Yeah, I do" he replied, his tone neutral.
"Why? You don't even know me" you pointed out.
He shrugged, the corners of his mouth threatening to turn into a faint smirk.
"I don't like seeing people get pushed around" he said.
It was a very simple and straightforward answer, but the fact that it came from Rafe Cameron was the big surprise.
You had heard many stories about Rafe Cameron from different people on the island, but none of those matched the Rafe Cameron currently walking you home to make sure nothing happened to you.
By the time you had reached your house, the tension between the two of you had slowly disappeared and the heaviness on your chest had eased.
"Thanks again, for saving me and walking me home" you said as you stopped in front of the house.
"Get inside safe, okay?" he said, his eyes finding yours.
You nodded, smiling a little.
"I'll see you around" you said before turning around and walking towards your front door, stealing one last look at him before entering the house.
Maybe the island didn't know Rafe as well as they thought.
Maybe they were wrong about him, after all.

Ever since you picked up your daughter, thereâs been a hovering presence that wouldnât go away no matter where you went. From the park, to the grocery store, all the way home it clung to you like a bad itch. Despite looking over your shoulder and being met without any sort of threat, that didnât stop the uneasy feeling. And it only intensified when you received a knock on your front door.
You made a confused hum, checking the time on the microwave to confirm that it was indeed past the reasonable hour for potential visitors. Not to mention, you werenât expecting anyone.
The hairs on the back of your neck stood up, instincts telling you that something wasnât right, that your best option was to pretend you werenât home. However, the person on the other side knew otherwise as they knocked on the door again, this time with more fervor. You inhaled sharply, taking hesitant steps towards the door until you were mere feet away from it. Eventually, you worked up the courage to look through the peephole, your brows furrowing in distress when all you could see was blackâThey were covering it. All the more reason not to open the doorâŠ
What if itâs a robber? Ridiculous, they donât knock.
What if itâs just the neighbor? Why cover the peephole?
More and more did your mind swirl with endless possibilities, each one becoming less and less believable. Taking a long, deep breath, you doubled-checked the door-chain was on before slowly cracking it open. And as you attempted to peek through the sliver, nothing couldâve prepared you for the arm that forced its way through, startling you as you yelped, stumbling back as it made a grab at you.
Before you had the thought of shoving the door closed on the offenderâs arm they grabbed the little chain, then yanked it clean out of the wall. To your terror, a dark hooded figure entered your home, head hung low, concealing their identity.
You began to hyperventilate, backing up to keep distance as they staggered further into your home before kicking the door closed behind them, effectively blocking you from the exit. Surely, someone heard your scream and would check in, or call the police. But, how long did you have before the intruder decided to make a move? Not to mention, your sleeping child just down the hallâŠ
With that last thought in mind, you immediately steeled your nerves.
Even if you had to use your bare hands, you were going to do whatever it took to keep your baby out of harms way.
You reached for the closest weapon without taking your eyes off the figure, hands clasping onto a discarded umbrella that was leaned up against a closet door. It wasnât ideal, but it would have to do. Taking a defensive stance, you prepared for what you assumed to be the inevitable.
âI-I donât know who you are, or what you wantâŠb-but if you donât leaveâŠmy..my boyfriend will be home any minute! H-He knows how to fight, and heâll fuck you up if you try anything!â
Your means of intimation fall on deaf ears. It were as if you hadnât spoken at all. They justâŠstood there. Watching you from the darkness. That feeling, that hovering presence youâd been weary about all eveningâŠthere was no doubt in your mind it was because of this individual. Suddenly, they gave a watery chuckle, hand coming up to rub the lower half of their face as the chilling noise dissipated into soft snickers.
You sweatdropped. âI mean it! Heâll be here real soon, so you better get out of here before-â
â[_____]âŠâ the figure finally rasped, voice heavy with an emotion you couldnât decipher in the moment. You froze, eyes widening.
ââŠHow the hell do you know my name?â
Without much urgency, they stepped forward into the light. Beneath the warm glow, it took you mere seconds to recognize the person standing before you. You gasped, trembling hands dropping the umbrella, it landing with a harsh clatter. Soft, mortified hitches in your breath echoed through the small space, memories flashing before your eyes as you covered your gaping mouth.
âM.. Ma..â you whimpered, throat tightening. A shell of a man, who gazed upon you with stormy eyes flooded with tears at the mere sight of you.
He gave another strained laugh, muttering to himself as he soaked you all in. âNeeded to know.. Needed to know it was really youâŠâ
Mikey eyed you up, intensely, eerily silent as he did so. Then, he took in the surroundings, the warmth, the interior, the smell of dinnerâIt truly felt like a home. A bitter pill to swallow once he reminded himself that you built it without him.
His sharp gaze returned to your stunned expression. He sneered.
âMustâve been easy for you. To forget me and move on, just like that. Like I was nothing.â
You blinked, taken aback. All you could do was remain speechless, cemented to the ground with thoughts and questions racing in your head. Now matter how many times you opened your mouth, no sound would come out aside from choked whimpers.
âDo you knowâŠhow long Iâd been searching for you? Been mourning for you?â He hissed through clenched teeth. âWhen you left, I thought⊠I thought someone had taken you. That I lost you all because I was too stubborn to say Iâm sorryâŠâ
As he spoke, Mikey slowly closed the space between you. The more he came into the light, the more you could see how the years had treated him. His cheekbones were more pronounced, the dark circles under his eyes as well. His lips were dry, cracked, his fair skin now ghoulishly pale. If not for the black hoodie you wouldâve mistaken him as such; ghost of your past.
Your shoulders shook, hands hovering over your face as you gaped in disbelief. Heâd been looking for you?
That night, that stupid fight you could barely rememberâŠhe made it crystal clear that he wanted nothing to do with you. He pushed you away. Pushed so hard that you almost believed he really wouldnât have cared if you dropped dead. You knew he didnât mean it, knew it was just another dark impulseâŠbut none of that mattered when all your pregnancy tests came back positive just hours prior.
That night, you made the decision for the sake of your daughter. And also, for his sake. At the time, you were certain he wasnât ready to be a father. He was quick to rage, merciless, losing himself to the darkness you tried to protect him from. If you had stayed, you were certain Mikey wouldâve never forgiven himself if he lost control in front of his own flesh and blood, if the child grew to resent him for something he struggled to control.
You thought you were doing him a favorâŠbut it appears to have done the opposite.
âAnd this whole timeâŠyouâve been here, alive. Playing fucking house with someone else.â
You stiffened. Someone else? Your visible confusion only irritated him further.
He scoffed. âDonât play dumb. You said it yourself. Too bad he wonât be coming home anytime soon. Iâve already got Sanzu and the Haitanis looking around for the bastard. And when they find him, Iâll make him regret sticking his filthy dick inside you.â
Confusion morphed into realization. You did threaten him with said hypothetical boyfriendâŠBut, that was before you knew it was him!
âOh, ManjiroâŠâ you whispered. He glared, scorned.
âDonât you dare pity me. I mean, you got the family you always wanted, right? So who cares who it was with, right? Congratu-fucking-lations.â
You shook your head, exhaling deeply as you held your face in your hands. For years, he thought you dead. Then, when he received word of your appearance, he finds you with child. And not once did he consider that child to be his? Itâs likeâŠhe couldnât fathom the thought.
If only he had looked just a little bit closer, he wouldâve seen that she had his eyes. How they resembled those pools of ink that used to shine with so much hope back in his youth, so playful and full of loveâŠthose same eyes that now gazed upon you with contempt.
It stung.
He thought so low, not only of himself, but of you as well.
Taking a deep breath to reel in your emotions, tears began to well up in your eyes. He assumed they were tears for your doomed lover, further breaking his heart as Mikey clenched his fists to the point of nearly drawing blood. Luckily, even though you struggled to find the right words, someone else happily found them for you.
âPapa..?â
Both of you instantly drew your attention on the toddler standing near the kitchen, one fist clutching her blanket while the other rubbed the sleep from her eye. You glanced at Mikey, and he was stiller than stone. His once dead-stare had morphed into what could only be described as incredulous. Surely, he heard her incorrectlyâŠ
With a sniffle, you crouched down to address her, offering a soft grin as you nodded earnestly. âThatâs right, sweetheart. Papaâs finally come home.â
The little girl blinked sleepily, taking a second to reboot. But, as soon as the words registered, a bright smile stretched across her face as she excitedly rushed towards Mikey, throwing herself onto his legs and hugging them like a koala as she chirped, âPapa, home!â
Said man hobbled a bit at the force, arms windmilling as he caught himself to keep from falling backwards. He didnât know what to do with himself, especially when those big, round pools of ink opened and stared right up into his soul. Mikeyâs heart nearly stopped. With a hitch in his breath, the gangster did everything he could to hold his composure, looking between you and the child as you both gazed at him with so much warmthâŠit was suffocating.
Sensing he was overwhelmed, you reached down to scoop up the bubbly bundle, holding her close as you eyed Mikey, apprehensively.
He resembled a cornered animalâMuscles stiff, jaw tight, eyes wild. After a moment, Mikey began to slowly back away into the shadows of your home, conflicted, devastated. It wasnât until his back hit the door did he eventually fall to his ass, of which caused your child to giggle at how silly he was being. However, all you could do was hold back tears, watching as the reality started to weigh down on a man who just discovered he was a father.
Nervous, you gently explained. âI didnât leave you because of our spat, JiroâŠand I never moved on. I justâŠthought that Iâd be doing more harm than good sticking around when I found out I was pregnantâŠI didnât want to add any more stress on your plate, so IâŠâ
Mikey didnât respond. He sat there, stare vast and unfocused. But, you knew he hung on to every word. So you continued. âI wanted to tell you. ButâŠI wasnât sure how. At the time, I believed you had stopped caring about me altogether. And to hear youâd been looking for me, I-IâmâŠIâm so sorry. Iâm sorry you harbored all that guilt. I didnât mean for any of that to happen.â
Your daughter wiggled around in your hold, making small grunts in complaint. Her eyes were trained on his figure huddled in the dark, wanting to be acknowledged, wanting his attention. âPapa!â
Mikey flinched. He focused his gaze on the two you, haloed by the light emitting from the living room. You both were like salvation, reaching down to a broken sinnerâŠHow could she want anything to do with him? When he had missed so much alreadyâŠ
To keep from accidentally dropping her, you placed your daughter back on the ground, watching wearily as she wobbled all the way to Mikey, blanket in tow. You werenât worried about him hurting her, far from itâŠif anything, he appeared to be the fragile one.
Eventually, she made it to her destination, standing before him with a curious, but eager expression as she rested a hand on his knee. Mikey watched her, took in all of her features, every last detail as he engraved it to memory. She was beautiful, just like her mother. One would think his genes didnât stand a chance. But the eyes. That was all him. From his mother to his older brother to himself, there was no doubt in his mind that those were Sano eyes.
His lower lip quivered, reaching out hesitantly to caress her cheek. She didnât cower away, merely babbled as she began patting his knee, allowing his thumb to rub over her chubby cheek. You clasped your hands over your mouth, growing even more emotional at the delicate moment. Mikey looked enamored already, eyes subtly sparkling from what you could see as they interacted.
âI-I told her stories, about you. And I made sure to show her photos, too. Old ones, but still you nonetheless. I wanted her to know who her father truly was. Despite everything elseâŠâ
Your daughter cooed, then placed her blanket in Mikeyâs lap before climbing into it. Mikey didnât dare move, rigid as she made herself comfortable. He looked up at you, looking for guidance, for reassurance. Your encouraging smile was enough for him to hesitantly place his hands on her small back for support, carefully adjusting so that she was stable. She laid her head on his chest and stuck her thumb in her mouth, sighing contentedly.
And, for the first time in years, he smiled.
When you hadnât seen her familiar pigtails bobbing around, or heard any of her excited chatter with the receptionist up front, worry couldnât even begin to describe what you felt the moment you realizeâŠyour daughter wasnât here.
As soon as the meeting looked like it was wrapping up, you politely excused yourself from the room. Masking your worry wasn't too difficult, but there's no doubt a couple people might've noticed the spring in your step as you exited. One of them being Rindou Haitani. He watched you speed down the hall with mild interest, corner of his mouth ticking up ever so slightly as he thumbed around on his phone beneath the table. Having been updating his older brother during the meeting while he was on his smoke break, he was more than eager to inform him of the storm that was no doubt heading his way.
Little did the younger Haitani know, he was already dealing with one.
"And then, Haruka-kun tries to take Momo-kun's bento box because she had cuter animal shapes, but Momo-kun already said no, and so Haruka-kun pushes Momo-kun, and then tries to take it! But I pushed him and hit him with my fist, like this," she clenched up her tiny fist and held it up to Ran before striking down on his forearm with all her might. It didn't even pitch. "Like that."
The lavender-eyed man merely gazed upon her with mirth. "Did you now?"
"Mmhm! And teacher got so mad, and said that she would tell Ma about me fighting, but she's stupid because Ma didn't pick me up today, and I told Haruka-kun if he snitches, I'll beat 'em up!"
Ran lowly whistled. "Quite the little menace, ain'tcha?"
She pumped her fists. "Yeah!" Then, she paused, holding a finger to her chin in thought. "Wait...what's a menace?"
"Ah, something you inherited from your old man." He ruffled her hair, much to her displeasure. Though her innocent jab earlier regarding his age still hit a sore spot, he was starting to like the sound of it. She, on the other hand, wasn't convinced.
"I already told you; Ma was on her happy juice when she said that. She said not to believe anything she says when she's on happy juice. It makes her do silly things."
Ran chuckled. He knew that all too well. The little girl wouldn't be in this world if not for your inability to hold your liquor. But judging based on how you've raised her so far, clearly you made the right decision keeping him in the dark.
He'll admit, he wasn't the best in terms of commitment. Throughout his day to day, Ran just didn't have the energy. With being in Bonten, keeping an eye out for his younger brother, handling business, dealing with numbskulls and disposing of their bodies, there was never a time to even consider settling down. One-night stands and on and off flings were the easiest choice. At least, until he stumbled upon you.
You were the whole package and more. Classy, independent, witty, and a looker to top it all off. When Bonten started collaborating with the organization you worked in, he couldn't help but to be drawn to youâLike a moth to a flame. It started out as the occasional bantering, trying to one-up the other, catch them off guard. Ran was smooth with his words but could never quite beat your sharp tongue. Thus, things escalated to something more flirtatious. Harmless, but it didn't take long before the months of tension between the both of you began boiling over...and throwing alcohol into the mix, it was the first time Ran finally felt like he had the upper hand. Seeing how poorly you handled just a few glasses of wine, it endeared him. Seeing a piece of you that no one else had the privilege to witness. Your sloppy side, the clumsy, whiny, touchy side. After that long, passionate night beneath the sheets, the one time you and Ran allowed yourselves the space to be vulnerable with one another...you found yourself pregnant. And Ran found himself being nonethewiser.
He wonders, if he hadn't left the next morning and completely ghosted you...would you have kept him in the picture?
Suddenly, his phone dings. Reaching back to pull it from his back pocket, Ran half expected it to just be another update on the meeting or Rindou cursing at him to hurry his ass back inside. But, it wasn't that at all. And at the sound of your kitten heels rushing out of the building and halting at the top of the steps, Ran didn't even need to look up to know who was glowering down from them.
"Hey, Ma! Guess what, the purple man isn't such a meanie after all!"
Ran snorted, finally looking up from his phone to greet the woman who not only still had his heart, but evidently his first child. You, on the other hand, weren't so thrilled to see him.
"Rika. Wait inside. Ma's got some words for the purple man."
He smirked. "Wanna say 'em over a glass of wine?"
"You son of a-!"
"Bad word!" Your daughter covered her ears. You flushed, your composure nearly slipping just by being in his prescence. Ran, immediately seeing the opportunity, teasingly pouts at you whilst covering her tiny hands with his larger ones, shielding her.
"Honey, please, not in front of the child. Can't have her repeating those dirty words at school, can we?"
You fumed, speaking through clenched teeth. "Haitani, as soon as I get her in this building, away from you, I swear to God, I'm gonna wring your neck."
He hummed, amused. "Well. Guess she didn't get her violent side from me after all. Speaking of which, did you know at school today-"
"Hey! No snitching!"
â...What did you say?âÂ
You were hoping you heard the teacher wrong. Surely it was just your exhaustion taking the wheel. But, when her kind smile didnât falter, nor did her gushes for the supposed âadorable displayâ, you immediately grew suspicious.
While heading home from work, you went to pick up your children from daycare. And when you arrived, the teacher merely informed you that it was already taken care of by your very handsome and very devoted husband.Â
âI-I think youâre mistaken. My boyfriend and I arenât marriedâŠâ
The teacher, finally coming back down to earth, tilted her head in confusion. âEh? You arenât?âÂ
âDid heâŠsay we were?âÂ
âWell, no. I just assumed since it was easy to tell who he was here for. Hikaru and Kaoru look so much like their daddy.â
You choked on your spit. Hikaru and Kaoru look so much like their daddy. Hikaru and Kaoru look so much like their daddy.
You did everything in your power to keep from strangling the poor woman. Sure, she didnât do anything wrong per sayâŠbut she sure did make a grave error. And your struggle to restrain your intrusive thoughts mustâve shown on your face from the way she placed a concerned hand on your arm. âAre you alright, miss? You look like youâre about to faint.â
âM-Mhm, yep, great, just peachy.â You squeaked through clenched teeth, sweatdrop on your forehead. âCould you umâŠconfirm something for me?â
âUh.? Er, sure. Iâll try my best.â
With tense shoulders and a tight smile, you asked, âTheirâŠfatherâŠdid his mouth have two scars in the corners?â
The teacher blinked, confused. Shouldnât you already know that answer yourself?, she was probably thinking. And she would be right; you did know. But her simple, hesitant nod was the final nail in the coffin that was your delusionâHaruchiyo Sanzu had found you. And to make matters worse, he had the children.
Your smile faltered, twitching ever so slightly. Covering it with a forced chuckle, you cried, âOh, thatâs..wonderful! Heâs always been self conscious about them, and Iâm j-just.. beaming with joy that heâs embracing them more. Have a nice evening, Ms. Yuki.â
The teacher didnât get a chance to respond as you quickly turned on your heel and began speed walking home. Youâd apologize for your abrupt exit another dayâŠright now there were more important matters to worry about. For instanceâHow on earth did Sanzu find you? How did he know about the twins and where they were? Oh, GodâŠdid he know about Satoru?
Dialing him up a few times only for the calls to go straight to voicemail werenât reassuring in the slightest, having you rush across oncoming traffic just so you could avoid any further delays for your fraying nerves. You could see your apartment complex up ahead, heart thumping in your throat at the familiar, black SUV parked a couple blocks down. Had it not been for the heavily tinted windows and no license plates, you probably wouldâve overlooked it. He knew where you lived. Stomach in knots, muscles stiff, nerves shot. You didnât know whether to feel relieved or devastated. Your kids were safe at home, but at what cost? You stood in front of the building, rooted to the ground. Despite mentally preparing for this exact scenario for years, it all went down the drain the second you went to that daycare and discovered your children were missing.
It wasnât until your phone vibrated did you snap out of your thoughts, shakily pulling the device out of your back pocket to check the notification.
from : unknown 1:06 pm   â hi, mama.~ â
Your stomach twisted. Attached to the message were two photos.
The first photo was of your kids eating McDonald's in the kitchen, happily cheesing and waving at the camera. You couldn't hold your choked gasp, hand coming up to hold your quivering lower lipâThey were safe.
The second photo...was of Satoru. Tied to a chair, gagged, and beaten senseless. And standing behind him, holding him by his hair so that he could pose for the camera, grinning like a cheshire cat...
Another message pops up. Your grip tightened around your phone.
from : unknown 1:09 pm " daddy's home.~ "

