While everyone else participating has a nice time, Wwx initially thinks he'll not get caught, but then Lwj shows up and starts chasing him with extreme prejudice, making wwx freak out because he thinks lwj is there to punish him or something? And starts running around screaming his head off like he's being chased by a serial killer, which is broadcast for everyone to see. Their siblings are watching and mentally face-palming the entire time.

Wangxian end up in a ditch and mate, and things end happily but wwx has to be overdramatic first

10. Hello! I'm looking for two fics that popped into my head recently.

A) LWJ manages to save WWX and he lives in Cloud Recesses wearing a face covering and using an assumed name. LQR figures it out and shocks WWX by asking if he needs help escaping if he's being held against his will. It was long-ish and had a happy ending, I think.

B) This one was a horror fic, I think. One of them brings the other back and it's happy for a little while and then the one who was resurrected gradually realizes that everyone around them is dead - basically the still-living partner had gone mad and was talking to corpses and hallucinating their responses. I remember it being not super long, well written, and disturbing, with a pretty sad ending.

the fic is a canon divergence fanfic, and I remember in a chapter (definitely not the first) wuxian writing letters to nie huaisang throughout all of the Wen issues and such and then killing himself. nie huaisang gets a letter from him afterwards and reads it to every group and everyone, and JC + NHS + NMJ + LWJ + LXI all go and see what wei wuxian wrote about in his letter (the torture, etc.) the fic extremely graphic and amazing and i would love to read it again. from the latest chapters i remember, wei wuxian had just gotten his soul transferred into his body again (essentially) while in the pond at the cloud recessses, after they found out mo xuanyu (who was taken in by his brother and jiang yanli i think. i cant remember i apologize my brain is blanking its 12 am) could hear wwx and such.

WWX died by MDY whipping. She's so angry that she's not as careful as she could be and the whip flies widely. WWX is already in the ground- fully exhausted from all the stuff his body is trying to heal from- and the whip catches his throat and rips into his jugular. He bleeds out too quickly for anyone to react/ body just gives up. He's a teenager and even with a strong golden core it's not like he's immortal or in the best shape.

The maid is killed when she opens her mouth about some disparaging comment and WZL is killed by a grief stricken JC. He's horrified by what his mother did and is more so when his father gets home and kills WC driving the wens back. But his father doesn't react the way he's expecting

JFM is upset (take a pick on how he feels about WWX) but he's compartmentalizing l. WWX is dead so he can't do anything for him but his son, his sect is still standing so he has to focus on that and not on someone he can no longer help. He was like this with finding WWX -his friends are dead but their son isn't. JC doesn't take this change well and is more upset and has no one to turn to cause JYL was sent away for a bit. So he has to grapple with his brother's death at his mother's hand and his father's seeming uncaring. Needless to say he has to change a lot really quick and doesn't trust his parents. (his dad loved WWX more than him-right?- so what would happen if he had died instead of this is how the "favoured" kid is treated).

The wens have taken a hit from WCs defeat and it pauses them enough for WN and WQ to make a run for it. Their family would be a bit bigger than at the burial mounds but not by much since a lot of those healthy enough to fight were forced to leave. (So instead of 20~ ppl it's closer to 50~)

JC is out and about because of conflicting feelings and runs into them and has a moment of just "what would WWX do?" And ends up deciding to help cause it's what his brother would have done esp since he recognized WN as the kid WWX stood up for during the archery competition. He can't take them home cause he doesn't trust his parents so he goes to the lans.

Let's assume LZC is back but no one rlly knows the damage done to LP yet

JC explains himself and asks for help and LZC is ok with it cause 1) right thing to do 2) bolster the lans numbers for rebuilding cause so many died 3) more healers to use during the rapidly approaching war

JC ends up spilling what happened and how WWX dies and LZC knows this will break his brother's heart especially cause LZ had left that morning to check in on LP for them since they know the wens tried something. Basically a damage report

Skip to LP and LZ arrives and meets with JFM and sees the price is mostly intact so thinks things are fine. Asks after WWX and again, JFM is compartmentalizing, doesn't say outright he's dead and just motions to the area they're keeping the bodies of those who did die at which is very close to the healers buildings.

LZ goes to the healers and sadly gets sent farther in and just sees his soulmate dead and just breaks down sobbing over WWX body.

12 hears the unmistakable noise of Griffin's Black Hawk approaching her location.

Her glowing pink eyes glance over to the distance and indeed see extraction was coming in hotter than expected.

(AK-12) "Clear the LZ. Anti-Air threats are to be taken care of first."

The other members of DEFY comply with her orders and take down the enemies surrounding them with startling efficiency.

Their ride out of the area doesn't even get a chance to touch down before everyone quickly hops on and nail every single gunner attempting to shoot them down.

Finally escaping and getting out of the combat zone, 12 turns back on her emotional processors, her eyes closing and a smile returning once the mask goes back down onto her neck.

Seeing who the pilot was made her mood all the better.

(AK-12) "Well now. Not that we don't appreciate the lift, but you should be back in base."

S/O chuckled as the bandages on their arm slightly shifted.

(S/O) "Not without you girls. Figured I could do one last fly before I take a well earned break."

12 and RPK-16 chuckled at that, AN-94 simply nodded while AK-15 sighed.

(AK-15) "Taking influence off her, I see."

12 ignored her comment and gently caressed their injured arm.

(AK-12) "Thank you, S/O. I'll make sure we put in a good word for you.~"

She sits herself in the co-pilot seat to help out, the Black Hawk escaping into the moonlight.

(S/O's Voice) "M4! Coming in hot!"

(M4A1) "What?!"

