Some Lucy to follow up the last bit. This, too, is before The Traitors section I'll be writing.

Lucy got some good ideas from her discussion with Chemach. After all, she learned that the ancient relic maker had foreseen her own madness, thus it wasn't a surprise to her brothers. As to why such a thing could be foreseen was likely related to their statuses as children of one of the First Gods. And Chemach's insight, especially into the nature of her crown, was...

Enlightening.

After she returned from her successful crusade, she couldn't help but wonder what she could do. She'd already reached further with her implementation of sin and was thinking of new ways to gather more of it. But now, she also had another goal.

That was why she consulted the Red Crown once again in the quiet of her study within the temple. But, it wasn't just her and the Red Crown.

The Green Crown, once in place on the pedestal she made for it, was now absent and instead in her hands.

You see, Lucy was quite curious.

When the First Gods ruled the lands, they bestowed the crowns to others that they favored, giving them power and longer lives. However, the First Gods themselves...she couldn't find records of whether or not they wore crowns.

Even so, with time, the crowns turned from gifts bestowed by gods to evidence of godhood itself, and each crown had its own attributes, something it represented. They would gain energy and power related to that attribute, and with thorough exploration, they could strengthen themselves and grow even more powerful.

Right now, she was the undead vessel of the God of Death. Her power was reliant on whatever The One Who Waits allowed...to an extent. The crown was loyal to whomever it was gifted to, so the Red Crown, while connected still to The One Who Waits, was loyal to her. So, she asked it.

"Would you feel betrayed if I wore another crown alongside yourself?"

The Red Crown simply stared back with its single eye.

"Why would I feel betrayed? Crown Bearer, I am loyal to you, and in return, you gain power as a god, feeding me. As long as you feed me, you bear me, and I give you what you need."

"Then, would you allow me to wear another crown?"

"Allowance is not mine to bestow."

Considering such an answer, she came to a conclusion. It was not whether the Red Crown would allow her, but whether she could withstand the power and energy of such a thing. That...she wasn't completely sure of...

But, fortune favored the bold, and what was the worst that could happen? She could die, right? She'd already done that.

As the Red Crown curled near her neck, she stared at the Green Crown in her hands, its gaze stagnant and inactive. Then, she breathed in deeply, and the Red Crown reformed on her head as she raised the Green one to join it.

"...I feel like this will hurt."

Even so, she began pressing the Red and Green crowns together.

In Limbo, Narinder's eyes snapped open from his quiet meditation.

Aym and Baal looked up at him, curious yet respectful.

The God of Death stared forward at nothing, trying to parse what he was seeing and feeling.

For, in his soul, he was registering the death of his vessel.

And yet, without him acting on it or pulling the Lamb into his realm, he felt her fight right back, maintaining her consciousness.

But when he tried to see what was causing it, all he saw were flashes.

A wooden floor, cracking under hooved feet.

The light of the moon shining through stained glass.

A desk bathed in red light.

A mixture of black and red blood splattering onto the ground.

Hooved fingers scrabbling against the floor.

An arm shaking, laying in a growing pool of ichor.

Flashes of bright white light and an all-consuming darkness.

A great trembling.

The light of a soul barely clinging to existence...

Snuffing out.

...

Then coming back on by the power of its will alone, without his input.

Death.

Rebirth.

Death.

Rebirth.

Cycling chaotically in painful flashes.

Until the light of a soul stayed firm, burning with resistence.

With resilience.

Narinder's head throbbed painfully, enough that he grasped his head, a snarl curling from his lips.

Something was not right. Something had happened--something severe. But he couldn't tell exactly what it was.

"Lambbb..." he growled.

His vessel, the one he somehow couldn't bring himself to trust. The one who was efficient in laying Leshy and Heket low in an act no other vessel ever got close to completing. The one he found suspicious in all her dealings and quiet reverence...

She'd done something.

And yet, he couldn't seem to find out what it was. For, when he pushed to see through the crown now, he only saw an office, a desk, and two hooved hands looking down at a bible compiled of old teachings made anew in the name of the God of Death.

But surely that wasn't... That couldn't be right. How could she have cycled through life and death so quickly and just be reading? What were the little things he'd seen happen?

Narinder didn't understand. And that's what disquieted him the most.

Lucille gasped on the ground, ichor seeping back between her lips and into her mouth.

Her world was in pain. Her body was in pain.

She laid still in a pool of her own blood, once burning hot through her veins, now spilled out and seeping into her wool. Every cell in her body throbbed in agony to the beat of her heart.

