Luckae angst
A fight didn't happen that night, only a confession followed by another.
Kaeya stared in disbelief as Diluc blurted out his love for him and how he wanted Kaeya by his side instead of his dead nation. Call him selfish because he was.
Bodies molded together as they ruined the sheets that night. Promises and heartfelt confessions were whispered to Kaeya's ears, meant only for him. Tears stained his cheeks in both pleasure and relief, kissed away by the redhead above him.
However, as the sun rose, the side of the bed where a warm body once laid there holding Kaeya tightly to his chest was gone. Instead, a cryo vision laid beside him with the mondstadt symbol already encased around it. Diluc must've found it first, knowing who it was meant for. Knowing he was partly the reason why Kaeya was gifted—or rather cursed with one.
With it, there lay a pyro vision. A perfect contrast.
A promise from Diluc.

Rain pours with crackling thunder and burning light. That rage in his body extinguished with the mist that ran over the mans shoulders. Crimson drops shine mockingly on his hands and blade and yet the body of its origin stands much alive behind him. He cannot help but stare dully at the ground. The emotions had come to a crescendo not worth an audience- silence rings in his mind as he stares at the other through the reflection of red metal. Diluc hisses out, voice caught in his throat,
"What did you do?" Full one shot on ao3 [here]

of forgiveness
Kaeya’s forgiveness does not come quick, nor easy. This is true even for those he adores, if not especially so. A betrayal stings far more than a thousand cuts by a sword, and is not so easily forgotten. He had loved and trusted Diluc; he thought that their bond was strong enough that he would not reject him for telling the truth. He thought, by confessing his lies, he would be able to shed his past and truly devote himself to Mondstadt—to Diluc. He thought they would be able to seek succor in one another, to process the grief of Crepus’s death together.
Diluc took that sanctuary away from him. He collapsed it under rubble that could never be cleared with bare hands. He told him that he was not deserving of it, his forgiveness, and left him in the cold to soothe his grief with frozen fingers incapable of providing the warmth it needed to mend.
Though he has ostensibly forgiven him, and they have rekindled their relationship, more passionately and devotedly than ever before, the wound never completely scabbed over.
Sometimes things still pick at it and make it bleed, just a little, weeping like an infection at the cusp of healing. So after devoting his time to ensure Klee’s happiness and safety, to prove to her that she is loved by all and especially him, that she be allowed to retain her innocence and see through her childhood without conflict nor tragedy, he returns home to Diluc and finds it hard to look at him.
Behind Diluc’s adoring eyes, Kaeya sees betrayal. He sees abandonment. He sees the last vestiges of his chance at a happy youth dashed; he sees Crepus’s dead eyes, the hole in his chest, the blade that scarred him. He sees the vague shadow of his father’s eyes, the hatred and pride he imparted upon him before he abandoned him here in this strange land with a burden so heavy that no child should ever be made to suffer its weight.
And that night, he doesn’t drink. “Oh, I couldn’t possibly,” he says. “I’m too tired. It’s been a long journey.” He shrugs Diluc off when he offers to take a bath with him. "I’ve spent so much time in close quarters with others this past week, I just need a little time to relax and unwind. Don’t look so glum, Master Diluc, I’ll be with you before you know it."
But in the bath, he buries his face in his knees and digs his fingers into his chest, right above his heart, where it hurts so profoundly he half expects to see blood on his hands, and he mourns. He mourns the loss of not one childhood, but two, each sundered by lies that, even to this day, he cannot keep out of his mouth.
Klee will have the happiness he could not. He will ensure of this, with his dying breath, even if it rips out the sutures and bleeds him dry.
When he leaves the bath an hour later, eyes read and puffy, he says nothing to Diluc. He does not look at him. He crawls into his bed and curls up against his chest and knows that Diluc can feel his pain.
But they are silent, for Diluc knows that there is not a thing he could say to ever earn Kaeya's forgiveness.

when dark clouds come (will you stand by me still)
Rating: Mature Pairing: Kaeya/Diluc Major Themes: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Mental Health, Introspection Chapters: 1/1 Words: 8,654 Where to Read: AO3 Keep Reading for Summary!
There it is: In Kaeya’s eye. His starlit pupil has clouded over, darkening with sentiments Diluc knows of all too well. Sentiments he's seen, sentiments he’s felt more times than he’s had years on earth – pressed against his temple, curled around his body, wrapped around his waist… The pain. The fear. The concern. The worry… All which convey the same three words, only in their own distinctive tongues – and yet, Diluc understands them still.
Three words he’s heard only once before. Two weeks ago. Spoken softly into his skin.
Three words he couldn’t… Three words that have always belonged to Kaeya – and yet he couldn’t…
❄️🔥❄️🔥❄️
or: even in total darkness, fear finds no occupancy in kaeya - because it's not the dark that scares him. nor does it frighten diluc, for that matter... no, not really. diluc isn't afraid of the dark. it may taunt him, may tempt him... but it comforts him just as well. rather, diluc fears himself the most... then again, masked as he's been by a cloak of shadows, what awaits him when he finally steps into the light (if he dares to) terrifies him even more.

