Dying dying dying to know the full set of voicelines for Resplendent Grima but in the meantime I guess I will simply think about the two they previewed...

The thing is, you know, Grima seems to bluffing again, because uh... "It is only natural the weak serve as kindling for the strong. Muspell's ideology aligns with my own." Grima my beloved that is NOT your ideology.

I mean, at first glance it's pretty similar to what Halloween m!Grima says...

"Those without the will or power to resist can only be crushed underfoot. Such is the nature of the harvest." But... Grima is not saying that this is how things SHOULD be, only that this is how he views the world: as a horrible zero-sum game where those without power are crushed by those who have it.

Like, Muspell (the dragon) comes across as pretty straightforward and unironic in his callousness towards mortals and in his belief that it would be good for them all to just fight to the death. But no matter how many lines the various Grima alts have disparaging humans and talking about crushing them like worms, Grima also makes it clear that they do care. They care a lot and do not like that the world is the ruthless place they see it as.

We know Grima's REAL ideology, because legendary Grima presents it to us.

"One person's satisfaction means another must suffer. That is the truth of all worlds. But my power of destruction is the one true equalizer."

The world that Muspell desires is in fact the one that Grima would put to an end. Grima HATES Muspell's ideology. Saying it "aligns" with his is only true in the sense that Grima believes that that harsh and depressing way of life is inescapable reality.

(Though... "If you think there's someone out there capable of leading the world with such high-minded ideas of love and bonds... I'd love to meet them." is very interesting in the context of the Kingdom of Muspell because... well, Laegjarn and Laevatein are in many ways quite similar to Emmeryn and Chrom, don't you think? And they are the ones who would be guiding the nation. Muspell the dragon says he "knows nothing" of the kingdom because "mortals are of no consequence" so... if Grima were to visit, it would be the royals he would see.)

But it does make me wonder if Grima is perhaps... a little envious of Muspell's perspective? Because saying that "a kingdom that consumes all with roaring flame" is "an ideal to strive for" suggests that... he's not there yet himself. That he's looking at the callousness of Muspell and Surtr and thinking that he needs to care less and destroy more...

Tell me about your fankids and what ships they come from!

I never thought I’d get this ask! I’m so happy!

First off I have Noah, he is Claude and Freyja’s son.

Next we have Baldr, he’s Plumeria and Seliph’s son. Baldr was human at first but his health started declining and their last effort to save him was to turn him into a Dokkalfar. I guess he’s Noah’s nephew. (I headcanon the dokkalfar’s as Freyja’s adoptive daughters therefore making Noah their brother and so forth)

speaking of their family, next I have Marcellus who is M!Morgan and Julius’s son. He was created through magic.

Then there’s Orion who is Laegjarn and Hríd’s son.

Another one is Rei, he’s Dimitri and Ingrid’s son. I think he was my first fan kid. My brother created Edorothea (don’t laugh at the name XD) she is Edelgard and Dorothea’s daughter created through magic.

Líf and Thrasir have a daughter whose name I haven’t decided nor have a proper design for. (Suggestions are welcome for a name!)

then I have Sirius and Arvan, the twin sons of m!byleth and m!shez. They were born from Sothis’s power.

all of these kids attend a school in Askr.

outside of fire emblem I have a couple of fan kids my brother and I made while we were young so some of them might be silly. From persona 5 my brother made Joker Jr by having the present Joker and future Joker get married.

from beyblade burst (we were young) we got Shu and Shadow Joker (from Kaitou Joker) together to have 4 kids (all with silly names lol), Shu Jr, Joker Shu, Shu Shadow, Shadow Shu.

from Pokémon, my OC Midnight (Lycanroc) has a lot of children (too many to count) he is immortal and has had many mates. He also has many siblings.

If there were more I either forgot to include them or they’re forever lost to time.

Apologies for butting in and is it ok if you can give your thoughts on Resplendent Roy and Resplendent Lyn?

It’s kind of a bit of a tall order so I’m wondering what are your thoughts on those two Brave Resplendents so far.

No need to apologize, you’re not interrupting anything at all. The only thing I’ll say is PLEASE, IS. STOP GIVING RESPLENDENTS TO BRAVE UNITS I BEG OF YOU. Roy and Lyn already have Resplendents as their base, we need singular units who haven’t even gotten an alt yet to get a Resplendent. Like Arthur. Or Silas. Or the Morgans. Or maybe one of the grail units.