"what are you doing here?", grumbled the man as soon as he opened the door and spotted you on the other side of it.
"can you get out of the way? i'm obviously here for minji."
"she doesn't get here til tomorrow," he responded, though still moving out of the way to let you in.
you were about to snark at him again when he stopped in his tracks, eyes widening when they made contact with the suitcases you were struggling to drag behind you, "why are you carrying suitcases? fuck, don't tell me you're staying here," he grabbed onto one, stopping your movements.
"yes, jungkook. minji told me i could crash here for spring break. what's it to you? your house is big enough. just ignore my presence," you attempted to move your suitcases again, knowing you'd receive no help from the boy even if you asked.
"so you're here to ruin my break?" the complaints were never ending despite having entered the home only mere moments ago.
"stop being a child and get out of my way," you grumbled when the idiot refused to remove his hand from the handle of your suitcase.
he let out a heavy sigh, scrunching his eyes closed in annoyance before speaking again, "okay, move. i'll bring your shit upstairs."
"no, i can-"
"you can't carry all this upstairs. my mom's gonna be mad if i don't offer to help you. just let go," he muttered, pushing your hands away and somehow lifting both suitcases at once as he walked towards the stairs.
without any energy to argue with him, you just followed him upstairs, annoyed he insisted to pretend to do you a favor.
"are your parents home?", you asked, confused as to why he had been the one to open the door.
"no, they went out of town this weekend. they should be here tonight."
"why are you here?"
you knew this was his home, but it was a valid question. this had been the third time you'd spent some sort of school break at minji's house, yet jungkook had never been there during the duration of it, usually only popping up for a day or two by the end of each break.
"you mean in my house?", he chuckled sarcastically.
"you're never here- you know what i meant."
"didn't have any plans this time. why? am i ruining your break?"
the two of you finally made it to the extra guest room in minji's house, with jungkook settling your stuff on the bed and uncharacteristically taking a seat on it, as if planning to hang around. you ignored the thought and went to open your suitcase, planning to unpack a few of the things since you'd be staying for over a week.
"yeah," you deadpanned.
he scoffed, "not like i wanna spend my break with you either, princess."
groaning, you threw a folded shirt at him, "ew, i told you not to call me that."
seemingly pleased at having annoyed you, he chuckled and picked up the shirt you threw, folding it and placing it on the bed. he continued to occasionally grab one thing or another as you unpacked. you always knew jungkook to be quite fidgety, so you didn't question him grabbing your stuff to entertain himself as you unpacked.
jungkook wordlessly stayed on your bed as you went around the room organizing your stuff, attempting to ignore his presence but not entirely able to. you were willing to retain peace without complaining, but then he started making noise.
you usually didn't care for his presence too much, even as badly as the two of you got along, but the constant humming quickly got on your nerves. he hummed and hummed and did not stop even as ten minutes passed by, still taking stuff from your suitcase to fidget with. currently he was entertaining himself with a random shoe.
"jungkook! why are you still here?", you suddenly snapped, confused as to why he'd been sitting on your bed with a blank look on his face despite usually being liberal in expressing his dislike for you.
he looked at you for a few moments, no emotion on his face before speaking up.
"why don't we get along?"
"what?"
"you heard me. why don't we get along? you've been friends with my sister since childhood, but you've always hated me. why?"
"you started it," you murmured, taking the shoe he currently had in his hold and turning around to place it somewhere else.
he got up, walking over to you and turning you around by your shoulders and taking the shoe from you again, "i started it? what are you talking about? you've been rude to me since the seventh grade. i've just been returning the favor."
sighing in frustration, you grabbed shook his hands off your shoulders and stubbornly grabbed the shoe again, "why do you think that is, jungkook?"
a confused look overtook his face at your insinuation of your relationship being his fault, clearly not remembering what you were referring to.
"wha-what are you talking about?"
"god, you're such a dumbass sometimes. i mean, i assumed you didn't remember, but to have confirmation of it just kinda sucks," you chuckled bitterly.
he grabbed onto your shoulders again when you tried to walk past him, "tell me what you're talking about," he insisted.
for the most part, you didn't want to. you still felt embarrassed thinking about it, even if it had been over a decade since it had happened. to know he really didn't remember the source of your dislike for him also didn't really help matters. it just frustrated you at his presence even more.
through the years you had learned not to take the mutual banter too seriously. it was mostly lighthearted, to be honest. but any time you thought back to how it had started, you became beyond angry at the boy who was seemingly nice too all those he knew but you. sure, you had technically been the one to source this animosity, but he bad been the instigator of it after all.
you had been nine years old at the time, having recently moved into town and befriended minji. she had been your salvation, becoming instantly interested in being your friend despite you being brand new. you became quick friends, hanging out inside and outside school almost every day.
minji had the good fortune of being extremely close to her family, which allowed you to bond with them quite a lot. that was when you met her older brother, one of her favorite people in the world.
jungkook had been pure perfection in your young eyes, seeing him as unattainable at the young age of nine. he was two years your senior, which made you come to the quick realization that your crush would remain one-sided forever. except this didn't stop your naive heart to read into his nice demeanor and wishfully believe that maybe he'd like you back.
you crushed on him silently for three years, even coming to befriend him in the process. you wouldn't see him too often, but it was always nice when you did, always getting along quite well. this continued up until you hit twelve years of age, your tweenhood years. unfortunately, jungkook was now into his teens, meaning that he followed the footprints of every other man and had a short-lived phase where he was a bit insensitive to girls his age.
being completely delusional and being on your way to graduate middle school, you took a leap, deciding to invite jungkook as your date to your middle school prom. you had thought you read all the signs right, thinking that even if he rejected you, he'd still be nice enough to go with you as a friend. your hopes were completely crushed when he turned you down with zero hesitance, even patronizing you in the process.
the worst part of it all came later, when you were first entering high school. somehow a few of his friends had gotten word of the situation, dubbing you as desperate and obsessed with him. although the rumors died pretty quickly, and you were able to feign indifference to jungkook and everyone else, the seed of hate began to grow in you. little by little, you stopped speaking to jungkook altogether, eventually coming to proudly dislike him. despite minji's constant questioning about your change in demeanor towards her brother, you never told, not wanting any drift to be caused between you and minji, nor her and her brother.
the gradual change in your feelings for jungkook had been so natural that it made sense for him to not remember the source of the current state of your relationship. he had caught on naturally, simply bantering back with you whenever you gave him attitude. it was likely that he believed it all to be lighthearted at first, eventually becoming accustomed enough to it to not question it.
and now you were here, having to explain a stupid childhood heartbreak to the perpetrator of it all as he stared down at you in absolute wonder.
"eighth grade, jungkook. remember?"
he shook his head in confusion, his eyes still wide as his brain wracked itself to remember.
"the dance?"
"the dance? what dan- oh! the- the dance? that's it?"
'that's it'?
he mustve caught the look of annoyance in your face, as he quickly went to retract himself.
"fuck, wait. i didn't mean it like that, just- is that why you hate me? because i said no to you?"
you took a step away from him again, still frustrated, but his arms remained on your shoulders so you would keep looking right at him. it was awkward and extremely uncomfortable considering the context, but you didn't move away.
"it wasn't just that, jungkook," you started, "was it that horrible of a thought to go to the dance with me? i was twelve, you couldve been nicer about it. and to tell your friends about it? i was mocked for weeks after that. and now you wanna act like this is my fault? like ive just been mean to you for no reason?", you scoffed, looking at your feet in favor of not having to look at him.
"wait, who ... who made fun of you? i- i never told anyone what happened. why would i do that?"
"jungkook, stop. taehyung? jimin? they wouldn't stop bringing it up for weeks. it died down after a while, but i was already humiliated."
he shook his head and denial, seemingly at himself. finally letting go of you, he sat back on the bed, look of confusion still on his face before a lightbulb metaphorically manifested itself above his head.
"oh fuck," he muttered, "i- i remember now, but it didn't go down the way you think, okay? let me explain."
you crossed your arms and nodded, signaling for him to continue.
he uncrossed his arms, running them through his hair in a frustrated fashion before he began to explain, oddly passionate as he did so, "i told them right after it happened. i felt so bad for saying no to you, they noticed how down i was about it and asked. i swear i didnt say anything bad. fuck, i never knew they teased you about it, im so sorry," he rambled, "and i didnt- i didnt mean to make you feel bad when i said no. you're my sister's best friend and- and you were so young. i know it doesnt matter anymore, but saying yes felt wrong. it felt like id be taking advantage of you somehow."
"jungkook-"
"if it makes you feel better," he hesitated before continuing, "i, uh, i kinda had a crush on you when we were 17. i- i was going to ask you to my prom, but you picked a fight with me that day and told me to get the fuck out. thats, that's kinda when i started to hate you back," he smiled awkwardly towards the end.
that took you for a bit of a loop. you weren't a heartless asshole. it wasnt like you meant to hurt him through your dislike of him, but rather protect yourself from further rejection. it made you feel bad to know that you'd somewhat done a similar thing to him at some point, even verbally berating him time after time when his intentions hadn't been malicious.
"are you serious?"
"do you really hate me? for what i did, i mean," he interrupted.
did you? for the most part, you had just grown far too used to your animosity with jungkook. due to your own mean behavior towards him, he became equally as rude, creating a vicious cycle of disrespect between the two of you. but did you hate him?
the answer was probably not.
if you did, your heart wouldn't have jumped at the mention of him having had a crush on you back when you were seventeen.
"no, i don't hate you. do you?"
he turned to you, shaking his head, "of course not," he confirmed, "do you wanna start over?", he asked, getting up from the bed and walking over to you.
you couldn't help but chuckle at his sudden proposal. you also couldnt help in nodding in agreement, confirming that yes, you'd be willing to put aside a petty middle school misunderstanding in favor of starting over.
then he opened his arms, gesturing for a hug before asking for permission for one, "hug?"
wordlessly, you accepted the offer of a friendly hug, reasoning that it was only natural considering how touchy he was with everyone other than yourself.
when you went to pull away, his arms tightened around you, head burying itself further into your hair, "just a little longer," he murmured.
with no reason to deny him, you wrapped your arms around him once more, only letting go when he started to slowly pull away.
that's when you made the mistake of looking up at him as he attempted to make himself let go of you.
seemingly, he had made the same mistake, now locking eyes with you at a proximity far too close for two people who hated each other just mere minutes ago. stupidly enough, your eyes predictably went down to his lips, not realizing his own had done the same. the only difference was that he was far more daring than you, allowing his lips to lower down onto yours and envelop them in a soft kiss.
greedy hands dug into your hips before making their way to your waist, holding you as close to him as he could. your own hands wrapped around his shoulders, moving to play with his hair as soon as the kiss turned more heated.
moaning against him, he pulled away for a second, still keeping his lips entirely too close to your own as he breathed through his nose to calm himself down. the following kiss was even more harrowing, causing you to take a step back due to the sheer force of it. he walked you back, pressing you up against the nearest wall as he took advantage of being able to crowd you, allowing his hands to get a feel of your body as you kissed.
despite how pathetically you followed his lips, he still pulled away, throwing his shirt off before going back to kissing you, letting his hands wander underneath your own shirt as he did so. his hands dug deep under your shirt, feeling up your bare breasts and groaning at the lack of bra.
gradually, his lips made their way to your ear and then down your neck, murmuring against your skin.
"fuck, so fucking pretty ... and so needy for me, huh? sound so good moaning for me like that," he breathed against you.
you burned up, embarrassed by how easily he had an effect on you, but you still let him do whatever he wanted, knowing that nothing you did would prevent your body from wanting his touch.
throwing off your shirt, his lips trailed down even further south, latching onto your nipples and groaning into your skin at the way you arched your body, pressing up even closer to him.
but suddenly there was a shift.
jungkook halted his movements, making his way back up to your lips and locking them with his own in a heavy and greedy kiss, resulting in a lack of breath from both of you. against your lips, he whispered something that made your knees buckle.
"i'm gonna pay you back for all those times you were mean to me, baby," his lips moved to your ear, chuckling at your anticipatory shudder, "gonna do whatever i want with this pretty body, yeah?"
nodding pathetically, you gave way for him to do anything he wanted. already drenched, there was no way you could possibly formulate any words that didn't come out as an embarrassing whine. he seemed to enjoy this too, holding a pleased smirk in his face as he easily dragged you over to the bed, pushing off your suitcase and dropping you on it with a bounce.
before you could even think, jungkook had already thrown off his shoes and undone his pants, his hands coming to do the same to you. your shaky hands attempted to help him, but he simply tsk'd at you, letting you know that he'd take care of everything tonight. everything, he emphasized.
"oh, fuck," he groaned once you were fully nude, "this is all mine now, yeah? fuck, been waiting for years for you to stop being a brat and let me have this pretty body all to myself," he kissed your lips between each sentence, "might lose control at how gorgeous and mine it is ..." he murmured as his hands took their rightful place exploring your body.
"kook-" you whined, already wanting him to do something â anything.
"shh, baby," he coo'd, "i'm gonna do whatever i want. and you're gonna take it like a good girl, okay? gonna behave for me for once."
fully crawling on top of you, jungkook went back to making out with you, wrapping your legs around his waist as he began humping against your already soaked cunt.
groaning, he pulled away for a second in favor of nibbling softly at your lip, "oh, this pretty pussy's so fucking soaked already ... thought you hated me, baby, what happened?" he chuckled darkly, giving you no room to answer before shoving his tongue in your mouth.
just as his tongue attempted to suck all air out of you, his hand suddenly snuck between your bodies, finding your cunt with ease and beginning to drag his fingers up and down your folds, not giving you want you needed.
"pretty fucking pussy," he murmured, "gonna play with your clit now, baby. it's gonna cry for me by the time im done."
his fingers found your clit almost immediately, taking turns in rubbing teasing circles over it and hammering in and out of your cunt. he swallowed every single moan, groaning against your lips any time your cries went so high they went straight to his cock.
"that good, pretty? so good that you have to cry for more? oh, baby. you're so lucky this pussy's so fucking cute. lucky i cant control myself around you ..."
"f-faster, please ..."
"faster? oh, like this?", his fingers slowed down drastically, barely stimulating you at all as you cried and clawed at his back, whining for more than he seemed willing to give you.
"n-no! please, just- just wanna cum, kookie. please?"
his fingers curled entirely too well at your cry of his nickname, even making him groan when he felt your own reaction to his fingers. it was clear he liked you crying out for him, so the more you did it, the more of his fingers he gave you, leading you to the verge of an orgasm.
afraid he'd try and deny you just for sadistic means, you cried for him prematurely, begging him to let you cum.
"kookie, p-please, please let me cum, i-i'll do anything. i'll give you anything, just, fuck, please!"
there was not a single care in you about how pathetic and out of character you sounded, not when jungkook's wasnt faring any better at the effect your desperation had on him.
"cum. cum for me, baby. wanna feel that cunt cream around my fingers so i can fill it back up with my own, okay? be good for me and- fuck, and cum ..." as much as he wanted to be in charge and show a dominant side to him, your cunt just kept dragging his fingers back in, making him feel a carnal need to steal your orgasm all for himself and many others after this one.
your hand wrapped around his free wrist, needing it as support as an otherworldly orgasm took over you. back arching and eyes rolling back, you became a sight that jungkook had only ever seen in his most depraved of dreams about you. he was surprised at his cock not bursting upon such an arousing view, making him realize that he needed to fuck you as soon as posible before losing his mind.
despite talking you through your orgasm, jungkook still gave you no time to recover before shoving his tongue in your mouth and grabbing his dick to drag up and down your sensitive folds.
crying against him, you attempted to push him away at first, feeling too sensitive for immediate stimulation, but your body gave up quickly after, melting into the overload of pleasure. tears crowded in your eyes, but your legs wrapped around his waist to pull him closer, needing more of that pressure against your cunt.
taking the hint and far too horny to drag this out any longer, he pushed inside you, groaning against you at the feeling of finally being wrapped around your warmth.
"it's so fucking wet ... oh, fuck. you wanted this so bad, didnt you, baby? fucking soaked and just pulling me in ... it's so- so tight n warm n perfect for me," he babbled, lost in pleasure.
jungkook's hips were restless against yours, an insatiable desire to chase for his pleasure taking over him as the sound of skin slapping made him dizzy. the occasional babble accompanied by a pitiful hiccup that came out of you did not help his situation, making him fear that he might cum before you.
"let- let me just get my finger there- yeah, fuck. just gonna rub that tiny little clit, okay? shit, you just tightened around my cock so fucking good ..." he groaned, thumb circling your clit to accelerate your orgasm.
"g-gonna, fuck, gonna cum ... p-please ... with me? cum with me?" you begged, barely able to get a single coherent word out while jungkook showed no mercy against you.
nodding, he kissed you, promising he'd cum â begging you to cum. counting you down, he whispered against your ear while his hips stuttered messily against your own, now completely overtaken by both yours and his orgasm.
the sounds shared between the two of you were nothing short of shameful, consisting of whines and cries filled with desperation. it was a depraved scene only meant for the two of you to enjoy.
pulling out of you proved to be a challenge, as jungkook would happily remained inside you until his last breath, but the thought of holding you innocently in his arms as you caught your breath was something he did not want to miss out on.
and so he held you against him, crowding your face against his chest so you could lay your head right by his heart.
"that was-"
"yeah," he breathed with a chuckle before turning to you with a boyish smile on his face, "i have a confession to make."
you turned around too, unable to not match his smile, "what is it?"
"i lied earlier. i, uh, i did like you when you were seventeen, but ... i kinda still like you."
it was impossible not to feel your face warm up at this, scrunching up your nose at how cutely he had confessed, "what if i said it was mutual?"
his smile somehow got bigger at that, "then i'd say i'm gonna have to steal you away from my sister," he pulled you into his chest again, enjoying the vibrations of your laugh.

đđźđŠđŠđđ«đČ: With Vision gone Wanda found a new way to have her perfect family. But for that she has to take drastic message
đ/đ: letâs pretend itâs yesterday
đđđŹđđđ«đ„đąđŹđ | đđąđ§đ€đđšđđđ« | đđđ„đđŹđđąđ§đ
Wanda longed for one thing, a family, something picture perfect like youâd see in the sit coms she used to watch. But with Vision gone, she thought she could never reach her goal until she had found you. Pretty and young the perfect wife for her causes.
There was only one problem you already had a man. Which made her more angry with each day passing. How could a man claim over something which was clearly made for her. The only solution was to steal you away from your life, make you forget so you wouldnât linger after the things which were bad for you.
Around her cabin in the Canadian woods she had build a small hex. A hex you couldnât cross but was still big enough to make you feel like you could prow through the forest. But first she needed to catch you on your way home as she had mapped your daily schedule perfectly.
Wanda walked three steps behind you her hoodie hiding her face. Until you crossed in the dark valley leading into your Appartement. Hastily she had caught up to you her fingers casting a spell before you fell in her arms unconsciously.
When you regained your consciousness, waking up in clean white sheets with sun streaming through the window. Something was off, but you couldnât remember what. You had memories of a life with a woman who seemed familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
When you stood up and found the kitchen the same unfamiliar woman was cooking breakfast, Wanda, had you just forgotten the name of your own wife? âOh baby youâre awake alreadyâ She pulled you against her chest âDo you still have the headache from yesterday baby?â She asked her hand petting over your hair. âW- What? I canât rememberâ Her perfect smile distorted a bit, became creepy even. âThatâs because you havenât had your pills yet babyâ She spoke in a soothing voice as if it was the most normal thing for her.
She kept preparing for breakfast, cutting some strawberries because she knew she liked them. While she was focused on you her accidentally cut her finger, and the hex flickered for a split second and all the memories can crashing down on you. With from shock widened pupils you stared at her and she knew she had to act fast. âW-here am I?â Tears were building in building in your eyes. âLet me go I- I have a boyfriend, f- familyâ
She lounged at you manhandling your body on the couch âyou donât need them! All you need is me, I can tell whatâs good for you and what notâ She pressed you down hard the tears were already wetting the couching of the couch. âYouâre just a dumb little girl who needs mommy to tell her what to doâ
âPlease donâtâ You begged but her magic was already making you forget again. Youâre brain soon felt like mush. You barely registered her pushing up your shirt and pulling your panties down âthatâs a good girl all dumbed down and obedientâ She played with your sloppy cunt. âYouâre so wet baby? Do you like mommy playing with your little pussy?â
âYes mommyâ you mewl pushing your hips into her hands âMhm thatâs thats right⊠let mommy do all the thinkingâ She unzipped her own pants pulling them down to her thighs to reveal her enchanted strap. She alined herself with your sloppy cunt. Roughly she pushed into your tight hole splitting you open.
You mewl pressing your hips against her, like the desperate whore you were. She was harsh with her thrusts not caring about your desperate cries for release as they were only backround ambiance to the slapping of skin.
âYouâre so tight for mommyâ She cursed under her breath feeling every inch of you as she fucked you raw. âF- feels so goodâ You cried your throat raw from the screaming. âIâm gonna fuck you so full your gonna carry my babiesâ
âYesâ you chanted feeling your stomach tighten as you were just about to cum. âIâll get you a full thatâs what you want?! My dumb little housewife always ready for my dick?â She mocked her hand slapping your butt.
âM- Mommy, I- Iâm closeâ You mewled biting down into the pillow you were clinging on. âCum with me baby make me proud and cream over my cockâ She fastened her hips again and you squirted all over her abs. She released her seed shortly after pulling out to finger her cum back into you. You were too far gone in the trance as you feel asleep on the couch. In a few hours you would be perfect for her that she was sure of.

