Implications - Chapter One (on Wattpad) https://www.wattpad.com/1451281768-implications-chapter-one?utm_source=web&utm_medium=tumblr&utm_content=share_reading&wp_uname=monica_wisco_ghost Small town girls from Indiana don't often find themselves in the bustling areas of south Philly. Miley Wesson was an unusual exception though, constantly looking for an escape from her drug fueled hometown and looking for any grab at stability. A bar owner introduces himself to Miley one fateful day and the rest is to be discovered.

macmcdonald replied to your photoset: @weareagentsofnothing screencapping your replies...
i get what argument ur attempting to make with the Sokka statement, but katara, toph and suki didn’t sacrifice anything either. and i think ur missing the point of how aang’s arc ended, he spent most of the series struggling with his identity and how to beat the fire lord without throwing away a huge part of who is is, what he represents and what a now lost culture that he’s desperately trying to keep alive has taught him. his story wraps up as well as ur saying zukos did
I’ve actually written a different post about why Aang’s storyline doesn’t resolve his moral dilemma about killing Ozai in a satisfactory way. It’s not that he didn’t kill Ozai, it’s how he got out of having to do it - by having solutions essentially handed to him by external forces that required no moral agency on his part. If Aang had opened his final chakra and gained control of the Avatar State (and thus the ability to remove Ozai’s bending) by making the choice to let go of his attachment to Katara, rather than the lion turtle/convenient rock deus ex machina double whammy doing it for him, that would have been a stronger resolution both on its own merits and in the context of what the show had previously established.
Katara, Toph, and Suki don’t make any direct sacrifices in the finale, that’s true. Not every character has to. The main protagonist of the show probably should.

Yknow how gay ppl will sometimes go totally overboard with their gayness after coming out bc they're finally able to fully express themselves for the first time in their life??? Anyways Mac next season is gonna be full on making out w/ a dude on top of the bar and its gonna be so intense and over-the-top with PDA that the whole gang is really uncomfortable except for Dennis who just sits there angrily watching them with a rage boner the entire time.

The Gang Inflates
I tried to get a good screen grab of Mac and Dennis in the inflatable bed...but everything just turns out really funny. Anyway, my thoughts on this are the conversation that must've happened before they decided to sleep in the same bed as well as the decision to blow it up and put it in the living room.
There was obviously more than one bed, because Charlie said he could blow one up...unless I mistaken something, I'm pretty sure that Mac and Dennis both still have their own beds. I am probably going to write the conversation before they decided to get into that bed, because honestly I want to go there and have fun with it.

macmcdonald replied to your post “can you believe that there’s people out there who hate aang and katara...”
ok now this is really a reach
@macmcdonald it’s not though?
katara has, since the moment she covered that fire nation helmet with snow, actively sabotaged every single opportunity for aang to deal with the trauma of being the sole survivor of a genocide, to the point where aang turned his crush into a coping mechanism where he literally projected his love for a whole people onto a single person. this is not healthy. this is not good. this was something that the season two finale set up as aang’s primary internal conflict and it never gets resolved. the poor boy went through life without ever getting any closure or catharsis or getting to heal, and the fact that the narrative treats it as a joke and uses it to fuel cheap daddy issues drama is frankly disgusting.
instead of dealing with the horrific trauma he suffered, aang gets a girlfriend-shaped band-aid.
he deserved so. much. better.
and stemming from the same problem, because of katara’s fierce, unwavering need to protect aang, and aang’s feelings, from everything, katara has never been able to openly and honestly talk to him. she always, always softens herself up. a relationship in which you have to hide facets of your personality in order for it to work is not a relationship of equals.
adding to that the vile, horrific misogyny that she was subjected to in order to fit the “girlfriend-shaped band-aid” mold, a process in which she lost her personality, drive, passion, ambition, political-mindedness, and every single other aspect of her character that made her memorable and compelling, resulting in having the character whose defining lines were: “i want to fight!” and “i will never! ever! turn my back on people who need me!” into the sort of person who would allow her husband to neglect 2/3 of their children and then later to sit out a civil war in her backyard?
how can i draw any other conclusion than that the people who support this relationship loathe these characters and enjoy seeing them devolved into shallow, boring, unappealing, and just all around plain lesser versions of themselves?
