Hello everyone!

Today I started planning out the contents for 'job expectations for director'. Nice to be done with production manager, and start the next section. Also managed to get more of my costume done!

i cant believe i havent posted these yet..... ive been collecting some plushies over a while to represent the guys in my eos team (and lumi) and i thought it would be a fun way to officially christen them by sewing them some lil accessories to match the ones i draw them with!

🌷So I did a thing..@lara-cairncross, but I managed to make an oc!! Meet Emilia, a garden fairy of the Hidden Hollow. She’s a very sweet and kind fairy, her love for her gardening talent is so infectious and caring. Her aura is so calming and uplifting, it’s like being embraced by the very essence of an entire flower field!

🌷Anyway, here’s some facts about my little delicate flower!:

-She’s LOVES eating anything with strawberries in it! And of course anything sweet will cheer her up! But she doesn’t really eat much of it, so she mostly eats small chopped fruits.

-She’s a sea turtle! (I was originally going to make her a water fairy, but then i realized it didn’t really make up my mind, so after days of thinking and rewatching tinker bell movies, a thought popped up in my head) Emilia is the ONLY garden fairy that can control aquatic flowers and collect seaweed without getting her wings wet! While other garden fairies can sometimes get their wings dampened by doing the work; so she’s the only fairy to volunteer to do it, and yes, she can swim.

-Whenever it was time for the seasons to change, Emilia has a habit of wandering off to see the humans. Mostly because she really wanted to know more about them cause of the stories the other fairies talked about. But at early morning, she peeked through April’s window cell and saw four other fairies that looked just like her, till this day she wondered who they were.

-Back home in the forest, she has the most BIGGEST garden! Filled with various of flowers and succulents that have been on the books, while some were very rare and never heard of before. And also a border to the winter side to see her best friend! Lumi, Yuichi’s younger sister.

-When Emilia’s friends come to hug her, they can always smells like a dessert! Strawberry shortcake with a hint of vanilla syrup and a dollop of a Sakura blossom on top. Even when she gives something to them as a gift or for something, she has the most SOFTEST hands ever! That’s why she’s mostly seen holding hands with her friends when flying or walking around in the field.

-She has a VERY contagious laugh.

(I have more facts in my brain! But it’ll come to me)

🌷Little Emmy is really good at sewing! But sometimes she can stitch things at the wrong end or mess it up, she’s still learning! She goes on picnics by herself so that she can study all plants around her and in case she got hungry she packed desserts or whatever she made with her bare hands (I’m sorry if my handwriting looks so different in the picture, it’s because i took breaks and i totally forgot which brush i used before 😭)

🌷The first time Emilia went outside the forest was when she was very very young, nobody really knew her so whenever she walked around the Hidden Hollow she’d either end up bumping into someone or falling to the ground because she was still getting used to her legs rather than flying around. The garden fairies soon recognized her once she reached a flower field, surprisingly they were nice to her. They asked for her name, but she didn’t learn how to speak so instead she pointed out towards a pretty pink tulip, so the garden fairies started calling her tulip! (The little flower knew her name, but she just didn’t know how to speak yet)

;;ooc: This art got me thinking of my favorite Lumi ships and what they would gift her as a way to 'match'. ;w;

Like the drawing portrays, for Kinilumi it could be one of his earrings. (bonus points if he's the one who crafted them himself!). She could wear it alongside her feathers. uwu

For Xiaolumi, I enjoy the idea of Xiao making her a personal talisman, similar to the necklace he wears. It would be a way to ward off evil energy/spirits and keep her safe when she fights against enemies affected by the Abyss, for example.

Next is Scaralumi/Wanlumi. Perhaps a little too cutesy for him, but what if he sewed her a ribbon to put in her hair which is made from the same fabric as the strips hanging from his hat? ;w;

For Albelumi...I think rather than going for a matching outfit/accessory, I think they could match hairstyles! They already have a similar hair color, so maybe he could tie Lumine's hair into a little back ponytail as well. ^^

Last but not least Dainslumi could give her a matching cape/coat, which could be especially useful in colder areas or to wear when traveling at night! The colors/design would already match very well with Lumine's current design. <3

Lumi is needing an emotional support that is comforting in a "you can do what makes you happy" way, but also needs physical support and a "I will protect you" kind of pokemon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So maybe getting two would be best, one that is a hugger companion and another that is more of her mobility aid while being distinctly safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they can both be affectionate, but the different ways cover different reasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does that make sense????

Peaceful Mother Nature

1. Reusable cups are a great alternative to things like single use water bottles and single use cups! Reusing or refilling these single use items is also an option! Reusing single use products is a great way to cut down on waste. Refilling a plastic water bottle or using an old coffee-shop cup as a pen/paint brush/makeup brush/pencil holder on your desk is a great way to try and help reduce the use of single-use plastics. Remember! It isn't single use if you use it more than once!

2. Have clothes that are falling apart? Don't we all! Fast fashion sometimes feels unavoidable, so don't feel bad! Youtube and google are free! If you have some clothes that have holes, tears, or fraying seems, hop online and teach yourself how to fix them. There are lots of places that sell/give out inexpensive or free sewing kits! This also works for blankets and sheets! 