Diluc takes Kaeya's presence for granted, always expecting him to return to Angel's Share for their tug and pull; bickering and teasing. Constantly, edging around their unresolved feelings. Until one day Kaeya stops.
He gives up the charades of trying to be cordial with Diluc in hopes of maybe mending their relationship one day, to him, it seems to only be in vain since Diluc never seems to change from his apathetic demeanor when Kaeya is near.
Why should Kaeya be wasting his breath and heart when the object of his affections seemingly could care less whether he was there or not? So to save himself any further delusion, Kaeya stops dropping into Angel's Share, instead, he takes up occupancy at Cat's Tail—much to the chagrin of Diona. Naturally, the Knights follow suit, leaving the tavern less lively than Diluc had grown accustomed to while bartending.
And when they pass each other on the streets or happen to be needed by the Traveler, Kaeya doesn't take the easy jabs that he so easily finds to tease the ‘Poor Master Diluc’. The warmth of his laugh is replaced with an icy wall of formalities, only letting his usual self slip while in the presence of the Traveler and their flying companion. That airy, carefree laugh was forced out by the Traveler's retorts and unamused expressions.
Diluc watches from the sidelines as he comes to realize how selfish he has been with his time. Always assuming Kaeya would be by his side as he had always been when they were kids. But it was foolish for him to think Kaeya would wait forever.
Who was Diluc to demand Kaeya's time when Diluc himself had left him?
If Kaeya found happiness elsewhere, that should be enough for Diluc, right?
A bittersweet end for a selfish man.
So why does he still long to see the stars at dawn?

Diluc loved the way Kaeya lied to him.
He just looked so pretty acting dumb but Diluc knew him like the palm of his hand. He knew Kaeya was lying because of how his eyes weren't focused on him, his hands were warm and sweaty even though he had a cryo vision and his lips were trembling while he spoke to him.
Diluc caressed Kaeya's cheek lovingly then he brushed his hair softly, wanting him to relax.
"You can be sincere with me, love." Diluc spoke in a whisper, his hand went to Kaeya's neck and gently pulled him closer so their noses could barely touch each other.
"I am being sincere, Diluc. Everything is fine, you are fine." Kaeya's voice was shaky. Diluc smiled while staring at him. Another lie but this time was more noticeable.
"Love, look at me." Diluc wanted him to stare at his eyes, not at his bleeding body or the big wound he had in his stomach. He wanted him to look at his eyes.
Both of them knew that none of this was going to be fine. His, now, uncovered eye revealed every secret that Kaeya once hid from his lover. At the end he gave up, realizing that he couldn't argue with him. With tears in his face, Diluc gave him a sad smile.
"You've done well, love. I'm so proud of you." Diluc praised his partner like he always did after a long day of work, but now those words hurt more than ever.
"Don't do this Diluc, I can fix it." The tears that Kaeya dropped from his sad blue eyes landed on Diluc's cheeks, making it seem like it was Diluc the one crying his soul out. The desperate and broken voice of Kaeya got lost in the sound of the rain. The hidden moon and the cold rain also felt sad from watching the two lovers fall apart.
"No need to fix anything, Kaeya. Just kiss me before I go." Diluc whispered. He was in so much pain, the main reason could've been because the big wound that was killing him but what actually hurted him the deepest was leaving Kaeya alone. His loved one, his other half, his soulmate and tons of cliche things that Kaeya called him on a daily basis in a failed attempt to flirt with him. He smiled at the memory.
Kaeya wiped his tears but his sobs were uncontrollable. He had lost in every way possible. He had no family, no nation, no friends and now, no loved one. He started regretting all the decisions he had made in the past that led him to this situation.
Still with both of them crying, knowing that this time will be their last time that they'd touch each other's skin, Diluc ended with the tiny centimeters that kept them apart.
Unfortunately that last kiss stole Diluc's last breath.
“You probably wanted me to keep living after your death, right?” Even though he was still crying he took the sword that went through Diluc’s body and looked at it.
“You're so selfish, Diluc.” Kaeya chuckled. He didn't need to think about it, he couldn't live a normal life after everyone he cared about died. His dad abandoned him in a storm like his lover just did. That was so mean of him.
“Years ago I promised you that if you leave this earth before I do, I will go with you.” He aimed the bloody edge of the sword towards his heart and let go a sigh. “A promise is a promise, my love. Please don't be mad at me” He smiled and with the poor strength he had left he pushed the sword, stabbing himself.
The blue eye man’s body fell next to the red eye man, he stabbed the part of his body that hurt the most. Even though he had scars everywhere and was missing a part of his leg he had chances to survive but he simply decided not to. Yes, he had chances but no motivation at all.
The whole dramatic scene was witnessed by three blonde people just a few meters away, the three of them not belonging to the world of Teyvat. The woman sighed and walked away, being followed by the other long blonde haired guy. The last man bowed and talked to himself.
“Your sacrifice will never be forgotten, prince.”

🖤 nb 21+ looking for rpers that are also 21 +! I've been super itching for a Luckae (Diluc/Kaeya) rp from genshin impact. I'm pretty open to plotting, different aus or canon, always a sucker for dark themes and angst. I'd be open to playing either, however will admit I have a slight preference to Kaeya. But again, just been itching for it so I can do either!
Leave a like, and anon will get back to you!

“Diluc,” he says, but it isn’t him that speaks. It’s instead this mirror image, though he sees the softer face, the brighter stare - younger, he looks younger.
In the panic of being confronted by his past self, Diluc spins a tale of his current life that only serves to revive heartbreaking memories and emotions he'd long since buried. For better or worse, they linger even after his younger self has departed.

I do wish the English Genshin fandom wasn't such wimps about kaeluc/luckae. Like who cares what the INCORRECT English translation says. They aren't brothers and even if they were, why does it matter so much to you?? They are no real so who cares what people ship!! I guarantee you would have a way better life if you just stayed in your lane and minded your own business.
Kaeluc antis are also missing out on such a fountain of angst!! Sorry that the English fandom is literally the only one that sees them as brothers!!! But yes please go on believing the English fandom is correct even though every other part of the genshin fandom internationally doesn't??!!
In conclusion, genshin fandom please stay in your lane and mind your business because what other people ship not hurting you. It's not a hard concept. If you have a hard time doing this, get off the internet and touch grass
Anyways, if you have some good LucKae fics, let me know. I prefer long fics with the right amount of angst.
If you don't like this: BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!
