The leather mask is resting next to Kaneki's thigh. Hide doesn't think much of it, but several bright red objects are lying on the bed. They looked warm in Hide's blurry vision so the blond waddles over to the bed and curls up around the kagune. Hide was right. They are warm. Kaneki jumps at the contact and spins around to see his blond boyfriend tangled up in his kagune. Hide is already asleep and is hugging one of the tentacles to his face with a sigh. The half-ghoul can't help but smile at the human. Kaneki brushes back some of Hide's bangs and kisses the blond on the cheek. Kaneki carefully untangles himself from Hide's clutches and replaces the missing rinkaku with a red octopus plushy. Hide hugs the octopus closer to his chest as he curls up into a ball. Kaneki smiles before rushing out to go to Anteiku to eat. He wants to come home quickly so he can snuggle with Hide.