3. Unpaper towels have risen in popularity recently, and I think that's great! But let's face it friends, not everyone can afford to spend upwards of $15 on what is essentially a single roll of paper towels that you have to wash in order to reuse, especially when paper towels are more convenient than having to do laundry every day or two to make sure you have a full roll. Lots of stores like Walmart or Target have large packs of rags you can buy for relatively cheep! Some stores have 5-10 packs for $5-$10! Rags are the same dang thing as unpaper towels, friends! Also, paper towels are made of paper. Paper is soluble in water and, aside from glossy or colored paper, is compostable! Throw those used paper towels into a compost pile or a bucket with food scraps, and you're set!

4. Speaking of composting! Let's talk about accessible composting. Not everyone has the space or the time for large compost piles, big rotating compost bins, or giant barrels to dump their compost into. It may seem daunting, but composting is much easier than some companies and some people make it out to be! As always, google and youtube are free! Look up your options! Countertop compost bins can be anywhere from $5 to $500! More advanced ones obviously come with more advanced settings, but a $5 plastic compost bin from Target is just as valid as a $400 Lumi smart composter! Shop online for a counter top bin, or go to a gardening/hardware store and get a cheap plastic bucket with a lid. Most food scraps and paper are compostable and you can use your own compost as fertilizer for plants, offer it to local gardens and neighborhood gardens, or let friends and family use it in their own gardening endeavors

5. Lastly, contact your local, state, and federal government about legislation and requirements for massive companies and millionaires/billionaires to be liable and responsible for their own environmental impact. We as individuals can do all we can in our day to day to reduce our own waste, but the problem does not fall on us alone. Massive companies, the oil and gas industry, and our own governments have a giant role in this. Keep the pressure on the government to push for stricter laws and regulations. Pressure companies to move towards more eco-friendly methods of production and distribution. Make billionaires and their friends face repercussions to the direct impact they have on the planet. Companies and the people who run them must be held accountable for their hand in the destruction they cause and benefit from. Remember friends, we are not the problem. But we can try our best to help. Sign and share petitions, donate when you can, and make your voices heard.

Honchkrow mail!

There is a very neatly wrapped package of berry tarts. One has a carefully piped frosting Whimsicott, another has a Vaporeon. There's also a corvikight, shiny archen, lumineon. There is also a quilt packed into the box, with all of Lumi's pokemon sewed onto separate squares. A card is on top of everything.

"Joyeux anniversaire! Happy Birthday Lumi!!!! I'm finally allowed back in the kitchen, so I decided to try making pokemon with fondant to put on top of the tarts. Hoping they survive transit, I told Hench to be very careful!

The quilt is from my Auntie :) She makes a lot of quilts and she was excited to make one for you!

57. Brown iodine stains on skin

Small warning for discussion of injuries. Disclaimer: I am absolutely not a medical professional and neither is Lumi.

The housekeeper is putting enough firm pressure onto the wound as Luminița rushes back into the kitchen with a small, battered doctor's bag that has certainly seen better days. Strands of blonde hair that have fallen out of her neat bun fall into her eyes, and Lumi curses as she brushes it back.

"Language, Miss Demetrescu," the housekeeper chides through gritted teeth. Lumi feels a slight heat in her cheeks. Even with her hand slashed open by a knife in the midst of cooking, and Tsura is reprimanding her for a minor curse.

"Sorry, Tsura." She comes over to the table where the old lady sits with her hand wrapped up in her apron, the blood staining the starched white fabric. Lumi sets the doctor's bag on the table and starts rummaging around, hoping that the small bottle of cleaning fluid is still in there. She plucks out the designated sewing kit she had bought with the intention to close cuts like this, and then after a few more seconds of pulling out various bandages and the like, she finally finds what she is looking for. Aha!

"Open your hand for me?" she asks. She swallows nervously as that sweet smell of blood hits her nose, but takes a deep breath. Focus. It's only a little blood. The cut is enough to need stitches, as expected, but it needs to be cleaned first. Taking a clean rag from the pile of items that Lumi had emptied onto the table, she tears a corner off, setting it aside next to the bottle of iodine. Then, she places the rest of the rag around the wound, carefully dabbing at the wound to soak the worst of it into the fabric.

She tries not to focus on the way the blood pools into the fabric, only occasionally looking down at it with interest and doing everything she can to not taste it. Tsura might be kinder to her than most of the other staff - not just because they have to be - but she can tell well enough that the old housekeeper is still nervous about her being half-undead and her intrigue in the macabre. Once most of the blood has been cleaned, she puts the now bloodied rag onto the table and carefully drops some iodine onto the wound.

Tsura hisses and Lumi looks back at her apologetically. "Sorry, I should have warned you." She leans over to check a small notebook, bursting to the seams with notes on medical treatments that are meant to work. "Now, it looks like we have to let your hand soak it up a bit." She places the corner of the rag she had torn off around the wound, wrapping it up as a makeshift bandage for the time being.

The next twenty or so minutes are agonising, Lumi wanting to keep her hands busy so she stops thinking about the blood. She moves around the kitchen, making some coffee for Tsura and some tea with a drizzle of honey for her, raiding through the cupboards to try find something for them to eat. Finally, she finds some leftover cozonac and cuts the remaining chunk into two, but leaves it on the same plate it had been sitting on, before setting everything on a tray and bringing it over to the small table at the other end of the kitchen.

Lumi checks the hand - brown stains cover Tsura's palm from where the iodine had stained it, but otherwise it seems clean enough - and with shaky hands, she starts to work on stitching the flesh back together.
