Friend 2: *responding to Friend* I disagree because Jasmine and Dimitri have a trauma bond and I think he actually knows Jasmine better than the others do. Friend: Duke should be a little more annoyed about (spoiler) considering all the chaos they went through in Season 2. Friend 2: Wait I didn't know about (S4 spoiler)! Ooooh! :DDDDD Friend: But honestly the changes are so minor that I don't think anyone would notice if you didn't make them. Me: Girl, y'all told me the previous draft was fine and I rewrote half of it. I'm making the changes.

DON'T WORRY LUNA I'LL THINK ABOUT IT FOR YOU

While making academic plans for thousands of students, my brain spared some power to figure out how not to add an extra season to Trainwrecks. There's a five-year time skip between the penultimate and final seasons during which A Lot of Stuff happens, just not all at the same time--hence my inability to call it a proper season.

Penny's solution: a series of short stories for the main characters, around 3-5 installments each.

We start with Duke in 2011ish, making the most difficult decision of his life and then flying across the continent.

Next, Sebastian dealing with the aftermath of Duke's decision while also taking care of a post-season five Dimitri.

Third, Dimitri hitting rock bottom in 2012 and reconnecting with his therapist to pull himself together.

Fourth, Victoria coming back from Alaska in 2013 and meeting someone very important.

Fifth, Jasmine's final confrontation with her younger self, who has been haunting her all these years.

And sixth, Luna in November of 2015, receiving the horrible news that will send her home at last and set the final season in motion.

It's a work in progress. Might change my mind later, but this feels good for now. Luna will be a thread running through everyone else's stories, present in rumors of her whereabouts and dealings, and only becoming solid and real again in her own story.

I've said a lot of scary things about season six, but let me assure everyone that season five will be just like the Planetarium scene and Summer Montage in La La Land... until it isn't.

Sobriety is a lifelong journey, and you experienced something very traumatic on Friday. Dimitri: *rubs temples* Duke's coming home. Dr. Sutton: I'm glad he's taking time to rest. Dimitri: Tor will be here in a week. Dimitri: And... so will Luna. Dr. Sutton: Oh my. Dimitri: All six of us together for the first time since the wedding. *grins* So you can't blame me if I'm drunk through New Year's.

And because you were SO worried about transportation, I asked a guy I know who works at Best Buy to save me some packaging so I can ship it to you. Luna: *speechless* Dimitri: Well? Isn't it awesome? I did good, right?? Praise me. Luna: This is wonderful... thank you so much!! ;O; Dimitri: You're welcome. *hands her an envelope* Luna: What's this? *looks inside* Receipts...? I've only been building my own computers since I was 12. Luna: I'm not questioning your judgment-- Dimitri: You're literally questioning my-- Sebastian: Should we stop them? Jasmine: *eating nachos and watching the argument like it's a sporting event* Nah.

The only bright spot to today's harrowing episode was the slight hint of excited panic detectable in the way Luna reacted to Dimitri's DM now that Things Have Changed :)
