I find it entertaining that in the Luigi's Mansion series, there's a recurring trend of having a piano playing ghost.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then there's also the trend of the ghost who's actually not a threat to Luigi.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then there's the trend of having a boss who's just annoying and hard AF.

Luigi's Mansion 3: "A Friend in the Biz" pt 2
Pt 1 here
The elevator dinged and the door slid open. Gasping wheezes came from the figure who entered. He didn't even notice that the button he had retrieved had flown from his pocket and locked into place. Instead of tapping it, he hit floor nine, nearly falling from the effort of reaching up.    From the tank on his back a concerned warble came from the green goo.    On the ninth floor, tucked away in the editing room, Morty hummed to himself as he worked on his film. He was so lost in his project that he didn't see the white form that darted through the door until it let out a sharp bark.      "Oh! Pup, what are you..." Morty paused, "What is it? Where's Luigi?" he asked. Polterpup whimpered and spun before barking at the director and darting out the door. His project forgotten, the ghost shot out and down the hall as he followed the little dog.    Whipping around the corner he arrived as the elevator doors opened and Luigi stumbled out. The young man was deathly pale, his chest heaving as he gasped. Morty caught him before he could fall.      "Great stars! What happened?"    Luigi shook his head, unable to answer as the poltergust slid from his shoulders. Morty caught it and after slinging it over his shoulders, he scooped Luigi up and flew back to the editing room with Polterpup right behind him. Once inside he carefully laid Luigi down on the thin cot that he kept to rest on when taking a break. In the soft light, he could see sweat glistening on his forehead and dark circles under his eyes. Rage began to build and the specter's eyes glowed as he shot out of the room and up to one of the security cameras.      "Gravely! What did you do to him?!"      "Oh, nothing." Hellen's voice echoed around the room. "He just got a taste of the poison that Serpci specializes in. That's what little bugs get when they creep where they shouldn't." Morty's eye color shifted to a violent, blood red as the fury within him grew. His fists clenched, trembling as he stretched and doubled in size. Electricity crackled around him and the floor began to shake, the tremors traveling up the walls.      "I warned you, I warned not to harm him!" he snarled.    Hellen darted out of her seat with a sharp gasp. The shaking from the studio climbed up, hitting her penthouse floor and a few of her TVs cracked from the strain. A growl and the hotel hostess forced her own power downward, expanding the barrier from the elevator to the studio's ceiling to block Morty out.      "Stop that you meddlesome movie HACK!" she shot back. "It won't kill him, I need him alive! I just wanted to show him he won't win!"    Smoothing down her hair, she pulled out her powder kit and began applying more to her face. "It's painful but it wears off. Eventually." she snapped the case shut. "And Morty, cross me again and I will have my beloved King lock you in a painting!"    He calmed a little but kept his glare focused on the camera. "Try me." he dared. "Wench." Her scream of anger echoed throughout the hotel.
Pleased with himself, Morty returned to the Editing Room. Polterpup was seated at the end of the cot and he whimpered as the ghost took a seat beside the bed.    Luigi stirred, a soft moan escaping him. Glazed eyes, sapphires robbed of their bright shine peered out from beneath heavy lids.      "M-Mario? Yo-You got 'way." A faint smile crossed the young man's face. Confused by the mumblings, Gooigi popped out of his container and stood nearby with a faint burble.      "Thought I was, was gon' have ta save you." Luigi cringed. "H-Hurts... Ev'thin' hurts, big b-bro."      "Hallucinating." Morty said softly. "There must be something..." he darted out of the room and the goo creature and ghostly pup heard him rustling around and racing about the room. The door opened and he backed in with his hands full. A pillow was tucked under one arm with a glass in hand, a pitcher of water held in the other. A blanket and a washcloth were draped over his shoulders.    It wasn't much later that Luigi was settled in with the pillow, the blanket set aside when Morty realized he was running a high fever.      "If there was just a way..." he pondered. He glanced at Gooigi and an idea hit him.      "You, you're made of goo, right?" Gooigi gave a wobbly nod and burbled. Taking his hand, Morty hummed. "Yes, yes you're cool to the touch, just what we need!"    He reached out and took the creature's hand. "Come here, place your hand on his forehead."    Puzzled but eager to help, Gooigi did as he was asked. Luigi shivered slightly at the cool touch.      "Perfect!" Morty praised. "Can you move, ripple a little, something to draw the heat off?" Catching on, Gooigi purred happily and relaxed so his hand and fingers flattened and slowly swirled to keep cool. A soft sigh as Luigi drifted into sleep. Morty sat back in his chair.      "I wish there was more I could do." he muttered. "But all we can do is wait."