And yet.

Once she struggled to sit up, kneeled in tar black spillage on the ground, she stared down at the pool, some blood still dripping like tears down her face.

A red eye and its light stared back. Then, a green eye opened on the crown, pushing against the other. The two quickly adjusted, making room for one another. Then, both crowns stared back at her from the mirror of the ichor.

The floor, cracked and creaking, had started to grow poppies.

"Hah."

Her throat burned, raw, but she let out a laugh regardless.

After that, the followers would note a few small things.

For one, the Lamb smiled more. She spoke more as well. Although she was kind before, she'd had a distance to her that disquieted those unused to her nature. But now, she'd become more amicable, smiling, joking, and even winking at others.

She seemed to enjoy rituals more, spending more time around the flock instead of the careful distance she kept from them despite collecting more followers each time she had the chance.

She seemed to take some humor in popping up at random points, as though appearing out of thin air. One would barely hear her bell ring before turning and seeing her there, a mischievous smile on her face.

The Lamb also began to beautify the cult further. She went back to Darkwood just to gather more camellias and wood to build new statues and light fixtures, all dripping with greenery and plant life. Moreover, it seemed that the soil of their land became more fertile, with food growing quicker, larger, and healthier. Perhaps the crop rotations were working well!

All these changes seemed exceptionally pleasant, except for her new appearance habit, but that was easy to adjust to.

Only her most loyal followers also noticed how The Worm's crown was missing from its pedestal, replaced by a stone replica. They had been worried, concerned that someone was planning to betray their savior, until they saw a green eye peer at them from the back or side of her crown. Only they realized that, if she stood in one place for long enough, poppies would begin growing around her feet.

Her flock absorbed her words as she began discussing the importance of chaos and order in addition to preaching on life and death. The effects of her rituals seemed, somehow, stronger, lasting longer and cost fewer resources. Ceremonies spoke less of her future sacrifice and more of an incoming era of peace and prosperity.

Few understood the implications. Those who did cemented their belief.

All the while, the Lamb gave them all a pleased, loveable smile, as "beloved" steadily became a mainstay of her lexicon.

She seemed more settled. Calmer. Happier.

And there was nothing wrong with that at all.

hey there luci! I was reading up about the 2022 season, and sorry to bring up bad memories but what were they trying to fix when they messed up the upgrades? i know there were engine issues as well but the car went from sharp front end to not having it at all iirc? i am aware of the conspiracy theories but i dont know much, and you seem like the person who would have an idea of the technical side. if you could point me to the right direction that is okay too.

I am currently working on a very long article going over all of Ferrari's 2022 season, including the car and the upgrade developments.

I will say this, because it kind of applies to what we are dealing with now(and also part of 2023), that when you have a car with a stronger front end (or at least with that being the goal) and instability becomes an issue the easiest way to add some stability back is to work in some understeer to balance it out. It's a band aid solution and often doesn't make the car better per se, but it does make it drivable. Obviously when this has been done in the past it has been more of an issue for Charles as he prefers oversteer.

A lot of people talk about the engine reliability issues in 2022, however the aero issues were in my opinion the technical thing that killed the season for us. (goes without saying strategy also cost us but this is about the car so)

That is a very simplified version of things, but I think a lot of people overlook that Ferrari have had trouble building a stable car with a stronger front end, and the way they know to correct is with some understeer. There was more in 2022 as I will explain(it's gonna take a while this is a long project) The good results that we got in spite of this really masked a LOT of problems on the technical side. In hindsight it's easier to see how it was not really going to come together given the technical team at the time.

Fan Theory:

I think Luci is gonna get his happy ending. He's getting pretty close to Satan, and I feel like he's gonna get some upgrades. Sure, little sub level Luci is my favorite (with wings, of course), but if he's not an Uber by the end of the series, I would be surprised.

(I hope he and Bean can keep their bond tho. I love them together.)

Relationships & Personality 02: On a scale of 1 to 10, how annoying are they to Lucifer? :)

I'm gonna give Arsenios an average score of about an 8. Normally Arsenios avoids Lucifer because he knows he's gonna get annoyed lol. He doesn't want to start trouble. But if he actually talks to Lucifer, it shoots up to like the max. So averaging it out I'm going with eight.

Ciaran is always a 10. Ciaran doesn't like Lucifer very much for quite a while. They eventually come around, but even then, they are a troublemaker at heart. They are actively contributing to Lucifer's grey hairs and most of the time it isn't even on purpose.

Concept and design 02: What inspired you to create them, and what is the first thing you decided about them?