Hearing the unmistakable noise of the Black Hawk's rotors, M4 turned to the rest of the AR team.

(M4A1) "CLEAR THE LZ!"

The four of them pin their enemies down with concentrated fire, making sure they couldn't aim at their extraction.

After getting on, they continued to open fire until they were out of immediate threat range.

Finally getting a breather, ST AR-15 and M16A1 closed the doors as M4 approached S/O, realizing their leg had makeshift bandages.

(M4A1) "What are you doing?! You could have been hurt worse than before!"

(S/O) "Thought I'd take a page out of your books and try a suicidal rescue. Commander gave me the green light, if it makes you feel any better."

M4 opened her mouth, but quickly found she had no retort. Admittedly, AR Team did have a tendency to do that.

She put a hand on their shoulder as she nodded in defeat.

(M4A1) "...Fair enough. Thank you, S/O."

S/O put a loving hand on hers before returning their attention back to the controls.

(SPAS-12) "THANK GOODNESS, RESCUE'S HERE!"

Using her shield to take the oncoming gunfire, she and the rest of her echelon backed further into cover as the Black Hawk came in, letting them all hop on.

Her shield acted as a makeshift barrier, as some of the other T-Dolls fired back, using SPAS as cover.

She had no issue, her shotgun would be ineffective at this range anyway.

Once her scanners indicated they were out of the combat zone, she breathed a sigh of relief.

(SPAS-12) "Whew, thanks for getting us ou-...S/O?!"

(S/O) "Hey, SPAS. Glad to see everyone's doin' well."

Her eyes immediately saw their head which had a bloodied bandage still on.

(SPAS-12) "You're not, the heck are you doing?!"

(S/O) "Heh, don't worry. I'm not gonna crash, autopilots helping pull the weight too."

(SPAS-12) "B-But you can't just!...You might have gotten-"

Before she could say anything else, S/O gave them a gentle smile before pulling out a bag of chips, enough for the echelon.

She pouted but took the chips and smiled back.

(SPAS-12) "We're having dinner after we get you back resting in the medbay. Got it?"

(S/O) "Deal."

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh thank you! For asking!

I don't think I'll ever finish this one but I'm in love with the concept. I wanted to write wangxian with either WWX or LWJ deaged, but I wanted all the angst. And I think that WWX is such that if you just de-age him into a kid post canon, you just get this happy go-lucky kid who seems like nothing's wrong. And he might say things that would hint at there being some very wrong things (either about living in the streets or about the Jiang household, depending on the age you pick), but I just feel he would not engage on that? Like maybe LWJ would be pretty sad about it, but WY would shrug and want to play. Meanwhile, post-canon de-aged!LWJ would be a very sad kiddo, but I don't think adult!WWX would engage with that either. He'd just spend all his time trying to get little LZ to crack a smile and avoid talking about any of the things that he knows are sad about LWJ's childhood until LWJ gets aged up again.

But if LWJ were to go into the past, into WWX's childhood, and actually be there witnessing Wei Ying on the streets or Madam Yu's treatment of him, we'd see a lot more because LWJ would be so protective and defensive and angry in a way he would not need to be if de-aged!WWX was happening in the present post-canon. Likewise, I think WWX would feel both furious and helpless at the way little Lan Zhan's feelings get shut up and repressed if he was at Cloud Recesses in the time when LWJ was actually a child, in a way WWX wouldn't be if LWJ was de-aged in the present post-canon. Basically, if either of them is de-aged post-canon, they get to be in the protecting and loving environment the other would create for them, when what's sad about their childhoods is the difficult environments they each had.

But I really didn't want to do time travel, because things changing in the past changes the present, and that wasn't what I was interested in. I just wanted them to be able to witness each other's childhoods.

So, post-canon, they encounter some kind of demon that seems to have trapped WWX in his own mind, but LWJ can enter his mind to save him. This puts LWJ in WWX's memories of childhood and witnesses WWX in the streets, WWX running from dogs, WWX getting found by JFM, etc. At first, LWJ thinks he can only passively watch the memories, but kid!Wei Ying inside the memories notices him, and LWJ realizes that he can talk to Wei Ying and interact with Wei Ying. He can thus change the memories--to an extent. No one else in the memories can see him or interact with him, because the living WWX exists in these memories but the other people are static memories in WWX's head. So, for instance, LWJ can pick up Wei Ying and take him away from the dogs, but the dogs don't react as though LWJ is there at all. LWJ can stand up to Madam Yu and say that she's treating Wei Ying unfairly, but Madam Yu can't hear him.

But Wei Ying can, and Wei Ying isn't aware he's inside his memories. To him, LWJ is this magical cloud prince who just shows up sometimes and is very pretty and nice and kind to him. They progress linearly through the memories until 15yo!WWX meets 15yo!LWJ, then WWX realizes who the magical cloud prince is and begins to figure out that he's somehow trapped.

But wait! In fact, WWX was never the one trapped in his own mind by a demon, it's been LWJ all along, except LWJ wouldn't let WWX inside his memories to help him out of the curse, so WWX opened up his own memories to let LWJ travel through then, thinking along the terms of "I showed you mine; now you show me yours." It works, and WWX is finally able to travel though LWJ's memories in the same way as LWJ traveled through his, and then they break the curse.

It's from WWX's pov but starts in Wei Ying's pov when he's 6 or 7 (which is suuuuuuuuper difficult to write btw) and he just sees this pretty gege appearing at random times and calls LWJ in his head "man from cloud."

I didn't write much. Sadly, as much as I love the idea, I don't see myself continuing it. I love the idea more than the idea of executing it! Thank you for asking! <3

Update: I split the prologue because I feel like the pacing fits better if it’s split into two parts.