"Luigi, c'mon Weege," Mario called through the darkness. "You gotta wake up."      "Mm, Mario?" Luigi mumbled, waking. Polterpup yipped happily and Gooigi pulled his hand back with a pleased purr as Luigi sat up, rubbing his head.      "What happened?" he muttered. "Morty?" he blinked and looked around. "How did I get back here? I was... there was sand, and snakes." Morty slumped back with relief. "You were poisoned, my young star. It seems like it wore off, though."    Luigi stared at him and the memories came back. "That's right, I was so scared. I couldn't figure out where to go but I remembered you said it was safe here."      "You certainly gave us all a fright. How are you feeling?"    The young human paused and seemed to take stock of himself. "Okay, I think. A little tired." Standing, he wobbled a little, the sight of it making Gooigi burble as he wobbled in turn. Morty darted up. "Are you sure you should be up?"      "Thanks, Morty, but I gotta go. My friends, my bro, they need me."    A look of kindness was on the ghost's face. "I understand. The love of a sibling can surpass all." he floated aside as Luigi picked up the poltergust and Gooigi slid back into his tank.      "Be careful out there, my friend." Morty urged. "And remember if you need to..."      "I'll come back here." Luigi confirmed. He then checked his communicator. "Oh weird, how did this get turned off? Gadd's not gonna be happy."    Gooigi trilled innocently in his tank as the Professor's worried voice crackled over the machine, demanding to know what was going on as Luigi made his way out of the room and back to the elevator.      "Bye, Morty, and thanks." Luigi waved as the doors shut. The ghost waved back and once the doors closed, he shot a hateful glare at the security camera.
"I don't like this, he shook the building." King Boo grumbled. Hellen stared at the screen, trailing her long fingers over Polterkitty's back. The cat stretched and yawned at her touch before jumping down.      "Patience my beloved majesty," Hellen purred. "That barrier I put in place will hold our little director. We won't have any more trouble from him."    King Boo snarled as he floated out of the room. "You better be right."

Heya again! Do you have any headcanons regarding Luigi x Morty?
💚Luigi x Morty headcanons🎥
•Luigi fell hard for him the very moment he saw Morty, the way he called him a star, the fact Morty helped him, he din't felt capable of capturing him, so he just told E. Gadd he got all the ghosts in that floor to avoid problems.
•Morty sees Luigi as his muse, after he came he couln't stop creating ideas of with Luigi as the protagonist of the story.
•The other ghosts knew inmediatly what was going on between these two and started shipping them in secret.
•After they started dating Luigi introduced Morty to Mario, they were both nervous at the begining but the thing went really well and Mario was glad that his bro found someone that made him feel happy.
•Luigi is trying to overcome his phobia of ghosts and Morty is a great help! He is learning a lot about ghosts and getting less scared of them every time.
•Polterpup is their son, change my mind.

I had lots of fun writting about these two 😁

The Number One, Hottest Ghost:
✨🎬Morty🎬✨!
Tumblr media
Was this to be expected? I think its merely destiny… a ghost so attractive even Luigi thinks highly of him. AND LETS GET TO WHY!
