Dicen que el que busca, encuentra... (they say that those who seek, find)... although not always exactly what they're looking for! (LOL)
Was looking for something quite different, but came across these Gloria Content * images:

actual trainwrecks predictions
okay it's time to make some non-shippy predictions. Here goes:
I hope James and Makoto get back together by the end of this season... but something tells me things are going to get worse before they get better. Best guess, it'll be season 2. (I said non-shippy and immediately went to NY grown-up otp in this series. I guess I meant not about shipping the kids lol.)
Allen O has been mentioned a few times, and between his significance to Dimitri and Jasmine's storylines and his mysterious lack of a full surname, I'm highly suspicious he's going to be important later. I'm also a little scared for the reason why.
Luna seems to be doing better with her suicidal ideation these days... but this passage from chapter one still gives me pause: “'...I almost died of boredom! Dimitri found me face down in the living room one day and screamed because he thought I’d passed out. It was so funny.' ... 'If it hadn’t been for his sister’s return to the States, I might not be standing here today. True story.'” Please tell me that's just a joke and not foreshadowing. With everything her friends have going on, and her old routine of pretending she's fine, I'm not going to discount the possibility that she might be going through something but keep it under the surface because she doesn't want to upset the balance. Please be okay for real Luna, we love you. 💛
Not really a prediction, but going by the "key images" post... it looks like the Hirashima-Hales are going to reconcile to each other in some way, and Victoria will be at the center. Yay!
Ok that's all I have for now. Bye :3

For this week's book rec post, I'm turning it over to you. What are your favorite queer indie books?
This is only part of my indie collection, in fact most of these belong to my fellow hosts of the Right Here, Write Queer podcast. I have two shelves dedicated to indies, but some of my favorites like the Monstrous Series by Lily Mayne I've only read in ebook form and haven't collected in print. Yet.
I've also listened to a good deal in audiobook format, which over the past couple of years has become my second favorite way to read, with print being the first. The Perilous Court series by Tavia Lark was fantastic, along with Exhale and Bleed by Joel Abernathy and perhaps all my all time favorite, the Fire and Brimstone series by Nikole Knight.
There are so many more, and so many left to read. Which brings me back to my original question. What's your favorite?

Alanna Vagianos at HuffPost:
Republican Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Katie Britt (Ala.) on Monday introduced legislation to protect in vitro fertilization, months after a controversial Alabama Supreme Court ruling that led providers to halt the fertility procedure. The IVF Protection Act seeks to protect IVF nationwide by barring states from receiving Medicaid funding if they implement a ban on the fertility treatment. The bill defines IVF as a procedure where “eggs are collected from ovaries and manually fertilized by sperm for later placement inside of a uterus.” The legislation states that it does not stop states from enacting health and safety protocols within IVF clinics. [...]
In February, Senate Republicans blocked a bill to protect IVF. Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) introduced the Access to Family Building Act, which would have established a statutory right to IVF and other fertility treatments, as well as given physicians the right to provide fertility care without the fear of prosecution. The bill would also have allowed insurance companies to cover the cost of fertility treatments, which can be extremely high. [...] The majority of House Republicans have supported legislation that would threaten fertility treatments on the national level, even though Donald Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, claims he supports IVF. Several other House Republicans, however, have introduced two resolutions that expressed strong support for IVF but had zero legislative power to actually protect the fertility treatment. And the same week the majority of House Republicans endorsed an abortion ban that would threaten IVF, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) introduced a bill that would have safeguarded the treatment.
Republican Senators Katie Britt and Ted Cruz introduce a window dressing bill called the IVF Protection Act that purports to protect In Vitro Fertilization but does nothing to actually protect IVF. These same Senators voted against the Access to Family Building Act, a bill that would have meaningfully protected IVF access. #ProtectIVF

Harvey has joined the inaugural Visionary Alliance for the National Hispanic Media Coalition! As The Hollywood Reporter describes:
Alliance members will lend their professional expertise to longstanding NHMC entertainment initiatives such as its Series Scriptwriters Program and Latinx Stream Showcase and also get involved in the nonprofit’s social justice and policy advocacy work.
“NHMC is about representation from the White House to Hollywood,” the coalition’s president and CEO Brenda Victoria Castillo tells THR. “The policies and decisions that are made in D.C. affect Hollywood. The way Hollywood decides they’re going to portray Latinos is the way we’re perceived and the way the public treats us, and it’s a vicious cycle.”
The inaugural Alliance members also include Ismael Cruz Córdova (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Wilson Cruz, Rosario Dawson, Diane Guerrero (Encanto, Doom Patrol), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Eva Longoria, Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us), Justina Machado, Encanto producer Yvett Merino, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Danny Pino (Mayans M.C., Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Aubrey Plaza, Gina Torres, Wilmer Valderrama and Lisa Vidal (Being Mary Jane).