Arsenios was based on the concept of the crossroads demon, but specifically the idea that musicians will sell their soul in exchange for musical talent. I was just thinking about more traditional demon stories and how they might fit into the world of OM. So the first thing I decided about him were his powers and that part of his history.

The only thing that inspired me to create Ciaran was the need for an MC lol. I actually went through a few different iterations before finally settling on who they are now. They had different names and slightly different looks and personalities. Their backstory has always been somewhat the same except that the amount of siblings they had changed drastically. Like at one point, they had four siblings. But anyway, I think the first thing I decided about Ciaran was their name. It's a name I've always liked. So I basically went okay, my MC's name is Ciaran, now who are they? And then I took bits and pieces of everything I'd written so far and that's how Ciaran came to be lol.

Demon 03: Do they have any special abilities?

I answered this here! And rambled quite a bit, too lol. But I will add something about the way Arrie makes pacts - obviously the whole point is to give humans musical talent. So instead of just raw power, Arsenios is essentially giving the human he has a pact with knowledge and ability. He's passing on his own skill at playing an instrument to that human. He can still be controlled through the pact like any other demon, so I think he could give the human raw power if they demanded it. But that's not usually the point and most humans who make a pact with him are doing it for the talent.

Human 03: Did they believe in demons and angels before the exchange program? Did they have any contact with the paranormal before it?

Ciaran tries not to think about these things at all. They were perfectly happy not believing in such things and now they want to enjoy the ride of being an exchange student in the Devildom without having a religious crisis at the same time lol. Ciaran's mother is a devout Catholic and Ciaran was raised with that belief system. So for a time, they believed in all that stuff. But as they grew older, they began to question and eventually left the church altogether. So they very much stopped believing. After that, they didn't really have an opinion. If you asked them about what they believed, they would say they didn't know. They would say that they think it's more important to focus on the now, on the life you're currently living, than to worry about what might happen in the afterlife. They're too busy living to worry about it. (This all changes dramatically in the AU where they're half fae, but let us not get into that lol.)

I don't think Ciaran has had any paranormal contact previously. They're pretty thrilled about magic existing because it's something they liked to believe in (in a non religious way). But if they had ever encountered anything like that in their life, they were unaware of it at the time.

what is their favourite food?

Arsenios's favorite food is macarons! It's kinda silly, but he's friends with Barbatos and has been for a while. So Barb invites him over to the castle for tea parties and such. And that's where Arrie first encounters a macaron. He's amazed when he picks one up and it's super light. And forever after that, they were his favorite. Arsenios is a good cook, but he's terrible at baking. So I think he sees them as really special in that sense, too.

Ciaran's favorite food is a roast beef and provolone sandwich on sourdough bread. Specifically bread baked by their older sister. Even better if there's also pepperoncinis on it. Their sister Fiadh owns her own bakery and she's been baking since they were little kids. She's been making sandwiches for Ciaran for so many years, it's like a comfort food for them now.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Characters Upgrades Part 15

After finding out that, sadly and unfortunately, the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game will discontinue or end its service on February 29, 2024, started spending my saved resources and upgrading the chars who I ended up skipping before.

The end of service announcement news came as a shock. I talk more about that in another post, but I really wish the news wasn’t true. Wish the game wasn’t ending at all.

But since the game is unfortunately ending soon, there’s no longer any reason to save resources.

Started working on maxing out chars who I may have skipped before or who aren’t fully built yet.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Characters Notes

All the chars in DFFOO are currently at the max of Level 90 and Crystal Level 90. Too bad Level 100 and Crystal Level 100 never got unlocked for any char, not even in the Japanese version of the game.

Note about Spheres: some of my chars have real Spheres while some have RF Spheres while others have no Spheres at all.

Some chars have RF Spheres which I now replaced with real Spheres while some chars have no Spheres but I now gave them some.

Will talk more about Spheres in another post so won’t bother to mention them here.

Note about Artifacts: most, if not all, of my chars already have perfect Artifacts. So will only mention if a char doesn’t actually have perfect Artifacts.

Note about Bloom Stones: all my chars already have their Bloom Stone so won’t bother mentioning this anymore either.

Note about Summon Boards: most of my chars already have all of their Summon Boards completed.

But for a lot of chars, particularly the ones that I’m not currently using, haven’t bothered to unlock the tiles that would complete all of their Boards even though I already have all of the points needed to do so.

This is in order to avoid collecting the gems and tickets that come with completing these Boards so I can use said resources for future banners.