So let’s start with Roy. Apologies because I’m on my phone so screenshots are all I got:

First off, I think this is amazing incorporation. Roy’s outfit actually reminds me of Laevatein, with those armored hip guards. Roy here is very armored up, appropriate of a Muspell outfit, and the cape is very eye-catching without being obnoxious like Ike’s Muspell cape. Though they missed an opportunity to put the Muspell badge as his cape fastener. Still a banger outfit.

The art itself is very nice, gorgeous color work and I think this piece is the art that closest shows how young Roy is. Not that he doesn’t look young in the other pieces, but he doesn’t quite look like a kid. Here he does though. And those POSES, man. That attack pose is so strong, it invokes Smash Bros feelings.

I actually think Muspell was a better pick for Roy than Nifl was. I know Nifl is because of his mom Ninian (yes I know that’s not REALLY confirmed but everything leans heavily towards that being so), but Muspell really compliments his color scheme more, and he IS the Blazing Lion in his Legendary costume. So I feel like this Resplendent is the superior one. 10/10 for him, honestly everything was executed perfectly.

Now onto Lyn:

Uh… The incorporation in this one is not vibin’ with me. Too much fabric, not enough armor, and too much of “they just slapped vague Muspell aesthetic onto her existing outfit without doing any real incorporation”. That chainmail is really awkwardly placed right underneath her tits, too. If they wanted to keep her chest, they could have gone the Laegjarn/Laevatein route of thinner armor with gold embellishments. This is NOT ideal Muspell archer, Niles clearly succeeds here where Lyn fails.

Art is still gorgeous, though. Use of the fabric to add flow was great, color is great. Only criticism is, uhhh… I know she had a big chest, but her tits are not THAT big. Even on her Ninja alt with the armor corset, her chest doesn’t stand out that much. Reminds me of the artist who weirdly made Fallen M!Morgan’s torso super ripped.

Does Muspell fit? I’d actually say no, the Sacaen way of life really perpetuates the spirit of freedom and nature, Muspell’s conquering tendencies and visuals of dead, burnt landscapes doesn’t fit. We should have gotten Ymir Lyn.

Overall, 6/10 for Lyn and it’s really strange that we got TWO Muspell Resplendents in a row.

Sigurd, Ephraim, Corrin (m), and Chrom for the FE Lords ask game!

Sigurd: Favorite class? Swordmasters and Spearmasters. They always get the coolest animations!

Ephraim: Favorite sibling relationship? ALEAR AND VEYLE. It's become an absolute no-brainer for me, I love them as much as they love each other😭

Chrom: Favorite FE ship(s)? Faye/Celica and Faye/Rinea are my fav rarepairs, Mia/Lucina is one of my favorite crackpairs (thanks Heroes), and Chrom/Robin, Alear/Yunaka and Fjorm/Laegjarn are some of the more popular pairs I like the most!

Corrin (M): Favorite type of transformer class? Thematically manaketes, cuz I love dragons and especially Fire Emblem Dragons. But for everything else Laguz just take the cake because they actually bring something new to the table. As for which Laguz I like more... Cat Laguz, I'd say? You do turn into a giant cat biting people's heads off, after all!

We actually meet Laegjarn for the first time, and my Summoner’s honest reaction upon learning she is Surtr’s daughter is…

It wasn’t really a chase, it was rather hide, but get outsmarted.

…Well…at least she didn’t inherit Surtr’s ruthlessness and lust for blood and power.

So begins our fourth fight against Laevatein, and our first fight against Laegjarn, which…ended as well as I had hoped; with Celica taking out Hardin (the exp hog), and Corrin giving M!Robin another defeat. All while team Falchion (Lucina and Alm) made short work of the Múspell sisters.

You’re one to talk! You easily tracked us down!

Sure, Laegjarn. Can’t wait to see what sneaky plan you have in store for us next chapter. Your tactics are far superior to my Summoner’s anyway!

So it took a bit, because apparently the desire sensor was exploding off the charts for my game and wasn’t giving me a lot of red. It gave me two Flavia, back to back, but in taking a hiatus from FEH? I had some story chapters stacked up. Several runs through the FB and those chapters later. Here he is. +ATK and overloaded on skill fodder from a different number of units turned into books I’ve been saving for the past 3/4 years. It’s currently 6AM, but I am over the moon still. It was a long wait, but the wait is over, and he’s finally home. It means I also get to see them reunited as a family in my game.
