if we’re talking about only the marauders, i think hope’s favourite is peter (he’s such a sweet, young boy!), and for lyall i’d say… james (james reminds lyall a little of him as a young man, and he likes lively people). euphemia’s favourite is sirius, and fleamont’s is either sirius or remus (he always was only slightly suspicious of peter, although he and james had been friends since forever). lydia’s favourite is sirius (reminds her of when she was his age), and cora’s is james (she gets very good vibes from him).

marauder parents hcs:

mostly for my own continuity fanfic writing reasons

remus- hope and lyall; very in love, they're an adventuring turned sitting on the sofa with a cuppa couple. they both sell things at the village market, and help out neighbouring farms. hope died in early 80s and lyall spends the rest of his life mourning her and his son

james- euphemia and fleamont; literally besotted with each other, best friends turned lovers but it was fleamont crushing heavy on euphemia whilst euphemia was in a highschool romance with minerva. died in each other's arms <3

sirius & regulus- orion and walburga; arranged marriage, knew each other since they were babies (being cousins and all). didn't particularly get on, they just tolerated each other and both had numerous affairs

peter- lydia and cora (mum and dad divorced and his dad legally isn't allowed to see him); lydia was a teen mum to peter and later realised she was a lesbian, got with cora whilst peter was a teenager and cora became his unofficial mum-in-law.

dorcas- bob (mum isn't around/left when she was very young); he's bob the builder /real. is very gay. never came out to dorcas (she knew). sirius was the one who told him dorcas was dead, weeks after it happened. and after it came out in the muggle world of sirius being a huge criminal, bob blamed him for dorcas' death.

lily- jean and lee; both huge workaholics (boring office jobs) and put a lot of academic pressure on petunia and lily. *cough* lee is in love with bob *cough*. lily gets the ginger-ness from lee. they both don't know a lot about their kids life, which they regretted after lily's death.

marlene- catherine and ian; catherine is a huge bitch, we hate her. ian is just there. he's a classic sitcom dad- goes to work, reads the paper, watches tv, occasionally fixes stuff in the house and plays football with his sons. he's much closer to marlene's brothers, since catherine doesn't like marlene doing 'masculine' things. they're both middle class, wannabe perfect and traditional family people.

mary- aymee and ronnie; quite chill. ronnie works at the post office, and aymee sells homemade jewellery. they both get on more with mary than her older goth lesbian sister, sy. aymee went to hogwarts, was in hufflepuff, so is the parent to help mary out with magic related things.

emmeline- mi-sook and yeong-su; yeong-su went to hogwarts so got emmeline to live with her grandparents (in scotland) so she could go there too. as such, she's not that close to her parents. she does gets on with her mum, sending letters to each other every week and spending time together when emmeline visits. but doesn't get on with her dad, him being distant and comparing her to her younger siblings

pandora- tilly and cian; they both worked as apprentices to nicholas flamel after finishing school and met each other there. they're the lovegoods (i'm a 'xenophilius took pandora's last name' truther.) regulus' parents let him be friends with pandora in hopes her parents would get regulus a connection to the flamel's. they both dissaproved of xenophilius but agreed it was better than pandora's previous sapphic poly relationship

"they're so annoying," peter groaned, flopping himself down on the chair next to lydia, who was, at that moment, stirring some cookie dough.

"who is?" she asked, putting her finger in the bowl and then tasting the dough on her finger. "here, try it."

peter gratefully tried some, then sighed, wiping his finger on his arm. "remus and sirius. i swear, they're always staring at each other like their lives depend on it. they're so in love it's sickening, and i think that, besides james, they're the only ones who can't see it."

"have you considered the idea that maybe they're together?" lydia asked, sitting down next to her son. "i mean, together, and telling neither you and james, nor the rest of the world? remus seems like a pretty secretive person to me. have you noticed anything out of the ordinary about them? say... spending more time behind closed doors together? are they more affectionate? do they shove their tongues down each other's throats?"

"mum!" peter laughed, covering his face. "why would you ask that?"

"no clue, but the pettigrews aren't known for being observant, much like james." she winked. "i've been telling you about cora, it took me half an year to realize what those flowers and what i considered to be weird affection meant. maybe you just haven't noticed. but i'm sure they'd tell you anything, you're a good secret keeper."

"you know something." he pointed an accusing finger to her.

lydia put her hands up, as if she was surrendering. "i do not know such thing." she blew him a raspberry.

he looked at her, brows furrowed, but his face broke into a smile as he spread a sheet out for the cookies. "these are really good, by the way."