singlemom!reader x neighbor!Sukuna. You and Sukuna have been dancing around each other for weeks, and when you tell him you've found another apartment for you and your daughter, he decides he's had enough.
cw: smut, breeding kink(heavy emphasis), Sukuna is a bad dude but you know that already. Your daughter's nickname is Bug but she's given no official birth name.
Sometimes, Sukuna remembered how much he felt like he would die if he didn't touch you back when he first met you. Now, he wanted to go back in time and punch himself in the fucking face because that him, that him did not know what it meant to suffer.
The past few weeks since the birthday party where he felt like you had finally, finally seen him had been the worst, but somehow best, weeks of Sukuna's life. On the surface, not much had changed. You still were crashing at his place, he continued to take on more and more caretaker duties with your daughter and the two of you were continuing this dance where you participated in the outline of what a relationship between the two of you could be but for some reason, you still seemed hesitant to embrace it completely.
Sukuna could be patient, he had been patient, but the fact that you two still weren't together when he was positive now it was what you both wanted, it was driving him insane.
You looked at him more than you did before and sometimes he would catch these quick glimpses of a desire that burned him, that made him want to show you just how much he had been wanting you. How he was never going to want anyone but you. But then, he would look again and you were back to feeding your daughter or cleaning a dish and just continuing with this facade where you were just crashing temporarily at his place.
Sukuna could feel the tension tighten across his back and shoulders as the three of you finished dinner. Your daughter was telling a story about something her and her "Uncle Uuji" had gotten up to when Sukuna's brother had been babysitting that afternoon, and you were smiling and giving the right "oohs" and "aahs" when you had looked over at him.
You looked so content and happy that Sukuna felt his shoulders relax in response. The waiting was killing him, but he reminded himself it was worth it, he was so close he could almost taste it. Soon, he wouldn't need to hold himself back and he could hold your hand and kiss you anytime he wanted, while his daughter monopolized the dinner conversation. You were both so clearly meant to be his and if he needed to give you some more time so you were comfortable, then he would give you more time.
Feeling at peace with his decision, Sukuna took the lead on bedtime duty that night. He read your daughter a story-"Do the voices 'kuna!" "I am doing the voices, kid"- and then tucked her in. He pressed a kiss to her forehead as she was struggled to keep her eyes open.
"Night, Bug."
"Night, 'kuna."
Sukuna finished tucking her in while you watched from the doorway. He was about to leave when the little girl grabbed his wrist.
"Love you."
Sukuna felt something catch in his throat and all the sudden he was a scared kid again holding a little Yuuji to his chest so the roaches that were all over the floor of their apartment didn't touch him. A fierce protectiveness lit up his chest and he promised to himself, for not the first time, that his little girl would never know experience any of that. It had taken him years to get Yuuji out of there, and Bug had already lived a few years without him, but she was home now and it was clear she knew that too.
"Love you too, Bug." He couldn't resist pressing one more kiss to your daughter's forehead but the kid was out like a light already. You moved aside so Sukuna could close the door, which he did very gently.
"Took her long enough tonight, huh? I think I'll still be able to recite 'Goodnight Moon' when her grandkids ask for it."
You don't smile and he knows you're aware he's joking about the time. There's a reason you're co-owning story time now, Sukuna isn't developing his voice actor repertoire for nothing.
He goes to put his hand on your shoulder but you move back a little as if you're trying to avoid his touch. Now he's concerned.
"You okay?"
You shake your head and gesture your head towards the living room. Sukuna follows, not appreciating the uncertainty he's feeling at your strange mood.
When you get to the living room, you hesitate and take a seat on the armchair. Usually, you only use it when you're reading or doing something on your laptop. Whenever you're together, you always share the couch with Sukuna and he notes the decision to distance yourself with distaste. He's sure the wariness shows on his face as he goes to sit on the side of the couch closest to you.
"Alright, what is it?"
You bite your lip and he's about to ask again, with less patience ,when you take a deep breath and begin. Your eyes trained down on your lap.
"I found an apartment for me and Bug. It's close to the daycare and it's a little smaller than we're used to, but it will work for now. A friend helped me find it and there isn't even a creepy landlord! I'm going to sign the lease Monday and we should be able to move in next weekend. So, I just wanted to thank you for everything."
Sukuna thinks he's stopped breathing and he feels a wave of anger so intense he can taste iron against the back of his teeth.
"You're leaving?"
You take another deep breath and nod while Sukuna's world continues to fall apart.
"I think it's time. You know, I appreciate everything you've done for me and bug. The past few months have been amazing and we never would have gotten through them without you."
Sukuna doesn't have it in him to let the pause you leave sit there long. "I keep telling you, you don't have to thank me. It's really fine. I like having you here."
You look down at your fingers where he sees it looks like you've been picking at them. He gets a bad feeling, worse than what he was already feeling.
"I know and that's-it's really nice, really."
"Great."
"But, I think it's starting to get confusing."
"Confusing? What's confusing?"
You go on, ignorant to, or ignoring the rage that's rising in him.
"It's just, when we were at that party a few weeks ago and everyone kept asking about us and if we were together, and about our situation, it's obvious that what we're doing isn't normal."
"Not normal, how?" Sukuna prompts and he's going to snap if you keep refusing to even look at him.
"You don't just crash with your neighbor for months on end because your apartment flooded. They don't help you with chores and spend all your time together. Neighbors don't babysit your daughter-"
"I like spending time with your daughter, that's not a favor I'm doing for either of you," Sukuna finally snaps, annoyed that the special moment he'd shared with Bug earlier was being overshadowed by you denying the relationship he'd been so careful about building with her. "I told you, I care about both of you and I don't give a fuck what other people think about our situation. I chose to let you both come and stay with me and I like the life we've built here."
You finally look up at that last part and your eyes are full of tears. Sukuna is able to hold back some of his anger at the sight of you in such clear distress.
"That's the thing, we're not building a life here, this is temporary and I think we've been forgetting that." A tear slides down your cheek. "A few days ago, Bug brought home a picture she drew in daycare. She drew the three of us as a family, Sukuna. She thinks you're going to be like her new dad and how am I going to explain to her that you're not going to be in her life when this is over? She barely understands what happened with her dad, I can't do that to her again."
Sukuna seethes. "Don't compare me to that piece of shit. He hasn't even tried to contact you or Bug since you moved in."
"Well, he's still her dad-"
"No, he fucking isn't," Sukuna is done and you're crying freely now and he doesn't understand where he went wrong with all of this. "In a few years, she won't even remember that bastard. I'll be the only father she's ever known because I'll be the one that's actually here."
You laugh a little and wipe at your face but it just exacerbates the mess. "What are you even talking about? You're her neighbor, Sukuna and when we move you won't even be that."
"Is that all I am to her? To you?"
"What else are you supposed to be?!"
Sukuna is so pissed, he doesn't know how he's going to recover from this. This is not what he wanted at all and here you were now-
Crying, you were crying.
The pieces started connecting and Sukuna realized that he wasn't being left. You weren't rejecting him or what he was to you or to your daughter. You were panicking. You were doing what you had been taught to do by everyone else in your life, to leave them before they could leave you.
You were right, after all. You were confused.
Sukuna was going to fix that.
You must have noticed the abrupt shift in Sukuna's mood because you seemed puzzled as Sukuna started to smile. You didn't have time to ask any questions before Sukuna stood up and walked over to your chair.
"Sukuna?"
"I see now, I wasn't clear with you. That must have been so frustrating, sweetheart."
You'd stopped crying in your bewilderment. "Sweetheart? Sukuna, what are you doing-"
Sukuna shushed you as he leaned you so you were face to face, his body almost shielding you from the rest of the room. You blinked a few times to adjust to the lack of light as he blocked everything else but himself from view.
"I'm going to help fix your confusion, sweetheart. You seem to think I've just been doing this all out of the kindness of my heart and I want to assure you, that's not the case," he says, leaning his forehead against yours. "See, I'm actually not that kind and if you were anyone else, I wouldn't have given you a place to stay, even with a brat."
"You don't mean that-"
"Yes, I really do. I don't help people, I don't give a fuck even whether they live or die. The only people I give a damn about are Yuuji, you and the kid and that's it. When I say I would have left anyone else to tough it out on the streets, I fucking mean it."
"You don't give yourself enough credit," you argue and Sukuna finds it adorable. "You're making it sound like-"
"Like what, princess?" Your breath hitches at that one and his grin turns predatory. "Oh you like that one, I'll keep that in mind princess." You gulp and he watches the way your throat moves and can't resist pressing a kiss to it.
"S-Sukuna-"
"No, no, go on princess, you were telling me what you thought the reason must be for me doing all these things. Go on, tell me your theory. You're a smart girl, I think you've figured it out."
"You like me," and the way you say it as almost a question is so endearing Sukuna can't hold back the trail of kisses he plants up your throat until he gets to your jaw.
"No, I don't like you princess." You seem to accept this and you're nodding, opening your mouth to probably say something stupid when Sukuna cuts you off. "Like isn't enough to describe the way I feel about you."
"Really?" You're so hesitant and sweet as Sukuna presses kisses up and down your tear stained cheeks. A new one slips down your cheek and he holds your face with both hands as he licks it up before it can fall all the way. You're almost panting now and he loves it.
"Trust me, I haven't gone to all this effort just for some lousy date or to get my dick wet." He leans back so he can see your face and cups your face so he can tilt it up to look at him.
"You're it for me, princess. This isn't temporary and I'm not going to let you go. Either of you."
"Sukuna, it's one thing to be interested in me but it's another to just-to just say you're going to parent my kid. I mean, she's a person you'd be tied to your whole life."
Sukuna hums, finding it cute how much you're still not grasping the situation. "All of your children will be mine, that includes Bug."
You laugh. "Children, plural?"
"Definitely plural." Sukuna looks your body up and down making his meaning clear and you seem determined to try to be the voice of reason as Sukuna goes back to kissing your cheeks, your temple, your forehead.
"We're not even dating, Sukuna."
"What do you call the past few months? We spend every day together, go everywhere together, we live together, we're raising your daughter together, what else do you need to know about me?"
"I'm wondering if there's in fact very important things I need to know about you." That's his smart girl and Sukuna finds the suspicion adorable, especially since it doesn't stop you from tilting your head so he can get to your neck.
"Well, you'll have the rest of our lives to get to know me," he nips at part of your collarbone that's exposed by your shirt and you hiss before gently pushing him away.
"Okay, this is nice."
That word again.
"But, just because you're interested in me and care about my daughter, that doesn't mean we should just jump into something. I still think the best thing would be for us to figure this out after Bug and I have our own place-"
"No."
You look confused, obviously thinking you misheard him.
"I'm sorry, you can't just say no, it doesn't work like that."
"But you can just decide to leave our home, with our daughter and for what? So we can do a worse version of what we've been doing? What purpose could that possibly serve?"
"Because this is too fast for me?"
"We already live together," Sukuna points out and knows this isn't the moment to mention he's the one who destroyed your apartment to make that happen.
"That doesn't mean we'll be good together."
"What exactly are you worried about? Do I not do my share of the chores?"
"No, that's fine."
"Do you not enjoy spending time with me?"
"Of course, I enjoy that," and he smiles smugly at that and pulls your arms gently so they loop around his neck.
"Do I not take of our daughter?"
You seem like you want to fight him on the 'our' but he goes back to kissing your neck and the way you tighten your grip lets him know you're getting distracted by the attention.
"She loves you," and that soothes the last bit of anger that had been present in Sukuna. Now, he was just ready to get started on the next part of your lives.
"Oh I see, so it's that I haven't been taking care of you? I'm so sorry for neglecting you. Don't worry, I can fix that right now."
Even if Sukuna kisses you a million times, he's never going to forget what it feels like to kiss you for the first time.
Your lips are soft and so warm. At first you don't react, your mouth still poised as if you're going to argue one last time, but then you're relaxing, leaning in and you give this sigh of relief and Sukuna knows you're hearing the same voice that he's hearing in his head.
This one.
Sukuna has long assumed that love and romance was nonsense shit for weak people who needed to find purpose. Sukuna wonders what it says about him that he thinks his purpose in life might have just been to find you.
You're kneeling on the chair now, Sukuna still hunched over so he can hold you. He's getting annoyed at the angle and how it's stopping him from feeling more of you and so he slides his hands down to your waist and pulls you up to him. With one hand on your hip, he uses his other to wind your right leg around him, you moving your left to follow suit. The new position has your core pressed up against where he's already half hard and you sigh into his mouth so beautifully, that he can't help but use the opportunity to explore your mouth.
It's hot and sloppy and so good that Sukuna moans and your legs tighten around his waist in response. The living room feels hot with every breath you exchange and he can hear the sounds you're making fill the space. Thinking about the child sleeping not nearly far enough away, Sukuna starts to walk you towards his room.
Even when he wants to be responsible and not have his first time with you interrupted by your daughter, he can't stop himself from pressing you up against the wall at least twice before you finally get to his room.
It's going to be your room now too, and he's so happy it disgusts him a little.
Sukuna has you pressed up against your door, one hand holding your waist and the other grabbing your ass so he can control the way you're rocking up to meet him. He angles you down a bit and you both moan at how the position lines you up to grind directly on his cock. There's too many layers separating you still, and it's that thought that pushes him to finally open the door.
He makes sure to lock the door behind you before he tosses you on his bed. On your bed. That's never going to get old.
He crawls over you and is back to kissing you into the mattress before you even have time to fully catch your breath. You're panting into his mouth and he nips at your top lip as you pull away to breath, catching it in his teeth. You don't need any prompting to spread your legs and he fits between them like he was meant to be there, letting his weight drop enough on you so you can feel him.
While he's excited to finally explore your body and see what he's been thinking about for months, he's having a hard time separating from you long enough to move any further than you are. Sukuna usually doesn't care much for kissing, but kissing you is different. He thinks he could kiss you all night even if his hard cock very much disagrees with that sentiment.
Fuck, if you kept grinding your cunt on him like you were, he may just come before he even gets inside you.
It's that thought that finally makes him get up on his knees to take his shirt off. You follow suit under him and he can't stop from kneeling down to kiss at your newly exposed skin. You're not wearing a bra and your tits are too perfect for him to ignore even for the sake of getting to your cunt.
These are the same tits that fed your child and will one day feed his and something about that gets to Sukuna in a way he hadn't ever really thought about before with other partners. It makes him softer, more gentle with his worship and you thread your fingers through his hair when he takes one of your nipples and sucks it gently in his mouth. He releases it so he can leave a few quick hickies around your chest. You're squirming so hard underneath him, he has to press you down with a thigh slotted between your legs to hold you still.
"Sukuna," you whine and he hushes you before leaving another mark under your collarbone.
"I'll get there, pretty girl. Just use my leg for now," he says continuing to leave marks wherever he can while you groan underneath him.
"I want you inside me," tempting but Sukuna is getting greedier the more desperate you are. Maybe if he fucks you hard enough, you'll stop thinking about stupid shit like needing your own apartment.
"I'll be inside you soon, I just want to taste a bit first. The way you are, I think humping my thigh will be enough to get you off," he teases and you whine, embarrassment clear in your voice. If you can still be embarrassed, more proof you're not ready for his cock in you. He presses against your cunt harder and he can feel the warmth of you on his thigh even through your leggings and his pants. He moves in a way more meant to tease than to provide you any relief and your frustration is clear when you start moving your hips to a faster, harder rhythm.
Sukuna smirks against your marked up throat when your whines start getting faster and closer together. You're still holding onto his shoulders when your grip tightens and you let out a gasp signaling your release.
Sukuna laughs meanly as you take in deep breaths, body still shaking from your orgasm. "Wow, someone was really pent up. No wonder you're having trouble thinking straight," he teases as he moves so he can take off his pants and boxers, giving his cock a quick stroke, drawing your hungry gaze down. "Don't worry, I got you. I'll give that tight cunt what it needs."
You pull him down so you can kiss him again and you're uncoordinated now, but Sukuna likes you better like this. Likes the proof that he's making you feel good. He presses down and your fingers scratch where his neck meets his scalp pulling out a moan that vibrates through his chest. He breaks off your kiss because he really does need to get inside you or he's going to come, and while the vision of you covered in his seed is a compelling one for another time, he plans on coming inside you first.
Sukuna pulls on your leggings until you get the hint and lift your legs so he can pull them off, leaving you in a pair of familiar blue panties. He laughs when he sees them and you come out of your daze a little bit, so he pulls them off too and tosses them aside so he can get to where you both want him.
Sukuna lightly touches your slit and smirks down at you when his fingers come away wet. Keeping eye contact with you he brings his fingers to his mouth and licks them clean and holds down your wrists with his free hand when you try to cover your face.
"All this just from my fucking thigh, just from some kissing. I'm starting to worry my cock might actually kill you."
You glare up at him and he grabs your leg as you try and kick him. "If you're so worried, maybe I should just leave then?"
Sukuna laughs and you gasp when he brings his fingers back down to you, slipping in two fingers to the knuckle. Your pussy is tight but you're so wet, he slides right in and he can't wait to get you on his cock. He brushes his thumb against your clit as he stretches you out, your voice leaving you in pants and gasps that are making him feel like a god.
"You're not going anywhere princess, not tonight, not on Monday, not next weekend," he moves so he's covering your body. His lips catching yours mid-moan. "When I'm done, you're going to be too tired to keep running from me."
He pulls his fingers out and you whine at the sudden emptiness but he keeps kissing you as he moves so his cock is touching your entrance. He moves it up and down, wetting himself in your slick. He cuts off your kiss so he can see your face, wants to look at you when he fucks into you for the first time. Finally getting some oxygen to your brain and the feeling of his cock pressing into you seems to bring your thinking back online.
"Wait, Sukuna, a condom," you say and he grins, not even pretending like he's thinking about it.
"We don't need a condom."
"Yes, we do, I'm not on birth control," you say and Sukuna has to tighten his grip on himself so he doesn't come.
"And?" He asks and he slips just the head in, you let out the cutest noise and your pussy clings to him as he pulls out.
"I-I could get pregnant, Sukuna!" He hums like he's actually thinking about as he presses in again, this time moving another inch into your tight cunt. It's teasing you both and he doesn't know how much longer he's going to be up for conversation as he pulls out only to thrust in, again just barely giving you his cock.
"Good, Bug wants a sibling. She was telling me how excited she'd be to be a big sister."
"Sukuna!"
"What? You don't think we'd make a cute kid? I think they'd be as beautiful and as brilliant as their mamma," Sukuna would take your protests more seriously if your pussy wasn't literally gushing. He could swear his balls were wet with your slick and you weren't even really fucking yet.
"This is a big commitment, Sukuna. It's not a joke."
"Good thing I'm not fucking joking then," Sukuna kisses you again and nothing beats the way you gasp into his mouth when his rubs the head of his cock against your clit. "You really want me to stop? Want me to go away? If you tell me you don't want my baby, that you don't want to be my little wife and grow our family, I'll go find a fucking condom. But I'm going to need you to tell me that. Make sure you're loud, princess. I'm a little distracted, right now."
You hesitate and Sukuna thinks he might actually have to try and figure out where he stashed his condoms, since he hadn't gotten laid in damn near six months when he feels your hands move to cup his face.
"And if I want that?"
Sukuna feels his heart skip a beat despite it all, your hands on his face feel just as intimate as all the rest, another way you continued to humble him.
"Want what, princess? Going to have to be more specific for me."
"All of it, the family, the baby, everything." You seem to be drawing on your courage and Sukuna is proud of you despite himself. "I want you, Sukuna."
Sukuna crashes his mouth into yours and you follow him willingly. He uses his hand to guide his cock into your cunt and you move your hips, greedy for him, as he slowly pushes in. When Sukuna is finally in all the way, he feels a warm contentment fall over him. Imagining this, it had always been defined by a frenzy that he finds absent in the actual event.
Maybe it's because you've finally acknowledged him and what he means in your life, but he doesn't feel desperate as he fucks into you slowly, his thrusts purposeful. He feels victorious. The satisfaction curls around his body and makes your lips sweeter, your hips fit even more right in his palms and your cunt wraps around him like it was molded to fit his cock. He doubts you were made for him, you were too good for that, but he had managed to get you anyway and you're recognition of his possession over you made him smile into your mouth.
He kept his pace slow, thrusting deep enough inside you each time that you couldn't stop the way your breath hitched at the feeling.
"Sukuna!"
"Yes, princess?"
"F-faster, please!"
"So polite, how could I say no," his voice is more breathless than he means it to be but he doesn't give a fuck. Not when your pussy is so sweet, or given the way you moan for him as he begins to pick up the pace. Sukuna loves the way you sound but he thinks of the little girl sleeping down the hall and he covers your mouth with his hand.
"Don't want to wake up our daughter, do we?" Something about that makes you tighten up and your eyes roll backwards and Sukuna thinks he knows what it is.
"Gotta make sure I can put this baby in you, right? You did so wonderful with the first one, I just got to see it happen again." You're moaning so loud Sukuna isn't sure his hand is doing much good, but you're both close enough he doesn't think about trying to stop you aside from a throw away thought about gagging you with your panties.
Oh well, thoughts for next time.
And the idea that there would be next times, that you were going to his to fuck anytime he wanted, had Sukuna reaching down to play with your clit. He could barely stand to pull out of you at all and at this point you two were more grinding than fucking but it was so good, you were so good-
"Come on princess, you're almost there. Be a good girl and come for me and I'll give you a baby, I promise. Just need to feel you come on my cock."
You bite his palm as he feels your cunt spasm and he only gets in another few thrusts before he's coming too and he hopes it takes. He presses his lips against your temple as you catch your breath and he continues to kiss your face as he feels himself soften inside of you.
Later, he'll clean the two of you up and finally get you under the covers. He'll get to hold you in his arms and feel what it's like to fall asleep with you. He'll also wake you up for another round so he can make sure Bug gets that little sibling he was now very excited to meet.
********
When Sukuna wakes up to you in his arms, he's debating waking you up for round three when he hears the sounds of sniffling and little footsteps outside. He gently moves your body off his arm and gives you a pillow to cuddle when your body turns to look for him. Your little pout in your sleep makes him feel bad for the trick but there's someone else who needs him right now.
Throwing on his pajamas, Sukuna makes his way out to the hallway, shutting the door behind him.
"Good morning, bug."
"Morning, 'kuna," your daughter is holding onto a little plush fox that Yuuji had won for her at an arcade a few weeks ago and she's still sniffling looking confused. He thinks he knows why.
"Your mom's asleep in my room, kiddo. She's okay, she's just sleeping."
"Why is she in there?"
This is a loaded question and Sukuna knows he should probably ask you on how you plan on introducing your relationship to your daughter, but he feels that same unsettled feeling when he looks at her sad face now that he had felt looking at your tears the night before.
Sukuna leans down and holds out his arms and Bug goes to him, trusting despite her confusion, and he picks her up and carries her to kitchen. He puts her down on the counter so she's as close to his eye level as she can get given her size and he decides to be honest with her.
"You know how I love your mom?" Bug nods her head and Sukuna feels warm. "Well she loves me too, so we decided we're going to share a room from now on."
"Forever?"
"Yeah kid, it's going to be forever."
"Can I sleep with you too?"
Sukuna smirks and then kisses her forehead. "Sometimes, but you're going to want to stay in your new big girl room I think. It's way cooler than the boring adult room."
"Big girl room?" Her eyes widen and there's a familiar gleam of ambition.
He's got her.
"Well now that it's your own room", and her eyes just get even bigger at that. "You're going to need all your own stuff to make it yours."
"All mine?"
"All yours, Bug. At least until you have a little brother or sister, you may have to share then. Would that be okay?"
"Yes!"
Bug jumps on the counter and then into Sukuna's arms and he holds her close to him as she burrows her face into his neck. He breathes in the smell of her hair and he's so relieved now that he knows she's going to stay here forever, that you both are.
"Does that mean we're going to stay with you?"
"Uh huh, you're stuck with me. I'm never leaving."
Bug pulls back and holds out her pinky finger. "Promise?"
"Yeah, kid, I promise."
Many, many years from now, at your thirtieth wedding anniversary, Bug will stand up and tell the story about the day Sukuna became her dad. Her mom, her siblings, her Uncle Yuuji and many attendees will cry, but Sukuna will maintain his dry eyes and his dignity.
Or that's what anyone should say when asked.
He'll still kill a motherfucker.
That's it, it's the end! I may return to this universe in little drabbles but the main story is done! As a fatherless daughter, ending it with Bug was very necessary to me. I also think a big part of this story is Sukuna finding fulfillment in the family he was denied growing up(projecting is the name of the game here).
Much love.