Note: This is based on a request which I changed a bit since I did not play any other Call of Duty game besides Modern Warfare 2 (2022). I did a bit of research tho for the older games so I hope it’s not complete bullshit that I’m pulling out of my ass, also related to the military stuff xD

Also a warning, this series will be angsty as hell but I’m not planning to make it very long, as I learned my lesson with a certain witcher fic xD

This fic has religious undertones at least in this part, I hope I don’t make anyone uncomfortable with this. I grew up Christian (tho I’m an atheist now) and I thought a bit about how I would react if I was suddenly in a parallel universe where I and several other people are supposed to be dead.

“Fucking hell, there’s so many of ‘em!”

Lynx fires her rifle next to you and you do the same, feeling the recoil on your shoulder. You only waste a millisecond to check if your target is actually hit and then immediately focus on the next enemy.

Below your position the LZ is hot and the hill on the other side is bombarded with mortars.

You know it’s hell down there and yet you wish you were between those trees instead of the elevated bush area from where you currently provide cover fire.

He is there and in this very moment you want to be by his side. No matter the heavy gunfire.

“You still see them?!” your partner asks from your right, and you affirm her question as you kill another hostile.

Roach and Ghost are steadily moving forward in between the onslaught of Russian soldiers and growing relief trickles through your veins with every step they take.

But then they run out of the tree line and before either of you can react, a mortar shell explodes right in front of them, and Roach is sent flying.

“No, fuck, NO!” Lynx yelps and the panic in her voice is earth-shattering.

“He’s not dead, Anna!” you shout and grab her by the shoulder, stopping her from standing up. She bites her lips but thankfully remains on the ground, just inching a bit forward, desperate to spot her lover alive.

You pray that your words are true and thank fuck they are; seconds later Ghost drags a shooting Roach away from the trees and the red flare that the masked man popped for Thunder-Two-One.

“Jesus Christ”, you hear the woman beside you whisper, “I’ll beat his ass when we’re back home!”

A nervous bubbly laugh escapes you and you hope that you all can return to base safe and in one piece.

“Move, Ghost! We’ll cover you!” you speak into your mic.

His voice rings through your earbud “copy that, Nomad!” and you breathe out shakily. Yeah, everything will be fine.

With your eyes you watch how Thunder-Two-One sends a merciless spray of machine gun fire into the tree line, but you can’t see beyond the smoke and instead focus your scope on the few enemy soldiers that emerge from the grey fog. You take them out one by one.

You’re about to send another bullet into an approaching hostile when your radio crackles.

“Gold Eagle is on the ground. Watch for snipers on thermal, over.”

Lynx makes a noise beside you. “Isn’t it just us and Adle-“

Blood suddenly sprays and you blink. Your lips taste iron, your right eye is watering and with one glance to your right the sounds of the battlefield all turn into white noise.

Instinctively you press yourself against the grass, your left cheek touches the damp ground and with wide eyes you stare at Anna’s unmoving body. Your partner is dead. Shot in the head.

Based on the whizz of the bullet and the spray of blood that hit you it must have been a sniper who killed her. For a second you think the Russians sneaked up on you, but then you remember the words through the radio; Watch for snipers…

Realization trickles through your veins. Someone must have betrayed you.

Your heart sinks and within a millisecond you make a decision.

You roll to your left, gripping your rifle tightly and a bullet passes overhead, barely missing your shoulder. But it did miss and you’re rolling down the side of the hill.

The tumble returns your ability to hear, and the sound of the helicopters combined with your racing heartbeat is deafening.

The small incline of your hiding place saved your life for now and although you know deep down that your luck probably won’t last, you are thankful in this very moment.

Tears well up in your eyes but you rub them away with your sleeve. A red smear appears on the fabric, and you clench your jaw. Focus, you don’t have time for this right now!!

You know that whoever killed Anna is probably relocating right now to get a good shot at you, but you don’t care.

You need to know what’s happening to him, if he dies-

“Ghost?! Lynx is KIA, someone cut us! Do you copy?!”

You anxiously wait for an answer, but your radio stays silent.

Breathing out shakily, you lift yourself from the ground and rush behind a tree to shield your right flank. The dust that is kicked up by the many helicopters, which gathered on the plain, is making it difficult for you to spot the man you’re looking for, but the big Boeing helicopter used to transport the General is a good reference point.

You position your rifle and adjust your scope to find the heli.

The clouds of dust are thick, but like a miracle you spot the General- leaning over Roach, Simon laying motionlessly beside them, his grey sweater showing a bloom of red as if he was shot-

Your scream is stuck in your throat, and you watch frozen as Shepherd retrieves the DSM from Gary and simply leaves while four Shadow company soldiers step forward.

Tears well up again and this time you let them fall as the world begins to spin.

“No, no, no, please-!” you whimper, sucking in air through your clenched teeth and without a second thought you rush forward.

You make it about 60 meters before a bullet through your right shoulder throws you off balance and sends you straight to the ground. Hot flaming pain shoots through your body and the brute force of your crash and your rifle painfully pressing against your ribs take the air out of your lungs.

Dazed you lift your head, heavy from the weight of your helmet, and for a moment your vision is blurry; you blink to regain focus.

In the distance you see the soldiers clad in black, carrying Gary’s and Simon’s limp bodies to a spot without grass. They drop them like two sacks of potatoes and the pain in your heart is worse than the one of your bullet wound.

A wail escapes your throat, and you try to lift your body from the ground, to crawl forward, but your limbs feel like lead, and you don’t have the strength to move.