"anything for you." she smiled, leaning on the two back legs of her chair, watching peter fanning around the wonky oven.

teen wolf , marauders era .

a collection of thoughts surrounding the idea of a teen wolf , hogwarts au , set in the marauders era because the angst really peaked there. [ maybe part one, if people want more ? ]

scott mccall and stiles stilinski are still best friends. scott mccall the hatstall.

scott mccall the hufflepuff head boy, who would light a path back to the common room for any student, lost in the hallowed halls at midnight.

a crooked smile, warm voice, wand tossed between his hands like butter, he wears magic on his skin and sinks to its touch.

his hardships are there in his scars, lines of all shapes and sizes and he’s not afraid to let them show.

and when he comes across eleven year old james potter and sirius black having a little too much fun, it’s his exasperated smile but the stern dip of his tone and the respect , the respect they can’t help but give that drives them on their way.

of course he’s not popular with everyone , but four gryffindor boys spend the evening hunched over a parchment of notes trying to decipher just why this mccall was so .. cool ????

and they realised, as he swept round the corner in time to catch peter pettigrew from falling down the stone steps - he was that promise. that promise of a presence, they would not be alone.

scott mccall is the hatstall, the golden boy, and stiles stilinski is the seeker.

stiles stilinski is the ravenclaw, who spent more time with the slytherins and for someone in denial of his slytherin tendencies .. maybe he felt a little bit at home there too .

stiles whose mind never stops running, and a smirk bounces across his face back and forth as his wand taps in a rhythm across every desk he meets.

sometimes he plays it like the drums to make the third years laugh. and almost always ends up sending sparks into the air, sparks that form faces in the light and mimic their teachers.

the seeker who spends too much time nose diving for scotts taste, grappling with the quaffle and keeping an eye on his best friends recklessness.

he always came up with his best plans in the air , letting the wind brush his worries from his face.

sorted a ravenclaw, more slytherin than he thought . but the others see it, their tight circle of friends, sorted a ravenclaw subconsciously hiding the slytherin at heart.

the one who winked when the marauders somehow escaped getting caught by filch.

he wasn’t the only one of course, allison argent had the same habit , but no qualms cutting the fuse on the cold hearted touches.

the gryffindor prefect, who languishes on the chairs in front of the fire and won’t give to anyone’s pleading puppy eyes

except scott mccall how does he do that

nobody bothers to ask how they get in, very rare to find one of this group without the rest.

a prefect because damn right she takes no shit from anyone , the prefect because that doesn’t just mean other houses, but gryffindor too, that doesn’t just mean she’ll deflate egos but protect them too.

allison argent was the one that taught the art of ‘we protect those that cannot protect themselves’ .

allison argent whose never seen without kira yukimura and lydia martin .

this is their home, they have made it their home, these stones walls glowing in the soft of the torches tapered to the walls.

this is their home and they never stop fighting for it . the first to roll out into the grip of war , the first of their classmates to sign along the metaphorical dotted line.

they are not the order, they do not trust the order, they are side eyes with narrowed gazes, sharing looks overhead of first years when dumbledore touches on the subject .

children at war .

and they cannot let these children take on this war.

but they will not sugarcoat it .

and ten years down the line they find the marauders in all out violence , and the order fighting back, the death eaters closing in .

and james potter still feels more in awe of them, argent with her bow and arrow, the tattoo on her side suddenly so incredibly alive.

stilinski with his gun , muggle gun, and a baseball bat never far behind .

and mccall , still head boy even after years he - he’s more of a leader in the wallow of those dark eyes than the old man pulling at the reigns .

james can trust as dumbledore takes them to war and mccall will pull them through it .

but who survives to see the end of it is anyone’s guess.

I had a dream last night

I think it started with a reality in which there was a Harry Potter TV show remake, completely non-canon and not following the same storyline

For the third season (which would be POA era) there were flashbacks of the Marauders era, and it went like this:

Someone was skipping down a road, bag slung over their shoulder, I think they were surrounded by a neighborhood. As I got a closer look, I recognized some features:

Above shoulder length raven black hair, pale skin and black clothes. I recognized them as Severus Snape.

But they’re not Severus, they’re not a boy. Not if you went by their appearance.

They were wearing black platform heals, their legs in fishnets and a peculiar dress with lace and covered with safety pins (I think my imagination took after Sophia Anne Caruso’s Lydia Deets, so imagine her)

As they were skipping down the road, a boy met them. He ran towards them from one of the houses and greeted them with an embrace, he called them “Severinè”.

It was James Potter. They continued down the road hand in hand.

They were talking enthusiastically about something, I can’t remember what, but from what I could see, they appeared to be dating (not sure how I feel about that)

Next frame, they’re at a stadium, I’m guessing it was a quidditch stadium, because everyone was dressed for their team. I’m not sure if it was at Hogwards or a Quidditch World Cup, but it doesn’t matter.

They were climbing some stairs to get to the top. It seemed like Severinè was quite popular, because a fair amount of people struck a conversation with them. Among them, was Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom and maybe Peter Pettigrew?

After this, everything is more of a blur. I remember some people showed romantic interest in Severinè, and then some things happened on the field.

Next frame, Severinè is preparing for a show. They are backstage of the Quidditch field with some other people in costumes. Some new faces appear, I think my old art teacher and some of the Weasley’s were there, along with some characters from other fandoms that I can’t remember, and Zendaya in her character from The Greatest Showman.