you make you so easy
dick grayson x reader / fluff
âStop following me.â
âOh, did you want me to walk beside you? Hold your hand?â
You abruptly stop walking and shoot a glare up into the shadows of the nearby alley. You currently canât see him, but you know heâs in there somewhere.
âI am trying to go home. After a long day,â you reply, âAlone.â
Nightwing melts out of the shadows, lips in a pout. âCome on, babe,â he whines, âI said sorry!â
You just shake your head and continue walking. âStop following me, Nightwing. I wonder what the media would think, a vigilante stalking an innocent civilian and not leaving them alone?â
Some clicking and a whoosh of the air lets you  know heâs on the chase again. Gotham has never been a particularly safe place to walk alone after dark, even after the Bats rose to the occasion. The goons and villains made it hard, for sure, but the crumbling infrastructure of the city was just the icing on the cake. Buses and the train donât run late, leaving a long walk in uncomfortable shoes after being stood up on a date.
âThe media,â comes the reply, voice dripping with pride, âwould simply see one of their beloved vigilantes doing their job! Nothing wrong with that.â
God, you hate he isnât even out of breath keeping up with you. Not like youâre walking that fast, but still. You hope he trips.
âMaybe if the media knew what a dick you are, one that stands up their partner on a date theyâve been planning for months, specifically to not be interrupted!â You snap, unable to keep the simmering anger down. Fuck, if you werenât angry about it, youâd cry. Inhaling slowly, you curl your hands into fists with determination to not make a scene. You stomp on.
Itâs silent for a moment. For two. You would have thought he left if you didnât know any better.
When Nightwing speaks, his voice is heavy. âLook, I know. I was looking forward to tonight too, butââ
You shake your head. When you breathe out, all the fight you had left. âI get it. I do. I justâ let me be upset about it. Okay?â
You donât get a reply or hear anything, but you know heâs still keeping pace. Itâs nothing he can refute anyways. The both of you kept this day clear for months. Itâs not often your dates can be more than a relaxed one at home, or spur of the moment. Not that you didnât love those kinds of dates, of course you did, but itâs nice to dress up and show up for each other. You continue on your path on the crumbling side walk, only thinking about how nice itâll be to be out of these shoes and in comfortable pajamas, maybe drink a glass of wine or two while ignoring your idiot of a partner.
As you pass through a darker portion of the street, a figure flips down in front of you. You stop abruptly lest you crash into them, but it doesnât matter when you trip on a stray pebble and tumble right into waiting arms.
The arms curl around you tighter, rather than letting go.
âIâm sorry,â Dick murmurs into your ear. âIâm really sorry. I told them not to call me in but, fuckâŠâ
You stand still as he digs his face into neck. A small crackle distracts you, talking too muffled for you to make anything out, though you know what this means. A hefty sigh runs through your body and you lean your head onto Dickâs shoulder briefly before prying him off.
âDuty calls,â you say softly, staring into lifeless white lenses. You look over him. Heâs tense, body standing firmly on his feet in a way you know means heâs going to be stubborn. Suddenly, he clenches his jaw and looks away from you, yet he still doesnât leave.
Lifting a hand, you softly trace his jaw up to his mask. With a small smile, you whisper âGo.â
âIâll be as home as soon as I can,â Dick kisses the palm of your hand, and then like a tornado, flips away in a flurry off to whatever disaster is wrecking Gotham this time. You shake your head softly and start moving again.
Before you know it, youâre in bed, eyes blinking blearily as you turn on your phone. 4:43. Whyâre youâ?
âDid I wake you?â
Hands crawl over your waist, gently tugging you back into a chest. You can barely register the kisses on your neck before turning around to face Dick to croak out âDâya jâs git hâme?â
You arenât even sure your eyes are open, but you can still see Dick Grayson through the low lighting. Even while exhausted, he radiates light. He stares at you, hand brushing hair out of your eyes. âGo back to bed.â
âHm.â is all you can manage before darkness takes over you.
The next time you wake up, a dim light shines through the blinds and you feel significantly more awake. You yawn and stretch out your body. Sitting up, something catches the edge of your eye. You look over and jump. Leaning against the doorway with coffee in hand, stands Dick Grayson. Oversized shirt, sweatpants, barefoot with eyes still half-closed, he looks beautiful.
You narrow your eyes and look to his side of the bed. Empty. You look over at the doorway. Dick. Bed. Doorway. No Dick. Dick. âYou,â croaking, you point to the figure, âWho are you and what did you do with my boyfriend?â
Dick only raises and eyebrow and walks over, hand brushing messy hair of of your eyes. âAm I not allowed to get up early?â
You shake your head. âAbsolutely not. Youâre supposed to still be in bed until noon,â
âWell,â he smiles before pushing a thumb on your forehead, tilting your head backwards. You straighten up and give him a look. âGet up. We have somewhere to be,â
Standing up, you reach your hands above your head and stretch. âIs it important?â
You wander to the bathroom, flipping the lights on and yawning. Dick drifts over and watches you brush your teeth from the doorway as he takes another sip. âSuper important. I have a full day of making up to do with my very angry partner.â
The statement makes a wave of butterflies go through you. Washing your mouth out, you look at his reflection in the mirror. âAre you being serious?â
Dickâs reflection nods. âVery serious,â he replies, bright grin overtaking his features, âFunded by Bruce, too. As an apology.â
Now that statement makes you smile. You quickly turn around, affection bubbling within you and threatening to spill over. Stepping towards Dick, you gently push the coffee out of the way and capture his lips in a long kiss. Just as it starts to get seriousâ invoking a different kind of butterfliesâ you pull away.
Dick stares at you with a dazed expression. Â âIâll be quick,â you promise.
âI mean,â he mumbles, leaning towards you presumably to finish what you started, âWe donât have to leave right away⊠We could take a minuteââ
A peck cuts him off. Dick immediately tries to deepen the kiss, but you just pull away and push him out of the doorway so you can close the bathroom door.
âSave that for later, Grayson,â you smirk. Just before the door shuts, you lift on eyebrow. âBy the time Iâm out of this bathroom, you better be ready to go. Iâm not wasting a single minute today.â
The door clicks shut. You hear him chuckle and call out an affirmation. Turning back to the mirror so you can finish your morning routine, you look at yourself. Bright eyes, blushed cheeks, wide grin. You werenât lying to him, you werenât going to waste a single minute today. That included after you get home from your outing together. Dick definitely needed a punishment after yesterday, and you intend to make him learn his lesson all night long.
Well. You better get ready.
fin.

As your mother and father stormed out of your room, they slammed the door with a force that rattled the walls, leaving you alone with your brother in the suffocating silence that followed. The finality of that door slamming shut felt like an ominous punctuationâa statement that there was no turning back.
You stood frozen, your heart pounding so loudly that it drowned out the echo of their footsteps retreating down the hall. A knot tightened in your throat as the weight of their words crashed over you, a tidal wave of shame and dread. You forced yourself to take deep, steady breaths, trying desperately to hold back the tears that threatened to spill over. The last thing you wanted was for your brother to see you like thisâvulnerable, broken, on the verge of falling apart.
Is that it? you wondered, panic clawing at your insides. Is this really it? Am I actually getting kicked out? The thought left you feeling hollow, like everything you had ever counted on had been stripped away in a single, merciless instant.
Your mind raced, leaping to thoughts of your futureâor what little was left of it. Everything youâd worked for, everything youâd dreamed of, felt like it was slipping through your fingers, unraveling faster than you could piece it back together. You could see the edges of your life falling away. Your education, your home, the support you once took for granted. All of it was disappearing, leaving only the stark reality of an uncertain path ahead.
You clenched your hands, digging your nails into your palms to anchor yourself, trying to stave off the wave of despair building inside you. It felt like your world was caving in, each piece of your carefully planned life crumbling in a way that seemed beyond repair.
Your brother shifted beside you, breaking the silence as he cleared his throat, his face etched with worry. He reached out a tentative hand, hovering as if unsure whether to comfort you or respect the fragile space youâd created between yourself and your emotions.
Your brotherâs hand finally found your shoulder, his touch gentle but grounding. His silence spoke louder than words, and for a moment, it was all you could rely on. Even though he didnât know what to say, his presence gave you something solid to hold onto in the midst of the chaos unraveling inside you.
âYou donât have to leave,â he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. âTheyâre just⊠angry. Theyâll come around. Maybe if we just talk to them tomorrow, things will calm down.â
You shook your head, the harsh reality already settling into place. âNo, Suguru.. you heard them. They were serious. They want me gone.â
He looked down, his brows knitted together in frustration. âBut where will you go? You canât just⊠be out there by yourself.â The helplessness in his voice mirrored your own fear, but even he didnât have a solution.
You glanced around your roomâthe bed youâd grown up in, the books youâd loved and underlined, the photos on the wall capturing fragments of happier moments, times when things were simpler, manageable. Each item felt like a piece of the life you were about to lose, like a museum of memories that would soon be locked away from you forever.
The silence between you and your brother grew heavy, and as much as you wanted to break it, words failed you. What could you say? That youâd made a mistake? That you hadnât meant for any of this to happen? (You hadnât) But they all sounded hollow, too small to carry the weight of what you were facing.
Finally, your brother spoke, his voice determined. âYou donât have to do this alone. Weâll figure something out. You can live at my apartmentâuntil you have a plan, at least. I donât really use it, so donât worry. Iâll help you. Whatever you need, Iâll be here.â
His words offered a sliver of hope, but even as you nodded, uncertainty lingered. You knew your brother meant well, but deep down, you both understood how complicated it would be for him to go against your parentsâ wishes. Theyâd raised him with the same expectations, the same rulesâand while his heart was with you, his loyalty was torn.
But still, the idea of having somewhere to go, even if only temporarily, softened the blow just enough for you to breathe.
âThank you,â you murmured, your voice barely audible, but your gratitude was genuine. You reached for him, wrapping your arms around him tightly. The hug was the only comfort you had at that moment, the only thing anchoring you against the overwhelming feeling of loss and uncertainty.
After a long silence, he pulled back slightly, his face determined. âGo pack a few things. Whatever you need tonight. Weâll get out of here quietly. Iâll take care of the rest.â
-
Gojo leaned back in his chair, the squeak of the metal legs against the floor barely audible over the low murmur of his classmates. He absentmindedly tapped a pen against his notebook, the rhythmic click-click of it matching the unease simmering in his chest. His gaze drifted out the classroom window, where the afternoon sun cast long shadows on the pavement. It had been weeks since heâd last seen you, and that last encounter in the classroom felt like it had happened yesterday, every moment still vividly etched in his mind.
He recalled the way the quiet hum of the schoolâs empty corridors amplified every soundâthe soft, breathy gasps you made, the rush of your breathing as he pressed you against the cool surface of the wall. It was intoxicating, each detail replaying in his head like a film on repeat. But oddly enough, it pained him that he hadnât seen you since then.
At first, he shrugged it off, convincing himself that you were just playing hard-to-get or perhaps needed some space after everything that had happened. After all, it wasnât uncommon for someone to need time to collect themselves after an encounter with himâ he had that effect on people. But as the days turned into weeks, that initial dismissal turned into a dull, nagging worry that gnawed at him.
Gojo tried to push the thoughts aside, telling himself that youâd show up eventually, that it was just a phase. But your absence had created an odd emptiness in his daily routine, a persistent itch he couldnât quite scratch. He was used to you being there, your presence a strange but comforting constant, and now that comfort was replaced with a gnawing curiosity.
Then there was Suguru, your brother, whose steady presence at school made everything feel even stranger. He carried on with his day as though nothing had changed, greeting Gojo with his usual casual indifference, yet he never mentioned you. Gojo found himself watching Suguru more closely than he intended, searching for any hint or sign that might explain your absence. He could feel the itch of curiosity clawing at him, but part of him resisted asking outright. He didnât want to seem like he cared too much, but every time he spotted Suguru without you, that curiosity intensified.
Had something happened to you? Did you get sick? Or had you simply decided to avoid him? The thought was uncomfortably unsettling, and he brushed it aside, frustrated with himself for even considering it.
It was frustrating. Gojo couldnât quite understand why you were occupying so much of his mind. At first, he tried to blame it on Suguruâyour brother was a constant reminder of you, after allâbut heâd grown accustomed to that long ago. It wasnât like him to fixate on anyone, especially someone who usually melted into the background. And yet, here he was, replaying that last encounter in his mind, scanning hallways, and lingering just a bit longer outside your classes, hoping to catch a glimpse of you.
He could chalk it up to boredom, a simple distraction to stave off the monotony of his day-to-day life. But deep down, he knew that there was something more than that. The thrill of teasing you, the way your face would scrunch up in irritation when he pushed you down in the hallwaysâit was strangely addictive. You had become his little victim, a source of amusement that made the slow days feel bearable. Now that you were gone, it left a void he couldnât fill.
He hated admitting it, but he missed picking on you. The thought made his jaw clench, and a twisted grin crept across his face. Maybe heâd overestimated his hold over you, convinced that you would always be there for him to mess with. Or perhaps this was some kind of game you were playing, deliberately making him feel your absence, and it annoyed him even more.
Days continued to pass without a sign of you, and then, one morning, Suguru didnât show up to school. Gojo was caught off guard by the emptiness in the usual spots where heâd see his friend. Normally, Suguru was as dependable as clockwork, always showing up right on time, effortlessly composed and ready to move through the day. Gojo couldnât help but feel a strange twist in his stomach, wondering if something had happened. Maybe Suguruâs absence was tied to yours?
When Suguru finally returned the next day, he lookedâŠoff. His usually neat hair was slightly disheveled, his clothes a bit rumpled. There was an exhausted heaviness in his steps, and dark shadows under his eyes made him look as though he hadnât slept all night. Gojoâs eyes followed him as he trudged through the school halls, quieter than usual, avoiding small talk and slipping into his seat without so much as a glance at anyone.
It was unlike Suguru to be this way. He barely looked up during the lunch break, barely mumbled a response when someone tried to talk to him. And Gojo could feel the unspoken weight hanging over him like a shadowâan air of tension, of something strained and unresolved. It made Gojoâs curiosity burn even stronger, a gnawing need to know what had happened.
But when Gojo finally approached him, Suguru only glanced up, his gaze tired and distant, and muttered a soft, âNot today, Satoru.â There was a finality in his tone, a closed-off energy that Gojo hadnât seen before. It was clear that Suguru was carrying something heavy, something he wasnât readyâor willingâto share.
And somehow, that only made his thoughts drift back to you. The emptiness left by your absence grew sharper, more pointed, and with it came a sinking feeling that whatever was happening with SuguruâŠwas connected to you.
Gojo scoffed, shaking his head at himself as he tried to push thoughts of you aside. Why was he even letting you get to him? It wasnât like him to dwell on anyone, let alone someone whoâd gone MIA after a single hookup. He had more important things to think aboutâbetter distractions to keep himself entertained. Besides, if you were going to play hard-to-get or whatever this was, then that was on you.
With a lazy smirk, he glanced around the classroom, letting his gaze settle on a few familiar faces. Plenty of girls would kill for his attentionâ he didnât need to waste any more time thinking about you. Heâd spent weeks hoping for some sign of you, but maybe it was time he reminded himself of how easy it was to move on.
After class, he slipped out of the room, his stride slow and confident as he scanned the hallways. Within minutes, he found what he was looking forâan upperclassman lingering by her locker, eyeing him with a coy smile. Heâd seen her around before, noticed the way her gaze lingered whenever he passed by.
Perfect.
With a quick sweep of his hair, he put on that easy charm, the one that always drew people in, and walked over, leaning casually against the lockers beside her. âHey,â he said, his voice low and smooth. âLong day?â
The girl blinked, caught off guard for a second before her lips curled into a smile. âNot anymore,â she replied, a blush creeping up her cheeks.
Gojo grinned, already shifting into the familiar rhythm of flirting that he knew so well. Within moments, they were leaning close, sharing secretive whispers and low laughs, her hand resting on his arm as she hung onto every word he said. He had a way of making them feel special, as if they were the only person in the world. He knew exactly what to say, how to let his gaze linger just long enough to make them squirm.
As he let the conversation drift into something more suggestive, he found himself glancing around, almost instinctively, half-expecting to catch a glimpse of you walking by. He mentally cursed himself for it, forcing himself to focus on the girl in front of him, but there was still that nagging sense of dissatisfaction. Even though he had her wrapped around his finger, it didnât feel quite the same. She was willing, easy, and there was no thrill, no challenge. It feltâŠhollow.
For a moment, he wondered if this was just another way to forget you, a way to scratch an itch that wasnât going away as easily as heâd hoped. The idea bothered him, and he dismissed it as quickly as it came. You didnât matterâhe was Gojo Satoru. He had girls practically throwing themselves at him every day. There was no reason he should be hung up on you.
-
The apartment was quietâtoo quiet. Days slipped by in a gray monotony as you tried to settle into a space that felt as foreign as a strangerâs closet. There was nothing in the room that felt like you, just the sparse furniture your brother had left behind: a sagging couch with sunken cushions, a bed pushed awkwardly against the wall, and a handful of mismatched kitchen items. There were no family photos, no cozy blankets, not even a single potted plant to add life to the place. It was a hollow shell, his empty, seldom-used apartment, and now it was yoursâa place to hide, but far from a home.
When you first came here, you thought you might be able to reach out, maybe even find comfort in a friendâs familiar voice. But the silence on the other end of the line grew heavier with each unanswered message. Some of your texts were left unread, others were marked âseenâ and ignored. Youâd started to convince yourself that somehow, they knew. They had to know about your mistake, your situation, and it was easier for them to turn away than to get involved. You could almost imagine their silent judgment, the whispers they might share when you werenât around.
You felt backed into a corner, as if the world had abandoned you just when you needed it most. The shame felt insurmountable, an invisible wall that stopped you from trying again, that convinced you this loneliness was what you deserved.
You could barely feel it âthe life inside you, growing silently, quietly, but undeniably there. Sometimes, youâd catch yourself resting a hand on your stomach without even realizing, feeling for something that wasnât quite there yet, but knowing soon it would be. A thousand questions swirled in your mind. What kind of life would this child have? Would they hate you for the world you brought them into, for the choices youâd made that they would have to live with? The thought was like a chill running through your veins, paralyzing and real in a way nothing else was.
Then, late at night, as the hours stretched out, other thoughts would creep inâthoughts you tried to push away, but that stubbornly returned. Abortion. You felt the word like a weight in your chest, a tightness that you couldnât swallow, but that was always there. In the dead silence of the apartment, you sometimes let yourself entertain the thought, if only for a moment, thinking how much easier it might be to turn away from this path. But then the guilt would wash over you, sinking deeper with every beat of your heart. It was a decision you couldnât bring yourself to make, no matter how overwhelming everything felt.
You werenât even sure you could hold your own life together, let alone bring another one into it. You hated feeling so trapped, as though every choice led to pain, no matter what you did. The idea of being a mother, of taking on this monumental responsibility, filled you with a dread that was hard to admit. It was as if each new day only added to a burden you were too afraid to carry yet too scared to set down. The future felt murky and shadowed, a looming unknown that swallowed up every glimmer of hope.
Sometimes, youâd find yourself standing by the window, gazing down at the quiet, dimly lit street below, lost in thoughts of an alternate life. What would it feel like to walk away from all this weight, to leave the fear and uncertainty behind? You let yourself imagine itâa life where you were free again, unburdened. But even as the fantasy flickered in your mind, there was a small, stubborn part of you that held on, that whispered maybe. Maybe you could carry this through. Maybe, despite everything, you could find a way to make this work.
To keep yourself grounded, you tried to build a routine. Every morning, youâd scroll through endless job listings, though each one felt like a reminder of the uncertainty surrounding you. Most positions didnât seem right or possible for you now, but you kept looking. It was something to hold onto, some kind of structure when everything else felt like it was slipping through your fingers. You even organized the sparse kitchen, setting up the cabinets with a kind of precise care, as if putting things in order on the outside could bring some calm to the chaos inside.
One evening, as you sat cross-legged on the couch, the hum of distant traffic barely filled the silence. You stared at your phone screen, absentmindedly picking at a loose thread on the couch cushion. Loneliness settled over you, thick and heavy, amplified by the silence that had become so familiar. It was almost stifling, forcing you to confront thoughts youâd tried hard to avoid.
You missed your family, even if things between you had become strained. You missed the comforting predictability of home, the familiar sounds, the routine. Here, each day felt hollow and directionless, like floating in a fog with no sense of where you were headed. Sometimes, youâd sit there waiting, hoping for something to change, some sign that things would be okay, but the realization that it was entirely up to you weighed heavily.
A knock at the door jolted you out of your thoughts, sharp and unexpected in the stillness. Your heart gave a nervous jump as you hesitated, then forced yourself to cross the room. The apartment was usually so quiet, every sound amplified in the emptiness, and this interruption felt almost intrusive. Taking a breath to steady yourself, you opened the door to see the mailman standing there, holding a small, official-looking envelope in his hand.
âHere you go. Have a nice day,â he said with a nod, handing it over before turning to leave.
You mumbled a thank-you, barely audible, closing the door slowly as you stared down at the envelope. The stiff paper, the way your name was printed in impersonal black inkâit all radiated a sense of cold formality that sent a wave of dread curling in your stomach. You tore it open with shaking hands, telling yourself it was probably just another notice, a formality from the school.
But as your eyes scanned the letter, a sickening realization washed over you. It wasnât just a reminder or a request for information. It was a notificationâa final, official statement that youâd been dropped from school because of unpaid tuition. Your parents had stopped covering your fees without any warning, leaving the balance unpaid. And because you hadnât attended in weeks, the school had processed it as a withdrawal.
You read the words again, trying to make sense of them, as if they would change on a second pass. But they stayed the same, cold and unyielding, spelling out a reality you hadnât prepared for. The letter offered no alternatives, no appeal. Either you somehow paid the balance yourself, or you would be permanently removed from the roster.
A numb disbelief settled over you as you sank onto the couch, clutching the letter tightly. Theyâd actually done it. Theyâd cut you off without a word, leaving you adrift, stripped of the one place youâd thought you could depend on. A mix of anger and hurt bubbled up inside you, but the betrayal was what stung the most.
Your mind raced, thoughts colliding in a frantic spiral. What would you do now? Leaving school meant giving up on so many thingsâdreams youâd quietly held onto, plans that seemed so certain not long ago. It was like everything youâd worked toward, every late night studying and early morning hustle, had been erased in an instant. This wasnât just a setbackâ it felt like a wall youâd crashed into with no way around.
Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes, but you swallowed them back, forcing yourself to press your lips into a hard line. There was no one you could turn to for help, no one who could wave a magic wand and fix this.
You sat there on the couch, feeling the weight of the letter in your hand like a stone, its meaning sinking in deeper and deeper. The room seemed even colder, emptier, as if the walls themselves were closing in on you. Every step youâd taken had been building toward something, and now that path was gone, wiped away in the span of a single letter.
No matter what mistakes youâd made, youâd never expected your own family to cut you off đŹđš đđšđŠđ©đ„đđđđ„đČ. You wanted to scream, to call them, to make them hear you and see what theyâd doneâbut that door felt closed too, like an argument already lost. The bitter realization settled inâ of course they werenât going to reach out- they werenât going to help. Afterall, they were the ones that kicked you out in the first place.
You glanced down at your phone, your fingers hovering over the screen as you debated sending another message to one of your friends. Maybe you could explain everything, maybe theyâd understand, maybe theyâd reach back and give you a lifeline. But a familiar fear held you back. The weight of your situation, your mistake, felt too heavy to burden anyone else with, and every time you imagined reaching out, a voice in the back of your mind reminded you that they hadnât been there for you before. Why would they be there now?
The silence in the apartment grew louder, pressing in on you until it was almost unbearable. Desperate for a distraction, you got up and wandered aimlessly through the small space, moving things around on the counter, straightening the already-neat cupboards, just doing anything to keep your hands busy. But the distraction was short-lived, and the reality of your situation crept back in.
The future felt terrifyingly empty, an open void where all your plans used to be. The only clear thing was that you had no other choice now but to figure this out on your own. Slowly, a stubborn resolve began to build beneath the panic. You were here, alone, but that didnât mean you had to stay stuck. Maybe, somehow, you could make this work. You could find a job, save up, find a way to get back into school. It felt like an impossible task, but it was the only path left.
With a deep breath, you grabbed your laptop and opened up a job-search site, scrolling through the endless list of options. Most were dead endsâpart-time retail or night shifts that didnât even pay enough to cover the rent suguru is payinh. But you forced yourself to keep looking, moving through page after page, searching for anything that might be a start, a way forward.
The hours slipped by, the weight of the decision settling over you like a cold blanket, but you kept scrolling, kept hoping that something would spark the possibility of change.
After what felt like hours scrolling through listings and filling out applications, your eyes grew tired, the screen blurring in front of you. You needed air, space to breathe, to feel something other than the weight pressing down on your chest. With a sigh, you closed your laptop, abandoning it on the couch, and made your way over to the small balcony just off the living room.
Stepping outside, you were greeted by the crisp night air, a chill that wrapped around you, cutting through the dullness. The street below was quiet, dim streetlights casting long shadows across the empty pavement. Leaning against the railing, you closed your eyes and took a deep breath, letting the cold settle into your skin, grounding you, if only for a moment. The city felt vast from here, stretching out endlessly, full of people going about their lives, yet here you were, feeling like the only one left adrift.
As you opened your eyes, you gazed out over the neighborhood, the distant hum of cars a low, steady comfort. For a fleeting moment, you felt a strange sense of freedom, as if up here on this balcony, the problems inside couldnât quite reach you. It was quiet, peaceful even, the world below carrying on, oblivious to your struggles.
Youâd imagined such a different future, one where youâd be surrounded by friends, pursuing your passions, finding yourself. But now? It all felt like a distant memory, something that had happened to someone else entirely.
The sky above was cloudy, with only a few stars managing to peek through. You stared up, trying to find some kind of sign, something to remind you that you werenât entirely alone, that maybe there was still a chance for things to change.
You stayed there a while, letting the cold numb the tension in your body, staring into the distance, thinking about what youâd do next. The thought of reaching out for help gnawed at you, yet you couldnât bring yourself to take that step. Maybe it was pride, or maybe it was just the fear of rejection. Either way, you knew that whatever came next would be up to you.
Your gaze drifted downward, tracing the shapes of the buildings, the shadows cast by streetlights, when a familiar flash of white caught your eye. Your heart clenched involuntarily. Gojo.
He was strolling down the sidewalk, his stride as arrogant and carefree as ever, his laughter echoing faintly up toward you. His arm was draped around the shoulders of a girl who leaned into him, her face turned up toward him with a bright smile, entirely captivated. They looked close, intimate, like they were the only two people in the world. Watching them, a dull ache pulsed in your chest, stirring a cocktail of emotions you didnât want to face.
You gripped the railing tighter, your knuckles whitening. Memories clawed their way up, memories of himâof his smirk, his mocking words, the way heâd cornered you like he had every right. Gojo had always been cruel, but he wielded his charm like a weapon, drawing people in only to watch them squirm when he showed his true colors. He had treated you the same way, toying with you, using you, and then discarding you without a second thought.
The girl beside him had no idea, you thought bitterly. She was seeing the Gojo who played his part so well, the smooth talker, the charmer, the boy who seemed like he could do no wrong. But you knew better. You knew what lay beneath that mask, the callousness he could hide behind his easy smiles. And now, there he was, laughing without a care, completely untouched by everything heâd done to you, while you were left to piece yourself back together.
A cold, bitter anger welled up inside you, mingling with the helplessness you tried so hard to ignore. He had stolen something from youâsomething you could never get back. He is the reason you got kicked out and have a hard life now.
And yet here he was, walking down the street as if nothing had happened, as if you didnât exist, a careless reminder of how easily heâd been able to walk away from the pain heâd caused.