Looks: I based his beauty standards on the 1920s, considering his film with Luigi DOES include sound, despite sound in film being established after color in film was, so the black and white footage was most likely for aesthetic or time for Morty. Morty get points deducted for his… to put it nicely, abnormally large head. Otherwise his cap and sweater does follow the fashion during this time period (Source: Here’s What The Ideal Beauty Standards For Men And Women In The 1920s Looked Like by Noelle Talmon) along with his lean body (Source: How the ‘Ideal’ Male Body Has Changed Throughout History by Abbas Kanani MRPharmS, yes the last name is capitalized correctly)
Personality: A perfect personality primarily due to the fact that he leaves an apparent positive effect on Luigi. Of course Morty is already entertaining with his over dramatic and theatrical nature for the player, yet truly throws the player’s expectations out the window when he talks to Luigi and calls him handsome. Practically the last ghost in the entire Luigi’s Mansion series that acts positively toward Luigi was Madame Clairvoya, so its truly exciting (and mildly amusing to see Luigi thrown off guard as well by this) to see this interaction. There’s also other details that stand out that cause my appreciation for Morty to grow tenfold, such as the triumphant atmosphere there is on the floor once Morty finishes shooting the Godzilla-esque film with Luigi (I mean… Luigi is surprised at Morty’s positive reaction after the boss battle, its an adorable interaction.) There’s also the fact that if Luigi stuns Morty and fail to vacuum him as he’s busy developing the film, Morty will simply return to working on the film, implying that in the long run he doesn’t hold small actions against others, unlike a certain Chef cough cough. The absolutely MOST important detail about Morty is more so the result of his actions and why I claim he has such a positive effect… once Morty gives Luigi the button, Luigi says “Imma Star!” Let me remind everyone… Luigi often gets made fun of in practically every game he’s in, some more subtle than others… so to see someone, let alone someone who was meant to be an enemy, have such a positive effect that it makes Luigi feel positively about himself… well if that isn’t the most attractive thing ever, I don’t know what is.
Survival Rate: Very high, and while you may argue the whole Ghostzilla was a threat, that was Morty’s actor and not himself. The Survival Rate measures how a ghost by themselves can harm, and considering Morty’s lack of self defense if Luigi vacuums him up, its safe to say that Morty is not much of a threat by himself.
Niceness Rate: Very high, considering him being actively positive toward Luigi, and not having a negative effect on Luigi if he is being gloomy and melodramatic.
Overall, Morty’s reputation and often romantic portrayals with other ghosts and Luigi in the fandom is easy to follow along with. I should have expected Morty’s high placement due to a majority of points being caused by Personality, but it is still pleasantly surprising for me! Unlike Morty’s filming vocation, he’ll live in the moment and enjoy every minute he gets to spend with you!

Luigi's Mansion 3: "A Friend in the Biz" pt 3. (Finale)
Soft clicking and the whir of the editing machine were accompanied by humming as Morty worked on his film. As he checked over a strip of film he blinked. Purple light came from behind him.      "Excuse me, but I simply cannot work with that li-" he turned and was met with baleful glowing eyes. A sharp cackle as a picture frame floated into view.      "Gravely thinks it's safe to leave you here. But I think I need a new painting!" King Boo growled.
Luigi coughed as dust flew up. All around him various ghosts were picking through the remains of the hotel. Debris crunched underfoot as Mario came over.      "What do we do now? It's been ruined." Luigi said.      "We rebuild, of course!" E. Gadd came over, hard hats in hand. "We have enough ghosts and and people here to make a crew, we can rebuild better than ever!" Mario laughed as he accepted a hard hat. "Whadda ya say, lil bro? Ready to do plumbing for an entire hotel?"    Taking the hat, Luigi went to put it on but stopped as a call came from one of the ghosts. No longer under Hellen's control, Steward had been let out of containment and had been digging in the mess. He pulled something out and rushed over to the others.    Luigi let out a cry when he saw what the ghost was carrying. Morty was trapped in the painting, an expression of horror and anger on his face as he glared out. Scrambling to turn on the dark light Luigi's hands shook as the beam struck the painting. A hum and Morty shot out of his prison.      "You horrid, vile, cinema hating...!" Morty stopped and looked around in confusion. "I, where am I?"       "Morty!" Luigi grabbed the ghost in a hug, startling him even more.      "Luigi?" He returned the hug. "My young star, what on earth happened? Where's the hotel?"    Letting up a weak laugh, Luigi rubbed the back of his neck. "It, um, it's there." he waved his hand to the mess. Morty took in all in and then saw the other people nearby.      "You beat King Boo, didn't you?" he said, looking at Luigi with pride. "I knew you were more than just a movie star!"      "Movie star?" Mario came over, eyebrow raised. Luigi chuckled nervously. "It's a long story."    E. Gadd strutted past them. "Stories can wait, we have a hotel to rebuild!"