Your radio crackles and your ear bud lets Captain Price’s voice come through: “Ghost, come on, this is Price! We’re under attack by Shepherd’s men…”

You can hear gunfire from his side and in one last effort you pull your rifle from underneath you.

The fact that Taskforce 141- you were betrayed by your superior, the man who you considered a father figure at one point in your life, that he killed the man you loved- love… That fact stokes something inside of you and that barely gives you the strength to position your rifle.

Weakly you watch how the Shadow company bastards douse your friends, your brothers, the ones you love with gasoline and Shepherd’s plan dawns on you. Bile rises in your throat and you sob through clenched teeth.

You place your finger on the trigger but in the end, you don’t get the chance to pull it.

The general casually drops his cigar and Gary’s and Simon’s corpses go up in flames right as a bullet enters the back of your head.

I find it hard to believe that he doesn't have any after believing in WY Death for so many years and WY waking up and tells him "I'm here, I'm alive" so many times to reassure him and for once he can't smile because he didn't feel those years pass but LZ was there and his pain will always make WY feel guilty for leaving him alone 🥺

"Lan Zhan?" Wei Wuxian was certain that the bell hadn't sounded yet. The sky outside was dark, and everything was quiet; if it had been mǎo shi, he would at least hear the sounds of the birds singing. They seemed to rise when the Lan did.

But it was quiet, and everyone was still asleep, and Wei Wuxian's husband - who usually slept, unmoving, all throughout the night - was sitting up on their bed, curled into himself, breathing so heavily his shoulders heaved.

"Lan Zhan?" he asked again, sitting up slowly. He was afraid to startle him. It was usually impossible - Lan Zhan seemed to hear everything and see even when his back was turned - but he'd already said his name once, and Lan Zhan didn't seem to have heard him. "Lan Zhan, Lan Wangji, Hanguang-Jun. Are you alright?"

Lan Zhan flinched when Wei Wuxian placed a hand on his forearm, but instead of pulling away, Wei Wuxian tightened his grip.

"Lan Zhan," he said quietly. "What's going on?"

Lan Zhan looked at him. His skin was pale, his eyes red-rimmed. There was blood on his lower lip, and Wei Wuxian wiped it away with his thumb; the indentations left behind by Lan Zhan's teeth were almost a surprise. Lan Zhan didn't react.

"Lan Zhan." Wei Ying forced a laugh. "I need you to say something, alright? Anything."

"Go back to sleep," Lan Zhan said finally; his voice was wrong. It made a knot tighten on Wei Ying's stomach. "It's alright. It was just a nightmare."

Wei Ying didn't know Lan Zhan had nightmares; he didn't. He did sometimes, before; when he could remember hungry dogs or the feeling of his skin splitting under Zidian. When he was so angry he could hardly breathe, later, filled with too many awful memories that weren't even his own, when there were always screams echoing in his head.

But now - everything from his past life was little more than a hazy memory, hardly even present enough to leak into his dreams.

"We don't have to go back to sleep," he said, moving closer to Lan Zhan. "Let's go to the Back Mountain, yeah? See the bunnies. They always help."

He attempted to get out of bed, only to be pulled back by his husband, who wrapped his arms tightly around his torso and buried his face in his neck; he was trembling.

"Don't leave." Lan Zhan pleaded. "Not yet, please. I know - stay. For now. I've missed you so much."

"Alright," Wei Wuxian agreed, feeling more and more unsettled by the moment. "Alright. I'm not leaving, Lan Zhan. It's alright. I'm not leaving you."

Lan Zhan's arms tightened, and Wei Wuxian made a small noise as the breath was squeezed out of him; he usually greatly appreciated the Lan arm strength that his husband possessed, but right then, he felt his husband might be trying to squeeze him to death.

It would've been a great way to die, but he wasn't planning to go without complaining.

"Aiyah, Lan Zhan," he said, settling more comfortably into his husband's arms. "You're going to squeeze me to death, you know? I mean, I'll obviously enjoy it, I don't think there's anything you could do that I wouldn't enjoy, but you could at least try to be gentler with your poor, fragile husband. I'm not as strong as I used to be, you know? Ah, I guess I can't really blame Mo Xuanyu, he did give his life up for me to be here, but he could've at least-"

His shoulder was damp; his shoulder was damp, and Lan Zhan's shoulders were hitching in tiny little movements that meant crying, but the idea of Lan Zhan and crying was so foreign it took him too long to piece it together.

"Lan Zhan?" he asked. "What's going on? You're scaring me, husband." He tried to extract himself from his grip so he could turn around, look at him, but Lan Zhan made a wounded noise and held him closer. "Alright. Alright, I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. "We'll stay like this as long as you want. We'll stay like this forever, okay, Lan Zhan? No more being Hanguang-Jun. No more teaching the junior disciples, or visiting the rabbits. Just you and me, sitting here like this, until you're ready to move."

Lan Zhan nodded, and Wei Wuxian settled against him once more.

They'd talk about it tomorrow, or later, if Lan Zhan felt like he could talk; Wei Wuxian couldn't imagine what Lan Zhan's nightmares were about, if they left him like this. He swallowed and tried not to wonder whether they'd happened while he'd been dead, as well, if Lan Zhan had found himself sitting like this alone, in his bed, with no one to comfort him.

He swallowed again and sunk deeper into his husband's arms.

"It'll be alright, Lan Zhan," he said. "Everything's going to be okay."

Lan Zhan didn't respond.

Unti-unti ko ng sinusubukang tanggapin na wala na. Starting by admitting na wala na wala na kami sa mga nakakaalam ng relationship namin like LZ, office mates ko na kilala siya, his family, and My family.