Okay for the birds. Since you asked so nicely. (And because I am on my knees BEGGING for crumbs of this!!!) How would they react to reader living in a run down apartment? Like it takes a lot of money to keep a studio going, even with such... passionate attendees. Yeah they spoil reader at the studio, but what about seeing reader out and about? At home, out shopping?
For Scarlet Macaw Bird Hybrids the colony keeps coming at you like theyâre vultures. Theyâre greedy for your cum, needy for the tight clench of your fat cunt milking their cocks dry, desperate for your cries of pleasure and who can force them out of you, and they crave the feel of your pliable flesh in their loving hands as they take you over and over again.
Theyâve all lost themselves in you, as if youâve pulled a veil of lust over their eyes and they are nothing but mindless machines set for your pleasure. Itâs all they want. To feel that deep connection with you, their precious mate.
One after the other they fuck you dumb, bringing you release after release. Even as your body grows more tired they can see the need in your eyes and they wonât stop until their mate is fully satisfied.
As your next orgasm crashes into you, your eyes roll back, your body no longer having the strength to fully seize and shudder with the sheer force of your pleasure.
Your mates currently taking care of you each unload a hefty amount of cum inside your gushing walls. It isnât until they slip out of you to lightly peck kisses along your face that they realized they fucked you till you passed out.
All the bird hybrids coo at you in worry, their wings flapping as they surround your plush fucked out form. All limp and beautiful. Their hands lovingly caress every inch of your body, making sure youâre alright.
âIâll take her to her human apartment. Make sure she gets there safe,â one of the bird hybrids speak up.
Instantly a chorus of over bird hybrids chirp out their disagreement. All of them wanting to be the one who takes you home and tucks you into bed. Anything just to be with you for a little bit longer and to take care of you. But the first bird hybrid stands his ground and insists.
Taking you into his arms he begins to fly you home. You had never shown any of the bird hybrids in the colony where you lived but a few started following you home after your night class with them and soon after everyone knew where you lived and would follow you to make sure you got home safe after that class.
Silly humans would call it stalking. But they were only looking after you! They made sure you never got hurt and hurt anyone who dared try.
You didnât live in a very good neighborhood after all, putting most of your money into your studio, so they had to take care of you. Even if that meant scaring off anyone who looked at you funny or with any interest.
But none of the birds had ever been inside your apartment before. As the bird hybrid uses your key to enter, his eyes widen in horror at the sight of your run down apartment. Their mate could not live like this. Not under their watch.
After tucking you into bed, the bird hybrid gets out his phone and enters their colony group chat dedicated specifically to talking about you.
âOUR MATE IS LIVING IN SHAMBLES!â The bird hybrid texts into the chat to convey his panic. Seconds later and the group chat is blowing up.
âI knew we didn't pay ânough for her classes!"
"Should demand she raise themâŠ"
"Do dance teachers get random bonuses?"
âWould she feel insulted if we gave her money at the end of classes after weâve fucked her raw?â
âNot if sheâs too blissed out to notice us slipping the money in her bag.â
âNah, she wouldnât like. I think the humans call it Prosâ Pollution? Or Hookâ something to do with fishing, I donât know. Itâs not a good idea.â
âThatâs not the point! What are we going to do about this? We canât allow this to continue,â the bird hybrid types, interrupting their rambling.
âCould always take her back to the nestâŠâ one hybrid suggests. He thinks about it for a moment before he shakes his head.
âAn idea for another day. She wouldnât go for it now. We need to fix up her place until sheâs ready.â The bird hybrid with you concludes.
As you sleep the bird hybrid plans for everything. He sends for a whole bunch of them to head over to your apartment. A team of them flying around and taking what they need to help fix up your apartment while another team prepares the place for work.
When everyone arrives at your apartment things quickly dissolve into chaos. Of course, all the Bird Hybrids want to see you first sleeping all pretty and fucked out in your bed. The Hybrids at that night class immediately start boasting about how good they fucked you and others immediately raise their voices, pleading their own case.
Itâs only when you shift on the bed that the Bird Hybrid that brought you home immediately shushes them.
âStop, stop, stop! We canât wake her,â he whispers.
Their eyes all fall back onto you, silently watching your plush figure squirm and settle back on the bed. The small action alone causing them to get a little hard and they have to force themselves not to clamber onto the bed and wake you up.
No, instead they get to work. Upgrading your apartment in every possible way they know how. Cleaning it up and making it into a real home. While also enforcing it and making sure youâre the safest person in the neighborhood.
Creating the near perfect nest. Only second to their own they hope to bring you to someday.
They canât wait for you to finally wake up. They all imagine the look on your face when you rouse from your slumber to see them all there and your apartment completely changed. But most of all⊠they canât wait for the thank you gifts youâre bound to give them all.
You have to break in your new apartment somehow, donât you?

Gaz's relaxed and warm morning in his mountain of blankets was soon interrupted by the loud clanging around in your shared kitchen. He groaned as he tousled his messy hair and tried to look for his phone. "Jesus, 7 am, really Y/N?" he muttered as the bright screen of his phone lit up the room. He wondered what trouble you had gotten into while he was away.
You had been his roommate for about a year now but it felt even shorter due to him consistently being called away on duty and your busy work schedule. You were friendly, sure, and on occasion a bit flirtatious but at the end of the day, you were just another facet of his life. You were just someone to collect the mail, take care of the dust, and occasionally make sure his room wasn't crawling with bugs. You had somehow managed to accomplish such while doing it so attractively. Wait what was he saying, you were his roommate after all. Just a young professional needing a place and not caring about his infrequent stays. But on the other hand, you were his age and he always had suspected you might fancy him when you joked about sharing a one-bedroom apartment for "the benefits." His thoughts were interrupted by a loud "FUCK" and crashing emanating from the hallway. He hurriedly ripped off the sheets and ran down the hall to assess what was going on.
The last thing he expected was to see you, baby bottle in hand, and a baby on your hip. "Jesus!" you jumped as he emerged into the kitchen, "when the hell did you get home?" He relaxed, seeing that the kitchen wasn't on fire and you weren't fighting some early morning burglar. "Last night," he replied before returning to looking at the baby. He looked at it as if it was an alien, "was I really gone that long?" he asked almost afraid to hear the response. It took you a minute to process his question but you quickly covered your mouth to stifle a laugh. "Oh my god, no, no, he isn't mine," you said through laughs that made your sides hurt. "my kid sister dropped him off this morning. I agreed to help out and look after him for the day." With that, the baby cooed and tried to reach to hold your hand as you relented and looked back at Gaz. "I would have definitely cleared this with you, but I didn't expect you back so early," you sighed as you tried to calm the small bundle trying to put your fingers in his mouth. You took a brief look around the kitchen and noticed how much of a mess you had caused trying to prepare some milk, "I promise I'll clean up once I've set him down."
"No worries," he replied as he made his way into the kitchen to make some coffee, "I was gonna say you look a little too good to have just given birth." You felt your face flush and before you could reply or even give him an introduction to your nephew, the bottle of formula was knocked out of your hands. "Oh for the love of God," you swore as you realized your tank top and pajama shorts were now stained with milk. Gaz couldn't help but laugh as he looked at you in such a state, it was clear you hadn't had time to get ready for the day as he took a good look at you. "Not funny, little man," you chided the baby before you looked at Gaz with a smirk. Before he could protest, you guided the baby into his arms and ran to your bedroom to get changed.
"Bloody hell, Y/N," he yelled after you, "what am I supposed to do?" "It's a baby, Kyle, I think you can handle it," you said through your partially opened door. He heard a few more clangs as you struggled to find something not soaked in milk. He looked back down to the bundle in his arms, "What's your name, little one?" He heard you laugh as you continued to rummage around. "Kyle for fucksake he's an infant, he can't talk," you shouted, "his name is Ben if you were wondering." Ben cooed at the sound of your voice and squirmed in Gaz's arms. "It's okay buddy, she'll be back in a moment," he tried to reassure him as he rocked his arms back and forth. The baby grew more impatient and began to let out a song of high-pitched cries. You emerged from the room, now in a different pair of shorts and a shirt. Without a second look, you rushed into the kitchen and began to clean up. "Take him to the living room," you said, exasperated, as Ben continued to wail. "You owe me one," Gaz called out and you could hear him trying to appease the now crying baby. You shook your head before going about tackling the mess in the kitchen. Once you finally finished and dried your hands on the hand towel, it was quiet except for some babbles from Ben.
"What do we have here?" you said as you walked up to the pair settled on the couch. Both turned to you, smiling like a pair of twins. You had to say Gaz looked rather handsome as the light streamed in from the window in your flat. An unshaven 5 o'clock shadow complimented his face nicely. "I got it handled," he said cockily as you sat on the couch next to him. "Sure you do," you replied and mocked his tone, your legs brushing against his as sat. You soon realized that the reason Ben had stopped crying was that he was now occupied by a small sealed bag of crisps. He was shaking it around proudly and slobbering all over the plastic. You turned your head to look at Gaz with a deadpan expression. "What?" he said defensively, "he likes it!" You let out a laugh as you crumbled back onto the couch and watched as Gaz held the baby on his lap. You couldn't deny, that once he got Ben to stop crying, he was a natural at this. You secretly envied the future, Mrs. Garrick. However, with Gaz's protective arm around the baby and you smiling right next to him, you looked like the perfect couple with a newborn. The moment quickly passed as you looked down at your hand. "Oh I have his bottle," you said and motioned for Gaz to pass you the baby. "Come here, love," you cooed and slowly rocked him in your arms. You set your feet on top of Gaz's lap and sang a soft little lullaby to calm the infant.
After watching the baby drink the formula at record speed, he was finally asleep in your arms. "Finally," you groaned as you watched his little eyelids flutter. You leaned back in the crook of the couch, making sure he was fast asleep before you looked back at Gaz. He had a sense of wonder and awe in his eyes as he looked up at you. You slowly moved Ben into the small lounger cushion your sister had brought and stretched out of exhaustion. "Thanks again," you whispered as you motioned for Gaz to follow you back to the kitchen, "I really appreciate it." He nodded in response and leaned against the counter, closing his eyes in a moment of peace. You stood next to him and placed your head against his arm. You could feel him slightly react to your action but soon relax as he looked down at you. To both of you, it felt oddly comfortable to be like this. "Welcome home, by the way," you said, finally acknowledging his return "Sorry about this whole mess." He smiled as you met eyes and then let out a low chuckle. "It's alright, I got caught up in watching you play Mummy today," he joked, slightly tussling your hair with his free hand. You blushed briefly at the compliment but you soon found yourself wrestling his arm to stop. You ended up placing it securely around your shoulders and held it in place to prevent any further assault.
"I'm serious," Gaz defended as he relaxed his confined arm, "you look like a natural with him. You looked up at him and decided to test the waters, just a tiny bit. "Oh really now?" you challenged, "something about this situation gives you baby fever?" Now Gaz was the one with a subtle blush on his cheeks as you smirked at his reaction. "Let's go on a date then, love, and find out," he blurted, seemingly without any hesitation. You tensed a bit as you processed what he was saying. "You asking me out now, Garrick?" you questioned, turning your body to look at him. "Maybe I am," he whispered, moving a piece of hair out of your face and moving his hand to cup your face. As time moved slowly, you stood on your tippy toes and moved closer to his lips. Just as the space was about to close, a shrieking cry filled the apartment. "I think he wants Daddy," you teased as you tried to hide your disappointment, "we'll talk about this after dinner?" As Kyle huffed away, you couldn't help but secretly thank your sister for the emergency nanny service.

Drive to survive. Leah Williamson x F1!Reader
Part 1. Part 2.
â Leah, Leah is watching, she is probably scared â you thought again as you were drifting off. You gathered all your strength, unlocked the steering wheel, and got out of the car. As soon as you stood on the ground you felt dizzy again, but lucky for you a paramedic caught you in time and directed you to an ambulance. You turned your head to where your car is to find the back of it in flames.
You got on the ambulance, they closed the door behind you, you took off your helmet and breathed real air for the first time. With that breath all the adrenaline came rushing again to your brain. â Silverstone is done, you lost any real chance at winning this year, your career in F1 might be over.â you thought. This provoked you to have a panic attack.
â Ma'am it's going to be okay. You survived the crash and it seems like you don't have any dangerous injuries.â Said the paramedic in an effort to calm you down.
When you got to the hospital, you were rushed to a room. A nurse helped you take off your race suit and replace it with a hospital gown. When the doctor came, he did a few tests and informed the members of your team that were now in the hospital with you that you only had a concussion and that all you needed was rest.
You hadn't talked yet. Your mind kept on going to the aftermath of the crash. If you hadn't been so deeply in love with Leah you would have burned in the fire.
â Where is Leah?â You ask your assistant.
â She is in the hotel, she left the garage after the crash.â She replied.
â I want her here.â You demanded.
â Okay.â She said as she stepped out to call for her.
You waited for about 30 minutes until you heard a knock on the door. She was wearing the same white suit she did in the paddock. Her eyes were puffy and red and there was clear evidence of crying on her face. As soon as you two made eye contact she ran to kiss you. The kiss was passionate, soft, sweet and needy. It resembled the kisses you saw in movies. As you two kissed you felt a tear on your cheek. The tear was hers.â Hey I am fine. I only have a concussion. I survived.â You say as your fingers wipe the tears from her face.
â You crashed and screamed for help on the radio, then there was fire and you didn't get out.â she said with her voice broken.
â You know what got me out. It was you. As soon as I thought of you I got out. You saved me Leah.â You replied.
Leah continued to cry as you held her. You whispered how much you loved her in her ear as she layed on your chest.
You stayed in the hospital overnight for monitoring and so did she. And the next day you went to your house.
You were in your bed watching yourself getting out of a burning car on the news when you were writing your statement to the press. Once you were done you called your parents and texted your friends and your team confirming that you were okay.
â An omelet, avocado and toast, some fruit and coffee.â Said Leah as she entered the bedroom with a plate full of food.
â I thought you couldn't cook.â
â I didn't make this but it looks delicious.â
You two had breakfast together and watched the news.
â I think I might quit.â You said.
â You can't.â Answered leah. â What you went through is traumatic, and it will take a long time for you to recover from it. But you need to push through. This is everything you wanted and worked for. you need to keep going not only for you but for the thousands of girls looking up to you. And yes I know that I will always be scared when you enter that car but I know that that is something you love and I will learn to love it too.â
âThis is why I fell in love with you.â You said jokingly.
â I thought you said my fingers were the reason you fell in love with me.â
â No, it's your strap.â
â Speaking of strap, I think it's time for a reward since you escaped death for me.â.
â I love you.â
â I love you too.â
â----------
25 days later.
â Italy, home of Ferrari, but this year they are not the main thing the media is talking about. This year the woman who walked away from fire is the center of all the media attention. She is back and ready to have another go at winning her first race. She has talked about the highs and lows of her coming back journey and the difficulties she found in driving that Mercedes car again. But she has worked her way through it all. The number six is now written on her car, on her helmet, and on her tracksuit. We do not know what it means but she said it is the reason she is driving again. Stay tuned for what could be a historic race.â