Work began and everyone agreed to stay and see it to the end. As a result a campsite was set up and that night a large campfire was lit. After dinner was done, Luigi joined Morty by the fire. The ghostly director was holding something that glinted in the light and Luigi realized it was a mangled film reel.      "My one masterpiece. Ruined." Morty said softly. "And I can't find the photo of my sister."      "Your sister?"    Morty tenderly set the reel aside. "Did you know most forget their lives once they turn into ghosts? I didn't though. I still remember my life, my family. I had a little sister, three years younger than me, and my best friend. We both wanted to go into show business, she wanted to be a singer, I wanted to direct.    "She got her chance after a lot of practice. Was hired at a night club in New Donk City. That night after her first gig we were driving home." He stared into the fire. "It was storming, and late. We had an accident. Neither of us made it."    By now others had gathered, quietly taking their seats as they listened.      "There was a bright light but I wasn't able see anything past that. She did, and since she got to live her life's dream she was able to move on. I couldn't. The pull to make my masterpiece was too strong so I stayed behind. When Hellen came to me with the idea of the studio I was so excited! A chance to meet people, to make movies and find new talent! But people didn't want to work with a ghost director. Until you." he turned to Luigi.      "You were the first one to be kind to me, actually help me out." he sighed, picking up the reel again. "And now it's ruined."    No one had ever seen Luigi move so fast, diving to catch the reel before it could land in the fire. He clutched it to his chest as he took his seat again. "Gadd says we can rebuild." Luigi supplied. "We could make you a new studio, and I'd help with your movie again." He held out the reel. "Don't give up, Morty, please?"    Morty took the reel back. "Thank you, my young star." he said gratefully. "I think I will try again."    With the ghosts able to move swiftly and the ability to make materials float to reach high places, rebuilding didn't take long, only about a month. Morty entered the elevator with Luigi and reaching for the ninth floor button, hesitated.      "Go ahead," Luigi urged. Giving his friend a nod, the director tapped the button and the doors closed. It wasn't a moment later they swung open and Morty gasped softly as he floated out.    The studio had been not only restored, but improved. Rows of posters were proudly displayed in lit cases, with movie props placed around along with signs depicting what movies they were from. Going through the nearby double doors they entered a large sound stage. Boxes of props were set aside along with a fully restored miniature city laid out and glowing with tiny lights.      "We tried to get as much of it back as we could." Luigi explained. "And we even got you this."    He stepped aside and motioned to a director's chair and a brand new megaphone. Morty picked up the megaphone, running his fingers over the gold printing that had his name.      "Morty?" Luigi prompted, "Whadda ya say?"       "What do I say?" the ghost's reply was quiet at first. "Nothing I can say except..." he whipped around with a big smile. "Let's make a movie!"
Planning to add in what film he had salvaged from the rubble, filming didn't take long and it was a week later Morty happily announced "Cut! That's a wrap!" to a series of cheers and applause. As Morty praised the crew and cast, Mario pulled Luigi aside.      "I'm proud of you, lil bro, you were great!"    Luigi turned a light pink. "Th-Thanks, Mario."    A gong rang out from nearby. Peach was holding the mallet and she smiled brightly. "There's a party ready and waiting in the ballroom!" she called to more cheers.    The party was a big one, heaps of good food and music and dancing led to laughter and plenty of talking. As the night wore on, Luigi noticed one was missing. Excusing himself he took the elevator back up to the ninth floor.    In the new editing room, Morty was quietly splicing in old footage with the fresh work. He looked up as Luigi lightly tapped on the door.      "Am I interrupting?" Luigi asked, his tone back to the shy young man who had first entered the studio during his adventure.      "Not at all, come in." Morty said warmly, indicating the chair beside him. Luigi took the seat and watched quietly as his friend resumed his work. After a while, Morty spoke.      "I didn't think you'd want to come back in here, after the last time." he said. Luigi was silent, remembering the fear as Serpci's poison crept through his veins and how he stumbled back to the elevator, only one thought on his mind.      "I feel safe here." he said softly. He then seemed to remember something. "Oh, I have something that I think is yours."    Reaching into the front pocket of his overalls, he pulled out something and handed it over. Morty gasped, eyes wide as he took the photo.      "I thought it was lost forever." he whispered, ghostly tears gathering in his eyes.      "You and your sister, right?" Luigi ventured to guess.   Morty sniffled, wiping at his eyes. "Yeah." The young man grew thoughtful as he watched Morty pin the photo back up. "Do you think when the movie's done, you'll move on?"    There was a pause. "I'm not sure. I'd like to see my sister again, I miss her every day. But this hotel, everything here, I feel like I've been given another life." He turned back around, smiling. "And I'd like to see where it goes."    Luigi smiled back. "Yeah, me too."    END      By "CC"
