Im watching TUA again and it has given me yet ANOTHER fic idea. It sorta repurposes an oc of mine into a different story line (or I suppose timeline in this instance lol) (actually I may reuse this oc for a lot of reader inserts because I love their power)

Ok, classic Number Eight situation. Eight stopped physically aging (they actually do age it’s just extremely slowly) around their early teen years. Their power is basically being able to manipulate cells. They can make plants rapidly grow and die then reverse it back to a seed or even make people age or de-age rapidly. It take a lot of energy though and the drawback is that they can’t control their own cells. They’re stuck looking like a 13 year old despite being the same age as their siblings.

In this one, they’re close with Viktor and are a social media influencer. They surprised Viktor by showing up to his practice he had in the beginning of season 1 episode 1 and they both found out about Reginald’s death together from the tv in the window.

Eight has a fiancé but they used to have a massive crush on Five as kids.

When Five comes back, their feelings are reopened and things get complicated between Eight and their fiancé until they find something awful on his computer.

Now they’re single once again and their childhood crush is babbling about an apocalypse at the end of the week.

So…what are we thinking? I would imagine Eight as a more feminine kinda bubbly person (think Luther in later seasons) that gets their bubble popped after their fiancés scandal but I could keep them GN as long as people are ok with the feminity.

The umbrella academy's final season destroyed every character's personal growth and semi-healed traumas, left huge plot-holes, completely abandoned some of it's most beloved side characters that were crucial in previous seasons and you're laugh-oh. You're crying. My bad. Go ahead. Let it out. Understandable.

do you ever think about how the siblings died in the house where they were abused, that they were never able to reclaim from that abuse

how luther died still stuck in that house, having failed to live outside it and failed to make it a home

how diego valued the people more than the house, and yet he dies without his mother or children, with a wife and brother who cheated him

how allison spent her life building new families with new homes, but was dragged back to the house she was abused in to die there

how klaus spent almost every day there high or drunk, but once he was sober he died there

how five spent 45 years longing to go home, to feel safe there, but home was where he died

how viktor ran as far as he could from that house but ended up dying there anyway

how lila searched her whole life for family and comfort and belonging, and instead died in a strangers home