Wicked Games 6
Warnings: non/dubcon, cheating, and other dark elements. My username actually says you never asked for any of this.
My warnings are not exhaustive but be aware this is a dark fic and may include potentially triggering topics. Please use your common sense when consuming content. I am not responsible for your decisions.
Character: Steve Rogers
Summary:Â you had a one night stand. Or did you?
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. Iâm happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging â€ïž
The clinic waiting room reflects the silent turmoil of your existence. You sit in the rigid plastic chairs and stare at the wall. Your mouth still tastes of bile. Only minutes ago, you were in the bathroom, spewing up your guts. Itâs as if youâre own body is trying to convince you of reality. You donât need this test, idiot, youâre fucked.Â
When your name is called, you follow the dour nurse to a room. She goes over your chart and your reason for coming. She puts the clipboard in the plastic pocket mounted on the door and shuts it behind her as she goes.Â
The doctor is thirty minutes behind. She gets you a stick to pee on and takes blood to send to the lab. The first test comes back positive but the second will take longer to process. It doesnât matter. Itâs really just repeating what you donât want to hear. You are pregnant.Â
The detached treatment has you feeling even more dejected. Youâre given a stack of literature at the front desk before you go. You toss it in the bin by the building entrance and trod on. Â
It isnât just the child, itâs the father. You know deep down it canât be your husbandâs. Itâs been too long since you... did that. As much as you want to lie to yourself, you canât. All thatâs done so far is dig the hole deeper.Â
So, you donât have much of a choice. You canât afford it. Not financially, physically, or emotionally. An innocent child doesnât deserve to be dragged into the mess youâve made.Â
First, you need to leave. You already have a plan. Youâre packing your bags as soon as you get home. Wendy said you can crash for a while. Youâll have to figure it from her couch. Once youâre settled, youâll go to another clinic and do what needs to be done.Â
It isnât the baby. Your marriage was already over. It just hurts. Itâs not acceptance, itâs giving up. You canât fix this. You tried so hard and it just didnât work. The wasted time if worse than the wasted effort.Â
A car honks but you barely notice. There's always someone raging in the streets. It comes again, shorter than before, and an engine whirs up to the curb, sliding in between two parked cars. The silver paint glares in your vision.Â
âHey,â the window rolls down, âhowâd it go?âÂ
You stagger and face Steve Rogers as he hooks his elbow over the open window. You shake your head, âExcuse me?âÂ
âI was right.â He says. Itâs just a fact, not smug. Just a statement.Â
âStop. Please. Leave me alone. I told you--âÂ
âYou canât run away from me.â He clicks free his seat belt and opens his car door. Before he can get out, youâre on the move. He catches up to your easily. âItâs mine.âÂ
You splay your fingers in frustration and keep walking. Please, just go. âNo, Iâm married. Itâs up to me and my husband.âÂ
âI know you havenât been fucking him.â His language has you skidding to a stop. You turn to him, aghast. âI can smell it. For a few days after.âÂ
âIt would be more than a few days ago,â you snap.Â
He scoffs, âyeah, it would be.â He stares at you and your heart flips.
âHave youâhave you been following me?âÂ
He doesnât answer, just looks back at you. He doesnât need to say it. You know.Â
âHow long?â You hiss.Â
âLook, that night...â he begins.Â
âNo. That night nothing! Itâs over. One night and itâs not going to be the rest of my life. Alright?âÂ
âIâll take care of you and the baby. Your husband wonât be happy to know that you and I--âÂ
âHeâs not going to know, Captain.â You snarl. âHe canât know. Alright? This is a mistake but it can be undone. Got it? So go and live your superhero life while I scrape the barrel.âÂ
âYouâre going to leave him anyways so why are you doing this?â He asks. His tone is so fucking annoying. As if itâs all so easy.Â
âHow do youâoh my god, oh my god. Please, back off.â You put your hands up and take a step back.Â
âYou canât just get rid of my baby,â he follows you as you fall back into step.Â
âGo.âÂ
âNo, I wonât let you.âÂ
âIâm begging you--âÂ
âJust like you did that night. I know you didnât forget.â He grabs your arm and pulls you around to face him. âYou canât. It was the best night of my life and you just disappeared. I canât let you go again.âÂ
âLet go of me,â you wriggle in his grasp.Â
âIâm trying to help you. Iâm telling you that you donât need to do all this. I can help with the baby. Please.âÂ
You stare up at him defiantly and tear away from him, âI donât need you to save me. That was my first mistake. Thinking that a man could ever do that.âÂ
You turn and stomp away. He calls your name but you keep going. You canât look back. Youâre terrified. Deep down you know if he doesnât follow you then, he will find you later. This whole time heâs been playing your shadow and you never even knew it.Â

we need to talk about Inprnt.com
Following a really good post with more screenshots and evidence by @dynasoar5 i'm going to talk about my own experiences with @inprnt and why I am about to put my shop on indefinite hiatus from Monday the 14th of August.
First of all I'll say that since starting my print shop last year it has been a significant help to me financially - I was able to not worry about affording car insurance or motor tax (together commonly over a thousand euro) when I bought my first car, for example. I am immeasurably grateful to anyone who chose to buy one and I treasure all the pictures I've been sent of my prints hanging up on people's walls. Right now they are displayed in a real (if small) art exhibition in my home town.
(top right print is not from inprnt though)
They're great prints. Never had any complaints about them. But here's what's going on behind the scenes.
Earlier this year, around March or April, Inprnt sales started increasing in regularity. I'd made as much as $600 a week during previous sales when I made proper promo posts here, but with this increase in regularity, I felt that I couldn't make promo posts every single week. And then one day, I'm not sure when tbh, the sale just never ended. It just didn't stop having that "Ending soon! 15% off your order" banner at the top of the site. Right now it says "Final Hours: $5 Worldwide shipping and save up to 35% off your order!" and not even for a second do I believe in this final hours bullshit. It's been 'final hours' for weeks now. Months, even.
Why is this a problem? Well, how tf am I meant to make a promo post for a sale that is always "ending soon!!" and then never ends. One week it'll say "this weekend only!!" and then when the weekend is over, the sale banner just changes its wording and the sale doesn't end. I can't promo this, it makes me look like a liar and a skeevy salesman by association! It makes the site look like it's 1 week from crashing and burning, and the site owners are just scrabbling to suck as much money from artists as possible before they drown.
And they are sucking money from us. To peel back the curtain, Inprnt money can only be transferred to my paypal account 30 days after the sale is made, just in case the order is cancelled and refunded. This means I used to make one withdrawal every couple of months, when there was enough build-up of money to make it worthwhile. It also forbids withdrawing any sum under $50 btw. I would make a withdrawal request and then, after a 10 business day wait, it would reach my Paypal account.
Not anymore! The past few withdrawals have taken over a month to complete. They are straight up keeping my earnings from me for longer the agreed period. This was my last fulfilled withdrawal:
Note the date.
Almost two months.
And here is the latest withdrawal request that still has not been fulfilled.
It's coming up on 1 month and if the pattern continues, it could literally be November or December by the time I fully clear all sales.
So what's going to happen to my print shop? Because my art is currently being exhibited with a QR code linking to the shop, I can't close the shop this week. Instead I will close it on Monday the 14th of August, next week. That means that on the 14th of September, I can withdraw all of the remaining money without having any left over. My account balance will go to 0 and stay there. Although I'll de-list my prints I will leave my account there, because at the end of the day I don't want to leave Inprnt. It still offers the best artist margins and as I'm now unemployed after graduating, the additional support is such a load off my mind. So this is a chance to wait and see - if they improve their services, I'll happily re-open.
It's a big deal to me because selling prints is sort of my ideal life as an artist. I never had the attention span or self-discipline for commission work and I found that it left me creatively stagnant. I always want to try new things, new concepts and ideas, and being able to think "yeah, people will like this as a print" while I experiment is honestly very reassuring. And I know that in going on hiatus, it'll break a lot of "buy a print" links in my circulating posts. Oh well lmao. If you want to buy a print right now - go ahead, it might be your last opportunity. Another way to support me would be to check out my ko-fi for once-off donations or some nice sketchbooks/comics/book samples you can buy, or subscribing to my Patreon.
As of right now, Inprnt owes me $381 (the unfulfilled request submitted above for $186.60 and my current standing balance of $194.80 which takes 30 days from each transaction to clear).
#it's so god damn insulting u know. even redbubble threw its shitty payouts directly into my paypal asap#inprnt

8.5 words
It was cold. That was annoying. How youâd wandered your fucking way out to Wyoming, youâll never understand. One minute you were in Florida complaining about the heat, now you were being treated for frostbite in your toes.
Youâd arrived in Jackson last afternoon, nearly frozen to death and had been crashing in the clinic bed ever since. The doctor, a nice older man, took care of you and a few nurses checked in overnight, and today you were cleared to get settled. Word of mouth had told you Jackson was the place to go, a safe haven, a community where people actually take care of each other. Maria Miller, the town founder, had just left your room saying sheâd be outside doing paperwork whenever you were ready for the short tour. Youâd get the full spiel eventually, but right now the frostbite made walking a little hard. She'd just show you her office, the mess hall, a few quick essentials and then take your to your new home.
That was when you heard shouting outside the door. One voice was Maria, the other you didnât recognize. It was hard to hear, but you listened in with your ear pressed to the door.Â
âItâs been 3 years Tommy. I know this is difficult for you but-â
âYou donât know shit!â
âExcuse me? Who was there for you when you drowned your feelings in moonshine for years? Who took care of Walker while you went off on pointless revenge missions!â
âDonât you bring him into this. Donât fucking do that shit, Maria, you know I had too.â
A beat of silence. âYou had to do whatever you had to do to deal with what happened. We forgive you, we took you back here and the whole town in glad for it. But Tommy⊠Jackson is growing. We need the space-â
âYou never fucking liked him! You never wanted him around! I bet youâre glad-â
The shouting began to overlap each other, voices raising until you were uncomfortable enough with the manâs temper you grabbed your gun and opened the door, pointing it at him.
âSettle down there, cowboy. Ainât nice to yell at a lady.â
*
The next few minutes were embarrassing, to say the least. Maria explained that Tommy was her ex-husband. She didnât go into the argument, but she assured you, not without gratitude, that firstly she could handle herself, and second that Tommy wasnât a threat.
After Tommy left with a pointed âfuck youâ in your direction, you turn back to find Maria rolling her eyes.Â
âHeâs a good man. I promise. Good dad, works hard, takes care of his people. He just gets⊠well, thereâs some sore spots. Câmon letâs get you home. I bet youâre tired.â
Settled into the house that felt way too big for just you, your thoughts drift to the man. He was older, 50âs maybe? Dark brown hair with a few streaks of gray and tired lines around his eyes, but handsome. He was so angry, and angry at you. What the hell did you do? You hadnât even been here a day! Fucking unreal. Men were men no matter where you went, but their temper tantrums never ceased to amaze you.Â
The house was pretty empty. Youâd been given a few furnishings, but the house was stripped of all character, certainly taking apart everything the previous owner had. Had the place been occupied since the world fell apart? Or had someone who lived here died? You wondered how. You wondered if they had family, or if the town was their family.Â
The kitchen had kindly been stocked up pretty well, and youâd been given some toiletries so after eating, you enjoyed your first warm bath in a long time. Running water, and it was warm? Fantestic. You boiled a pan of water and tossed it into the tub for some extra heat just how you liked it.
In bed that night, thatâs when things got weird. You felt a coldness wash over your body, a shiver you didnât expect under the warm blankets. Then the window unlatched and flew open. You gasp, fearful at first, but then justify that since itâs on springs, the latch mustâve been not done right and just sprung open. No big deal. But then you felt a hand on your cheek and you froze.
It didnât linger more than a second. The touch was fluid, but not wind, not air. There was a roughness to it, the distinct feeling of a large hand cupping your face⊠but you werenât scared. Instead, you felt calmed. Relaxed.
It became routine, after a few weeks, you refused to go to sleep until you felt it, the touch of warmth on your face, and you felt safe. It didnât take long for you to believe you had a ghost; after the cordyceps, ghosts were never far from disbelief, something youâd always been open to, but the question was who.
That would be answered soon enough. You could just ask, yeah, but you wanted to find out, in their own words. As the days progressed, youâd been given time to recover and adjust before working, so you spent a lot of time settling into your house. This was not without its encounters with the ghost. More and more, they seemed to get stronger, able to do more, communicate more. There were items shuffled around, bigger and bigger until the couch was moved.
âI donât like it there.â You said out loud, pushing it back a few feet.
They moved it again.
âCome on, youâre being annoying.â You move, just for it to get moved back again.
You throw your hands up in the air. âFine! At least be useful and carry the chair upstairs.â No response, no movement. âDick.â A gust of wind through your hair and you giggle.
You scribble together a make-shift ouija board, a circle tied from some guitar string you found in a box the ghost knocked off a shelf that mustâve not been cleaned.Â
Candles lit, you cross legged on the floor, you try to get information. Requests for the name came up empty, but the string moved to âyesâ when asked if they were a man.
âHow old are you? Or- were you?â
5. 6.
âOld man.â You chuckle when wind brushes your hair. Youâd learned this was his way of teasing.
âHow did you die?â
D-o-n-t-g-o-g-o-l-f-i-n-g
âDonât go golfing? What does that mean?â
No response.
âWas that a joke?â
Yes.
âWell, I donât get it. You know that, right?â
Yes.
âFine, donât wanna talk about death I see. Fair enough, never been there myself but I heard itâs not fun. Uhhhhhh got any kids?â

âGo on.â
2 g-i-r-l-s. 1 d-e-a-d.
âOh, Iâm sorry to hear that⊠where is the other?â
I-d-o-n-t-k-n-o-w
âShit, iâm sorry about that too. Must be confusing.â Not knowing where your daughter is must be hard. âIs your other daughter with you? In the afterlife I mean?â
e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g-i-s-d-a-r-k
That broke your heart. âMust be scary.â
Yes
Then, the string moved again.