Again, things becomes blurry. I slightly remember music and magic and dancing, particularly the song “The Greatest Show” and a giant pink and glittery fingernail.

I think I started to drift from the dream, and tried to fight to stay back, because I was enjoying it so much, but then I woke up.

In summary:

Snape is trans/genderfluid, dating James Potter, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin are pretty much non-existing, Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom are in love with Severine, and Severinè is an underground showman.

THE MISSION IS OVER.

As the mission comes to a close and a majority of those in the Order get home safely, the news that Ainsley Abbott has betrayed the organization with the murder of James Potter becomes the main topic of discussion with the members. Mary Macdonald was able to retrieve James’ body and brought it back to Lily Evans at the Potter Estate, while Emmeline Vance and Severus Snape helped continue to monitor the map and treat the injured. 

Those who were focused on retrieving the orb had varying levels of success: Edgar Bones and Caradoc Dearborn found what they assume to be the real orb in the cellar. They still need to submit the object to Gideon (without Ainsley’s help, this time) for testing, but are largely confident in their success. Meanwhile, Amos Diggory, Artem Tremblay, and Maurice Creevey discover a map with locations and a list of dates that they believe to be telling of future Death Eater plans. The last group in search of the orb, Isla Sewlyn-Macmillian and Archie Macmillian, were captured by Death Eaters in the chaos after the murder, despite the original assumption by the Order that they would be the safest to blend in.

Sirius Black and Mundungus Fletcher were caught in their attempts to locate Death Eater information by Cordelia Greengrass, thus resulting in her convincing Dorcas Meadowes to let her into headquarters once the chaos began. At the time, Dorcas was alone due to Ndulue Travers abandoning their mission at the first sight of trouble. Lydia Avery was also brought into the Order’s safe house on McKinnon Farm by Daisy Hookum. Despite having not been aware of the Order’s mission, Amelia Bones was also caught in the crossfire and was brought to headquarters later, where she tended her splinched brother.

As not many in the Order knew that Andromeda Tonks was under polyjuice as her sister, Bellatrix Black, she was mistaken to be the real Death Eater by multiple people, including an awkward encounter with Frank Longbottom where he tried to battle her. Despite this, she and Ryland Greengrass were both able to make it safely back to headquarters, where Emma Vanity was reuniting with Dorcas. As Andromeda did not want to blow her cover, she immediately went home. 

Before Alice Longbottom Disapparated, she was able to track down and capture the Death Eater Lachlan Greengrass. She will have to make a statement to the Ministry of Magic about what happened at the engagement party. Lachlan has been placed under the custody of the Auror department and will stay in Ministry cells, pending trial.

On the grounds of the manor, Branwen Yaxley and Fabian Prewett discovered a sinister sighting of sixteen dead bodies. They don’t know what these bodies will be used for, but have taken a picture with a Muggle camera to show the Inner Circle. As it happened so quickly, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew were not able to support the Order before the chaos began, but learned of James’ death by a patronus from Emmeline. Despite being able to get the wards down in time for the emergency Disapparition, Marlene McKinnon was still injured by Death Eaters and taken to headquarter by Gideon Prewett, who then went back to the party to help get James’ friends out without more harm. 

THINGS TO CONSIDER.

Now that James has died, there is much that the members of the Order will need to discuss, particularly because his death was due to one of their own’s betrayal. 

James is Secret Keeper and owner of the Order’s headquarters, along with the main funder for the organization. Do they have someone like Sirius ask James’ mother for money? How do they keep the location a secret? Do they find a new location for headquarters instead?

Now that everyone is Secret Keeper due to the original’s death, this also includes Ainsley, who has betrayed them. Not only that, but Peter could potentially give up their location as well, given he is the unknown spy.

Prior to this mission, James implied to the Order the Remus is a werewolf. What do they do about this now? They’re unable to ask James any follow-up questions. 

James was working on a plan to leak fake information to the Ministry in order to figure out who is a Voldemort supporter and who isn’t. What happens to this plan? It can be found on a desk in one of the studies, where James was working on it. 

Ainsley knows who they are, knows their names, and works for the Daily Prophet. What now? What will she do? What do they do about her? 

How do they stop James’ friends, particularly Sirius, from tearing-off in distress to kill Ainsley and other Death Eaters, which would likely result in him getting himself - and anyone else he drags along - killed too?

Those who attended as themselves with polyjuiced partners have some explaining to do. How do they make their excuses to avoid suspicion? Do they pretend to have also been polyjuiced, or do they admit to having been at the party but having had no idea their “partner” wasn’t who they seemed? Do they pretend they thought it was a prank, or make some other excuse?

Karli will be taking up the role of Regulus Black, who will come in via plot drops throughout the next few weeks. His application can be found here. He will not be set for activity requirements until the plot drops have occurred and he is officially in play. 

Ainsley Abbott will be moved to a secondary role, allowing for periodic interactions without the activity requirements, given that she is no longer part of the Order. 

The Death Eater list will be updated to include the changes reflected from Alice’s capture of Lachlan Greengrass.