Dec 26, birthday ng kapatid ko habang nagkakaraoke kami at siya yung kumakanta, hinawakan ko ang cellphone niya para mag scroll. Scroll lang, walang halong kahit ano, maniningin lang ng mga post at videos sa timeline. I opened the fb app but naalala ko na much better if tiktok nalang, nahide ko na yung app but nakita ko na may story siya, which is picture niya habang naka-mask. Bumalik ako sa app to make sure if tama ba nakita ko. Wala namang problema, pero I thought na parang di ko to nakita sa mga myday sa phone ko, (again, normal lang na nag wonder ako) so I just checked kung sino-sino nag react kasi syempre di siya yung tipo ng tao na nagpopost ng picture niya. Walang kahit na ano na tumatakbo sa isip ko kasi wala namang masama dun. Nakita ko lang na iilan lang nag react and may isang girl na nag send ng heart react tas si daryl f. May chat sa myday. At first ni ignore ko. Kasi wala namang problema sa pag rereact sa myday. Nihide ko na uli fb, but ewan ko kung anong meron pero naisipan ko uli balikan and iclick yung heart react nung girl and there nakita ko na may habang conversation, napataas kilay ko ng makita ko na ang chatty niya at maresponse lalo na ng makita kong restricted yung chat. Nag scroll up ako until umpisa and nag skim, sa chat ni girl I know na crush niya si Mac. Napansin ata niya na nagbago timpla ko, kaya pilit niya kinuha phone niya ichachat niya daw kuya niya na isend yung kt docs niya sa office sa lead niya since nalimutan niya daw blah blah. I thought na idedelete niya ying conversation but hindi at nabalikan ko pa. Sa conversation na yon, sa pagsskim ko, umagaw sa atensyon ko yung pangalan ni Sharmin na once lang namention at tumatak talaga sakin.

"kumusta na kayo ng bestfriend kong si Sharmin." Na sinagot niya ng, "sakanya mo nalang itanong." Isang beses lang namention, pero dito ko napagtanto na mali ako ng minamata, hindi ito yung tamang tao. Late ko na narealize na yung chat nila ni sharmin yung dinelete niya habang nakatayo siya at parang di mapakali nun(magpapasend lang ng kt docs sa kuya pero kelangan pa tumayo?).

Para akong binagsakan ng langit at lupa. Sobrang lungkot ko. Di ko alam ang gagawin ko ng gabing yon. Habang nasa sala kami ng pinapauwi ko na siya(ayaw niya matulog sa bahay), nakita ko nag send ng friend request yung isnag account ni sharmin. Tinanong ko siya kung sino yun, sabi niya, wala lang daw. Pero alam ko na kung sino yun.

Buong gabi ko inisip kung qnong gagawin ko pero di pa rin ako makapaniwala. Di ko alam gagawin ko. Di ako mapakali. Inaya ko siya magkape kinabukasan.

Dec 27, 2023. And usapan ay 2pm pero mas maaga siya dumating. Madami akong trabaho kaya 4pm na kami nakaalis papuntang nlex para magkape. After namin mag take out sa sb at pumarada. Kumain kami habang tahimik at tanging tunog lang ng spotify ang naririnig. Java chip ang pareho naming inorder, macadamia cookies ang pastry niya habang 4 cheese bread ang akin. Binasag ko ang katahimikan at kinamusta siya. Pormal ang way ko ng pakikipag usap. Sumagot siya at nagkwento.

Hanggang sa tinanong ko siya kung kumusta sila ni Sharmin. Natahimik siya. Sa mahabang katahimikan na yun ko nakuha ang sagot. Inulit ko ang tanong, na sinagot niya ng "siya tanungin mo".

Hindi ko na matandaan ang mga sumunod na pangyayari, tinatanong ko siya na parang tropa alam kong nangmomock ang tunog ko sakanya. Pero ang sakit sakit. Hindi niya ako masagot. Dinedeny niya.

This was not how it was supposed to go. He got too cocky, Elijah knew he should have waited for Magnus and Corvus. But even though he still had powers, he was still new to them. Like a baby taking its first steps. And while he did have some armor, it was nowhere near as good as ceramite and the cultists had no lasguns, but the bullets still fucking hurt. Elijah coughed, blood trickling out of his nose and mouth as he leaned on the wall still gripping his rifle. “Fuck..this is bad” he mumbled. He let his back hit the wall and slid down it. Digging through his pack he tried to find his first aid kid, something to stop the bleeding until he could return to camp. No matter what Magnus and Corvus could not see him like this. These wounds required him to take his shirt off and they did know yet - couldn’t know. He wasn't going to take the risk. While banding his wounds, his vox jumped to life and a voice came over. “Elijah” It spoke, fuck it was Corvus “Elijah we are at the rendezvous, where are you?”

Elijah could hear the slight panic in his voice. “Sorry, got held up '' Elijah said, shoving gause into the bullet wounds and slowly standing up, trying not to pass out. He adjusted his large coat to cover the wound, Luckily the bullet didn't go through his coat so he could hide it, for now. “I'm almost there, less than five mikes out, '' he huffed, slinging the rifle over his shoulder and starting to walk north, limping all the way. “Where are you,” Said Corvus over the vox “We can meet you -” “No!” Elijah shouted all too quickly “No - everything is fine I'm almost there..!” Elijah quickened his pace, moving through the city streets. “Be safe” Corvus spoke one last time, The click of the vox shutting off made Elijah sigh.