For whatever reason, this makes you blush. You spend the evening telling him about yourself, sharing details and asking him the same. He didnât like talking about his family, refused to answer any more questions. Wouldnât say his name.
But it was the first time youâd been called beautiful over ouija board, you knew that much.Â
Even after you began working, every evening youâd run home to spend time with this ghost of a man. The most people saw of you outside your day labor was a pop into the mess hall to take food home or the clinic as they checked you were recovering okay.
âDonât see much of you.â The doctor commented. âYou adjusting okay? I know itâs a lot to get used to.â
You blink in confusion. You were fine. Happy, even. Sure, you didnât get to know anyone⊠but why would you? You did your part for the community, then you went home. Hell, you volunteered extra hours sometimes, picking up more than your fair share. You just didnât want to get close, thatâs all. People died, youâd learned that hard lesson early in life, and learned it over and over and over again. There was no point in making friends, falling in love. Not when it was all so fragile.
But you had your ghost man. He had already crossed that barrier, so there was nothing to fear. Nothing to lose. That night, you talked out loud to him about your day as you always did, he made little sounds knocking cabinets together or brushing a breeze on your skin to let you know he was listening. Sometimes winds rustled your hair when he thought you were funny. Then, the wind turned into a gust, and two firm hands pressed you down the hall, the message clear.
âJesus! Iâm going Iâm going!â You follow the breeze bushing you. Fuck he was getting more powerful every day. Pushed to the kitchen, youâre face to face with the fridge.
âIf this is a fat joke- hey!â Two distinct fingers pinched your cheek and you laughed. âOkay, tell me what you want!â A breeze, and you hear a fluttering between the fridge. When you bend down and dig around the dust bunnies, you find a piece of distinct photograph paper, and pull it out. On it was a picture of a man, 30âs, maybe 40âs if you were pushing it, his arm wrapped around a hung girl holding a trophy. They looked happy.
âIs this you?â
The picture ruffled in your hand.Â
âAnd the girl, that your daughter?â
The pictures motion was repeated. This looked like it was from before, from long ago⊠you assumed the girl was the daughter that died.
âItâs so cuteâŠâ You traced the picture of your ghost, having a face but no name still. Your feel warm, a blush creeping around your skin and a deep heat settling in your stomach. He was handsome. Youâd never really pictured him,, besides a few wandering thoughts here and there, but nothing stuck. You put his picture on your fridge.
At night, the image of his face danced in your head, unable to sleep. It was weird, this friendship you had with the ghost in your house, but you didnât really care. There were worse things in this world, darker ways to cope. So what if a dead man made you happy, made you blush and grin and giggle. So what if he was the reason your hand was currently being shoved into your PJâs.Â
Youâd be lying if you hadnât touched yourself that first night, but this was the first night you pictured his body on your, his face, that beardâŠ
âAre you watching me?â You asked, panting. That was a first too. You knew there was a possibility he watched, but you didnât really care. Never had. Now, you hoped he did.
A pause.
Then, the liquid touch of a hand on your face. He was here. He was watching.
âGood.â You assure him, hoping he stays. âWant you to watch.â Your fingers begin to pump in your cunt, and you kick off the covers. So what if it was cold, you wanted him to see you. You thought about what it would be like to feel his face buried between your legs, what his voice sounds like, how heâd touch you-
âYou can touch me, if you want. Not just my face.â It was a bold statement. Things with you and him had been friendly, close, a little flirty⊠but nothing so far had suggested more. For a moment, you thought he wouldnât. Maybe he just watched to watch. Maybe you embarrassed him and he left.
Then his touch landed on your face, slowly trailing down, down, until you could feel hands on your breasts. The slightest brush on lips ghost the shell of your ear, your cheek, and your heart swells. He wants to kiss you.Â
âYou can kiss me. Itâs okay.â It wasnât as strong a touch a his hands, but he ridgid texture of chapped lips touch yours, and ripples of pleasure flow throughout the erogenous zones on your body, far ore reach than two hands ever could. It tickles, and it feels fucking good.
âWish you were hereâŠ.â You mumble, still fucking yourself as hips bucked against yoru fingers, sopping wet sounds fill the quiet bedroom. âNever connected to anyone the way I have you.â A squeeze on your leg reassured you, and soon your tits were being messaged in a way clumsy human hands couldnât do. It was like the rolling ocean crashing and waving and peaking on the tender flesh, a surreal experience to your touch-starved body.
âIâm gonna cum, Iâm f-fuck, youâre gonna make me cum-â
Then you hear it, clear as day, sharp and quick against your ear.
âJoel.â
His name. You cry it out as your pussy clenches down on your fingers.
*
After that, ghost sex was something you and Joel regularly engaged in. He couldnât really speak much still, usually only getting out one word. Generally it was ordering you to cum, sometimes a single word compliment slipped through with a southern accent.
âBeautiful.â He whispered as you lay in bed, satiated and panting.
He thought you were beautiful when you came.
There was never another reason to go anywhere outside of your home other than to work or get food, and more and more you just got groceries and worked with what you had. You liked cooking with him ,you didnât want to be away.
Today, as you tried to make soup, you couldnât help laugh as he managed to speak âMore seasoningâ and lift a fuck ton of herbs up and into the pot. At least he was a helpful ghost.
âYou can just make it next time!â
You expect to feel your hair rustle, but instead his voice speaks.
âTommy.â
Then a knock on the door. You were so startled (people never visited you) you almost didnât answer. No one outside that door could be worth time away from Joel, but he pushed you to answer, a desperation in his actions that matched the tone he spoke the name.
When you answered, you would have shut the door if you werenât curious about Joelâs reaction.
There stood the man who got in a shouting match with Maria. Oh, yeah, Tommy, thatâs right. But why was he here? Tommy was tall, but his posture at the moment was sunken, sheepish. When he looked at you, pink dusted his tan skin. âCan I talk tâyuh?â
You narrow your eyes. âSorry, but the last time we spoke you werenât exactly polite enough for me to feel like welcoming you inside, and every time Iâve seen you, you give me dirty looks.â
He nods. âI understand, thatâs why I uh⊠wanted tâexplain myself. I shouldnâtâve done that, but I was angry. Ainât right, stillâŠâ
âWhat could I have possibly done to you?â
His eyes were large, brown, and wet. âThis was uh⊠my brotherâs house. He died 3 years ago.â
*
5 Minutes later, Tommy was sitting on the couch with you, cup of soup in hand. You hadnât felt or heard Joel, but this was your chance. Some answers.
âFunny.â He pats the couch. âThis was his. Was right here for years, never moved it.â
âItâs uh⊠a good spot. Now, I think you had some explaining to do?â
âRightâŠâ Tommy rubbed the back of his neck. âThe house has been empty since he died. My wi- ex wife, I guess, kept it empty out of courtesy but she was right. It was time to move on.â
âDid he die in here?â
He shook his head. âNo.â
Tommy explained it to you. The revenge that was enacted on his brother for saving the girl, Ellie. You wondered if that was his daughter he mentioned, but Tommy just referred to her as his kid. How the woman and their group killed him, Tommy saw his brother's head bashed in, brain matter on the walls.Â
The golf joke still didnât make sense, but youâd figure it out. You learned more about Joel too, that he was from Texas, that his daughter, Tommy niece, died on outbreak day. Joelâs birthday. Joel played the guitar, he liked to swim, was an overbearing brother and loving dad. He was married once. He learned to cook to get Sarah to eat veggies so he was pretty good at it. Was a good man. The best, the way Tommy spoke.
âI know it ainât right the way Iâve treatân yuh. And I know itâs not your fault. I just hadnât been handling his death well, you know? Lost my wife, almost lost my son⊠I ainât been the man he raised me to be. I now you donât⊠do anything. In town. Thatâs probably my fault and Iâm so-â
âYou think I stay home because Iâm avoiding you?â You nearly bark out a laugh, his eyes growing in confusion. âBrother, I ainât scared of no man, if I wanted to go to the movie nights I would have!â
Tommy processes this information, sipping on the last of the soup broth. âOh⊠I guess I just assumed...â
âWell, you know what they say about assuming. Makeâs an ass out of you and me. Here, gimmie.â You take his mug, walking to the kitchen to rinse it and still giggling.
Tommy follows you. âWell Iâm sorry! I guess I just figured, the timeân ân all.â
You throw a look over your shoulder. âI stay home because I like it here. Because Iâve been alone for years, so Iâm fine with it.â
âBut why not-â He stops in his tracks. âWhere did you get that?â
You follow his line of view and realize your mistake. âUh. I uh. I found that while cleaning the kitchen, by the fridge. I guess I thought it was nice, so I hung it up⊠why? Who is it?â
You knew the answer before he even spoke Joelâs name. You had to pretend to be surprised, but even worse, you knew what you needed to do.
âKeep it.â You say, pushing the picture closer to him, breaking you a bit. You had to hide every emotion, because there was no reason for you to have any attachment to it. He didnât know what you and Joel shared with each other. Who he was to you. It didnât matter, because Joel was his brother. The girl was his niece. He deserved the picture.
âThatâs her. Thatâs Sarah.â Tommy continued, confirming your suspicions as his finger trailed over the girl.Â
âSheâs adorable.â
âYeah⊠she was. Great kid too.â
Tommy helped you wash up the dishes from making soup, you and him talking more. He was nice when he wasnât yelling. You could understand why he was so upset at the time, and you forgave it.
You told as much as he stood in your doorway. âI donât hold it against you. I promise.â
He nods, smiling and looking more at ease. âPromise youâll come to the next movie night, itâs tomorrow. Itâll be good for you, I promise.â
âWhatâs playing?â
âScream 2!â
You roll your eyes. âNot the first one?â
âOh, Iâm sorry,â Tommy says with a tease. âIs fucking scream 2 at the end of the world not enough for you?â
You shove him out of your door, laughing. âFine! Iâll fucking come. But only to see Timothy Olyphant.â
You shut the door, and turn around still laughing. But what you see shocks you so bad, youâd have screamed if you didnât cover your mouth.
It was Joel. Faint. Barely there. A dead eyed stare. Much older than the picture and his hair was longer. But it was him.
âJoel?â You say, tentatively walking towards him. He wasnât looking at you, instead, he was looking at the door, unmoving, unblinking, unbreathing. Your hand passes through him and when his form dissipates, you fall to the ground and cry.
*
âAre you mad at me?â You ask. He was strangely quiet the rest of the day, only a few little touches here and there. No ghost sex that night. When you are getting out of work clothes and putting something warm on for the movie, you bring it up.
âNo.â
âWell, youâve hardly talked to me. Is it because I asked Tommy as those questions about you? Iâm sorry, itâs just easier that way and I wanted to know what happened to you-â
âI miss him.â
Three whole words.Â
âYouâre getting stronger. Did you mean to appear to me yesterday?â
âYou saw me?â
âYeah, and I hear you really good now.â You grin. âI canât believe youâre talking this much. Maybe Iâll skip the movie, I donât wanna lose-â
âNo. Go.â a brief pause. âPlease.â
âJoel Miller,â You tease him. âAre you having me check on your baby brother?â He rustles your hair.
*
So, you started hanging around Tommy more. It started as filling Joel in on his life, but really, you liked being around Tommy. He was easy to talk to.Â
You lay on your side in bed, trying to picture his face as youâd done every night for months as you talk to him. Joelâs voice was clear, fully communicating with you now. Every now and then you could see a glimpse of him in a mirror or the faint frozen picture of him standing somewhere, usually after Tommy was over.Â
âWalker is doing really well.â You tell him about his nephew youâve met a few times. For a few years, Tommy was barely around after Joelâs death, most of the time he was drunk. There was an incident several months ago where Tommy passed out of the couch and Walker tried to start the stove, resulting in a small kitchen fire, and Tommy effectively lost custody of his son. Not that family court existed here, but Tommy knew he couldnât be there. This was shortly after you moved in, and was the reason Tommy finally got sober. Things were going better now, and heâs repairing that relationship.
âYou met him?â
âYeah, heâs quiet. But heâs very polite.â Tommy said he takes after Joel. Walker and Joel had been very close before he died, Tommy adored the little boy. The little boy in question was now 8, growing up.
He sighs. âYeah, he was a good kid. I never had a son, figured raiseân Tommy was close enough. But when I was with him⊠Sometimes I think back to when Sarah died, how hard Tommy fought to keep her alive⊠yuh know, after she died I was just, I was drowning in my sadness. There was no room for Tommyâs grief, I guess. Heâs stronger than I gave him credit for, because he was always there for me. If I had lost Walker⊠I dunno if I could have been that strong.â
A few days later, you invite Tommy and his son over for dinner, and as you stare at Walker eating his food and laughing you can see Joel. Heâs no longer a still picture, heâs moving, and smiling, and laughing too. No one else can see or hear him.
But he looks right at you.
*
You can see him now, laying on the pillow beside you as the pair of you talk. Sometimes heâs tangible, hands touching your face and you can see his tan skin through your peripheral. Sometimes itâs more faint, like heâs using all his strength to be see and he canât materialize his touch. You donât know how it works, but youâre happy to see his face. Joel has kind eyes, a softness in a world of blood and violence.
âYou're beautiful.â And itâs your voice whispering it to him, because he is. Every line on his face, the scar on his forehead, the tired darkness under his eyes as if an eternity to sleep wasnât enough. Every little freckle you could map on his face on days he was more clear. It was perfect. It was him.Â
A sadness crosses over those pools of brown. âI really donât deserve youâŠâ When you open your mouth to protest, he continues. âIâve killed people.â
That wasnât a shock. Who hasnât? âI have too.â
But Joel shakes his head, curls staying in place as if gravity is now inconsequential, as if heâs frozen in time with a single lock on his forehead. âNo, Iâve killed innocents. A lot. Me ân Tommy, before⊠and protectân EllieâŠâ
You thought about this for a while, a chill of cold reminiscent of when he first came to you makes you shiver, but when you look at him, you donât feel the repulsion you know he expects. âYou kill children?â
âNo.â He says firmly, a glimmer of sadness crossing his eyes. You didnât think so, knowing he knew what that loss was. âBut that donât make it much better.â
âDid rape anyone? Kill people for fun? Get off on it?âÂ
Disgust mares his features. âNo, never.â
You nod. âYou kill any innocent people since coming to Jackson? Settling here?â
Again, a shake of his head doesnât knock loose a single hair. âNo, but before-â
âIâm not worried about before.â You voice is soft, and you tentatively reach a hand out to caress his face. His skin was soft, softer than a man in his 50âs would be, but thatâs what happens when you arenât fully there. âI donât care about that. Really, I donât. You deserve a second chance just as much as anyone does. The world out there-â You vaguely whisk your hand around. âDoes things to us. As far as Iâm concerned, as long as youâre not a rapist, didnât kill kids, not one of those really, really bad people⊠I think you deserve to leave that all outside the gates of Jackson.â
His eyes soften, affection pooling with something more. âThank you, darlân I mean it. I wasnât always forgiven in that life. Nice to know someone does in this one,â
Your heart aches for him, so you try to ease his pain. âTommy forgives you, I know it. You heard how he talks about you.â
But heâs still distant. âMaybe. But maybe he just misses me. Thatâs different. Besides, thereâs someone I know hasnât.â
âEllie?â
He nods. âSheâŠ. well, we just started talkân, right before I died. Didnât have the chance to find out if she ever would, you know? Now I never will.â
âShe does, Joel. Itâs been years, I know she does.â
But he didnât believe you.
*
Joelâs words stuck with you, simmering in your head like the soups he helps you make. Today you were on patrol with a fairly quiet partner, so you had nothing left to do but think, think, think. Why did his words affect you so much? He was so stuck on forgiveness, even though heâd never know-
Oh.
Thatâs why he was trapped here, wasnât it? Joelâs ghost remained behind because he didnât have the closure he needed. Tommy and him had made up, but Joel died not knowing if Ellie ever did. Years of estrangement for taking her from the hospital, for saving her, for lying, and he wasnât sorry, he told you himself. But he needed Ellieâs forgiveness. He needed to know Tommy didnây hold resentment. He needed to know they were safe, that they were okay.
Joel couldnât talk to Tommy. For some reason, you could hear him speak when Tommy was around, see him, but Tommy never reacted. Joel couldnât even move things or create a breeze when he was aroundâŠ
If Joel got what he needed, the forgiveness, the resolution he longed for, he could move on. You knew it. He was getting stronger every day, his appearance crystal clear, his touch more and more solid, less fluid than before. You wanted little more than to have him like that, as close to a real person as he could get, at your home you shared with him every single day, every hour, sleeping next to him, cooking with him, fucking him⊠part of your mind told you that you could do it.
But that wasnât right. Heâd be little more than a housewife, a sex doll, a captive. You could keep him there, to be your only friend outside of occasionally seeing his brother, the person who knew you best, someone always there to talk because what other options did he have?Â
That wasnât you. The rational part won out, and your knew what you had to do.
*
Tommyâs face was one of worry when you told him youâd seen the ghost of his brother. Youâd spilled it all out, sparing the ghost sex details, but instead of shock, he just asked you if you ere okay.
âYes! Tommy Iâm fine-â
âI dunno, youâre kinda a weird person to begin with, seeân shit wouldnât be that new-â
âTommy!â You stand abruptly from his couch, pulling at your hair. âIâm not seeing- Iâm not hallucinating him! You donât understand, I see him, I see him every fucking day thatâs why I donât go anywhere!â
A sympathetic look crossed his face. âHoney, maybe youâre seeing him because youâre alone every day.â
âIâM NOT CRAZY!!â You shout at him, and he softens.Â
âI know, I know.â Tommy stands. âMaybe⊠maybe you should stay here a few days, maybe this is a yellow wallpaper situation, you gotta get fresh air, a new environment-â he reaches for your arm but you yank it away.
âDoes the term âdonât go golfân mean anything to you?â
Confusion crosses his face. âNot really, why?â
A deep breath. âHe⊠I asked how he died, with a ouija board i made and he just said donât go golfing. Never explained.â
Tommyâs skin paled, the freckles on his face a stark contrast against him. His face a deadly calm. âHow did you know that.â
You canât help but groan. âI told you, he-â
âENOUGH GAMES!â The sudden shout shocks you, and you step back. Tommy mustâve realized he was scaring you, so he calmed down just a bit. âIâm serious. This isnât fucking funny.â
Tears of frustration and sadness filled your heart, begging him to believe you. You didnât think Tommy would hurt you, but the distress he was in was clear. âI wouldnât joke about this⊠he- he said it was a joke I wouldnât get, and I donât. Tommy please, Iâm being seriousâŠâ
Then, the realization dawned on him, clear as day. He believed you. âHoly shit. Youâre telling the truthâŠâ
âI am.â You sob. âTommy I swear Iâm telling the truth. He needs help, heâs trapped here⊠we need to help himâŠâ
He was shaking. âC-can I see him?â
It broke your heart to say no. He can only appear to me, I thinkâŠHeâs tired when you are overâŠâ
Dizzy, Tommy sits down. âHe was round⊠whenever I was over, wasnât he? Thatâs why I always feel so calm thereâŠâ
You nod. âHe calms me too. I donât know how.â You join him on the couch again. âTommy, what does don't go golfing mean?â
His face is buried in his hands, and you think heâs crying. Itâs a lot, you know, itâ a lot to spring on someone, especially that he canât hear or see him still, his own brother so close and yet so far. But you were doing this for him, so that he could move on, so that he could see his Sarah in the afterlife.
When Tommy finally looked up, his face and hands were soaking wet.
âHe was killed with a golf club. We never told anyone about that.â
*
Joel stood behind you, clear and crystalline, his body practically human. He was cold, but he brought you comfort. âSomething on your mind, darlân?â
You donât wanna lie to him, but you canât tell him whatâs happening, not yet. You want a few more days without this hanging over you both.
âTommy left for a few weeks. Just worried.â You didnât tell him he went to find Ellie, to go back to the farmhouse she lived in with Dina and see if sheâs there, if Dina knows where she lives kows anything. To try and convince Ellie that this woman sheâs never met his eeing her dad as a ghost and they need to help him move on. But hes gonna try.
A week later, the town was in a ruckus, Tommy returning to Jackson with the prodigal daughter, her girlfriend, and a little boy.
Turns out Ellie went back to Dina, begged for her back on hands and knees, and theyâd been living alone out in the country for years raising JJ. They all looked good, healthy, happy⊠Ellie was skeptical but she agreed to come as a favor to Tommy. Everything was planned for tomorrow, but as you lay in bed with Joel for the last time, you canât bring yourself to tell him.
You wanted one last night.
Joel kissed you, languid and soft, his hands roamed your naked and prone body and for the first time, you noticed something. A tent in his pants. A ghost had gotten an erection for you.
âJoelâŠâ You moan, feeling him rutt against you.
âI know, I feel it too.â His voice is husky against your ear, and chills flow throughout your body as you realize what this means. Joel was firm, his body fully here and he was hard. Joel could fuck you.
He went feral after that, yanking down your PJ shorts so fast your barely had time to lift your hips, but it didnât matter. You spread your legs to welcome to fingers the plumged into your body, absolutly dripping for the man laid beside you. Joelâs breath was hot, growling and grunting as e finger fucks you open, preparing you to take his cock for the first time.Â
âYouâre always sâfucking wet.â He says between sucking kisses on your neck. You didnât care if he left hickies on you, you were just beyond ecstatic that he was strong enough to leave marks. You wanted him to be with you in some way permanently. âBeen wishân I could feel you since that first day, so sweet, so beautiful, always so ready for my touch.â
You paw at him, groping his body and trying to just get his massive form on top of you. âNeed you.â You beg like a needy young thing, like youâd never been fucked properly before, like you needed to be filled and taken and ravaged.Â
âI got yuh, darlânâŠâ Joel murmur, rolling over on top of you, his cock heavy- when had his clothes come off?
Knelt before your body, Joel was magnificent. His body was broad, thick, not quick as barrel chested as his brother, he held it more in the shoulders. Down his chest and stomach held scares, fat, and a trail of hair leading down, down, down to where his cock hung thick and leaking and cut. You forgot he was a ghost; he didnât feel like one, he felt real. He felt here. Tears filled up in your eyes, and Joel leans over, his body covering yours in his cool skin.Â
âWhatâs wrong, baby?â He asks in a gentle voice, thumbing away a stray tear. âI hope yuh ainât scaredâa me? Are yuh?â
Youâve never been more sure of saying no in your life. âAinât scared.â You whisper. âI just⊠I love you so muchâŠâ It wasnât necessarily a lie. You did love him. But that wasnât why you were crying, not really anyway. No, you cried because this was goodbye.
Joelâs eyes, black pupils swallowing the beautiful brown with lust, grew wet themselves as he smiles down at you. âI love you too. So damn much.â
Your nails did into his back, relishing in the firm, solid feel of him. This was real. He was real. âFuck me, please. Make love to me. I want to feel you, really feel youâŠâ
Plush lips kissed you as he slid inside, a wave of calm relaxed your body, allowing you to take his considerable length inside you. He was big, stretching you open slowly while you accommodate him.Â
âFuck, itâs like youâre made for meâŠâ He moans in your ear, desperate like heâs falling apart at one stroke. But he doesnât. When he fucks you, itâs with more vigor, more energy than youâve ever felt from a living person, a slap of skin from his hips meeting your thighs, his balls heavy and slapping against your ass, his fingers digging, digging digging so deep inside as you wished heâd bruise you, wished heâd cut you open and crawl inside so he could never leave you, two souls as one. To know and to be known at the deepest level. Souls and bodies barred to each other. Nothing left to hide.
He couldnât do that, so as Joel slammed his cock into you, you begged for something else. âMark me.â You whimper, getting a reaction of confusion from your lover, so you take his hand and dig his nails into your tender hips. âI need to know this is real. All of it.â The tears come again when you can see him want to deny you. âThis isnât forever, you know this canât before but I- Joel I need something to be forever! We canât get married, you canât leave me pictures or presents or- or kids, Joel, I need to be able to remember you.â
His movements slow. âOh, pretty babyâŠâ He murmurs lowly. âIâll give anything if it means you canât forget me.â he kisses you deeply, sucking in your tongue and before he pulls away he nips your lip. âTell me to stop if itâs too much.â
But nothing of Joel could be too much.
A shape gasp as he dug into you, left hand bracing himself on the bed as he never stopped fucking you, rolls of pleasure coured your body like it had tha first night, swirling over your clit and dragging you screaming to the edge. And screaming you were.
âDonât stop! Donât stop!â You shout so loud you donât care who hears you. Half the town thinks youâre fucking Tommy anyway. Donât stop fucking you, donât stop marking you, donât, donât, donât go.
You could keep him to yourself. Tell Ellie and Tommy you lied, or that he went away and you canât see him any more. Anything so that he doesnât get what he needs, that he stays with you forever.
Heâs impossibly deep inside, but in your leaking, dripping channel and into your hip. The cut of his nails goes further than they should go, but you donât question it. Instead, you focus on the feeling of him marking your flesh, of him making your insides as his as he cums deep in your stomach. Your cunt pulses around him as your draw out whatever heâs filling you with, you donât care. Itâs him.Â
âMore, moreâ You cry into his shoulder, but heâs already slowing his thrusts.
âIâm as deep as I can go, babyâŠâ He stays bottomed out inside you, but his hands withdrawal from your side as you come down. His bloody hand cups your face, dripping with your own warmth.
You sob against his cold skin, Joel wrapping you into a hug as the overwhelming emotion of what happened floods you, and itâs too much. You need more, but itâs not him deeper, not him scaring you, and not him filling you up.
Itâs more time.
*
You wake up with blood on your face and your wounds cleaned and bandaged, with Joelâs body gone, as it usually is in the morning. It took until the afternoon for him to appear again.
âSorry baby.â He apoligized, hugging you. âI dunno why I canât control coming better.â He poked your side, and you knew he meant a double entendre but you didnât have it in you to laugh.
âItâs okay. Last night used a lot. You probably needed to rest.â
âYeahâŠâ He touched the bandage heâd put on your hip with soft intent. âHow you feelân bout this?â
You smile. âGreat. But JoelâŠâ You turn around to face him, his face frowning with worry. âI gotta tell you something⊠I told Tommy about youâŠâ Before he has a chance to ask questions, you spill it out. âAnd he went and found Ellie, sheâs hear. I think⊠I think if you reconcile with her, with Tommy, once the air is cleared⊠you can move on.â
For a long moment, he stares at you, unmoving, unblinking, frozen as the picture that used to hang on your door. Then he speaks. âYou know⊠that means I canât see you again, right.â
Damn the tears the spring forth, damn the well of emotions overflowing your body, a trickle of a leak in the damn, then it cracks, and it all breaks. You begin to sob in his arms. âI know, I know⊠but itâs not right for me to keep you here! You- you said itâs dark, and youâre scared.â
âI ainât scared when Iâm with youâŠâ
âBut you wonât always be with me! I need to help you move on! Itâs unnatural, itâs wrong, you need to be with Sarah, you need to be at peace knowing Sarah and Tommy love you, that they forgive you!â
He lets you cry, holding you close in strong arms as he realized what was happening. Heâd see Ellie again. You were willing to give him up just so he could get his happy end.
His voice in your ear.
âEllie.â
*
She was skeptical, understandingly. Pretty, short, in her 20âs with brown hair cropped into a pixie and looking annoyed. She sat next to Tommy with her arms crossed and practically glaring at you.Â
âIâm gonna need more proof than some golf joke.â
âIt was enough to get you here, wasnât it?â
She rolled her eyes. âI owed Tommy for every fucking time he saved my damn life, thatâs why Iâm here.â She turned to her uncle. âWeâre even, by the way.â
âSure as shit are.â He sighs, then looks at you. âHe here?âÂ
You gesture to the couch. âYeah heâs sitting right- hey!â
Ellie swung her hand over where you said Joel was sitting, doing nothing but annoying Joel who tried in vein to smack her away, telling her to cut the shit.
âI donât fucking feel anything.â
âThatâs not how it works Ellie!â Tommy flicked her arm. âRelax.â
With a huff, she crossed her arms again. âFine.â
Tommy looked to you, then to Joel, then back to you. âTell her something only Joel would know.â
When you turn to Joel, heâs looking at Ellie with sadness. She looks different, a lot older, yet sheâs still Ellie to him. He doesnât turn to you. âDavid.â He instructs, and you turn to her.
âDo you know a David?â And suddenly her skin blanches. Ever so slightly, sheâs shaking, but then she turns to Tommy. âDid Joel fucking telling you that!?â
From beyond Tommyâs protests that he doesnât know who Daivid is, did she mean David Turner, who was a local here, or David Sanchez, who died last month in a raid? Joel insists heâd never tell that to anyone, but Ellie canât hear him.
You try to calm them. âHe says he was someone you met after leaving Jackson the first time, that you did the right thing by killing him.â
âYeah! I fucking did!â
âHe says if he goes to hell, David is the first person heâs finding.â
She stops, information processing in her head that there was no way Joel wold have told whoever David was to Tommy. âDavid tried to rape me when I was 14.â She grits out. âI stabbed him to death and let his body burn up.â
Tommy turns to her, horrified but doesnât speak.
You nod. âGood.â
And then, she sinks into the couch. âWhenever I had nightmares⊠Joel always told me David was the first person heâd find in hell. He was convinced he was going there.â
You chuckle. Yeah that sounds like Joel. âHe loves you both very, very much⊠and the uncertainty is whatâs keeping him here. I need to help him move on.âÂ
âSo what? Youâre some sort of fucking medium?â
âNo, Iâve never had anything like this happen before but⊠He started appearing to me. Little touches, cold spots, breezes⊠then he started moving things, hearing his voiceâŠ. Now I can see him, heâs as clear as you are, honestly.â
Tommy speaks now. âHeâs gotta know-â He tries to turn to where you said Joel was, but you can tell heâs struggling to talk to a brown cushion. âYou gotta know we love you, donât know? How can you doubt that?â
âTell him I do. But tell him⊠I donât know if he forgives me.â
âJoel knows you both love him, but thatâs not why heâs stuck. He needs to know you forgive him.â
Ellie is staring sone faced at a wall, but Tommy is looking down at his hands now, this seems easier. âJoel⊠those things we did⊠itâs been a long time. I was angry, yeah, I fucking hated you for a while butâŠâ He shakes his head, silver streaks shimmering in the deep brown of his hair. âI got Walker now and⊠after he was born man, I think I got it. The things we did to survive⊠you were willing to do some of the worst shit out there, damning your own soul to save me. Iâd do the same for my kid, if I needed to.â
âBut I shouldnât have made you do any of it, Tommy.â
âJoel feels bad that he made you participate.â
âYou didnât make me do fuckân shit, brother. I was a grown ass man, even if you still thought of me as a reckless teenager. I made my choices, and I understand why you made yours. You lost your baby, I know damn well you couldnât take loseân your brother either. I forgive you, but you also gotta forgive yourself, brother.â
Ellie pipes up. âI get it too, Joel. I told you that night, I didnât know if I could forgive you⊠telling you I couldnât⊠but⊠UUGHHHH!â She slumps down, covering her face. âJoel I was angry! I was angry and I was stupid but I was a teenager! I was just- just a kid who had these grand schemes of changing the world! But we donât know if it couldâve worked. But I forgive you, Joel. I was always gonna forgive you, even before you went and fucking left me! I donât know why I had to do that, why i treated you the way I did-â
âYou were a teenager, thatâs normal-â
âBut I think about it, every single day I think about it and what I should've said and done better but I get it now. I donât know what youâve been told but I got my kid now. I know youâre old man brain is probably trying to work out how two women had a baby-â
Joel laughs, and so does Ellie.
âBut itâs Jesseâs. Dina got pregnant before Jesse and her broke up and he⊠he died. But Iâve been raising him with her the last few years⊠She took me back⊠You ask me on the porch that night if she treats me good and JoelâŠâ Ellie sighs, smiling. âShe really does.â
âTell âer Iâm glad. That I always liked her, and I wanna know the kids name.â
âJoel says he doesnât blame you for being mad at him, or how you talked to him. He says heâs glad Dina and you are happy. Whatâs the babies name?â
Ellie grins, pride in her eyes. âThe baby is almost 4 now. His name is JJ. Jesse Joel.â
Tear fill up Joelâs eyes, fatherly love overwhelming him and for a moment, you think how sweet this is, how nice. Then you notice heâs not as clear as he was before.
âJoel!â You rush to his side and take his hand, kneeling at the couch. âJoel, I think it worked⊠youâre fadingâŠâ You try to grip his hand, as if holding on tighter would keep him here with you, keep him ground in this world. Without him, you werenât sure what youâd do with your life, who youâd talk to or confide inâŠ. But you knew, you knew above all youâd miss him. There would never be another Joel.
âPlease-â He sounds desperate now, scared even. âOne more time, tell them I love them, I just- I love them so much fucking much.â
Through your sobs, you relay the message. âHe needs you to know how much he loves you guys. He talks about you all the time, he- youâre everything to him.â You see Ellie and Tommy holding hands, Ellie crying and Tommy looking close.Â
âWe love you, Joel. All of us.â Ellie says, to nowhere in particular.
âAnd the kids. Walker and- fuck I ainât never met JJ but I love him too. If, if thereâs a heaven Iâm gonnaâŠâ His words start to fade, but you know what heâs saying. His strength is going fast, Joel letting go and passing on, but even still his body shook. He was scared. If there was a heaven, Joel was going, but he wasnât sure about that.
âHe says he loves Walker and JJ, heâs gonna watch over them in heavenâ
That breaks Tommy, who lets the tears come now as he takes your hand too, squeezing it tight.
You look up at your lover. âI love you, Joel. Iâm always gonna love you, always gonna remember you. Itâs gonna be okay, I promise you. Weâre gonna be alright, weâre doing okay. You can let go now. Itâs okay to let go. Thereâs no one left you need to protect.. weâre safe.â
Even though heâs fading away Joel looks into your eyes. He canât speak, his strength fading, but itâs all communicated through those eyes that say so much. One last time, he cups your cheek, and the hand that isnât holding Tommyâs brushes over the cold fingers, feeling liquid and unstable again. Thereâs fear in his eyes, mixed with that tender love, but then something changes in him.
Joel looks forward, past you, Tommy and Ellie and onto something else, something more. He smiles. âI see herâ
All his fear his gone, and his face is peaceful.
For the final time, a breeze rustles your hair, and Tommy and Ellie see it.
Joel is gone, and all you can do is sob into his couch.
*
When it finally subsides you feel numb. Ellie and Tommy have joined you on the floor, the three of you talking about the experience you shared together, something no one will ever believe.Â
âHis last words were, ââI see herâ....â
Tommy whispers Sarahâs name, and you nod.Â
âHeâs with her now. Heâs a peace. I know a better place is a cliche, butâŠâ Ellie wipes her tears. âWe all know how much he missed her.â
Everyone nods solemnly, and for a while, you stay there, talking about Joel, memories and his jokes and his cooking. It was nice to share this secret with other, and suddenly you felt less alone in it. They believed your stories of the ghost in your walls, and they liked hearing the knew things he told you. You liked learning more of his past.
Eventually, everyone had to get back to their families. You were alone, but you didnât feel lovely. Something had shifted, a closeness to Ellie and Tommy that didnât scare you the way human connection used to. Maybe you would go to the mess hall, see some movies. Your patrol partner was quiet, but nice. Tommy was still around, and Ellie and Dina decided to pack up their things and return, wanting JJ to have friends. It was going to be okay, and as the sun set on the day, somehow you felt it rise on your life. A new, beautiful world of opportunities for friendship and love was out there.
You stared in the mirror, butt naked, feeling strangely open and vulnerable despite being alone for the first time in months.
It all felt surreal, something that seemed impossible, that went against every logical explanation.
But when you took off the bandage on your hip to change it, there they were, clear as day. 4 crescent fingernail cuts deep into your skin, something that would scar forever.
No matter what happened, youâd always carry these with you, proof that Joel and your love for him was real.

