Hi guys,

Today we are chatting about one of M.A.C's most iconic lipstick shades Thank's It's M.A.C, £25.00. Now MAC has been famous for their lipstick formulas for a long time and we all have a favourite shade. So let's chat about a new shade to the collection and some old favourites.

Personally over the years I have used and adored the shades Faux and Velvet Teddy ,they have been my go to shades for a long time now. Velvet Teddy is described as a "Deep tone beige" and when I want to wear a true nude tone I will grab this shade. However if I'm looking for a more "muted pink mauve" I will grab Faux every time. Ironically this shade went viral years ago because it was the lipstick shade Kylie Jenner used to wear before the filler to make her lips look fuller with a matching lip liner (I'd be lying if I said this wasn't the reason I checked out the colour myself).

Today we're adding a new shade to the collection which is Thank's it's MAC! Now I am very aware this isn't a new shade to the brand BUT it is has been out of stock for so long I thought I would never get it! Thankfully that changed last week, now this shade is from Lusterglass Sheer-Shine collection so it has a satin sheen finish which isn't my usual vibe but I loved the colour so much I couldn't resist. This shade is described as a "taupey pink nude with silver pearl" and it is honestly my dream everyday colour. Personally I love the name of shade too because every time someone gives me a compliment and asks what the shade name is, it makes me laugh because it sounds like a secret.

So if you're a fan of MAC lipsticks and want to shop some shades, I really recommend this shade and formula. MAC is such a throwback brand for me because in my late teens to mid 20's I was obsessed with the brand and their lipsticks so It's nice to revisit it as a 30 year old woman.

Can't believe I'm having a lipstick crisis!!! MAC has such a wonderful formula in their lipsticks, but they're all WRONG and let me tell you why: for medium olive girlies like me (and dark girlies!!) They're shade range kind of sucks-- its like too light in tone. I need like a raisin brown/coca cola or a dark blush-flushed lips moment that's not red, but not like brown or black either. I need the in between!! For example, right now I looove Nars No Satisfaction but the formula is not great for me. It's a little too dry and makes reaplication a mess.

It's so dark. All of MAC'S nudes look great on fair skin, but on my skin? Bad. Medium skin like mine loves contrast, but all the nudes you have are like... if I took a black and white photo, you wouldn't be able to tell I was wearing your lipstick...

Mac, PLEASE start thinking about us brown folk. Your lipstick is SO GOOD. I WANT TO WEAR IT!!! But you don't cater to us :(