Eventually, Elijah rounded a corner and saw the large frame of Magnus and Corvus. Magnus was talking to some of his sons via vox, with Corvus nearby listening in. Elijah let out a soft sigh of relief, and Corvus must have heard him because he turned around to greet him. “Elijah... Are you alright?” He asked softly, glancing over his form. “I'm fine Cor,” Elijah said with a slight smile, he hated lying but he was too scared of them finding out. He wouldn't risk losing them. “Nothing I can't handle.” A large hand came to rest on his shoulder, its weight was comforting to him. A very small smile appeared on Corvus's face as he made eye contact with Elijah. He went to say something before Magnus appeared behind him. “Love, there you are,” He said looking at Elijah, “Corvus said you got held up, you are not hurt, are you? I can get an apothecary -” Elijah cut him off “Mag, I’m fine” he said with a huff “I may be smaller than you guys, but I’m not entirely human too, remember?” Magnus sighed, giving him a look almost like he knew something was off. But Magnus did not press any further. “We need to keep moving,” Corvus said, turning his back and starting to walk north deeper into the city “We are almost at the LZ and I’d rather not stay here longer than we must.”

Elijah fixed his bag and stifled a groan of pain, the pain of the bullet wounds starting to increase. “Yeah... It's only a few more miles right?” He said softly. He walked past Magnus, catching a look that Magnus gave Corvus. Did they know? Magnus never read his mind without asking first but what if he did? The walk was getting harder and harder, and Elijah could feel his pain get worse and worse. He needed medical help soon but Emperor dammit he was gonna do it himself. Elijah was trans, and he knew how in his world most humans reacted to it. He hadn't told Magnus or Corvus yet and was somewhat scared too. He loved them dearly and would not risk losing them… what if they hated him because of it? These thoughts were running through his head, the blood loss was getting to him. Elijah was tired, very tired. He stumbled and fell into a wall muttering some curses under his breath. Corvus stopped and looked back, quickly rushing to his side “Elijah what's wrong?” He asked hand stopping just inches from his form almost like he was scared to touch him like he’d break. “Nothing, im...Fine” he huffed out, his chest tight with pain and anxiety. “Eli” Magnus noticed something “You’re…bleeding?!” He asked in shock, pointing to the blood now seeping through his leather coat “Fuck… Look im fine guys, it’s okay” Elijah tried to speak coughing slightly. He tried to walk again, but his legs gave out. Bracing himself to hit the floor a pair of arms caught him before he fell to the ground. Corvus and Magnus leaned him against the wall and sat him down, Elijah was griping his side in pain. “Guys'm okay… im-” He was cut off by Magnus “I knew something was wrong,” He said breathlessly. “We need to deal with this before it gets worse” Magnus reached towards his jacket, pushing it aside and trying to slide it down his shoulders. “WOAH - hey wait-” Elijah pressed himself further into the wall behind him trying to get away from Magnus’s hands. “Eli it's okay - “ Corvus began trying to calm him down “Wait I can-” Elijah spoke trying to bat Magnus’s hands away. “Guys please wait..!” Elijah yelled, partially in pain and in fear “Elijah what is wrong?” Magnus said trying to steady him. Elijah was panting and shaking and he was about to pass out. “Guys’m fine, Please, wait..!” Magnus and Corvus were talking to him, but it was just a ringing blur of sound. His eyelids grew heavy, and he tried to fight it as much as he could, but it was too much for him to handle, eventually, he slumped to the side, and one of them caught him and held him gently. “I don't… don’t want you to hate me too…” he mumbled letting the pain and darkness overtake him.

A soft beeping filled his ears first, then a low hum. Elijah groaned in pain, and then slowly opened his eyes. At first, it was bright and blurry, and Elijah slowly realized there were three figures. Two were massive, one red like the sun and the other black like darkness. It looked like they were talking to a smaller figure, maybe a human. But he couldn't tell, his head was pounding. He couldn’t hear what they were saying, their outlines still blurry. Elijah attempted to try to sit up, only to shout out in pain and he gripped his chest where he was shot. He hissed through gritted teeth still trying to sit up. The figures, which he now realized were Magnus and Corvus talking to an apothecary, turned around at the sound. “Elijah..!” they both said, rushing to his side. “You must sit back down,” Magnus said, putting a soft hand on his shoulder and trying to gently push him back. Corvus set a hand on his leg trying to comfort him. “Im-Im fine” Elijah spoke through gritted teeth. “Elijah… You need to rest” Corvus said gently squeezing his leg and setting a hand on his other shoulder Finally with both of them he let them push him back to the bed. But anxiety was eating him Elijah, his heart rate jumping up. He was terrified, they must know now, his secret that he was trans. They must have sensed his fears and attempted to comfort him. “Elijah…” Corvus spoke softly, but Elijah would not look at them. “Elijah..please look at us…” Elijah just closed his eyes, breaths coming out in puffs almost like he was hyperventilating, He lowered his head until a very soft hand came under his chin and lifted his head, a thumb stoked his cheek softly. Finally, Elijah opened his eyes and looked to Magnus, then slowly to Corvus. “Why…why are you so scared?” Corvus asked softly and gently, as if he spoke too loud it would shatter Elijah like glass. “Did we do something wrong? You know we would never hurt you,” Magnus spoke next squeezing his shoulder softly. “Im sorry…” Elijah spoke, “I didn’t mean to lie to you, I wasn’t trying to hurt you, I swear!” He said looking between them. “ Then why didn’t you tell us?” he said“ You know we love you no matter what, Elijah but why did you hide this? Elijah squeezed his eyes shut again tightly. Scared to speak, he swallowed hard and then opened his mouth. “Be-Because where im from, my earth or uh, terra, It's not widely accepted..” He said sadly opening his eyes as a single tear cascaded down his cheek. “I was often outcast, bullied, and…assaulted for being… Me, I was hated and never seen as a man, a real man…” Elijah said holding back more tears. Shock crossed the features of Corvus and Magnus, surprised that there could be people like this, that this..madness had happened to someone they care and love. “Im… Im sorry Elijah, my love, Im so sorry this happened to you…” Corvus said, kneeling to be as close to eye level as he could be. “That is why you were scared, you didn’t know how we would react so therefore you hid it from us…” He said, rubbing his cheek again and raising his head to look at him. “But I love you, we, love you. For you.” He said softly smiling, Elijah softly smiled too looking between the two of his lovers. “No matter what anyone else says, you are a man. You are more of a man than most.” Elijah let out a soft huff, smiling a little stronger at the comment. “You are strong, Fearless, brave and kind. All the qualities of a good man.” Elijah sighed softly and rolled his eyes. “Thank you, my loves, I mean it… For patching me up…again… and-and for loving me, as me and I really am…” he reached up and rested one hand on Corvus’s and Magnus’s faces and softly caressed them. “Thank you” He said, with a real smile.

