This is the latest iteration of the head and corresponding skull of my long-time sona/Pokesona Eowenah, and the character for which I derive my username (She is the "Legendguard" Pokémon, or Legendary Guardian). Since I'm new here and y'all haven't been exposed to my shenanigans for the last sixteen years, I remake her. A lot. I'm not even sure what "version" this redesign is at this point. I will probably do it again. No I'm not sorry. I will say I am quite happy with this version, at least for now, so maybe it will be a few years before that happens. Eowenah is a light/psychic* type legendary Fakemon and the mascot of my fake Pokémon version, Pokémon Celestine. She is a chimeric clone of many, many different Pokémon, created by Mewtwo very early on as a test of how to mix various Pokémon genes more efficiently, who then became "possessed" and enhanced by the legendary Fakemon Haliapio to transform her into the Legendguard to take on the Evil legendary Fakemon Shadogaire. If that sounds like a bunch a' cringe... it is... but goddammit it's my cringe.

Being a chimera, Eowenah possesses traits from many different Pokémon families, especially from avian, felid, and pterosaurian lines. This can easily be seen in her skull, which looks a bit like a mammal skull with avian parts glued on. But there is a method to the madness. Being arguably one of the most powerful Pokemon ever, and having the best attributes picked out by Mewtwo during her initial creation, all of these parts meld together into a surprisingly cohesive structure, even if it looks a bit odd.

Here we will solely be focusing on Eowenah's head and skull, minus the hyoid apparatus (for now). (Cont in comments(?))

I've never been good at painting, so this'll be interesting.

NATG XIV - Day 16

Prompt: Draw a pony as another species / Draw a pony getting a new lease on life.

Hitch as a draconequus; I just thought it would be fun to see a more "orderly" character as one. Originally thought of him having more seaside animal parts, since he's the sheriff of a seaside town.

Nandor and Colin Robinson really are the most unlikely duo they've only had two episodes and they are very quickly becoming my fast faves. I do like how we are seeing there's more to Colin Robinson and about how he needs to accept that he's actually pretty interesting and maybe how he can get energy from people that way (I personally think this character change can be chalked up to Laszlo raising him did change him slightly even if he can't remember it).

The only gripe I had with the newest episode is that I felt that they started the Nadja story strong with her teaching people from little antipaxos but the whole just getting doughnuts for this random woman wtf was that? Especially compared with the episode before it why does it feel like the writers are constantly flip flopping between giving Nadja good character development and then not knowing what the hell to do with her? They literally took her story and gave it to Colin and Nandor.

However my biggest and only major thing I haven't liked about this season (which so far has been a pretty strong season imo) is why did they make the Guide a main character I mean literally putting Kristen Schaal in the intro sequence and then barely use her so far this season. I mean she just randomly appeared in the previous episode and didn't even really have a role in the plot and in the latest episode she appeared in a flashback with footage for an episode earlier this season for like 20 seconds. The thing is I wouldn't even care this much if she was still in a supporting role but you made her a main character and then decided to barely use her. Kristen Schaal has exceedingly proved herself as a talented comedic actor, so utilise her. I just genuinely don't understand the logic there...