IIRC, only chars that have just recently been added to the game and who I ended up skipping don’t have any points needed to complete all of their Summon Boards.

Will only mention it if a char doesn’t have all of their Summon Boards completed.

Note about Character Enhancement Boards: if I decide to fully build a char (as in maxing out all of their weapons and such), then I make sure to also complete all of their Character Enhancement Boards.

If a screenshot of a char says they have 0 Char Boards completed, this doesn’t necessarily mean they really have 0 Boards completed. Usually, I unlock parts of a char’s LD Board, particularly the tiles that would give me their LD Call and/or LD extension passive.

If it’s available, I would sometimes also unlock parts of their Force Board, particularly the tiles that would give me their Force Echo and/or Force extension passive.

Will only mention it if a char only has a few or some of their Boards completed.

Ardyn Izunia or Ardyn Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV

Currently, my Ardyn Izunia or Ardyn Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV (#ad) has his 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, Force or FR, and Burst or BT fully MLB.

His High Armor has been Realized to 0/3. His Ex has been Purpled. All of his Boards have been completed.

Now, I spent the 3 Ingots needed to Blue Ardyn's High Armor.

Spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to get Ardyn's Burst to BT+ 3/3 or Green.

Spent the points needed to get him to Force Enhancements Level 50.

Sadly, Ardyn doesn’t have access to the Force Board and Force Echoes feature in the Global or English version of DFFOO so he’s forever stuck at 4 Char Boards completed instead of all 5 or M.

Krile Mayer Baldesion from Final Fantasy V

Currently, my Krile Mayer Baldesion from Final Fantasy V has her 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB.

Her Ex has been Purpled. She has her High Armor. All of her Boards have been completed. She has up to Force Enhancements Level 3.

Spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to Blue Krile's High Armor.

Have a copy of Krile's FR that hasn't been limit broken at all.

Spent the High Power Stones needed to fully MLB Krile's FR.

Spent the points needed to get her to Force Enhancements Level 50.

The only things she’s missing now are the following: her Burst weapon and the Force Board and Force Echoes feature but sadly, none of these are available in the Global or English version of DFFOO.

Dark Knight Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV

Currently, my Dark Knight Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV has his 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB.

His Ex has been Purpled. He has his High Armor. All of his Summon Boards have been completed. The Character Enhancement Boards for his 15cp, 35cp, and Ex have been completed.

Now, I spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to Blue Dark Knight Cecil's High Armor.

Have a copy of Dark Knight Cecil's FR that's been limit broken twice. Recently, got another copy of said weapon.

Used the dupe to fully MLB Cecil's FR.

Also recently got my first copy of Cecil's Burst. Now, I spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to get his Burst to BT+ 3/3 or Green.

Completed the rest of his Char Boards and got him to Force Enhancements Level 50.

Sadly, Dark Knight Cecil doesn’t have access to the Force Board and Force Echoes feature in the English or Global version of DFFOO so he’s forever stuck at 4 Char Boards completed instead of all 5 or M.

Rydia from Final Fantasy IV

Currently, my Rydia from Final Fantasy IV has her 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB.

Bought Rydia's High Armor and spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to Blue it.

Have a copy of Rydia's FR that hasn't been limit broken at all.

Now, I spent the High Power Stones needed to fully MLB said weapon.

Completed the rest of Rydia's Char Boards and got her to Force Enhancements Level 50.

The only things she’s missing now are the following: her Burst weapon and the Force Board and Force Echoes feature but sadly, none of these are available in the Global or English version of DFFOO.

Desch from Final Fantasy III

Currently, my Desch from Final Fantasy III has his 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB.

The Character Enhancement Boards for his 15cp, 35cp, and Ex have been completed.

Bought Desch's High Armor and spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to Blue it.

Have a copy of Desch's FR that hasn't been limit broken at all.

Now, I spent the High Power Stones needed to fully MLB said weapon.

Completed the rest of Desch's Char Boards and got him to Force Enhancements Level 50.

The only things he’s missing now are the following: his Burst weapon and the Force Board and Force Echoes feature but sadly, none of these are available in the Global or English version of DFFOO.

Lulu from Final Fantasy X

Currently, my Lulu from Final Fantasy X has her 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB.

Bought Lulu's High Armor and spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to Blue it.

Completed the rest of Lulu's Char Boards and got her to Force Enhancements Level 50.

The only things she’s missing now are the following: her Force weapon, her Burst weapon and the Force Board and Force Echoes feature but sadly, none of these are available in the Global or English version of DFFOO.