There's also a marvelous side story in the series set during wwx's death where jc gets invited to Lan sizhui's courtesy name ceremony (which is how everyone learns this Lan heir even exists). And jc realizes he's his brother's kid and gives him "the bow of a dead beloved shixiong" - only sect bro older than jc was wwx, but no one living remembers. Greatwriting

17. Hi there. So I'm currently in the mood of reading wangxian AU or canon divergence fics. If possible the fics shouldn't be a short story, and I really, really just want WangXian, other characters may appear or mentioned, but I'm not in the mood of reading other chara's self importance appearance, so yeah just wangxian.

E.g a canon divergence when LWJ took WWX to an exile after the bloodbath in Nightless City, or a scenario where they were in the run, or the post 13 years WangXian just run away and don't give a shit about the revenge drama NHS and JGY are having about, anyway, it must be 90% of the fic, should be about wangxian.

To be more specific, perhaps some canon divergence where wangxian just don't give a shit about the cultivation world? Either before the First siege happen, or post 13 years, but preferably before wwx dying because I think it's a pity for a fine man like YLLaozu to die, lol. Just a pair of husband running away, live in seclusion, feeling discovery, etc.

Or an AU of soulmate or abo, or martial arts au, royal drama au, where it's, again, only about wangxian.

This was not how it was supposed to go. He got too cocky, Elijah knew he should have

waited for Magnus and Corvus. But even though he still had powers, he was still new to

them. Like a baby taking its first steps. And while he did have some armor, it was

nowhere near as good as ceramite and the cultists had no lasguns, but the bullets still

fucking hurt. Elijah coughed, blood trickling out of his nose and mouth as he leaned on

the wall still gripping his rifle. “Fuck..this is bad” he mumbled. He let his back hit the wall

and slid down it. Digging through his pack he tried to find his first aid kid, something to

stop the bleeding until he could return to camp. No matter what Magnus and Corvus

could not see him like this. These wounds required him to take his shirt off and they did

know yet - couldn’t know. He wasn't going to take the risk. While banding his wounds,

his vox jumped to life and a voice came over. “Elijah” It spoke, fuck it was Corvus “Elijah

we are at the rendezvous, where are you?”

Elijah could hear the slight panic in his voice. “Sorry, got held up '' Elijah said, shoving

gause into the bullet wounds and slowly standing up, trying not to pass out. He adjusted

his large coat to cover the wound, Luckily the bullet didn't go through his coat so he

could hide it, for now. “I'm almost there, less than five mikes out, '' he huffed, slinging

the rifle over his shoulder and starting to walk north, limping all the way. “Where are

you,” Said Corvus over the vox “We can meet you -” “No!” Elijah shouted all too quickly

“No - everything is fine I'm almost there..!” Elijah quickened his pace, moving through

the city streets. “Be safe” Corvus spoke one last time, The click of the vox shutting off

made Elijah sigh.

Eventually, Elijah rounded a corner and saw the large frame of Magnus and Corvus.

Magnus was talking to some of his sons via vox, with Corvus nearby listening in. Elijah

let out a soft sigh of relief, and Corvus must have heard him because he turned around

to greet him. “Elijah... Are you alright?” He asked softly, glancing over his form. “I'm fine

Cor,” Elijah said with a slight smile, he hated lying but he was too scared of them finding

out. He wouldn't risk losing them. “Nothing I can't handle.” A large hand came to rest on

his shoulder, its weight was comforting to him. A very small smile appeared on Corvus's

face as he made eye contact with Elijah. He went to say something before Magnus

appeared behind him. “Love, there you are,” He said looking at Elijah, “Corvus said you

got held up, you are not hurt, are you? I can get an apothecary -” Elijah cut him off

“Mag, I’m fine” he said with a huff “I may be smaller than you guys, but I’m not entirely

human too, remember?” Magnus sighed, giving him a look almost like he knew

something was off. But Magnus did not press any further. “We need to keep moving,”

Corvus said, turning his back and starting to walk north deeper into the city “We are

almost at the LZ and I’d rather not stay here longer than we must.”

Elijah fixed his bag and stifled a groan of pain, the pain of the bullet wounds starting to

increase. “Yeah... It's only a few more miles right?” He said softly. He walked past

Magnus, catching a look that Magnus gave Corvus. Did they know? Magnus never read

his mind without asking first but what if he did? No, he wouldn't, Magnus said he

wouldn’t so Elijah just had to trust that he would keep his promise. Elijah took up the

back, as Magnus and Corvus walked ahead. Tiredness started to creep into Elijah's

bones, but he could press forward.

