Her eyes light up just a little bit once she recognizes what Toygal is saying to her little companion. She nods in recognition, understanding the worse that the other girl is saying perfectly.

"Woah..." And really, what else would be the appropriate reaction?

"That's so cool!" Maps does not know too much about G*ndam, but what she does know is that giant robots have universally looked cool and will continue to look cool. But between more than the fact that this is a giant robot, Maps makes sure to note how aesthetically pleasing it is. The right colors in all the right places; the decals; the shape of the head and just how sleek it is... Maps is dead-set on her path of being a detective but she might have to consider engineering now if the engineers of the world get to make cool stuff like this.

Yet more than that, Maps knows in the back of her mind why seeing the little guy's mecha form is making her so happy: it's a reminder of the bigger world she lives in. A world that is maccabre and futuristic and scary and exciting all at the same time. Men with the power of gods fly and touch down to ask 'How can I help' while asking for nothing in return. Aliens walk side by side with the human race. Sure, things got scary sometimes. There was the time that alien power rings brought back the dead as zombies, or the one time a mountain came up in the middle of Gotham and brought evil Batmen with them, but the day is saved by the end of it all. Seeing this reminds her of how strange the world can be, and how she'd never want the strange to become normal.

"So how do you make out the frequencies? Is there a special ear piece you have or something like that to decipher it or do you kinda just instinctively know what he's saying? Did you always know the frequency or language? Or did you end up learning it on your own later?"

And there she goes, asking a hundred thousand questions again. A part of her wants to sheepishly apologize for talking so much, but she's a detective. Asking questions is a part of the game and it's a game she loves to play.

Toygal laughed happily, putting her hands on her hips, responding with a firm nod. "Yes he can!" When prompted about the type of Mecha she ended up tilting her head. If Maps didn't know much about them, then naming various details would be useless.

"ちびっ子、ホログラムをオンにしてメカを見せてくれ。"

To her words, little guy chattered in response and tilted his head forward, using the display on his head to show off a highly detailed hologram of his mecha form.

Toygal carefully pointed her finger at the hologram. "So this is little guy's mecha form. It's based on the ZGMF-X56S Impulse G*ndam. Slightly modified to keep the display system I built in, and of course to display Toygal decals rather than anything affiliated with G*ndam. I don't want to break any copyright laws!"

It might not be immediately obvious to most people, but everything on Toygal's person took inspiration from various toys, games, anime, and various other forms of media and entertainment. But she always changed them enough to not get in hot water. And of course, she had designs of her own! She wasn't that creatively bankrupt.

But... if cool ideas already exist, why not make them real?

"I want to make different styles of Mech forms for little guy, buuut right now this is enough. I haven't had a chance to properly test it outside of sending him into orbit a few times. He needs some combat practice first, then I can analyze and upgrade!" Toygal elaborated further. Having so many plans in stock for the little guy, who just let out a few low hums before turning off his display.

"Oh, right! You asked about the voice. Well, rather than it being beep and boop codes it's actually a language. It's one I came up with specifically for little guy. To others, it might sound like R2D2 or BB8. But it's actually sentences and words shortened to certain frequencies! I could make him talk in any language or even binary but... well..."

"Isn't this way cooler?!" Yeah, there she went again. Beaming proudly as she turned to her companion, who just shook his little head. But come on!!! A secret language only a hero and her companion understood? PERFECT!!!

Anon chuckles amused at the grumbling, servo coming to pat and squeeze Dead End's arm in comfort, nuzzling his mate as good as he can with how restricted he is from the hug. Not that he's complaining, far be from it.