ᄫᥠFIRST ENCOUNTER â âI hope we can play again one day.â Growing up together â from childhood to adulthood. Sunday x GN reader series.
Word count: 2.8k
Contains: Fluff (lots and lots of fluff), first encounters, first friend (his), different backgrounds, growing up together (main stages of lifeâwill progress over each post), lighthearted topics, lonely child Sunday + more!
Chapter: (1)
Starting school wasnât as bad as you thought it would be. Like the adults in your life saidâitâs only scary until you go in and experience it. You have to keep your head held high and believe in yourself, and thatâs exactly what you did. To your relief, you made your first friend easily. She was a girl, a lot smaller in height than you. You found her outside of the classroom, hyperventilating while the teacher attempted to console her. Before you could step inside the room, the teacher pulled you aside. You were asked to keep her company since she was having a tough time settling in, and you did it in a heartbeat.Â
Her name was Robin. The two of you became inseparable, always found sitting next to each other in every class. For the first time in your life, you were invited back to someone elseâs home. After getting permission with some extensive begging, your parents eventually caved and drove you over to her house. You never shut up about her, and she never shut up about you. Both of your families had to endure the nonstop chatter about your best friend.Â
When the car stops outside of their house, your breath is taken away by the sheer size. This is way bigger than your place! As soon as the car door opens, you sprint up the path and wait outside of their entryway, a giant smile plastered to your face. You wave behind you at your parents, watching as they get back in the car. They were so proud of you for stepping out of the comfort zone you stuck yourself to when you were younger. Before you started school, their main concern was that youâd have a hard time fitting in amongst the crowd. You didnât particularly get along well with the children in your neighbourhood, but you didnât tell your parents the reason why. Those kids were just too mean, nothing like Robin.Â
Fiddling with your hands, you began to wonder if anyone was going to let you in. Just as you reach to press the doorbell, the door opens. A man towers over you, a somewhat surprised look on his face. He turns his head back to look in the house, his attention temporarily assigned elsewhere. Thatâs when you notice the younger boy clinging to his leg, his head tilted as he stares at you with curiosity.Â
âHello, little one. Are you Robinâs friend?â The man pushes the young boy aside, ruffling his hair before crouching down to be on your level.
âI am! Weâre best friends.â You give him a cheesy grin, and his face softens.Â
âRobin and her mom arenât here right now. You can come in, it might be a little wait.â He steps out of the way, clearing entry for you.
âOkay! Thank you, sir.â You take your shoes off and wander into the house, taking a look around at the interior.Â
Too preoccupied with being wowed by their house, you didnât hear the conversation between Robinâs father and the young boy who appeared to be hiding from you. Letting out a sigh, Robin's father strolls back over to you, accidentally startling you by placing a hand on your shoulder.
âThis is my little boy, Sunday. Heâs Robinâs older brother.â His dad drags him forward by the arm, almost crashing your two tiny bodies to the floor.
âHiâŠâ Sunday speaks quietly, unable to look you in the face.
âHi, Sunday.â You smile, your eyes drifting down to see him fidgeting with his hands in a similar way you do.
âDo you wanna play with my toysâŠ?â Mustering all of his courage, he looks at you and waits for your answer.Â
You stare at him, then up at his dad. You were supposed to be here for Robin, but no one gave you a time frame for how long she would be missing. Since you had nothing else to do, you nodded. Sundayâs father made a cheer noise before leaving you in the living room with the young boy. He had long hair, a similar bluish shade to his sisterâs. The wings attached to his head flutter before he extends his hand out.
âLetâs go play.â He beams, accepting your hand that you stretched out to meet his.Â
The two of you scurried upstairs, a half-sprint, half-walk, speed. Neither one of you was that fast, but thereâs no rush. Family pictures decorated each space on the wall, ranging from baby pictures to wedding photos. It was nice to see how well everyone seemed to get along, it made you happy that Robin had a nice home to live in.
Sundayâs room was hugeâeven bigger than your parentsâ bedroom. Your mouth dropped as you looked around at all his belongings, a wide collection of stuffed animals littered on his bed. You wanted to say something, but you couldnât get any words out of your mouth.
âUm⊠Do you want to play with my teddies? Youâre looking at them funny.â Sunday walks over to his bed, taking one of the stuffed animals into his arms.
âSorry! I think theyâre cute. We can play whatever you want!â
âI want to play with the teddies.â He mumbles, scooting over to make space for you on his bed.
âWhat are your teddiesâ names?â
âOh, I didnât give them names. Am I supposed to?â
âIt makes it more fun! Can I name them?â
âIf you wanna.â
âMy one is gonna be called Cuddles and your one can be Patchy.â
âPatchyâŠâ Sunday looks down at his teddy, squeezing it tighter in his embrace.
âWhat job is Patchy gonna have? Cuddles is a teacher!â
âI want Patchy to be the president.â
âWow, the president?â
âYeah, I wanna be the president too when Iâm older.â
âThatâs so cool!â
âYou think?â
âYeah!â
Sundayâs cheeks grow warm from hearing your excitement. He stretches Patchyâs arms and makes it âhugâ Cuddles.
âDo you go to my school?â You inquire. Youâre sure Robin wouldâve introduced you to her big brother by now.Â
âIâm homeschooled.â
âYou have school at home?â
âKinda. My parents have a tutor that comes in and teaches me stuff.â
âOhh.â Youâve never heard of homeschooling, but it piques your interest. âDo you have any friends from homeschool?â
âNot really.â He didnât want to admit that he was the only one who attended the private tutoring sessions.
âWhy donât you come to school with me and Robin?â
âI like it at home.â
âThatâs awesome!â You give him a thumbs up, continuing to delve into the roleplay you created in your mind.
After a while of having Cuddles teach Patchy some valuable life lessons, such as how to pour a glass of water without spilling it, you begin to wonder where Robin is. Youâve been here for at least an hour or two, but then again, you donât know how to tell the time quite yet. Sundayâs eyes were sparkling as he watched you playâthis was his first time playing with someone who wasnât part of his family.
âDo you wanna be friends?â Sunday asks, his nose scrunched while he waits for the big news. His wings were completely stillâit almost seemed like he was holding his breath.
âOf course I wanna be friends! Youâre really fun and nice.â As you would with Robin, you lean forward and wrap your arms around him, feeling the flutter of his wings brushing against your cheeks. It tickled, and you began to giggle.
âCan I tell Dad?â There was nothing but joy in his voice when he broke free, springing to his feet straight away.
âIf you want to!â
Bursting out of his room, Sunday runs down the hallway calling for his father. Met with urgency, he comes running at the call of his son, bumping into him before he can make it down the stairs.
âDad!â Sunday exclaims, practically jumping in place with Patchy still in his hands.
âIs everything okay?â
âI have a friend!â
âIs that so? Iâm glad, kid! Go on, go back to play.â
âAre you proud of me?â
âVery. Good job, Sunday.â Placing a kiss on Sundayâs forehead, his father pats his back before he dashes back off to his room.Â
Sunday returns, stumbling over his own feet. He lands flat on the bed, chuckling to himself as you stare down at him. This was a big thing for Sunday, and you could tell that this friendship meant a lot to him.Â
âDo you know when Robin is gonna be back?â
âSheâs at singing practice with Mom. But itâs okay, we can play together.â
âRobin can sing?!â You gasp, clasping your hands together while Sunday nods.
âYeah, sheïżœïżœs been going to those lessons since like, forever. Sheâs really good too!â
âWow, you guys are so cool.â
âYouâre way cooler.â
âAm not! Youâre super smart and Robin can sing, I donât really have anything like that.â
âYouâre good at imagining things! I couldnât even think of names for my teddies until you gave them some.â
âIs that cool?â
âI think itâs cool. I dunno how you do it so easily.â
You feel a surge of happiness wash over you, cuddling your knees to your chest. Sunday was so nice. Part of you wishes he could come to your school so you could all play together at recess, but Sunday seemed pretty adamant about liking his homeschooling.Â
Time passes by quickly, you and Sunday continue to play with the teddies, having their identities expand rapidly. You yawn, rubbing your eyes and putting down Cuddles. Outside of Sundayâs window, you can see that the sun has started to set, and Robin still hasnât made it back. Youâre sad that she ditched you, but it wasnât all bad with Sundayâs company.
âMy parents are gonna be here to pick me up soon.â
âAlready?â Sunday whines, his bottom lip flipping down. âMaybe I can ask Dad if itâs okay for you to stay for dinner.â
âWill I be allowed?â
âI think so. We have a lot of empty seats at the dinner table.â Sunday takes your hand, leading you towards the door. âCome on, letâs ask dad! Maybe if we add extra pleases itâll work.â
Scurrying down the hall, you skip a few stairs as he drags you into the living area. You take a moment to catch your breath while he sprints off, heading straight towards where his father is sitting. Due to the distance, you canât pick up on the conversation, but you see Sunday pointing at you with a pleading expression. Calling you over, you walk slowly towards to the two, still recollecting your breath.
âSunday asked if you could stay for dinner. Is that what youâd like?â
âIf itâs okay Iâd like that a lot.â You put on your best smile, remembering what Sunday had mentioned. âPlease.â
âWhat a well-mannered child! You didnât need to ask so politely, but who am I to say no to a new friend? Do you have your parentsâ phone number?â
âUm, I think I gave Robin a piece of paper with my family stuff on it. She said she gave it to her mom.â
âI know where itâll be. Get comfy on the sofa, you two. Iâll call your parents and let them know to collect you after we eat.â
âOkay! Thank you, Sunday and Robinâs dad!â
Heading to the bigger sofa, you and Sunday climb on, legs dangling while the TV plays in the background. You were thrilled to see what they would have to offer since their house is so fancy, but youâre also worried in case the meal they serve isnât to your liking. Either way, your parents taught you to eat what youâre given. Whether you like it or not will be kept to yourself.Â
âI told you itâd work.â Sunday smiles subtly, kicking his feet which hover above the floor, not quite reaching it yet.
The two of you proceed to watch TV, a nature documentary which had been left running while his father made a call to your parents. After a few minutes pass, he returns and tells you both the good news, catching both of your faces ignite with thrill. It didnât take long for the meal his father arranged to finish cooking, now scooping fair portion sizes onto three respective plates. The leftovers go back into the oven, keeping them warm for when Robin and her mother return from their outing together.Â
Their dining room was grand. Itâs the first time youâve seen a chandelier hang over a dinner table in real lifeâyou always thought it was something exclusive to the rich people in cartoons. It made you wonder if they were rich. They had so much more than you and the other kids in school did, but Robin never spoke much about home. If you lived here, you wouldnât be able to keep quiet about all of the luxuries. Theyâre extremely lucky.
When you took your seat, your face contorted at the vast arrangement of cutlery in front of you. You were only used to the classics, unsure of why there were spoons of different sizes displayed neatly in front of you. Sunday pulls out the chair beside you and sits down, patiently awaiting permission to begin tucking in.
âUm⊠I think your dad gave me too many spoonsâŠâ You fidget with the spoons of different sizes, and his gaze drifts over to you. He seems perplexed by your statement.Â
âHuh? You have everything you need.âÂ
âWhy do I have two spoons?â
âThis one is the main one youâll eat with,â Sunday picks up the bigger spoon, then slides it over to you. âUse that one first.â
âWhat about the little spoon?â
âItâs the one you use for dessert.â
âOh.â You nod your head, blissfully unaware of fine dining etiquette. âIn my house, we use big spoons for everything.â
âReally?â
âBefore we eat, itâs fair that we show our gratitude for receiving this meal.â Sundayâs father stands to his feet, followed by Sunday. Unsure of what to do, you remain gawking at the two until Sunday tugs you by the sleeve, encouraging you to stand too.
There was a moment of silence over the dining room until his father bowed, followed by Sunday, then you. A domino effect. Now that it had been announced that you could eat, you didnât hesitate. You werenât sure what the exact name of this dish was, but one thing is for sureâyou devoured it. You could hear the small chuckle Sundayâs father attempted to suppress as he looked at you. It was embarrassing; you thought he would be mad at you, but he seemed to understand the circumstances.Â
âIf youâd like more, I can get you another serving.â
âItâs okay! Thank you. Itâs sooo good! Youâre super lucky, Sunday! Your dad is such a good cook.â
âAh, I didnât cook it. Our chef did. Iâll be sure to send your compliments later on.â
âYou have a chef?!â
âWe do indeed.â
âWow! Like a private chef?! Do they make anything you want?â
âThatâs the sole purpose of a chefâs career, dear.â Sundayâs father snickers, reaching for his glass of aged red wine.Â
When everyone had finished their plate, a waiter appears from a door you hadnât initially acknowledged and collects the dishes. Just seconds after, another appears with two bowls of dessert. Your eyes widen as you see the ice cream placed in between you and Sunday. It appears to be drenched in syrup and other toppings.Â
âI figured that Sunday would like to share his dessert with his new friend. Is that okay with you both?â His father glances in your direction, watching the nods in unison.
Sunday didnât seem to eat much, mainly scraping at the sides of the bowl. When you looked up at him, he was smiling to himself, pleasantly happy with the small serving he was given.Â
It was about time that today came to an end. You walk towards their door with Sunday and his father following behind. Your parents had already rang the doorbellânow greeted face to face with them as you ran out. Sunday remains close to his fatherâs side, his cheek resting against his leg while he watches you. Your parents show their gratitude and encourage you to say your thanks and farewells. With a small pinch on his shoulder, Sunday speaks up.
âBye, I hope we can play again one day.â There was a pout on his faceâyou swear you saw his lip wobble.
âI hope so too!â You give your final wave as your parents cart you back to the car, setting off as soon as everyone is buckled in.
Inside the house, Sunday sniffles and runs back upstairs, gently closing his room door over. Cuddles and Patchy remain sitting next to each other, and he begins to cry. Tears spill from his eyes at the thought he might not be able to play with you again. After all, you were Robinâs friend first. When Robin is home, you probably wonât even look his way if you come over. That doesnât remove the memories he made with you from his head though, and he keeps his hope that one day the two of you will reunite and continue to construct Cuddles and Patchyâs future together.Â

idk if Fort Lauderdale has a beach, now it does
"I hate it when you're not here," she said down the phone as she laid back on her bed.
Her alarm clock sitting on the dresser flashed a ridiculous time in the morning, but she knew that wasn't the time where Logan was. The exhaustion was worth it to get to speak to him.
"Yeah, I know," he replied, sounding just as tired as she was. But this was because he had just woken up, not that he hadn't yet slept (like her). "But I'm coming back soon."
"Home."
But it wasn't his home, was it? Not anymore. No, his home was shitty shitty England, wasn't it?
Florida didn't feel right without him there.
But he was out living his dream, so she couldn't bring herself to hate him. She could never bring herself to hate him.
Her favourite time of year was when Logan came home. For the Miami Grand prix, for Christmas, for her birthday. Yeah, he'd never miss her birthday, if he could help it. It had been that way since his karting days, but back then his parent's used to pay for him to come home. Now he could afford it himself.
She let out a yawn, one she hoped he couldn't hear.
"Jesus, what time is it there?"
She didn't answer it right away, but Logan worked it out in his head. "Three in the morning, right?" He asked and she let out a hum. "Shit, go to sleep, you psycho," he said through a laugh.
She rolled her eyes at him, but she couldn't hide her smile. Not that she needed to hide her smile on the other side of the world. "I'll be awake for the race," she mumbled, her voice groggy.
"Just sleep," he said, voice soft. But it always was with her.
This was the way it always was around the Miami Grand Prix. She had the day marked in the calendar, and it couldn't come sooner.
Logan was all she had in Florida. It was pathetic, wasn't it? That he was her only friend in Florida. Without him there, she was lost. Working, sleeping. Working, sleeping. Working, sleeping.
But then Logan was back. Her best friend had returned. He was there before the rest of the grid, spent as much time as he could in Fort Lauderdale with his family.
And, of course, her.
His best friend, the one he had left behind to go out and live his life.
He'd missed her, missed her so fucking much. But he was busy. He had his family to spend time with, had a race to prepare for. No matter how hard he tried, he just didn't have time.
And that fucking sucked.
Oh well, at least their phone calls were at normal times.
(Not oh well, she really wanted to see him, really wanted to spend time with her best fucking friend).
And then Logan got mad. Maybe she was trying too hard to spend some time with him. He was a busy guy. If he could have, he would have made time for her. But he absolutely did not have time for her. And her constant insisting was getting grating.
It was stress, too. That was what had Logan shouting at her down the phone.Â
It wasn't taken well, to say the least. She hung up on him, tears springing to her eyes. Fucking asshole. All she wanted to do was spend fucking time with him. Fuck that fucking asshole.
She ended up at the beach, with almost no idea how she got there. The beach was empty as she sat in the sand, but that wasn't surprising. Even spring breakers didn't stay on the beach this late. But there was something about staring at the waves as they crashed against the sand.
Of course, Logan felt incredibly guilty about losing his shit at her. He stared down at his phone for a good minute before he tried to call her back.
He tried again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.
Eventually he bit the bullet, got into his car and headed to his house. He didn't see her own car in the drive, but didn't let that bother him as he climbed out and knocked on the door.
He should have guessed that she wasn't there. It made sense the more he thought about it, where else was her car?
If her parents knew where she was, they would have told him. But Logan could take a guess. He climbed back into his car, backed out of the drive, and headed to the beach.
When Logan saw her, his heart dropped.
She hadn't done this in years, and it had never been his fault. When they were kids he'd sit there with her. He'd let her sit with her head on his shoulder, he'd drive her home after. And now she was there and it was his fault.Â
Slowly, Logan climbed out of his car. His hands were shoved into his pockets as he headed towards her.
Even kicking the sand, she didn't hear him. Not until he was sitting down beside her, copying her pose. Logan opened his mouth, ready to apologise.
But he didn't get that far.
"Do you ever feel so... out of place?" She wasn't looking at him, instead looking at the reflection of the moon on the water. "Like everyone else has left you behind?"
Logan sucked in a breath. After a year on the grid, it was a feeling he knew all too well. Hesitantly, he placed his arms over her shoulders. "Maybe you should leave Fort Lauderdale." His voice came out as more of a mumble, a struggle to hear. "You know, travel for a while."
She sucked in a shuddering breath. "Where the hell would I go, Logan?" She spat. But her head fell forward. "I didn't mean to say it like that."
"No, it's okay." he squeezed her tighter. "You could come stay in London with me, come travelling to races with me. God knows I miss the fuck out of you when you're not here."
The noise she made was somewhere between a laugh and a scoff. "Come stay with you? Are you serious?"
He nodded.
She leaned back, digging her palms into the sand. "Okay, Logie Bear, I'll take you up on it. Just... try not to fall in love with me."
It was a joke, of course it was a joke. Why else would she have said it like that?
"No promises," he mumbled, voice barely audible as he pulled her closer.
If you enjoyed this, please feel free to buy me a coffee