The walk was getting harder and harder, and Elijah could feel his pain get worse and

worse. He needed medical help soon but Emperor dammit he was gonna do it himself.

Elijah was trans, and he knew how in his world most humans reacted to it. He hadn't

told Magnus or Corvus yet and was somewhat scared too. He loved them dearly and

would not risk losing them… what if they hated him because of it? These thoughts were

running through his head, the blood loss was getting to him. Elijah was tired, very tired.

He stumbled and fell into a wall muttering some curses under his breath. Corvus

stopped and looked back, quickly rushing to his side “Elijah what's wrong?” He asked

hand stopping just inches from his form almost like he was scared to touch him like he’d

break. “Nothing, im...Fine” he huffed out, his chest tight with pain and anxiety. “Eli”

Magnus noticed something “You’re…bleeding?!” He asked in shock, pointing to the

blood now seeping through his leather coat “Fuck… Look im fine guys, it’s okay” Elijah

tried to speak coughing slightly. He tried to walk again, but his legs gave out. Bracing

himself to hit the floor a pair of arms caught him before he fell to the ground. Corvus and

Magnus leaned him against the wall and sat him down, Elijah was griping his side in

pain. “Guys'm okay… im-” He was cut off by Magnus “I knew something was wrong,” He

said breathlessly. “We need to deal with this before it gets worse” Magnus reached

towards his jacket, pushing it aside and trying to slide it down his shoulders. “WOAH -

hey wait-” Elijah pressed himself further into the wall behind him trying to get away from

Magnus’s hands. “Eli it's okay - “ Corvus began trying to calm him down “Wait I can-”

Elijah spoke trying to bat Magnus’s hands away. “Guys please wait..!” Elijah yelled,

partially in pain and in fear “Elijah what is wrong?” Magnus said trying to steady him.

Elijah was panting and shaking and he was about to pass out. “Guys’m fine, Please,

wait..!” Magnus and Corvus were talking to him, but it was just a ringing blur of sound.

His eyelids grew heavy, and he tried to fight it as much as he could, but it was too much

for him to handle, eventually, he slumped to the side, and one of them caught him and

held him gently. “I don't… don’t want you to hate me too…” he mumbled letting the pain

and darkness overtake him.

A soft beeping filled his ears first, then a low hum. Elijah groaned in pain, and then

slowly opened his eyes. At first, it was bright and blurry, and Elijah slowly realized there

were three figures. Two were massive, one red like the sun and the other black like

darkness. It looked like they were talking to a smaller figure, maybe a human. But he

couldn't tell, his head was pounding. He couldn’t hear what they were saying, their

outlines still blurry. Elijah attempted to try to sit up, only to shout out in pain and he

gripped his chest where he was shot. He hissed through gritted teeth still trying to sit up.

The figures, which he now realized were Magnus and Corvus talking to an apothecary,

turned around at the sound. “Elijah..!” they both said, rushing to his side. “You must sit

back down,” Magnus said, putting a soft hand on his shoulder and trying to gently push

him back. Corvus set a hand on his leg trying to comfort him. “Im-Im fine” Elijah spoke

through gritted teeth. “Elijah… You need to rest” Corvus said gently squeezing his leg

and setting a hand on his other shoulder Finally with both of them he let them push him

back to the bed. But anxiety was eating him Elijah, his heart rate jumping up. He was

terrified, they must know now, his secret that he was trans. They must have sensed his

fears and attempted to comfort him. “Elijah…” Corvus spoke softly, but Elijah would not

look at them. “Elijah..please look at us…” Elijah just closed his eyes, breaths coming out

in puffs almost like he was hyperventilating, He lowered his head until a very soft hand

came under his chin and lifted his head, a thumb stoked his cheek softly. Finally, Elijah

opened his eyes and looked to Magnus, then slowly to Corvus. “Why…why are you so

scared?” Corvus asked softly and gently, as if he spoke too loud it would shatter Elijah

like glass. “Did we do something wrong? You know we would never hurt you,” Magnus

spoke next squeezing his shoulder softly. “Im sorry…” Elijah spoke, “I didn’t mean to lie

to you, I wasn’t trying to hurt you, I swear!” He said looking between them. “ Then why

didn’t you tell us?” he said“ You know we love you no matter what, Elijah but why did

you hide this? Elijah squeezed his eyes shut again tightly. Scared to speak, he

swallowed hard and then opened his mouth. “Be-Because where im from, my earth or

uh, terra, It's not widely accepted..” He said sadly opening his eyes as a single tear

cascaded down his cheek. “I was often outcast, bullied, and…assaulted for being… Me,

I was hated and never seen as a man, a real man…” Elijah said holding back more

tears. Shock crossed the features of Corvus and Magnus, surprised that there could be

people like this, that this..madness had happened to someone they care and love. “Im…

Im sorry Elijah, my love, Im so sorry this happened to you…” Corvus said, kneeling to

be as close to eye level as he could be. “That is why you were scared, you didn’t know

how we would react so therefore you hid it from us…” He said, rubbing his cheek again

and raising his head to look at him. “But I love you, we, love you. For you.” He said

softly smiling, Elijah softly smiled too looking between the two of his lovers. “No matter

what anyone else says, you are a man. You are more of a man than most.” Elijah let out

a soft huff, smiling a little stronger at the comment. “You are strong, Fearless, brave and

kind. All the qualities of a good man.” Elijah sighed softly and rolled his eyes. “Thank

you, my loves, I mean it… For patching me up…again… and-and for loving me, as me

and I really am…” he reached up and rested one hand on Corvus’s and Magnus’s faces

and softly caressed them. “Thank you” He said, with a real smile.
